What awaits you in The Division 2 now
What is special about The Division 2? The Division 2 is a shared world online shooter and the successor to Tom Clancy’s The Division. The game is played from a third-person perspective, uses a cover system, and emphasizes RPG elements like skills, character progression, or loot in the style of Diablo.
What is it about? You take on the role of agents of the Strategic Homeland Division. After a virus outbreak has thrown the world into chaos, you are tasked with restoring law and order in the capital of the United States.
Because the United States is increasingly sinking into civil war. Ruthless factions threaten to destroy the foundation of democracy and terrorize the suffering population. It is therefore up to you to put an end to this.
How is it played? In The Division 2, you can play various PvP and PvE content with up to 4 players in a group (up to 8 in a raid). There is matchmaking for almost all activities.
A large part of the content can also be completed entirely alone, meaning solo players also have plenty to do.
What happened recently? In early March 2020, the major “Warlords of New York” expansion was released. This is currently the latest content in the game. However, this must be purchased separately and is not part of the free demo.
The new add-on brings all sorts of exciting new features, such as a new open world in New York’s Lower Manhattan, a continuation of the story with the hunt for the supervillain Aaron Keener. In addition, in Year 2, the seasons will be introduced, which will enrich the endgame and ensure that there is always something new to do in The Division 2.
Have you tried the free trial version of The Division? Then feel free to share your experiences with the demo in the comments and whether the first 8 hours convinced you to purchase the full version.
