What is a loot filter? A loot filter is a tool that changes how you see the loot on your screen in Path of Exile 2. The tool highlights important loot and ensures that less important loot is hidden or displayed smaller. This way, you shouldn’t overlook the good and expensive items in PoE2.
Loot filters are by far the most important tool because they tell both beginners and pros which items are really important. We will explain to you how to activate them.

Activating PoE2 Loot Filter on PC, PS5, and Xbox
How do you activate the loot filter? To activate a loot filter on your account, there are different ways. We will show you the simplest method that works for all platforms at the same time.
- First, you need to go to the Path of Exile website (pathofexile.com). We have directly linked you to the correct place.
- There, you need to log in.
- Now, choose one of the loot filters.
- The loot filters by Neversink are usually the most popular. They differ in how many items they hide.
- The filter “0-toosoft” hides almost nothing, while the filter “6-uberplu” only shows the very most important and valuable items.
- We recommend “NeverSink-2semistr-PoE2” because it works well both at the beginning and later in the game.
- Once you have chosen a filter and clicked on it, you can see exactly what the filter includes. However, you don’t have to pay further attention to this, so click on the green “Subscribe” button in the upper right corner.
- You have now successfully added the filter to your account.
- Log into your account on the desired platform and enter the game.
- Open the settings → Game → Item Filter
- There you should see in light blue which filters are assigned to your account.
Update of the Loot Filters for PoE2 on Consoles
How does the PoE2 loot filter work on PS5 and Xbox? Loot filters are also available on consoles. It should be noted that only loot filters that have been activated on your “Path of Exile” account can also be used on consoles.
If you create a loot filter yourself and insert it locally into your game files on the PC, this loot filter is not automatically saved to your account and can only be used locally. Therefore, we recommend using the method we provided, then the loot filter should also become visible on your console.
