The Twitch streamer Papaplatte is soon hosting a WoW event. However, first, he needs to coach his team of fellow streamers.
What are they doing? The German Twitch community is currently preparing for a big WoW event in the style of the US content guild OnlyFangs. More than 200 streamers want to be there – including many who have little experience with World of Warcraft.
The Twitch streamer Papaplatte is one of the organizers and is currently trying to get his team of fellow streamers Rumathra and Reeze ready for the event. However, the training could be going better.

When two talk, the third dies
Here’s how it went: On December 1, 2025, the third training session took place. Before that, Papaplatte rallied his colleagues: Today, no one is allowed to die. The team aimed to reach level 14 to run the first dungeon. This plan would be ruined if anyone died in the game.
The event takes place in WoW’s Hardcore mode. Who dies there loses their character permanently and must restart the leveling phase. Previously, the streamers had died once, but that was at level 6, so it was still relatively easy to bear. So, what could go wrong?
To reach the last needed levels, they headed to Durotar to farm Lightning Lizards. The streamers got in the groove and familiarized themselves with their new abilities. Reeze learned to use a skill of his warrior to interrupt the lizard’s attack. So far, so good.
But after half an hour of concentrated grinding, tragedy struck: Reeze became careless, strayed too far from his companions, paid no attention to his health bar – and his warrior was lost. RIP Chongochango. You can check out the decisive moment here:
As in sports, Coach Papaplatte goes through the sequence with his pupil afterwards: Why didn’t he say anything or use healing? The streamer explains: He was just focused on the timing of his attacks and didn’t expect to die against such an opponent – after all, he had been taking down the mobs relatively easily until then. He hadn’t even seen his health bar.
It turns out: While he and Rumathra were engaged in conversation, Reeze pulled the aggro of two Lightning Lizards onto himself. He could take down the first one, but he was then chancesless against the second. Or, as Papaplatte expertly points out: “You’ve fought badly back to back, I get it.”
At least the streamers agree: Better it happens now than in the final run. And so Reeze also learned the most important lesson in Hardcore WoW: The shame of a really dumb death.
