Palworld 1.0: Tier List with all new Pals that came with the full version

Palworld Sekhmet Tier List

With the release of version 1.0 of Palworld, the survival game has received 72 new Pals, including 47 completely new creatures and 25 new variants of already existing Pals. To help you decide which Pals to rely on, we have ranked them in a tier list.

How is this tier list created? We have checked various sources and consulted the community, as well as played Palworld up to level 80 and through a large part of the story. Based on that, we created the tier list. A Pal scores particularly well if it ranks among the best creatures in the game for its assigned task—whether that’s base work, traveling, or fighting.

However, please note that the tier list only ranks the new Pals against each other. The old Pals played no role in the ranking.

Additionally, we have not yet been able to extensively test all Pals ourselves. The tier list is therefore still a work in progress and may be adjusted in the future. If you have suggestions for improvements or simply want to share your own tier list, feel free to leave us comments!

S-Tier – These are the best new Pals

In the S-Tier, you’ll find mainly Pals that have a work suitability of 8 in a specific area, making them extremely useful helpers for the tasks in the base. By raising the maximum work suitability, these Pals can reach the new upper limit (level 10) even without the new tech books.

These include the following Pals:

  • Dandilord (Sowing)
  • Shaolong (Watering)
  • Renjishi (Fire Generation)
  • Solenne (Crafting)
  • Silvance (Medicine Production)
  • Celesdir Noct (Logging)
  • Aegidron (Mining)

Some of these Pals are particularly good because they also have a high suitability in other important work areas. This notably applies to Dandilord, Silvance, and Renjishi.

The S-Tier is supplemented, among others, by Knocklem Ignis, which, although it does not have an 8-suitability, excels in mining with a 7 and transport with a 7, fulfilling two important work areas at a high level. Moreover, it is an excellent Pal for fire-related tasks, such as operating the smelter and in combat.

Also in the S-Tier is Panthalus. This is the second fastest flying mount in the game (only Jetdragon is faster) and, along with Dandilord and Shaolong, is among the best fighters. The best new ground mount is Ophydia. It is fast, one of the strongest attackers among the new Pals, and also a useful workforce for base tasks.

Mycora makes it into our S-Tier because it combines solid work suitability with an extremely useful aura: It increases the work suitability for medicine production of all other Pals in the base by one level.

A-Tier – A good choice for various situations

The stars in the A-Tier are Eidrolon/Eidrolon Ignis, Gildra, and Dualith/Dualith Noct, which may not compete with the S-Tier Pals, but are also good fighters and have relatively high suitability values in several areas. The two Eidrolon variants are also recommended flying mounts.

Joining the A-Tier is Starryon as a fast ground mount, as well as some good base workers. The A-Tier is concluded by Dupin, which is a good worker and has a useful partner ability that boosts you in combat when you have less than 50% health left.

These Pals were rated higher because they have a special feature

Within the tier list, there are some Pals who at first glance must be ranked 1-2 tiers lower. However, due to their work auras, we find them particularly useful rotation Pals for your base in the early to mid-game, and thus they were rewarded with slightly higher tiers. Which Pals they are and what distinguishes them is shown in the following overview:

PalAura / Partner ability
MycoraAura: Increases the suitability for medicine production of all other Pals in the base by one level.
DupiePartner ability: If Dupie is in your team and your health drops below 50%, it creates an explosion around you and increases your attack speed by 30%.
TetroiseAura: Increases the suitability for mining of all other Pals in the base by one level.
Smokie CrystAura: Increases the suitability for cooling of all other Pals in the base by one level.
PuffoltAura: Increases the suitability for power generation of all other Pals in the base by one level.
CloveeAura: Increases the suitability for sowing of all other Pals in the base by one level.
SekhmetSekhmet increases the work speed of Anubis by 20% and can also increase its efficiency when working at a workbench or similar.

If, for example, you have a lot of bred Anubis working in your base, it might make sense to send a Sekhmet to the assembly line as well.

Anubis itself may not be one of the absolute top Pals in the current meta, but it is still a solid addition to your team or base. If you don’t have an Anubis yet and want to recruit the hard-working creature, you can find out in this guide on MeinMMO how and where you can catch the Pal: Palworld: Finding and breeding Anubis
