The latest installments of the Call of Duty series have been known to take up quite a bit of storage space. Now there is new information about the latest installment Black Ops 6. It seems that the game will even be the biggest installment in the series, but this will come at the expense of your hard drive.
Update from June 11, 2024: Activision has now commented on the 300 GB and explained that you don’t need everything. Accordingly, the article has been updated with new information.
On the Xbox page for the game, there are also technical specifications for the game. The most interesting aspect is the size of the game. The approximate size of the game is given as 309.85 GB.
This is enormous, especially considering that the Xbox Series X has 1 TB without expansion and the original version of the Series S has only 512 GB of storage. One must keep in mind that you cannot use the full stated storage size. Even on the Xbox Series X, it will be difficult to have several AAA games installed.

A true monster for the hard drive
Why is Black Ops 6 so large? You no longer just download the current game with Call of Duty, but also Warzone. You have to do this if you want to play Modern Warfare 3, for example, at the moment. Additionally, you also download the launcher CPD HQ.
Now both Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone state on their Xbox Store page that you will likely need 309.85 GB. Within its update history, the game will only get larger over time.
On Steam, there is currently no information about the required storage space. For Modern Warfare 3, you need 149 GB, or only 78 GB if you have Warzone and CPD HQ already installed. So if you already have Warzone, the download for Black Ops 6 might be smaller. As Esports.gg reported back then, the PC version of Modern Warfare 3 was even larger than the console versions.
Status June 11, 2024: On X CoD has now commented on the matter and clarified that you do not have to download the full 309.85 GB. The size consists of MW 2, MW 3, Warzone, content packs, and voice outputs. In the tweet, they clarify that you do not have to download all of that. They also state that the correct download size will be displayed in the future.
Whether and when there will be a preload is still unknown. If you have poor internet, you should definitely plan enough time for downloading, because over 300 GB is quite a lot. What size the game will have on Steam will probably be announced in the coming weeks, but you can expect it to be enormous. If you own the Game Pass, you can even play the game for free: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be “free” for millions of players

The 24-year-old Elias “Upset” Lipp was long considered the best German player in League of Legends, until around 2023. During his time with Schalke, he was regarded as a great talent, and during his 2 years with Fnatic, he was statistically a giant. However, since 2023, his career seems to be in crisis. For 3 consecutive splits, Upset’s teams finished last in the LEC. This has now been criticized, but Upset does not accept the criticism.
Who is the best German player in LoL? That’s hard to say because the most successful pros in the LEC play three different positions:
The current best German player is likely Sergen “BrokenBlade” Çelik (24), the top laner for the strongest European team, G2.
For fans of Eintracht Spandau, PowerOfEvil is probably the big star:
Start video

What problem does Upset have? During a match between Upset’s team, Karmine Corp, and the MAD Lions, a comparison was drawn between Upset and the Spanish player Supa (23).
The caster Andrew “Vedius” Day (31) said:
Supa had already reached the finals in his first split.
While Upset finished 10th and thus last in the LEC for 3 consecutive times. He was referencing Upset’s poor phase at Team Vitality and the 10th place in the Spring Split 2024, where Karmine Corp also had a 2-7 record, finishing in 10th place.
Vedius’s statement could certainly be interpreted as him directly blaming Upset for his teams’ poor performances.
Currently, Karmine Corp is in 4th place with a 1-1 record in the still young LEC Summer Season 2024.
Upset is disturbed by the criticism: Context and nuances were missing
This bothers Upset: The German says he does not understand why casters spread such a negative narrative without providing important context or considering how it could affect the careers of players or coaches when they say these things:
“There are no nuances; you just put people down when they are having a bad moment.”
How is this being discussed? The caster apologizes and says sometimes he misses the mark when trying to be both funny and critical.
Upset accepts the apology and says it was important for him to make it clear that players are real people and should be viewed as such.

The new Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which is set to be released on October 25, 2024, is already causing an uproar in the community. The blame lies with the price, which is higher than ever before.
How expensive is the new Call of Duty? The new Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the most expensive CoD to date when looking at the standard editions. At €79.99 during pre-sale, players can already purchase the game and then play it on October 25, 2024.
Previously, the last titles in the CoD series always cost €69.99, a price that fans begrudgingly accepted upon its introduction a few years ago. For years, Call of Duty, like many other full-price titles, was available for €60 in stores.
For fans, the new price is reason enough to complain.
Here you can watch the trailer for Call of Duty Black Ops 6:

Fans are upset about the price but have a solution
How are the fans reacting? Call of Duty fans are outraged by the price increase. On Reddit, many users gather under a post by imjustanromanian titled “EXCUSE ME? €80!?” along with a screenshot of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on Steam.
Mpk_Paulin comments on Reddit: “I remember people were upset when the price rose to $70 two or three years ago. Expect games to cost $100 by the end of the decade.”
Arctimon seems to have already pinpointed the reason on Reddit: “The worst part is knowing that people will buy it because they never learn.”
Many other comments echo this sentiment, blaming buyers for the price increases. They presumably believe that the price hikes will not affect the number of copies sold.
Even if you only play Call of Duty with it, it would still be cheaper for about eight months. However, the Game Pass offers many hundreds of games that you also get for the price of €9.99 per month.
This is a good deal for users on Reddit, especially for players who are more interested in the campaign. Xboxben writes on Reddit: “Game Pass for $10, then finish the game and cancel.” SyberWolf also suggests on Reddit: “just buy one month of Game Pass.”
athiaxoff writes on Reddit: “Is it included in the Game Pass? I understand complaining about such prices, but that’s a bad example if they won’t sell anywhere near as many copies this time around.”
If you are into survival games, you will currently find a large selection of really strong titles on Steam. MeinMMO editor Benedict Grothaus has sampled one of the new games: Aloft, which does not want to adhere to survival rules at all. But the feeling of freedom that the game conveys convinced him nevertheless – that is why he presents it to you here as part of Find Your Next Game.
With cozy games, I can usually be hunted. Occasionally, I play something that I really like – like Sun Haven. But usually, I need action, loot, and leveling, and above all, dark and rough worlds. Post-apocalyptic games are exactly my thing.
Accordingly, I prefer the tough survival games. And recently, I discovered two really good gems:
Nonetheless, the first images have intrigued me. I wanted to know what this huge world is about and why so much open sky is visible. The game really surprised me.
Aloft is completely different from the survival games I know and otherwise play. There are still typical features as you know them from the genre, such as:
a “naked” start with nothing, first of all, stones and wood must be collected
crafting leads to the first workbench and archaic tools
new resources unlock new recipes and gradually enough comes together for a small base
After this point, however, the similarities with the genre largely end. Eating and drinking are not essential for survival but provide buffs, similar to Valheim and other modern survival games.
In Aloft, it is less about your own survival than about getting to know the world and saving it in a certain way. Because it revolves around exploring flying islands and discovering what our predecessors left behind there.
Even better than Enshrouded: I feel the freedom in the air
The biggest feature of Aloft is the movement, and it makes the game really grand. After just a few minutes, I get the first recipe for a glider stand, where I can build myself a glider, and from here on, it takes off.
With a few leaves on my back, I fly from island to island in the world. There are rune stones and frescoes that tell the story of the game and unlock new recipes. I often find new resources only elsewhere.
So fliegt ihr auf einem Gleiter aus Gras durch die Welt von Aloft
Gliding here is virtually endless – or at least up to the demo’s limits. And if that is not enough, you can simply convert one of the flying islands into your own airship. All you need is a steering wheel, a rudder, and sails, and you can control your own floating rock.
This is only possible with “small” islands, but even those are large enough to build your own little house and a farm on it, and maybe take a few animals along.
A detail that I particularly like: Buildings that are somewhere on deserted islands can be learned as a blueprint through a sketchbook. With a little paper, I can learn how to build planting boxes for plants myself.
However, Aloft is by no means a peaceful farming simulation. Many of the islands are infested with … something. The boulders are not friendly, green overgrown, but dark, black, and muddy.
When landing, there are mushrooms and strange plants with the info: If I want to do anything here, I have to destroy the “nodes” first. These are nasty giant mushrooms that contaminate the islands.
The battles take place, at least in the current state, quite linearly:
cutting a few pustules
dodging tentacles
attacking the “head” when it appears
then fighting adds – small mushroom people that hit back
repeating until all mushrooms are gone
With each victory, I learn new combat moves and can now jump on enemies, throw them in the air, and chop them up coolly while sliding. It is not an absolutely wild combat system, but it is a nice contrast to the otherwise peaceful exploration.
These strange towers are the enemy. These “hearts” must be destroyed.Nasty mushroom creatures attack!New skills!
Nice demo, but too lean
As much fun as Aloft has given me in the first hours, it currently lacks depth. Exploration is definitely the core theme of the game, and unfortunately, the demo sets quick limits here.
In the middle of the really huge map is an ugly-looking whirlpool that you cannot reach. There also seem to be other biomes, but I could not discover any of them. After a certain time, the game simply says: “You have reached the end of the demo.”
Currently, I do not know what the long-term motivation here is supposed to look like. If there is a certain story that simply ends at some point, like in Raft, that would already be enough.
I found this map – it shows a gigantic world. The whirlpool looks dangerous. What is there? The limits of the demo are not particularly subtle.
Flying through the skies with up to eight people in co-op sounds like enough fun and entertainment for many hours. But only if there is enough to discover – which is currently lacking. At least building and farming are already there, and that will please some of my acquaintances.
By the way, there is also the option to create your own islands or play in creative mode. So, if you are not as goal-oriented as I am, you will surely find more to do here.
I cannot give a proper conclusion yet. But anyone who generally likes big games with a lot of exploration and especially wants to fly should definitely keep an eye on Aloft. Just flying around has fascinated me from the very first moment. The game is set to enter early access on Steam in autumn 2024 and offers a free demo at the Steam Next Fest. If you are looking for something else until the release, you can find the best survival games for PC, PS5, and Xbox here.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is a new soulslike that will be released in July for PC, PS5, and Xbox Game Pass. Currently, a free demo is available on Steam. MeinMMO editor Benedict Grothaus had the opportunity to play it in advance and wants to introduce you to the game as part of Find Your Next Game, even though he has kissed the ground more often than he would like.
I like tough games. Whether in survival games, RPGs, or soulslikes: it can be dark, dirty, and even tiring. This makes every victory even sweeter.
The soulsborne games, namely Dark Souls and Bloodborne, as well as the soulslike genre they created, are just such games: brutally difficult, but with a reward feeling like no other.
A soulslike genre with a fantasy world and flintlock pistols, bringing a certain pirate and pioneer flair.
Equally crazy characters as in Dark Souls, with café owners who carry their faces in their hands.
Battles against awakened gods, because anything else would be too easy.
And finally, a small fox god who accompanies me and supports me with magic.
Back then, I could only watch. Now I finally had the opportunity to play Flintlock for the first time in a preview version. I don’t think I’ve ever pressed Alt+F4 so early in a game. And that was just the demo…
Start video
Flintlock: The trailer for the demo launch at Steam Next Fest introduces the Soulslike
A soulslike with pistols and … Gwent?
With Find Your Next Game, we want to show you games on GameStar, GamePro, and MeinMMO that you can invest your time in next. I think Flintlock can achieve just that, because I know for sure that many of you will totally celebrate Elden Ring.
To catch you up first: What is Flintlock actually? The story is quite quickly explained. You play as Nor, a pioneer in the war against an army of the undead and accidentally ensure that imprisoned gods are set free.
Now you clean up again, avenge fallen friends, go kill gods, and in the meantime, save the world from destruction. At its core, the game is a soulslike game with all the features that come with it:
“Souls” that are called glory here and used for leveling, purchasing, and crafting – and which are, of course, lost upon death.
Action gameplay focusing on combat and features like combos, dodging, and parrying.
“Bonfires,” or resting places that must be unlocked, where you can rest and reset the world.
Loads of regular enemies that can already become dangerous and, of course, enormous boss fights.
What differentiates Flintlock from the genre are its peculiarities. Despite the rather sinister story and all the undead everywhere, the game is not particularly “dark.” The sun shines, there are many normal humans, and even some laughing people.
The bosses look quite dangerous.Even cute companions can be fierce.Liberated villages have something idyllic about them. Some characters are really out there.Schmocobos!Companion Enki is quite cute.Every second person wants to play Sebo…
The main difference lies in the weapons and skills. You start with an axe and a flintlock pistol, later getting other variants and at least one musket (which corresponds to the bow in souls). The weapons are important because you use them to execute combos, interrupt enemies, or take out targets with headshots to control the flow of combat.
Instead of building a build through attributes like in souls, you learn new abilities with the “souls.” Thus, your companion can choose more spells, you can suddenly hit while dodging, or charge shots. This aligns with your playstyle.
Additionally, there is – for some reason – a minigame that almost every NPC wants to play with you: Sebo, a variant of mills. It resembles Gwent in Witcher 3, which I found annoying back then, but it offers easily earned glory. When there’s nothing else to do in a lost world…
Instead of stats, there are skills.Enki learns new spells.Equip is also available.Even upgrades are possible!Sebo is… practically Gwent. And everyone wants to play it.
Even ordinary mobs deal heavy blows
What captivates me about Flintlock is the gameplay. Like in any good soulslike, it’s all about timing and skill – and knowing the enemy. I have to study movements and learn when to counter with which move.
However, in Flintlock, almost every enemy has attacks that cannot be parried and have enormous range. This is not a problem in itself, as a quick pistol shot can interrupt them. Only that:
Gunpowder is limited and replenished through melee combat.
The pistol fires quite slowly; the animation takes forever.
An ongoing action, like an attack, is not interrupted.
I don’t know how often it’s happened that I’ve died to some random mob, certainly more than 20 times. My colleague Christoph Waldboth only failed against bosses in Elden Ring, but in Flintlock, even some random bandits beat me up.
Is it frustrating? Yes, absolutely. Am I giving up because of it? No, definitely not! Those bastards stole my souls, my glory, and I want them back!
Twice, I lost 5,000 glory (a proud sum for the demo) due to sheer silly mistakes. The worst: after a really close fight against the bandit chief, my Nor jumped toward an explosive barrel when she shot at it.
I don’t know why she did that, but she blew herself up, costing me my entire fortune. That was my first rage quit after less than 2 hours after an otherwise great run:
Start video
I am losing a fight against a barrel in Flintlock and losing a fortune
The point I was at is already the end of the demo. I found myself in a “stronghold,” which are villages and places you can liberate to unlock new merchants, NPCs, and quests. So much more RPG than in souls.
After about 4 hours, I managed to take this stronghold, during which I spent more than 2 hours just for that one location and its end boss – who, by the way, is just a miniboss, not a real story boss. Thanks for that.
You can now play the demo for free on Steam as part of the Steam Next Fest. The full release will be on July 18 for PC, Xbox, and PS5. It will be available on Game Pass starting Day 1.
I will use the demo further to check out a bit more of the world, because just like in Dark Souls, there are tons of side quests, collectibles, and hidden items to find.
I will probably die multiple times, I will probably curse the game multiple times, and I will probably start it again the next day to continue. The crux of soulslikes. Perhaps Flintlock will even drive me far enough to go back to the gym: Lies of P made me so mad that I quit in anger and drove to the gym at night

Yesterday, on June 9, 2024, a new trailer for Dragon Age: The Veilguard was released, focusing on the new companions of the role-playing game. MyMMO author has been waiting a long time for new information, but what she got was disillusioning.
EA and Bioware delivered a new trailer for Dragon Age: Veilguard and introduced the new companions. Just as the official name was quickly changed from “Dreadwolf” to “Veilguard” recently, I became even more skeptical than I already was.
Unfortunately, the trailer did not restore much hope for me. Although at least two characters made me very happy:
Start video
Dragon Age: The Veilguard introduces your companions in the trailer
My love for Dragon Age and its characters developed several years ago. Even if my journey with the franchise is probably a bit unconventional. I started with Dragon Age: Inquisition after a friend had talked a lot about it. Afterwards, I played the third part of the series multiple times and love it to this day.
I eventually got around to playing the second part and find it just as awesome as Inquisition. So it’s clear that I was very excited when the news came that Dragon Age 4 was in the works. However, since then, Bioware has often managed to bring me down from that excitement in a rather bumpy way.
What I like about the trailer: I don’t want to just complain about the new trailer, which is why I start with what at least initially made me happy. The return of two favorite characters. Varric Tethras and Scout Harding make their appearance right at the beginning of the trailer.
Varric has actually aged quite a bit with his gray hair, and I wondered how much time might have passed. I hope Varric hasn’t lost his amazing personality with age. In the trailer, I haven’t seen much of it, but it’s just a trailer, so let’s wait and see.
My only thought when I saw Harding was: “Finally!” Because I was really hoping that the tough dwarf would play a bigger role. Seeing her in the trailer initially heightened my enthusiasm, but unfortunately, it didn’t last long.
Atmosphere reminiscent of Fortnite or Overwatch
New companions were gradually introduced while Varric and Harding discussed which members they would need for their mission. Among them were an elemental mage, a necromancer, a Qunari, a mage-hunter, and a Veil-jumper.
Leaving aside the fact that so far no character has really appealed to me and I thought, that one looks interesting or particularly cool, at some point, the graphic style especially caught my eye.
And here comes the point that bothers me the most. Because there is still not enough information about the story, the characters, or the humor of the game for me to form a judgment. I’m being honest and I don’t have much hope here either, but I want to keep a little bit of it.
However, if the graphic style of this cinematic trailer is what we will also get in the game, then it simply doesn’t match Dragon Age for me and actually takes away a large part of my anticipation for the game. The characters look more like they’ve stumbled over from Overwatch or Fortnite and been put into Dragon Age’s clothing.
Since this is “only” a pre-rendered trailer, it does not represent the entire game. A hope that fans might still have.
In general, I think this cartoon style from the trailer does not fit at all with the world of Dragon Age. A look at the comments (via YouTube) showed me that I’m not alone in this opinion. “My old friend, what have they done to you…”, expresses a user his sorrow. And many are wondering why they chose this “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Suicide Squad” style now.
“Solas was right, it is too painful to live in a world like this,” writes another user in his comment and receives a lot of agreement for it. A fan replies in his comment, stating he remembers all trailers since Origins and has always been excited like a little child, but now he must cry like a little child.
Among the comments, you can find tons of such reactions, and I can’t blame them. At the moment, it simply doesn’t look like the franchise that many fans love so much. Tomorrow, on June 11, 2024, the first gameplay is supposed to be shown. Let’s wait and see what that brings us. A former developer from Bioware has a special opinion on the gaming industry: The mind behind some of the best role-playing games says: “Maybe the gaming industry deserves to die”

With the PSVR2 headset, you can play all games from Steam or other platforms, as long as the headset or game is supported by the platform.
Is PSVR2 worth it for me? Are you considering buying the new VR system for your PS5? Then take a look at the following overview, where we explain the pros and cons of the new system and for whom it might ultimately be worthwhile:
While many are waiting for GTA VI, a new game will be released this summer on Steam and PS5, which puts you on the other side of the law.
What kind of game is it? The Precinct is a mix of GTA and police simulation, where you take on the role of a new law enforcer. In the fictional city of Avernus in the United States during the 1980s, you are tasked with maintaining law and order.
The city is already plagued by criminals like gangs, vagrants, and thugs, who instill fear and terror among the population. From parking tickets to chases, shootings, and robberies, The Precinct offers crimes of all kinds for you to solve. There will also be procedurally generated crimes for you.
There is no shortage of vehicles in the game. Not only can you drive cars, but helicopters can also be piloted. You won’t have to wait long for the good side’s version of GTA, as the game already has a release date.
Here you can watch the trailer for The Precinct:

The Precinct shows in the release trailer what it would be like to be a cop in GTA
Criminals will be taken down this summer
When is The Precinct set to be released? The Precinct made a surprise appearance at the Future Game Show and announced its release date there. On August 15, The Precinct will launch for PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on XBOX Series X|S and PS5. It has been known for a few months that The Precinct is set to release in 2024.
So in August, it will be possible to dive into the nostalgic atmosphere of the game and shorten the wait for GTA VI a bit.
Is it just about crime fighting? The backstory of our character actually plays a crucial role in the game. As 3DJuegos reports, appearances can be deceiving, and it is not just about taking down some criminals. Our character probably ended up in the police for a special reason.
He aims to solve the murder of his own father, and what better way to do that than to become a police officer himself. Whether and how that works out remains open. If you want to shorten the wait for GTA VI and The Precinct, we have a tip for you that you can play right now: A game series on Steam is ideal to shorten the wait for GTA 6

On Steam, there is a free demo of a new MMO that could especially excite fans of fast cars and racing games. Everything you need to know about it can be found here.
What game is this about? Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is the upcoming MMO on Steam, which should especially satisfy racing game fans. The game has been in development at KT Racing since 2016. On September 12, 2024, the game is now set to officially release on Steam, PS5, and Xbox under Nacon.

The new racing game MMO will be released in September 2024
What can you expect? The franchise behind Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown has been providing you with various racing games since 1987, and since then, Test Drive has continually evolved. The latest version is no exception and aims to continue the series with a huge game world.
You are promised 84 square kilometers of an open world here. In comparison, Red Dead Redemption 2 offers “only” 75 square kilometers and GTA 5 81 square kilometers if we exclude the water surfaces. This should give you a rough idea of how large the world of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will be.
The game is described by official sources as an open-world racing game with great attention to detail, innovative gameplay elements, and a ton of cars from 30 well-known manufacturers like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, and Aston Martin. There will be many models waiting for you, ranging from everyday cars from the 1960s to very modern cars.
The huge demo with plenty of content only this week
What does the demo offer? The free demo that you can currently download on Steam promises to give you a detailed look at the MMO right now. The demo will be available until June 17, 2024. Until then, you are not time-restricted. You can test the game for as long as you like.
The demo also offers plenty of content for you to try out. Out of a total of 14 areas on Hong Kong Island, you will be able to explore nine freely. A total of 16 cars will be available, which you can acquire from seven different car dealers. With these, you can complete 27 races and 25 missions, and overall, the demo will provide you with 18 upgrades for your cars.

Xur is a staple of the community in Destiny 1 and 2. He provides guardians with exotic goods from distant systems and supplies them with cryptic messages. Unfortunately, he is increasingly being ignored by long-time players. What Bungie has changed to make him more worthwhile, you can find out here.
What was the problem with Xur? The black market trader of the Nine supplied guardians in Destiny 1 with rare exotics that had fantastic stats. In Destiny 2, however, that was not the case. Xur was mainly used to obtain missing exotics for the collection. Armor with good stats? Not a chance.
Every now and then Xur would deliver some legendary God Rolls or armor from past seasons, but these were not enough to entice guardians to visit him. Bungie was aware of this and therefore announced a major overhaul for the tentacle-faced vendor. On June 7, 2024, it was finally time, as guardians can now interact with the new range of the vendor, but how good is it?

His inventory has also changed. Xur now offers not only exotic weapons and armor but also catalysts, which rotate after each visit. Legendary weapons and armor are still included as usual.
A major new feature is his reputation rank system, which resembles that of the cryptarch. You earn reputation points when you spend Strange Coins at Xur. This allows you to obtain weapons, armor pieces, and powerful upgrades.
This is what his inventory looks like now
However, the most interesting change is something that could not be officially discovered yet. Through the tracking site light.gg, we got a brief overview of what Xur had to offer, and we were astonished. According to the data, the black market trader will even offer Artistic Armor – armor with guaranteed strong stats.
Whether the armors will be offered for sale randomly at some point is still unknown, but for this reason alone, the vendor could become worthwhile, especially for long-time players looking to complete their builds.
Is Xur worth it now? That depends on what you need. If you have no desire to farm catalysts, you can check in with Xur weekly to complete your collection. If the Artistic Armors are ever included in the inventory, long-time players will surely visit the tentacle-faced vendor.
Note that you need Strange Coins to purchase items from Xur. You receive them randomly from core activities like Strikes, Gambit, or the Crucible.
Filming horror movies can, in some cases, be quite emotionally challenging for actors and can linger after work. This was also the case for the lead actress from 50 Shades of Grey, who participated in the remake of a classic horror film.
Which actress is it? Many of you probably know Dakota Johnson from 50 Shades of Grey and the subsequent parts. Those who have ignored the series so far and are interested in superheroes might have seen Johnson in Madame Web. The Marvel film from this year received poor reviews and has a rating of only 11% on Rotten Tomatoes.
However, Dakota Johnson has made several other noteworthy films. For example, the remake of an Italian horror film that is long considered a classic and cult film. And as is often the case with horror films, working on it can have lasting effects.

Creepy atmosphere in the trailer for ‘Suspiria’ (2018)
The lead role in the remake of a genre classic
Which film is it?Suspiria from 2018 is the loose remake of an Italian horror film of the same name from 1977. The original was created by Dario Argento, arguably the most important representative of Italian “Giallo” cinema, a subgenre of thrillers that is very close to horror films due to its brutal murder scenes.
The remake of Suspiria was directed by Luca Guadagnino (Call me by your name, Challengers). In it, Dakota Johnson plays an aspiring dancer named Susie, who wants to join a dance school in Berlin. She quickly celebrates her first small successes and becomes an important figure within the school. However, as is typical with horror films, appearances can be deceiving, and the dark sides of the story soon emerge.
The film is, among other things, not for every viewer due to the strong emotions of the main character, as well as the horror elements. Making such a film can also be challenging for the actors in front of the camera.
How did Dakota Johnson experience the filming? The work itself was a lot of fun, the actress says today. On set, it was very funny, even cheerful.
However, she absorbed a lot of emotions through her role and was unable to shake them off after filming without help:
When I work on a project, I sometimes realize that I – I don’t feel ashamed of it – am a very permeable person and absorb many feelings from people. When you sometimes work on dark things, it can stick with you, and then talking to someone who is really nice is a really good way to move on. My therapist is a really nice woman.
Johnson was not traumatized after filming, yet she sought professional help in the form of therapy to process the strong emotions.
Suspiria, by the way, received mixed reviews from critics. The film holds a critic rating of 65% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Whether you prefer the remake or the much more comic-like original is probably a matter of taste. Both are presented in their own way eerie and very atmospheric. Have you seen either of the films, or even both? Which do you prefer? Let us know in the comments! The new raid from Destiny 2: The Final Shape showed the Guardians that the conclusion of a saga must be earned. Team Parabellum was the first to secure the ‘World First’, but how did they perceive the new raid? One of them shares his experience.
What kind of raid was it? This is the last raid focusing on the “Light and Darkness” saga: The Edge of Salvation. In this raid, players had to stop the Witness after the campaign of “The Final Shape” before he could execute the final form.
Parabellum is a relatively unknown team, as they did not stream their raid run like other players from Destiny 2 – thus, no one could watch them defeat the Witness live. They only published their run on YouTube later (via youtube.com).
Despite this, Tyraxe revealed insights about how he felt on Day One. In his opinion, this is the greatest raid in the history of Destiny. In an interview with evanf1997 on YouTube, the world champion spoke about his experiences (via youtube.com).
What does he say about the raid? According to Tyraxe, they initially had difficulties with the first phase of the raid. However, once they had the hang of it, they sprinted from one encounter to the next until they faced the Witness.
According to him, the difficulty was not in damage but in survival: “Many damage opportunities with very small radius, then dodging attacks that kill you instantly. We almost defeated the boss in two phases, but we played more with our lives than focusing on damage.”
How difficult was the raid? When looking at comparisons to previous raid clears and their completion times, it’s clear that “Edge of Salvation” is the toughest raid in Destiny 2 so far.
The mix of fast add-clear, puzzles, and holding effects is challenging. Additionally, Guardians must constantly stay in motion if they want to deal damage to bosses. In most raids, damage is dealt stationary, which is why the Witness could keep many Guardians occupied for several hours.
Xbox head Phil Spencer addressed the recent studio closures and layoffs for the first time during the Summer Game Fest, explaining why this step was necessary.
Especially the end of Tango and Arkane Austin was met with disbelief by many outsiders.
The studio founded in 2010 by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami was known for unique gaming experiences like Ghostwire: Tokyo and the two “The Evil Within” parts, and it even released exactly the type of hit Microsoft wants to see more of in the future with Hi-Fi Rush in early 2023 (via The Verge).
While Arkane Austin did release a unfinished, disappointing co-op shooter with Redfall in 2023, the acclaimed Prey was previously developed in Austin. Some of the studio’s experienced developers, such as Harvey Smith, had previously worked on milestones like System Shock, Deus Ex, or Dishonored.
Microsoft is now losing this immense experience from both studios, even though they had previously made massive billion-dollar investments to significantly strengthen their first-party front.
What does the Xbox head say about these measures? In an interview with IGN Live, which took place around the Summer Game Fest, Phil Spencer explained the studio closures and layoffs:
“Ultimately, I have always said that I need to run a sustainably profitable business within the company that grows, and that means I sometimes have to make tough decisions that frankly aren’t my favorite decisions, but they are decisions that someone has to make.
We will continue to move forward. We will continue to invest in what we are doing with Xbox and build the best business we can that ensures we can continue to host shows like the one we just did.”
The online shooter Redfall was a significant setback for Arkane Austin and Bethesda.

What about Team Xbox after the acquisitions? In January 2024, there were significant layoffs at Microsoft, which also severely affected the gaming sector of the company. At the same time, the acquisition of Activision Blizzard King is already having a distinctly positive effect on Microsoft’s financial reports.
According to the report for the second quarter of 2024 (via Microsoft) Team Xbox was able to increase its revenue by 61 percent compared to the second quarter of the previous year.
The report for the third quarter of 2024 showed a 51 percent increase in revenue compared to the previous quarter (via Microsoft).
To ensure the numbers continue to rise in the future, Xbox needs strong first-party productions that motivate players to sign up for the Xbox Game Pass and/or purchase an Xbox console and achieve high sales figures.
The highlights from the incredibly strong Xbox Showcase at the Summer Game Fest alone show that Microsoft is extremely well positioned for the coming quarters:
Gameplay was shown for South of Midnight and Fable, both scheduled for 2025
There were finally signs of life for State of Decay 3 and Perfect Dark
A new installment for the popular action series was announced with Gears of War: E-Day
No updates were given on the first-party productions Clockwork Revolution, Project Mara from Ninja Theory, The Outer Worlds 2 from Obsidian, Marvel’s Blade from Arkane Lyon, Everwild from Rare, and the current project from Double Fine.
Moreover, there are developers who are partners with Xbox and will bring their games to the Game Pass starting from the release date. For example, think of the Civilization competitor from Oxide Games, Ara: History Untold, which is expected to be released later this year. How do you rate the line-up from Team Xbox? Escape from Tarkov has shown a new trailer at the PC Gaming Show. The trailer features 2 things that some might have thought would never come.
Update June 11, 2024: We have adjusted the reasoning for why the map Terminal might feature Escape from Tarkov.
What kind of trailer is this? At the PC Gaming Show, the developers of Escape from Tarkov showed a trailer titled On the Edge of Darkness. The trailer is accompanied by a narrator and gives an indication right from the start that the story being told in the game is slowly getting a beginning and an end.
The trailer features various combat scenes while the narrator explains the state of affairs in Russian. We last played Escape from Tarkov: Arena, the EFT spin-off, but a lot has happened in Tarkov since then.
The conflict in Tarkov would flare up again, and one wouldn’t know how it would all end. It appears that the narrator of the trailer is the character Prapor, but that’s not all, as there were two details to discover in the trailer.
Here you can see the new trailer:

Escape from Tarkov teases in the trailer ‘On the Edge of Darkness’ the new map Terminal
For a brief moment, two long-awaited things can be seen
What can be seen? In the trailer, a map showing all play areas of Escape from Tarkov is displayed. What’s interesting is the representation. The locations appear one by one and are connected by a kind of path, as if one had to walk them.
This could be an indication of the long-awaited feature of a cohesive game world, where you can move from one zone to another or even have a complete open world in front of you.
Accordingly, one would have to walk the following route:
What about Terminal? Not only was Terminal displayed on the map, but there was also the symbol of a lock next to it, which opens as if one is unlocking the map. So it might be that Escape from Tarkov will soon receive the new map.
The name may be somewhat misleading, as according to information from the EFT fandom, it is not an airport area, but rather a “large part of the port area.” The trailer ends with the words “And who knows? Maybe you are the one who finds a way to escape Tarkov,” which fits the theories that one may indeed be able to escape Tarkov there.
In the video, the two contents that fans have been waiting for years are just scratched; there was no real gameplay or more information seen regarding the contents. It remains to be seen whether the new map will be visible in the next update. Escape from Tarkov: Celebrated shooter makes a bad situation even worse

Players of Elden Ring are constantly coming forward with new tricks and tactics. However, a Reddit user is facing ridicule for a video in which he showcases the battle against the hardest boss in the game.
Which boss are we talking about? Anyone who has played Elden Ring knows who is being referred to. Just the name of the opponent is likely to give some players goosebumps. Malenia.
Yes, this boss is quite formidable and causes players in the endgame of Elden Ring to desperately bite their gamepads. Until recently, there was even a YouTuber named “Let me solo her” who helped others defeat Malenia solo – but even he has had enough of it now.
At least the boss is optional and thus not necessary to complete the game. But anyone who skips her misses one of the coolest and also most challenging fights in Elden Ring.
Since the release, players have been trying various tactics to bring the agile fighter to her knees. A Reddit user apparently found a strong method – but the video of the fight is mainly met with amusement from the community.
There will also be tough bosses in the upcoming DLC of Elden Ring – On MeinMMO, you can already find a preview report on the large expansion. Here you can see the trailer:

Elden Ring shows the DLC ‘Shadow of the Erdtree’ in the story trailer
Malenia has no chance against spam – or does she?
What does the tactic look like? Well, tactic is a broad term and it can be debated whether the player’s approach falls more into the category of “blindly hitting”.
Because the Reddit user dspencil shows in a short clip how he completes the first phase of the boss fight in just 20 seconds. For this, he uses the weapon “Gleive of the Dark Cavalry”, a halberd, along with the war ash “Spinning Attack” and the incantation “Bloodflame Blade”, which enchants the weapon.
With that, the player faces Malenia and simply spams the spinning attack. While this does consume some stamina and FP, since the boss appears in the endgame, the character has plenty of it skilled.

Malenia doesn’t even get a chance to react to the attacks and gradually loses her health bar. Before you know it, she is at 0 and the first phase is over.
However, the video itself – which is the reason for the ridicule from other players.
How does the community react? Many comments under the Reddit post note that the player had a lot of luck with his approach. Because Malenia didn’t attempt to unleash any of her hard-to-dodge attacks.
Furthermore, the video and thus the successful tactic ends after phase 1. Anyone who has fought Malenia knows: The actually difficult part follows only in phase 2. When the boss not only flies but also uses extremely deadly explosions full of scarlet rot against the player.
Just standing in front of Malenia and spamming the same attack over and over would not work in phase 2. Users on Reddit say the following about it:
“She got up and defeated you in the second phase, didn’t she?”, writes Rotussy Enjoyer.
“Can’t dodge the first rot explosion. Dies instantly,” predicts Freshest-Raspberry the further course of the fight.
The user nikerock criticizes that it is even possible to get through phase 1 in this way: “Why would Miyazaki make a boss this easy? Is he stupid?”
Whether and how the original poster of the video ultimately managed to defeat Malenia remains open. What is clear is that the community remains critical of such tactics and does not easily get excited. Ultimately, however, all play styles are fine, as long as it is fun. Another player showed a trick to easily get through annoying jumping sections.

In Pokémon GO the next Spotlight Hour is coming up. This time, Wingull will be the star of the event.
What kind of event is this? The Spotlight Hour is an event that takes place every Tuesday. During this hour, a Pokémon is in focus, appearing in very high numbers for 60 minutes.
Additionally, there is always a bonus active during this time.
In the next Spotlight Hour on June 11, 2024, Wingull will be in the spotlight. This Pokémon comes from the 3rd generation of the game and has the types Water and Flying. It can evolve into Pelipper.

Heavenly teamwork in Pokémon GO – a new season begins
Spotlight Hour on June 11 – Start and Bonuses
When does the Spotlight Hour start? As usual, the Spotlight Hour begins at 6:00 PM. After exactly 60 minutes, at 7:00 PM, it will be over again.
What bonuses are active? For this Spotlight Hour, there is a candy bonus when you send Pokémon to the Professor. You will receive 2 candies for the respective Pokémon instead of just 1 candy.
Can you catch Shiny Wingull? Yes, you can also encounter Shiny Wingull. The chance of a Shiny Pokémon appearing is not increased. However, due to the high number of Wingull spawns, you might still be able to get a Shiny specimen with a bit of luck.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it? If you’re hoping to use Wingull and its evolution Pelipper in raids, you’ll be disappointed. Both Pokémon are not particularly strong and cannot be found in the list of the best attackers in Pokémon GO.
However, in the battle leagues, it’s a different story. Pelipper is a very strong Pokémon in both the Great League and the Ultra League and performs well in both leagues. For this, you should focus on the move combination of Wing Attack, Weather Ball, and Hurricane.
The bonus in the event is also very good if your Pokémon box is well filled and you need to clean up. This goes particularly quickly if you have marked the corresponding Pokémon with a tag beforehand.
What do you think about the Spotlight Hour? Do you like the event? And what do you think about Wingull and the sending bonus? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments and exchange ideas here with other trainers. If you want to know which events are still coming up in June 2024 in Pokémon GO, you will also find information on that with us.

In League of Legends, a situation involving the Korean top team, the world champions T1, is escalating further. Due to ongoing DDOS attacks, the elite LoL team is now forced to suspend its streams. This results in a lack of money. Their sporting success is also at risk. The tone towards Riot Games is becoming harsher and sounds somewhat desperate.
What is the problem?
The popular and highly-paid players of T1 have been suffering from DDOS attacks for months, specifically targeting T1 players and their matches, sabotaging the world champions.
In the past, this has already led to players like Faker being unable to participate in training matches, the scrims, and they constantly had to change their accounts to be able to play and train at all.
In April 2024, T1 already complained that DDOS attacks had led to a defeat in the South Korean playoffs. Now the problem has likely escalated completely.

T1 suspends streams, complains about loss of revenue
What T1 demands: On June 8, T1 announced that they had to stop streaming. This would result in the loss of crucial revenue sources for the team. According to T1, playing their pros in SoloQ in South Korea is important for them to reach and maintain their top performance level.
T1 urged Riot Games to “fulfill their duties and stop the attacks (via Twitter)”
Although Riot Korea and Riot Games have been working on a solution for a long time and also collaborating with providers, they have been unable to solve the problem in the long term.
T1 emphasizes: The problem cannot be solved by the LCK and fans should not put pressure on Riot Korea or Riot Games. They only want to inform the fans about the situation.
How is Riot reacting? Andre “Riot Meddler” van Root commented on T1’s cry for help in a Twitter post, saying that they have been closely collaborating with T1 since the beginning of 2024 to resolve the issue. However, they do not want to provide too much insight into their work to avoid giving attackers more information than necessary.
They emphasize, however, that it is the “top priority for Riot Games”.
How is this being discussed? The impact of these DDOS attacks does not only affect T1, but also all players who are matched against T1 pros. One person says it’s like “Russian Roulette” whether you have a T1 player in the match or not.
But many fans are also specifically worried about their idols: It is simply very unfair for T1; they cannot train properly for events like the Worlds.
The legendary audio play “Allimania” for World of Warcraft has been relaunched. You can listen to the first episode and decide: Is it as good as the original?
For many WoW fans from the German-speaking world, a little piece of nostalgia has been revived. The now quite old audio play “Allimania” is getting a reboot. Allimania Reloaded is not a completely new story or a spin-off, but rather a retelling of the original story – with small changes and in modern style. The first episode was released last weekend.
Meanwhile, WoW has given the release of the new expansion a date:
Start video
WoW: Trailer for the release date of The War Within
What is Allimania? Allimania is likely still a name for the older veterans of WoW. The audio play was created back then alongside the “WoW Night”. It tells the story of the somewhat simple warrior Horst, who experiences the most absurd adventures in World of Warcraft with his guild “Allimania” – from couple therapy between Arthas and Illidan to the national anthem of the gnomes, a lot has happened.
Even though the original story has aged a bit, many fans still remember it well and often name their characters after the protagonists. If you encounter a “Horst”, “Dimitri”, “Raul” or a “Uschi” in the game, the reason is probably Allimania.
What kind of reboot is this? With the reboot, Steve “Stevinho” Krömer wants to retell the story. A bit more modern tailored to the current game and with somewhat less toilet humor, which was particularly strong in the early parts of the original and simply hasn’t aged well.
You can listen to the first episode of the reboot here on YouTube:

How does the community react: Despite many concerns beforehand, the first episode has been well received by fans. Currently, there are only 34 thumbs down compared to 915 thumbs up – which corresponds to about 95% positive feedback (as of June 10, 2024, 1:00 PM).
In the comments, people say:
“I think the mix of nostalgia and the contemporary adaptations is very well done.” – Lodge86
“I found the start very nice. The quality is phenomenal. I don’t have much to do with WoW anymore, but it brought back beautiful memories. Thank you, Steve, great job.” – unclemac8088
“It feels a bit weird with the new voices, but you can tell that it is intended to get as close to the original as possible. :)” – migarlp28
Stevinho himself seems very happy with the positive feedback and writes:
Amazing feedback after the release of the first part of [Allimania Reloaded]. It’s absolutely crazy what’s going on right now. You have no idea how much this means to me and how happy this makes me. This is exactly what I needed. Thank you for everything, you wonderful Allimaniacs!
Cortyn says: In the first few minutes, I was quite skeptical, but I believe that the new Allimania variant is quite good – at least the first episode. It will certainly take some time to get used to the new speakers, but they are doing more than solid work. It still has the charm of the original version and feels fresh. It fits well into the new age of World of Warcraft: The War Within.
One can only hope that the other parts will keep up.

Insult or misunderstanding?
What happened? After a match in the Pokémon Trading Card Game between player Andrea Zorat and his opponent ended in a draw, Zorat accused the player of having forced the draw, among other things, by playing slowly.
He allegedly told the player in front of one of the judges and other players: You get what you deserve, loser. This was reported by a teammate of the player on X.com.
Judges mediate the situation, but do not punish the player
Subsequently, the judge took the two to a safe area and attended to the player to ensure she was feeling better. A higher-ranking judge was called in, and the situation was discussed for a long time. Additionally, the player was given iced tea and water.
Afterward, the player was able to start the next round, 15 minutes late. After the round, the higher-ranking judge approached the player again and informed her that Zorat would not receive a penalty but would be monitored by security until the end of the tournament.
Player believes he comes across as aggressive because of his Italian accent
The judges spoke with Zorat, who expressed remorse and conveyed his regret. He also justified his behavior by stating that he is Italian and has an aggressive accent.
However, the player does not find this sufficient. She stated: It’s crazy to get away with such a disgraceful outburst without punishment.
Even the teammate of the player who reported on the case finds this inadequate: I hope this is quickly addressed with an immediate ban from the competition.
What does Zorat say about this? Zorat himself also commented on the incident afterward. He stated that it was never his intention to hurt the player. Furthermore, he indicated that the insult attributed to him is not accurately represented.
Zorat expressed himself on X.com as follows: [I] only said that [she] deserves to lose the game. Additionally, after the judges told him how much his behavior had hurt the player, he wanted to apologize directly, but the player did not want that.
World of Warcraft finally on Xbox. At least that is the dream that the team from World of Warcraft has and which is talked about “every day.”
With its 20 years, World of Warcraft is one of the longest-running and most popular MMORPGs of all time. Yet where other games have already taken the plunge, WoW is still hesitant: the release on consoles.
Many interviews with key developers around World of Warcraft have been published time and again. The topic of a console version has also come up. It is something that the team discusses repeatedly.
Start video
WoW: The War Within – All the major features of the new expansion
What was said? GamesRadar had the opportunity to speak with Holly Longdale (Executive Producer and Vice President of World of Warcraft) and ask about a console version – specifically about an Xbox variant. She said:
The dream remains. We are so focused on delivering what our players deserve with the expansions. To be honest, there is currently no room for that conversation. But you know, the dream is real.
When asked about technical difficulties and whether they could be an obstacle, she continued:
That probably depends on who you ask. I honestly believe that they do not exist. I think we are in a pretty good position, which is why we are talking about it.
Somewhat suspicious is Holly Longdale’s statement in the conversation with Eurogamer. In response to the question, she said: “I want to say that nothing is impossible. But I can’t say more than that.”
She is said to have laughed at this and wanted to add something – but then quickly corrected herself and repeated: “No, that is all I will say about that.”
This at least leaves room for benevolent interpretation.
Can you play WoW with a gamepad? One of the biggest questions is whether you could even play a game with so many abilities and menus on a console. After all, it must be difficult to select the more than 30 different abilities of each class in the heat of battle with a gamepad while also avoiding boss mechanics.
In fact, this question is no longer relevant. Since “Shadowlands,” World of Warcraft already has integrated controller support. While this is primarily a way to expand the accessibility of the game – for players who cannot use a keyboard and mouse – it shows: WoW with a gamepad is possible, and some even raid very successfully with it.
From a gaming perspective, there is therefore no hurdle.
When can we expect it? For the foreseeable future, one should probably not expect a port of World of Warcraft to consoles – in any case, 2024 will probably be off the table. However, if you are already opening a new chapter with the World Soul saga, that would probably also be the perfect time to finally take the plunge.
That the developers are still talking about this topic is a good thing. It is probably only a matter of time before the final decision is made to bring WoW finally to consoles – or at least to Xbox. After all, you now have Microsoft behind you, and the likelihood of a WoW port to Xbox is greater than ever before.
Would you want to play WoW on consoles? Or does it remain a pure PC game for you?
