If Vin Diesel is not dodging explosions and racing fast cars, then he is beating people up – at least in the arena of World of Warcraft.

You would think that superstars have very little time during a promotional tour for their new movies to relax and dive into video games. But this does not apply when your name is Vin Diesel and you are an avid player of World of Warcraft.

Currently, Vin Diesel (Fast and the Furious, Riddick) is on a tour through China to promote his new film “xXx 3: The Return of Xander Cage”. However, he does not hesitate to play a few extended rounds of World of Warcraft with his brother to give all potential opponents a hard time in the arena.

How do we know this? He shares it himself on Facebook. In a short video, where Diesel admittedly does not seem completely awake, he reveals what his evening plans look like. And they include plenty of honor points.

However, we do not find out his character name and faction – which is probably for the best, as otherwise Vin Diesel would hardly have any peace in the game.

Vin Diesel is generally considered a passionate gamer who openly embraces this hobby and always finds time to dive into digital parallel universes for a few hours.

New content is coming to WoW soon – including the hauntingly beautiful raid “The Tomb of Sargeras”.

The first images from the Tomb of Sargeras, the raid from Patch 7.2 of World of Warcraft reveal: It will be a stylish raid!

The Patch 7.2 for World of Warcraft is called “The Tomb of Sargeras” and introduces the raid of the same name. While the first boss fights can already be tested on the PTR, the team from wowhead has taken the time to create a lot of screenshots of the zone.

Although the “Tomb of Sargeras” has a rather demon-infested name, one must not forget that the original purpose of the building was to be the heart of an elven civilization. To be precise, the tomb was even connected to Suramar by a bridge and is thus structurally similar – albeit without influences from the nightborne, but rather from the night elves as they lived over 10,000 years ago.

At the beginning, there are particularly beautiful stained glass windows showing elves using the Pillars of Creation.

Deeper in the raid, you can find the “Abyssal Throne”, where a huge night elf statue decorates the room, extending a large bowl of Elune – the elf’s clothing strongly resembles that of Queen Azshara, as seen from the Well of Eternity.

Especially nostalgic will be the old Warcraft fans who will surely find the skeleton of the first Gul’Dan in the dungeon, who met his death in the tomb…

Cortyn says: As already seen in the Nighthold, I find it surprising how well the developers have managed to find a balance between “pretty” and “tainted”. Especially the glass images of the night elves and the large statue (Azshara?) give the associated rooms a great atmosphere, where one would rather spend hours role-playing than beating any demons back into the Nether. But well: First the beating, then the discussing.

Paladins will receive a “legendary” companion – Maximillian of Nordhain with Patch 7.2!

Raiding in World of Warcraft without hearing – what problems exist? Where are the biggest challenges?

Recently, we reported how the deaf guild Durus Veritas managed to defeat Xavius on Mythic difficulty in World of Warcraft. The colleagues from PCGamer interviewed the guild leader Joseph Antle. We have extracted some of the exciting passages and translated them for you.

Antle describes that before Durus Veritas, he was in a guild that attempted raids at that time. However, he did not really feel like he belonged, as the whole guild primarily discussed everything in Ventrilo – the chat was silent. He only received brief announcements such as “You dispel on the 3rd curse” or “You take care of the marked moon player”.

“I must admit that it was boring, and I felt isolated because no one used the chat, and everyone else used Ventrilo.”

In the interview, he explains in detail how the raid preparation of a deaf guild looks like during fights. The individual players have to remember many more mechanics and tasks than in a “regular” guild. No wonder that when a key player dies during the boss fight, the raid leader usually quickly announces a replacement in voice chat – but a guild with deaf players typically has little time for typing, as the mythical boss does not care about the players’ limitations.

It is also exciting that many types of physical disabilities in games have already been considered. For many games, there are settings so that colorblind people receive special displays or the color spectrum is adjusted so that the differences are clearer for them. However, one searches in vain for special settings for deaf people – and no, subtitles during cutscenes do not really count.

When asked what Blizzard could change to provide more help to the deaf and elevate them to a fairer playing field, Antler responds with a thought-provoking sentence:

“That’s a difficult question to answer, considering we don’t know exactly what we’re missing.”

There have already been some debates, especially regarding Overwatch, about whether at least the announcements of enemy ultimates could be indicated through subtitles so that deaf players can prepare for them, as these players are already at a significant disadvantage in a shooter – where hearing is generally very important.

Cortyn says: I still find it quite impressive what people with a handicap can achieve when they really love a hobby. Furthermore, it is always refreshing to get a bit of “input” from other sides to be able to understand them. I find the argument for subtitles for Overwatch ultimates particularly fascinating, but it is something I would never have thought of in my life. The responsibility lies here with the hearing people to enable a better game for those without this “normality”.

Just recently, Durus Veritas defeated Xavius in the Mythic Emerald Nightmare.

The Alliance in World of Warcraft is a wreck. Conflicts are brewing between Anduin Wrynn and Genn Greymane. We have information on how the story continues in 7.2.

More and more features of the upcoming update for World of Warcraft have been unlocked on the test server in recent days. This has also led data miners to extract new information from the data mountains, revealing some interesting developments. There are some spoilers here – you have been warned.

Obviously, the Alliance has not coped well with the death of Varian Wrynn, despite all efforts on the Broken Isles. Especially his son Anduin Wrynn is still trapped in mourning weeks later and seems to have fallen into lethargy.

Especially Genn Greymane, the leader of the Worgen, seems to be losing patience with him. Although he often treats Anduin “like his own son,” his patience is wearing thin.

At least Alliance members seem to be getting a quest where the leaders of the Alliance gather to discuss King Anduin – at least Genn and “the Prophet” (Velen) seem to be consulting each other.

Anduin himself has also received a lot of voiceovers. It seems that you will accompany him through the city of Stormwind – while he is in disguise. Whether he fears enemies within or simply does not want to be recognized by the people is not yet clear.

It is also exciting that Anduin’s faith in the Light seems to be waning:

“Since you returned my father’s compass, I have prayed for guidance to the Light and to know that his soul rests. The Light does not answer.”

Self-doubt also plagues him:

“My people like me. They respect me. But they do not believe in me.”

Apparently, Anduin has not come through the words of the dreadlord who wanted to kill him unscathed, as the comic would have us believe.

Anduin talks a lot about his predecessors and the heroes who have protected his life and ultimately had to pay the “ultimate price” – death. “Now is my time to do the same,” he says before setting off towards the Broken Shore.

Genn Greymane, on the other hand, seems to be getting fed up with the “whining” of the boy. He fears that the Alliance will break apart if he does not soon “understand the horrors of war and the sacrifices his soldiers are making for him. A king must know the weight of his commands – their price.”

“If a compass breaks its morality, what will it do when war reaches our doorstep?”

The recent developments in the Alliance are definitely exciting and will likely lead to some speculation and thrilling twists in the upcoming patches. After all, as the old Il’gynoth said in the nightmare?

“The young king sits at the master’s table. He will offer you three lies.”

Please note that the voiceovers are still somewhat chaotic and not necessarily orderly. Many files from other characters, such as Velen, are still completely missing. And what is happening with the Horde is also still in the dark…

The next addon seems to lead us once again against the Old Gods.

Patch 7.2 of World of Warcraft gets a very special dungeon – all fans of pet battles rejoice.

It was a small announcement at BlizzCon 2016, but the fan community responded enthusiastically: All pet battle fans can look forward to new content – pet battle dungeons.

While no one could quite imagine what that would look like back then, the developers of World of Warcraft have now released a first rough guide that presents the first pet battle dungeon.

The players travel once again into the Caverns of Wailing – right, the long-forgotten instance in the Barrens that probably hasn’t been visited since level 20, because it is a single labyrinth and even experienced players regularly drive themselves crazy.

Lead your favorite pets into the Caverns of Wailing

Essentially, the “dungeon” runs similarly to the tournament on the Timeless Isle. A total of 6 pet battles must be completed: 3 battles against “normal” teams and 3 more against bosses.

On the first visit to the Caverns of Wailing, there is also an additional fight that is supposed to have something to do with Naralex – the night elf who was protected and awakened during the “normal” instance visit.

To enter the dungeon, you only need a single pet at level 25. However, the developers recommend showing up with at least 15 max-level pets if you want a realistic chance. Throughout the dungeon, it is not possible to heal the pets in the usual way. Once a pet is defeated, it is not available for the rest of the dungeon. Tactics and planning are therefore essential once again – but that’s exactly what makes the fun of pet battles, right?

WoW 7.2 brings hot pet instances and rewards

As a reward for the first completion of the dungeon, a stone is offered that can instantly raise any pet to “rare” and level 25. On subsequent weekly visits, there is a reward bag that can contain one of three new rare pets, in addition to pet good luck charms and plenty of pet stuff. For collectors, a weekly visit is therefore a must.

It is hinted that the strange incidents in this dungeon – to be precise, a corruption – are only a harbinger of something that is yet to come. So it can be expected that there will be more pet battle dungeons at a later time… or we might get the first signs for the addon after Legion.

Speaking of “after Legion” – we already have a theory about the old gods.
