Bungie will provide us with additional information about Destiny 2 throughout July. Before, after, and during the beta of Destiny 2, there will be a deluge of news. There should be information about the new social space, the Farm, and much more information about Destiny 2’s PvP. The Titan subclass “Sentinel” will also be introduced.
Bungie likes to enter exclusive deals with online sites to gradually release information about their mammoth project Destiny. In the past, they partnered with the US site “Game Informer” and allowed them an exclusive look at “The Taken King” before it was released.
This time Bungie has entered into such a deal again, but not with “Game Informer”, but with IGN. In their format “IGN First”, they want to publish exclusive information throughout July.
Therefore, we can expect numerous pieces of information before, after, and during the Destiny 2 Beta, which starts on July 18. We present to you the highlight dates:
On July 21, everything will revolve around localization
And on July 26, Bungie wants to shed light on how an exotic item is created
In total, IGN has 16 dates from July 5 to July 28 to unveil new Destiny information. Recently, the information that fans received about Destiny 2 was rather lukewarm and mediocre.
We can hope that the general vibe of Destiny 2 will change again in July as the beta runs.
We will report on all new relevant information about Destiny 2 at Mein-MMO.de and of course also about the odd completely irrelevant news, simply because we can.
Who would want to miss seeing a 170 kg wrestler break down in tears because he is given a toy weapon? Not me!
Once control a raid boss in World of Warcraft – with this little Easter egg, it is possible!
In a game as large as World of Warcraft, the developers have built in a plethora of smaller and larger Easter eggs over more than a decade. These hidden references and funny scenes range from the names of certain NPCs to tributes to former employees to memes that find their way into the game world.
A new Easter egg from the Tomb of Sargeras even impacts the gameplay of the game and provides plenty of entertainment. In the current raid “Tomb of Sargeras”, there are several “Orcish runes” scattered throughout the encounter.
When Gul’dan mows down the raid
If a player manages to click on the runes, the character is transformed into an echo of Gul’dan, who died long ago in the tomb. While the character retains its health points, it gains a set of new abilities! With plenty of fel magic, Gul’dan can then toss around. But who should he attack? His own raid members! They are actually hostile and can be beaten up at will.
Some of the locations have been summarized by wowhead in this video:

Only one player can click on the runes – it’s not possible for other raid members. Who it is is decided anew each week.
However, the runes are inactive during the LFR difficulty. Apparently, they didn’t want to further strain the very low tolerance threshold of these groups.
Whether this may still serve a secret purpose is something the community is trying to figure out. Currently, it just looks like a fun gimmick, with which you can give your friends a solid fel fireball to the face.
Have you already become a victim or perpetrator of this Easter egg? And what do you think about it? A cool thing or rather annoying when someone thinks it is funny again?
You can test the Necromancer for free for one week in Diablo 3. Compete with other players in the Challenge Rift.
For a few days now, you can play the Necromancer in Diablo 3 if you have purchased the “Return of the Necromancer” DLC. If the price of €15 is too high for you and you do not want to buy the package without testing the class first, you can now try the Necro for a limited time.
In the new Challenge Rift of Diablo 3, the Necromancer is available to you with a specific build.
Try the Necromancer for free
The Challenge Portal this week offers you the Necromancer with a special pet build. The special thing about it is that every player who owns Diablo 3 can participate. Even if you have not purchased the Necro DLC, you have the opportunity to try this class for free until next Tuesday.
However, in this “test,” you only have a specific build with fixed equipment available. You cannot try other builds and playstyles in this free trial program.
For a first glimpse of the new class in Diablo 3, the Challenge Portal might be sufficient.
In the Challenge Portals (Challenge Rifts), the Diablo 3 team sets a special task every week that is active for 7 days. The skills and equipment of a player who has completed a Greater Nephalem Rift are copied.
You can find the Challenge Rifts in the main menu of Diablo 3. Click on the left side under “Start Game” on “Settings.” In addition to the campaign and adventure mode, you will also find a tab called Challenge Portals. Click on that and then select “Start Game” to try the Challenge Rift with the Necro.
Sony has deleted the video of Anthem from its own YouTube channel because fans became angry. On Xbox, this is considered a clear victory.
The rivalry between Sony and Microsoft is especially reflected in the console wars between Xbox and PlayStation. The venue for the latest conflict is apparently the upcoming BioWare game Anthem. It was revealed at E3 and attracted a lot of attention as it has ambitious goals and promises to be a multiplayer highlight.
During E3, there was also the first gameplay footage, which not only served to present the game but also aimed to showcase the performance of the new Xbox One X. Since Anthem will also be released for PlayStation 4, a gameplay trailer on Sony’s official PlayStation YouTube channel followed shortly thereafter.
However, it didn’t take long for viewers to notice some strange images in the video. When the buttons to press were displayed in the gameplay scenes, observant viewers noticed that the PS4 buttons were simply overlaid on those of the Xbox One X!
In the meantime, Sony has deleted the video from its channel without comment. An official statement regarding this “deception” is still pending.
The marketing manager of Xbox, Aaron Greenberg, commented on this on Twitter with an “Oops!” and a crying smiley face from joy.

The accusation here is clear: Sony’s PlayStation 4 will not achieve the same performance as the Xbox One X and wanted to beautify its own material in order to have convincing gameplay and gameplay scenes on the channel.
What do you think of the whole situation? An embarrassing action by Sony or is it rather childish to laugh about it now? Let us know in the comments!
Combat systems are always an important factor in online role-playing games. It makes a big difference whether an MMORPG offers a free action combat system or comes with comfortable tab-targeting. But which MMO has the best combat system? Find out in our survey!
“What is the combat system?” is the ultimate question for every online role-playing game. Because fans of fast-paced, dynamic action fights usually fall asleep with traditional tab-targeting systems. On the other hand, many fans of the good old click-to-attack are glad not to be constantly frantically hitting the keys and aiming their attacks like in a MOBA.
But which online role-playing game do you think has the best combat system and which games are even available for selection?
Combat systems in MMOs – Tab-targeting with variance
Combat systems are situated in most online role-playing games somewhere between classic tab-targeting systems and completely free action combat systems, which are more reminiscent of fighting games or MOBAs. A good example of the classic model includes World of Warcraft and Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Usually, you target an enemy with a mouse click or the tab key, and as long as you do not perform area attacks, you only hit that target. The advantage of this: You always hit automatically and do not have to be great at aiming.
However, the disadvantage is that in the chaos, especially as a melee fighter, you do not attack the opponent in front of you, but the targeted one. This can be a problem in SWTOR when, as a Jedi with a lightsaber, you are swinging around in a crowd of enemies and only one opponent takes damage.
World of Warcraft has recently smartly circumvented this annoyance with the Demon Hunter. The demon slayer has, in fact, almost only small melee area attacks and can thus stylishly mow down hordes of enemies with his glaives.
Combat systems in MMOs – Combos and Skillshots
On the other side of the spectrum are fast-paced action combat systems, which modern MMOs usually showcase. Foremost among them are TERA, WildStar, and Black Desert Online. All three games allow for free movement and active dodging. However, you also have to aim well, as many of your attacks really need to hit the opponent. It’s not enough to just stand in range and spam your attacks.
Rather, there are tons of attacks that work like skillshots from MOBA games and need to be aimed well and executed with thought. Moreover, many action combat systems thrive on complex combos. Many skills build perfectly on each other and allow for cool combinations. Especially the fast-paced Black Desert Online stands out here.
Many combat systems, however, fall somewhere in between and have elements of tab-targeting and action. For example, Guild Wars 2 or The Elder Scrolls Online. There, you can dodge, but you should ideally target your enemies via tab. And other games like Revelation Online let you fully choose how you want to control the fights.
Mein-MMO is looking for the best combat system!
But enough of the preamble. Let’s move on to selecting the best combat system. In the following list, we have listed several MMOs. You can vote in the survey which MMO you think has the best combat system. We will evaluate the results at a later date and announce the winners in another article. Have fun voting! Feel free to write your reasoning in the comments.
DayZ fans are outraged by the first images of the new Desert map in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds! Because a bicycle looks enticing and cheeky around the corner. The players of DayZ want this hot frame very much. So much that there is even a dedicated Twitter account about the bicycle.
If you look closely, you can see a bicycle behind a hut. It coyly shows only its rear tire and saddle. Who wouldn’t want to ride this hot frame through the desert and shoot opponents in the survival shooter? At least DayZ players long for that vehicle.
There is even a Twitter account that solely deals with the fact that there is no bicycle in DayZ, “Is Bike in DayZ yet?” Translated: Is there a bike in DayZ yet?
This account commented on the new PUBG screenshot in disbelief.

Bicycles were still present in DayZ’s original mod
DayZ is a survival horror MMO that initially started as a modification of the game ArmA 2. However, the mod was so popular that the developers wanted to release DayZ as a “standalone” game. In exactly this mod, the coveted bicycle was still available.
The standalone release of DayZ has been dragging on for over three years now like a tough chewing gum. It is still in early access, and when the bicycle will ever return to the game is uncertain. If it ever comes back.
In PlayerUnknown’s Battleground, vehicles are practical companions to quickly race across the map. A bicycle would be super inconspicuous and would fit perfectly into the game.
For some DayZ fans, PlayerUnknown’s Battleground has become the better alternative. Now it seems that the bicycle will arrive even faster in the popular survival shooter.
However, it is still unknown when the desert map in PUBG will be released and whether the bicycle will really be added. A sad “Ring, Ring” echoes from DayZ fans upon seeing these images.
How would you like a bicycle in PlayerUnknown’s Battleground?
Is Sony responsible for the delay of Red Dead Redemption 2? Rumors say: Yes! – Allegedly, there are problems with cross-play.
New rumors about Red Dead Redemption 2 are causing unrest in the community. The delayed release of the western adventure is allegedly due to Sony, as they do not want to agree to a cross-play feature.
Keep in mind that this is not official information from Rockstar Games or Sony, but a rumor.
Is the refusal of crossplay the reason for the late release of RDR2?
The announcement of Red Dead Redemption 2 created hype in the gaming community. The trailer for RDR2 made fans’ hearts race as they looked forward to a release in 2017. However, in May of this year, the first disappointment hit the community: Release postponed – Red Dead Redemption 2 will come no earlier than April 2018.
As a reason for the delay, Rockstar Games stated that they simply need more time for the game. They want to present the community with a “finished” game.
Now rumors say that the delay is due to Sony.
According to the website BlastingNews, a cross-play feature is allegedly planned for Red Dead Redemption 2. This means a feature where players on PS4, Xbox One, and PC can play online together.
However, according to rumors, Sony’s attitude towards cross-play is the reason why the game is being released later. Apparently, Sony has not yet granted permission for this feature to Rockstar Games.
The later release is said to give more time to reach a compromise. But again: This is only a rumor and has not been officially confirmed by Rockstar Games or Sony.
Sony wants to protect children
In recent weeks, Sony has already drawn attention to itself regarding cross-play. For example, they rejected the cross-play feature in the auto-soccer game “Rocket League” and the building-survival game “Minecraft”.
As a reason why Sony is against cross-play in Minecraft, they say, “The player group of Minecraft is represented across all age groups and can also be very young. We have the mission to take care of the players who go online through us. Exposing players, some of whom are children, to external influences is something we have to think carefully about. Because we cannot control these influences.”
Whether the rumors about a planned cross-play feature in RDR2 and Sony’s rejection are really true will perhaps be revealed soon. Because according to Rockstar Games, there should be news about Red Dead Redemption 2 this summer.
Publisher Activision is pleased with the success of Destiny 1, but sees a major problem: too little content. This should run differently with Destiny 2 .
The site Gamesindustry.biz conducted an interview with Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg. He struggles with the frequency at which new game content was released for Destiny 1.
“We did a lot right with Destiny, but one thing we didn’t do right: We couldn’t satisfy the hunger for new game content,” said Hirshberg. They had great DLCs and expansions, but players clearly wanted more.
For Destiny 2, Hirshberg has a new plan: They are setting other AAA developers from the Activision system to work alongside Bungie on Destiny content: including Vicarious Visions and High Moon Studios. This will help maintain a robust pipeline of new content.
A-Team or B-Team?
Mein-MMO thinks: It’s interesting that Hirshberg phrases it as if there could be even more studios besides Bungie, High Moon, and Vicarious Visions delivering content for Destiny. So far, it is unclear what High Moon and Vicarious Visions are actually working on.
Vicarious Visions is responsible for the PC version, that is known, but what else is coming from New York for Destiny 2 is unclear.
The High Moon Studios, it was said, were working on a Cabal raid. But those were only dubious rumors back then.
Bungie had already run various teams in the past. Different people worked on the DLCs than those working on the expansion or now on Destiny 2. You can see this clearly in who is in charge of public relations at events and livestreams.
The “A-Team” with Luke Smith and Mark Noseworthy was responsible for “The Taken King” and is now in charge of “Destiny 2” – Smith probably also had a hand in the raids “The Vault of Glass” and “Crota’s End”.
Meanwhile, a kind of “B-Team” was responsible for other content like “House of Wolves” or “Rise of Iron”.
A third team, the “Live Team,” has handled the events in between.
The problem so far has been: It was clearly noticeable when the A-Team was on duty, when the B-Team and when the Live Team.
This “team approach” is not new for Bungie. If Activision succeeds in creating multiple teams that can deliver high-quality content for Destiny 2 without the quality dropping, it could indeed solve the content problems.
Bungie has frequently emphasized the close collaboration with Vicarious Visions and that they do not see them as contractors but as an extension of their own studio.
What do you think about the news? Are you excited for more content, or are you more skeptical?
WoW goes far beyond the borders of Azeroth. Will players soon travel even deeper into the universe?
The Game Director of World of Warcraft, Ion Hazzikostas, recently gave an interview on the Youtub channel of Cox n’ Crendor and also spoke about the future of World of Warcraft.
At its heart, World of Warcraft is a story set in the realm of “High Fantasy” – there are dragons, magic, various races, and all the typical elements that define fantasy. However, Warcraft has always had a touch of Sci-Fi, as traveling to distant planets (like Draenor) has been a part of the franchise for a long time.

Through additional elements, such as time travel (bronze dragons) or the Draenei (who have traveled through the galaxy), the Sci-Fi aspect of Warcraft always shines through. Even now, with the invasions of the Burning Legion, it becomes clear that technology – even if intertwined with magic – plays a significant role in movement. The leaders of the Legion use spaceships to conquer individual worlds.
Warcraft still has many planets to offer
But that doesn’t mean the end of the line. World of Warcraft could become “much crazier” and there are still many worlds and places that players can explore. One small glimpse of this can be found in Patch 7.3, as in the so-called “Rifts” players travel to other worlds that are besieged by the Legion – however, much will not be learned about these places.
Nevertheless, an effort is made to always provide players with a “familiar ground.” They should always feel as if they are still on their adventure in World of Warcraft and not suddenly in a completely different game.
What do you think about it? Do you wish for more Sci-Fi elements and new worlds in World of Warcraft? Or should the game focus more on magic, sword fights, and dragon battles?
In the closed beta of the open-world MMO Worlds Adrift (PC), it is mainly about exploring a vast, mostly player-generated game world, open PvP, and deadly storms that present their own endgame challenge.
The game world has crumbled into dozens of floating islands. The little islands now drift in the air, waiting for you to explore them with your player heroes. This, however, only works if you build an airship and set off on an adventure.
https://youtu.be/6ifGsuJtyDo
I, Jürgen, spent a good hour in Worlds Adrift with the developers from Bossa Studio, and what we experienced there, you can find out here.
Worlds Adrift – Steampunk Hipster Ahoy!
Before we get started, you create your own hero like in almost every MMO. But while games like Blade & Soul or Black Desert Online offer tons of options, in Worlds Adrift you can only choose gender, hairstyle, and clothes. That’s it!
There are no races, classes, or stats that you can adjust during character creation. Just the purely cosmetic appearance. I chose a bearded hipster with an undercut and steampunk clothing, who, thanks to the minimalist comic graphics, simply looked adorable with his big round eyes!
Worlds Adrift – My Enemy, Gravity!
Together with developer Herb Liu, we got started right after character creation. We started in a kind of tower ruin on the ground. There was no exit, just a kind of ledge many meters above us. How are we supposed to get out of there? Here comes a special feature of Worlds Adrift into play, because every hero comes standard with a grappling harpoon.
Just briefly aim at the ledge and we could ascend on the harpoon rope in the best free-climbing manner. At the top was an exit from the tower, but as the structure stands on a floating island, there was nothing but eternal emptiness yawning before us. Only a brave jump with subsequent grappling hook use could get us to the rest of the island.
While my teammate sailed through the area like a young god and, thanks to a precise grappling hook shot and optimal use of momentum, landed perfectly on the mainland, I clumsily missed the jump and fell into the abyss. I could still watch my poor little hipster fall for a while. Eventually, however, the game took pity on me and let me respawn in the tower.
Worlds Adrift – Exploring and Building
At some point, however, I got the hang of it and also managed to get to the remaining island outside the tower. There were wrecks of ships lying around everywhere. As Herb explained to me, these are half-finished construction projects from other players that were abandoned midway through building. But that shouldn’t happen to us.
Before we could build a ship, we first had to explore our island, gather resources, and accumulate the necessary knowledge by scanning trees, stones, and bushes. The scans grant knowledge points, and when you have enough, you can unlock blueprints in the menu.
So, after a short time, we had the know-how to build a small flying sloop. The building system in Worlds Adrift is completely free and allows for maximum creativity. You can freely assemble the individual components of the ship, but not everything makes sense. For example, if the steering wheel sticks vertically to the hull and the sail is protruding from the bow, the ship won’t get far.
Worlds Adrift – Off to New Worlds
The ship was finally finished, and even the sails were arranged somewhat sensibly. I took off and steered the ship from a first-person perspective to another island. Here it became evident that I had slacked off a bit during construction, as the sails were crookedly mounted, causing the wind to constantly push me off course, and I had to regularly steer against it.
Eventually, we reached another island. This one is – like almost all islands – built by players outside the game in a special editor. After an approval by the developers, the islands are then added to the game and can be explored from that point on. On the new island, we found more resources.
Additionally, someone apparently managed to awkwardly wedge their ship into a cave, forcing them to abandon it. Unfortunately, they had taken all the valuable items with them beforehand and left nothing to loot. In Worlds Adrift, there are aggressive creatures, but the main danger comes from other players due to the open PvP, who can destroy our ship and loot our stuff. Fortunately, we didn’t encounter any such pirates during our tour.
Worlds Adrift – The Eye of the Storm
If you’ve had enough of the initial islands, you can sail to remote areas at any time. However, this is not so easy, as you have to navigate through raging storm fronts. These damage your ship, and if you take too long or are not robust enough, your airship will be torn apart right beneath you. Thus, our attempt to explore new lands ended with a burning wreck and a long fall to our death.
However, the developers had finally brought in an experienced player from Worlds Adrift. Lexhy and his friends had built a gigantic airship equipped with rocket turbines, thick armor plates, and powerful cannons that fear neither storms nor pirates.
With Lexhy and his ship “Lexhyngton”, we were finally able to traverse the storm and discover islands with even richer loot behind them. Unfortunately, our time with the developers wasn’t enough to thoroughly explore this island as well.
Jürgen says: I usually don’t like sandbox MMOs, but I really enjoyed my time in Worlds Adrift with the developers. Okay, that might be because they explained everything to me right away.
On my own, I probably wouldn’t have grasped many things, such as the quite complex building mechanics, right away. And since I’m a hopeless klutz, I’ve been able to watch my character fall more than once. However, anyone who enjoys sandboxing, open PvP (of which I didn’t experience much in my session), and aerial acrobatics should definitely take a look or wait for the open beta.
If you also want to get a picture of Worlds Adrift, you can buy a founder pack on the official homepage of the developer Bossa. However, be careful, as founder packs are only available at certain times. So, it may be that you cannot currently purchase any packs.
In the MMO shooter Destiny, the Weekly Reset is today, on July 4th. New activities to complete include the Nightfall strike.
Today marks the time of farewell and “last times” in Destiny. For the sequel Destiny 2 is rapidly approaching the Guardians, and many activities will soon come to an end.
On this Tuesday at 11 AM, the Weekly Reset occurs. This week, you can play the Kingsfall Raid as the Featured Raid for the last time if you still need it for your record book. In the Triumphs record book, it is only possible to obtain the T-shirt and the highest rank until August 1st. From July 4th to July 11th, the Kingsfall Raid will be the Featured Raid for the last time before this deadline. Afterward, the raid will still be available as a Featured Raid, but it will no longer count towards the record book.
Additionally, the second to last Iron Banner ever in Destiny 1 begins today at 7 PM. However, if you still need Rank 5 in the Iron Banner for the record milestone, this week’s Iron Banner is your last chance.
Let’s see what else the week brings.
Nightfall on July 4th on PS4 and Xbox One
This week, the Nightfall is the Nexus.
The modifiers are:
Epic
Specialist: Increased damage from special weapons
Juggler: No ammo drops for the equipped weapon
Chaff: Radar is disabled
Shielded: More enemies carry shields
In the heroic SIVA Crisis Strike playlist, the modifiers are Heroic, Juggler, Airborne, Catapult.
Elder Challenge and Story Playlist
In the weekly story playlist, you will enter the missions of the Iron Lords. Modifiers are Heroic, Sidearms, and Puzzler.
In the Elder Challenge, you will receive bonus points for grenade kills. The modifiers are Chaff and Drizzle. You will fight against Noru’usk, the Overmind Minotaur and the Wretched Knight.
Not long now, and the sandbox MMORPG Albion Online will officially open its doors. The developers are preparing for the launch.
The current final beta phase of the MMO ends on July 9th at 10 PM. This also marks the end of the founder phase, meaning that the founder packs will be removed from the program. If you want to get one of these packs, you shouldn’t wait too long. For the final phase, these packs have even received a bit more gold. You have available:

Albion Online: The Last Wipe Before Launch
On July 9th, the server will also be shut down and the final wipe will take place. The doors will reopen on July 17th.
Then the fate of the world of Albion, including the economy, will be in your hands. When exactly you can start depends on your founder packs and will be announced by the developers in the coming days. The end of the beta phase is now being celebrated with exciting events, the details of which are not yet finalized.
With a new video, the developers explain once again the end of the beta and founder phases. The team is very grateful for the support of the players and wants to make Albion the best possible gaming experience together with you. Of course, the MMORPG will also continue to be expanded and improved after release, which is why your feedback will still be important then.

First screenshots of the new desert map in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) have appeared. Fitting for a “Battle Royale” shooter, it looks interestingly depressing: It’s dry and spiky!
On Twitter, Creative Director Brendan Greene, better known as PlayerUnknown, published the first screenshots of the new desert map. The typical huts of the shooter can be seen, where loot or other players are lurking. As one would expect from a desert, there is drought everywhere and the surroundings look parchedout.
Cacti and shrubs can be seen. Are they suitable for taking cover? More buildings could be on the distant horizon and a fire is spreading.
Here’s the tweet with the two screenshots. Playerunknown has labeled them as WIP, meaning “Work in Progress”. The map is still being worked on and may change before release.
ARK Survival Evolved has received a free expansion: Ragnarok. This map combines elements from The Island, Scorched Earth, and new areas. Additionally, there are new creatures like the majestic Griffin and Ice Wyvern. Ragnarok is unique because the map is the first product from Wildcard’s sponsored mod program.
Ragnarok is a DLC expansion for Ark Survival Evolved and is available for free download, provided you already own the base game. Those who embark on this expansion will dive into the ultimate fight for survival! Here you will find icy caves that the survivor must dare to enter with shaking knees. Valuable resources can be gathered at the edge of an active volcano.
As if the merciless environment were not enough, there are also hungry polar bears, feared Ice Wyverns, and a mystical creature that only a few have managed to tame.

ARK: Ragnarok map is incomplete – expansion is still in progress
So far, only the northern part of Ragnarok has been developed, and thus 40% to 50% of the map is finished. Ragnarok is still under development and will be expanded with additional updates. The map will be larger than those of The Island and Scorched Earth and is expected to incorporate elements from both areas. In total, the map covers 144 km².
In Ragnarok, survivors will find themselves in a variety of different biomes. These include:
Jungle
Icy mountain peaks
Swamps
Volcanic areas
Snow
Rocks
An ocean
Ruins
This is the completed part of the Ragnarok map. The image is from Ark’s Gamepedia.
If facing “normal” creatures like the Wyvern in Ragnarok is not enough, you can also challenge yourself against two new dungeon bosses: the Ice Worm and the Lava Golem.
There is something nice waiting for survivors on the new DLC map. The spawn rate of Megalania and the Ovis is increased here.
Griffin, polar bear, and Ice Wyvern are the new creatures in Ragnarok
Ragnarok hosts new creatures that ARK has not seen before. Wyverns have apparently adapted to the tundra-like regions here and use the “Ice” element. There are also Wyverns in other elemental forms such as Fire and Poison. The polar bears also fit the frosty terrain that Ragnarok offers and will be tamed into loyal mounts with great stamina.
Gryphon Magnificum – Become the king of the skies with the Griffin
The Griffin is a mythical figure: Half lion and half eagle, this creature soars above the earthly realm. Survivors should not be deceived by the majesty of this creature and should keep their distance. The Griffin is a dangerous hunter that pounces down from the sky onto its prey with incredible strength.
Those brave and foolish enough to tame this legendary figure will become the kings of the skies. Those who ride the Griffin will move swiftly through the sky and can even bring a companion along.
Ragnarok is the first mod from Wildcard’s scholarship program
Since February 2017, Studio Wildcard has been paying selected mod developers a scholarship. The modders receive monthly funding of 4,000 dollars (approximately 3,780€). Ragnarok was one of the first chosen mods and is now the first to be released. The developers of Ragnarok are old acquaintances in ARK and have previously worked on the popular mods “Valhalla” and “Umassoura”.
Ragnarok is now available for PC – PS4 & Xbox One must wait
Ragnarok is available to PC players under this link as a free expansion on Steam. PS4 and Xbox players will have to be patient. According to a tweet from Community Manager Jen, Wildcard is trying to bring Ragnarok to consoles during the week of July 10. So that would be next week.
The dragons in World of Warcraft might make a comeback. At least the Game Director thinks they will still play an important role.
A few days ago, the Game Director of World of Warcraft, Ion Hazzikostas, gave an interview with the two YouTubers from the channel Cox n’ Crendor and talked about various topics. Among other things, the scenario “The Deaths of Chromie” sparked some questions among the players.
In general, it is believed that dragons are something “pretty cool” and simply belong to Warcraft. It is possible that the “gates” for stories about dragons might be reopened in the future. If this means that some things in the lore need to be rewritten or reinterpreted a bit, then so be it.

The reason for this is that the great dragonflights have not only largely lost their special powers, but with the end of Cataclysm, they have also lost the ability to reproduce.
Bronze dragons (and also the Timeless Dragonflight) are anyway a special case, as they exist somewhat apart from the rest of the game world with their time travels and various timelines, allowing for many exceptions.

As an example, Hazzikostas also mentions Illidan. He was actually defeated in the Black Temple. However, in the planning phase of Legion, the developers found out how many great opportunities there would be to revive the story of the demon hunter. Therefore, the past was rewritten so that Illidan was defeated but then captured. This opened up many new possibilities.
What do you think about existing lore being retroactively adjusted? A good way to maneuver the story out of a dead end? Or is it more of a bad thing?
In World of Warcraft: Legion some characters appeared that not much is known about. We explain who Alleria and Turalyon actually are.
World of Warcraft is undoubtedly one of the largest game worlds that has ever existed. This refers not only to the sheer area of the game but also to the multitude of characters and their backstories. Those who were not fans since “Warcraft I” and consumed all the books and comics can only guess about some events in the game world.
For a long time, there has been the loading screen hint that no one has seen Turalyon and Alleria for years – until now. But who are the two? Why are they important? And where have these characters appeared before?
In this post, we summarize who Turalyon and Alleria actually are.
Alleria Windrunner – Part of a Family with a Great Name
Alleria as depicted in the Pen&Paper rules “Shadows and Light”.
Alleria Windrunner is a High Elf and the daughter of Lireesa Windrunner, who was a ranger general of Silvermoon for a long time. She is the sister of Sylvanas, Vereesa, and Lirath. Lirath died in an attack by the Orcs, after which Alleria swore to hunt down all Orcs for vengeance.
Alleria was actually supposed to be the next general of the rangers; however, she had no interest in traditions and instead joined the Wayfarers (a subgroup of the rangers) to fight for her people all over the world. When a large part of her family was killed in the attack by the Orcs, she sought comfort in the arms of her companion, the human Turalyon. From this union came the half-elf son Arator, whom paladins meet during their class hall quest line. He can also be found as an Alliance member in the shattered realm.
Turalyon – From Priest to Paladin to Legend
Turalyon was originally a priest chosen by Alonsus Faol to found the Knights of the Silver Hand. Among them were also other well-known paladins, like Uther or Tirion Fordring. During the Second War, he served under Lord Anduin Lothar and developed a strong friendship with Khadgar, the apprentice of Medivh.
After helping in the defense of the capital and later in Quel’Thalas, he rushed with Anduin Lothar to defend Ironforge and later stormed Blackrock Mountain.
There, Turalyon saw Anduin fall in the fight against Orgrim Doomhammer, but took up his sword and led the Alliance to victory, forcing the Orcs to retreat.
Warcraft II – Beyond the Dark Portal
In the expansion of Warcraft II Beyond the Dark Portal, Turalyon and Alleria are almost always together. They led an expedition through the Dark Portal to Draenor (together with heroes like Khadgar and Danath Trollbane), where they were to retrieve the Skull of Gul’dan to safely close the portal.
During the expedition, they found out that the Orc warlock Ner’zhul wanted to open more portals so that the Horde could plunder even more worlds. Although they were able to obtain the Skull of Gul’dan from Deathwing, they failed in their mission. Ner’zhul opened numerous portals, tearing apart all of Draenor, which has since been known as the ” shattered world”.
To prevent the spread of this destruction to Azeroth, they sealed the Dark Portal from the inside, trapping themselves in the shattered world.
When the portal was opened again in World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, players encountered the last survivors of the expedition and some notable characters – such as Khadgar.
However, there was no trace of Turalyon and Alleria, as they disappeared without a trace just under 3 years after the closure of the Dark Portal.
In the entrance of Stormwind stands a statue of Alleria, meant to honor her heroic efforts and sacrifice in Draenor – the words of praise were even written by Sylvanas Windrunner when she was still among the living:
“Ranger Captain Alleria Windrunner”
“Famous troll hunter from Quel’Thalas. Chief scout and secret agent for the Alliance expedition that invaded Draenor, the homeland of the Orcs. Presumably fallen.”
“You flew like an arrow in the wind, sister. You were the best of our order. You were the dearest of our kin.”
– Sylvanas Windrunner – Ranger General of Quel’Thalas”
The Return of Turalyon and Alleria in World of Warcraft: Legion
Only in World of Warcraft: Legion was it revealed what happened to the two. During the quest line about the Heart of Light, players find out that Turalyon is still alive and has joined the “Army of the Light.” This army has been fighting against the Burning Legion for “thousands of years” and is on the brink of despair. This is possible because time flows differently and chaotically in the Twisting Nether – so one day on Azeroth can correspond to several years in the Nether, but the opposite can also be the case.

How they found their way to the Army of the Light (and why Turalyon is thousands of years old as a human) will surely be explained in the upcoming patches.
If you are soon facing Alleria and Turalyon, then you at least know who you are up against: heroes of the Alliance who first appeared in a video game over 20 years ago and have since been nothing but legends.

Pokémon GO has generated 1 billion dollars in revenue since its release. 750 million players have already downloaded the app.
Data from the app analytics service “Apptopia” shows a strong first year for Pokémon GO. According to their data, the mobile game has generated 1 billion US dollars in revenue since its release. The high interest in the augmented reality hit is also reflected in the download numbers: Pokémon GO has been downloaded over 752 million times.
About 40% of Pokémon GO players are women
Pokémon GO is a particularly successful mobile game. With over 1.2 billion dollars in revenue and more than 752 million downloads, it is clear how popular the game is. The game was released in summer 2016 and generated 950 million dollars in revenue in the same year. In August 2016, Pokémon GO reached a peak of 100 million monthly users in this category.
Just a few days ago, the game received the largest update in its history. Such content updates motivate trainers to stay in the (Poké) ball and continue the hunt for Snorlax, Lapras, and others. However, it’s not just teenagers who are often hunting for the little pocket monsters.
About 32% of players are up to 18 years old. 38% of all players are between 19 and 34 years old. Even among the older demographic, the game finds its fans who are often on the go and can frequently offer younger players some tips. According to Apptopia, around 60% of players are male and 40% are female.
In our Pokémon GO Facebook group, trainers often exchange information about the game, help with problems, and share their adventures.
Even after the big hype in summer 2016, our readers on Mein-MMO.de still regularly play the augmented reality hit and go out daily to hunt for new monsters and additional PokéStops.
In a survey, we asked you how often you play Pokémon GO. So far, about 1300 readers have participated in the survey, of which 43% still play daily and 19% have since stopped playing Pokémon GO.
