In Destiny 2, a US retailer is charging money for players who have canceled their pre-order.
It was a poorly kept secret: If you want a beta code, pre-order Destiny 2, redeem the beta key, and then cancel your pre-order. You have the beta code, you can play, and if you like it, you can still buy it later.
This is what many forums have reported, and surely some of our readers have done the same.
Customers of the retail chain “Best Buy” in the USA are complaining in forums that the store charges $20 for the beta code after they canceled their Destiny 2 pre-order.
This is not a mistake or an error. They mean it seriously.
20 $ please – We can’t return the code once it’s redeemed
In a forum post from Best Buy the retail chain defends this decision and states: You canceled your pre-order after the beta code was redeemed. The code can no longer be returned or deactivated. Therefore, our system automatically charges its value. We apologize if this disappoints you, but since we cannot return or deactivate the code, we are unable to assist you further.
The value of a Destiny 2 beta code is presumably $20 in the eyes of Best Buy – approximately €17.15.
When buyers said: “Well, if I have to pay $20 anyway, I might as well add the rest and take the game after all,” the response was: “Unfortunately, that is not possible. Once it’s canceled, the order is out of the system.”
We are not aware of any cases where something like this has happened in Germany, such as with Amazon. Phew, lucky you, you rascals.
To be fair, it must be said: There doesn’t have to be any deceptive intent behind pre-ordering and then canceling Destiny 2. Currently, it seems that some pre-orders for Destiny 2 are being put on hold. Fans of Destiny 1 are also skeptical after the beta. Bungie has already tried to ease the mood by announcing that the beta is an old version of Destiny 2. The version for the launch of Destiny 2 will be much better.
The action game Gigantic (PC, Xbox One) has a wild development history behind it. Even wilder than previously thought. In February 2016, the project was practically dead, but the employees refused to give up on the shooter.
Anyone who has been following the news about Gigantic knew that something was wrong and that things were not going as planned.
Lack of funds, competition, and Windows 10
Microsoft was initially a partner, but then they dropped out. At first, it was said that Gigantic would only come for Windows 10, then suddenly it was for more platforms. Everything took much longer than expected. Suddenly, strong competition in the genre emerged with Overwatch and Paladins. The developer Motiga ran out of money. There were reports of layoffs and delays.
But the extent of the crisis Gigantic was in is only now becoming clear. In February 2016, it was said that some employees were laid off. Now we know: They fired everyone back then.
All 75 employees were laid off
In an interview with PC Gamer, the head behind Gigantic, Chris Chung, stated that he had to lay off all 75 employees in February 2016. There simply was no money left.
However, the employees still came to work the next day. Some left to meet their financial obligations, but 90% stayed, despite their situation being completely unclear and without any security.
They just didn’t want to accept that the game was dead; they believed so much in their work.
Weeks later, a deal with the publisher Perfect World was reached. This saved Gigantic. Perfect World was impressed that people were still working night shifts even though they had been laid off weeks earlier.
Perfect World helped without bureaucracy and provided funds. Salaries were flowing at Gigantic again.
Now the game was no longer exclusive to Windows 10, but would also be coming to Steam and the Perfect World launcher. Meanwhile, the action game has been released.

Happy ending is still questionable: Steam launch only received moderate interest
Whether this story, which sounds like a fairy tale, has a happy ending in the real world is questionable.
The Steam release was apparently only moderately successful: it was a rather small launch. But Motiga hopes that word will spread about what an extraordinary game Gigantic is.
For the online role-playing game Rift, the last major addon “Prophecy of Ahnket” is now available for free. At the same time, the addon has been significantly expanded with the update “Heavenly Storm”.
The large Rift addon “Prophecy of Ahnket” – previously known as Starfall Prophecy – brought a lot of new content but also some trouble for Rift. Meanwhile, the addon has been expanded with all promised features and is even getting additional content. And Prophecy of Ahnket is now free as well.

The update “Heavenly Storm” introduces the Vostigar Peaks as a new region. In it, you can expect the troops of Ahnket and Cruicia. Therefore, the new zone is also designed for level 70 and offers quests and new rifts, as well as hefty raid-level rifts.
Luckily, you will also become stronger. Four new Primalist souls will assist you in battle against your enemies. The individual new souls are as follows:
Seer: A powerful area healer
Ur-Prince – A damage dealer who summons the creatures of the wild
Predator – A stealthy fighter who deals damage in bursts when emerging from the shadows
Mystic – A supportive soul that uses the elements of life and air to empower allies
Also cool: The big Rift Summer Festival is now live. Exciting events await you where you can earn, among other things, a new housing dimension, butterfly wings, and unique weapon skins.
How do you defeat and counter the legendary Pokémon in Pokémon GO? A Geowaz is a good choice for the upcoming battles!
The legendary Pokémon are among the strongest monsters in the game. It won’t be easy to defeat or even catch these monsters. However, the community has already thought about which Pokémon counters give you the best chances against the legendary birds.
We explain here why Geowaz is such a good counter.
Arcticuno, Moltres, and Zapdos counters – What is effective?
Due to the trailer and the new downloads that are already running in the background of the new update 0.69.0, we should soon expect the legendary birds. And probably even in the rare shiny form.
In battle against these birds, you should choose a Pokémon that can take them on. Of course, you want to win and have a chance to catch it. As it turns out, Geowaz is a good choice in the fight against Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres. Its move set with Stone Edge is effective against the birds. Nick from Trainer Tips also recommends the Rock Golem:

Geowaz is a ground/rock Pokémon that has a maximum CP value of 2916 – with an attack value of 211. As a rock type, Geowaz is effective against Articuno, Moltres, and Lugia. Zapdos is not very effective against ground Pokémon, so here the type advantage is back on Geowaz’s side.
For good moves, you need Rock Slide, Stone Edge, or Rock Throw – these are strong attacks that can help you in battles against the legendary Pokémon. So if you have “leftover” stardust and are still looking for a good counter against these legendary birds, you should power up a Geowaz. Many trainers from the community are already doing this and sharing their plans on social networks.
No Geowaz in your collection? Alternatives are available here
Probably not everyone has a Geowaz that they can level up. In some places, this monster simply appears rarely. Other top attackers against the legendary monsters are Tyranitar (well, not everyone has that) and Ampharos.
But even monsters that appear more frequently can be effective depending on the opponent. Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon are good choices depending on the encounter. Dragonite can also be chosen as a good attacker.
With Ghost War, cooperative gameplay from Ghost Recon Wildlands is taken to the next level. The 4v4 PvP mode brings new adventures to familiar terrain.
You have waited long for this feature and finally the developers are presenting it. A PvP mode in Ghost Recon Wildlands! Fans of the tactical shooter from Ubisoft have only been able to complete missions cooperatively and shoot NPC enemies until now.
In the new PvP mode, you will face “real opponents”. Choose between different classes like Tank or Scout and dominate the battlefield with them.
PvP Mode in Wildlands – Free!
What a relief to finally see the official announcement of the PvP mode in Ghost Recon Wildlands. It was already clear that the mode was coming and that you would compete with four players against four other players. More details have not yet been shared by the developers. Until now!
The new trailer introduces the “Ghost War” mode, which will be available as a free update in the fall.

The new game mode “Ghost War” is supposed to take cooperative gameplay to the next level, as you now compete against other players together. A strong promise that many players are already looking forward to.
Ghost War is a deathmatch mode where two teams compete against each other. There are different classes like Tanks, Scouts, and Snipers, with which you can build your team. As always, the different classes have their advantages and disadvantages, which you should select according to your team composition and the opponents.
Locations from the main game have been chosen. These are large and offer many possibilities for tactical gameplay. The battlefields are located in mountains, deserts, forests, and other terrains that you already know from the missions. Different times of day and weather influences provide more variety.
New Features:
There is a suppression fire system that restricts your visibility when being shot at.
New sounds ensure that you can hear and acoustically locate your opponents better.
The new mode will be presented through a beta phase. You will, of course, get more details from us as soon as they are known.
Will you play the Ghost War mode in Ghost Recon Wildlands?
But the community is already on the scent of a new, hot lead. In the introduction video for Doomfist, players noticed small details that do not occur in Overwatch.
At first glance, he looks like the ordinary Soldier: 76, but user william4825 on Reddit noticed that he carries an unusual weapon. The color scheme of the weapon is different and certain parts of the gun are also not present in the live version. Many fans feel reminded of a possible flamethrower, and the “fiery” display on the side would fit well with that.
The relevant scene with the suspicious Soldier: 76 can be found at minute 3:58.

One possibility is that Blizzard is already internally testing a new hero. As usual, they don’t use the actual model yet, as it is not finished. However, it is possible that Blizzard has already completed the weapon and is using the model of Soldier: 76 to test the hero. In the past, “old” heroes have also been used as test dummies for new characters. Orisa, for example, was just a test dummy from Gothic-Zarya with Bastion’s weapon in the early phase.
This theory is further “fueled” by the fact that some time ago, voice lines were extracted that sound as if individual heroes are burning. Is a complete picture now emerging?
The weapon is not Soldiers “ordinary”.
2. Overwatch gets more weapon skins
The second possibility seems more likely, namely that Blizzard is working on a new type of cosmetic items: weapons. Small adjustments in the color scheme and design of the weapon would create an additional layer of customization and provide more variety than just the golden weapons.
Mein-MMO thinks: It is absolutely impressive what details the community notices. In a release trailer for a new hero, I would probably pay attention to everything but the color scheme of the “old” characters – especially when these only slightly differ from the actual representations. A flamethrower hero is still missing in Overwatch. This could cause damage over time while also creating dangerous terrain by, for instance, covering an area in flames. We are excited and hope that there is more than just weapon skins. We would gladly take those too if necessary.
A private server for World of Warcraft has gone live and was immediately shut down. It apparently gained too much public attention and fell into the spotlight of Blizzard.
“Private server” or “Classic Server,” say some. “Pirate server,” say others.
This refers to servers operated by private individuals without Blizzard’s consent, running older versions of World of Warcraft.
In the past, these were mostly “classic versions” (Nostalrius, Elysium) that brought back a version of WoW from 2005. This time, it revolves around a “Burning Crusade” server.
Yesterday, the major US gaming site “GameSpot” reported under the headline “Legacy Server goes live today” about the WoW private server Felmyst, which is based in the USA.
Felmyst launched after an open beta. The special thing about Felmyst: The server aimed to bring back the “Burning Crusade” feel. Everything just like in 2007.
“Cease and desist” from Blizzard arrives
However, the fun did not last long. Felmyst apparently had “too much hype.”
Such private servers violate Blizzard’s copyright, which they want to protect at all costs. If a copyright can no longer be clearly associated with a brand in public, the company’s rights to that brand weaken. At least, that’s Blizzard’s argument.
Simply put: If Coca-Cola does not ensure that no one else calls their soft drink “Coca Cola,” then soon everyone can name it that way. So companies have to protect their rights to keep them.
When such copyright violations become as public as in the case of Felmyst, the pressure on Blizzard to take action is immense.
Meanwhile, the Felmyst server is already down again. Blizzard has achieved this with a “cease and desist”. On the Felmyst website, there is a photo of this cease and desist.

The creator is devastated – the project gave meaning to his life
The person behind the project, Gummy, justifies himself for these series of events. One wonders from the outside: “He must have seen this coming. What happened?”
Gummy had felt for some time that he was drawing Blizzard’s attention with his project. Especially after what happened last year (Nostalrius), Gummy realized that things looked bad for him. However, he did not want to give up the project because he had already invested so much time.
Classic server Nostalrius, shortly before shutting down the servers.
The fans apparently wonder: “Why didn’t you leave the USA, where Blizzard has so much power, and go to a country where you can operate the server?” To this, Gummy replies that he cannot do that due to his health situation. According to his statements, Gummy suffers from muscular dystrophy, a hereditary disease that leads to muscle wasting. He cannot take care of himself.
When posed with the looming question of why he didn’t try to contain the hype, Gummy answers: “There is no middle ground. If people think the server will be too small, they ignore it completely and it becomes unplayable.”
Gummy sounds dejected in his statement. The project has given meaning to the last four years of his life.
The first rule of private servers: Don’t appear on GameSpot
Mein MMO thinks: If private servers are known in “insider circles,” discussed in small forums, and everything happens behind closed doors, then Blizzard might be able to ignore or tolerate it. However, when GameSpot, the epitome of gaming mainstream, reports on it, that is no longer the case.
Many fans of private servers want to share their luck with everyone, talk about it in forums, and ask for articles on the topic on gaming sites: By doing so, they are not doing the servers any favors.
Perhaps private server communities should take a cue from the rules of the Fight Club: “You don’t talk about it.”
A similar drama unfolded in 2016 around a classic server:
Shiny variants of the legendary Pokémon will be downloaded with the latest Pokémon GO update. Surprising news for Pokémon trainers!
Trainers in Pokémon GO are preparing for the first legendary Pokémon that might be released in a few hours. To do this, players around the world need to collaborate, catch many Pokémon, and complete a task. Subsequently, the first legendary monsters will be activated in the game.
As a special feature, you can expect shiny variants of the legendary birds. This is at least indicated by a secret download in the latest update.
Shiny Lugia, -Zapdos, -Articuno, and -Moltres
As reported by PokémonGOHub, the latest Pokémon GO update “0.69.0” performs special downloads in the background. Five new icons are being downloaded:
Normal and Shiny Lugia
Shiny Articuno
Shiny Zapdos
Shiny Moltres
The only other shiny icon being downloaded from Pokémon GO is that of Shiny Magikarp.Due to these downloads, it is assumed that the legendary Pokémon can also be caught as shiny variants.
Furthermore, it is assumed that the mentioned Kanto birds and Lugia are the first legendary Pokémon that you can catch in Pokémon GO. Here are what the downloaded icons look like:
Keep in mind that you cannot yet see these icons in the game itself. They are currently only present in encrypted form in the data of Pokémon GO. In the following image, you can see the difference between the normal and shiny variant of the legendary Pokémon.
How do you catch the legendary Pokémon?
Today marks the start of the Pokémon GO Fest in Chicago, presenting tasks for trainers on-site and around the world. If you manage to catch enough Pokémon, the first legendary Pokémon will be available to find in Chicago. If the trainers there succeed in defeating this Pokémon, these special monsters will subsequently appear all over the world.
Anyone who wishes to follow the spectacle live can do so starting from the official launch via a Twitch stream specially set up for this purpose. Here you can find the live stream of Pokémon GO

In Destiny 2 there will be some new features in PvP compared to the current Crucible. These are the changes.
At the center of the gameplay premiere and the following flood of information about Destiny 2 was primarily the PvE area of the upcoming MMO shooter: The first story mission was shown, there were insights into the new worlds, and there was a discussion about content that is best played together in a group. But what about PvP – the fight “Guardian vs. Guardian”?
First: There is some sobering news for PvP fans:
There will be no dedicated servers (priority in matchmaking should be even more focused on connection quality)
and on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X (on all consoles) it is capped at 30 FPS. Many PvP enthusiasts would have preferred 60 FPS.
From 6v6 to 4v4 – PvP in Destiny 2
As game director Luke Smith announced, all game modes in the Crucible will be played in 4v4 format. In Destiny 1, many standard activities run in 6v6 format. Here, the number of players in Destiny 2 is reduced. Trials will also be played in 4v4 mode (this will increase the number of players). There are plans for “cool stuff” regarding the Trials, but that will be discussed later. The Trials will definitely come well ahead of the “Osiris DLC”.
By the way, there will be no private matches at launch, but these are planned for the future.
Countdown in Midtown – New PvP mode, new map
A new PvP mode is known: Countdown. In this mode, there are two teams of four players each, alternating between offensive and defensive actions. Roles are swapped after each round.
The goal of the offensive round is to place a bomb in the enemy bases. The defenders try to prevent this. Once the bomb is placed, it must be protected until it explodes. In each round, a point can be earned. The team that reaches six points first wins. However, a round can also be won by completely defeating all opponents.
To revive a teammate, a revive token must be used. The number of these is limited. Only the player who opens the ammo box receives power ammo (the ammo for the power slot, more info here), while others go empty. Power ammo spawns at regular intervals. It will be displayed which Guardian picks it up and for which weapon.
Here you see gameplay of Countdown on a new map:

The new map is called “Midtown” – in German “Innenstadt”. It is a deserted area of the last city. When the Cabal Legion took over the city, they ignored “Midtown” as this sector was not of tactical importance. Therefore, it is now used as a Crucible map.
Control in Destiny 2
The second PvP mode in Destiny 2 that is known so far is “Control”. This mode already existed in Destiny 1, but it receives updates in the sequel:
It is played in 4v4 (instead of the previous 6v6)
At the start of a control match, zones A and C are already occupied by the respective teams.
You no longer need to neutralize the zones when the opponent has them. You can capture them directly. It is sufficient for one player to stand in the zone. It does not go faster if multiple players are in it.
The flag at the control point becomes transparent when you approach it.
If you kill an opponent, you get one point. If you have two zones captured, you get two points. And if you hold all three zones, you get three points per kill. The player with 75 points wins.
Along with the new Control, a new PvP map was introduced: Endless Vale. This is a map set on the asteroid Nessus. Additionally, we already know of a PvP map on the Felwinter Peak.
Survival in Destiny 2
Furthermore, there is a new mode called “Survival”. Your team has a limited number of lives, there is no reviving by teammates and coordinated team play is important. Once all lives are spent, a round ends.
Destiny 2 divides the PvP
In Destiny 2 there are two playlists: Quickplay and Competitive Play.
In these playlists, various modes are available:
Quickplay: In this “Quick Play” playlist, there are several “party games”. These are the standard PvP modes Control, Clash, and Supremacy. Here, “casuals” can have fun playing a few nice rounds of PvP.
Competitive Play: In this playlist, there are two objective-based modes. One is Countdown and the other is Survival. Team play is particularly important here. Hardcore PvP players are targeted in this playlist.
What is the player experience in Destiny 2’s PvP?
The Guardians feel slower and heavier than in Destiny 1. The pace is reduced as a result.
Additionally, weapons deal less damage. For example, hand cannons: You now have to fire one or two more shots to defeat an opponent.
“Sticky Grenades” still exist, but they are not enough to directly eliminate a Guardian at full health. Supers remain “one-shots”. However, abilities are rarer than in Destiny 1.
Interestingly: Energy weapons deal more damage to opponents with active Supers. For instance, if the opponent activates their Dawnblade, you deal more damage with a weapon that has elemental damage (and with grenades and melee). The sounds in PvP are also adjusted: For better orientation, you can hear the footsteps of enemies (footstep sounds) or distinguish whether an ally or an enemy activates a Super.
Callouts: The names of the areas in a PvP map are displayed. This allows easier communication within the team about your location.

A cosplay amazes the fans. It’s hard to hit the Overwatch villain Doomfist better!
Due to the colorful characters of Overwatch, the game has not only built up a large fan base, but also brings forth a lot of artwork. Among the most impressive works are the cosplayers who embody the characters themselves.
In time for the upcoming ComicCon, Blizzard commissioned a cosplay of Doomfist – the next hero from Overwatch.
And the finished work is certainly impressive! In a short video by mineralblu, the striking costume is showcased. The only detail that might not be accurate is the punching power of the fist. But that’s surely just a matter of time.

Destiny 2 is coming closer. What should players know who have never played Destiny before and want to get started now? Here is our compact beginner guide with important information and tips from experienced Guardians.
On September 6, 2017, Destiny 2 was released on PS4 and Xbox One. From October 24, PC players can also dive into the once console-exclusive Destiny universe for the first time. Bungie and Activision want to target an even broader market with Destiny 2.
This means there will soon be quite a few new Guardians. To ensure that beginners – or anyone who hasn’t played Destiny for a while – can make a successful start in Destiny 2, we have everything you need to know!
Destiny is – like its sequel Destiny 2 – an MMO shooter. Specifically, this means: you fight in first-person perspective against a variety of enemies in PvE and PvP, with the online aspect, loot and progress playing an important role. Your character becomes stronger by engaging in activities that reward you with loot.
The developers at Bungie continuously take care of the game and regularly release updates, hotfixes, expansions, and sequels. Destiny 2 is the first sequel to Destiny in three years.
Destiny 2 represents a fresh start. The developers want to provide all new players with a barrier-free entry into the Destiny universe. The new villain takes away the heroes in Destiny – the Guardians – their power, weapons, and abilities. Every player, whether a newbie or a long-time veteran, starts fresh. You need to find new weapons and armor pieces, learn new abilities, and evolve back into a powerful Guardian.
What do I need to know about the story?
Although the story in Destiny 1 was one of the biggest points of criticism, as it was incoherent and confusing, quite a bit has happened in Destiny over the last three years. You can find a detailed summary of the Destiny story here. Here is the short version:
Destiny takes place in a fictional future, in a science-fiction setting at a time after the “Collapse”. The Collapse marks the end of the Golden Age.
The Golden Age, regarded as the peak of humanity (alien planets were colonized, there was rapid technological progress), was initiated with the arrival of the Traveler.
The Traveler is the mysterious, massive sphere that hovers over the last city of humanity. Very little is known about the Traveler.
The Traveler
“The Light of the Traveler” is the power through which you – the Guardians – gain your abilities. Through this light, you can be revived.
Your Ghost is responsible for this revival. Your Ghost is the talking, floating sphere that is always by your side and accompanies you in all activities. Ghosts were created by the Traveler.
Your Ghost
At the beginning of Destiny 2, the Light of the Traveler – and thus your Ghost – is taken from you. You must find both again.
In Destiny 1, the Guardians were able to hold back numerous dangers thanks to the Light of the Traveler. They fought on Earth, the Moon, Venus, Mars, and on a grave ship near Saturn.
In short: All dangers could be averted in Destiny 1 with the help of the light that the Guardians used.
Who or what do I actually fight in Destiny 2? – The Enemies
In Destiny, there are various alien races that are hostile towards you. These include:
The Fallen
The Hive
The Vex
The Cabal
and the Taken, which are special variants of the previous races.
In Destiny 2, all enemy races will encounter you. However, the focus is on the Cabal:
The Cabal are the largest known military force in the universe, and they show their true strength in Destiny 2 for the first time. The Red Legion, an elite unit of the Cabal, comes to Earth with their leader Ghaul. They are heavily armored, heavily armed, and weigh hundreds of kilograms.
In the first story mission, you see the arrival of the Red Legion on Earth. Ghaul believes that the power of the Traveler rightfully belongs to him. He aims to prove this by annihilating humanity.
To stop the Guardians – the “superheroes” in the Destiny universe – he shields the Traveler with a massive barrier. At the end of the first story mission, the Guardians lose their power. Things look grim for the Guardians and humanity. Therefore, the motto under which Destiny 2 stands is: “Welcome to a world without light.”
This results in the main campaign unfolding in such a way that you must search for new ways to regain strength, to recover your power, and to defeat Ghaul.
Ghaul
Who am I in Destiny 2? – Guardian Classes and Subclasses
In Destiny 2, you are the Guardians – the protectors of the last city and humanity, chosen by the Traveler and endowed with special abilities through its Light.
In Destiny 2, you can create your own Guardian or take over the Guardians from Destiny 1. There are three Guardian classes to choose from:
Titan: This class is aggressive in attacks and resilient in defense.
Hunter: This class focuses on agility.
Warlock: These are the “scholars of Light” who use energies to heal themselves or empower their weapons.
A Titan
Each of these classes has three subclasses, the “focuses”. Each subclass has its own abilities.
The Guardians enter battle with various weapons, armor pieces, and abilities. As abilities, the Guardian uses a grenade, a melee attack, a class ability, and a super (a devastating attack). All abilities have cooldowns and cannot be used continuously.
There are many different types of weapons. They are classified into three categories:
Kinetic Weapons – These are the standard weapons.
Energy Weapons – These weapons have various elemental damages (Arc, Solar, or Void). They are strong against enemy shields.
Power Weapons – The powerful weapons that deal significant damage.
The power of your Guardian is indicated by its level and its power level:
You increase this power by finding and equipping better weapons and armor. The higher the power, the more damage you deal and the more damage you can withstand.
Story Missions (can be played solo or in a fireteam with up to 2 other Guardians)
Strikes: 3-player group activities where you defeat many enemies and there is always a big boss waiting at the end.
Raid: 6-player group activity, which is the most challenging and intense PvE activity. There are huge bosses, jumping sections, and team mechanics.
Open World: In Destiny 2, there are four different worlds and each of them has an open game world. Here you will find public events, dungeons, side missions, and additional game content.
The PvP area of Destiny is called the Crucible. Here, the Guardians “train” in various modes and on various maps. Fans of PvP will get their fill here.

Season 11 in Diablo 3 has started! To let you know which builds are trending, our overview provides you with the best Builds and best classes for Season 11. With a tier list.
A new season in Diablo means that everything is reset to zero. At the same time, you have the chance to secure a place in the upper ranks with your character, where only the best players can succeed.
Even though Season 11 is not affected by balance patches, new builds and strategies have emerged. As a result, the ranking of the strongest builds and classes in Diablo 3 regularly changes. For the current Season 11, we show you the strongest builds and classes here, with which you have the best chances in Greater Nephalem Rifts (English: Greater Rifts).
In particular, the Necromancer has a great influence on the new season and has catapulted himself directly to the top of the list with the Trag’ouls Corpse Lance Build. Since this build is very strong, the remaining tiers have been thoroughly shaken up to visually highlight the gap to the Necromancer.
What is the Tier List of Builds and Classes based on?
The tier list we present to you has been created by Diablo 3 expert Rhykker. It is based on data he analyzed from the NA, EU, Asia, PTR, season, and non-season leaderboards. Some builds and classes stood out as significantly stronger than others.
It is important to note that no combination of class and build in this tier list is “bad”.
Here it is about comparing which combination can complete higher Greater Nephalem Rifts. There is a difference of 15 Greater Rift levels between “Tier F” and “Tier S”. This does not mean that builds from the F-tier should not be played, but that they are the “worst of the best builds”.
All these combinations of skills and equipment (builds) can easily reach level 70 in the Greater Rift solo and thereby unlock the archetypal items that can significantly improve your equipment. To keep this list from becoming endlessly long, some builds that may fall just short of the F-tier are not listed.
Order:
S-Tier: The best solo GR builds – Considered by many to be OP builds in Diablo 3
A-Tier: Five GR levels behind S-Tier
B-Tier: Seven GR levels behind S-Tier
C-Tier: Ten GR levels behind S-Tier
D-Tier: Twelve GR levels behind S-Tier
F-Tier: 15 GR levels behind S-Tier
Note: You will often find the term “LoN” in the tier list. LoN stands for Legacy of Nightmare – This is the English name of the set bonus Legacy of Nightmares. This set bonus applies to the rings The Wailing Host and Litany of the Unhaunted. “As long as this is your only set bonus, every ancient item equipped increases your damage by 100% and reduces your damage taken by 4%.”
F-Tier Builds – Diablo 3 Season 11
Inna / Uliana Monk: The Uliana build in combination with pieces of the Inna set from the monk is still strong, but can no longer compete with the other sets of this class. If you only have the mix of Inna and Uliana set, you can play well with it, but you are better off with other sets like SunWuko. Here’s the Inna / Uliana build from D3 Planner.
LoN-Thorns Barbarian: The LoN builds are particularly hard to farm because you need the right ancient items with optimal stats. If this LoN build is not stronger than other builds where you don’t have to farm these optimal ancient items, it’s not worth the effort. While the mentioned build doesn’t deal significantly less damage, it is much harder to assemble and therefore landed in the F-Tier. Here’s the LoN-Thorns build on D3 Planner.
Invoker-Thorns Crusader: With this build, you come one step closer to the LoN-Thorns Crusader. The Invoker-Thorns build is not bad, but is overshadowed by the top builds. Compared to Season 10, this build has dropped one tier lower. Here’s the Invoker-Thorns build on D3 Planner.
Leapquake Barbarian: This build was ranked in Tier D in the last season. Unfortunately, it has dropped a level again for Season 11. It is among the strongest Barbarian builds, all of which are in the lower tiers (Sorry, dear Barbar friends). Here’s the Leapquake build from D3 Planner.
Jade Witch Doctor: Due to changes in monster density in Greater Rifts activated in an earlier patch, this build received an indirect buff. However, it still falls behind the Fire Bat build and even drops to Tier F in Season 11. Here’s the Jade build on D3 Planner.
Helltooth Gigantoid Witch Doctor: The Helltooth Gigantoid Doctor was once the strongest version of this class in earlier versions of the game. The increased monster density has allowed other builds to benefit significantly, which is why this one is only in the F-Tier (dropping from D-Tier in Season 11). Here’s the Helltooth Gigantoid build from D3 Planner.
Charge Barbarian: The Barbarian build that combines the Raekor and Immortal King set has long been one of the strongest. For Season 11, this build even drops to F-Tier. Here’s the Charge build on D3 Planner.
Inarius Necromancer: Three weeks ago, this build would have landed at least in A-Tier. Blizzard has since massively nerfed the proc rate of this build with the legendary gem Mirinae. Now the Inarius set ranks in F-Tier. Here’s the Inarius build of the Necromancer on D3 Planner.
D-Tier Builds – Diablo 3 Season 11
SunWuko Monk: This build is a weaker alternative to the LoN Monk that you can use to farm the items for the LoN LTK Monk. Parts of the equipment are used in both builds, shortening the time needed for farming. There are several play styles for the SunWuko set, such as the Wave of Light build with advantages for speedruns. The set is thus not “bad”, but is overshadowed by other sets when it comes to clearing Greater Rifts. Here’s the SunWuko build from D3 Planner.
Marauder Grenade Demon Hunter: The buff to the Marauder set before Season 10 made this build one of the strongest for the DH. At the start of Season 10, this build is downgraded to D-Tier. The Marauder Grenade build is detailed here on D3 Planner.
LoN-LTK Monk: A strong build for Monk fans, but it remains average and has even experienced a downgrade with Season 11. The reason is the LoN version, which allows for the farming of equipment only with a lot of time investment. Here’s the LTK build with LoN on D3 Planner.
Shadow Impale Demon Hunter: Compared to Season 10, this build has been corrected down by one tier. You can use this build in a group if you are deployed as DD as a Rift Guardian killer. Advantages include mobility and high toughness, allowing you to navigate through monster groups without dying like a glass cannon from every hit. The Shadow Impale build is shown here on D3 Planner.
Fire Bat Witch Doctor: With this build, you have two options with different advantages: The Helltooth variant gives you more toughness, and the Arachyr variant gives you more damage. You use Arachyr for group play (Your allies keep you alive). Here’s the Fire Bat build on D3 Planner once for the Helltooth- and the Arachyr variant.
C-Tier Builds in Diablo 3 Season 11
Roland’s Crusader: In Patch 2.5.0, the Roland set received a buff and thus a damage boost. Therefore, this build is better than the Invoker. With Season 11, this setup even rises one tier to C-Tier. But as already mentioned: The Crusader has significantly better builds that this cannot keep up with. Here’s Roland’s build with Sweep Attack on D3 Planner.
Whirlwind Barbarian: This is currently the strongest build of the Barbarian class. That it is in C-Tier does not necessarily speak well for the Barbarians. This class could certainly use more love from the developers. Nevertheless, the Whirlwind benefits significantly from the increased monster density. D3 Planner has the build from the Whirlwind Barbarian.
LoN-Daggers Demon Hunter: For a long time, this build was one of the best for the Demon Hunter. As already mentioned, it is difficult to farm your equipment for a LoN build. However, once you have the items in your inventory, you can unlock the full power. Here’s the LoN-Daggers build on D3 Planner.
LoN Bombardment Crusader: This thorns build was for some time the best Crusader build in Diablo 3. For Season 11, it drops to C-Tier. As a LoN build, it is again difficult to get the required gear until you can effectively use the combination. D3 Planner has build for you.
Thorns Pet Necromancer: The Necromancer ranks with two builds in Tier C. This build is played with the Trag’Ouls set and Land of the Dead. However, there is a significantly stronger variant with the Trag’Ouls set. The Thorns Pet build for the Necromancer can be found here.
Rathma Necromancer: The Rathma set for the Necromancer aims to be out and about with as many skeleton minions and mages as possible. The set has recently received a buff and improved significantly. You can find the Rathma build at D3 Planner.
B-Tier Builds in Diablo 3 Season 11
Inna’s EP Monk: The Inna set was buffed in Patch 2.5.0 and now deals 25% more damage than before. Because of this buff, the build was promoted from D-Tier to C-Tier. With Season 11, this build has even risen to B-Tier. The set is used as the basis for many good solo builds and needed for the role of support monk in the group. Here’s the Inna EP build on D3 Planner.
Unholy Essence with Grenade Demon Hunter: The grenade build with the UE set is the best build of the Demon Hunter. It has long been considered one of the best speed farm combinations for the Demon Hunter and has also become relevant for Greater Rifts with the addition of the grenades. Nothing has changed in the new season regarding that. The UE Grenade build is detailed here.
Firebird Archon Wizard: The wizard with the Firebird set has been at the top of the leaderboard for several patches now. You can quickly implement this build and complete the high Greater Rifts. You can find a variant of the Firebird build here on D3 Planner.
A-Tier Builds in Diablo 3 Season 11
Raiment Duo-Gen Monk: This setup is the best monk build in Diablo 3. The generator builds of the monk have been strong for some time, but the duo version is even stronger. It works a little better with the second spirit generator than the simple gen build and is thus a few GR levels ahead of the Inna Gen build. You can find the basic setup of the Raiment-Gen Monk here on D3 Planner.
Hammerdin Crusader: The “Hammerdin” is the best build for the Crusader class. With this equipment and skill setup, you have a high damage output that can get you into the top placements of the leaderboard. D3 Planner also offers you a good overview here.
LoN Spirit Barrage Witch Doctor: A new combination that has only developed in the last few months. This build is the best for the Witch Doctor and is excellent for clearing groups of large enemies. You can find details about this build at D3 Planner.
Lightning Archon Wizard: As an Archon wizard with lightning damage, you have combined the best wizard build with the second best solo build of Diablo 3 for Season 11. You can find details about this build at D3 Planner.
S-Tier Builds in Diablo 3 Season 11 – The best build for Greater Rifts
Corpse Lance Necromancer: The basis for this build is the Trag’Ouls set. In combination with the skill Alternate and Corpse Lance, the Necromancer represents the currently best solo build of Diablo 3. You can see how the skill setup looks in detail at D3 Planner.
Which class will you tackle the new season with? Let us know in the comments!
The early access version of Dark and Light has launched – but there are positive and negative sides.
Dark and Light could be compared to Conan Exiles. It is a sandbox where survival is the top priority. There aren’t great quests. You will be thrown into a specific location in the vast game world based on your chosen race and start exploring and surviving. Food plays a significant role. So you must always pay attention to eating.
Conan Exiles sends its regards
Mining resources with bare hands or tools, or even with magic, is a core element of the MMO. From these resources, you create new, more effective tools, weapons, armors, and materials for building.
If you’re thinking of Conan Exiles, you’re actually spot on. Dark and Light plays almost like Funcom’s online survival game. The further you level up, the more recipes for new objects you unlock, becoming more powerful over time with better equipment and higher attributes.
Over time, you can also build your own house as a retreat and even create entire castles or cities together with other players. An interesting aspect is that you can tame all monsters in the world and use them as companions and sometimes as mounts. The magic system is also exciting. You cast spells using wands that you need to charge with spells, and you must unlock the spells just like all craftable objects in the game.
Online or alone – you decide
Unlike Conan Exiles, you are not in a desert oasis, but in a large fantasy world populated by NPCs – and by other players if you play in online mode.
Just like Conan Exiles, it is also possible to play alone in a single-player mode or set up your own server where you determine the rules – including whether PvP is possible and how long respawn times last. On official servers, you choose between PvE or PvP. However, only about 100 players are allowed per server, which does not make Dark and Light a classic MMORPG.
The current rating of the game on Steam is mostly negative. Players criticize mainly the performance of the game, the many lags, incomprehensible game instructions, and bugs.
The general consensus is that Dark and Light is not yet in an acceptable state even for an early access game. Even on powerful PCs, the performance does not exceed 30 fps. Crashes occur frequently, graphical errors arise, and loading times can be very long. However, the developers are already working hard to improve Dark and Light.
The positive voices, even if there are currently a few, state that it is still an early access game and not significantly different or worse than Conan Exiles.
Have you had the chance to play Dark and Light? What is your opinion on the survival MMO?

Is Soldier: 76 actually an old villain from Talon? A strange hint is causing excitement among Overwatch fans.
The story of Overwatch is rich, and the different tales of heroes and villains are tightly intertwined. However, Blizzard has not really shed light on the individual connections. Time and again, we only get small details from a hero’s past. Creating a big overall picture is quite difficult.
And yet, there are a handful of details that particularly ambitious fans notice. On Reddit, user SirlickalotX compared the statements of two characters from different comics. He stumbled upon an interesting find. In the comic “Old Soldiers,” Soldier: 76 casually mentions:
“My old boss always said that there is no such thing as luck. Just good genes.” And in the latest comic “Masquerade,” we can observe the shady omnic Maximilien, who holds a leadership position in the criminal organization Talon. He says in a dialogue:
“You know that there is no such thing as luck.”
Both comics were written by Michael Chu, who is primarily responsible for the story of Overwatch and the heroes.
Some players believe that the phrasing is merely an unintended coincidence. Other fans argue that this “would be a coincidence in the real world. However, this is a narrated fictional story, and Blizzard has shown in the past that 99% of our random finds actually had a connection.” If that is true, Soldier: 76 could have quite a dark past and might have used his genetic enhancements to do plenty of evil things.
What do you think? Is it possible that Soldier: 76 has known the Talon leader Maximilien for a long time? Did he even fund Overwatch?
The beta for Destiny 2 has begun. In addition to various legendary weapons, Bungie lets us play with three exotic guns. Find out here what the weapons can do and how to get them.
When you start the (open) beta, you will quickly notice that you are not at level 1 and that there is already a vast arsenal of weapons in your inventory to try out. However, they are all of legendary quality.
To gain access to the exotic weapons, you need to complete a specific part of the first story mission: gain access to the armory.
Inside, there is an exotic weapon. Which one you get depends on the class you chose at the start. You will receive the following weapons:
Titans receive the exotic auto rifle Sweet Business
Warlocks get to enjoy the submachine gun Riskrunner and
Hunters can try out the exotic hand cannon Sunshot.
Shaxx opens the door to the armory for you
You can equip the weapons immediately and get started. It is notable that each perk is fixed. With the legendary weapons available in the beta, the sight and another perk can be chosen freely. These options are not available for the exotic ones. Whether Bungie will change this during further development remains to be seen.
The auto rifle Sweet Business
The auto rifle comes with a magazine of 99 rounds and a rate of fire of 300 rounds per minute. Since the weapon is equipped in the kinetic slot, it has no elemental damage. According to the description of the exotic perk Payday, Sweet Business has a larger magazine than other representatives of this weapon type and improved accuracy when firing from the hip.
The Polygonal Rifling is noted as a barrel optimized for recoil reduction. Stability is also increased. Furthermore, the weapon has High-Caliber Rounds, which push your opponents back more and slightly increase range. This perk is already known from Destiny 1.
According to the weapon trait “Let’s get down to business”, we get bonuses on range and rate of fire when we hold down the trigger. Additionally, ammo pickups are automatically loaded into the magazine.
The stock slightly increases stability and decreases the time it takes to ready the weapon.
The firing behavior is reminiscent of the exotic machine gun Thunderlord, especially when holding down the trigger for longer. Whether the exotic perk of the weapon is actually worth the only exotic slot is something everyone must decide for themselves – although we have had similar thoughts in the distant past about a certain rocket launcher.
For larger groups of enemies that regularly drop ammo, this weapon can be very effective. The high-caliber rounds ensure that foes are pushed back, and due to the increased rate of fire, they go down faster and ammo pickups are directly loaded into the magazine. John Rambo would have certainly appreciated this weapon.
The submachine gun Riskrunner
The exotic representative of the new weapon class of submachine guns offers a magazine of 40 rounds with a rate of fire of 900 rounds per minute. The submachine guns are comparable to the fast-firing auto rifles from Destiny 1 like Doctrine of Passing or Arminius-D.
The exotic perk “Arc Conductor” causes this weapon to become stronger when taking incoming Arc damage. Additionally, you lose less health when taking further Arc damage. Kills extend this effect further.
The barrel is called Arrowhead Brake and is designed to significantly reduce recoil and increase weapon readiness speed. The enlarged magazine, surprise surprise, provides you with a larger magazine, but the reload time increases significantly as a result.
The description of the Achieved Grip states that this weapon is particularly easy to hold and the weapon readiness speed is increased.
The weapon trait “Super Conductor” grants the chance to cause fired shots to chain lightning and return ammo to the magazine as long as the ability “Arc Conductor” is active.
With these perks, you hold the little brother of ZhaloSupercell in your hands. Unfortunately, the weapon only becomes truly interesting when you take Arc damage; this restriction is not present with the Zhalo Supercell. The weapon is also not nearly as stable as the representative from Destiny 1, and unfortunately, the range cannot compete either.
If you want to explore the true potential of the weapon, play the strike The Corrupted Vex up to the last part of the final boss fight. Stand in the white stuff at the edge of the arena (the Vex Milk), set up a healing rift (with the Warlock), and start shooting. The Vex Milk continuously causes Arc damage, which is absorbed by your rift and triggers the exotic perk of the weapon. Now you can shoot nearly indefinitely at enemies (as long as you hit anything).
The hand cannon Sunshot
The hand cannon Sunshot comes with 8 rounds in the magazine and a rate of fire of 150 rounds per minute. The exotic perk is called Sunburn and causes you to fire explosive rounds and mark hit targets.
The barrel of the weapon increases its stability and corrects the direction of recoil at the cost of weapon readiness speed. The magazine increases your range, while the grip of the weapon significantly improves weapon readiness speed and reduces stability.
The weapon trait is called Solar Explosion and causes killed enemies to explode with Solar energy.
Anyone thinking of the Fatebringer with these properties is not entirely wrong. Explosive rounds and fireball are present; only the element has changed. Sunshot plays its great strength out against groups of enemies, as the explosions damage surrounding foes.
Which exotic weapon is your favorite so far? Let us know in the comments!

Pokémon GO finally gets legendary Pokémon! On Saturday, they will arrive along with the GO Fest in Chicago and spread from there around the world. But you will have to work together to catch the legendary birds or dogs.
For a long time, trainers speculated what the reward of the big GO Fest in Chicago could be. Niantic has now officially confirmed that the rewards are legendary Pokémon!
This announcement came as no big surprise, as just recently, the announcement of legendary Pokémon for summer 2017 was made. In Niantic’s trailer, it was already hinted that you can only catch the legendary with teamwork.
https://youtu.be/yLaz7WBk2g4
Pokémon GO: Legendary Pokémon – When and how can I catch them?
The GO Fest in Chicago will be the starting shot for the legendary hunt! Although it is a local event in America, trainers all over the world will have to work together to unlock the legendary Pokémon.
When will legendary Pokémon be in Pokémon GO?
The GO Fest starts tomorrow on Saturday, July 22, 2017, in Grant Park, Chicago. Here, the first legendary Pokémon will appear, provided all trainers around the world work together and unlock the reward.
Night shift in Germany
The time windows when you should catch particularly many Pokémon in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland are on Saturday:
6:00 PM to 6:30 PM
8:00 PM to 8:30 PM
10:00 PM to 10:30 PM
These were the three windows for players outside of Chicago.
The most important window is on the night of Saturday to Sunday: 1:00 – 2:00 AM. But we can only keep our fingers crossed. The trainers in Chicago are working to unlock the first legendary Pokémon.
The legendary Pokémon worldwide will become available, if all goes well, on Sunday and Monday US time, probably from Sunday afternoon to early Tuesday our time. We will surely report on this again on Mein MMO.
How can legendary Pokémon be caught?
On July 22, 2017, trainers worldwide will work together to unlock the legendary reward
During the event, there will be three time windows in which you have to catch as many Pokémon as possible within 30 minutes. This will earn you bonuses like Stardust and XP, and it will also help unlock the first legendary Pokémon.
If trainers all over the world catch particularly many Pokémon in the three time windows, the medals Bronze, Silver, and Gold will be unlocked
Upon reaching the gold medal, the first legendary Pokémon will appear in Chicago at the GO Fest
If the trainers manage to defeat the legendary Pokémon in Chicago, the legendary ones will appear worldwide in Raid battles.
If an egg appears above a raid arena, you will find a legendary Pokémon there.
As soon as a dark, rare egg appears above an arena, there is a legendary Pokémon.
If you manage to defeat the legendary raid boss with your team, you will have the chance to catch the legendary Pokémon.
Legendary Pokémon can be used for battling in an arena. However, you cannot leave them as defenders in an arena. Legendary Pokémon prefer to be with you.
You must be at least level 15 to participate in a raid.
It is not yet known which legendary Pokémon will come to Pokémon GO. In the trailer, we mainly see legendary birds like Lugia and Zapdos.
