Bungie has released details about the regions where you can explore in Destiny 2. The game will utilize Blizzard’s Global Play – and thus regional restrictions.
Bungie announces new details regarding the Open Beta of Destiny 2 on PC. It has been revealed how the region system will work in Destiny 2.
Since Destiny 2 will run not through Steam but via Blizzard’s Battle.net client, the Global Play feature of Blizzard will also be utilized.
Region Lock in Destiny 2
This Global Play feature is also applied in other Blizzard games like Overwatch or Hearthstone. Players are given the option to select a region in which they want to play.
Consequently, this also means that you can only play with players from the same region. Fortunately, the regions are quite broadly defined:
America: For players in North America, Latin America, South America, Australia, and New Zealand
Europe: For players in the European Union, Eastern Europe, Russia, Africa, and the Middle East
Asia: For players in South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau
When you start Destiny 2 via the Blizzard desktop application, you will be prompted to select a region. If you do not actively select a region, the default settings of your Blizzard account will be applied.
How to Change Your Region Settings
If you want to change the region in which you play, you can do so easily. Just close Destiny 2 and visit the Destiny 2 homepage in your Blizzard desktop application. Via a dropdown menu located above the “Play” button, you can select your preferred region. In the PC beta of Destiny 2, Europe and America are available options.
Robert says: Friends you are connected with will not appear in the game if they belong to a different region. This “feature” may cause confusion, especially for international clans that span multiple regions, even though this practice is already known from previous Blizzard games.
As the player base diminishes over time, some players may be forced to change their settings depending on their region in order to find enough players for group activities.

The Half-Giant Makes an Impact
A Half-Giant is extremely strong and resilient, which grants him a bonus to the Strength and Constitution attributes. The passive Bloodline ability is very interesting. Raids have been in Pokémon GO since July 2017. Since then, players have noticed some bugs that make Raids unfair and raiding frustrating. Niantic has confirmed a few of these bugs.
Catching Raid Bosses works differently than catching regular Pokémon. They are captured using special Premier Balls that can only be obtained during the Raid. The Raid Bosses and legendary Pokémon can only be caught using the Premier Balls!
The number of Premier Balls a trainer receives after a Raid battle depends on various statistics, such as the damage dealt by an individual trainer or the average damage of their team.
Those who receive only a small number of Premier Balls already have it hard to catch the extremely strong Raid Bosses. Hence, the following bugs are a real nuisance for many trainers.
The Last Ball Bug: It is impossible to catch legendary Pokémon with the last Premier Ball. Thus, trainers have one ball less than they should. Niantic has officially confirmed this bug and has given trainers an extra ball for raiding since August 7. However, all trainers who participated in Raids before that were negatively affected.
The Curveball Bug: If a trainer throws a Pokéball with a slight spin, they use the Curveball function. The ball flies in a semicircle towards the Pokémon and increases the catch rate.For unknown reasons, the game does not register every Curveball and the bonus fails to apply.
The Team Control Bonus Bug: If their team controls the Raid arena, trainers should receive two extra balls after the battle. Niantic once stated in its customer service that this bonus is supposed to work differently. Only the trainers who have Pokémon defending in the Raid arena are actually supposed to receive the bonus. Sometimes trainers receive the bonus even if they have no Pokémon in the arena. Sometimes trainers with Pokémon in the arena receive the bonus.
The Dodging Bug: If a Pokémon dodges an attack, it receives 75 percent less damage. However, the bug causes Pokémon to receive full damage, even if they successfully dodged. Especially the legendary Pokémon have attacks that can almost knock out a Pokémon in one hit. This makes it difficult for Pokémon to remain long enough in the Raid battle to earn bonus balls through extra damage.
Trainers need Raid Passes – one is free per day, the rest costs
These problems become particularly annoying when money is involved. Pokémon GO is free and mainly financed through premium sales in the in-game shop.
Those who want to participate in a Raid need a Raid Pass. Trainers can receive one Raid Pass for free once a day in an arena. There are also Premium Raid Passes. These are purchased in the in-game shop for 100 Pokécoins.
The standard and premium Raid Pass allow trainers to participate exactly once in a Raid.
Especially for the legendary Raids, trainers have spent a lot of money on premium passes – now the community is frustrated due to the bugs.
Niantic recently announced that Mewtwo will be catchable in an exclusive Raid will be available. Trainers must be invited to exclusive Raids. The invitation is only received if they have had a “recent” Raid in the arena where Mewtwo appears.

We took a look at Patch 7.3 of WoW and give a first conclusion. Is it worth taking another look at the MMORPG?
The latest update for World of Warcraft has been active since this morning (August 30th). We dove deep into Argus late at night to avoid the main rush and get an initial look at the story and gameplay of Patch 7.3 Shadows of Argus.
Argus delivers exactly what older patches, like 7.2, promised and has combined it with the great elements of a Timeless Isle and other “Island Patches” – all garnished with story.
Numerous (sometimes hidden) rare mobs
Regular equipment tokens that can also be sent to twinks
A vendor for strange items (like on the Isle of Giants)
A manageable number of world quests (enough to do but not overwhelming)
There are plenty of new quests. These are, unlike the mind-numbingly boring campaign of the Legion judges, full of cool story twists. For example, there are major revelations about the Naaru. While there are also the typical “Kill 10 of these and collect 5 of those” quests, they at least have an interesting framework and are almost always rewarded with a few spoken lines of dialogue, where you see the various characters in action.
Especially cool is the Soulstone, which is sometimes left behind by rare enemies. This increases reputation with all Legion factions by 1000 points. This not only helps to quickly gain reputation with the Army of the Light but also brings us 10% closer to each Paragon reward!
More SciFi than classic Fantasy
I’m still looking for things that disturb me, but that’s nitpicking at a high level. It’s quite possible that the whole “Draenei technology” might not appeal to some players, as the storyline sometimes leans more into the SciFi realm than into a classic fantasy MMORPG. I definitely did not let that deter me, and my first impression is clear: Shadows of Argus contains everything that a good WoW patch should have.
Oh, a small point of criticism comes to mind. The bearded egghead Khadgar firmly claims that he “never would have dreamed of being on a foreign world.” It seemed that the early mage dementia had kicked in, making him forget that he had already been to Draenor.
Argus feels so far more like a “mini-addon” and not just like a small patch area. And not all content has been unlocked yet – because that occurs weekly.
Sure, it is too early to judge whether the patch will keep players engaged for weeks. But the first impression is that Blizzard has learned.
In an interview at Gamescom regarding Destiny 2, there are details about the core element, the Strikes.

this story revolves around an interesting character, usually the villain of the Strike

Truman says Bungie now has a clear division of the individual PvE activities. In the campaign, the focus is on spectacle and story. In the Strikes, the focus is on finding the best combat scenarios and chaining them together.
The Strikes are designed so that players want to repeat them 20, 30, or 40 times over the years.
Destiny 2 – This time we know what we are doing
Mein MMO says: People always ask what the “main difference” is between Destiny 1 and Destiny 2. Statements like this one regarding the Strikes indicate that the main difference is: “Bungie now knows exactly what works and what doesn’t.” ; The experimental phase is over. They are now focusing more on the essentials.

The Strikes need to be built so they can be played 40 times because players want to play them 40 times. Annoying sections that are done once for the story disrupt replayability. We only know one new Strike from Destiny 2, Inverted Spire, but it is already impressive.

Path of Fire, the new expansion for Guild Wars 2 includes mounts. However, the mounts are not just convenient means of transport. Each creature has its own powers and attack options.
Path of Fire is the upcoming expansion for Guild Wars 2. It features an exciting story about the dark god Balthazar. Additionally, it returns to the Crystal Desert to Elona and the principality of Vabbi.
The main feature of the expansion, besides the new class specializations , are the newly introduced mounts.
Guild Wars 2 – Mounts – What can you actually do?
But what is the point of mounts in a game like Guild Wars 2? So far, there were no such creatures, and they were not necessary. You could teleport to all waypoints with the convenient fast travel function.
According to the developers at Arenanet in their blog, mounts do have a purpose:
Each mount has its own movement behavior. The skimmer drifts in curves.
Each mount has abilities that you unlock via the mastery system. Once you fully level a mount, the first mastery unlocks for all mounts.
Mount masteries apply to the whole account.
The raptor can jump. With it, you can cross wide horizontal areas, such as canyons. The longer you hold the jump button, the further the raptor jumps.
The cute “springer” is a kind of rabbit-kangaroo. It can jump extremely high. Ideal for reaching high places. The longer you hold the button, the higher the mount jumps.
The skimmer is a floating ray. It can therefore glide over all types of terrain, including water and small obstacles. With the push of a button, it can jump higher, gliding through the air as long as there is stamina.
The magical jackal is not just a cute desert dog. Rather, it is a creature made of sand that teleports over short distances. It can also use sand portals while maintaining its speed. The developers have planned all sorts of exciting jumping puzzles for the jackal.
Path of Fire – Mounts in Combat
Mounted combat is not intended with the mounts. However, the developers do not want you to have to awkwardly dismount every time before a fight. Therefore, each mount has its own attack that brings you into the fray. After this initial attack, the battle flows seamlessly into a regular Guild Wars fight without a mount.

An exact release date for the patch is not yet known. However, since the patch has been tested on the PTR for some time and has announced the end of the PvP season, the patch is expected to be released in early to mid-September.

Drongo is a ranged zoner and marauder. He looks a bit like a psycho from Borderlands or a crazy post-apocalyptic henchman from a Mad Max film with his gas mask and theatrical gestures. Having lived too long in toxic and polluted junkyards, he has gone a bit insane. But that just makes him more dangerous! In the game, he has the following skills:
Rosti (RMT/L2) – Drongo throws his trusty, rusty boomerang, dealing damage to hit opponents and slowing them down. The boomerang deals damage on the way to the target and on the way back.
Gas Grenade (Q/R1)– Throws a tear gas grenade to the target area, creating a zone of silence after the explosion. Within this gas cloud, opponents cannot use abilities.
Radiating Shots (E/L1) – Loads bullets with uranium tips into Drongo’s revolver. Drongo’s attacks inflict radiation stacks on the target, which deal damage after a short delay.
Shrapnel Cannon (R/L1+R1) – Drongo fires a cannon full of shrapnel that can deal immense damage to targets in front of him, shred their armor, and knock back nearby opponents. The recoil is so strong that Drongo is propelled backward by the ability itself, allowing him to escape tricky situations.

Even though we can now explore Argus by (space) ship, some zones are still contested and inaccessible. The story of the homeworld of the Eredar is just beginning today. Two new game modes have been added to the Arcade: Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch!
In Deathmatch, eight players fight against each other until one player reaches 20 points. Players earn one point when they deal the final blow to an opponent and lose one point if they die from environmental damage (e.g., from falling off a cliff) or self-inflicted damage. Points are counted in a brand new statistic. The first player to reach 20 points wins!
In Team Deathmatch, two teams of four players each compete until one team reaches 30 points. Players earn one point for their team when they deal the final blow to an opponent and lose one point for their team if they die from environmental damage (e.g., from falling off a cliff) or self-inflicted damage. If players are resurrected, the corresponding point for their death is deducted from the opposing team. Points are counted in our usual statistic. The first team to reach 30 points wins!

Château Guillard is located near Annecy in southeastern France. For centuries, it was the estate of the influential Guillard family until it fell into disrepair in the decades following the Revolution, as the family lost its prominence. Recently, the Château has a new owner: the Talon agent Widowmaker, who has returned to the seat of her ancestors. Overview

Ranked Matches
Overview
The duration of the seasons for ranked matches has been reduced to 2 months (previously 3).
On control maps, the winning team is now determined by the “Best of Three” principle (previously Best of Five).
Due to the shorter seasons, less ranked points are now awarded at the end of each season.
In ranked matches, more ranked points are now awarded for wins or ties.
15 ranked points for a win (previously 10).
5 ranked points for a tie (previously 3).
The regular decay of skill rating has been reduced.
Until now, inactive players (in diamond rank and higher) lost 50 skill rating per day. This decay has been reduced to 25 skill rating per day.
If you play a match, the time until the decay kicks in increases to 36 hours (previously 24 hours). The maximum number of days remains at 7. Players in diamond rank or lower can now lose their spot in those ranks if their skill rating falls below the lower limit. However, they still receive their rewards at the end of the season based on the highest skill rating rank achieved.
A player’s skill rating will no longer be temporarily reduced at the start of a season (after placement matches).
Changes to skill rating made after each ranked match have been adjusted to address certain irregularities, especially with certain heroes.
Gameplay
The respawn times of defenders will now slowly increase earlier in the fight if attackers have more players on the objective.
User Interface
In the crosshair options (under Controls > Options > Crosshair) a “Outline Transparency” option has been added, allowing players to adjust the transparency of the crosshair’s black outline.

A bug has been fixed that caused the progress bar for capturing objectives to sometimes exceed the second progress marker before it activated.

A bug has been fixed that caused the black screen that appears after D.Va’s ejection to appear again after she exited her mech.

However, this patch contains no trace of the planned changes to Mercy and D.Va. Blizzard seems to want to continue testing these on the PTR for a longer period of time to gather more opinions and refine them further.

Bungie has something planned for the Destiny veterans when they return to Destiny 2 .
If you have been a Guardian since Year 1 of Destiny and/or have experienced great moments in this MMO shooter, you can look forward to some surprises in Destiny 2. Bungie is planning veteran rewards in the sequel.
At the end of June, the developers presented some of these rewards that you can proudly show off in Destiny 2: “I was there!” They consist of 7 emblems that you will receive at the launch of Destiny 2. You must have achieved triumph moments and milestones in lore books. These emblems for Destiny 2 are introduced in the link.
Now there is fresh information on how Bungie wants to honor returning Guardians.
More than just emblems
In a Q&A video from WIRED, Bungie’s Game Director Luke Smith talked about additional rewards for Destiny veterans. They are planning something. But they cannot talk about it yet. He does not want to spoil that either. You should find out for yourself when Destiny 2 releases on September 6. The emblems are just a preview of the veteran rewards.
To another question about whether returning players will have any advantages in Destiny 2, Smith replied: “You will enter the world a little differently than players who did not play Destiny 1.”
For that, you need to play Destiny 2 on the same platform as Destiny 1, according to Smith.
What this “different access” to Destiny 2 will look like is still unknown. Some speculate that there could be an additional cutscene. Or you might receive certain items to customize your character.
In summary: For Destiny veterans, there will be a surprise or two at the launch of Destiny 2.

The Elder Scrolls Online received the new DLC “Horns of the Reach” for PC at the beginning of August. Now the consoles Playstation 4 and Xbox One are up next.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds seems to have a problem with AFK farmers. These players do nothing and farm points for crates. The boxes are then sold for a lot of money on the marketplace.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds drops up to 100 players on a large map and lets them fight to the death against each other. The longer you survive, the more points you get. Players use the points to buy loot boxes that contain coveted clothing. Since you can earn some points even after a short time, some players exploit this to earn points steadily without effort and thus make money.

Even if you do nothing and die early, you get 50-60 points in PUBG after dying and spend only a few minutes. Thanks to PUBG’s game mechanics, AFK farming is particularly easy. Other players, however, report on Reddit that there are far from as many regular AFK players. Instead of 30-50 loafers, there are more like a moderate 4 to 7, at most 10. This claim is supported by a former AFK player who is slowly losing interest.
