Countless Guardians have been looking forward to September 13, 2017. Because today is the day the first raid in Destiny 2 starts.

A raid launch is always a major event in Destiny. There are several reasons for this:

• Little is known in advance about the raids. Even in Destiny 2, we do not know what enemies to expect in the raid, what mechanics need to be tackled, or what secrets are hidden. All Guardians start with no prior knowledge.
• Therefore, at the start, there are no guides or step-by-step instructions available online. Everyone is allowed or has to figure out for themselves how the raid progresses. For many, this is the best and most intense Destiny experience, which many Guardians look forward to every time.
• Bungie will also announce the “World’s First” for this raid. The fireteam that masters the raid first will gain fame and honor. Some Guardians see the raid launch as a race. Many other Guardians prefer to approach the raid launch more leisurely.

Some information about the setting of the raids leaked in advance. According to the trophy description, the raid is called “Leviathan”. Additionally, it is likely located on or near Nessus, as the supposed Leviathan was spotted in the skybox during the beta.

Cayde-6 has new treasure maps for you in Destiny 2. We show you where to find the treasures.

Once you have completed the Destiny 2 campaign, Cayde-6 has new tasks for you. He sells treasure maps for 4800 Glimmer that lead you to treasures with delicious loot.

These treasure chests can contain various items, from mods and emblems to blue and legendary items, as well as exotic engrams! Sometimes, there are also strange things like diary entries that you can turn in to Cayde-6.

The treasure maps count as weekly activities. This means that every week at the Weekly Reset on Tuesday there are new treasure maps. This week (since September 12th), Cayde-6 sends you to Nessus, where the treasures are hidden.

Treasure Locations on Nessus

Once you have purchased a treasure map, the treasure will be marked on the Nessus map with a spade symbol. These symbols look like this:

You cannot mark the locations – this means you only see the approximate location. You need to search on-site.

This week, there are two treasures near Exodus Black, one treasure is in the Abyss, one is near the Well, and one is in the Verge.

MIDA Multi-Tool in Destiny 2 – how to get the MIDA Multi-Tool and the MIDA Mini-Tool. This is how the Exotic quest works, these are the special perks! Guide.

The MIDA Multi-Tool was one of the most popular and best weapons in Destiny 1 – for years. It was an exotic scout rifle that felt really good and performed with deadly precision in both PvE and PvP.

In Destiny 2, it is making a comeback.

To obtain the MIDA Multi-Tool, you first need the MIDA Mini-Tool. How do you get both weapons?

MIDA Mini-Tool – Location – Quest

Your first task is to successfully complete the story campaign of Destiny 2. You cannot access any MIDA before that.

After the campaign, quests will be unlocked in all four worlds. You can recognize these quests by a crown symbol on a blue background.

For the MIDA Quest, you need to accept the quest line “Expand” in the European Dead Zone. It is located near Devrim Kay. The recommended power level is 260.

This quest line consists of several steps where you get to heat things up against the Fallen. The steps are self-explanatory. Just follow the instructions. Only when you have mastered them all will you receive the MIDA Mini-Tool from Devrim Kay. Nexxoss Gaming shows you the quest steps in detail:

The MIDA Mini-Tool is a legendary submachine gun with solar damage. It has the special perk of granting speed bonuses when you also have the MIDA Multi-Tool equipped. This means there are synergy effects. The intrinsic perk of the Mini-Tool is that you can move faster.

Important Note: Make sure you have an energy weapon slot free when you receive the weapon. There is currently a problem that the MIDA Mini-Tool is not being sent correctly to the post office. You may not receive the weapon until Bungie resolves the issue. Therefore, ensure a free slot to avoid the post office problem. Update: The problem has been resolved. You can pick up the weapon from Devrim Kay.

How to get the MIDA Multi-Tool in Destiny 2 – MIDA Multitool Exotic Quest

Once you have obtained the MIDA Mini-Tool, you can go to Gunsmith Banshee-44, who is located in the social space after the campaign:

• The Gunsmith will give you a quest where you need to defeat enemies with precision shots (50 total) and also kill several enemies without reloading (25 total). You should do this all with a scout rifle. He wants to reconstruct the MIDA blueprints.
• Once that’s done, return to the Gunsmith. You should dismantle scout rifles of Rare (blue) quality or higher. After dismantling 5, you can continue.
• Banshee-44 has another task for you: You need to achieve 50 submachine gun kills from the air. So take your MIDA Mini-Tool, jump in the air, and blast the enemies below you.
• After this, return to the Gunsmith, and he will hand you the MIDA Multi-Tool.

  

The Perks of the MIDA Multi-Tool

The MIDA Multi-Tool in Destiny 2 is an exotic scout rifle that deals kinetic damage. It has a fire rate of 200 and a magazine size of 16.

The special perks are:

In Destiny 2, the guide games mode is active. What do guide clans and solo players need to know? What about the tickets?

To allow Guardians who are not in a clan to participate in endgame group activities such as the Nightfall strike or the raid, Bungie developed Guided Games for Destiny 2 – the guide games.

In these endgame activities, there is no “normal” player search where players are randomly matched. In Destiny 1, players had to organize themselves in forums and social networks to form a fireteam for these activities. Many did not go through this effort, resulting in a large portion of the player base never completing a raid.

The guide games aim to change that.

What are guide games and when are they active? – Guide Games Beta

The guide games allow solo Guardians to find a clan directly in-game that will guide them through the selected endgame activity. The search works similarly to a dating app: The solo Guardian is shown a clan along with its emblem and description. If the clan appeals to them, they can choose that clan and join it for the challenge. If not, they can display a new clan.

This aims to connect players with clans that are compatible to provide the best possible experience.

The guide games are not fully available at the launch of Destiny 2:

• A guide games beta is taking place from September 13 to September 26, 2017, which is only active for the Nightfall strike. During this time, all clans can serve as guide clans, but only solo players who have received a guide games ticket at the post office may participate. Only about 30%-50% of the Guardians are expected to have received a ticket. Bungie wants to avoid having too many seekers and too few guide clans in the early days.
• From September 26 at 7 PM, 100% access to searching for the raid and Nightfall strike is expected. After that, the beta will end.

  

Joining a guide game – What do seekers and guide clans need to consider? – Nightfall Tickets

You can start a guide game as a solo player or as a guide clan. Each role has different requirements.

Seeker (Solo Player):

• You start the activity by clicking on the orange symbol next to it. Now select the option “Seeker” under “Select Mode”.
• You must fulfill all joining requirements, such as power level. For the Nightfall strike, it is 240 Power.
• You need at least one guide games ticket for the activity to join as a seeker. In the beta, 12 Nightfall strike tickets are granted. The tickets will be reset at each season reset. This means you cannot participate in guide games an unlimited number of times. The duration of a season is not known.
• The clan status of a seeker does not matter.

Clan Guides:

• You start the activity by clicking on the orange symbol next to it. Now select the option “Guide” under “Select Mode”.
• Participants must fulfill all joining requirements, such as power level.
• If a clan offers a guide game, at least half of the fireteam must consist of members of the same clan. Specifically, for the Nightfall strike, two members must belong to the same clan, while for the raid, three players must belong to the same clan. There are also expected to be guide games for 4-player fireteams (probably the Trials), where two members must belong to the same clan.
• Clan guides do not need a ticket.

  

Guardian Oath and Guardian Oath Score

In the clan overview in the game, there is a so-called “Guardian Oath Score” below the clan level. This is related to the guide games:

• Before starting a guide game, both seekers and guides are prompted to accept the Guardian Oath. This states that they will be helpful, attentive, mindful, willing to teach/learn, and friendly.
• The Guardian Oath Score then indicates how well a clan adheres to the Guardian Oath. This means: A better score is awarded when successfully completing or amicably finishing guide game activities.
• Seekers can view a clan’s Guardian Oath Score while searching for a clan for the guide game.

  

Leaving a guide game, penalties, and bans

Every participant in a guide game can leave the game before completing the activity, but penalties may occur if the fireteam does not agree.

• Cancellation: Players who cancel without agreement receive a time penalty. They will then be unable to start a new guide game for a limited time. Once a player leaves the match with a penalty, all other players can leave the activity without penalty.
• Agreeing to quit: If a player wants to leave the activity without penalty, they can summon their ghost and “agree to quit”. The other fireteam members can then also summon their ghosts and agree to quit, allowing the player to leave without penalty.
• If someone violates the code of conduct in the clan motto, clan name, or “About Us” description, they may be warned and banned. With a warning, you can change the entries immediately and participate in guide games again, while bans can mean you cannot do so for 7 days, 30 days, or ever again. Bans can also be permanent.

The Tower returns in Destiny 2 and with it a few activities and mini-games for Guardians to pass the time. We present them to you!

Who doesn’t know him? That one colleague who takes what feels like an eternity in the Tower to sort his gear. Or that friend who says he will be online “in a minute,” which quickly turns into 15.

So you don’t get bored while cursing this special colleague, Bungie has hidden a few mini-games in the Tower again that you can play to pass the time.

The Floor is Lava

This game is probably familiar to everyone from their childhood. The goal of the game is to reach a certain spot without touching the ground, or else it’s “Game Over.” You can play this game in the new Tower of Destiny 2 once you have completed the main campaign.

You can find the mini-game one level above your starting point in the Tower. The corresponding spot is marked with the words “Don’t pick me up”:

When you activate this warning, you start glowing red, and a debuff appears on the left side – “The Floor is Lava”. At the same time, a point lights up at the other end of the Tower that you must reach unharmed. You can always just jump off the balcony for fun…

The Ball is Back – and it has a big buddy!

We weren’t the only ones sad to learn that the purple ball in the Tower of Destiny 1 was sneakily flattened by Ghaul. The disturbing images went around the world and took our breath away.

But don’t despair – the purple ball is back. And this time you can prove your skills and change the color of the balls. Because when you place the balls in certain spots in the Tower, they disappear after a little fireworks, and a new ball of a different color appears!

• If you place the purple ball in the right spot in the courtyard, a green ball appears
• If you place the green ball correctly, a black ball appears
• If the black ball is in the right place, the blue ball spawns

If you also manage to place the blue ball correctly, a giant ball appears in the center of the Tower. Since this looks like the Traveler, it will of course be welcomed with fireworks.

In Destiny 2, the quest “On the Comms” has been discovered. You are to expect the arrival of the World Eater and collect Red Legion communications.

Destiny 2 has been live for some time now, and more guardians are reporting that they have reached character level 20 and completed the campaign. However, the adventure does not end there – for many, the true Destiny experience begins only then. Now, you need to raise your Power level, optimize your gear, discover secrets, dominate the Crucible, and solve more quests and tasks.

One of these “endgame” quests is causing a stir right now. This quest is called “On the Comms” and announces the arrival of a World Eater! What is this about?

“On the Comms” – Quest Guide to Red Legion Communications

According to user reports, you receive the quest “On the Comms” only from character level 20 and after completing the story. It can then randomly drop from enemies – several users report they received the quest from Cabal in the European Dead Zone. There is no specific location, so you have to wait for a random drop.

The “quest” then comes in the form of an item in your Power weapon slot: This item is marked as a quest step and assigns you to go to Nessus and obtain Red Legion communication codes. You need 5 of them.

These communication codes (called “Red Legion Communications” as the items) can randomly drop from the Cabal on Nessus.

The real challenge is to first find Cabal units on Nessus. Venero TV recommends playing the public event in the Artifact’s Edge multiple times. This way, you can quickly get the items:

Once you have found all the communication codes, the next quest step begins: “Expect the Arrival of the World Eater”. According to the description, the decrypted transmissions indicate that something is approaching. One should watch for the “World Eater”.

Expect the Arrival of the World Eater – What is the World Eater?

Update: The World Eater is now here. It is the Leviathan Raid. With this quest, you can obtain the Legend of Acrius.

Currently, the guardians are still waiting for the World Eater. This quest step cannot be completed yet. What the World Eater is, cannot be definitively stated at this time.

However, everything indicates that this is the “Leviathan”, the upcoming raid. In concept art (see our title image) and in a vision at the beginning of the Destiny 2 campaign, a huge, fish-like structure with a wide-open mouth can be seen:

Getting the Rat King in Destiny 2 – here’s how to find the exotic pistol. First, you need to solve the riddle “The Rat King’s Friends”.

Even during the gameplay premiere of Destiny 2, the Rat King attracted attention – even though no one knew this name back then. A pistol with an intricately designed barrel was showcased both in gameplay material and in a display case:

This weapon features rats depicted as they apparently dig a tunnel through the barrel. Due to this design alone, the Rat King is currently considered one of the most coveted weapons in Destiny 2.

How to get the exotic pistol Rat King in Destiny 2 – Exotic Quest for the Rat King

You can only have a chance at the Rat King after you have completed the story campaign. Then, quests will be unlocked in all four worlds. You will recognize these quests by a crown symbol on a blue background.

1. For the Rat King quest, you must accept the quest “The Enemy of My Enemy” on Titan. Sloane needs your help and is located in the Siren’s Watch, New Pacific Arcology.
2. In the second step of the quest, you need to find a methane reactor. This mission will give you the first clue about the Rat King.
3. At the end of the mission, you will receive a kinetic weapon called “The Rat King’s Friends” as a reward. However, this item is not a real weapon, but a quest step where you must solve a riddle.

How to solve the riddle “The Rat King’s Friends”

You must solve multiple riddle steps for “The Rat King’s Friends“. Each riddle has a short, rhyming text. As a hint, it says that you should solve the riddle with other rats. This means you need a fireteam. Here’s how it goes:

• First, you need to complete three patrol missions in a fireteam with at least one friend (which world supposedly doesn’t matter – Titan has been confirmed by Venero TV). Then you’ll get a new riddle.
• In the next step, you must complete two public events with your fireteam.
• For the next riddle step, you need to complete two PvP matches with your fireteam – they do not have to be won. According to user reports, strikes can also be completed.
• Finally, you should complete the Nightfall strike with your fireteam. At least 5 minutes must be left on the timer. This is the most difficult step, as a high power level is required. Then you will receive the Rat King as a reward.

What can the Rat King do? – Perks

The Rat King is an exotic pistol with a fire rate of 300 and a magazine size of 15.

The special perks of the Rat King do the following:

• Rat Pack: The weapon becomes stronger when nearby allies are also equipped with the Rat King. The effect can stack up to 6 times. When this effect is active, the weapon glows red. The more allies nearby, the faster you can shoot with the Rat King.
• Vermin: If you reload immediately after a kill, you will briefly become invisible.

If you didn’t manage to get the Rat King before the weekly reset of Destiny 2, you’re in luck! We’ll show you why!

The first weekly reset of Destiny 2 has brought us a new Nightfall strike. It’s in the Tangled Shore – this strike was playable in the beta.

To obtain the exotic pistol Rat King, you need to complete a Nightfall with 5 minutes remaining in the final step. This was a challenging task last week – the new Nightfall this week makes it easier!

Nightfall – Modifications

You will be dealing with the following modifications this week:

• Prism: Rotating elements. When the respective element is active, your damage dealt increases significantly, while damage from other elements is reduced. Kinetic damage and incoming damage are not affected.
• Time Loop: Rings – Vex time gates have appeared. Pass through them to extend the mission timer.

Note: The Prism modification is currently bugged. The element that deals increased damage should be permanently displayed in the HUD. This is currently not the case. Always call out the active element and remember it to maximize your damage.

The Vex Time Portals

The Nightfall strike starts with 11 minutes remaining, and if the timer runs out, it’s back to orbit, and the mission fails. Properly managing the Prism modifier is key to completing the strike in the required time. Here’s how you should equip yourself when the modifier is active.

The second modifier ensures you gain time when you pass through specific Vex time gates. You get an additional 30 seconds this way. Keep an eye out for these and make sure to collect all gates. They can appear one at a time or multiple times at one location.

If you are surrounded by many enemies, always ask yourself whether you can just keep going. Enemies only delay you and cost you time. Unlike last week’s Nightfall, defeating minor enemies does not grant you extra time.

Boss Fight Strategy

The boss fight is tough, as it is a Nightfall strike. Therefore, it’s even more important not to go into the fight unprepared. The boss fight itself will occur in three phases.

In the first phase, make sure that one Guardian deals with the pesky Harpies to distract them, while the other two can deal damage to the boss. Once the boss has lost enough health, the phase changes and his annoying friends disappear.

In the next phase, focus on killing the minor enemies before turning your attention to the boss. Only dealing damage to the boss will quickly get you overwhelmed. This task is for everyone!

In the final boss phase, you will face more Harpies and Goblins than usual. Two Guardians should focus entirely on the minor enemies and only shoot the boss if circumstances allow. One Guardian should completely focus on the final boss.

If you collect all Vex time portals and take down the boss quickly, you should have more than five minutes left to call the Rat King your own! This week should be significantly easier than last week.

Infusing has been revamped in Destiny 2 . What has changed specifically? And what do mod components have to do with it? We answer the most pressing questions. 

Since the release of Destiny 2, Guardians have been trying various ways to maximize their power level. A common method for this is infusing.

What is infusing and when should you do it in Destiny 2?

Infusing refers to the process of merging a high power-level gear piece into an item with a low power level to raise the power level of the weaker item. The infused item disappears.

Infusing only works with weapons and armor pieces of Legendary (purple) and Exotic (yellow) quality. Only these can be upgraded. However, items of lower quality (blue) can be “infused into” these items.

Infusing makes sense, for example, if you want to continue using a weapon with a low power level because you handle it particularly well: The weapon feels right, or you just find the design cool.

Weapons in Destiny 2 have a variety of hidden properties that influence shooting behavior and determine whether a weapon feels “good” or not.

The basic principle of infusing reappears in Destiny 2, albeit in a modified form.

Infusing the same weapon types

In Destiny 2, you can only infuse weapons when you have a second weapon of the same type with a higher power level. This means that a shotgun can only be improved if you have a second, better shotgun on hand.

This is a new feature compared to Destiny 1, where you could infuse across weapon categories. So if you want to upgrade a specific weapon type, look for weapons of the same kind. By the way, infusing costs you Glimmer. It can also cost Legendary Shards – depending on the gear’s quality.

The mod components – The devil is in the detail – Why sometimes 5 points are missing

New in Destiny 2 are the mods, specific modifications that allow you to enhance your gear. The gameplay varieties are diverse, including different elements or reload perks, everything is there. Among other things, you can get a mod that increases the power level of the gear item by 5.

An example: Your power weapon has a power level of 250. Now you receive a second power weapon of the same type with a power level of 265 (260 normal and +5 points due to the modifiers). You infuse the weapon with a power level of 265 into the weapon with 250.

As a result, you receive a power weapon with a power level of 260. What happened? The weapon to be infused had a mod that increased the power by 5. Since the weapon is destroyed in the infusion process, the mod is also destroyed.

What sounds like a disadvantage works in the opposite case as well. If the weapon being upgraded contains this mod, it benefits from it when infused.
