With the first DLC “Curse of Osiris”, which was released on December 5, Guardians can now expand their Exotic collection. Because now there are five new exotic weapons in the game.
So far, there has only been one trace rifle in Destiny 2: Cold Heart. With the Prometheus Lens, a second trace rifle is now added. It deals Solar damage.
Here are the special perks:
Prismatic Inferno: Fires a solar beam and generates a damaging heat field that grows as the weapon is continuously fired.
Flame Refraction:Kills with this weapon return a portion of the used ammunition to the magazine, extending the duration of the beam.
Jade Rabbit – What can the Scout Rifle do in Destiny 2?
The Jade Rabbit was a PlayStation-exclusive weapon in Destiny 1 for years. Now, the scout rifle is available on Xbox and has been available on all platforms in Destiny 2 since Curse of Osiris. It is an exotic kinetic weapon.
The perks:
Fate of All Fools: Chains body shots to grant bonus damage on the next precision shot. It also returns ammunition to the magazine.
Zen Moment: When you deal damage with the weapon, stability increases.
How Electronic Arts wants to handle microtransactions in the online shooter Star Wars Battlefront 2 is still not very clear to the company itself.
During the Nasdaq Investor Conference, EA’s CFO Blake Jorgensen explained that the company is focusing on listening to what the players want.
Over time, they will then address the issue of microtransactions in Battlefront 2 and decide whether they will reintroduce them into the game or not. And if they bring them back, a decision must be made on how that will happen.
Electronic Arts has not yet decided anything regarding microtransactions
So far, it has been said that microtransactions will definitely find their way back into the online shooter. However, EA was unsure how these would look after the loot boxes were heavily criticized by players and the media at the game’s release.
Now it is said that they might not bring them back after all. Apparently, EA needs to develop a plan on how the company wants to proceed.
According to Blake Jorgensen, the launch of Star Wars Battlefront 2 was a great learning experience. Players love the online shooter, according to the CFO, and he believes that the game will continue to sell into the upcoming year through the holidays and the end of the year.
What works in one game may not work in another
When asked whether the “Ultimate Teams” system known from EA’s sports games can also be adopted in the online shooter, Jorgensen replied that one must find the right mix that keeps players engaged and entertained for a long time. It all comes down to giving customers what they want, and that can differ between a shooter and what works well in a sports game.
In the future, EA wants to develop fewer new titles, but offer customers what they want in a game – and even more.
Video games provide great entertainment value for around 60 dollars. Sometimes 3,000 hours or more. If additional money is spent, it further enhances the joy of gaming. This is what EA wants to focus on: keeping players in a game longer.
Players are eagerly waiting for a new PUBG map where they can play their matches in the future. Since the early access start in March 2017, players have only had the green Erangel map on which they could play the Hunger Games.
The next update, Patch 1.0, will introduce a desert map that brings new vehicles and even exclusive weapons that fit the desert setting.
Winchester shotgun on the desert map of PUBG
The developers want to make the desert map “Miramar” special with cool content. Rusty pickup trucks are just as much a part of the map’s equipment as old firearms.
For this, they are bringing in the “Win94”, which is based on the model of the Winchester 1894.
You are probably familiar with these or similar guns from Western movies, where they are often used.
The following video demonstrates the real-life use of the Win94. (Caution, loud!)

Alongside the Win94, the sawed-off shotgun joins as an exclusive weapon of the desert map. With a cut barrel, this shotgun can be handled or stored more easily.
The short design makes it possible for the sawed-off shotgun to take the pistol slot in PUBG and not occupy a primary weapon slot. However, this has not been officially confirmed yet.
Two new cars for PUBG
So that you can move quickly on the desert map, there are also new vehicles. This includes a car that strongly resembles a hippie van and a new pickup. It is still unclear whether players can sit in the bed of the truck and ride along.
The desert map Miramar will be unlocked with Patch 1.0. In the final round on the test servers for the new game version, this content can also be tried out. We are already excited to see when the big update will hit the live servers.

Blizzard has managed to saturate the hero shooter market and now devours the cake almost entirely alone.
It will be difficult for Dauntless to establish itself alongside Monster Hunter World
Leya says: With the release of Monster Hunter World, hard times are ahead for Dauntless.
Because even if Dauntless sees itself more in competition with Free2Play titles like Warframe or Path of Exile, Monster Hunter World will exert tremendous pressure on Phoenix Labs.
Dauntless cannot escape this comparison.
When I played Dauntless a few weeks ago for a few hours, I enjoyed the fights and weapons. They were fluid and the various monster phases were exciting. However, it will likely not be where Monster Hunter World will be at launch.
A critical phase will dawn for Phoenix Labs when Monster Hunter World is released on PC – the current main platform of Dauntless. One can see from Overwatch that players are indeed willing to reach into their pockets to pay for a corresponding brand and production.
Phoenix Labs, as an indie developer, will need to strengthen the bond with its community and focus on strong updates that give Dauntless more unique selling points.
So far, not much is known about the endgame of Monster Hunter World or expansions. If Dauntless survives the marathon long enough, Phoenix Labs could potentially score in the long run.
With the release of Monster Hunter World, it is likely to be a challenge for the Free2Play game Dauntless (PC) to stand alongside Capcom’s giant. Will the “Overwatch Syndrome” that has already led to the early demise of some hero shooters affect it?
When Phoenix Labs began developing Dauntless in 2016, the action RPG was intended to fill a gap: it was meant to be a Monster Hunter substitute for platforms that lacked Monster Hunter titles.
Dauntless was supposed to offer something that the Monster Hunter franchise was missing:
Dauntless is Free2Play, Monster Hunter is a full-price title.
Dauntless was primarily developed for PC, while Monster Hunter mostly appeared on handheld consoles. Additionally, Dauntless had already considered ports for PS4 and Xbox One – there was no Monster Hunter.
This was intended to make Dauntless more accessible to the West. Monster Hunter had primarily succeeded in Japan, where handheld consoles are very popular.
Dauntless was also intended to have a strong MMO character and focus on cooperative play.
Interest in Dauntless declines, while interest in Monster Hunter World continues to rise
Right after the announcement of MHW, the developers of Dauntless were asked how they view the new competitor.
At Phoenix Labs, they claim to be looking forward to Monster Hunter World and are relaxed about the release of the title. After all, Dauntless is Free2Play – they saw competition more in other complex Free2Play titles like Warframe.
However, this hope and these ideas from Dauntless have not materialized in reality.
Dauntless and Monster Hunter World share monster hunting as core gameplay and belong to the action RPG genre. In both games, players take down increasingly powerful monsters to acquire better gear and bring down even stronger beasts.
It is clearly evident from Google Trends that interest in Dauntless is in a downward trend. In contrast, interest in Monster Hunter World has risen sharply since its announcement.
Dauntless aimed to fill a gap. Now Capcom has closed that gap themselves.
Capcom brought exactly the elements to Monster Hunter that Dauntless wanted to do differently and add:
Monster Hunter World will be released on the popular platforms PC, PS4, and Xbox, which are also popular in the West.
In online co-op, up to 4 players worldwide can go on missions together, similar to Destiny.
The strongest difference that remains:
Dauntless is Free2Play and Monster Hunter World is Buy2Play.
Capcom has an established brand with Monster Hunter – Dauntless is just beginning
Capcom has been producing the Monster Hunter series since 2004 and has spread mainly through positive word-of-mouth. Key points include the challenging gameplay and the addictive loot system.
Monster Hunter World has built a respectable reputation over the years and stands for quality. Moreover, Capcom has made significant capital through the franchise in the meantime. This gives them an advantage, as they have very different possibilities to advertise and do PR for Monster Hunter World than Dauntless can.
With the available resources, the developers are able to create an enormous world that looks appealing and features fluid mechanics.
Capcom also generated significant hype for Monster Hunter World in recent months and released high-quality produced (gameplay) trailers one after another.
The battles against the monsters are already refined and offer interesting and exciting gameplay. However, Dauntless is plagued by bugs and does not yet offer the variety of maps, weapons, armors, and monsters that Monster Hunter World will have in January.
The Overwatch Syndrome: When Godzilla comes and tramples everything
Dauntless now faces a problem that many hero shooters have faced since the release of Overwatch:
Most hero shooters have consistently struggled under the competitive pressure from Overwatch. All these games are and have been lovingly, creatively, and high-quality produced. The demise of many hero shooters has little to do with the quality of the titles.
However, when a giant like Blizzard comes along, smaller and unknown productions find it difficult. Just like Capcom, Blizzard is an established brand that possesses capital and has built trust with players.
Blizzard has managed to saturate the hero shooter market and now devours the cake almost entirely alone.

How to activate the heroic event on Mercury in Destiny 2? We will show you how to start the public event “Vex Crossroads” heroically.
With Curse of Osiris, the largest public event to date has been introduced. It is called Vex Crossroads and takes place in the patrol zone on Mercury. Unlike most other public events, Vex Crossroads is specifically tailored for this planet – it is quite dynamic and sends you almost across all of Mercury.
How to trigger “heroic” at Vex Crossroads
As with the other events, there is a normal mode and a heroic mode for the Mercury event, with the heroic mode dropping better rewards. However, the heroic event needs to be triggered first – you must fulfill a requirement to make the event “heroic”.
First, play the Vex Crossroads as in normal mode: Defeat the Vex, take down the gatekeepers, and deactivate the warp gates in the starting area.
Now you can reach “Islands” with jump portals, where you also need to kill a big boss on each to deactivate warp gates.
Now it becomes important: Once you have deactivated a warp gate on an island, a floating Vex crystal appears outside:
You must destroy this crystal as quickly as possible. It only stays for a short time.
Once you have destroyed it, platforms and additional crystals spawn. Jump along the platforms and destroy the crystals until you reach the roof of the island.
On the roof is a Vex platform. Stand in it. If you were quick enough, the heroic mode will now be activated. If it is not activated, other players on the other island may have been too quick and thus blocked the heroic mode.
Nexxoss Gaming shows you the event and the Vex crystals in the video:

The heroic mode causes the gatekeeper to have an impenetrable shield around him at the end. To destroy the shield, you must defeat an additional gatekeeper nearby. This will drop a sphere that you must throw into a device. Now the gatekeeper is vulnerable.
As a reward, there are two chests that may contain exotics. But most of the time, they contain tokens and blue items.
At a preview event for Hearthstone’s new expansion “Knights & Catacombs”, our author Guddy met with Blizzard’s Art Director Ben Thompson and Senior Game Designer Peter Whalen. In good spirits, they talked about the details of the expansion, the development process, and teamwork.
Blizzard transformed a hamburger basement for the event into a charming tavern styled completely in Hearthstone fashion. A fire crackled in the fireplace, wolf pelts lay on the benches, and the characters from the “Hearthstone We Are” trailer invited – at least as cardboard cutouts – for a cozy stay. In addition to ordinary journalists, there were also Hearthstone professionals milling about.
Fireside Gatherings are meant to unite players in friendly gatherings, and that’s exactly what happened! Staring at their own screens together may not seem communicative from the outside, but it’s a fun affair that, especially in a suitable ambiance, is not only crowned by gaming success! Because even those who are a bit shy will find topics to talk about here.
Such meetings have taken place and continue to happen in many countries and cities, with the Netherlands seemingly being a stronghold. It shows again that mobile gaming can indeed have a social component, even when there is no chat function available. If you’re curious and maybe want to attend one yourself, you can find out here if and where one will take place near you.
“I would be Reno Jackson!”
Also, Art Director Ben Thompson and Senior Game Designer Peter Whalen graced the event and offered themselves as entertaining conversation partners. In response to my question about which Hearthstone card they would be, Peter quickly responded with a bold answer:
“Reno Jackson! I don’t know if I would really like him, but he looks like he’s having so much fun in life! He’s a bit fidgety when it comes to his environment, and sure, bad things happen to him sometimes. But he smiles about it and I believe that’s a great way to live.” – Peter Whalen
Hardly any answer could have been more fitting, although the good Mr. Reno – he fully heals the hero when you don’t have a duplicate card in the deck – is on many people’s hate list. Do you also have cards that you think are like “cut from the same cloth” as you?
“We definitely shouldn’t do it that way, but…!”
The idea generation process in developing a new expansion is always a very exciting and inspiring process, as Ben assured. Unless someone happens to have a brilliant idea, they come together for community pitching, where ideas are presented. No idea, no matter how absurd or inappropriate it may seem at first, is bad. After all, every idea can lead to another; the path of association can lead to success.
What was the craziest idea that came up during the brainstorming sessions in the team?
“The ‘Hot Dog Expansion’! Someone had a bizarre notion of an expansion revolving around cooking and eating. Since the idea came up in summer, it quickly turned into a beach BBQ party in our heads. Hot dogs were the central element! It was a great pitch, but we ultimately decided against it.” – Peter Whalen
And yes, that was the saddest sentence of the evening.
Blingtron’s Heirs
Back to the expansion: In Knights & Catacombs, it’s about the old feeling of fantasy dungeon runs, descending into the depths together with a few friends, battling nasty monsters, kicking down doors, and collecting treasures. The original idea of building everything around the treasure bot Blingtron was discarded during the development process.
With Knights and Catacombs, Blizzard sought to better engage casual players. For this purpose, they created single-player content with dungeon crawls that should provide fun for months.

There are many players who enjoy ganking in World of Warcraft – but one has taken it to the extreme. We are talking about the legendary Orc rogue Angwe.
In World of Warcraft, there are only a few individuals who have made a name for themselves in the community beyond the game. One of them is Leeroy Jenkins, who is responsible for perhaps the most famous wipe in Azeroth. While Leeroy is associated with a rather funny story, there are also tales of terrible players who not only besieged a village of the opposing faction but outright terrorized it.
One of these nightmares is Angwe, an Orc rogue from the Dethecus server, who was active in the early days of World of Warcraft. In 2005, Angwe set up camp in Menethil for 4 months and slaughtered the unsuspecting players who just wanted to travel to Kalimdor.
Angwe – The Butcher of Menethil
In Classic, switching between continents required using a Zeppelin (Horde) or a boat (Alliance). This forced Alliance players to cross from Menethil (Wetlands) by boat. The Wetlands back then were for players in the level range of 30-40 – the perfect place to spread fear and terror as a level 60 rogue.
Angwe waited for players to gather at the harbor to board the boat. At first, he only killed players who went AFK while waiting. But soon he changed his plan and wanted to kill anyone who dared to board the boat. No matter if level 30 newbie or level 60 veteran – Angwe would attack everyone and then disappear back into the shadows.
Sometimes he even acted particularly deviously and sneaked onto the boat to execute players at the last moment before the zone change.
At the same time, Angwe had a second account on the Alliance side to monitor the general chat in the Wetlands and directly receive the hate from his victims. For – like many trolls on the internet today – Angwe enjoyed it when his victims got upset. The insults he received he collected in screenshots and posted them on his own website.
Some of these excesses we have included in this article.
Ending Angwe’s Carnage with the Implementation of Battlegrounds
The reputation of Angwe quickly spread across the server, and time and again, upset players could be found in the Dethecus realm forum complaining as well. Angwe did show a little mercy if the players humbled themselves – they had to join the guild “Minions of Angwe,” then they could travel safely by ship.
The cruel slaughter of players ended with Patch 1.05 – here Blizzard implemented battlegrounds in World of Warcraft, and open-world PvP no longer paid off.
Meanwhile, Angwe has become a legend, and his name appears from time to time in the World of Warcraft subreddit. In an interview with PCGamer, the now 30-year-old family man explained that back then he “just liked playing Freddy Krueger.”
By the way, Angwe learned this behavior from Everquest. According to his description, players there were so fanatically hostile that they stalked individual players for weeks until they finally got their revenge.
However, Angwe has not become arrogant. He does not see himself as a particularly good player and thinks that if he were to play actively again today, he couldn’t repeat it. Back then, most WoW players were incredibly bad at PvP and there was no proper balance between classes anyway. It was simply the right place and the right time to instill real fear in players.
Do you know of any other fanatic and persistent PvP gankers like Angwe? And what do you think about this? Cool if you go through with it? Or do you see it like the people in the screenshots, that Angwe was just “a kiddie that wanted attention”?
Here is the solution for the puzzle in the Lighthouse of Destiny 2! You need an Exciting Book as well as four other books to gain access to the chest.
Early in the campaign of “Curse of Osiris,” you enter the Lighthouse. This is the new social space on Mercury that some of you may remember from the “Trials of Osiris.”
In Destiny 2, you can visit Brother Vance there and prepare for new quests and adventures. Additionally, there’s a secret waiting for you that isn’t easy to uncover.
However, the eager Guardians on Reddit have already cracked it – and with our guide, you can solve it in under a minute too.
Solution for the puzzle in the Lighthouse – Here’s how to do it
You solve the puzzle by investigating a total of 5 books in the Lighthouse, then interacting with a Conflux to unlock the barrier in front of the reward chest.
The chest is the goal of this puzzle. You will find it below the small bridge that leads to Brother Vance. Jump down on the left side, that’s where it is:
Here’s how to get to it:
Enter the Lighthouse.
Walk straight to Brother Vance. On the platform where Vance stands, the first book is located on the left. It is called “Exciting Book.” Investigate it:
From there, walk to the right side of the room. On the wall in the bookshelf is the Marked Book.
The third book is located to the left of the entrance – between the entrance and the weapon forge. It is the Old Book.
Now go back to the right side near the second book. The fourth book is not in the bookshelf on the wall, but on the table where some scholars of Osiris are sitting. There is the Strange Book.
Now jump quickly straight to the weapon forge from the fourth book. To the right of the mural, there is a bookshelf with the Important Book. You need to investigate it while hovering because it is placed higher up. Or you can cleverly position yourself on the shelf.
Now a Conflux appears roughly in the middle of the room, which you can interact with. This decodes the “firewall,” allowing you to access the chest. For me, there was a legendary engram and a Mercury token inside.
Two important notes:
All books are marked with the glowing symbol that is also on the chest. Therefore, the books can be quickly found.
You need to investigate the books quickly and in the specified order. If you are too slow, you cannot activate the next book. Then you must start over with the Exciting Book.
Nexxoss Gaming shows you in the video where the chest and where the books are:

In Pokémon GO, the 3rd generation could be unlocked soon. First traces are now available in the App Store.
Trainers around the world are currently waiting for news about the 3rd generation for Pokémon GO. A few weeks ago, the developers announced that the new monsters would be coming to the mobile game soon.
A new advertisement for Apple users is raising hopes.
In the meantime, the image of the 3rd generation has been replaced by an image of Aerodactyl. Whether the image of the 3rd generation was just a mistake or if Niantic is trying to hide a big announcement is unclear.
Let’s continue with the original article.
3rd Gen Release soon? App Store advertisement is a good sign
A new advertisement for Apple Watch users has now been spotted, showcasing the starter Pokémon from the 3rd generation. The advertisement can be found in various countries and has been confirmed by several players.
This is what the advertisement looks like with the gen-3 starters “Flemmli”, “Geckarbor”, and “Hydropi” (via Reddit user mpiano888):
We suspect that a new Pokémon GO update will soon be released, providing us with the last necessary files and preparations for the 3rd generation.
Gen 3 release date still unclear
Unfortunately, a precise release date cannot be established at this point. However, the new advertisement suggests that the release is not far off, and new monsters will soon be rolling through the world of Pokémon GO.
During the Halloween event in 2017, we found the first gen-3 monsters in the game. Niantic stated that the remaining Pokémon from the Ruby and Sapphire editions would be gradually available in December. Unfortunately, there is still no more accurate official information regarding the release. We expect Niantic will comment on this soon.
The hype train is therefore picking up speed, and players are excited about the announced content update. Are you already looking forward to the new Pokémon?
The new Hearthstone expansion Kobolds and Catacombs is coming soon. We show you our 5 favorite cards.
Soon the big digital card opening begins again, as the next Hearthstone expansion is on the horizon. Kobolds and Catacombs brings a total of 135 new cards. We have picked five favorites that we want to share with you. Enjoy our 5 highlights from “Kobolds and Catacombs”!
1. Rhok’delar
Rhok’delar is the new Hunter weapon, which costs a proud 7 mana and only has stats of 4/2. However, it has the powerful Battlecry to fill the entire hand of the Hunter with Hunter spells if there are no minions in the deck.
This forces Rhok’delar to create an entirely new type of Hunter. Until now, Hunters have been heavily dependent on minions. The “Face Hunter,” which uses small, fast minions to crush the opponent while also casting a few spells, has always been a popular archetype in Hearthstone. With this weapon, there could finally be pure spell decks, like those known from the Mage or Priest. Whether this will really be playable at higher ranks remains to be seen – it definitely looks fun!
2. Deck of Wonders
The mage card Deck of Wonders has also caught our attention. For 5 mana, the spell shuffles 5 scrolls into your deck. When one of the scrolls is drawn, the Mage casts a random spell – spells from other classes are also possible. The card promises “maximum RNG”, which will create many exciting and funny twists. Professionals will probably rarely include this card in a deck, as it can also lead to a Fireball in your own face. But hey, a little loss is always part of it, right?
3. Unstable Evolution
For shamans, there is an inexpensive spell for 1 mana. Unstable Evolution transforms a friendly minion into a random other minion that costs 1 more mana. This spell can be repeated as many times as you want during the same turn as long as you have mana available. This very fact allows for some crazy combinations! For example, in the 5th turn, you could create a 9-cost minion from a regular 4-cost minion – like Malygos.
In combination with the Coin, even larger minions are possible, just think of Deathwing. Again, a lot of RNG is involved, and each time you will ask yourself: Should I develop even more? Or is that enough?
4. Geomancer Yip
Warriors receive the Geomancer Yip for 8 mana with stats of 4/8. Within seconds, the Geomancer proves to be a massive threat, as it has an evil effect: “At the end of your turn, summon a random minion whose cost matches your armor (max 10).”
This makes it even easier for Warriors to simply wait out fights by building up armor. Now with the added option to actually receive really powerful minions.
5. The Darkness
Lastly, there is still The Darkness. This gigantic neutral minion costs only 4 mana and has devastating stats of 20/20. However, this comes with a bitter downside – The Darkness starts inactive. As a Battlecry, the game shuffles 3 candles into the opponent’s deck, and only when the last candle is drawn does the minion become active.
Even though the card will probably rarely see use in ranked mode, it adds a funny “timer” to normal matches until chaos breaks loose. Each time a candle is drawn, the opponent’s anxiety grows. Since The Darkness is initially inactive, it cannot be defeated early by spells or effects. It is certain that in most cases the match will be decided long before the third candle is drawn. But if that is not the case, then the match is sure to end very quickly…
Which cards from Kobolds and Catacombs are you particularly looking forward to?
In Destiny 2, the wait for HDR with Curse of Osiris should come to an end. However, PS4 players will have to be patient.
Before the launch of Destiny 2, there was surprising news: The MMO shooter will not offer HDR on consoles for the time being. But Bungie promised that this feature would be added in the future.
HDR stands for “High Dynamic Range” and ensures that colors are more vibrant on HDR-capable displays, that more details can be seen, and that colors appear more natural. In short: The image will be better.
Yesterday, on December 5th, it was supposed to happen: The PS4 Pro and Xbox One X were finally supposed to receive HDR. However, the PS4 Pro Guardians will have to wait a bit longer.
HDR issues are under investigation
The patch notes for update 1.11 list HDR support for consoles:
PS4 Pro receives adaptive 4K and HDR
Xbox One X receives 4K and HDR
A few hours after the launch of Curse of Osiris, Bungie tweeted: There are issues with HDR availability on the PS4. These are being investigated.
Investigations are still ongoing. Recently, community manager DeeJ provided an update that the team is making progress. When a solution for the HDR issues will come, they will let us know soon. He wants to inform us now that the investigations are progressing.
So the PS4 Guardians will have to wait a little longer until they can experience Destiny 2 in a new light. It seems there are no HDR issues on the Xbox One X.
Otherwise, the launch of Curse of Osiris went relatively smoothly. There was no server crash, and the Guardians could log in quickly. Aside from the HDR issues, Bungie reports no other urgent problems that they are investigating.
In Destiny 2, Update 1.11 is live on PS4, Xbox One, and PC! Bungie has now released the patch notes – including balance changes.
Today’s update is one of two in December, next week on December 12th, the Masterwork weapons will be introduced.
Bungie has now published the patch notes for the update on December 5th. Will there be the obligatory Fusion Rifle nerf? We will highlight the highlights, at the end of the article, interested readers can read the entire patch notes.
Weapon Balance Changes
Bungie has made the following changes to weapon balance:
The base damage of Precision Auto Rifles has been increased and the precision modifier has been decreased
For High-Caliber Rounds on Auto Rifles and Scout Rifles, the scope sway has been slightly reduced
The aim assist of Scout Rifles is slightly weakened at long distances
The strength of recoil on Häkke Auto Rifles with high impact has been reduced
Aim assist for aggressive hand cannons has been improved
The precision restoration of Hand Cannons now scales with fire rate
The time between bursts has been slightly increased for all Omolon sidearms (the last hope among others)
Minor increase in impact damage for lightweight single-shot grenade launchers
Damage from Lion’s Roar has been increased and the perk “Herd Thinning” now grants bonus ammo instead of drawing ammo from the player’s inventory
Shooting destructible objects with Graviton Lance, Sunshot, Merciless, Dirge, and Storm will no longer activate the exotic weapon perks
Class Balance Changes
Classes have also undergone extensive changes. General adjustments:
The damage dealt by supers against bosses has been increased
The output of the recovery stat has been adjusted so that characters with the lowest recovery levels recover a bit faster
Grenades
Impact grenade damage and the intensity of camera shake as well as controller shake for each pulse have been slightly reduced
The reload rate for extra grenade charges after the first has been reduced
The reload rate for Arcbolt and Firebolt grenades has been adjusted to match the other grenade archetypes
An exploit has been fixed that allowed the Barricade to generate unlimited ammo with certain weapon types

Weekly reset on December 5th – Nightfall strike, raid challenge
On this Tuesday, the reset times for Destiny 2 will change. Until now, the weekly reset always took place in the morning, but it will now occur at 6 PM (winter time) and 7 PM (summer time).
The nightfall strike is the Tangled Shore. Modifiers are Friction (health and shield regeneration is slower, but defeated enemies can drop light sources to recharge both) and Time Warp: Kill Timer (defeat enemies to extend the timer).
The Flashpoint is in the European Dead Zone. There, Cayde-6 has his treasure maps.
The weekly milestone is that you receive a Powerful gear after three heroic strikes. This brings you to the highest power level (335).
In PvP, there are new Osiris playlists, where you can play the new PvP maps.
Shiny engrams are now called “Illuminated Engrams.”
In the Eververse, there is a “Call me” gesture as well as a “Swift Dance.” Exotic gestures are not available this week for Glimmer. However, there is an ornament for a new exotic weapon: “Prometheus Lens.” That looks like the new trace rifle.
In the Illuminated Engrams, the exotic gestures “Selfie”, “Mic Drop”, and “Sweep” may be included. All have been seen in trailers already.

Here are the important times for today:
At 4 PM maintenance begins. You will not be able to log in.
At 5 PM the servers will be shut down. If you are still in the game, you will be kicked out.

What do I need to know for the launch of Curse of Osiris?
Curse of Osiris is the first paid expansion for Destiny 2. If you only own the standard edition of the MMO shooter, you will need to spend additional money to play the new activities. These include new story missions, Mercury as a new planet, the Infinite Forest as a new PvE activity, a new raid area, heroic strikes, new weapons and armor pieces, and much more.
The Update 1.1.0, on the other hand, is free. It brings numerous changes to the endgame mechanics. A week later, on December 12th, the next free update will be released, which will bring further system changes.
These three additional things you need to know today:
With Curse of Osiris, Season 2 starts. This resets your clan progress and fills the Bright Engrams with new items.
The complete patch notes will only be released tonight, after Update 1.1.0 is live. We will report on it.
The weekly reset will now take place at 6 PM. That means, today at 10 AM, our weekly reset article will be skipped. We will do it tonight, as soon as the servers are live again. We will accompany the launch live.

Funcom increases the price for the Xbox One preorder version of the survival RPG Conan Exiles. If you want to get the game at the lower price, you should act quickly.
Currently, the preorder version of the online game Conan Exiles for Xbox One costs around 35 dollars. However, as Funcom has now announced, the price will increase to 50 dollars. The developers justify this by stating that the scope of the game has significantly increased. Also, the previous price was only for the “Game Preview”.
The price should be increased anyway
As a small compensation, Funcom will soon reduce the game to 17.50 dollars for a short time. So, if you want to experience Conan Exiles at a discount on Xbox One, you should act quickly then. The offer is valid from December 8 to 10. Afterwards, the price will be 50 dollars.
Funcom explains that it was the plan from the beginning to increase the price of the game at launch. After all, players will then have significantly more content than at the beginning of the early access phase. This includes an area that is twice as large as it was at the beginning, where you can experience much more content.
Price of the PC version remains the same
The new price of around 50 dollars also applies to the PlayStation 4 retail version. This will be released at a yet-to-be-announced time after the release versions for PC and Xbox One. An early access phase is not planned for Sony’s console.
The higher price is said to ensure that Conan Exiles can be continuously supplied with additional content in the future. For the PC version, players do not have to pay more, the previous roughly 30 euros remain, which is due to the fact that this version is only available in very limited quantities in regular retail.
The big “Sharpen your Skills” update of the online action RPG Dauntless is approaching. Not long now, and you’ll be fighting giant turtles and monster insects!
Plenty of new content awaits you on December 8 with the “Sharpen your Skills” update of the action RPG Dauntless!
Face the mighty Behemoth Skarn, a turtle-like monster with a shell made of rocks! Or take on the flying Khabarak, which attacks you from the air!
If you defeat the monsters, you’ll get cells that you can incorporate into your weapons through the new cell system, optimizing their abilities.
Join other players in the hunt
The “Region Hunts” are also new. These are hunts that take you and your friends to a specific area. There, you need to find and eliminate several monsters. To find a suitable group, the “Sharpen your Skills” update will also revamp the matchmaking.
But that’s not all: If you’re excited for rewards, dive into the daily challenges that offer you plenty of loot.
Wait, there’s more!
Shortly after the release of the “Sharpen your Skills” update on December 8, the Frostfall event begins, introducing unique challenges and seasonal items. The exact start date for this event will be announced later.
Regarding the War Pike as a new weapon that you can use in melee as well as from a distance, along with different damage types for various weapon categories, we have already reported.

The first Raid Lair of Destiny 2 is not available directly at the launch of Curse of Osiris. However, first footage of this new activity has appeared, looking promising.
Normally, very little is known about the new raid before a Destiny release. One does not know where it takes place, against whom one is fighting, and how the mechanics work; this is only known after it goes live. The raids are closely guarded secrets by Bungie that players are allowed to explore entirely on their own once they are live.
The raid activity for Curse of Osiris is an exception. It is already known where the “new raid” will take place – and with the release of the launch trailer for Curse of Osiris, we unexpectedly got to see many scenes from it.
It should be noted: The new raid activity in Curse of Osiris is not a completely new raid. It is a “Raid Lair”, a new activity that is called “Raid-Trakt” in German. This means: The existing Leviathan raid is being expanded with a new lair.
And how it looks in there is shown in this Imgur gallery, which summarizes all the scenes of the raid lair from the launch trailer:

With the first DLC Curse of Osiris, the first lair called “World Eater” will be released.
With the second DLC, another lair will be added. There is no information about it yet.
This image shows how the raid overview will look with Curse of Osiris. In the center, the “normal raid” can be played, to the left the World Eater lair can be started. And to the right, the second lair is grayed out.
The World Eater lair also takes place on the Leviathan, but below the previous raid encounters. It goes into the “belly” of the Leviathan. The entrance to this lair is already known: The new lair is said to be shorter than the previous raid. Although it offers new activities and new locations with unique encounters, puzzles, and a new final boss, the new raid content will not be as extensive as the previous Leviathan raid. However, there should be many opportunities to die. It is said to be more difficult than the previous raid.
The reward will be new loot in the form of weapons, armor pieces, and cosmetic items.
When it became known that the previous raid would “only” be expanded, many Guardians reacted with frustration. They hoped for a new, big raid.
However: The Crota raid from Destiny 1 also consisted “only” of new locations, a few encounters, and a big boss at the end. The description of the raid lair suggests that it will be roughly as extensive as the Crota raid.
And: The new footage from the launch trailer is now positively influencing many Guardians. The raid lair looks really vast and “epic”. There may be tricky jumping sections to master. The shown setting at least makes one eager for more. Some users are writing on reddit that they can hardly wait to see the lair. We have marked the spot in the trailer:

The raid lair will be played in a fireteam of up to 6 players.
When does the World Eater Raid Lair start?
The raid lair is still closed at the launch of Curse of Osiris. At the beginning of December, community manager DeeJ tweeted that you will have a few days after the launch of the expansion before the lair opens.
A few hours ago, DeeJ announced that we will find out “Wednesday morning” when the raid lair will start. This should be in the evening on our Wednesday.
As soon as there is a concrete release date, you will find out with us.
In Final Fantasy XIV, since Patch 4.15, you can create your own music as a Bard. It initially sounded terrible. However, there are now a few truly outstanding artists who have established themselves.
When Update 4.15 came to the servers of Final Fantasy XIV, the streets of the cities in FFXIV were filled with terrible harp strumming. Hundreds of aspiring virtuosos of the Bard class pulled out their instruments and started strumming like there was no tomorrow. Square Enix had introduced the new “Perform” action for Bards. This allowed musicians to finally play their own melodies at will.
However, most string torturers have since stopped, and the best Bards have created truly wonderful melodies.
Create classic Final Fantasy motifs yourself!
Since Square Enix prohibits playing copyrighted songs by third parties in the game, many Bards limit themselves to classic pieces from Final Fantasy games. You can admire the best Bards from Final Fantasy XIV showcasing their works on YouTube. For example, the Bard Solaris White has played the cheerful Chocobo theme on his harp.

Many Bards are not pleased that they only have a single audio track in the game. Therefore, MintormentGaming simply combined various recordings on YouTube into a complete piece of “Matoya’s Cave”.

Some Bards even go further and layer their multi-track recordings with additional sound effects from the game to create percussion. Windy FFXIV created an interesting version of the Alexander boss theme.

The Bard ADZDarkStone, on the other hand, is already famous for his complex compositions, which he records and edits with multiple audio tracks. Listen here to “Battle of the Big Bridge”.

These beautiful performances are certainly far from the clumsy screeches of the early days. Have you created any real hits with the Bard’s harp in Final Fantasy XIV?
