Skeleton Forts are basically the raids of Sea of Thieves. We take a closer look at what awaits brave pirates.
The recently released pirate MMO Sea of Thieves (Xbox One & PC) offers a lot of fun on the high seas at first glance. However, it can also get quite dark and creepy at times when skull clouds suddenly appear and the raid calls!
One of the in-game activities in the pirate adventure are the Skeleton Forts, where a horde of enemies and great treasures await. However, these treasures still need to be brought onto your own ship.
Skeleton Forts as Raids or Public Events
Active Skeleton Forts are announced in Sea of Thieves by a huge skull cloud. Since you are not alone on the high seas, speed is now of the essence: All players nearby can also see the cloud and are just as eager for the waiting treasures as you are.
The forts are usually located on remote islands that are overrun by cursed skeletons as soon as they are active. Waves of enemies must now be defeated until the main villain shows up: the Skeleton Captain.
Once this powerful skeleton boss is defeated, it drops a key that opens a huge treasure chamber. But beware! Usually, there are so many treasures that even a full crew cannot bring them all onto their ship in one go. And the opponents are just waiting for their chance…
Constant Danger from Other Pirate Crews
As previously mentioned, all other players nearby can also see the skull cloud and may soon head to the island.
If you are lucky, other ship crews might help you get rid of the skeleton plague. Ideally, the other players are satisfied with a portion of the loot. Perhaps the temptation is too great and your newly acquired allies will betray you.
In the worst case, you have to fight the skeletons alone, only to find yourselves surrounded by loot-hungry human opponents after your hard work.
Here in the video, you can see what happens when the skull cloud appears on the horizon:

Learn here how and when the Deviljho comes to Monster Hunter World and in which quests it appears. The new monster comes with update 2.00 (PS4) / 2.0.0.0 (Xbox One) and is part of the first free DLC. These are the patch notes.
The Deviljho arrives on March 22 at 1 AM in Monster Hunter World. The new monster is a brutal fight wyvern that is always hunting for meat, as it is constantly suffering from hunger.
“The Lord of the Food Chain” – This is the special Deviljho quest
Together with the major update for both consoles, a special quest will also be added to Monster Hunter World: “The Lord of the Food Chain”. Much is not yet known about this quest. It is already certain, however, that the Deviljho will surprisingly interfere in other quests and investigations starting from the update.
This is how the Deviljho will come into play
Deviljho will appear once the investigation “??? Rathian” of the main story is completed
From then on, Deviljho will interfere in 6-star quests, 7-star quests, and high-rank expeditions
Once “certain conditions” are met, the special quest for the Deviljho will be unlocked. What those conditions are is currently unknown.
The Deviljho is, just like the Bazelgeuse, a nomad and has no fixed location. So you can expect it to randomly appear on any map in the game starting from the update. Of course, as long as you meet the aforementioned prerequisites.
With the new monster, there will also be new equipment to craft. Additionally, a new item will make its way into the game. There are:
New Deviljho Weapons
A new special tool, the Dragon Protection Mantle
The new Armor Sets “Vangis” α and β
Deviljho Set α
Deviljho Set β
Patch Notes 2.00/2.0.0.0 – The Gameplay Changes Await You
The Deviljho is clearly the star of this update. However, there are some gameplay adjustments that hunters will likely appreciate. For example, the loot troll problem has been resolved.
This is changing with the Deviljho update:
Data processing has been optimized to reduce loading times.
The function “Remove from Online Session” has been added to the player list.
“Return to Gathering Hub” (solo mode) and “Dissolve and Return to Gathering Hub” (multiplayer mode) have been added to the options under “Select Return Point” after a quest.
The “Text Size” setting for subtitle size has been added under Main Menu > Options > Interface.
In the “Online Session” menu, the name for the command “Hunting Group Session Search” has been changed to “Create/Search Hunting Group Session” (though the function itself has not changed).
Allied attacks no longer interrupt the carving animation. Additionally, players are now immune to all hit reactions (including bombs!) during the carving animation after quest completion.
The display of the scout beetle level (which is linked to the monster research level) now decreases less sharply after each quest.
The game version is now displayed on the game’s title screen. (For this update – PS4: 2.00; Xbox One: 2.0.0.0)
Weapon Balance Adjustments
Almost all weapons have received adjustments with this update. Here is a quick overview:
Great Sword: Damage of some charged attacks increased.
Long Sword: Improvement of input timing for foresight slash and better hitbox detection
Required Storage: How Much Space You Need on PS4 and Xbox
PlayStation 4: Approximately 610 MB
Xbox One: Approximately 600 MB
If you are updating Monster Hunter World for the first time with the update, all previous updates will also be installed. For both consoles, the data transfer will then be about 4.2 GB and will require 1.4 GB of free space.
The Pokémon GO Easter Event 2018 begins on March 22 and brings cool bonuses related to eggs. We will tell you when the event starts and what it features.
Trainers, we have already reported about a leak for Pokémon GO that predicted the new event. Now it is official, and Niantic confirms that the Easter Event with many rewards will start on March 22. Here you will find everything you need to know about the egg event.
Pokémon GO Easter Event – Start and End
The kick-off for the egg event in Pokémon GO is on Thursday, March 22 at 9:00 PM German time. The chances of certain Pokémon hatching are increased during the event. Pokémon like Pichu and Togepi are expected to be found more often in the eggs.
The developers explain that even more different monsters will hatch from the 2KM eggs.
At the PokéStops, there will only be 2KM eggs during the Easter Event. However, there is a chance that monsters will hatch from the 2KM eggs that usually only hatch from 5KM or 10KM eggs. Niantic mentioned Isso and Trasla as examples.
As a reward, there is a bonus for every egg hatched for the spawned monster. Throughout the event, you will receive double the amount of Stardust. The in-game shop will be equipped with new special boxes. These will help you hatch with items like Super Incubators or Star Pieces.
When does the Easter Event in Pokémon GO end?
The event lasts until April 2 at 10 PM German time and provides you with these rewards.
You should try to hatch your eggs by March 22 so that you can loot the new 2KM eggs from the PokéStops right at the start, which contain the monsters hiding in the 5KM and 10KM eggs.
Also today Wednesday, March 21, at 7 PM the new Team of the Week will be released in FUT.
Attention: Some of you will miss Cristiano Ronaldo the superstar of Real Madrid shone with 4 goals and an assist in the 6:3 victory against Girona. However, CR7 also received a “FUT Birthday” card last week. So there is already a special version of him in packs – normally EA does not give players two special cards at the same time.
This week’s TDW is rather meager aside from the highlights Mo Salah (91), Mauro Icardi (89), and Toni Kroos (92).
TOTW 27 – Ratings of the Player Cards in Ultimate Team
Starting XI:

Recommendations for small budget
In addition to the highlights, there are also players every week who are strong, but many players overlook them due to their rating, their league, or their obscurity. Thus, they could be real bargains on the transfer market.
This week, there are not many exciting cards. Only Josef Martinez (84) from Atlanta United is interesting. At first glance, he may be difficult to integrate into strong teams – after all, he is from Venezuela and plays in the MLS. However, there are now three very good midfielders from the American league with Pirlo, Kaka, and Schweinsteiger. If you want to play with these three former stars, there is now the suitable striker for it: 92 pace, 87 dribbling, 84 shooting, and 82 physical combined with 4 stars on the weak foot speak for themselves.
These were the predictions for the Team of the Week 27 in FUT
TOTW predictions are forecasts of which players would deserve a spot in the upcoming Team of the Week. Although these predictions never align 100% with the official TOTW, and it is therefore risky to act on the transfer market based on these, they nonetheless provide a good overview of which players might receive the coveted special cards.
We provide an overview of forecasts from various FIFA sites.
What is the Team of the Week (TOTW) in FIFA 18 Ultimate Team?
Every Wednesday, EA Sports unveils the Team of the Week in their annual football simulation’s “Ultimate Team” mode. This is also the case in FIFA 18. Here, players who performed excellently in real football over the past week are rewarded with special cards that have improved attributes.
You can draw the TOTW cards within a week from the sets containing Rare (Gold) players. However, the chances of this are considered low.
Furthermore, it is possible for you to buy these on the transfer market if they are offered by other players. However, prices for them are usually extremely high. If you want to buy one of the new informs for your team, it is advisable to purchase it at the beginning of the following week as they will then be cheaper.

Blizzard’s card game Hearthstone is bidding farewell to a keyword from the early days of the game. The Rampage must go.
Hearthstone has evolved significantly in the years since its release. There have been well over a thousand new cards. Many new keywords, such as “Poisonous” or “Lifesteal”, have been added, while some old ones have faded away.
One of these rarely used keywords is “Rampage”. It indicates that a minion has an additional effect as long as it is damaged. The most prominent example here is probably the Raging Worgen. It has +1 Attack and Charge as long as it is damaged and is mainly used in classic Mage decks.
Only 9 cards used Rampage in Hearthstone
However, besides the Raging Worgen, there are only 8 other cards that have ever used Rampage in the history of Hearthstone.
That is why Blizzard has now decided to remove Rampage from the game.
The existing cards will retain their effects, only the card text will be rephrased to no longer use the term “Rampage”.
In the future, Blizzard will not release any cards with such an effect anymore. It is simply too boring and it is difficult to design cards with it. Because minions do not live very long in Hearthstone, and damaged minions even less so.
Other effects that go in a similar direction create, according to Blizzard, more exciting gameplay. The Acolyte of Pain, for example, rewards the player when he manages to damage it particularly often. The same applies to the Gurubashi Berserker, which gains +2 Attack every time it is damaged – and that multiple times.
What do you think about the removal of Rampage? A good decision since the term was hardly used anymore? Or was it an exciting mechanic that could have been further developed?
World of Tanks 1.0 has finally been released and looks better than ever. With improvements in graphics and sound, the entire gameplay experience changes, although the gameplay remains the same!
I have been waiting for version 1.0 of World of Tanks for a long time. A thorough graphics update for the tank game was announced years ago. Now it’s finally here, and I was able to play the new version live in Prague at a pre-launch event.
Of course, I could have played World of Tanks 1.0 earlier on the test server. However, as Wargaming boss Viktor Kislyi wanted, I wanted to wait as long as possible to fully enjoy the new version.
So I was really looking forward to finally entering the room with the PCs in Prague after a few presentations and interviews, where World of Tanks 1.0 was waiting for me.
A Tank Stands in the Woods …
As soon as I sat down at the gaming PC, I noticed the first new feature. Beautiful tanks full of details stand in the start menu in the middle of the woods! Soldiers are bustling in the background; everything feels alive.
In the past, my machines stood around in dingy garages. Parts were everywhere, and no one was in sight. It felt like an abandoned tank base left in a hurry before Blitzkrieg. I never found the old scenery particularly motivating, whereas the new one is much more so.
But enough about the selection menu! Since I was playing on a press account, I could immediately choose the heaviest tanks and I started with a Panther II.
The Full Blast!
A match was quickly found, and the first map was loaded. But it wasn’t the graphics that impressed me first; it was the sound! The intros for the maps have always been impressive, but for 1.0, the sound engineers at Wargaming have done something truly extraordinary.
In 1.5 years, and with the support of the Prague Symphony Orchestra and numerous other artists, atmospheric soundtracks were created that perfectly capture the vibe of each map.
Music Like from a Movie
So also in the map that just opened: Overlord. The map shows the landing site of the Allies in Normandy, and the intro sounds majestic and somehow sad. It also reminds me of the soundtrack from the movie “Saving Private Ryan”.
Later maps impressed me with other excellent intros, including the African desert map El Halluf, inspired by traditional Berber music, or the Scandinavian sounds in “Fjords”.

The Paris map, on the other hand, presents a martial version of the Marseillaise, and “Ruinberg” was inspired by the compositions of Johann Sebastian Bach. The Soviet map “Prokhorovka” patriotically calls for battle for Mother Russia, and the Greek music in Cliffs immediately makes me crave gyros, souvlaki, and ouzo!

No sooner has the last sound of the intro faded, the battle begins, and the music subtly takes a back seat. The theme of the map is still audible, but less intrusive. Moreover, it dynamically adapts to the situation of the battle. Since nothing has happened yet, the music remains neutral. If the tide turns, the music becomes more threatening or confidently plays in the background when our team gains the upper hand.
But the true star of the soundscape is the many effects that ring out just after the round starts. Suddenly, hundreds of horsepower engines roar in the steel colossi, and with rattling tracks, our team sets off. Effects and music play perfectly together, and I get shivers down my spine.
Soon the thunder of the guns is added, and grenades whistle through the air at supersonic speed. Next to us, a shell strikes with a loud bang. Another projectile hits the angled hull of my tank and ricochets off with a high-pitched screech.
This is how a battle should sound!
The New Graphics are Deadly!
The sound of the new version has already turned out extremely well and provides – especially when you play it for the first time – for a completely different gaming experience. Is this really still the same World of Tanks? Graphically, you can hardly believe it. Already, 25 maps shine in a new splendor and look fantastic.
Especially the new map “Glacier” in 1.0 is a real visual delight! The map is a frozen glacier in the far north. Around a frozen bay lie the gloomy wrecks of destroyed warships. Just as if an epic naval battle in World of Warships had recently gone badly for one side.
Oh My God, the Ice is Breaking!
Before me lies the already mentioned frozen bay, and I drive carefree onto it with my ton-heavy Tiger II. I think to myself, “Lol, the ice should actually break under the weight”.
Then I suddenly see cracks spreading in the ice around my tank! Out of fright, I stop and watch with morbid fascination as my tank stands in the middle of a mesh of cracks. That was a mistake!
Because the ice doesn’t break – it’s just a graphic effect. But my enemies take aim at me and shoot my poor tank to smithereens. So the ice actually killed me!
Wonder Instead of Fighting!
In any case, the graphics and the new Havoc physics effects constantly distract me from the battle. Yes, I should bravely stand by my comrades at the front. But I’m just having too much fun exploring the maps and testing the new effects.
Among other things, I do the following:
I spend an entire round flattening all the little stone walls around the English farmhouses on the British map “Redshire”. The stones fly around my tank correctly according to physics; it’s a joy!
On the desert map “El Halluf”, I enjoy speeding through the dunes with a scout tank so much that I flip over at a slope.
In “Mines”, I shoot at standing tractors to bits and crash through a shed at full speed! The shed spectacularly flies apart in all directions! Yeah!
Another time, I drive through a pond at 70! The bow wave sprays away from my tank!
The new core engine looks simply great and creates numerous cool details on the screen. Projectiles hit the ground, causing dirt to splash and leaving small craters. Irregularities in the ground are correctly absorbed by the tank tracks’ suspension, and grass and water are pressed down by the shockwave of our muzzle energy.
However, all these effects are purely cosmetic. If you don’t let yourself be distracted, they provide no gameplay advantages or disadvantages. Furthermore, World of Tanks is supposed to run on the same machines as the old version with the new engine.
But probably not with the new ultra settings in graphics.
Conclusion: World of Tanks as I Always Wanted It!
When I played the new version of World of Tanks 1.0 for the first time, it truly felt like I was experiencing the game anew. Sure, fundamentally, it really is the exact same game. Nothing has changed in the gameplay. Everything still runs as before.

But it “feels” like a completely new game. I was almost glad when I got killed because I could immediately see a new map with new music, effects, and settings.
And the new animations on the tanks, as well as the extremely cool sound effects, further contribute to making the “new” World of Tanks feel like a different, more modern game. I’m already looking forward to many battles in the new engine!
Maybe we’ll meet on the battlefield; I’m certainly the tank that always destroys the terrain and stares fascinated at shell craters!

Sea of Thieves has only recently been released, but it is already causing discussions about a lack of content. Players are concerned that there simply isn’t enough to do in the pirate adventure.
The release of Sea of Thieves took place on March 20th and leaves some players unsatisfied.
There is discussion about why one should even return to the game after a few hours of play. Too little content and customization options are worrying fans.
Too Few Customization Options
On Reddit, players are writing that the customization options in Sea of Thieves are too limited for them. “I would achieve my ideal character look after only a few purchases […] after that, it’s just more grinding to become a pirate legend,” writes Reddit user magvadis, who is disappointed with the customization offerings in Sea of Thieves.
User Axisrahl85 adds, “I am a defender of this game, but I was also a bit disappointed by the few [customization] options that were presented. I would have thought we would see much more than what was in the final beta.”
In the thread, it is often read that players wished for more cosmetic options after the beta phases, but compared to the beta, practically only the price has changed. “Just increasing the price of cosmetic items tenfold is not an addition of content,” writes user Petrel_. “This isn’t new gameplay or content you’ve added. It’s just lazy.”
Source: Reddit user Cryptobiologist
Buyers of the game are unsure what long-term goals to pursue in Sea of Thieves. Achieving legend status, essentially the big goal, likely involves a lot of grinding. And what else does one earn gold for, if the cosmetic options are limited? Many players already consider Sea of Thieves fun but wish for more content.
More Content is Already on the Agenda
The website IGN received a response from Rare to the current concerns. Sea of Thieves Producer Joe Neate addressed the longevity concerns of the game. He stated Sea of Thieves was always intended to be a game that grows and evolves. The developers will continue to release new cosmetic options as part of this growth.
New mechanics and “ways to play” are also part of these ongoing updates. The focus at the game’s launch is to provide a great initial experience.
After the launch, feedback from players is reviewed and acted upon accordingly. “We collaborated with the community during the development of Sea of Thieves, and that will continue exactly as after the launch,” the developers said in their statement to the US site IGN.
So, we can look forward to when and what further cosmetic options, mechanics, and “ways to play” Sea of Thieves will receive in the coming weeks or months. Do you have features in mind that you believe would enhance the game?

The Battle Royale game mode of Fortnite is more popular than ever. As new players log in daily to jump into the battle, we have gathered the most common beginner mistakes – and we explain how to avoid them!
You discovered Fortnite: Battle Royale, but you feel lost against the more experienced players? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. At its core, Fortnite: Battle Royale is a game that is easy to understand but difficult to master.
Additionally, Fortnite: Battle Royale offers a lot of tactical gameplay variants that you can use to succeed. Whether aggressively or defensively, with building fortifications or without – you can win in every conceivable way.
We show you typical beginner mistakes – and how you can avoid them!
Beginner Mistake 1: You never build anything until someone shoots at you
Aside from your hearing and what unfolds before your eyes, you receive no information about where an opponent is located. There is no radar. Those who joyfully roam through the landscape must always expect to be targeted.
Anyone who doesn’t build a wall for protection will lose 99% of confrontations. By the time you figure out where the opponent is and can even think about firing your weapon, it’s already too late.
Activate the Turbo Build Mode in the settings, this allows you to place walls, stairs, etc. as long as you hold down the build button until your resources are completely used up. If you are shot at, switch to build mode, hold down the build button, and turn around in a 360-degree circle.
Next, place a staircase to be able to look out. If you manage to locate the opponent before building, you can also simply build a wall in their direction, followed by a staircase.
Now you have placed an obstacle between you and the opponent. This gives you room not only to throw mini-shield potions. You can now observe the opponent, fire at them, and scan the environment for escape routes.
Beginner Mistake 2: You always land in the big city
It is undeniable that success in Fortnite: Battle Royale also depends on how practiced you are in dealing with opponents. Many players recommend landing in big cities to practice fights.
However, that doesn’t mean you have to land as a complete novice in Tilted Towers. If you have no idea where the weapons and treasure chests are located, which weapon you should even use, and there’s an opponent lurking around every corner – it leads to frustration, guaranteed.
First practice handling the different items that Fortnite: Battle Royale has to offer. Land in places that are less frequented and practice the shooting behavior of the weapons. Only when you master the basics regarding build mode and different weapons should you consider landing in larger cities.
A melee weapon such as a shotgun or submachine gun
A ranged weapon such as the bolt-action sniper, hunting rifle, or crossbow
If possible, an explosive weapon (grenade or rocket launcher)
Depending on the distance to the target, you can now modify your weapon choice. Try to land a hit with the sniper rifle from a distance, and use the assault rifle at medium range.
At close range, you should use a melee weapon. The explosive weapons are also very effective for smoking out enemy fortifications. The rocket launcher is also useful if you have the high ground.
Beginner Mistake 4: You want to play straight for the win
This may sound strange – but those who play right from the start with the goal of winning a round can quickly become frustrated. In fights, the practice is lacking, and the build mode hasn’t been learned yet. To avoid confrontations, many beginners therefore land at the edge of the map.
With rather mediocre loot, the beginner will scurry from cover to cover to avoid drawing attention (even bushes are popular hiding spots). Suddenly, you’re in the end game and only one opponent is left.
And now? While you are sitting in a bush, your opponent has built a fort and is starting to destroy the last covers. If you’re unlucky, you are hiding in a bush. If you’re even more unlucky, you’re hiding behind a tree.
Without a hit with a ranged weapon, you will have no chance of winning that fight. Therefore, there is no point in entering with the claim to win a game right away. Practice the fights and the build mode.
As your confidence in your skills increases, the urge to hide all the time decreases. To practice the build mode, you can land at the edge of the map (Wailing Woods), gather some wood, and build away happily.
Those who do not use a headset during a game of Fortnite: Battle Royale, turn the TV to mute, or cannot set it loud enough to hear all ambient sounds will quickly experience a rude awakening.
Since you do not get any opponents displayed on the mini-map, you are reliant on your eyes and ears. If you hear the sound poorly, you rob yourself of 50% of your senses. If you don’t hear an approaching opponent, you stand no chance of defending yourself. You will simply be shot down.
Therefore, use a headset, preferably with surround sound. If you hear from which direction an opponent is approaching, you can prepare and react accordingly.
Do you think of any other beginner mistakes you made at the beginning?
If the leaks and hints are to be believed, the story of the upcoming 2nd expansion for Destiny 2 will revolve around a Warmind and a mysterious woman named Ana Bray on Mars. Will the Warmind be our new adversary?
Recently, rumors surrounding the second expansion for Destiny 2 have accumulated with supposed details. While official information is still scarce, it is becoming increasingly likely that the story will revolve around a Warmind and a woman named Ana Bray and send the Guardians to Mars.
A new emblem found in the data of Destiny 2 has further corroborated this assumption.
The following details can be gleaned from the description:
The second expansion “The Fallen Warmind” continues the journey of your Guardian in new story missions on a new planet – Mars. Rasputin has mysteriously vanished, Ana Bray returns to the Last City and warns of a dark uprising on Mars.
Uncover the conspiracy surrounding his disappearance, prevent the rise of a corrupted Warmind, and bring the truth about the Collapse to light. Explore Mars and the Deep Stone Crypt beneath its surface…
But what are Warminds? Who is Rasputin? And who will be the new adversary? Here is an overview:
Who or what are the Warminds in the Destiny universe?
Warminds are extremely powerful artificial intelligences that watched over humanity and its colonies during the Golden Age. These AIs were so complex and intelligent that even the Vex could not properly simulate them or predict their actions, even though they were fully capable of calculating multiple possible future outcomes.
During the Golden Age, a whole series of Warminds were created. In the form of vast networks of planetary defense systems, weapon installations, and countless war satellites, these AIs monitored and coordinated the safety and defense of the entire solar system.
When the Collapse of the Golden Age began, Warminds formed humanity’s primary defense line. They fought on the front lines against the Darkness but ultimately lost this battle.
The majority of the Warminds were destroyed in the battles after the Collapse. However, they were not completely annihilated.
What threat will the Guardians face in the 2nd DLC?
Both the previous hints and the potential name of the second expansion “The Fallen Warmind” – the Fallen Warmind – suggest that a Warmind will be at the center of the story surrounding DLC II.
Furthermore, the authentically sounding article description states that, during the story, one must also prevent the rise of a corrupted Warmind. Therefore, it is highly likely that a Warmind will also serve as the antagonist in the upcoming expansion.
In the Destiny universe, there are two specifically mentioned Warminds: Rasputin and Charlemagne.
Rasputin is the only AI known to have survived. However, the very fact that Rasputin is still active continues to fuel hopes among the Guardians that it might be possible to bring other Warminds online as well.
Rasputin – the last Warmind
Rasputin is the name of the last remaining Warmind from the Golden Age of humanity – stationed in the Cosmodrome on Earth.
Among his peers, Rasputin was unique. The fact that at first contact with the Darkness he was able to initiate a self-defense protocol to take over the defense of the entire solar system highlights his special status among the Warminds.
Side by side with other AIs, he fought for humanity during the Collapse. At the Black Garden, he used all available technologies to repel the Darkness. However, it proved to be too powerful in the end.
As more and more Warminds were destroyed throughout the Collapse, and it became clear that the Darkness could no longer be stopped, Rasputin entered a kind of hibernation as the last remaining AI. And there he learned.
After abandoning the defense of the remaining human civilization and thus leaving billions of people to die, he learned in a quasi standby mode from exactly the enemy he was supposed to destroy – the Darkness.
He remained unharmed for many years until he was discovered by a Guardian. When the massive high-performance radar system in the Cosmodrome was reactivated as part of the story of Destiny 1, he seized the opportunity and restored himself and his influence by gaining access to the long-forgotten planetary defense network, including the remaining weapons and technologies.
Since this network has largely become non-functional since the Collapse, Rasputin’s influence was initially limited to the Cosmodrome. Since the radar system was reactivated, his presence now extends to Mars.
Rumors suggest that Rasputin even secretly fought the Vex and Cabal with Golden Age technologies there after regaining control.
Rasputin’s motives after his hibernation are difficult to understand. He has not responded to attempts at contact from the Vanguard. They still consider him an ally of humanity, but with a significant amount of skepticism.
Most Guardians are afraid of what Rasputin might have learned during his sleep and wonder whether his new intentions are still friendly. Because it increasingly seems that he has reconsidered his priorities during his deep sleep.
Rasputin seems to have realized that he was once merely a servant and war instrument of an inferior master – humanity – and now he has apparently learned to be more. The resulting consequences for humanity are difficult to assess.
Charlemagne – the original Mars Warmind
Concept art of Charlemagne’s vault
Little is known about Charlemagne. What is certain is that he was a Warmind who was destroyed during the Collapse. His bunker was apparently located beneath the Dust Palace on Mars.
Charlemagne was originally intended to be a core part of the storyline of Destiny 1, but was completely removed from the game during the ongoing development like many other parts of the story.
Only a few remaining references in Destiny 1 suggest that this Warmind is still a part of the Destiny universe.
These speculations have gained some traction through some leaks. Charlemagne is said to actually be the corrupted Warmind on Mars and the main culprit for Rasputin’s disappearance. While parts of the leak, such as the name of the second expansion, have already been refuted, possible details regarding the story have remained almost unchanged to this day.
Since official information about the 2nd expansion has been lacking, this question cannot be definitively answered. From a lore perspective, the opaque and almost sinister Warmind Rasputin, with his intriguing story, would be a perfect fit as a new antagonist.
However, the fact that Charlemagne was already planned for the story of Destiny 1 and apparently cut with many other content suggests that Bungie could exploit these seemingly already available resources for the second DLC.
As the story will likely take place on Mars, the Mars Warmind would also be well suited for the role of the corrupted villain.
After the upcoming update 1.1.4, scheduled for March 27, 2018, official information should not take long to arrive. After this update milestone, Bungie is expected to fully focus on DLC promotion.
What do you think? Will a Warmind be our adversary in the second expansion? And if so – which one?
For The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, PS4, Xbox One) a new chapter is coming soon. In a livestream on March 21, 2018, the location and more details will be revealed. But what do you expect from the stream? How should it continue in ESO?
The Morrowind chapter was well received especially by veterans of the Elder Scrolls series and perfectly conveyed the atmosphere and mood of the alien island of Vvardenfell. Additionally, there were new elements for content-hungry players with the new Warden class, PvP battlegrounds, and the new raid.
But what is on the agenda this time?
What could come as the next chapter?
The location of the new chapter is still officially secret, but the hints are more than clear. Data miners have long found some files in the game files that clearly point to specific locations and features.
The location is said to be the Summerset Isles, the homeland of the High Elves
The mysterious order of the Psijic Mystics will be involved. A new class or at least a new skill line is suspected if you join the order
The Sload, disgusting slug-like creatures, are finally supposed to appear. So far, only one specimen of this race has been seen in the Elder Scrolls game “Redguard”.
The Daedric Prince Mephala is rumored to play a role, as she is part of the “Daedric Triad” that has featured in past ESO DLCs.
There are solid hints for the feature of spell crafting. This will allow you to create your own spells. Spell crafting has been mentioned repeatedly for years and is still said to be in planning.
The new chapter – New shores instead of nostalgia?
If the Summerset Isles indeed become the new location of the chapter, it will introduce a new region that has hardly been seen in previous Elder Scrolls games. After all, the xenophobic High Elves strongly ensure that no non-elves roam their islands.
Unlike all the nostalgic immersion of Morrowind, the new chapter might introduce previously unknown regions and stories. But what do you think? What are your wishes and expectations for the next expansion of ESO? Let us know in the comments.
And don’t forget that tonight at 9:00 PM we will be covering the topic live on stream with a live ticker here at Mein-MMO. Here’s the summary of the live stream.
The game Fortnite is now available on iOS phones and is making an incredible amount of money. The Chinese battle royale clones of PUBG, Knives Out, and Rules of Survival fall far behind. The special thing is: The earnings are from a cash shop that offers purely cosmetic items.
In just 72 hours, Fortnite generated $1.5 million (about €1.2 million) worldwide with the mobile version. This is known from the website Sensor Tower, which relies on data and estimates.
It was an invitation event, meaning one had to be invited and could not just start
And Fortnite has a tame “cosmetics only” cash shop, where skins can be purchased and the battle pass that promises even more skins
With these $1.5 million in the first 4 days on iOS, it significantly surpasses the Chinese mobile competition in the battle royale games. NetEase has dominated the mobile market with “Knives Out” and “Rules of Survival” so far. These are clear variations of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
Pokemon GO was more successful, but also has a tougher cash shop
However, Fortnite does not rank in the top regions of the eternal leaderboard with $1.5 million.
When comparing game launches from the last two years, Pokemon GO ($4.9 million) and Clash Royale ($4.6 million) were stronger in the first 4 days on iOS.
However, they also have cash shops that contain items that directly affect gameplay.
How do you like Fortnite on iOS so far? Are you getting along with the controls?

In the case of the notorious frog Pepe, Overwatch shows no mercy. Images of him may not be used by players.
Blizzard does not want Overwatch professionals to use certain images – not even on social media. This was recently experienced by Jay “Sinatraa” Won from the San Francisco Shock team, who sent out a tweet to celebrate his 18th birthday. He used an image of the controversial frog “Pepe” – this was a thorn in the side of the Overwatch League. The tweet was deleted at Blizzard’s request.

The controversial frog Pepe – a meme that has fallen into disrepute.
The green frog Pepe, who has appeared in numerous memes over the past few years, originally had nothing to do with racism or the “Alt Right” movement. He was part of the comic “Boy’s Club” and was later incorporated into (fundamentally positive) memes, such as the “Feels Good Man” meme, which was very present for a long time.
It was only in recent years that Pepe became increasingly associated with racist remarks and the “Alt Right” movement.
What was initially thought to be a joke by members of 4chan and others, by attributing racist statements to Pepe with dark humor, was later picked up by the American media and has since been firmly associated with right-wing extremist ideas.
It is therefore understandable that Blizzard does not want to have anything to do with such statements and views. After all, Overwatch stands for the diversity of different cultures and ways of life.
In the past, images of Pepe have been kept out of the Overwatch League. Two fans who were present at the opening of the Overwatch League, for example, had to surrender a poster featuring the frog so that it would not be held up in front of the camera.
Do you think it is good that such memes or offensive remarks are banned from the social media of Overwatch players? Do these players have a role model function? Or should they be allowed to do whatever they want on their Twitter accounts?
Black Desert Online (PC) may come to the Xbox One console possibly in summer 2018. And perhaps the planned mobile version could also be released for the Nintendo Switch. Black Desert on the PlayStation 4 is also planned, but there is no new information regarding a release.
Black Desert Online is a beautiful sandbox MMORPG with action gameplay and impressive character editor. All this splendor of Black Desert Online is set to shine soon on the Xbox One and a launch is getting closer. After all, the release is planned for 2018, but there has been no new information for months.
Black Desert to arrive on Xbox One in summer
After a dedicated teaser page for the Xbox version recently went live, the developers have now further specified the release date for the console version.
At GDC 2018, the website Dualshockers asked Robin Jung, the CEO of Black Desert developers Pearl Abyss, about the Xbox release and the PS4 version of the game. They mentioned that they are looking at summer as a possible launch date for the Xbox version.
Update 11.8.: It is now known that Black Desert will start beta on Xbox One in autumn 2018.
PS4 version of Black Desert planned, but only after Xbox One
The PlayStation version of Black Desert Online is still planned, but there is nothing new to report. Developing first for the Xbox was purely a business decision and has nothing to do with technical reasons.
Pearl Abyss has a partnership with Microsoft, hence the porting to Xbox One takes precedence.
Black Desert Mobile might also come to Nintendo Switch!
An even more interesting idea is currently being pursued by Pearl Abyss. According to Jung, they are considering bringing the mobile version of Black Desert Online to Nintendo’s Switch console as well. After all, the gameplay on the Switch is comparable to playing mobile games on a phone or tablet. However, so far this is just an idea, and there are no concrete plans yet.
A leak about the Easter event 2018 in Pokémon GO indicates that soon we may see egg surprises, more candies, and more stardust.
Trainers have been wondering for several days how Pokémon GO will celebrate Easter this year. A leak now reveals what Niantic is allegedly planning. Specifically, special 2KM eggs and more candies. Similar to the Easter event from last year.
Please note that this is just a leak. Niantic has not officially announced the event yet, so there is no guarantee. Even if there are many reasons to believe so.
On the morning of March 21, reports are piling up in the Pokémon GO community about an upcoming Easter event. This is not unusual, but it has not been officially announced by the developers yet. Among other things, dataminers have now found crucial hints indicating an egg event.
Dataminer Chrales from the PogoDev team has uncovered many details from Pokémon GO in the past before Niantic could announce them. For instance, new shiny forms or new species that were unlocked in the game shortly thereafter. Now he has found these hints for an egg festival in Pokémon GO:
The egg festival from 2017 is returning this year and is expected to start on March 22 around 9:00 PM. During this event, a greater variety of monsters should be found in the 2KM eggs. During the event time, only 2KM eggs will be available at PokéStops.
This means that Pokémon that usually hatch from 5KM and 10KM eggs, such as Isso or Trasla, can also be found in 2KM eggs.
Additionally, there should be more candies as a reward for each egg hatched.
During the event, there will be double the amount of stardust (Note: This may only apply to hatching eggs).
In the shop, there will be special offer boxes with super incubators and star pieces to make the event even more rewarding for you.
The event is said to end on April 2 at 9:00 PM German time according to the leak. We want to reiterate that you should temper your excitement since this event has not been officially announced yet.Update at the beginning of the article.
The MMORPG Black Desert Online (PC) has now been on the market in the West for 2 years. To celebrate the anniversary, you can test the sandbox MMORPG for free. But what kind of game is Black Desert and is it worth it for you?
So what is Black Desert and why should you play it?
Black Desert Online, the great beautiful MMORPG sandbox!
Black Desert Online is a large, complex, and beautiful sandbox MMORPG. Unlike World of Warcraft, SWTOR, or Guild Wars 2, you don’t grind through various areas linearly and follow a storyline that leads you straight to the endgame with elite dungeons and raids.
Such things don’t exist in Black Desert.
You do follow a story, but it’s barely worth mentioning. Also, you will search in vain for raids and dungeons. Instead, you can unleash yourself in PvP, grind resources or experience points, and write your own very personal stories in roleplay.
The gaming experience arises from your own goals. For example, you set out to finally find a horse. Then you start and google what you need: sugar and a lasso. And before you know it, you’re knee-deep in farming in Black Desert and have to deal with brewing beer because you’ve somehow started to build an economy chain, and the workers insist on drinking beer to do their job.
Grinding and farming with fun
But besides crafting and exploring the sandbox, Black also offers classic PvE – beating monsters.
However, unlike most MMORPGs, there is no classic level cap in Black Desert Online. So it’s not over at some point. Instead, you level up quickly to about level 50, then it becomes a slow grind to level 56, and after that, it gets brutal. From level 60 onward, grinding for new levels becomes almost inhumanly tough.
But thanks to the action-packed and well-thought-out combat system, grinding and farming is a lot of fun. Each of the 15 classes masters numerous skills and combos.
New weapons and skills for the “endgame”
Also, starting from level 56, you can equip a special new “Awakening weapon” that unlocks new possibilities depending on your character. For instance, the ranger turns into a melee fighter or the tanky warrior with the two-handed sword suddenly becomes a DPS class.
Recently, there are also ways to use the old weapons and skills meaningfully. With the new absolute skills, you have strong versions of regular abilities and the skill fusion “Rabam’s Enlightenment” allows you to create a new combo ability from two old skills.
Trade and crafting
As a sandbox MMORPG, Black Desert Online offers you a lot of activities outside of combat. You can rent houses and production facilities like workshops and farms all over the world. Your workers will then toil away and produce goods or items.
You can then load the stuff onto your donkey cart and make a fat profit at remote locations around the world. Like in other sandboxes like EVE Online or ArcheAge, the economy is optimally in players’ hands.
Also cool: There are tons of life skills. These are skills that meaningfully enrich the game. This includes fishing, milking cows, and breeding horses.
PvP is important
If you don’t like grinding, you can let loose in PvP. There, guilds can engage in wars against other player groups and besiege fortresses. If you don’t belong to a guild, you can temporarily join one of the two sides as a militia.
A major feature of Black Desert Online has always been the excellent graphics. The game is one of the most beautiful MMORPGs available. It all starts in the editor, where you can spend hours until you have your dream hero. Only a gender and race lock prevents you from trying everything.
In the game itself, the graphics are no less impressive than in the editor. There are beautiful landscapes, picturesque marine areas, weather effects, and atmospheric day/night transitions. Black Desert is still a visual treat!
Is that….Geralt? A touch of The Witcher in Black Desert Online.
Is Black Desert right for me?
Black Desert Online is a complex game that has many aspects and does not necessarily appeal to every type of player equally. Therefore, we have summarized the pros and cons of the game for you here.
Black Desert is the right game for you if you…
want to enjoy breathtaking graphics
have fun creating characters in the editor for hours
prefer a complex action combat system
enjoy a hearty grind
are a PvP fan
want to immerse yourself in roleplay
like economic and trading simulations
want to have fun with housing, crafting, and life skills
like to play events and special occurrences
generally prefer sandbox MMOs and want to delve into a truly complex game
Black Desert Online is less suitable for players who…
are fans of classic tab-targeting combat systems, for whom action combat is too hectic
reject gender and race locks and would like to play all classes with any race and gender
abhor RNG in connection with cash shop items. Those wanting to breed pets, for example, will have to buy them with real money and hope for good results in breeding.
want a complex and engaging story in an MMORPG
cannot stand hours of grinding and farming
want simple and intuitive gameplay. Black Desert is very complex!
are fans of theme park MMOs with endgame raids and dungeons

A piece of history from WoW is disappearing. The option of the Master Loot will be removed in Battle for Azeroth.
Blizzard has decided to remove a long-standing loot option in World of Warcraft. With Battle for Azeroth, the classic Master Loot will no longer exist. Instead, the Personal Loot system will take its place.
Whoever has played World of Warcraft only for a few years and has never played in an organized raid group will not know the principle of Master Loot. In raid groups, it was common – and still is today to some extent – for the group leader to determine the distribution of loot. They have the sole right to loot a defeated boss and can distribute the items to the corresponding players afterward.
The Master Loot no longer fits in World of Warcraft
Blizzard has several reasons for removing Master Loot.
The first reason is that Master Loot is a leftover relic from past days. This loot form is no longer current, usually takes more time, and is often associated with other player-created systems, such as DKP systems.
The second reason only affects a very small portion of players, namely the large professional guilds at the top of the world. They use something called “Split-Raiding” to inundate individual players with particularly many items. Usually, these are Twink raids, where 1-2 mains come along, who are then showered with items until the best possible gear for the “main raid” is available.
The loot from Personal Loot can still be traded to other players, provided they have at least one item of similar strength – just as is already the case in Personal Loot.
However, this information is currently based only on the Alpha and the last developer Q&A. Blizzard’s opinion could still change by the launch.
Cortyn says: At first, I was somewhat outraged by the removal of Master Loot, after all, it was used for a long time in the early years. But after some thought, I also come to the conclusion: It simply isn’t needed in today’s World of Warcraft anymore. For most players, there will hardly be any change, and for the professionals, the incentive for Split-Raiding will at least be lower.
What do you think about the changes? Does the current WoW still need a “Master Loot”? Or is “Personal Loot” already perfect the way it is?
With 1.8, The Division is more popular than ever in 2018. Many returnees and new players are drawn to Manhattan. But how do you find your way after completing the main story and reaching level 30? We show you where to start and what to pay attention to.
Up to level 30 in The Division, it’s all about gaining experience. After level 30, the goal changes; now you’re hunting for gear.
Upon reaching level 30, you have various options to upgrade your gear. From now on, the level of your gear is indicated as Gear Score. This shows how high the attributes of your gear are.
Gear Score isn’t everything in The Division
Many players who are new to the endgame are under the misconception that they need to have as high a Gear Score as possible. More important are well-suited sets and weapons. What good is a high GS if you randomly combine parts without benefiting from any set bonuses or weapon talents?
Don’t worry if your GS is low at the start. Your first priority should be to get a functioning set and good weapons with which you can then farm better gear. The Division offers several options.
What should you farm for gear?
At the beginning, there are High-End gear as well as so-called gear sets that you should keep an eye on. The more pieces you wear from a set, the more bonuses are unlocked. The simple sets are structured as follows:
World Ranks – How to influence difficulty and loot
By reaching the maximum level, you now have the five world ranks available. These are basically difficulty levels for the open world. They influence enemy level and the tier of gear you can receive, and the vendor items are adjusted accordingly.
Your goal is to advance to world rank 5 to access the best gear.
Note: Your inventory and your gear in storage influence the tier of vendor items. If you have a piece of gear whose Gear Score exceeds the maximum of a world rank, the vendor’s offerings automatically adjust.
At the respective ranks, you receive gear with the following Gear Scores:
Rank 1 = 0 – 181
Rank 2 = 182 – 203
Rank 3 = 204 – 228
Rank 4 = 229 – 255
Rank 5 = 256 – 286
You can adjust the world rank on the map as you like and thus determine how tough the enemies should be according to your skills. If you feel ready, you can simply increase the difficulty and start farming better gear immediately.
How to take your first steps after level 30
At the beginning, it is advisable to focus on
Playing missions
Taking down high-value targets
Missions – For the entry, revisit the story
Missions that you have already completed in the main story remain playable and are a good opportunity, especially on challenging difficulty, for new players to internalize the mechanics of The Division and test new gear.
Additionally: You will receive loot not only from bosses but also from regular enemies.
This may not be the most effective way to farm, but it’s fun in a group, as long as you’re not playing the same mission over and over.
High-value targets – Hunting specific enemies
Once you’ve completed all main and side missions in a district of Manhattan, you can unlock the “Search and Destroy” missions in the safehouses. In these, you only need to take down a few easier enemies. As a reward, you receive a piece of gear and target data.
With the target data, you can unlock the “High-Value” and “High-Risk” targets from the respective NPCs at the terminal (or since 1.8 also in Camp Clinton). These come in daily and weekly variants. The rewards for the weekly targets are more generous.
Here you can earn Phoenix Credits and gear, while the tougher targets guarantee gear sets. The difficulty varies depending on which mission you choose. These can be tricky, but are usually not too difficult, providing a quick way to earn gear and Phoenix Credits.
Open World Bosses – Hey, that one has a name, let’s take him down
Once you have completed all side missions, you unlock named elite bosses in the respective districts. You can kill them every four hours and in the process, earn quite a bit of gear.
You can only access Survival if you own the DLC, which you can either get through the season pass or purchase separately.
As the name suggests, Survival mode is about survival. You must, poorly equipped, advance from the outskirts of Manhattan to the center, into the Dark Zone, and extract data.
Cold, hunger, and the virus make life hard for you, and you constantly need to search for food, medicine, and clothing and upgrade your gear to survive.
If you make it to the extraction point, the dangerous Hunters will appear. They can pose problems, but also provide exciting battles.
There are other endgame activities, but these are only feasible with better gear. A well-coordinated team is usually advantageous.
These are the endgame contents for advanced players
Once you have solid gear and are familiar with the game mechanics, you can transition to the next phase of The Division’s endgame. Here you search for the best gear, take on the strongest enemies, and seek the ultimate thrill in The Division.
Raids – The mini-raids of The Division
Raids are larger missions. In total, there are four: Falcon Lost, Clear Sky, Dragon’s Nest (part of the Underground DLC), and Lost Signal (part of the Last Stand DLC).
The 4 raids are completely different, requiring different play styles and tactics. So prepare yourself well.
As a reward for completing a raid, you can receive so-called exotic containers. These contain an exotic gear piece, Phoenix Credits, Division Tech, and target data. As the name suggests, you can only get the weekly container once per week. Each raid gives you one of these valuable boxes.
Legendary Missions – Now it gets tricky
Currently, there are 3 missions with legendary difficulty in the game: Times Square Relay, Napalm Production Site, and WarrenGate Power Plant.
Enemies are much stronger, behave differently, and thus put more pressure on players. You should have good gear and a functioning team, otherwise frustration is pre-programmed.
Here too, exotic containers await you upon mission completion.
With the upcoming patches 1.8.1 and 1.8.2, more missions will receive the legendary difficulty.
Resistance – Endless waves of enemies
This mode arrived with patch 1.8 and should also be played in a team with friends. You will face endless waves of enemies that get progressively harder. Various events occur, such as boss rounds, contamination waves, and other obstacles.
To go far, you need good coordination and a rough idea of what to expect in the upcoming waves. Advanced gear should ideally be available. In our guide, you can learn more about this.
Dark Zone – Not for justice fanatics, here it’s unfair
The Dark Zone is the hallmark of The Division. It mixes PvE and PvP, creating tension and excitement, but also a lot of frustration, because:
There are numerous landmarks where elite bosses await to be taken down by you. However, all loot is contaminated. You first need to extract it at certain points in the DZ.
Players can farm good gear very quickly, but must always be on guard against rogue players. These hunt other agents either for fun or to steal loot.
Therefore, our tip here is: Find yourself a good group. This way, you are better able to defend yourself against hostile groups.
The Underground comes as a DLC into the game. Players must fulfill various mission objectives in randomly generated areas beneath the streets of New York while fighting through hordes of enemies.
With patch 1.8, the Hunters were also integrated into the Underground. They can randomly appear once per phase. They bring variety and exciting battles, and you also have higher chances for better loot.
This is one of the better ways to get gear. The difficulty can be adjusted, making the Underground beginner-friendly. You can also play the Underground alone or with other agents without much difficulty.
Final Stand and Last Stand – Structured PvP
In both PvP modes, you can earn containers by simply playing rounds. For advanced players, the contents of these boxes are usually useless, but with a bit of luck, some agents might get something useful.
Final Stand is also part of a DLC, so it’s not freely available.
The actual goal: The secret gear sets
If you’ve made it this far, you want to have the best gear in The Division.
Secret, or classified gear sets found their way into the game with 1.7. These expand the principle of previous gear sets and offer up to 6 set bonuses. These are very powerful but also rare and a loot that is worth pursuing.
How to identify secret gear
Color-wise, these are indistinguishable from normal sets, only a small white folder marks the better pieces. So be careful when disassembling, as players often report accidentally destroying several pieces.
Note: To unlock 6 bonuses of a set, you also need 6 secret pieces of that set. Normal pieces cannot be combined with them.
