In Revelation Online there is now the update First Contact. It brings new PvP content, the long-awaited German localization, and a new server for a fresh start.
The Chinese online role-playing game Revelation Online was supposed to be released in German shortly after its release. However, the localization kept getting postponed, but now it is finally here! With the new update “First Contact,” you can finally play the MMORPG by My.com in German.
And for those who want to experience the story and content in the game from the beginning in German, a new server is a welcome addition.
PvP Arenas and New Fresh Start Server
The new server for the EU is called “Emolion” and is open to all players. There, you can start fresh again and begin the game anew. Ideal for those who no longer see sunshine on the previous servers because other players are far ahead. On the new servers, everyone starts fresh. Transfers are not possible.
In the update First Contact, the following cross-server PvP innovations are included:
3vs3 Arenas: Here, there is fame and powerful gear to be won.
10vs10: Darktree Valley: To win, players choose a quest, monster hunt, or a combination of both. The arena zone is divided into two fields, one for each team. Each field has a series of PvE arena bosses that help each team uniquely. Both teams have a base, and each of the two fields has four bosses. Take out the opponents’ bosses to earn points, but also defend your own bosses!
20vs20: Blitz Attack at Iron Ridge: Here, five resource points are scattered across the map. Occupy these nodes for as long as possible and collect points for the team. The first team to earn 1,000 resource points wins the battle.
30vs30: Machine Hell: To achieve victory as a team in this large-scale battle, a 30-member team must destroy the Dragon Ball located at the top of the opposing team’s Dragon Peak.

Massive announces all Global Events for next week at the end of the birthday celebration of The Division. Before that, the Global Event Ambush will take place this weekend, and the PTS will go offline on March 23.
The State of the Game just aired on March 22. Massive kicks off the end of the anniversary month.
Next week, all 4 Global Events will run for 48 hours each, as a grand finale of the birthday celebration of The Division.
The Global Events will take place on these days:
Monday, March 26: GE Outbreak, 10:00
Wednesday, March 28: GE Assault, 10:00
Friday, March 30: GE Strike, 10:00
Sunday, April 1: GE Ambush, 10:00
If you are still missing parts for certain sets, you have another chance to try your luck. Maybe you just want a specific mask?
Before that, the Global Event Ambush will take place this weekend, where you can get the sets Hunter’s Loyalty, FireCrest, AlphaBridge, and Tactician.
Test phase on the PTS ends
Furthermore, the PTS will end after a two-week test phase. Massive thanks all agents who helped with debugging.
Since it was another State of the Game focused on community content, unfortunately, there are no other news. They want to give more attention to known streamers in future STOGs and showcase the best clips.
By April at the latest, more news is expected, as Patch 1.8.1 has been announced for this month, bringing changes to the drop chances for Classified Gear.
If you are generally interested in what awaits the agents this year, you can check the roadmap for year 3.
Are you looking forward to next week? Which events do you like the most?
For Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, Xbox One & iOS) there are two special skins that can only be obtained through a Twitch Prime membership. A black market has developed on eBay, where large quantities of such skins are being sold for real money. Somehow, real money is made out of nothing in the jungle of free subscriptions.
Anyone who has a Twitch Prime account can link it to various online games and unlock special goodies like skins. Fortnite: Battle Royale is one of those games. Twitch Prime customers can get two exclusive skins and a new glider.
Without a Prime account, there are no skins, so the skin black market on eBay is thriving.
Premium skins for about 3 euros
On eBay, some sellers are currently selling large quantities of Twitch Prime skins for Fortnite: Battle Royale. The prices are around 3 euros. Some sellers have already sold hundreds of skins and even received good ratings from customers.
Since the skins are not available as keys, but are unlocked by linking a Twitch account with Fortnite, the sellers are not selling the skins themselves. Rather, for their money, one acquires temporary access to a Twitch Prime account that has not yet been linked.
This way, buyers can presumably connect and permanently unlock their skins.
Where do all the Twitch Prime accounts come from?
It is unclear where all the Twitch Prime accounts come from.
They may be provided by users who do not play Fortnite.
There may also be bots and hacks at play, which would be stolen accounts.
Or it could be that some simply create mass fake accounts.
The website Kotaku conducted an investigation and found that it seems relatively easy to create fake Twitch Prime accounts temporarily and unlock skins with them. This works through the backdoor with Amazon Prime.
But regardless of how it works, sharing accounts is in any case prohibited and can lead to bans on Twitch.
Fortnite’s deal with Twitch Prime also boosts streamers
Twitch states that they are seeing a significant increase in players who are using Twitch Prime for the first time, receiving free loot and donating their free channel subscription to a streamer.
One of the biggest beneficiaries of this whole action is likely the streamer Ninja. His income from Twitch subscriptions has exploded. Ninja earns 500,000 US dollars a month.
How much the people earning from the Epic Twitch deal that sells bulk skins on eBay is unknown.
Catching chickens in Sea of Thieves is not that complicated. We show you where to find the chicken coop and how to use the cage.
Among the various quests in Sea of Thieves is the catching of pigs and chickens. The quest is available at the trading post, which sends you on a search for various chicken breeds. The feathered friends can appear on the different islands of the game and enjoy their life while clucking around. Until you, as a nasty pirate, catch them with a cage and profit from them.
We will show you how to find and catch the chickens here.
Finding Chickens in Sea of Thieves – Hope for Randomness
We would love to tell you an exact location where the chickens can be found, but we cannot. They spawn randomly somewhere on the islands, just like other animals.
There is no island that is guaranteed to have chickens in Sea of Thieves. According to player reports, the chance of finding chickens is higher on islands that offer much flat terrain, but these are just speculations so far.
Even on the island “Chicken Island”, there is no guarantee of having the namesake inhabitants. So you have to go island by island and keep an eye out for the chickens.
Getting a Chicken Coop – Here’s where to get the Chicken Coop
When you go searching for chickens for the first time, you will quickly notice a problem: How do you catch a chicken once you’ve found one?
To get a chicken coop, you first need to go to the trading post and accept a quest for chickens there. After that, head to your ship, where you propose this voyage. Once all crew members have agreed and the voyage is active, return to the trading post NPC.
There you will now be handed the chicken coops you need to catch the chickens. Remember that you often need several cages. You have to bring them individually from the NPC to the ship. Each coop can only hold one chicken.
Before the voyage was proposed and accepted by the crew, there is no chicken coop available from the NPC.
Now you are ready to hunt the wild chickens.
Catching Chickens in Sea of Thieves – How does it work?
Go to any island and keep an eye out for chickens. First, make sure by reading the map what kind of chicken you are supposed to catch. They come in different colors. Once you arrive on an island and have dropped anchor, it’s best to take a coop with you directly to save yourself a trip if you encounter chickens.
Found a chicken? Then rush after the animal with the coop in your hands. If you are close enough, a hint will appear in the game showing you which type of chicken is in front of you.
If you found the right chicken, you have to chase it for a few seconds while holding down the corresponding hotkey that is displayed to you in the game. On PC, this is the left mouse button (on the controller, probably A?). If you manage to keep the chicken closely followed for a few seconds while holding the hotkey, you will automatically catch it.
Once the chicken is in the coop, head back to the ship. But be careful: Don’t dive! The feathered creature struggles with that and sounds like it won’t be having fun for long. So keep it above water.
Once you’ve collected your delivery, make sure which outpost you need to take it to and that you really caught the right chickens. Both are written on the order paper. If a wrong chicken is in the cage, you can kill it with your weapons and look for a replacement.
Once you arrive at the correct outpost, you can sell the animals to the trading post NPC there.
Who The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, PS4, Xbox One) wants to try out, now has the perfect opportunity. The developers at Zenimax are giving you a free week of ESO and even throwing in some real money crowns.
The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is not a Free2Play game. If you want to play online in Tamriel, you have to buy the game once. So what to do if you just want to take a look to see if the game is worth it?
How to play The Elder Scrolls Online for free
Until March 27, you can play The Elder Scrolls Online for free on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. All you need to do is register on the official site of The Elder Scrolls Online for a platform of your choice.
After that, you can download the game and create an account. Keep in mind that you need PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold on consoles. If you have used free playtime in ESO before, you can continue where you left off.
Also cool: In addition to your free week in ESO, you get 500 crowns for the real money shop. You can buy pets, mounts, emotes, or loot boxes with those.
In World of Warcraft, First Aid is obsolete. Blizzard has now revealed what will happen to the recipes.
With Battle for Azeroth, there will be a variety of changes in World of Warcraft, especially regarding the various professions. Recipes of the main professions will be categorized differently, sorted by addon.
However, one secondary profession will be completely removed: First Aid.
First Aid had a long tradition in World of Warcraft. In Classic, The Burning Crusade, and to some extent in Wrath of the Lich King, players could heal themselves when they had no healing abilities. In some fights, such as against Illidan Stormrage in the Black Temple, guilds even required that everyone had learned the profession to better absorb area damage.
In the following addons, First Aid lost more and more importance, and today hardly anyone uses it. The healing is too low, the additional effects (like poison or bleeding removal) are insignificant.
Therefore, Blizzard is pulling the plug and completely removing the secondary profession from the game.
Alchemy and Tailoring take over First Aid
However, the recipes will not completely disappear. Blizzard has now explained what will happen to the old recipes.
All bandages will be available to tailors with Patch 8.0, who already work with fabrics.
Other items, such as antidotes, will now be crafted by alchemists.
The recipes must be relearned by players with the corresponding professions (Alchemy and Tailoring). The costs are likely to be low, as these are low-level recipes.
Whether bandages and antidotes will still hold relevant significance remains to be seen.
What do you think about the removal of First Aid in WoW? Have you still used the profession regularly? Or is the secondary profession useless and can therefore go?
The Allods team has announced a new expansion for the MMORPG Skyforge called Overgrowth, which will be released almost simultaneously for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The highlight is a new class, the Grovewalker.
Overgrowth picks up where the last content update for Skyforge left off – you have uncovered the disappearance of the flower goddess Tessa. As nature has conspired against the peoples of the world Aelion, it calls upon you for help.
An invasion army of Pythonids is on the move to destroy humanity. However, Tessa can help you and enables you to become a so-called Grovewalker. A mage who can use the forces of nature to fight his enemies. Thus, you will combat nature with nature.
Play the new class Grovewalker
Overgrowth introduces a new class to the game:
Grovewalkers use the magic of nature
Grovewalkers appear lightfooted and wear an organic armor
If Grovewalkers leave the protection of the armor, they mutate into massive battle colossi
Grovewalkers are the only class immune to the enchanting voices of the leaders of the Pythonids
New story missions tell of the goddess Tessa’s fight against the Pythonids
Release for consoles and PC almost simultaneously
The expansion Overgrowth will be released on April 11 for the PC version of the MMORPG Skyforge, followed by the versions for Xbox One on April 12 and PS4. It is now possible to pre-order the Grovewalker collector’s edition on the website. It includes:
Unlocking of the Grovewalker class
Unique costume for the class
A legendary Grovewalker weapon of the current generation
Hearthstone tempts with free card packs. But for that, it’s better to save your daily quests.
In a few weeks, the latest Hearthstone expansion “The Witchwood” will be released. A total of 135 new cards await the players, and this means that a large number of card packs must be purchased to secure the new cards.
But even before the release, Blizzard celebrates the transition to the Year of the Raven – old sets are rotating out and can no longer be played in the Standard format. This includes cards from “Whispers of the Old Gods,” “One Night in Karazhan,” and “Gadgetzan” – all cards from these expansions will only be playable in Wild mode.
Year of the Raven brings free packs
To celebrate the beginning of the new year, Blizzard has come up with a special event that offers a total of 14 free card packs!
Because anyone who completes a daily quest between March 27 and April 9 will receive a free card pack.
The card packs can come from the following four expansions:
Journey to Un’Goro
Knights of the Frozen Throne
Goblin & Catacombs
The Witchwood
Save Daily Quests on March 25/26!
In the official announcement, it sounds like each quest completion will grant a pack, not just the first one of the day. So players should not complete their quests on March 25 and 26 to be able to grab 3 packs on March 27. This would increase the maximum available packs from 14 to 16.
Are you looking forward to the “new year” in Hearthstone and the free packs? Or is that too much work for you?
To The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, PS4, Xbox One), the new chapter Summerset is coming soon. If you do not have Morrowind yet, you will receive it for free with a preorder of Summerset.
The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) received a new chapter called Morrowind in 2017. However, the mini-addon was a bit too expensive for many players. The new chapter Summerset is a little cheaper, costing 39.99 for the regular digital version and 29.99 euros for the upgrade.
And the old chapter is free for preorders!
Morrowind for free with Pre-Order of Summerset
If Morrowind was too expensive for you until now or you haven’t gotten the chapter for another reason, you can be happy! Because until June 13, 2018, you will receive Morrowind for free if you preorder one of the following versions of Summerset:
The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset – Standard Edition
The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset – Digital Collector’s Edition
The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset – Digital Upgrade
The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset – Digital Collector’s Edition Upgrade
The offer is only valid if you do not already own Morrowind. If you already own it, there are no additional special bonuses. However, you can already play Morrowind as well as the ESO base game if you preorder Summerset.
You can already preorder the new chapter Summerset now. If it is a digital version, you will immediately unlock a nice Nightmare Senche mount. However, the riding cat is also available for preorders of a physical version; you will then need to show a valid purchase receipt to Zenimax support.
Or you can wait until the release of Summerset, then the critter will also be available for preorders of the physical editions.
The Deviljho comes with a “Special Assignment” to Monster Hunter World. Learn here how to unlock the Deviljho and access the new quest. Additionally, there are some tips regarding its weaknesses and what you should note during the fight.
[toc]
The Deviljho has been in Monster Hunter World since March 22 and is a brutal fighting wyvern feared by the inhabitants of the new world. It is also known as the World Eater, as it constantly suffers from hunger and is said to have wiped out entire species due to its gluttony.
To unlock the Deviljho, you need to fulfill certain requirements and go on a quest for clues. Here you will learn step by step what you need to do to access the “Special Assignment” for the beast.
In order to receive the quest for the Deviljho, you must have already made certain progress in the game.
These are the requirements you must fulfill for the Deviljho quest:
Unlocking Deviljho: Embark on Expedition with Question Marks
Once you have fulfilled the basic requirements, it is best to start anexpedition in high rank and look for question marks.
When you open the world map, check which area has question marks among the listed monsters. Here, the Deviljho will first appear. For me, this was the case in the Coral Highlands. The Deviljho can appear on any map.
Warning: If you cannot see any question marks, even though you meet the requirements, you simply need to start a few other missions. Repeat this until the question marks appear on the map.
Now embark on a free expedition to the area with the question marks and search for the Deviljho.
Once you have seen the Deviljho for the first time, the Field Expert will scream and tell you that you need to go back to Astera immediately to report your discovery to the Research Commission. You can now decide to fight the Deviljho directly or abort the mission and return to Astera.
Unlock Special Assignment: Talk to “Cheerful Scholar” with the Blue Exclamation Mark
Once you are back in Astera, go to the quest board in the trade shop. Here you will find the three scholars, with a blue exclamation mark above the “Cheerful Scholar”‘s head. Talk to him and you will receive a new investigation.
Look for Deviljho Tracks and Gather Enough Research Points
In every high-rank location as well as in optional quests with 6 or 7 stars, you can now find Deviljho tracks and the beast itself. The Deviljho can also appear in quests where it is not listed.
Once you have gathered enough research points for the Deviljho, talk again to the Cheerful Scholar and he will give you a special assignment: “The Lord of the Food Chain”.
Special assignments are a new type of quest that can be assigned to you and have nothing to do with Elder’s Crossing. These quests are always marked with a blue exclamation mark above an NPC’s head.
Special Assignment: “The Lord of the Food Chain”
Once you have gathered enough research points and have spoken again with the “Cheerful Scholar”, you can now start the Deviljho quest: “The Lord of the Food Chain”. You will find it under the special assignments.
These are the conditions for the Deviljho quest:
Name: The Lord of the Food Chain
Location: Ancient Forest
Difficulty: Star Level 7
Type: Hunt Quest
Objective: Hunt a Deviljho
Time Limit: 50 minutes
Requirements: HR 13 or higher
Failure Conditions: Time expired or fainted 3 times
Save the Field Expert!
When you start the quest, it will unfold a little differently than usual. The Field Expert is suddenly missing, and you need to save her from the Deviljho. You are now simultaneously looking for clues of the Field Expert and the Deviljho in the Ancient Forest.
When you find your friend, she is gathering mushrooms and is surprised by the beast. She jumps on the monster’s back, and you must take it down to save the Field Expert.
Weaknesses of the Deviljho and What You Should Consider
To make the fight a little easier for you, here are some quick tips for the battle.
Deviljho Overview:
Species: Fighting Wyvern
Element: Dragon
Size: Large Monster
Element Weaknesses:
Thunder 3
Dragon 3
Fire 2
Water 2
Ice 1
Status Weaknesses:
Poison 2
Sleep 2
Paralysis 2
Explosion 2
Stun 2
Weak Body Parts:
Head (Breakable)
Tail (Severable)
Abdomen (Weak Point)
Defeating the Deviljho in Battle – Quick Tips
The Deviljho has a similar attack pattern to the Anjanath, but is significantly faster in movement and executes its attacks longer. While the Anjanath bites through the ground about 2-3 times, the Deviljho performs this attack 3-5 times.
Here are some quick tips:
Weapons with Thunder or Dragon Element: The Deviljho is weak against the elements Thunder and Dragon. You can quickly farm Thunder weapons from the Tobi-Kadachi.
Armor against Dragon Element: The Deviljho possesses the Dragon element and can unleash a dangerous breath in rage mode, dealing Dragon damage. It is therefore advantageous to bring armor that is effective against the Dragon element.
Positioning, preferably beneath the abdomen: The Deviljho performs dangerous attacks with its mouth and massive tail. It can also make 180-degree turns with its tail, from which you are not safe even at the side of the beast. However, you are safest under the Deviljho. Here, the large monster has difficulty hitting you.
Nullberries against Dragon Blight: In rage mode, the Deviljho emits a dangerous mist from its mouth. This causes Dragon Blight, which you can heal with Nullberries.
20 Dragon Resistance against Dragon Blight: If you have armor that has 20 Dragon Resistance or more, you are protected against the Dragon Blight from the Deviljho. Alternatively, 3 x Resistor Jewels also work.
Diamond Seeds against Corrosive Saliva: When the Deviljho is exhausted, it starts to drool. The saliva is corrosive and lowers your defense. You can consume Diamond Seeds to counter this.
Attack the abdomen: The Deviljho’s greatest weakness is its abdomen. This is particularly vulnerable in rage mode.
Recognizing Rage Mode: Recognizing the rage mode of the Deviljho is easy: its muscles swell and it glows a fiery red.
Still go to the Canteen in Astera: Keep in mind that the Field Expert is missing. Thus, she cannot prepare meals in camp. You should visit the canteen in Astera before setting out on the quest.
In the video by Charles, you can follow step by step how to unlock the Deviljho. Additionally, you can see the beautifully staged cinematic trailer here.

Wizards of the Coast’s popular trading card game enters the next phase of its video game version Magic: The Gathering Arena in its latest version.
The new beta aims to showcase the complete game, as the developers want to gather more feedback. The team is now inviting an additional 100,000 players to check out the test version. However, this is not yet an open beta.
Magic: The Gathering Arena aims to offer you an “authentic” gaming experience of the popular card game. You compete against other players while strategically using your cards. Over time, you collect new cards that enable you to develop further tactics. Arena has no gimmicks; it plays out just like actual duels with real cards.
The next phase of the beta offers even more features:
New starter collections – To test new starter card collections, including 10 pre-constructed decks with over 300 unique cards, there will be a wipe.
Amonkhet Block – The Amonkhet and Hour of Devastation cards will be introduced, allowing you new tactics.
The development continues
The developers are very eager to see how players react to the new version of Magic: The Gathering Arena and want to work on improvements and optimizations together with the testers.
For The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, PS4, Xbox One) the new chapter “Summerset” has recently been announced. But are the promised contents enough? What does the community think about the new chapter?
The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) is about to get bigger. On June 6 (Early Access on PC from May 21), the new chapter “Summerset” will be released. Once again, there’s a large island full of content. In addition, there is a new raid, a large story full of quests, jewel crafting, and a new faction where you can learn additional skills.
However, a new class is missing. In the previous chapter Morrowind, there was the new Warden, this time there’s “only” a new skill line for all heroes. Also, something really new is missing. The long-promised spell weaving feature, which was supposed to allow players to create their own spells, is likely not included in Summerset.
So what does the ESO community say about Summerset?
Some players envisioned the Crystal Tower differently.
Nevertheless, the new chapter itself has been well received. Many players like the new region of the Summerset Isles. Some also complained about the allegedly unflattering appearance of the legendary Crystal Tower. This mysterious structure looks like a “giant concrete cucumber”.
Just no flying mounts!
Other players are concerned about possible flying mounts. A picture showed a flying griffon, on which an elf was riding. Some players want flying mounts, while others strongly oppose it. However, it is unlikely that players can fly on griffons, as community manager Kai Schober explained.
The new crafting for jewelry has overall been well received. While some players would have preferred it as part of a general update, the overall sentiment is positive that this feature made it into the new chapter. Additionally, some players hoped for a graphics update. ESO looks quite dated now.
Some players found it fair that Summerset is 10 euros cheaper than Morrowind. After all, there is apparently also less content in the new chapter.
Razum Dar is back!
On Reddit, some players also lament the somewhat meager contents of the new chapter. A new class or at least a new weapon skill line would have been highly welcomed. Some players feel that the new chapter is too bland.
The setting in the Summerset Isles has also been well received. Many players are especially looking forward to Razum Dar, the cunning and lovable Khajiit master spy from the cinematic teaser.
Many cool and funny quests with the cat person are expected. Just for that, the new chapter is already worth it for some players.
This is what the Mein-MMO community says
Here at Mein-MMO, the response to the new chapter in ESO is also “positively restrained”. Most comments so far show that you are indeed looking forward to the new chapter, but still expected “a little more”.

Here as well, many are disappointed that there is no spell weaving and no new class. However, Razum Dar and the new areas and Psijik skills are well received here as well.
Here are some selected opinions:
Soldier224 in a discussion about whether Summerset can hold its own against Morrowind: “… the main features are [compared to Morrowind] already of equal size. Even without a class and spell weaving.” masterfarr and Skjarbrand add that the upgrade costs 10 euros less than Morrowind did at the time. And preorders of Summerset receive Morrowind for free. They consider it a good deal.
Maledicus: “While I would have been happy about a new class, I didn’t expect it. However, it was about time to introduce new weapon types. Many players have wished for this, especially for Magicka-based characters. Things like scepters & off-hand items would be good … Based on what is now known, my anticipation for the new chapter is more subdued. It was very different with Morrowind, especially because of the Warden. Ok, a new skill line is also something; let’s see what is all included. And finally, jewelry crafting as a profession was also overdue.”
Starthilfer: “I am already looking forward and am excited about the new area. And if I interpret correctly, also about the Mephala story.
Real4: “Too bad there is no new class :/ I would gladly have paid 10€ more for that. Or finally the spell weaving. A complete overhaul of the graphics engine would also be timely. But somehow I am still looking forward to it.”
Micro_Cuts: “It definitely looks good! But nothing has been announced that would currently bring me back, to be honest. For current players, however, it is certainly a great expansion.”
Subjunkie: “Hey, Raz is also here, then I can also endure those arrogant high elf snobs. 😀 And jewelry crafting, very nice!”
On Steam, PUBG developers explained that there will soon be more variety in the battle royale shooter. With the event mode, Bluehole is unlocking time-limited events. During these events, gameplay content such as the drop chance of specific weapons will be altered. But this is just the beginning.
PUBG Rifle Fest with 8-player squads
The event mode is described as a pre-made custom game, with settings changing from event to event. They want to try new things and change the parameters for content relevant to gameplay.
The goal is to provide new experiences for players that they cannot find in regular public games.
However, the event mode should not just represent custom games, but offers content, most of which is only available in the game for a limited time.
The first edition of the event mode will be kept relatively simple – they want to see how it all goes.
The first event is already starting on the test servers
Players can now form 8-player squads (instead of 4-player squads)
and the drop chance for rifles is double the usual
To achieve stable matchmaking, the first mode is only available in TPP and on the Erangel map
So far, there is no ranking for the event mode, but you will receive BP at the end of the round.
In the next event, the signal pistol is expected to play a major role.
In comparison to Fortnite, where players currently have shorter round times, a higher chest and ammunition spawn in the Blitzschnell mode and practically swim in building materials, the changes in PUBG are really still small.
When will the event mode hit the live servers? PUBG is currently thoroughly testing the current build for issues. If everything goes smoothly, the patch will soon™ be available on the live servers.
You want to play Sea of Thieves solo? It’s not that hard. Stick to our survival and control tricks and get rewarded.
There are many reasons why someone might want to play Sea of Thieves solo. Some players see themselves as a lone wolf, wanting to achieve their adventures and successes on their own. But there are also moments when one simply doesn’t feel like playing with a group. It’s better to just float along alone, perhaps listening to music or watching a stream.
As a solo player, you are outnumbered by enemy ship crews. However, with these tips, you can still navigate the game successfully.
Let’s go! – Preparation and sailing
Before each adventure, it’s helpful to take as much material as possible from the starting outpost. Bananas, planks, and cannonballs are extremely important and can be stored on your ship. Having a handful more planks in the hold can save your ship from sinking.
It’s best to load your cannons with ammunition on board right away. This way, you are prepared in case a fight occurs.
Set sail and stay on course
Once you’ve made all the preparations and are on your way to your first treasure, it’s important to handle your ship well.
Sail length
With the sails fully deployed, you can reach high speeds, but you maneuver more slowly.
If the sails are retracted, you can make particularly tight turns, but you have little speed
Reading the map while sailing
Position the overview map in the captain’s cabin so that you can see the ship and your target at a glance.
There’s no need to run below deck to see if you’re on course. Just look at the deck behind the anchor; you’ll see the map there. If that is too imprecise for you, the telescope can help.
Land in sight – Approach slowly and loot
On your journeys, you must always dock at new islands to search for the desired loot. However, approach the islands with caution so that your ship does not take damage. As you approach the island, it’s best to pull the sails up to half or a quarter mast. You need to calculate about two seconds before the boat stops for the anchor throw.
For a particularly cool stop, turn the rudder all the way to the right or all the way to the left and then drop the anchor. Your boat will make a 180° turn. There’s even an achievement for such a turn-around maneuver. You can see all achievements in Sea of Thieves in our overview
After your ship has come to a stop, hoist the sails completely and raise the anchor again. Use the rudder to turn your boat into the right position for a quick escape.
Before stepping onto the island, make sure to check the ammunition chest again for safety and look with the telescope for enemy ships in the vicinity. If everything is clear, you can go loot.
Ship against ship – Against groups, you are faster
The disadvantage in combat as a solo player becomes apparent against large crews of 3 or 4 people. Therefore, many solo players completely avoid combat here and try to flee. To make this work, keep the following tips in mind:
If a galleon is chasing you, steer your boat directly into the wind so that the wind comes against you. Fully swing your sail to one side, either all the way left or all the way right. This way, you’ll be faster than the galleon and can easily escape.
Against other sloops, it’s best to take cover behind islands with mountains so the opponents lose sight of you.
If you love excitement and want to test your luck against a galleon, it’s best to circle around it. While you’re making circles, shoot at them with the cannons.
In combat against other sloops, try to maintain distance so that neither of the two persons can board you. You would recognize that by the splashing of the water when a player jumps into the sea.
General tips for Sea of Thieves
In close combat, a sword is often the better choice because you can strike more quickly without having to wait for reloads. In fights against other players and skeletons, it is always important to keep moving. This way, skeletons can’t surround you, and players have a harder time aiming at you.
Try not to fight in the water, but stay on land (or on the ship). If you are wounded, try to hide to eat bananas and heal yourself.
If you are docking at an island, it’s usually a good idea to raise the anchor again. One exception exists when you are in the middle of a storm and the ship could drift away. To escape, it is always faster to drop the sails than to haul in the anchor.
Don’t worry if you fall overboard while your ship continues to sail calmly. A friendly mermaid (or merman) will quickly appear nearby and teleport you back to the ship. You can recognize this supportive swimmer by a sound and a distinctive torch.
With these tips, you should also do well as a solo player in Sea of Thieves. Do you have more tips? Feel free to share them with us in the comments.
In a forum post, the director and producer of Final Fantasy XIV Naoki Yoshida explained how the Ungarmax glitch made it through QA testing into the finished game. With this, players could inflict significant damage with a simple chat command. An incredible exploit, to say the least.
At the end of February, a strong exploit in FFXIV became known in the community through a Reddit thread.
The Ungarmax Limit Break allowed players to significantly increase their damage output for a short period using a simple chat command.
The exploit was so bold and so noticeable that many people wondered: How could this slip through? And why wasn’t the exploit fixed immediately after it was reported?
Now, the director of FFXIV, Naoki Yoshida, has commented on the incident. In a surprisingly transparent post, he explains how the glitch occurred and what is being done about it now. The penalties for the exploiters are also detailed.
How does Ungarmax work?
Originally, the exploit was implemented in October 2017 along with Content Patch 4.1. To gain access to this NPC Limit Break, players had to first unlock the NPC command missions.
Compared to the normal Limit Break, Ungarmax has several special features:
It only consumes one Limit bar out of a maximum of 3 and can be used multiple times in boss fights.
It increases the group’s damage output by a whopping 50% for 15 seconds.
The duration of the effect can be extended to 25 seconds by the Astrologian job’s “Opposition” ability. For a single player, it can be extended up to 40 seconds.
Some time after the release of Content Patch 4.1, players discovered that they could also use Ungarmax outside of the intended instances with the help of a chat command.
Some players then used the strong buff effect of the Limit to conquer the hardest raids in FFXIV.
When the exploit gained significant attention through a Reddit post on February 27, 2018, several players came forward claiming they had reported the glitch to the GM team months earlier.
To determine how the error occurred and whether it had indeed been reported multiple times, appropriate investigations were initiated.
The routine check by the server did not take place
The investigations revealed that a player had indeed been reported multiple times to the GMs for the illegitimate use of the NPC Limit Break.
A special team, the special command, began monitoring the player. However, as no use of third-party programs was detected, the observations were discontinued.
The glitch remained undiscovered because the special command was too focused on cheating via third-party programs and botting.
The error itself was absolutely trivial: In the case of Ungarmax, the server-side validation was missing.
This is a routine check that occurs when all abilities are used and checks them for their legitimacy.
The chat command that triggered Ungarmax was not monitored by the server and could therefore be used outside the intended instances.
The workflows of the Dev and QA teams will be adjusted
The director of FFXIV holds himself and the development team responsible for the error.
According to him, certain minimum standards and routine processes in development were not followed. Additionally, some team members were not properly informed about the necessity of server-side checks.
To prevent such an error from occurring again in the future, error reports of this type will be examined more thoroughly than they have been so far.
Furthermore, the QA team will revise its guidelines to ensure better checks in the future.
In general, none of the GM teams should specialize too much, allowing them to overlook error reports like Ungarmax.
And what happens to the cheaters?
After the exploit became public on February 27 on Reddit, a special team began analyzing the combat logs of all players to determine if they had used the Ungarmax chat command, with the following results:
By midnight (JST) on February 27, “Ungarmax” was used by 25 characters from 21 accounts in 8-player content.
After midnight (JST) on February 27, “Ungarmax” was used by 1110 characters under faulty circumstances.
The investigations revealed that the owners of the 21 accounts had used the chat command multiple times outside the designated content. Additionally, they had kept the exploit secret from other players to gain an advantage.
A large portion of the 1110 characters that tried the exploit after its announcement used it primarily in public areas or in instances where they could not gain from the buff.
These players, who only used it “out of curiosity” once, have nothing to fear in terms of punishment.
How Yoshida will deal with the other players is still unknown.
This kind of transparency regarding internal processes at Square Enix is rare and has been positively received.
The director subsequently apologized to the players for the oversight and explicitly asked them not to exploit glitches like Ungarmax, as it violates the game’s guidelines.

The most damage in Overwatch is done by DPS heroes like Soldier 76, Pharah, and Zenyatta. Don’t you believe it? Overwatch pro Sung-hyeon “JJonak” Bang proves that Zenyatta is more than just a healing ball-throwing machine.
Those competing in the Overwatch League belong to the Overwatch elite and play far better than the majority of gamers. In this eSports event, the pros show what they are truly made of and consistently perform at their peak. They fully utilize the potential of many heroes.
This is especially proven by support player Sung-hyeon “JJonak” Bang, who plays for New York Excelsior with his signature hero Zenyatta. He plays the Omnic monk not just as a pure healer but as a killing machine, able to outdamage DPS players.
JJonak Cleans Up the Overwatch League with Zenyatta
New York Excelsior currently leads the standings by a large margin. With 16 wins to 2 losses, they are 3 victories ahead of second-placed London Spitfire. The team owes its strength primarily to its calculated yet aggressive play style.
The Koreans take every opportunity to heat things up for their opponents and pressure them. Even their support players contribute to this – and have already perfected this tactic. In the match against the Houston Outlaws, at the start of the Overwatch League, JJonak showed his skill.
On Junkertown, the first map, JJonak was the player with the third-highest damage and the most damage in his team. He dealt 24% of the total damage to the opposing team. On the following map, he even outperformed the opponents and topped the list.
For the Korean eSports star, Zenyatta is not just a healer. He sees him as a powerhouse with much more potential yet to be unlocked. His team helps him fully realize this potential.
To achieve this, he sometimes receives healing and protection that are normally reserved for DPS players. While other teams use Zenyatta as a helper for Tracer or Pharah, JJonak receives support from his support colleague Ark to take down enemies.

Furthermore, there’s a considerable amount of experience with the hero and the game. JJonak uses the full charge of his alternate attack to anticipate and intercept enemy movements.
The entire focus of his gameplay is to achieve exactly that with Zenyatta. It happens that teammates stand right next to him, threatening to die. But when JJonak is preparing a kill, that takes priority over healing – and the team plays along.

The gameplay of A Way Out looks diverse and has various mechanics in store. There are stealth elements including sneaking sections. Certain situations should be managed using your rhetorical skills. And action-packed situations are also not lacking: there will be shooting, fighting with fists and improvised weapons, running, swimming, jumping, and climbing.
Players will continuously face decisions that have consequences for gameplay. There is no fixed role distribution. Dialogue options exist for both protagonists. Both are free in their actions, and there are always multiple ways to master a situation.
What makes the game so special?
A Way Out is fundamentally designed as a cooperative split-screen experience – there is no single-player mode. Therefore, a second player is required. It can be played either in “couch coop” mode on the same screen or via an online connection.
The story of the two protagonists is told simultaneously but often asymmetrically. This means that, for example, one player actively controls their character in gameplay while the other is watching a cutscene in the same situation, still witnessing the actions of the active player live.
The reverse is also true – the active player sees their partner engaged in a cutscene, along with their actions and reactions. The transitions are completely seamless. This way of storytelling greatly enhances immersion. The goal is always to create an intense experience of the respective situation.
Notably, the game skillfully employs mechanics that ensure both players must continuously communicate, interact, and cooperate to progress in the game – and it never feels forced at any point.
The playtime of A Way Out is said to be around 6 to 8 hours. No expansions are planned.
How the cooperative mode works
For double cooperative fun, 2 players only need one copy of A Way Out.
But beware: Crossplay does not work in A Way Out.
Players cooperate on the couch on the same screen or through an online connection. Here’s what you should know about the two different modes:
Online play with the Friend Pass feature
The Friend Pass feature allows all buyers of A Way Out to choose a friend to embark on the adventure together. This player then gets the option to download the game completely free of charge. However, as a guest, they can only play with the original purchaser. The guest player does not have their own rights to invite other players in their version of the game.
The purchaser, however, receives extended rights. They can freely invite other friends to a shared experience using the Friend Pass feature. So, if the original partner cannot participate, the owner of the game can simply invite another buddy. However, from this point on, the originally invited friend loses access rights to their version of A Way Out. These rights will be restored only when they join the purchaser again to escape from the law.
Playing in couch coop mode
Besides the need for a second controller, there’s nothing else to consider in the local couch coop mode. You can start playing together immediately.
What you need to play
For playing together via an online connection, a valid membership with PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold is required. For the couch coop mode, you need a second controller.
Further frequent questions about the multiplayer are answered in the following GameStar video:

You’re looking for high-level cooperative gameplay and exciting, cinematic storytelling. While it’s hard to categorize the gameplay and compare it to other games, it offers everything that makes the cooperative heart beat faster.
You constantly need to communicate, search for new solutions together, make plans, test different strategies, and make joint decisions that significantly influence your adventure – all while being on the couch together. If this appeals to you, A Way Out will definitely be worth your while.
You might be disappointed if…
You’re not particularly interested in the story of a game and prefer to mow through hordes of monsters and shoot aliens or other players without much preparation. While rudimentary shooter mechanics exist – they only appear where the story requires it. Those expecting multiplayer like in The Last of Us or Uncharted will be disappointed.
It is a purely cooperative game – designed for 2 people. There is no PvP, and weapons themselves are not the focus in A Way Out. It’s all about the intense shared experience of the story, not about competing with others in the game. Those looking for competitive multiplayer elements should definitely steer clear of this game.
What the first testers say
A Way Out offers a unique couch experience with split-screen.
Initial testers were quite impressed with their experiences (Link to IGN review): An exciting story with emotional highlights and twists, a serious background, a realistic setting, a cinematic narrative style, well-developed, distinctive characters with flaws, relatable problems – all of this leads to much discussion and is likely to appeal particularly to a mature audience.
The split-screen feature, which is unfortunately hard to find in games today, adds extra appeal. It allows the player experience to be enjoyed with a best friend or partner in a cozy atmosphere from the couch, something many long for. This makes the shared storytelling even more intense.

The abolishment of the loot master in World of Warcraft is hotly debated. We present the arguments on both sides.
With Battle for Azeroth, World of Warcraft is implementing some changes to the game again. The loot distribution also changes significantly for some players. Just yesterday we reported that the loot master will be abolished as a loot option with Battle for Azeroth. “Personal loot” takes its place. We take a look at the various arguments on both sides.
Pro – What speaks for the loot master?
The loot master has always been part of World of Warcraft. The loot option has several points on the pro side.
Control. A raid, and especially the leadership, has more control over which players are geared first. Dedicated and regularly appearing players can be specifically rewarded this way.
The feeling of nostalgia. Many players grew up with the loot master in World of Warcraft. Back in the Molten Core, it was simply part of it that the raid leader posted the items one by one and then people rolled for them. Another piece of “tradition” from WoW will disappear with the abolishment.
Trust. The loot master requires a certain level of trust among players, which can foster social bonds between players. Personal loot is – as the name suggests – personal and therefore not influenced by other players.
Free trade. The loot master can give players items that are far beyond their own item level. With personal loot, trading is only possible to a limited extent, as anyone wishing to give up an item must already possess something of equivalent value.
Contra – What speaks against the loot master?
There are also several arguments on the opposing side that can be presented.
Time. Distributing the loot with a loot master takes additional time. Depending on the number of bosses, it can easily take half an hour one evening to assign the desired loot to the players.
Split-raiding. A niche problem, but still present. Professional guilds felt compelled to

Dice and Electronic Arts have released a new update for the online shooter Star Wars Battlefront 2. With this, you gain access to all heroes and do not have to unlock them first.
The loot box debate has taken a toll on Electronic Arts, which is why the entire system for Star Wars Battlefront 2 has been overhauled. With the new update, the new progression system has been introduced. While the boxes still exist, they now only contain credits and cosmetic items.
All heroes are unlocked
Another new feature of the update is the fact that all heroes and hero vehicles are already unlocked. Previously, players had to invest quite some time to obtain heroes. Now, you simply log into the game and can choose the heroes you want when you earn enough points in a match to switch to a hero.
Also new are:
Cloud City from Bespin as a map for the Blast mode, Heroes vs. Villains, and the Arcade mode
Every Star Card is unlocked in Arcade mode, so you can try them out to experiment with loadouts
Star Cards are no longer part of the loot boxes and must now be earned
Microtransactions are coming back soon
Starting in April, the microtransactions will be reintroduced. With real money, you will buy crystals, which you will use to acquire cosmetic items like skins. However, these skins can also be obtained through in-game credits. In addition, the update introduces several balancing optimizations.
In Destiny 2 this Guardian once again amazes: Esoterickk solo-masters the first phase of the Argos boss fight!
Raids have always been a significant challenge for many Guardians in Destiny. The second part of the series is no exception. Until facing the Cabal Emperor Calus or mastering the individual phases of the fight against the massive Vex boss Argos, raid teams usually need flawless performance from all six Guardians.
The YouTuber and hardcore Destiny player Esoterickk has now managed to survive the first phase of the boss fight in the Spire of Stars raid encounter and thus crack Argos’s protective mine shield – mind you, solo!
This phase of the boss fight is a challenge that even well-coordinated teams often struggle with, as soon as even a small cog in the team doesn’t work properly. Esoterickk shows that it is possible to do this alone. He only took about 6 minutes for this impressive feat.
He’s done it again
Esoterickk has already been the focus of our coverage multiple times due to his fantastic skills.
Now he has taken on the Spire of Stars raid encounter.
With perfectly timed jumps and almost surgical precision, Esoterickk repeatedly manages to dodge what seemed like certain death during the first boss phase, destroying one mine after another until none are left and the massive Vex machine Argos finally comes into view.
Here you can admire his latest achievement:
