With the new expansion “The Witchwood” (Witchwood), deckbuilding has burst forth in Hearthstone again. We show you 5 strong decks for Shaman, Priest, Mage, Warrior, and Rogue that you can use to achieve early successes and make use of the new cards.
Under each deck presentation, you’ll find the respective costs in Arcane Dust, always assuming you don’t have any of the necessary cards yet. There is also a practical code you’ll find under “Deck List” – just click on it, copy the code directly into Hearthstone, and the game will automatically build this deck for you.
Hearthstone Shaman Deck: The Power of Shudderwock
Many players are experimenting with the Shudderwock, the strange Shaman Legendary, that copies all Battlecries. Player Savjz has crafted a deck around Shudderwock.
The plan of the “Savjz Shudderwock OTK Shaman” is fundamentally simple: There are many Battlecry effects that only help the Shaman player, including the Life Drinker. It deals 3 damage to the opposing hero and heals you for 3. Thanks to Shudderwock, this Battlecry can be repeated infinitely, as Shudderwock can be repeated infinitely thanks to Grumble, Worldshaker.
However, matches with this deck have an extremely long play duration – so they are not suitable for “quickly grinding up the ladder”. But if you enjoy fun with Shudderwock, you should give this deck a chance.

Buff Priest with Odd Cards
The Witchwood has expanded Hearthstone with new deck ideas. There are some cards whose effects require you to only have cards with even or odd costs in the deck. The “Odd-Cost Chameleos Buff Priest” deck by Zetalot capitalizes on this mechanic.
The deck relies on Baku the Moonfang, which improves your hero power right from the start. Subsequently, many minions with high health are played, such as Nightscale Matriarch or the Quartz Elemental. With Power Word: Shield and the Shimmering Moth, the health of the minions is increased and later traditionally enhanced with Inner Fire to often destroy opponents in just one turn. The Void Ripper also serves this purpose by swapping the health and attack of all minions.
But be careful: Archbishop Benedictus should not be played too early, as he will ruin the effect of the Shimmering Moth. Wait for the right moment to enrich your deck with your opponent’s cards.

Meme Deck for Mage – Toki & Arugal
Mages have received many new, interesting cards with the Witchwood, including the Legendary Archmage Arugal. The “Toki & Arugal Elemental Mage” deck by Kibler makes exactly use of that, refining a deck formula from Knights of the Frozen Throne.
Thanks to the Book of Specters, there are almost always enough minions in hand, and the numerous elemental synergies ensure plenty of cards and firepower to make quick work of the enemy.
Thanks to new cards like the Voodoo Doll, even large adversaries can be quickly eliminated. Should things get tight, Frost Lich Jaina can quickly turn the tide and heal herself thanks to the lifesteal of the elementals.
As a special treat, Time Traveler Toki has also been incorporated into the deck. However, she is definitely not a must-have and is more to be understood as a fun factor. If you don’t like her, you can replace her with any other card.

Cannon Tower Warrior – Endless Fun
When the Dark Cannon Tower was introduced for Warriors, many players wrinkled their noses. “It doesn’t belong in any deck” and “This is a totally useless card” – but the “Path of the Spire Slayer” deck by kiwiinbacon makes use of this tower in the darkest way possible.
The deck not only relies on the Dark Cannon Tower but also aims to duplicate this card multiple times. The Meat-Cleaving Cube is suitable for this, followed by the Faceless Manipulator. The cubes are then destroyed, and the battlefield is full of Dark Cannon Towers. Thanks to the Echo card “Path of War“, the towers can be activated, unleashing a barrage on the helpless opponent.
Those who are particularly cruel can copy the damaged towers (or Meat-Cleaving Cubes) one more time with the Spontaneous Generation.
Even if the deck relies heavily on the Cannon Tower, it also has powerful answers for other problems. Lich King Garrosh and Rotten Mine are also strong threats – but they also contribute to the high dust costs of this deck.

Rogues swear by Tess Greymane
Random effects are hated and loved at the same time. Those who are masters at steering the RNG in their favor will have fun with the “Tess Greymane our new Lord” deck by Dovakin2. This Rogue deck swears by Tess Greymane, who plays all cards from other classes that were played by Rogues in this match again when cast. Thanks to Pocket Pick, one gets access to many of these cards. Lilian Voss also ensures that all spells in hand are exchanged for spells of the opponent’s class, promising plenty of synergy.
If that’s not enough, the Faceless One can still create numerous Legendaries, which can also lead to a quick victory.
However, this deck also tends to be in the “premium” range and therefore has high mana costs. The creator is still further refining the deck. If someone wants to exchange something, they can also include the Lich King, as the cards he generates also count as “cards from other classes”.
