In Star Citizen, players are currently discussing a special refund request. A player wants to get back his $4500. He is afraid that he will not be able to play the game when it comes out because he is suffering from a serious illness.
Single case sparks discussion: The site Massivelyop reports on a discussion in the Star Citizen community. There, a player explained why he wants back the $4500 (about €3,800) he has invested in the crowdfunding of Star Citizen over the last 6 years. The player explained that he has multiple sclerosis and his condition is getting worse each year. He fears that when Star Citizen is eventually released, in 2022, he will no longer be physically able to play Star Citizen. Therefore, he wants his money back.
I didn’t want the MMO they are making for me
Started completely differently: The player says he got involved in the project in 2012 and supported it because he thought he would get a small, clean space simulation with multiplayer co-op missions. He would have gladly pledged his support for that in 2012. He wouldn’t have paid for a first-person shooter or an MMO. And he wouldn’t have paid at all if he had known what he was getting into and how long the development would take. Because even in 2012, he knew he was suffering from MS.
Criticism of fans: In his post, the player also addresses the fans. He says that many deny the problems. They said it doesn’t matter when Star Citizen is released. To him, it matters a lot. You get attacked hard when you say that CIG probably isn’t able to stop planning new features. Or when you mention that CIG frequently misses their deadlines.

Meanwhile, the thread has over 1400 comments. Some agree with the words of the backer and understand. They too have been waiting for years for their dream of Star Citizen to come true. Others think that such a discussion hurts the game and casts a bad light on the project.

Finally, a trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 was revealed. But instead of hype, the trailer sparked disappointment – at least for Cortyn.
Fans had to wait many years for serious signs of life from Cyberpunk 2077. Now at E3 2018, there were finally a lot of information, as there was a trailer of nearly 100 seconds that thrilled many fans. However, it didn’t knock me off my feet. What could be seen was an emotionless display of effects.
Many players who previously knew nothing about Cyberpunk 2077 asked themselves after the trailer: “Is this GTA in the future?” The question is as derogatory as it is justified, as that was exactly the impression the trailer conveyed. Quick camera cuts, no sequence lasts longer than four or five seconds. Everything explodes, dies, or is enhanced with technology. The world is garish, loud, and colorful.
The cool “night feeling” from the first images and trailers seems completely lost – brutality and action without pause are in the foreground. This is not what I expect from the creators of the best RPG of the last decade, but rather from the latest episode of Alarm for Cobra 11.
A trailer without emotional attachment
Cyberpunk 2077 has to endure some comparisons with The Witcher 3 – after all, it’s the last major title from CD Projekt Red. Every single trailer for The Witcher 3 emotionally touched me and made me feel connected to the characters or build a bond with the game world. Do you remember the trailer where Geralt takes out the soldiers who want to hang a woman? Or the monster hunt in the barn? Both trailers had a brilliant pull, drew me into the game world, and left me fascinated.
The Cyberpunk trailer doesn’t achieve that. The protagonist shown is unsympathetic to me in every way (flashy car, big weapons, causing chaos “for the Lols”).
Presumably, the trailer is much cooler if you’ve played the Pen & Paper Cyberpunk 2020 and recognize and understand all the many references. I don’t do that and have to extensively inform myself afterwards about what the inscription X in scene Y means. That doesn’t entice me, doesn’t appeal to me.
I can neither warm up to the characters nor to the shown game world. Not because it might end up being exciting, but because the trailer is completely overloaded, without explaining any details even in the slightest. It’s just “Wow, technology!” without soul.
Even CD Projekt Red doubts the trailer
However, even some people from CD Projekt Red seemed to fear that the trailer would convey a false impression of the game. At least that’s my interpretation of it, as they specially include in a hidden message:
“While the world is full of adrenaline, don’t be misled by the chases and weapons. Cyberpunk 2077 is a real single-player, a proper story-driven RPG. You’ll be able to create your own character […]”

All of this probably wouldn’t have needed to be mentioned if the trailer had conveyed an impression of how the finished game would eventually look. But the trailer didn’t do that. Instead, it was an action-packed ride through Night City, an adrenaline tour from one explosion and excitement to the next. That wasn’t a trailer for an RPG. That was a trailer for an action movie.
Conclusion: Damped hype, undeterred hope
Please don’t get me wrong. I have great trust in CD Projekt Red, as I now compare every game in my head with Witcher 3. I firmly believe that the guys and gals will eventually deliver one of the best RPGs of all time and I will celebrate Cyberpunk 2077 properly.
However, the trailer did not make me want to learn more about the game world or that I simply cannot bear to live without this game anymore. For my part, the developers can now happily take two to three more years – I’m not in a hurry.

Fortnite (PC, PS4, iOS & Xbox One) is finally getting new game modes again: Score Royale and Final Fight. In one mode, it’s all about gathering as much loot as possible. The other game mode could be a kind of race.
Finally, new game modes for Fortnite: Data miners have been digging through the Fortnite code again. They found files for new, limited-time game modes. Since the Shotgun mode, there hasn’t been anything completely new.
But if the data miners are right, there will soon be two new modes called “Score Royale” and “Final Fight”.
Game Mode Score Royale
What do we know about Score Royale? This game mode is said to reward players who prefer looting items rather than excelling in combat, according to the leaked data miner text. Points are given not only for kills but also for opened chests and collected items.
The player with the most points at the end wins. And if a player has earned more points through gathering and looting than through kills, someone who does not remain last can also win.
Game Mode Final Fight
What do we know about Final Fight in Fortnite? Not much is known about this game mode yet. However, we know that players must survive until the last storm circle and then fight for victory. During the Square Enix E3 Showcase, the coop event between Final Fantasy XIV and Monster Hunter: World was presented. Shortly thereafter, a video leaked on Facebook showing the well-known Final Fantasy monster Behemoth in the world of MHW.
The beast from FFXIV will invade the world of MHW in the summer of 2018 and compete with other monsters in territorial battles.
But what actually is a Behemoth?
The King of All Beasts
Behemoth is a powerful recurring foe in the Final Fantasy series: It has been present since the second game and is well-known and loved in the Final Fantasy community.
Behemoths usually appear alone and always have a high level in FF games. The stronger variations of the beast, such as King or Emperor Behemoth, often play the role of boss enemies.
What are its abilities? Behemoth is primarily distinguished by its incredible physical strength and defense. It usually attacks mainly with its claws or horns, dealing exceedingly high damage.
However, the beast is also capable of using strong magic. Its signature spell Meteor is normally executed by the Behemoth either as a counterattack or as a final strike just before its death, taking down enemies with it.
It seems he will also have this ability in Monster Hunter: World, as we see a fireball falling from the sky at the beginning of the leaked video.
Additionally, he can also cast defensive spells on himself to greatly reduce the damage taken.
How big is a Behemoth? Large. In the leaked video for the Monster Hunter: World event, we see the Behemoth casually chewing on the severed tail of a Deviljhoe.
It is at least as big as Jhoe, which is already among the largest monsters in MHW. Moreover, Behemoths can also stand on 2 legs, making them even larger.

The Final Fantasy series has practically endless amounts of cool monsters, but Behemoth fits best into the setting of Monster Hunter: World:
Of the recurring beast foes from FF games, it has the highest recognition value and is not too “magical” for the world of MHW.
Due to its design, Behemoth is well-suited for the fast, action-packed combat system of Monster Hunter: World and does not resemble the already implemented monsters too closely.
Its horns, claws, and tail are excellent for being broken off and used for armor.
The variations King and Emperor Behemoth could pass as “hardened” versions of the normal Behemoth.
The FF food “Behemoth Steaks” can be carried over as food in Monster Hunter: World.
Interestingly for Monster Hunter fans is also the fact that there are specific armor pieces in FFXIV that can be earned through PvP or exchanged for Behemoth horns.
It is possible that this armor could be carried over into Monster Hunter: World or serve as a template.

The new, free battle royale shooter Realm Royale is currently gaining popularity on Steam. Players can find here things that Fortnite or PUBG cannot offer. Even famous battle royale players like Ninja are showing interest in the Paladins spin-off.
Realm Royale stands out with classes: At first glance, Realm Royale is a classic battle royale shooter, but it has a special twist. Fallout 76, the upcoming survival MMO from Bethesda, is set to run only online and exclusively in multiplayer mode. However, there will also be private servers where you can still play solo or just with friends.
What are the reasons for the desire for solo play? Among many Fallout fans, there was great frustration when it was revealed at E3 2018 that Fallout 76 is to be a purely online and multiplayer game.
