Fallout 76 is already great for the fans, but there are supposed to be more surprises during the E3 press conference by Bethesda.
Only a few hours remain until Bethesda’s E3 2018 livestream. Fans are eagerly awaiting the presentation, as Bethesda likely has a few aces up its sleeve. Vice President Pete Hines explains that Bethesda has “more than one surprise left.”
What surprise could Bethesda be planning?
Bethesda has already shared some details about Fallout 76 and the upcoming open-world shooter Rage 2. With the Fallout reveal, the developers have already created positive vibes among the fans, who are looking forward to more info at E3. But that shouldn’t be the only highlight.
Fans became curious: After Pete Hines tweeted that the team is very excited about E3 2018, fans dug deeper. They asked for more hints about what to expect during the presentation.
There were no concrete hints. But the response was that more surprises are waiting.

Now speculation arises: Since there is no detailed information, fans are now pondering what they might expect. A few hot candidates are already established in the community.
Starfield: There have already been a few teasers and many rumors for the SciFi RPG – Will Bethesda finally reveal more about it?
New entry for the Elder Scrolls series: Perhaps a new single-player game?
Prey: The rumors about new content for Prey grew stronger before E3 2018. Whether it will be a new DLC or a standalone is still unclear.
Fallout Remaster: After the last Fallout announcement, fans hope the team has even more to share about the game. They are hoping for a remastered version of Fallout 3.
For Anthem fans on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, there is bad news. You will likely see BioWare’s latest game at a low frame rate.
Update 8:30 PM, June 10.: Apparently, there is a possibility that Mark Darrah was mistaken. In a new tweet, he explained on Twitter that there is a chance Anthem might run at a higher FPS on consoles after all. This particularly applies to the “newer variants” – presumably the Xbox One X and the PlayStation 4 Pro. It remains exciting to see if fans will get more graphic splendor on their consoles than previously assumed!

Original report: At E3, there was finally a lot of new information about Anthem. One particularly valuable source was an interview by Gameinformer. The Executive Producer Mark Darrah was bombarded with 123 “rapid-fire questions” and provided exciting insights into the game.
Anticipating Anthem fans on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have to swallow a bitter pill. Anthem will only run at 30 frames per second on consoles.

Why only 30 FPS? The rapid-fire interview did not provide a reason for the limitation to 30 FPS. However, the reasons are likely apparent. Anthem has demanding graphics, and the hardware of the PS4 and Xbox One is getting old. Presumably, the consoles from Sony and Microsoft are simply unable to present the game at an acceptable graphical quality with more frames per second.
PC players have no FPS limitation. Two questions later, the answer came to the question that was burning on PC players’ minds – and they can breathe easy. The PC version of Anthem will not have an FPS limitation, so they can enjoy higher frame rates and thus a smoother gaming experience – as long as their PC can handle it.
Further graphical limitations unknown. Whether Anthem needs to make further sacrifices in graphics, aside from the fixed FPS, is still unknown. Generally, the PC version of such AAA titles offers much more customization options and thus more details. However, this is not confirmed.
By the way, there is already a release date for Anthem. Anthem will be released early next year, on February 22, 2019, simultaneously on all platforms – that is, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

On this Sunday, the Microsoft press conference takes place as part of the E3 2018. Phil Spencer, head of the Xbox division, announced 15 world premieres and “much, much more” for the show.
Microsoft wants to hold a somewhat “different” press conference for E3 2018 this year. What exactly that means will be revealed later today. Phil Spencer announced on Twitter that the approximately 100-minute show will feature, among other things, 15 world premieres.
15 World Premieres and “More”
Plan enough time: Anyone wanting to present so many innovations will need plenty of time. According to the latest information, the Microsoft press conference is expected to last around 100 minutes.
What will be presented? What awaits us at the show is still unknown. Rumors suggest there will be more from Forza Horizon 4 or Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
As EA announced during their presentation yesterday, there should be more information and footage of the upcoming Battlefield V during Microsoft’s presentation.
However, as Phil Spencer recently stated on Twitter, 15 world premieres and “much, much more” will be showcased during the presentation on Sunday evening. This “more” likely includes deeper insights into games that have already been previously announced.

This year, there will also be more to see about Crackdown 3, which was first announced at E3 2017. The open-world game was recently delayed to February 2019.
What Games Are Fans Hoping For
Halo 6: Fans are waiting for a continuation of the story surrounding Master Chief. Even though the story of Halo 5 wasn’t received very warmly by players, they naturally want to know what happens next after the nasty cliffhanger with Cortana and the Chief.
Furthermore, the main entries in the Halo series have always been released at three-year intervals. Halo – Combat Evolved came out in 2001, followed by Halo 2 in 2004 and Halo 3 in 2007. The current “Reclaimer Saga” from 343 Industries continues this trend: Halo 4 was released in 2012, while Halo 5 launched in October 2015. Consequently, fans might expect Halo 6 in 2018.
Gears of War 5: Gears of War 5 was announced together with a new entry in the Forza series in the big leak from the retail chain Walmart. Many websites viewed the leak as confirmation of the E3 2018 lineup, while the retailer itself claimed it was due to a technical problem.
Cyberpunk 2077: The organizers of E3 2018 have already revealed on their website that CD Projekt RED will have a booth at the expo this year. Players suspect that there will finally be footage of the RPG – and that it will be shown during Microsoft’s presentation.
Six years had to be spent by a Runescape player in prison after he “just wanted to troll” another player – the FBI arrested him.
Six years had to be spent by Josh Pillaut in prison after he got into an argument online with another player. He actually just wanted to “troll” him – but it went horribly wrong when more and more evidence and statements began to turn against him. For many, this was a precedent.
What happened back then? Nineteen-year-old Josh Pillaut got into a discussion in the game Runescape on October 4, 2012. Another player told him to “commit suicide.” The two players insulted each other and hurled various threats. Pillaut went too far by saying that he would “shoot up Oxford High School” and that he “couldn’t wait to blow their brains out.” Four days later, the FBI was at his door and arrested Pillaut.
Additional evidence against him: Not helpful for his claims of innocence was the fact that the FBI had examined Pillaut’s PC and found documents “related to assembling bombs and other explosives.” His YouTube search history was also used against him, as he searched for the game “Super Columbine Massacre RPG” and “instructions on how to build a sawed-off shotgun and info on Molotov cocktails.”
An interest in the macabre “ran in the family”: In an interview with PCGamer, Pillaut explained that the files indeed exist – which he has never denied. However, he never intended to harm anyone. He had always had a fascination with the macabre, and for him, that was part of daily life. Many members of his family worked in the justice system, so conversations about murderers and serial killers were common. They often discussed how such people think and what needs to go wrong for someone to commit such an act. “Just like other families discuss their work and hobbies, this was something like our hobby,” his mother confirmed.
The case was much larger. There were statements from two ex-girlfriends confirming his “obsession” with the Columbine massacre. Additionally, he had a steep drug career. Alcohol and marijuana at 14, cocaine at 15, and by 17 a severe addiction to various inhalants.
In the end, it turns out that the trigger for his nearly six-year prison stay was a few thoughtless words in an online game.
Hopefully, this story serves as a warning to some. The internet is not an anonymous, lawless space – the more people understand this, the better it is for everyone.
Today, Mein-MMO is back on the E3MAX stream. We talk with you about shared-world shooters like Anthem, The Division 2, and Destiny 2.
Our second live appearance on the E3MAX stream is today, June 10, at 7:00 PM. Yesterday we talked with you about MMORPGs; today we’re going in a completely different direction: MMO shooters. Anthem is generating huge hype, and The Division 2 is also highly anticipated. And what about the Avengers Project? What can we expect at E3 2018 on that topic?
Can Destiny 2 make a turnaround?
In the stream, you will see our head Dawid, along with our authors Leya and Sven, at 7 PM. Together they will discuss MMO shooters like Destiny 2, Anthem, The Division 2, and their future. What does such a shooter need to be successful?
Of course, Destiny 2 is also a major topic in the stream – Can the game still make a turnaround and boost player morale?
The new game “Anthem” will only have one title that is supposed to be developed further. An Anthem 2 is not planned. For our author Schuhmann, this is a sign that the world has changed on PS4 and Xbox One. Destiny and The Division are still relics from a time when the market was different.
New Generation: One must be aware that games that are released today were planned and developed years ago:
In 2010, it was established in a contract between Bungie and Activision that Destiny 2 would be released two years after the first part. It was 2017 before this really took effect.
Anthem, which will be released in 2019, is meant to remain the only game in its franchise. An Anthem 2 is not planned. This decision was likely made just recently, and it reflects the new market on PS4 and Xbox One.
Why end and continue an online game? Fans have long struggled with the ancient decision to keep the game going and leave behind what was developed for the first part. A Destiny 3 is likely already in development, and a Destiny 4 and Destiny 5 are also planned according to contract. Bungie has not found a convincing answer to why there had to be a Destiny 2. “Because we had it in the contract,” joked Destiny 2 director Luke Smith once, adding: “A 2 on the title signals better that it’s a fresh start where everyone can join.”
Where is something new? However, the arguments for a fresh start crumbled Destiny 2 in the first hours of gameplay. There was really nothing new in Destiny 2, but rather much that was recycled. Players were supposed to lose everything in Destiny 2 and stand before nothing:
Their homeland destroyed
Deprived of their powers
and the huge arsenal of armor and weapons simply gone, destroyed in the Cabal’s attack
And indeed: The Guardians dramatically lost their powers, as shown in the PR. But shortly after, they got their powers back – just like their homeland and the main part of their weapons. Everything back to the state of Destiny 1.
The problem with continuations: Therefore, fans find it hard to understand why they should buy a Destiny 2 when there are no huge differences between part 1 and 2, and no new console generation has appeared. Today, many fans complain that Destiny 2 should simply have been released as a major expansion for Destiny 1.
Investments only temporarily: Furthermore, with the continuation model, everything achieved in one part is only “gained temporarily.” In the next part, players start again naked – thus losing what has been achieved. The game also lacks the content of the first part. “Mammoth worlds” that MMORPGs like World of Warcraft have been working on for 14 or The Elder Scrolls Online for four years are never possible if the old is constantly being discarded.
Content droughts annoy: While waiting for the new game in the continuation strategy, content drought usually prevails in the old part. There is a “drought period” that can easily last over a year. While continued games like The Elder Scrolls Online offer something new every three months in the form of a DLC or a larger expansion, old games dry out while fans wait for the new part.
Money was made at PS4 and Xbox One long at the checkout
Changed business model: The existence of Destiny 2 and the upcoming The Division 2 is because both games were still developed with the “old console market” of PS4 and Xbox One in mind. The games still follow the model of “Call of Duty.” Money is made at the checkout, with the sale of “game boxes” or DLCs. However, this no longer reflects the reality of the market in 2018. The PC has long been a digital market with Steam – PS4 and Xbox One are catching up quickly.
New world on PS4 and Xbox One: One can see how digital sales of DLCs, the season pass, or cosmetic items in the cash shop have become increasingly dominant during the game’s runtime. A sale of a new game is not necessarily required today if you can earn so much money digitally. No game demonstrates this better than Fortnite, which makes millions with the battle pass and continuously new skins. Analysts believe this is a model for the future.
Anthem has recognized this: Anthem is therefore a child of the new age. EA wants to make money through microtransactions and DLCs, to further develop a game rather than constantly bringing out new titles. The question will be whether Destiny and The Division will also adopt this model or whether we will really have to expect a Destiny 3 or a The Division 3 in the coming years, while on the other side the world of Anthem continues to develop and people there can keep their stuff that they once acquired digitally.
A reddit user discovered a tweet that shows a selfie of a player. In the background, you can see the demo of FIFA 19, which selected individuals were allowed to play at the EA Play event.
If this is the same demo version that will be released for all players in the fall, we can expect the following teams:
FC Bayern Munich
Juventus Turin
Paris St. Germain
Manchester United
Real Madrid
Atletico Madrid
Tottenham Hotspurs
Borussia Dortmund
There also comes an unrecognizable team with a circular logo. For this club, one could only speculate, one option could be Manchester City.
When will the FIFA 19 demo be released?
EA has announced the release of FIFA 19, but not the release date for the demo.
From past experiences, it can be inferred that it will likely be released about two weeks before FIFA’s release. Thus, the “FIFA 19” demo could be available for download around mid-September.
Fortnite: Battle Royale (PC, PS4, iOS & Xbox One) has announced a new weapon: The infrared assault rifle with scope. This allows you to better detect opponents. Does this mean the end for campers?
A new weapon has been announced: Regularly, the developers of Fortnite introduce new weapons into the game. This time, a new assault rifle has been announced. The new Assault Rifle features a scope and an infrared targeting device.
According to the description, this should allow you to better track down opponents.
Camping soon pointless?
What can the new assault rifle do? The infrared assault rifle with scope is likely a legendary weapon, as indicated by the orange background. Therefore, it should be relatively rare. Most likely, the infrared assault rifle highlights the outlines of hidden opponents when you aim at their hideout. So those who like to hide in bushes and wait for opponents will likely be quickly spotted with the new weapon.
This is what the start screen in Fortnite currently looks like.
Therefore, some players are already predicting the end of campers in Fortnite: Battle Royale. On the other hand, camping is reportedly not as effective anymore according to our author Robert as it used to be. The game has likely changed in that respect.
New weapon coming soon
When will the new assault rifle arrive? So far, information about the infrared assault rifle with scope only appears as an announcement on the Fortnite start screen. However, this indicates that it will likely be found in the game soon.
If everything goes as usual, the new weapon should be put into use soon. Fans are expecting the next update in the coming week. Then it will be revealed whether the new assault rifle is as OP as some players currently fear or whether it ultimately remains fair.
As part of E3, EA Sports released some information about FIFA 19. There have also been some comments about the gameplay already. Here you will find everything about the innovations that affect the pure gameplay.
The release of FIFA 19 is on 28.09.2018 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and the Switch. The pre-order editions are already known, along with some information about the game, such as the Champions League license.
With the gameplay changes to FIFA 19, EA aims to enhance players’ control over the game, both tactically and technically. Below, we provide an overview of all gameplay features that EA aims to implement for FIFA 19.
[toc]
Finishing Timings: The New Shot System
How do I use the finishing timing? To use the new shooting feature, simply double-tap the shoot button during the finishing attempt. The second button press determines the success or failure of the shot.
When does the ball come “precise and powerful”? To receive the shot boost, the second button press must occur exactly when the player touches the ball with their foot or head. The less precise it is, the higher the likelihood that the ball will go into the clouds.
What kind of visual feedback do I get? If the trainer is activated, a bar appears above the player during finishing timing, where two white lines move toward each other. If the second press occurs when both lines are in the green bar area, you will receive the optimal shot boost. If the trainer is not active, the display occurs on the triangle above the player. You can also rely on the player’s shot animation.
In-game material from FIFA 19 with the trainer activated
When can I use finishing timing? The innovation is applicable to every type of shot. Long shots, headers, or tricky finishes – everything is possible.
What happens now with the “Low-Driven Shot”? The execution is very similar to the driven low shot: First press to charge, second to refine. The execution is now done via shooting and the two front shoulder buttons (L1+R1 or LB+RB).
Can I still shoot normally? Yes, you do not have to use the new system. Especially for rebounds or when close to the goal, it is probably not advisable to take the risk. The system is based on the “risk/reward” mechanic.
Active Touch System: Improved Ball Control and Reception
There seem to be changes in ball control every year, and FIFA 19 is no different: it aims to provide great game flow, creativity, and more unpredictability. Innovations are urgently needed here, as a major criticism from eSports players in FIFA 18 is that many games end in “ping-pong”.
New features include concealed ball receptions, flick-up volleys, or skill-specific animations such as Neymar’s trap.
The latter is executed by holding a shoulder button: If you aim before receiving the ball with the stick in one direction and change this just before the ball contact to the other, your player will change their line of sight at the last second. This could lead to interesting “mind games” especially in online play.
The flick-up volleys are executed using the right analog stick. This should be easy to perform and can result in spectacular goals.
You can see this new gameplay feature in the video here:

This system is completely overhauled. Players should now be able to have significantly more game variations up their sleeves.
Specifically, it means: More customization options before the game and more D-pad options for dynamic changes during the match.
The new tactics combine formations, mentalities, and offensive as well as defensive playing styles. Therefore, FIFA 19 could offer a lot for tactic enthusiasts.
Pep Guardiola introduces the dynamic tactics here:

In the 50/50 battles, the speed of response from the user and the players’ attributes determine who can win loose balls. Thanks to increased player intelligence and better spatial awareness, every duel for ball possession is important.
What should be noticeable in the game is that there will be significantly more duels for balls in open space. Currently, it often happens that the players do not pay attention to balls that are a few meters away but not explicitly assigned to them. This could change in FIFA 19.
Real Player Motion Technology: New Player Animations
As every year, EA promises that players will be recognized more by their typical movements. FIFA 19 is also expected to have new and improved animations. These include:
A new champion might be coming for League of Legends (LoL) that has to do with lions and wolves. Or are they skins? A new game mode?
The German Twitter account of League of Legends is causing a lot of speculation in the community with its recent tweet. An image shows a lion and wolves somehow united as a kind of weapon. Along with text indicating that two powers are colliding. Now the question is whether Riot wants to present a new champion or is planning other new content for League of Legends.
The Lion Tweet from League of Legends
By now, League of Legends is known for dropping teasers before the official presentation of new content. Then, LoL’s Facebook pages have a teaser image before anyone else and fans start to speculate. Hours or even days later, Riot then reveals what the teaser meant.
In this tweet, League of Legends Germany introduces the new theme for speculation. “Two powers collide: The lion wants to reign forever. The wolf hungers for endless war,” it says. A date is also included – June 27, 2018.

In the image, we recognize a shiny lion’s head along with two heads of wolves. The three heads are combined at the bottom with a kind of blade.
How the players speculate:
A new champion? Sure, Riot Games could introduce a new hero for LoL. But just recently Pyke was released – so it would be quite early for a new hero.
New skins for Garen and Darius? Fans believe so on Reddit. User WindIsMyFriend writes: I think it’s Dawnbringer Garen and Nightbringer Darius. If you look closely, you can see that the one in the middle looks like Garen’s sword and the other with the wolves looks like Darius’ axe.
Lore event? Instead of a new champion or skins, Riot could also present an event here.
We will learn more by June 27 at the latest, as that is the date indicated by the tweet. What do you think the players are expecting?
An early highlight of the EA press conference was Command & Conquer: Rivals, at least for our author Schuhmann. He hasn’t had this much fun in a long time regarding the shortest hype in the world.
The shortest hype in the world: Yesterday, the first press conference of E3 2018 took place. Electronic Arts was up. I watched the pre-show in the live stream “E3MAX” by GameStar. The hosts were overjoyed for about 3 minutes and then suddenly very sad. What happened there?

Command & Conquer at E3: One of the GameStar employees spotted a banner for “Command & Conquer” on the show floor in LA. Within seconds, a dream scenario was constructed based on this banner that brought tears to the eyes of every PC nostalgic and strategy fan.

The dream scenario: Like Age of Empires, Command & Conquer is coming back! Perhaps in an HD remastered version or even as a new installment.
Nostalgics in full hype: For about 3 to 5 minutes, the editors were excited and danced in their chairs during the live stream. You could hear the genuine euphoria of PC gamers, who still have a bit of their hearts in the 90s and are against online and Free2Play. But it got even worse.
The grim premonition: Then one of the editors murmured in the live stream, “Yes, behind this banner, there are mobile phones involved.” And a dream world fell apart.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyNXQpAFQJc
Hype gone: Immediately, the mood shifted. Because of course: EA is making a mobile game out of Command & Conquer. The dreams of PC strategy fans were instantly shattered. But it didn’t go well for EA either. A trade show is the most dreadful place to present such a game.
Mobile is just bad on a big stage
EA’s plan: In EA’s plan, two iconic gladiators were supposed to confront each other in a gripping battle. The audience would see it, be excited and applaud. The people at home would get into it, realize how fascinated everyone in the hall is by the battle, and become totally hyped about the game. Only then would they reveal to the fans: “This is Command & Conquer: Rivals – we are bringing your dream game back, and everyone can play it.” People would faint from excitement, then wake up and rush into the Google Play Store, downloading the download of Command & Conquer: Rivals in droves.
The reality: They invited NickatNyte (Clash of Clans specialist) and InControl (pro StarCraft player). The two then sat down on chairs, pulled out their mobile phones, and tapped around for 3 or 4 minutes. Then the shoutcaster was yelling something like “This is incredibly important – totally important – just one more shot – Wow!” Along with that, gameplay was visible which nobody could really make sense of, looking like any standard mobile game or a PC game from the late 90s.
Very weak applause
The reality: Mobile is just bad on a big stage. The problem is: Watching a mobile game is like watching chess when you don’t know the rules. The game is unreadable for outsiders. The shoutcasters yelled some militaristic commands like “Nuke, Nuke,” while the two eSports pros tried to pretend it wasn’t just a ridiculously well-paid PR gig, and the mood after the segment was quite low.
When the EA manager asked for applause after the presentation, it was so thin that they quickly moved on with the program. The highlight was then to tell the people: “That was Command & Conquer Rivals,” but it didn’t really impress anyone. Better to quickly show the trailer.
The audience problem: Mobile games cater to “casuals,” but at a gaming fair, hardcore fans are present. EA faces the same problem every year with sports games: The audience for those games is just rarely at the fair. The people who are there want to see new installments of their classics or innovative core games: shooters, role-playing games, adventures, action games.
EA did not do Command & Conquer: Rivals any favors with this
Mobile games can be good, but you can’t see it here: The presentation ultimately says nothing about the quality of the game. Mobile games don’t need to be readable for the uninformed or have top-notch graphics to work. Hearthstone also needs to be played to understand it. But when mobile games are presented in the way Command & Conquer: Rivals was, you can understand why PC gamers and nostalgics have a meltdown when they hear “mobile” in connection with their favorite game franchise.
The headlines following the conference were lines like “Look what they’ve done to Command & Conquer” or “Command and Conquer disappoints everyone.”

Mobile has to be presented differently: These are problems that the gaming industry is struggling with, as evident with Lineage2Revolution. Mobile generates a tremendous amount of revenue, and publishers also want to spend a bunch of money on PR, but this way, it doesn’t work. To reach the mass of gamers, investing in commercials like in the past with Clash of Clans would be better. Or you really have to bring the game closer to the players and let them experience it themselves. Anyone who thinks they can present a new mobile game as an eSports event is taking on a mammoth task.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLnybECpL_Y
After Command & Conquer, Warcraft is next
Blizzard will have the same problem: How to make these mobile games appealing to their “core audience” will be a problem all western publishers will have to tackle. Especially considering that by the end of the year Blizzard will have to explain to its fans why they are not getting a “Warcraft IV” as a PC strategy game, but rather a “Warcraft Mobile.” We will see at BlizzCon how Blizzard handles this. Maybe PC fans will again freak out for 5 minutes, “Oh God, they are bringing Warcraft back,” before they realize, “Oh, there are mobile phones involved.”
Anthem will be supplied with story content for a long time. There are clear boundaries between multiplayer gameplay and story.
During E3 2018, Bioware explained that the upcoming shooter Anthem places a special focus on story. The game is designed to allow for story DLC to be released “for years”. Fans want this, believes BioWare.
Lead Writer Cathleen Rootsaert explains that new missions, world events, or storylines can be added to Anthem at any time. That’s why Anthem won’t be a multiplayer game where the story is diluted. It will be “something new and different”.
There is singleplayer content in your base
Outside your hub in Anthem, there is the multiplayer world where you can play with other players. You return to your base after missions and experience the singleplayer part of Anthem there. This is meant to ensure that the game’s story does not feel too brief, while you can still play in co-op with your friends.
Through your actions with NPCs and solving specific quests, the story of your Anthem can differ from that of other players.
FIFA 19 can be played a few days before release by pre-ordering the Champions Edition. What is included in the Champions Edition and whether it is worth it for you can be found here.
Play FIFA 19 as one of the first: The upcoming football simulation from EA Sports celebrates its release on September 28 this year. However, it is possible to play the full version of FIFA 19 a few days early – specifically on September 25. The day you can start depends on your decision on which edition of FIFA 19 you purchase.
Which edition do I need to buy to play FIFA 19 before the official release? There are three editions of FIFA 19: the Standard, Champions, and Ultimate Editions. You must pre-order either the Champions Edition or the Ultimate Edition to receive early access. While the Champions Edition is available for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch, the Ultimate Edition is exclusive to PS4, Xbox One, and PC – and is only available digitally.
Let’s take a closer look at the Champions Edition now.
Overview of the Champions Edition of FIFA 19 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch
Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, PC, Switch
Release: September 25, 2018
Price: €89.99 (PS4, Xbox One), €79.99 (PC, Switch)
Contents of the Champions Edition:
The game “FIFA 19”
3 days of early access – you can play FIFA 19 starting September 25
Up to 20 Jumbo Premium Gold Packs for FUT 19 (1 pack each week for 20 weeks)
One loan item of Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar for FUT 19 (7 matches each)
One “UEFA Champions League” gold player of your choice (choose one of five gold players (80-83 OVR) from qualified teams)
Special edition FUT jerseys from FIFA soundtrack artists
Are the benefits of the Champions Edition worth it for me?
The Champions Edition of FIFA 19 costs a hefty €20 more than the Standard Edition, which makes many fans reconsider whether the benefits justify the extra cost.
For many fans, the main argument: Early access
Many FIFA fans take vacation time at the end of September each year to dive right into the latest FIFA installment. Especially in online modes such as FUT or Pro Clubs, it’s important to get started immediately, so as not to fall behind. Every day counts when you can earn coins or upgrade your pro.
Three days can feel like a painfully long time when you have to watch others play while you wait for your FIFA 19 edition. Therefore, all players eager to dive into the new FIFA season will likely consider the Champions or Ultimate Edition.
However, early access is not the only bonus that the Champions Edition offers to justify the €20 premium. You also receive many extras for the Ultimate Team mode FUT 19:
Compared to the Standard Edition, the Champions Edition grants not only Cristiano Ronaldo but also Neymar as a loan player for 7 matches. Some may be pleased that they can use Neymar temporarily – but that’s not a reason for anyone to purchase the more expensive edition.
The special edition FUT jerseys from FIFA soundtrack artists are also included in the pre-order Standard Edition and therefore do not justify purchasing the Champions Edition.
New in the Champions Edition is the “UEFA Champions League” gold player. You can choose from 5 players from CL-qualified teams to select one for your team. However, this will not be a top player like Ronaldo, Messi, etc., as the available players only have overall ratings between 80 and 83. Useful for building an initial team, but no guarantee for quickly getting a top player. This bonus alone certainly is not worth €20.
However, the 20 Jumbo Premium Gold Packs for FUT 19 that you get with the Champions Edition are interesting. That’s 15 more packs than if you pre-order the Standard Edition (which contains 5 of these packs). A Jumbo Premium Gold pack usually costs 15,000 coins or 300 FIFA Points. In total, the 15 additional free packs are worth 4500 FIFA Points, which is nearly €40. However, you won’t receive all 20 packs of the Champions Edition immediately at launch. For 20 weeks, there will be only one pack each week. By the way: A Jumbo Premium Gold pack contains 24 mixed cards, including 7 rare ones.
You are willing and your account allows you to spend €80 or €90 for a game,
You definitely want to start on September 25,
You will play FUT 19 frequently and happily in the first weeks after launch,
and you planned to invest additional money into Ultimate Team mode.
Here you can pre-order the Champions Edition on Amazon:
Oops, unfortunately this affiliate widget is no longer available.
Stay away from the Champions Edition if:
You have little time at the end of September or don’t mind starting a few days later,
You will play FUT 19 extremely intensively – then you could also purchase the even more expensive Ultimate Edition, which gives you 40 Jumbo Premium Gold Packs
or you don’t play FUT at all – or only play FUT a little – and prefer other modes like Career, Pro Clubs, or The Journey. Then the Standard Edition is sufficient.
Anthem aims to offer players a lot. The activities in the game will also include dungeons and raids.
After the numerous reveals at E3 2018, the thirst for knowledge of Anthem fans is far from quenched. The developers are doing their best to answer the many questions, and interesting details keep coming to light. It has now been revealed that there will also be dungeons and raids in Anthem.
Anthem gets “Strongholds” – Raids for 4 players
Raids are called “Strongholds”. The particularly tough challenges in Anthem will be the so-called “Strongholds” – fortresses populated by particularly tough adversaries. According to Mark Darrah, these Strongholds can only be completed with a group, but are not necessary for the progression of the story. This already sounds suspiciously like an endgame content that can be tackled with friends after finishing the story.
Strongholds are for 4 players. The Strongholds are designed for groups of a total of four players. With fewer players, it will not even be possible to enter these places. You must either invite friends into the game or rely on the matchmaking to face these challenges.

Raids but not Destiny. Even though raids are not an invention of Destiny, players are increasingly recognizing parallels between the two games. Even if BioWare emphasizes that they are “not Destiny”.
Differences elsewhere. That Anthem and Destiny have clear differences can be well established at other points. Because Anthem will, according to the current status, not bring any PvP and be a pure PvE game. This gives the developers much more freedom in designing weapons and effects. An exact balancing of the weapons is then not necessary, as no “PvP fairness” needs to be established.
The new information from E3 makes players hungry for Anthem. But one question remains: Is there a beta?
The press conference by EA at E3 2018 brought many new insights about Anthem. For instance, there was an initial story trailer for the new BioWare game, and in-game gameplay footage was shown, allowing players to get a first impression of the gameplay. However, one question is burning on the minds of many players: What about signing up for the beta?
Signing up for beta not possible yet. Although the remaining time is less than nine months until release, which is getting a bit tight, there is still no possibility to sign up for the beta. The E3 provided no new information.
Beta only for pre-orderers? Some fans speculate that the early playable demos, which pre-orderers can participate in, are basically beta tests. Here, BioWare could find out how the gameplay or individual game mechanics are received by the fans. However, this is not confirmed. It does sound like a potential bonus. This would also align with earlier statements from the developers.
Financial Call mentioned “player feedback”. Some time ago, EA spoke about the topic in a Financial Call. According to them, they wanted to enable players to “dive into the game early” in order to make improvements based on the feedback. In essence, this only described a beta phase.
At least for the next few months, one should not expect a beta. With a release in February 2019, the topic should come back to light again at the latest in the fall of this year.
Are you excited about Anthem? Would you want to participate in a beta if it takes place? Or do you want to avoid ruining the story and rather wait for the final release of the game?

Anthem can now be pre-ordered. We reveal what is included in the different versions of the game.
As soon as the upcoming BioWare game Anthem was presented in more detail at E3, there are already options for pre-ordering. As is customary for a current game, there are different versions and then additional bonuses for pre-order customers. We tell you what is included in the individual game versions.
Bonuses for pre-ordering Anthem: Regardless of the version of the game, pre-order customers receive VIP access to the demo versions of the game. In addition, there is a “Founder’s Player Banner,” an in-game item that lets you show the world that you supported the game from the beginning. Pre-order customers of the Standard version also receive the cosmetic “Legion of Dawn” armor pack and weapon for the Ranger.
More cosmetics in the “Legion of Dawn Edition”: Significantly more upgrades are available in the “Legion of Dawn” edition for nearly €80 (Standard version: €60). This includes all the bonuses mentioned above and additionally:
“Legion of Dawn” armor packs for the classes Colossus, Storm, and Interceptor
The “Nger Javelin exosuit legendary gear attachement” – An upgrade for the gear
The soundtrack of Anthem in digital form
Everything included in “Origin Access Premier”. EA is trying to focus players’ attention on its new program “Origin Access Premier“. All PC players who choose the premium service will receive all the bonuses that would be included in the other two versions. However, the premium service costs €15 per month or alternatively €100 per year. However, it also provides access to all EA titles.
If you want to become stronger in Bless Online, you cannot avoid the elite mobs. These enemies reward brave players with experience points and exquisite loot. They appear at these locations.
Reddit user KrystallAnn has created a map where interested players can find the spawn locations of all elite mobs in Bless. We show you the best farming spot.
Powerful Enemies
Elite mobs are spread across the entire map of Bless Online, and there are three types:
neutral elite mobs: These mobs are located in the border area between Hieron and Union
Hieron elite mobs: These mobs are located in the protected area of the Hieron faction. If you hunt them as a Hieron player, Union players cannot attack you.
Union elite mobs: Mobs in the protected area of the Union. As a Union player, you are safe.
Especially in the south of the continent, many elite mobs can be found.
Hunting elite mobs is worth it. Certain elite mobs drop powerful weapons that significantly increase your equipment level. Especially between levels 30 and 45, it is advisable to always wear the best possible equipment, because you can be attacked by other players at any time in contested areas.
Elite mobs that can drop weapons can be recognized by the treasure chest symbol next to the skull.
Off to Southern Peninsula
In the southeast of the continent, there is a contested area with neutral elite mobs of high level. During the main quest, you will be teleported there, but theoretically, you can travel there as a level 1.
Why is it worth traveling there? For killing an elite mob in the area, you receive double the amount of experience points compared to taking down a normal elite mob. So, you only need to kill half as many enemies to achieve the same leveling progress. However, a detour to the area is advisable only from level 43. Many strong players are lurking there who would love to take you down.
Moreover, almost all elite mobs there drop powerful weapons with which you can strengthen your class.
How do I get there? You head to the mountains east of Spezia and simply walk up the mountain. In front of you lies a short path through no man’s land. After a while, you will arrive at Southern Peninsula and can face the elite mobs.
For a long time, it was quite silent about the Life is Feudal: MMO. Almost half a year after the Early Access release of Life is Feudal: MMO, there is now the first major update for the medieval survival game.
The update brings many innovations: With the first major update, developer Bitbox delivers a bunch of new features. New game content and a revised world await you, where you can switch between different servers.
These are the major features of the update for Life is Feudal: MMO
Since the Early Access release of Life is Feudal: MMO, the game world has changed a bit. There are now more servers where you can play, sorted by colors: red for pure PvP with full destructibility of buildings, green for “99% safe cities” and less PvP.
The worlds are merged: The worlds (or servers) are no longer separate with the new update. Players can freely move between worlds and even switch and trade between green and red worlds.
However, there are some restrictions. Regular players can switch worlds only once a week, while premium players can do so every two days. But you can communicate with all players regardless of your world and trade with anyone at trade posts.
PvP in the Arena: In the new update, you can compete against other players in a PvP arena. The arena is a special area in the world where you can die without penalties on skills and respawn infinitely.
Up to 20 players compete in a free-for-all in the arena – without mounts. Killing opponents gives you points, which you lose upon death. A round lasts 15 minutes, and the player with the most points wins. As a reward, coins and PvP points await.
Live your religion with the Clergy: As a new system alongside politics, war, and agriculture, the clergy is introduced. If you worship your god sufficiently during the week, you’ll become a Makthrid (Cardinal). The player with the highest faith value becomes Archimankur (Pope).
As Archimankur, you can spread your messages across the world and use your power to exclude entire guilds from the religious community. The clergy has a significant influence on politics – but the decisions of the Archimankur must be confirmed by his Makthrids.
New Outposts: With outposts, you can conveniently gather resources and expand your lands. Wherever you find a suitable place, you can establish an outpost that then produces specific resources for you.
There are different types of outposts, such as mines, sawmills, mills, or quarries, which produce corresponding goods. In red worlds, posts are also available where you can produce slaves and Barmosag.
Enslave your enemies – whether players or NPCs: One of the most interesting features of the major “Life is Feudal: MMO” update is the slavery system. Slaves gather resources faster at outposts. Up to four slaves can work per outpost. The more slaves, the higher the productivity.
You can obtain slaves through trade, a slave outpost in red worlds, or by enslaving other players in red worlds. During the hour of reckoning, you can “enslave” other players. They then carry the title “enslaved” for two days, and the victor receives a slave in their inventory – players are not actually used as slaves. The gameplay does not change for slaves.
If you are not careful, you will be enslaved.
Leaderboards for Guilds: Guilds are listed at the end of a game day on a leaderboard. Points are calculated from the number, size, and quality of all buildings and immovable objects and items within the lands.
What do you think of the innovations? Do you like them? What do you think of the slavery system? Let us know your opinion!

New information about The Division 2! An E3 poster reveals first details about the sequel to the successful online shooter ahead of the official presentation. Apparently, The Division 2 will feature a new city, a new season, and fresh weapons.
The wave of leaks before E3 2018 has now also affected The Division 2. A poster from the major gaming fair has already been photographed and uploaded to reddit. The poster unmistakably shows the setting of The Division 2: Washington D.C!
What is depicted on the poster? Three agents in combat gear are seen running towards a large building, which is clearly the Capitol in Washington D.C.
New City for The Division 2
Washington D.C. is the capital of the USA and is located near the East Coast. It is also home to the seat of the US government. Notable buildings include the White House, the Washington Monument, and the Capitol.
The city is home to, among others,
the World Bank,
the International Monetary Fund (IMF)
and the USA regional office of the World Health Organization (WHO).
New Season for The Division 2
Warmer times ahead? A winter scenario, as seen in The Division, seems unlikely based on the clothes the agents are wearing on the banner.
It looks like we might be facing a spring/summer setting in The Division 2.
Crossbows and Grenade Launchers Spotted
New weapon types on board? The depicted agents are also equipped with weapons that were not present in the predecessor. Crossbows seem to be included, as well as grenade launchers.
Whether these weapons will be freely selectable or belong to fixed classes and class skills is not known at this time.
Washington D.C. as the Setting for The Division 2
Fewer skyscrapers, more space: Washington D.C. is an interesting setting. The city is not a massive collection of skyscrapers like New York, with several million inhabitants. The buildings are mostly rather low and the city offers significantly more wide spaces.
How much of the city will ultimately be in the game remains to be seen. Only part of Manhattan made its way into The Division from New York.
Story-wise, the city definitely makes sense, as it is the seat of government and represents an important site for the World Health Organization. Perhaps Aaron Keener was planning a trip to D.C.?
How the implementation of grenade launchers and crossbows will look is also not yet known. However, a crossbow could indicate a stealth component, while the launcher could serve to control groups of enemies.
The Division 2 at E3
We are excited and looking forward to the official presentation at the Ubisoft conference! This will take place on Monday, June 11th at 10 PM German time. Make sure to mark this in your calendar. We will also keep you updated.
Update June 10th, 11:20 PM: Information described here has already been confirmed to be true at Microsoft’s press conference.
Shortly after EA kicked off E3 2018 with the presentation of the new multiplayer trailer for Battlefield 5, there is now first official gameplay from the Grand Operations. We have summarized the details for you.
After the release of the official multiplayer trailer for Battlefield 5 during EA’s appearance at E3 2018, there is finally some video material and further information about the Grand Operations – the potential centerpiece of the Battlefield 5 multiplayer. We explain what the Grand Operations are and how to play them.
This is how the Grand Operations work in Battlefield 5
What are the Grand Operations? The Grand Operations are a game mode in the multiplayer of Battlefield 5.
What makes the Grand Operations special? As the name suggests, these are large-scale operations and thus the most extensive mode in the multiplayer part of Battlefield 5. 64 players split into two teams compete against each other.
How do the Grand Operations unfold?
For both sides, the goal over several days is to accomplish a specific objective. However, days do not mean real 24 hours, but a prolonged match round. There will be up to four combat days. Each day a different game mode is played.
Day 1: On the Narvik map from the video, the first day begins for the Allied attackers with an airborne invasion. As part of a paratrooper unit, you jump in at night over the map. You determine the drop location and time. But beware – if you hesitate too long, a quick death from the Wehrmacht’s anti-air fire threatens.
Once landed, the attackers initially have to destroy 4 anti-aircraft guns. To do this, they must first collect the explosives scattered across the map. Then the explosives must be placed on the guns.
However, this sounds much easier than it actually is. Because the guns are well defended. Especially the Fortification feature – that is, the buildable fortifications – comes into play strongly here. Furthermore, after activating the explosives, they need to be protected for a while, as they can also be defused by the defenders.
Your advance can also be supported by various war equipment such as tanks, guns, and planes. But beware – heavy war machinery like tanks now has limited ammunition. Once the supplies are exhausted, they need to be replenished.
The more guns you destroy on Day 1, the more it will influence Day 2.
Day 2: Day two now begins in daylight, and for the Allies, it is now about advancing further into the city. The game mode also changes. On Day 2, you play Breakthrough. Now, you have to capture several flags in succession. The defenders will try to push back the attackers with infantry and all available war machinery. The attackers must take sector after sector – until they have captured all or the tickets run out.
Days 3 and 4: In the build shown in the video, only the first two days were included. In the finished game, there will be up to four combat days. On each subsequent day, a different mode is played. If there is no clear winner on Day 3, the Final Stand mode will be active on the fourth and last day. Then, players from both teams spawn with only one life and very limited resources. The last survivor brings overall victory for the respective team.
