Dr. Boom’s Lab in Hearthstone is live. We have three cool, new decks for the new expansion that can help you achieve success quickly! We have the “Magnetic Bomber” Hunter, the new Token Druid, and a deck featuring the legendary Mecha’Thun for Warlock.
The latest expansion for Hearthstone is live. However, if you are totally overwhelmed by the 135 new cards and are being rolled over by other players, we have a solution.
We present to you three great decks that can give you tons of fun. If you want to try out the decks, all you need to do is copy the “deck list” and paste it into Hearthstone. The game will then ask you if you want to import the deck.
Hunters are known for their love of “Face Damage” and this hasn’t changed with Dr. Boom’s Lab. The “Magnetic Bomber” deck by WillPwn makes perfect use of the new bombs from the expansion.
The deck consists of many cards that can summon Goblin Bombs. These bombs are fundamentally weak 0/2 minions whose death rattles deal 2 damage to the opposing hero. However, through numerous synergies with other cards and the keyword “Magnetic,” the bombs can be massively upgraded.
If a player still manages to destroy the bombs, they have to take a lot of damage to their hero.
These effects are combined with cards like Mistress of Mixtures, where death rattle effects are triggered twice.
The Special Thing about the Deck: Essentially, this deck tries to establish a strong army of minions that enhance each other. The pure death rattle of the bombs is just an additional effect intended to punish the opponent.

If you’ve seen the card “Mecha’thun”, you’ve probably wondered if a sensible deck can be built around it. After all, to activate the card, it’s necessary to destroy all the cards in your own deck, have an empty hand, and not have any other minions on the battlefield.
Fortunately, there is exactly one class that can bring this about relatively easily: the Warlock.
The deck by Schnez01 is based on Genn Greymane – meaning only cards with even costs are allowed, and the hero power only costs 1 mana. This allows you to draw an extra card every turn and the deck quickly becomes “empty”.
With the double Mechachron, the cost of Mecha’thun can be reduced to 8. Now, an important combo is needed to bring about an instant victory:
Mecha’thun + Bloodbloom + Cataclysm
Thanks to this combination, you can play Mecha’thun, for the remaining 2 mana cast Bloodbloom. Your next spell will then cost health points. Cataclysm subsequently destroys all minions on the battlefield for 4 health points and discards your remaining hand. This fulfills the conditions, and Mecha’thun destroys the enemy hero!
The new “Token” Druid
Currently, particularly successful with a win rate of 62% is the “Boomsday Day 1 Token Druid” by Fluxflashor. It uses only a few cards from the new expansion.
The deck primarily focuses on one of the Druid’s oldest strategies. The goal is to bring as many “tokens”, such as treants or other “summoned” creatures, onto the battlefield as possible. Then, the tokens are amplified with spells like “Savage Roar” and often sweep away the opponent in a single turn.
The deck is therefore relatively easy to play and should provide especially newcomers with a solid gaming alternative.
Which decks are you currently playing? Are you still experimenting or have you already found your perfect deck for this expansion?

The player Jon Creasy has recently hidden the cryptocurrency Bitcoin in the science fiction game No Man’s Sky. He wants to encourage other players to use the currency, as gamers and Bitcoin could benefit from each other.
The player Jon Creasy, along with his brother, has launched a special treasure hunt in No Man’s Sky. He has hidden key fragments for a Bitcoin stash on two of the approximately 18 trillion planets in the virtual universe. According to Creasy, the hunt for the currency aims to attract more players to use Bitcoin.
Treasure hunt among 18 trillion planets
Players are to search for Bitcoins: Jon Creasy has two passions: video games and cryptocurrencies. With an initiative in Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky, he and his brother want to bring these two hobbies together.
The Creasys have hidden the currency Bitcoin in the vastness of the virtual universe. They started with 0.004 BTC, which is approximately 30 US dollars. This amount has now grown to around 200 US dollars thanks to donations from other Bitcoin users.
The treasure hunt is meant to encourage gamers and crypto enthusiasts alike to come together in solidarity. According to Jon Creasy, it’s not hard to imagine a future where gaming becomes a global industry based on cryptocurrency. As a comparison, he mentions the novel “Ready Player One,” which was recently adapted into a film.
This is where space treasure hunters are to go hunting: The key to the Bitcoin wallet was shared and hidden in No Man’s Sky on two planets in the Endanko system. Players are to seek out the appropriate communication stations that contain the parts of the key, called the “seed,” and thus gain access to the treasure.
While there is currently only one treasure in No Man’s Sky that players can chase, the Creasys are considering more stashes. They are also thinking about expanding their Bitcoin treasure hunt to other games.
In Fortnite, there are new Rifts in the game world in Season 5. With the portals, you can jump back into the sky and flee quickly with the glider or launch surprise attacks. Additionally, the Rifts are part of the challenges from week 5 and 8 in season 5. Here you can see a map showing all 22 locations of the Rifts.
The new “Hop Rocks”: Rather, the new Rifts are a kind of teleporter that instantly beams you to the sky above your last location as you pass through. From there, you can quickly glide away or drop in on your enemies from behind. They essentially replace the popular Hop Rocks from Season 4. But be careful, you can fall to your death if you don’t deploy your glider manually in time.
To optimally use the Rifts in the game, you should know where they can appear. If you are specifically looking for the challenge from week 8 in Season 5, you can find a more detailed guide here.
The Locations of the Rifts (Rift Map) – Here are the portals in Fortnite
Where are the Rifts? Rifts regularly appear at certain locations. While there’s no guarantee they will appear at a specific spot, you have a good chance of finding a Rift at known Rift locations. As you can see on the map below, the Rifts appear particularly gathered in the desert area of Paradise Palms.
On the embedded map here, you can find all the Rift locations known so far. Have fun teleporting!
The Locations in the Video
Do you want to see the Rift locations in a video instead? No problem! We have embedded a YouTube video for you here. In it, you will also see what a Rift looks like, how it is used, and especially where they are located on the Season 5 map. Have fun!

The MMORPG classic Meridian 59 is making a comeback. The developers are planning a re-release of the old online game.
Meridian 59 is coming to Steam: The developers of the old MMORPG Meridian 59 have sent a sign of life via Twitter. According to the tweet, the online classic is set to be playable on Steam starting August 28.
Pioneer of MMORPGs: Meridian 59 is considered one of the first MMOs ever and the first MMORPG released in 3D graphics. It is therefore regarded as a pioneer for subsequent MMORPGs like World of Warcraft.
Meridian 59 was released in the USA in 1996 and in Germany in 1997. It was the first MMORPG fully available in German.
A long history: After its release by 3DO Company, Meridian 59 lasted until 2000 when the service had to be discontinued due to the operator’s insolvency. In 2002, MDO Entertainment took over the game and has continued to operate it since.
The old 3D graphics were updated in 2004 with the “Evolution” update. To this day, the MMORPG classic has a loyal fan base that still plans and organizes events.
In 2012, the source code of Meridian 59 was released as free software (Open Source) with some exceptions.

System requirements: In line with the upcoming release on Steam, the developers Archetype Interactive have re-released the current system requirements – which shouldn’t cause problems for anyone:
Whether the developers will revamp or reboot the game before its release on Steam is still unclear. So far, there are no plans known for new or improved content.
With the Forsaken expansion, Bungie has apparently finally found a way to make even the 10th Better Devils in Destiny 2 still interesting for Guardians – through Random Rolls.
Forsaken brings one of the most anticipated features for Destiny 2 – the Random Rolls. This is supposed to make the loot and the hunt for it finally more exciting. In the Combat Live Stream, Bungie has now provided an initial insight into how the Random Rolls will work in Destiny 2.
Random Rolls make duplicates in Destiny 2 truly attractive for the first time
Here’s how Random Rolls work: Random Roll means that with each drop of an item – in this case, a weapon – and with each engram, the perks will be randomly rolled. And that’s how the system in Forsaken works too. All perks of a weapon can be completely different at the next drop than they were the last time.
Full Random Rolls system: Some fans were concerned that only parts of the perks would be randomly rolled while some would remain fixed. Apparently, that is not the case. The developers confirmed upon explicit inquiry from Community Manager DeeJ that the entire perk set of weapons will be rolled anew each time.
This was also confirmed by the visual material. There, the hand cannon Better Devils was shown in three different versions. Both the perks and the scope options of the weapon differed from each other. It is therefore obviously a full Random Rolls system.
The 10th Better Devils can also soon be attractive: This means that with Forsaken, duplicates will finally become important. Because while the 100th drop of a Better Devils was always the same before, soon each weapon instance might present a special perk combination that could still be individually interesting for different situations. Additionally, legendary weapons will receive an additional perk with Forsaken, further increasing the roll diversity.
New perks: Furthermore, it seems that some perks from Destiny 1 are making a return. The popular perk Range Finder can be rolled onto hand cannons with Forsaken. However, Bungie has not yet revealed how large the complete perk pool will be and which perks will be added to the already known ones.
Mods round off the Random Rolls: Additionally, legendary weapons can be further customized with appropriate mods and through the masterwork system. Since the weapon mods and their attributes with Forsaken are almost comparable to additional perks, the possibilities of obtaining a truly individually optimized weapon increase again.
By the way: Exotic weapons will not be able to use mods and will have fixed perks.
Random Rolls on armor: Observant fans have apparently also discovered Random Rolls on some armor pieces. For example, helmets are said to have perks that influence aim assist, precision, or ADS time (the time until aiming down sights) of certain weapons. Other random perks apparently influence ammo capacity.
Phoenix Labs releases “The Coming Storm” today, the first expansion for Dauntless. In the free update, the relentless Behemoth Koshai rampages, while the new faction of the Ostians brings new story content, quests, and equipment.
The free-to-play MMO Dauntless receives its first free expansion today with “The Coming Storm”. Although Dauntless is still in open beta, the game world is slated to be regularly expanded with new content.
This time, players will face the nasty Behemoth Koshai and the new faction of the Ostians.
New Content for Dauntless
This is what the expansion is about: In “The Coming Storm”, an Ostian battleship is attacked and must seek refuge in Ramsgate. Soon after, a new Behemoth named Koshai appears and announces the arrival of a storm.
Koshai, who holds the title Ruler of Thorns, is a cruel beast with powerful thorns and vines that even the strongest armor cannot withstand. Koshai is said to be among the most frightening Behemoths that the Slayers have encountered so far.
Weekly Content for the MMO: Dauntless is set to be expanded weekly with new content through “The Coming Storm”. According to the studio Phoenix Labs, this approach aims to bring closer to the vision of a living, breathing, ever-evolving game.
Players, now numbering two million Slayers, will regularly be offered extensive events, quests, and challenges that affect the game world.
Koshai Reshapes the Ecosystem of the Isles
Under Koshai’s influence, the ecosystem of the Shattered Isles is being permanently altered. Other monsters evolve and change their behavior and forms in deadly ways. As a result, even classic encounters require new tactics and the clever use of all abilities.
New Equipment is Required: To face the new challenges, new equipment for the Slayers will be added to Dauntless. For example, there will be new grenades that players can craft themselves. Additionally, new exotic equipment will be included, as well as the ranged weapon Ostian Repeater at the end of the update period. The weapon is modular and allows Slayers to customize it extensively to fit their play style.

In an exclusive interview with Mein-MMO, the guild and raid leader of the best German raid guild Aversion, Nexxzz talks about World of Warcraft, progress raids, and guild cohesion.
The best in Germany, top 10 in the world: The Horde guild Aversion from the Onyxia server was the first German guild to defeat the final boss of Legion, Argus in Antorus, the Burning Throne. With their first kill, Aversion even made it to 9th place on the world ranking list.
Their success comes with a lot of hard work: Every evening from Monday to Sunday, raiding happens from 19:00 to 23:30 – until all bosses are down (the so-called “progress” part). Once the raid is defeated, the guild takes it a bit slower, usually one evening with about four hours (“farm” part).
Argus, the final boss of Antorus. Aversion was the first to defeat him in Germany.
In progress, passionate guilds like Aversion focus on every second they can be faster than anyone else for a first kill on a boss. A “first kill” – especially the “world first kills” – brings a significant boost in prestige.
Once it comes to farming, players’ characters or twinks are equipped with missing gear to achieve the best possible results. Or it’s about distributing particularly rare mounts, like the Bound Ur’zul from Argus, to everyone.
We take a look behind a guild that spends a significant part of its free time raiding and give you an insight into their guild life, their successes, and the surrounding events.
This is how the best WoW guild in Germany raids
Mein-MMO: Aversion is the best raid guild in Germany and even ranks 9th in the world – with a significant lead over the currently next German guild at 32nd. Surely, this requires a lot of work. How do you prepare to be the first as quickly as possible?
Nexxzz: A lot of effort is involved. Ultimately, every player has to play three characters, so we have various options and can cover all eventualities. Furthermore, the leading personnel organize many things to make it as structured and efficient as possible.
Some examples include: Split runs (Note from the editorial team: raids with twinks and mains to obtain optimal loot for main chars), boss tactics, requirements for twinks, roster planning, recruitment, preparing weak auras (Note from the editorial team: weak auras belong to an addon that provides more overview), guild bank containing all materials or raid lead.
This is very hard to answer in general, as there are many aspects that create the overall picture.
Aversion after their first kill on Argus.
Mein-MMO: The race for the world first kill on the last boss in new content is one of the few PvE events that even outsiders often watch with interest. What does it feel like to be part of it instead of just watching? Do you believe you have a good chance to snatch the world first with BfA?
Nexxzz: It is incredibly fun to progress raid, and that’s what keeps us together as a group! No, we don’t have a chance for the world first kill since we raid “only” 4.5 hours a day while Method invests almost 12 hours per day.
This cannot be caught up with skill and moreover, the players from Method are still a notch better than us.
Even top-notch players like Aversion respect Method.
Mein-MMO: In mythic raid content, you are certainly under a lot of pressure most of the time. How does a guild leader maintain concentration? What rules are in place? Has it ever happened that someone had to be swapped out right before a first kill during a raid?
Nexxzz: It is extremely important to maintain a positive atmosphere, as people simply perform better when they enjoy what they are doing. Breaks can be very important when playing a single boss for four hours and small mistakes start to slip in.
We are not particularly strict because we have a very adult group that knows exactly what we expect from them. Often, for bosses that are very difficult, people must be put on the “bench” because their class or specialization is not helpful for that boss.
And of course, it can happen that players are swapped out before kills if they are not performing, but we also have 26 people in the roster.
Of course, no one likes to be swapped out – but sometimes it’s necessary.
Aversion: Horde by Conviction and for Advantages
Mein-MMO: Aversion is a Horde guild. Did you choose this faction for a specific reason? Are you wholeheartedly with the Horde?
Nexxzz: We landed with the Horde because the racial bonuses have been significantly better for a long time than those of the Alliance. And of course, it’s nice to be a member of the Horde.
For the Horde!
Mein-MMO: Azeroth is a world of conflicts – and the Horde is in conflict with the Alliance. Does your guild also actively engage in PvP? Do you even have some members who are more interested in PvP than in raiding?
Nexxzz: As a guild, we do very little PvP, but we have a former raider who is now the best PvP balance druid in the world, Corkiy. He participates in all tournaments and is an exceptional talent in the arena. However, our raid team focuses entirely on raiding; otherwise, they would be in the wrong place with us.
Mein-MMO: What was your best moment in the fight against the Alliance?
Nexxzz: My best moment in the fight against the Alliance was the old city raids over eight years ago.
Stormwind, a popular raid target for the Horde.
Achieving something together brings cohesion
Mein-MMO: A little look back at your past: Aversion arose from the guild Impact, which disbanded in 2017. How long have the core players known each other? How did you originally come together?
Nexxzz: Aversion is Impact without the guild leader Tkaine. We separated from him and he did not want us to continue the guild, thus we had to found Aversion. The core has known each other for over three years, and some of them for over eight years.
Mein-MMO: In large guilds with a solid core of players, there are sometimes players who may feel excluded. How do you ensure cohesion in the guild?
Nexxzz: We see raiding as a team sport. It is extremely important for us to integrate people quickly to strengthen their trust in themselves and the guild for upcoming progress so that they can deliver their best performance.
This happens through the regular raids, our Discord, which we use as a forum, and the Teamspeak server, where players can talk to each other and thus participate in activities together.
The veterans also gladly help new players.
Mein-MMO: Many players leave WoW after some time. What keeps you, or you specifically, in Azeroth?
Nexxzz: We really enjoy progress raiding, and we love playing in this community together. Like many, the community is very important to me, and Aversion has become my team, which makes me feel very comfortable. As long as I have the time, I want to spend it with the guys.
Mein-MMO: Do you have any tips for less progress-oriented players to be more successful faster?
Nexxzz: Enjoying the game, good organization, and a friendly atmosphere are extremely important. Above all, the leading individuals should always keep the team spirit in mind, as it is a team of 20 people and not a one-man show.
Raiding is a team sport.
Thank you very much for the interview and your time!
Aversion will also actively participate in the raiding scene in Battle for Azeroth. The first raid of the new expansion will be Uldir. You can find all data for the opening of the individual wings of Uldir in our post.
According to the developers, Dual Universe is remarkably successful. This positive development is providing the studio Novaquark with even more financial foundation. The reason for this is the good feedback from players.
Investors increase capital: The investors Andurance Venture and Azom Partners, who are currently supporting Novaquark and Dual Universe, have invested another $3.5 million in the upcoming game.
With the new funds, previous investments, and crowdfunding, Dual Universe now has $11.5 million available for development.
More money for development – thanks to the players
The reason for the renewed investment is that according to CEO Jean-Christophe Baillie, Dual Universe is developing very well. He especially thanks the players who helped in the pre-alpha of the game.
With the support of interested players, the amount has increased by nearly another $2 million over the years. The interest in Dual Universe has now led the investors to inject even more money into the game.
This is what Dual Universe is about: Dual Universe is currently being developed by 40 employees of Novaquark in Paris. The sci-fi MMO is supposed to become a sort of Space-Minecraft with all possible freedoms.
The technology behind Dual Universe is the “Continuous Single-Shard Cluster” (CSSC), which manages a single universe with potentially millions of players. There are supposed to be no loading screens.
Through a voxel engine, similar to Minecraft, there is terraforming and crafting. Players should be able to build whatever they want – cities, spaceships, or orbital stations.
An alpha for all supporters is already planned for late 2018. A beta will come in early 2020. The planned release of Dual Universe is the second half of 2020.
In a new video, the CEO of Novaquark, the company behind Dual Universe, talks about the future of the game. He also provides a roadmap for the upcoming years. It addresses the important questions: When does the Alpha of Dual Universe start, when does the Beta begin, and when is the release?
Alpha 1 still in 2018, Release 2020: Dual Universe has published a new roadmap that outlines the next steps leading up to the planned release in 2020. According to this, Alpha 1 is scheduled for November 2018, for which all Kickstarter supporters will be invited.

The Pre-Alpha of Dual Universe has already been successful. The upcoming Alpha 1 was originally supposed to be open only to supporters who invested at least 120€ in Dual Universe. According to CEO Jean-Christophe Baillie, it will now be open to all supporters. The roadmap reveals more points on the way to the goal.
In the first Alpha, the game will still be in an unfinished state. Dual Universe has therefore decided to continue maintaining the NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement). Therefore, no content may be streamed or shown. This is to avoid disturbing expectations for the game. Testing will include:
World Building: You can terraform the world and create your own secret base.
Designs: Buildings and vehicles you have built with voxels can be saved as templates.
Explore and collect: Explore the world and gather valuable minerals that you can trade for components for your projects.
Crafting: Create interactive components that you need for bases and ships.
Alpha 2 – Dual Evolution, Release 1st Half 2019
The second part of the Alpha is currently also accessible to supporters. The NDA continues to apply. Start is in the first half of 2019, there is no exact date yet.
Production and Industry: Become an industrial mogul by building factories for mass production of vehicles. Use them for yourself, your friends, or sell them on the market.
Markets: In the second Alpha of Dual Universe, you can open your own markets and trading centers to build entire trading empires.
Character Progression: With a comprehensive skill system, you can develop your character according to your preferences.
The third Alpha is the last Alpha test for Dual Universe, after which it will enter Beta. The NDA likely still applies here as well, and an exact start date is not known yet.
PvP: Arm yourselves to compete with other players.
Ship Battles: Your ships can fight and defend themselves in battle.
Socializing: Join together in groups with your friends for easier collaboration.
Beta – Empires Expand, Release 1st Half 2020
According to CEO Jean-Christophe Baillie, the NDA applies to the Alpha – whether you will be allowed to show images and streams during the Beta is still uncertain, but it is possible. Who may participate is unfortunately not yet known, but certainly all supporters and possibly newly invited players.
Player Nations: You can band together into entire nations under a banner – each fulfills its role.
Territorial Wars: Claim lands for yourselves and defend them against invaders.
Mission System: You can create tasks for other players to help you build your empire.
Galaxy: Discover and explore new star systems.
Release – Awakening, 2nd Half 2020
The official release of Dual Universe is currently scheduled for mid-to-late 2020. Until then, development will continue, and even at the release, the developers will still take care of the game:
Polishing: The game world will be continuously improved, polished, and balanced.
Character Customizations: Change your appearance to match your identity.
Pets: Make friends with new companions that accompany you on your adventures.
Are you saving your Pokémon encounters from quest rewards? There will soon be a limit in Pokémon GO.
Only stack 100 rewards: In Pokémon GO, you can initially save the rewards for quests before redeeming them. However, due to an update in August, it can only be stacked up to a number of 100. This was announced by Niantic.
Stacking quest rewards for events
Deferring encounters: If you are rewarded with a Pokémon encounter for completing a quest, you can either participate directly and catch the Pokémon or defer the encounter by fleeing. The encounter then goes onto a stack that could previously grow indefinitely. The task still counts as completed and you have room for new research. You can retrieve the deferred tasks from the stack later.
Stacks limited to 100: As the Pokémon GO team explains on Twitter, there will be a limit starting from August 20, 2018. The number of stored rewards will be limited to 100 from that day onwards.

Why save: Many trainers heard for the first time with this announcement that they can save the rewards from research. Players save these rewards to combine them with lucky eggs or events.
By saving, trainers could stack encounters with several hundred Pokémon. When activating a lucky egg or a star piece, they could catch those hundreds of Pokémon conveniently one after another, earning a lot of experience points or stardust.
Disappointment among players: Many trainers had already made big plans for the many stored monster encounters. They were looking forward to the stardust event, expected as a reward for the Safari Zone in Yokosuka. In combination with the many hundred stored Pokémon encounters, a lot of stardust could have been gathered. However, the event starts only on August 29 – so after the storage limit. Therefore, trainers are now disappointed due to the limit.
Much stardust on Community Day: The upcoming Community Day featuring Eevee gives you triple the amount for catching Pokémon. Here, the storage strategy can also be well utilized to gain a lot of stardust.
Is Warchief Sylvanas really insane? The short story “A Good War” reveals how the leader of the Horde really thinks in WoW.
Since Sylvanas ignited Teldrassil and wiped out a large part of the Night Elves in World of Warcraft, there has been criticism of her actions.
Fans are asking: Is the Banshee Queen just crazy now? Does she only react to feelings? Is she simply Garrosh 2.0?
Blizzard has now published two short stories that are part of the Collector’s Edition of Battle for Azeroth. These shed new light on Sylvanas’ plans – and give corresponding context.
The original plan: Darnassus as hostages
Life of the Night Elves as leverage. Sylvanas’ great goal is the conquest and destruction of Stormwind. However, she knows that Stormwind cannot be attacked head-on – the city is fortified and more than the harbor would not be conquerable. Orgrimmar, on the other hand, would be easier for the Alliance to besiege.
Even Saurfang agrees with these two points. To settle the war in the long term, Sylvanas chooses a different plan: Kalimdor must be completely conquered.
Political problems within the Alliance. Darnassus and Teldrassil as hostages would have caused strife within the Alliance. The Gilneans under Greymane are still waiting for the Alliance to retake Gilneas. However, the Night Elves would have insisted on retaking Teldrassil – that would have led to political problems and possibly weakened the unity of the Alliance.
Anduin would be torn between the wishes of his allies, and no matter which wish he fulfills, he would have spurned one side. The armies of the nations would have retreated to their own countries to protect their homes.
Incorporation of the Alliance races. Due to the disputes within the Alliance, the individual nations would have been weakened and individually weaker than the Horde. Gradually, the Horde would have made peace with the individual races (under threat or logical cooperation) and integrated them into the Horde – until there was no more Alliance. This would have made Stormwind vulnerable.
Protection through hostages. At the same time, Sylvanas would have ensured that there would be no way for the Alliance to retaliate with Darnassus as hostages. She knows that the Alliance would attack Silvermoon or Undercity in revenge – but they could not do it if the Horde threatens to kill all the inhabitants of Darnassus.
That’s the original plan. Varok Saurfang fully agrees with this original plan – he even considers it brilliant.
Saurfang ruined the plan and he knows it
The major weakness in Sylvanas’ plan was Saurfang. Because Sylvanas fundamentally wanted to achieve one thing: To inflict a wound on the Alliance from which they would not recover so quickly. That would have been the death of Malfurion, a war hero who has existed for over 10,000 years and masters the forces of nature like no other.
Even though Malfurion is on the brink of death, Saurfang allows him to live because he considers the death of the Night Elf to be dishonorable.
Night Elves believe in a miracle. With Malfurion as a survivor, the Night Elves would have gained new courage. They would have seen it as a miracle that Malfurion survived despite the ambush of the Horde. Elune and fate would have been on the side of the Night Elves, which would have given them new courage.
Ultimately, Sylvanas realizes that she cannot weaken the Alliance as planned because Malfurion survived.
To increase her chances of victory for the Horde, she chooses a different path: She inflicts a wound that no one can heal and destroys Teldrassil. Because an angry Alliance might make a mistake.
Cortyn says: I can only recommend reading the nearly 100 pages of “A Good War,” as they shed a much more detailed light on the War of the Thorns and its course. The exact strategy between the individual attacks of the Horde and Alliance becomes clear, and it results in a much better picture of what Sylvanas and Saurfang are doing. It’s worth a look not just for Horde players.

We had an interview with the famous Twitch streamer zwetschkE and wanted to ask the German pro streamer: What has caused one of the once most famous German faces of Destiny to switch to Fortnite? What is he currently up to and how does he look back on Destiny, Fortnite, and his previous journey?
For Destiny veterans, the name zwetschkE should be familiar. The streamer became particularly famous for his PvP skills in the Trials of Osiris and quickly became a mainstay in the German Destiny community. Every Friday, you would see Zwetschke in the Trials of Osiris.
However, many Fortnite players are likely to know the name as well. Because currently, zwetschkE is making waves in the Fortnite scene. At the Fortnite Summer Skirmish 500,000 $ tournament, he managed to pocket a whopping 18,000 $ in prize money with his duo partner. That’s about 15,500€.
Community Focus: zwetschkE in Interview with Mein MMO
Hi, zwetschkE. First, a brief introduction would be cool. Who are you? What have you done so far?
Hello, I’m Matze. I’m 30 years old and known in the gaming world by the name “zwetschkE”. Gaming has been a great passion for me since I was 13.
I started back then with Soldier of Fortune 2. There, I was nationally in the ESL as well as internationally on Clanbase, among others, very successful with the German national team.
Back then, gaming eventually took too much time, and I took a break to focus on other things.
In 2009, I got a PS3 and played all kinds of shooters, mostly COD, until I discovered Destiny for myself.
It Sparked with Trials of Osiris
How did you come to Destiny, especially to PvP?
I was made aware of Destiny by friends and quickly fell in love with the game. At first, I didn’t enjoy the PvP mode at all. Therefore, I spent most of my time in PvE.
Only with the release of Trials of Osiris and the new 3v3 concept did the PvP mode become interesting to me.
How has Destiny changed, and why did you move away from it?
Relatively easy to explain: In Destiny 1, I enjoyed the gameplay with the sniper and the Last Word the most. The Hunter has always been my favorite! Over time, the Hunter became weaker, sniping became less viable, and the Last Word was nerfed.
What is left for me in Destiny 2? Sniping was almost impossible, the Last Word was completely removed, and the Hunter also became weaker. Additionally, the TTK was raised way too high.
I can understand that one wants to try changes in a game. What I cannot understand is not reacting quickly to the extremely negative feedback from the community. It takes almost a whole year for them to hopefully move the game back in the right direction with the Forsaken DLC.
And how do you view the upcoming new Forsaken expansion?
I can only tell you what I think of the upcoming Forsaken expansion once I’ve played it. The changes I’ve heard about sound good, but unfortunately, in my opinion, they come way too late.
Why Should Someone Watch Me Play?
How did you come to Twitch?
Honestly? I didn’t know Twitch at the time when some friends suggested I should start streaming. Initially, I wondered why anyone would want to watch me play.
Ultimately, I decided to just turn on the stream to help people reach the Lighthouse in Destiny.
The whole thing quickly took unexpected proportions.
The Step to Full-Time Streamer
How much do you focus on success and think about a career?
After the stream developed unexpectedly large and time-consuming, I eventually faced the decision to either reduce streaming significantly or to do it full-time.
At that time, I had an incredibly strong community behind me that I didn’t want to disappoint. Additionally, I really enjoyed streaming. Therefore, the decision was easy, which I haven’t regretted to this day. I am infinitely grateful to all the many people who supported and continue to support me on this journey!
Of course, success is important when you decide to take this step and your livelihood depends on it. Nevertheless, what matters more to me is that I remain myself and approach things with enjoyment.
Is it also important to follow trends when a game (like Destiny 2) isn’t performing well?
Even though it is our job, I believe no streamer should play a game that doesn’t bring them joy just to attract more viewers.
The Transition to Fortnite
Since when have you been playing Fortnite?
I have been playing Fortnite since the beginning/middle of Season 2. At first, I was very skeptical. After a few matches, I started adjusting my key bindings and gradually getting into the building system. At that time, I realized more and more how much fun I have with the game, and since then I play Fortnite 99% of the time!
Is your community going along with this change, or do you have to rebuild it?
From what I have sensed, my community has not taken the transition very well. A large part has no interest in Fortnite. Therefore, I am very grateful to the people who still stand by me and also appreciate many new people who are joining us through Fortnite.
How did you meet your Fortnite duo partner?
One of my first experiences with Carnifexed was in one of the solo tournaments by Trymacs when he followed me for minutes to ultimately snipe me in the back.
Contact ultimately developed through common viewers who noticed that we could possibly harmonize well. Apparently, they were right.
How did your first tournament together go?
When the German duo qualification for the “War Legend’s PAN-European Cup” took place, we played our first tournament together, qualified among the top 6 German duo teams for the cup, and ended with the best ranking as the top German team in the finals. So it went quite well for our first tournament together.
18,000$ Prize Money in Duo
How did you land in the “Fortnite Summer Skirmish 500,000 $ Tournament (Week 3)” and how did it go for both of you?
When I found out from Carnifexed that he received an invitation for the event and registered me as his duo partner, I was of course completely shocked and grateful for this chance and his trust.
In the end, we reached 9th place and won 18,000 $ in prize money, which we are absolutely happy about! But it must also be mentioned that we learned a lot and will work on it. We are firmly convinced that we still have a lot of potential for improvement and will give our best!
Will we see you again soon in the “Summer Skirmish”?
I hope so! This Saturday we both got to play in the Solo Summer Skirmish, and we hope to get another chance in the next duo skirmish!
As a closing remark: What tips do you have for Fortnite players?
Practice, practice, practice! You can best learn to build in the current “Creative” mode.
Familiarize yourself with key bindings and try to find the best settings for yourself.
Don’t just play defensively for wins. If you want to learn the game, seek out fights and try to learn from your mistakes.
Additionally, in my opinion, you can learn a lot on Twitch. Observe good players and try to understand their decisions. If something is unclear, just use the live chat! Many streamers who can still follow the chat will gladly help you!
For the Diablo-like MMORPG MU Legend, things have not gone well during the Open Beta so far. Now the successor to MU Origin is celebrating its release. The game is set to take off via Steam. The expansion “Noria” helps with this.
Soft launch: Until now, MU Legend was in an open beta, a so-called soft launch. There has been no wipe of progress since the beta started, and none is planned.
Since early November 2017, players could hack through masses of enemies with one of 5 available classes. However, the “Diablo MMO” did not become particularly large.
Again and again, criticism arises that MU Legend has turned too much on the grind knob and the cash shop after a hopeful phase before the start of the open beta.
Second attempt on Steam – Now officially released
Bigger, further, better. With the release on Steam, Webzen is trying to win new players for MU Legend. The Steam release marks the end of the open beta and simultaneously the launch of the game. Developer Webzen celebrates this with the first official expansion for the game.
The Noria expansion adds the eponymous continent to MU Legend, where players can unleash their skills. New quests, dungeons, and exceptional rewards await the players here.
Etherdrain is your base city in the new continent.
What the update brings for MU Legend’s release
Additionally, the update includes numerous other new contents:
In the airship defense, you must face waves of enemies while defending the Odyssey reactor in the middle of the ship. If you survive all 20 waves, you will receive additional rewards.
The revised leveling is intended to be easier for new players and more convenient for existing players.
The companion system has been enhanced with a new companion mechanic. Companions in MU Legend are cute pets that follow you everywhere and give you a passive bonus to your stats.
The new amulet system allows players to continue improving beyond the maximum level. Once you have reached the maximum level with a talisman, you can start a “breakthrough”. This will increase your stats even beyond the maximum level.
In the Blood Castle, you must defeat waves of enemies within a certain time. From level 45, you can progress further into the Blood Castle dungeon. There, you must eliminate all enemies within 10 minutes. The faster you are, the better the reward.
The continent of Noria.
Being involved is worth it: Returning players receive a free character boost to level 70 so they can start with the new content right away. But new players will also be rewarded for playing with wings, jewels, costumes, and other items.
To do this, all you have to do is complete one of the missions on the official event website in the game and claim them on the website for yourself.
Initial feedback is rather balanced
An uncut diamond. On Steam, some players have already played MU Legend and left feedback. At the current time (08.08.2018), 50% of the Steam reviews are positive. Thus, MU Legend appeals to about half of all players who have tried it.
The path to the maximum level is liked by almost all players. The grind for better equipment is motivating, and the great gameplay with beautiful animations is fun.
Players have a lot of freedom in character customization. They can focus on high attack speed, significantly reduce ability cooldowns, or increase their crit chance.
The performance of the game is poor for a few players.
Anyone looking to advance in the endgame must prepare for a long grind or spend money.
Interested players can download the F2P game via Steam.

These attacks will be executed in a random order, and it is also a coincidence which player in the group he targets.
Second Phase of the Rathalos Fight in Final Fantasy XIV
At about 80% HP, Rathalos will roar again and deal heavy AOE damage to the group. Afterwards, new monsters will enter the arena. These are sheep, goats, and a Coeurl, which you can otherwise encounter in the first boss fight of the dungeon “Bardam’s Test”.
They will all primarily focus on Rathalos, but their AOEs are very annoying and disruptive. Unlike Rathalos, they have normal aggro behavior and can be tanked. Therefore, it is advisable to take care of them as quickly as possible.
Steppe Sheep: Place a small AOE around themselves, putting asleep any players standing in it.
Steppe Yamaa: Attack Rathalos with unannounced frontal AOEs.
Steppe Coeurl: Performs a massive frontal AOE that causes paralysis. It should be tanked by the tank with the AOE towards the wall.
All attacks from Rathalos also deal damage to the animals. If a player is, for example, targeted by a marked fireball, it is advisable that he stands next to the sheep and goats to ensure they are also hit.
While the animals are on the battlefield, Rathalos will continue to execute the above-mentioned attacks normally, so always keep an eye on what he is currently doing.
DPS Check
At about 70% HP, and after all the animals have been taken down, the DPS check phase of the fight begins. As in the normal mode, a Garula will appear and knock Rathalos over. After that, a DPS should use the special command and jump on his back.
The remaining group must now defeat the Garula as quickly as possible so that they can hide behind its corpse from Rathalos’s fire.
There are two important differences from the normal mode:
Garula deals massive damage to the tank and should be tanked against the wall because it uses an extremely strong frontal AOE. Therefore, the healer should focus on keeping the group alive.
The player climbing onto Rathalos’s back will receive a heavy DoT. He will die quickly if the healer does not take care of him.
The group has about 25 seconds to defeat Garula before Rathalos unleashes his ultimate attack. Otherwise, Garula will run away and the group will wipe.
Third Phase of the Rathalos Fight in Final Fantasy XIV
Rathalos will now fly permanently: This also changes his attack behavior and adds a new mechanic to the fight. While he is in the air, the beast will take significantly reduced damage. However, he now gets a new status bar indicating when the group has inflicted enough damage to bring Rathalos down.
It is not worth dealing with Rathalos using strong abilities while he is still in the air. Rather wait until the bar is full and Rathalos falls down.
Once he is on the ground, he will take increased damage. So keep an eye on the bar and save your buff skills for the moment Rathalos comes down.
From this phase onward, all abilities that regenerate HP will also have no effect. Healers should focus on damage and removing negative status effects such as Burning Wound and Poison.
After Rathalos returns to the battle arena, the group should immediately spread out again to avoid his first attack.
As Rathalos is now permanently in the air, his set of attacks has also changed:
Charge: The attack changes in that Rathalos now attacks with his claws from the air. He will again target a random player, roar, and fly toward him. His attack now inflicts not only extremely high damage but also poison, which must be removed as quickly as possible.
Rathalos will execute this attack multiple times in succession. To dodge, players must run out of his way.
Triple Fireball: This is the second mechanic that is actually displayed. A random player in the group will receive an AOE marker, followed by three fireballs from Rathalos. They work as follows:
Players must gather next to the marker to share the damage.
Each fireball leaves an AOE puddle on the ground that will remain for a very long time. Therefore, players must keep moving after each fireball. Place your puddles such that they do not obstruct your movement on the field.
With each fireball, affected players receive a stack of “Burning Wound” DoT. It does not hurt too much, but it should be removed with Medica or a similar ability by at least 3-4 stacks.
A tank can and should take their fireball stack alone. This reduces the number of players who later need Medica from the healer.
Fegende Flames: Similar to the first phase, Rathalos will turn towards the player and fire will appear in his mouth, which he will then spit out. It causes heavy damage and gives the player a Burning Wound stack.
Once the group has managed to fill the “Come Down” bar, Rathalos will crash.
On the first crash, the group will have the option to attack his tail, which they should do. If the HP of the tail can be brought to 0 before Rathalos recovers, he will suffer massive damage.
If you have a mage or ranged fighter in the group, they can use their Limit burst at this moment to hit both the tail and Rathalos for high damage.
Afterwards, Rathalos will rotate through the above-listed abilities until the end of the fight. No further surprises will come.
You will likely manage to fill his bar two to three more times and bring him to the ground. If his tail is already severed by then, you can just attack him directly. So keep your eyes open and you will get through the fight well.
Good luck farming!
The summer event Fire Moon Dance is coming to Final Fantasy XIV soon:
Rathalos from Monster Hunter: World terrorizes the world of Final Fantasy XIV. We have created a guide for you to the Extreme version of the fight, so you can snag the cool loot from Rathalos (Heavy).
The fight against Rathalos in FFXIV is very different from other trials. It has special mechanics taken from MHW to keep Rathalos as authentic as possible.
Guide: King of the Skies
Where can I find the extreme version? After defeating the normal version of Rathalos in a group of 8 players, you can take on the challenge in the extreme version:
Quest Name: The King of the Skies Returns
Location: Kugane (X: 9.7 / Y: 8.9)
NPC: Monster Hunter
Requirements: Completion of the quest “King of the Skies”, item level 350+
What are the features of the EX version? The extreme trial is similar to the normal version in many mechanics; however, there are two important differences:
A maximum of 4 players are allowed to participate. The group composition can consist of any jobs.
The players in the group can go down a maximum of 3 times: A total of 3 KOs is allowed during the entire fight, not 3 times per player.
Players therefore have much more individual responsibility than in the normal version and must always know what Rathalos is doing and who he is currently targeting.
As in the normal version, there are no ground indicators when Rathalos executes his attacks, and players must pay attention to how the beast moves and who he looks at to dodge in time.
Strategy for Rathalos EX in Final Fantasy XIV
Before the Fight
Rathalos appears to be a chaotic fight at first glance. However, you can quickly get used to it. Generally, there are some rules of thumb to follow to deal with the fight effectively:
Medica is a must for healers: Without this ability, the fight is very hard. Ideally, you should bring a Scholar with Selene’s “Fairy Wind” ability. “Paean of the Guardian” from the Bard or “Erasure” from the mages is helpful in later phases.
Healers should never revive: Players can return and continue participating in the fight. Normal rising does not incur disadvantages like weakness, and you regain full HP and MP immediately.
Save the Mega-Potions for the last phase: As in the normal version, the healers can use their magic in the first phase, and they should do so. The potions should be saved for the phase in which healing magic is blocked.
Try to spread out during the fight in the arena: Even though Rathalos always targets one player, all of his attacks are AOEs. If you have aggro and are near group members, you risk hitting them as well.
Don’t get one-shot: If your HP in the group is below approximately 40,000, you should equip Constitution Materia until you exceed 40,000. Most of Rathalos’s attacks deal such high damage that they would instantly kill any player with HP below 40,000 without shields. High HP gives you a chance to survive.
All attacks can stun: If you get hit by several attacks in succession and survive, your character will be briefly stunned.
Rule of Thumb: If Rathalos turns towards you, run to the side!
The fight does not have super complicated mechanics, as one might know from other EX trials. In general, you should always keep an eye on Rathalos and be careful of which movements he performs to successfully dodge his attacks.
First Phase of the Rathalos Fight in Final Fantasy XIV
Right at the beginning, Rathalos will roar. It is an AOE. He reduces the group’s HP by about 40%. Healers should, therefore, ideally set up shields beforehand to absorb the damage. Rathalos will use this attack multiple times throughout the fight.
Rathalos will also use his attacks from the normal mode in this fight, but they now hurt much more.
Tail Swipe: This is a 180° attack that hits all players near Rathalos. The attack causes high damage and can stun players. It is usually executed two to three times.
Shortly before executing the attack, Rathalos will bend his head, roar and swing his tail to the side. He always looks in the direction from which the tail swipe will come. When he does this, melee fighters should position themselves in front of him, at his knees, to avoid the attack while still being able to attack.
Maul: Rathalos will perform an attack where he spits fire in front of him and strikes behind him with his tail. You can recognize this attack when Rathalos lifts his tail shortly before and small flames come out of his mouth. To dodge, you should get away from him as quickly as possible.
Charge: Rathalos will target a player to charge at, causing massive damage. Anyone in his path will also take damage.
This attack is preceded by the beast turning towards the player, leaning forward, and loudly roaring. Players need to run to the side immediately to dodge the attack.
Flame Recoil: It is one of Rathalos’s more difficult attacks. It involves a fireball that deals significant damage, can stun players, and is hard to recognize.
When Rathalos is about to cast this attack, he will turn towards the targeted player, raise his wings slightly, and hold still for a few moments.
Fire Breath: This fireball mechanic is one of the few that is actually displayed as AOE on the ground in this fight. It targets a player, who will receive a marker. This player will then be hit by a fireball and receive a stack of the DoT “Burning Wound”.
The attack itself causes about 20,000 HP damage, and the burning wound stacks will become stronger the more a character is hit by the fireball. Therefore, it should ideally be removed with Medica or a similar ability.

In the lead-up to the Forsaken expansion for Destiny 2, Bungie went over the changes to weapon mods and the masterwork system for legendary weapons in its combat live stream on Twitch. We summarize the details for you.
Forsaken will introduce numerous changes to Destiny 2 – including weapon mods and the legendary masterwork weapons. In the latest stream, the developers revealed several new details about this.
This is how the mods change with Forsaken
Regarding the already known changes to the mod system, there are now new details on how the mods will change with the Forsaken expansion. Here is an overview of the most important new facts:
Weapon Mods
Weapon mods will in the future be obtained from weapons that drop with mods. Disassembling the weapon will move the mod to your inventory, where it can then be reused.
Mods will no longer provide +5 Power and will no longer determine the elemental damage of a weapon. The element of a legendary weapon will be set to the equipped element at the release of Forsaken.
The nine mods shown in the stream are not all that Year 2 has to offer. There will be additional mods (such as bonus damage against specific enemy races).
All legendary weapons now have a mod slot.
Exotic weapons will not be able to use mods.
These weapon mods are currently known:
Backup Mag: Increases magazine size.
Freehand Grip: Increases precision and weapon readiness speed when shooting from the hip.
Icarus Grip: Increases precision in the air.
Targeting Adjuster: Improves target acquisition.
Radar Tuner: The radar is immediately visible again when leaving the aiming view.
Minor Spec: Grants bonus damage against smaller enemies (presumably Red Bars).
Major Spec: Grants bonus damage against powerful enemies (presumably Yellow Bars).
Boss Spec: Grants bonus damage against bosses and vehicles.
Counterbalance Stock: Reduces recoil.
Armor Mods
Armor mods will be cross-class starting from Forsaken.
Mod stacking is not class-specific – each class can equip up to five grenade mods, for example.
Super cooldown mods are back.
This is how the masterwork system for legendary weapons changes
There will also be significant changes on the way to a legendary masterwork weapon:
There will be ten masterwork levels. This allows for up to +10% on a stat, with hand cannons also allowing for range. At level 10, you receive the complete masterwork.
Upgrades will cost masterwork cores, glimmer, and legendary shards. To reach level 10, you need a total of 10,000 glimmer, 27 legendary shards, and 17 masterwork cores.
At level 7, you receive a kill counter, where you can freely switch between PvP and PvE at any time.
For more details about numerous changes, you can read in our stream article.
What do you think of the changes that have been announced so far? Are we finally heading in the right direction, or are the changes not far enough for you?
