For a few days now, the Swap Deals event has been running in FIFA 19 Ultimate Team. How do you get the best rewards and players like Paco Alcacer? A guide.
What Swap Deals are: The FUT Swap Deals started on October 6 and are expected to last the whole month.
So you have all of October to secure the FUT Swap Players. In the following months, there will also be Swap Deals events repeatedly. You can find more information in our overview:
This is the goal: You want to earn so-called “swap items” in FIFA 19. You can then exchange these for “swap players.” The first step is about how to get “swap items” in FIFA 19.
Step 1: Earn swap items in FIFA 19
To earn items with which you can exchange for rewards like one of the four monthly players or various packs, there are several ways.
What to note: All opportunities are only available for a limited time. Daily and weekly objectives as well as certain Swap Deals SBCs may rotate and not be available on certain days. This means: Keep your eyes open and react quickly.
In the FUT Center, the game usually shows you which opportunities for swap deals items are currently available.
This means: If a daily goal with swap deals reward is currently active, you will probably not find a swap deals SBC at that time.
Option 1: Defeat the presented Squad Battles Team
Each week, there is a featured team in Squad Battles made up of real stars. These teams are packed with strong players and can be quite difficult to beat at high difficulty levels. So think about what difficulty level you can handle. Also, check whether you are currently earning a swap item for the presented Squad Battles team, or if other objectives are active.
Option 2: Achieve high Squad Battles ranks
Another way to earn swap deals items is through Squad Battles by finishing high ranks. For example, this week you can earn the player Kévin Rodrigues, who is worth a swap deals item. However, you need to finish the week in rank 3 or higher – then the card should be among the rewards next Monday.
Option 3: Special SBCs
The third option requires a bit of building skill in Squad Building Challenges: In the first week, for example, you could earn the player Pedro Chirivella through an SBC, who is also worth a swap deals item.
Option 4: Daily and weekly objectives
Through daily and weekly objectives, you can also earn swap deals items – but these are only available for a limited time. For example, through the daily objective “Swap Deals Player,” you could obtain the player Dženis Burnić from Borussia Dortmund by winning three Division Rivals matches. This task has now ended, but similar objectives should return in the coming days.
Step 2: Exchange items for players in FIFA 19
This is how you exchange your items: Once you have earned some swap items, you can make your first trades through SBC. The SBC for Paco Alcacer costs only three items and is thus already fulfillable.
This is how the SBC works: Open the Squad Building Challenge. There you place your earned items in the appropriate spots. Submit them and receive the desired player – in this example, that’s Paco Alcacer. However, rewards in the form of packs or other players are also possible.
Thus, you should consider saving items: You should always keep in mind: Once you give away your swap items, you cannot get them back. The SBC for Stephan El Shaarawy, for example, costs 12 items – so you would need to save up a few items first. Also, Top players in FIFA 19 in the coming months are expected to be expensive.
Saved items likely not usable in the future: The event will continue in the coming months, but the swap items cannot be used for the next SBCs. So exchange your swap player items in time.
More events: The Swap Deals will be a regular part of this season’s FUT event calendar. Here you find the overview of all upcoming specials:
In Fortnite, the supposed challenges for Week 3 of Season 6 are known. According to data miners, the new weekly tasks should finally be cool again.
Data mining leak on all new challenges: The tasks for Week 3 from Season 6 were found by data miners in the game code. There are still no treasure hunts anymore, but the tasks are apparently much more exciting and cooler than the dull 0-8-15 kill quests from Week 2.
But as always, these details are based on findings from data mining and may not necessarily be accurate. Everything could theoretically change before the start of Week 3 on Thursday.
Update 11.10.: The “real” challenges are here now. Unfortunately, they are not as exciting as expected:
The free challenges without Battle Pass in Season 6, Week 2
Revive players in different matches (5): You can easily accomplish this task if you play in 50 vs 50 mode. There’s usually someone down, looking for a revive.
Stage 1: Search for a chest in Lonely Lodge (1): This task will likely send you zigzagging across the map, where you can search for various chests.
Ring the doorbell of a house where an opponent is (5): This task sounds exciting. Just knowing that an opponent is in the house can betray your position. Fortunately, you don’t have to kill the enemy as well. If necessary, you can go down and still complete the challenge.
For these 4 tasks in Week 3 you need the Battle Pass
Stage 1: Visit Risky Reels and Wailing Woods in the same match (1): In this challenge, you need to visit two places that are not far apart. The next distances might be larger, however.
Hit an opponent with a tomato from at least 20 meters away (1,000): This task sounds bizarre. For one, the tomato throw is a toy that appears much later in the Battle Pass for Season 6 (Level 28). And then the number behind it is a bit strange. It’s unlikely that Epic requires you to throw 1,000 tomatoes. So this task will probably change. Also, keep an eye on our Facebook page for Fortnite, so you don’t miss the new challenges.
Shoot at 3 targets at different shooting ranges (5): This challenge reminds me of the clay pigeons from a past season. The shooting ranges will probably be added to the game soon.
Eliminate opponents in different rounds (10): This should not be too difficult. Kills are something everyone gets eventually.
More information on Thursday
Attention, tasks may still change: The tasks from Week 3 of Season 6 all sound pretty cool and interesting, but everything might still change.

A YouTuber films all cutscenes from Warcraft 3 with the graphics of World of Warcraft. You can check out the impressive work here.
World of Warcraft is fundamentally based on the events of the strategy game Warcraft 3. However, that game is now over 15 years old, and many newcomers are reluctant to “slog through” such an old game just to know the backstory. But now there is a remedy in the form of a video.
The YouTuber José Barrios Villarroel from the YouTube channel JoseBV has taken the audio files from Warcraft 3 and used them as a basis for some Machinima with the graphics of World of Warcraft.
What is shown in the video? The video showcases the first 9 “episodes” of Reign of Chaos, the campaign of Warcraft 3 as a movie. There are scenes featuring Arthas, Jaina, Thrall, and Medivh. Everything is based on the storyline of Warcraft 3, with only a few points being revised to make battles look more spectacular.
For those who prefer to see the English original, you can also check it out here. On the YouTube channel, the cutscenes can be found in multiple languages. Each time, the videos were slightly adjusted to accommodate the different speech lengths. Here is the English version of the first episode:

Of course, the storyline is not complete yet. Whether the remaining parts will still be released remains to be seen – after all, JoseBV creates the videos in his spare time.
Cortyn says: Watching the video has rekindled my excitement for the “good old” Warcraft 3. I’ve forgotten many details of the story, and perhaps some things will stand out that I missed years ago. It’s time to raid Stratholme again and purify the whole city…
What do you think of the video? A cool thing or unnecessary since the original exists?
The online shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will receive a massive Day One patch on PS4 and Xbox One at launch. It is almost as large as the entire game and especially annoys buyers of a physical version of the game.
What is the Day One patch? Like many games today, the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 from Treyarch will already have its first patch at launch. This “Day One patch” is quite significant. It includes approximately 50 gigabytes of data on PS4 and Xbox One.
In comparison: The entire game should be about 55 gigabytes in size. This means that almost the whole game will be revised in one way or another at launch.
Those with the disk version are at a disadvantage
That’s terrible, doesn’t that mean I can’t play right away? It depends on which version of Black Ops 4 you bought. If you downloaded the digital version via the internet, the patch can basically be irrelevant to you.
Thanks to pre-load, you should be able to download the current version right away. Just remember to start the pre-load on time, otherwise you’ll also be waiting ages while your friends are already playing.
Warning for PlayStation 4 players: On Sony’s PlayStation 4, you need to create enough space on the hard drive. Due to the internal storage management, you require around 112 gigabytes of free space to download the game. However, this should then return to the normal size of about 55 GB after installation.
The physical version must be completely patched: Unfortunately, the situation is different for the disk version. Anyone who wants the game in hand must fully patch the game after installation and download the 50 gigabytes.
Battle Royale less affected
But is there no way to play faster? If you really want to play the zombie and regular multiplayer mode right away, then you unfortunately have to patch everything.
However, if you just want to try out the new battle royale mode Blackout, then you are in luck. This mode is supposed to run after only 16 to 20 gigabytes (about 30 percent of the total download). That should go somewhat faster than downloading the full 50 gigabytes.
After a preview event for Fallout 76 that recently took place, there is a lot of new information about the features. We now know how the V.A.T.S. system works. This feature is typical for the series, but in Fallout 76 it may be different than you know.
What is the V.A.T.S.? The “Vault Tech Assisted Targeting System” is a feature that has been around since Fallout 3. It is a supportive tool inspired by skills from the first two parts. It significantly slows down combat and allows targeting of opponents’ weak points. Depending on which spots you target, body parts can also be severed.
Since Fallout 76 is a purely online game, it was extremely unlikely that the functions would simply be adopted. This has now been confirmed, VATS will be reworked for Fallout 76.
This is how the new VATS works
This is how VATS has been changed: Compared to before
The game can no longer be slowed down,
and players can move with active VATS.
Weak points of your opponents are shown,
along with the likelihood that you will hit them
and it serves as automatic aiming for your bullets.
With perk cards, you can improve the damage bonus and precision of VATS.
In this video from FudgeMuppet, you can get an impression of the new VATS.

This is being criticized: Not all journalists who were able to test the new system were satisfied. For example, PC Gamer describes the new VATS as disappointing.
In VATS mode, while ideally the bullets follow their target,
your weapon does not move with it.
You can aim meters away and still hit if the hit probability is sufficient.
This feels strange, as if you were shooting from the hip into nowhere. While VATS can be a useful aiming aid on consoles, with mouse and keyboard you might prefer to invest in other perks.
Fans will be able to get an impression themselves in the beta. This starts on October 23 on Xbox One, with PC and PS4 following a week later. Here’s how to participate in the beta.
What do you think of VATS in Fallout 76? Do you have any other ideas on how to improve it?
Fortnite: Battle Royale aims to provide a home to as few cheaters as possible. That’s why Epic has acquired a company that solely focuses on combating cheaters: the Finnish start-up Kamu.
What is Kamu? The company Kamu is a Finnish start-up based in Helsinki that specializes in combating cheaters. According to its own statements, the company has deployed the anti-cheat tool “Easy Anti-Cheat” in over 80 online games and on over 100 million PCs.
Epic quickly buys an anti-cheat company: Epic, the developer of Fortnite and Unreal Engine, has now utilized its immense resources and acquired Kamu.
What does the acquisition mean for other games? According to a press release, Kamu will nevertheless not only offer its services for Epic and Fortnite. For the foreseeable future, the company will also support other games with its tools.
For the head of Kamu, the acquisition by Epic fulfills a dream. They expect that the financial backing from Epic will lead to an even better approach to the development of anti-cheat software.
Fans appreciate it: The players of Fortnite have largely reacted positively to Epic’s purchase of Kamu. Better anti-cheat tools equate to fewer cheaters for many.
Some wish for such commitment from other battle royale games, namely PUBG. The major competitor Fortnite is particularly plagued by cheaters from China.
However, some players fear being restricted by complex anti-cheat tools or additional authentication mechanisms.
What is your opinion on Epic’s acquisition of Kamu? Will the close collaboration of anti-cheat software and developers make the game safer? Or do you fear disadvantages from it?
If Death Knights in World of Warcraft set their minds to something, they follow through. They mastered Atal’Dazar on “Mythic+12” and that completely without healers or DPS.
Every successful group for a “Mythic+” dungeon in World of Warcraft needs a solid mix of tank, healer, and three damage dealers to be successful. Every group? Not really. Because as we have now learned, you can also just go in with 5 tanks to tackle the toughest challenges in Battle for Azeroth.
What happened? A group of five Blood Death Knights tackled the dungeon Atal’Dazar at the difficulty “Mythic+12”. To the amazement of many viewers of the stream, they even completed the dungeon within the time limit. Still 43 seconds remained on the timer.

How was this possible? Blood Death Knights are tanks in World of Warcraft with solid damage output and extremely high self-healing. This makes a healer nearly unnecessary, as the Death Knights can simply taunt the enemies off each other, heal themselves up, and then take back aggro when it gets critical for a teammate.
It is also important that Death Knights can control some undead enemies in Atal’Dazar and effectively take them along as “pets,” greatly increasing the damage dealt. These include the Reanimated Honor Guard, which deals extremely high area damage and swiftly dispatches many foes.
Who are the 5 Death Knights? The 5 Death Knights are not “anyone,” but some of the best players in the world. They are participants of the “Mythic Dungeon Invitational” and some of the best players from the raid guild Method. Method was also responsible for the first kill of G’huun on mythic.
Have you also set such a task as a goal? Are you impressed by the performance? Or should such a thing not be possible?

Slaking is a commonly used monster in Pokémon GO. Nevertheless, this Pokémon is always a poor choice in battles. Our author Noah explains why he believes there are many better alternatives to Slaking and why you should use them.
The Steel Pokémon Slaking is probably one of the most used Pokémon in the game. Trainers typically don’t choose the monster themselves. The suggested Pokémon for battles often include at least one Slaking.
And although Slaking is suggested so often, you should never use this Pokémon.
Slaking is suggested by the game
Slaking is probably the most suggested Pokémon in the game. It almost doesn’t matter which Pokémon you want to battle – the game suggests Slaking.
Therefore, you should not follow the suggestions: The reason Slaking is suggested so often is simple. The defense value of the Steel Pokémon is enormously high. Pokémon GO calculates the suggestions based on which Pokémon can withstand the most against the respective opponent. Due to its high defense value, Slaking generally endures a lot.
Types of Slaking: Additionally, Slaking is of Steel and Rock type. These are two types against which many raid bosses, but also classic gym defenders like Snorlax, are not very effective. A Slaking thus endures primarily against these Pokémon. That’s why Pokémon GO keeps suggesting this monster.
Following the same principle, Pokémon like Steelix or Golem are also suggested. These are not always the right choice either. So don’t listen to the game’s suggestions, but assemble your own battle team. How to complete level 3 raids in Pokémon GO solo, we will show you here.
That’s why Slaking is useless
Defense is not the goal in battle: If you want to attack a gym, it is not the goal to withstand a lot. You want to deal as much damage as possible. Therefore, it is not advisable to choose a monster with a high defense value.
Other values are not particularly good: Even if Slaking’s defense value is very good, its other values unfortunately are not. Almost every final evolution has a higher attack value than Slaking. In raids or gym battles, the attack value is crucial. So before you send a Slaking into battle, you should be aware that it deals very little damage. This can decide victory and defeat in raids.
Useless type: The problem with Steel Pokémon is not only that Slaking has better alternatives there. The Steel type is generally rarely useful. Steel is effective against Fairy, Rock, and Ice. Fairy Pokémon are scarce, so a counter is almost never needed there. Ice Pokémon can be defeated much better by Fire, Rock, and Fighting Pokémon. Rock type Pokémon have even more weaknesses. Hence, a Steel Pokémon cannot be effectively used at all.
Source: PokéWiki
Poor defender: If you now think that you can at least use Slaking as a really good gym defender, you are mistaken. Slaking is, apart from the Steel type, also Rock type. This gives Slaking a double weakness against Fighting and Ground Pokémon. This means that Steel type and Rock type are weak against Fighting and Ground. Due to the double weakness, Slaking can be quickly knocked out of gyms.
Strengths of Slaking are pointless
After all these negative facts about Slaking, it’s understandable that I advise against strengthening this Pokémon. Before you strengthen this Pokémon, you should focus on attackers with more potential.
Think twice before choosing your Pokémon: You have now read why Slaking is suggested. Think twice before you let this Pokémon battle. Just because the game suggests it, does not mean this Pokémon is good.
Do you want to get the probably hardest weapon to obtain from Destiny 2 or at least try? Here’s what you need to do to get the Not Forgotten.
Besides Redrix’s Claymore and Luna’s Howl, there is another weapon in Season 4 of Destiny 2 that can only be obtained through PvP. It is the Hand Cannon Not Forgotten. Those who want to attempt this monster task should expect a long road through the competitive rankings, but the best outcome is one of the strongest PvP Hand Cannons.
Not Forgotten – The Sister Weapon of Luna’s Howl
What is the Not Forgotten? The Not Forgotten is a legendary Hand Cannon for the energy slot. It belongs to the Hand Cannon archetype with precision frame. Not Forgotten is therefore precise and has a fast fire rate of 180.
What makes Not Forgotten so special? Like Luna’s Howl, the Not Forgotten has the special perk “Magnificent Howl”. This perk grants two quick successive precision shots bonus damage for a short time, until you get your next kill or miss a shot.
Magnificent Howl gives the weapon a damage bonus – and it is enormous (around +125%). Especially in PvP, the additional damage is noticeably significant. When Magnificent Howl is active, no PvP opponent can survive the two critical hits, followed by a third – even if the third shot hits the body. Here, a resilience of 10 will not save the opponent.
What is then the difference to Luna’s Howl? The main difference between the two weapons lies primarily in range and thus also in precision.
With its initial perks, the range of the Not Forgotten can be greatly increased. Moreover, the weapon apparently comes with an automatic range masterwork. This allows the Not Forgotten to reach nearly double the range of Luna’s Howl.
Source: YouTube (FalloutPlays)
Range in Destiny 2 not only means reduced damage drop-off at longer distances – it also equates to precision. So, if a weapon has more range, it will also be more precise.
In short: Not Forgotten has a higher range and is more precise. Luna’s Howl, on the other hand, offers higher stability, better handling, and a shorter reload time. You can watch the differences between the two weapons in this video comparison by FalloutPlays:

Two Colts for Every Occasion: The Not Forgotten and Luna’s Howl are basically two versions of the same weapon. Not Forgotten is aimed more at those who enjoy using Hand Cannons but prefer long-range combat and can live with lower stability. Luna’s Howl is suited for those who like stable Hand Cannons and prefer to fight at close range.
How to Get the Not Forgotten
The Long Road to Not Forgotten: The Not Forgotten can only be obtained through a multi-part PvP quest in the competitive playlist of the Crucible. Obtaining Luna’s Howl is the first requirement on the way to Not Forgotten.
Once it is obtained, a new quest line starts where you must prove your Hand Cannon skills. The following steps need to be completed:
Get 300 kills with Luna’s Howl in the competitive playlist of the Crucible
Now you must reach the sixth and final rank “Legendary” in the competitive rankings – that is, a full 5500 points
You have the entire Season 4 to complete these tasks. The biggest hurdle on the way to Not Forgotten is likely the rank climb, just like with Luna’s Howl. Because with every defeat in the competitive playlist, you lose points in the Glory rank system. This quest is aimed more at hardcore PvP players and is likely unreachable for the average Guardian.
The release of Fallout 76 is approaching, and there is still a lot of skepticism surrounding the online game. The situation is somewhat reminiscent of the announcement of the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online. However, with Fallout 76, it might be even harder to silence the critics, believes our author Andreas Bertits.
Since the announcement, Fallout 76 has been criticized for being an online game. The same happened with The Elder Scrolls Online. In this article, we will look at what bothers the critics about Fallout 76 and what Bethesda can still do to appease them.
An online game with a tough stance
What’s the problem? Fallout 76 is going to be a multiplayer online game – that’s basically the core of the whole problem.
Especially the core fans of the Fallout series reject this. They desire a classic single-player RPG, because, except for Fallout Tactics, all games in the series were like that.
What is Fallout 76? Fallout 76 aims to bring multiplayer into the game. However, the developers repeatedly refer to it as Fallout 4 with multiplayer. According to early previews, that’s not too far from reality.
You still stumble out of a bunker and explore the post-apocalyptic wasteland. You fight mutants, but also other players. It is possible to ally with the 24 players per server or go to war against them. However, there are no quests in the traditional sense, and no NPCs with whom you can have dialogues.
Nevertheless, you follow a main story that leads you across the land.
Some players are extremely skeptical: The fact that there are no NPCs or dialogues, and the potential for PvP everywhere, especially leads the core fans of Fallout to respond rather negatively.
They expected something different and, even after many previews, cannot see how Fallout 76 can be a “true” Fallout. Consequently, there is heavy criticism of Bethesda’s new online game.
It was the same with The Elder Scrolls in 2012: When Bethesda/Zenimax announced The Elder Scrolls Online as an MMORPG in 2012, fans of the fantasy RPG series also took to the barricades. MMORPGs really play differently than single-player RPGs, especially regarding quests, decisions, and consequences.
Players feared that The Elder Scrolls would become a grinding game, where the story was just decorative. Many did not want to encounter hopping players in colorful costumes while trying to save the world.
So is it with The Elder Scrolls today: However, The Elder Scrolls Online has now become a successful online game.
Many fans of the series have given the title a chance, and Zenimax has also reached players who otherwise had nothing to do with The Elder Scrolls. Especially on PS4 and Xbox One, The Elder Scrolls Online has achieved its goals.
That’s why it’s harder for Bethesda with Fallout 76 than with TESO: The situation surrounding Fallout 76 is a little more complicated than with The Elder Scrolls Online for several reasons:
the biggest sticking point is the fact that Fallout 76 does not offer NPCs and dialogues
the open PvP discourages many players
Fallout is, after all, a game in which the player’s solitude is an important factor
With The Elder Scrolls Online, Bethesda has proven that it can successfully release a single-player series as an online game, but players are now skeptical about Fallout 76.
Bethesda has to make the Fallout fans crave a new Fallout that differs in many key elements from the other titles in the series. That’s no easy task.
Loneliness and story as keys to success?
This is how Fallout 76 could still reach the core fans: There are some points where Fallout 76 must convince:
It must feel fundamentally like a single-player RPG and give the player the feeling of being (more or less) alone in the game world. The feeling of loneliness that other Fallout games exude must be preserved.
The story must engage. The Fallout games simply thrive on the story. It is an integral part and must convince in Fallout 76.
The exploration aspect must be right. In Fallout, the most exciting situations arose from exploring the wasteland and discovering secrets that could lead to small adventures. This must also be the case in Fallout 76.
PvP should not be annoying. Those who just want to explore the world and follow the story should not be frustrated by constant attacks from enemies.
The multiplayer aspect must feel natural. It should be something special to encounter other players, leading to exciting situations. Simply seeing players jumping around could ruin the atmosphere.

Here are still the sticking points: Even if previous previews say that Fallout 76 feels like a Fallout, there are some points that still raise a few question marks and could be crucial for its success or failure among core fans:
No NPCs – Non-player characters have been important in Fallout so far. Exploring their personalities, figuring out their motivations, is simply a lot of fun in the single-player titles. Experiencing how civilization works after the nuclear war is interesting. One has to forgo that in Fallout 76.
No dialogues – For many, a good RPG includes the ability to talk with NPCs. Making decisions that might impact relationships or even the story. There will be none of that in Fallout 76.
Microtransactions – These generally represent a problem for many online games. They must be fair and should not impose themselves on the player. In Fallout there have only been DLCs as additional content so far. Now it is possible to purchase cosmetic items.
Atmosphere – Here, the cosmetic items play a role. In previous gameplay material, for example, players with party hats have been seen wandering through the wasteland. Depending on how outlandish the costumes are, this could harm the atmosphere.
Story – So far, it is known that the story of Fallout 76 revolves around the disappearance of the inhabitants of the region. Now it remains to be seen whether Bethesda can also tell this story engagingly.
Fallout 76 has a tough stance in the community. It must convince players that it feels and plays like Fallout. And achieving this will simply be a bit harder for Bethesda than it was with The Elder Scrolls Online. It is doable – I have faith in Fallout 76.
But whether it succeeds, we will find out at the release on November 14.
Fans are having a royal time with Fortnite Battle Royale right now. Epic had its video for the Battle Pass of Season 6 striked due to a copyright infringement. At least that’s what YouTube claims. But can you trust the bots there?
YouTube reported: The video is no longer accessible due to a copyright claim from Epic Games.
What is a copyright strike? A copyright strike is issued for videos that violate copyright.
If there is a suspicion that rights may be violated, the video will be initially blocked. Users can no longer see it but receive a message that the video is “no longer available.”
It is then relatively complicated to bring it back online:
The creator of the video can accept this blocking or decide to contest the strike.
Then the “strike distributor” can decide whether to uphold or retract their objection.
What is behind this? Some are discussing the topic more seriously. They believe that it is not Epic’s fault, but that the culprit lies within YouTube’s system.
It seems that bots have taken over control and act according to algorithms on how to distribute these strikes. Instances occur that seem inexplicable from a “human perspective”.
This is a problem with YouTube. It happens when bots take over control.
Meanwhile, the video has been restored anyway. A comment from Epic regarding what has happened is still pending.
A similar problem with algorithms is described here:
The world of Fallout 76 will be huge and significantly larger than any games that Bethesda has released so far. Now the complete map has been revealed.
From the very beginning, it was clear that Fallout 76 would have a very large game world. Already at E3, Bethesda proudly announced that the map of Fallout 76 would be about four times larger than that of Fallout 4.
So far, the entire world map has not been revealed, only parts could be seen in gameplay clips. Fans have painstakingly pieced these together and reconstructed larger parts of the map. Now, the complete map of the game world has finally been released.
The Wasteland of West Virginia will be huge
At the preview event for Fallout 76, which recently took place, the complete map was shown. Although it does not mark any locations, it gives an impression of how many different places are waiting to be explored by players.
How many players are on a map? Up to 24 players will be active on each server and map.
How large is the map in numbers? If we follow the map of Fallout 4, the game world of Fallout 76 will be about 40 km² large.
On average, there will be 1.65 km² between you and the next player. However, players do not always move at the same distances. So, you will meet more or fewer players at times.
These places await you in West Virginia
Not all locations from Fallout 76 are known yet. A few places have already been seen in gameplay videos, such as
the Greenbrier Resort, a hotel where US President Eisenhower had a secret bunker built in 1958,
Camden Park, a large amusement park,
Vault 76, located west of Morgantown,
a VaultTech university near the Monongahela River,
and the Etam Earth satellite station.
Additionally, there are the large forests and mountains typical of West Virginia. Long highways and many abandoned towns are also present.
His passive trait is Vampiric Touch which ensures that attacks heal Mal’Ganis for a small percentage. Attacks against enemy heroes provide more healing.
Demonic Claws is his first ability. Mal’Ganis strikes in a straight line and deals damage. The attack can be used up to three times in quick succession, and the third strike stuns hit enemies briefly.
The second ability is Necrotic Plague which deals damage in a direct radius around Mal’Ganis. At the same time, Mal’Ganis receives armor for a few seconds, which reduces the damage he takes.
His last ability is Nightfall. After a short channeling, he begins to float and gains increased movement speed. Opponents passed out fall asleep for a few seconds.
His first heroic ability is Swarm of Bats. After a short cast, Mal’Ganis transforms into an invulnerable bat swarm. He can glide through enemies and enemies within his radius take damage every second, healing Mal’Ganis for a medium amount.
Mal’Ganis’ second heroic ability is Dark Transformation. After a short channeling, Mal’Ganis and the targeted enemy quickly exchange their percentage health values.
In summary, Mal’Ganis is a resilient tank who can keep himself alive with self-healing, but is easily incapacitated by stuns since many of his abilities need to be charged.
There is no release date for Mal’Ganis yet – however, he can now be played on the PTR of Heroes of the Storm.
Are you looking forward to Mal’Ganis? Or would you have preferred a sneaky assassin?
Tim Wellens loves the online game Elite Dangerous. So much so that he dedicated a poem to the title – and was promptly banned from Twitter for it.
One should be careful on Twitter about what one says. Apparently even in a poem about a computer game.
Poem leads to Twitter ban
What happened? On the day of the poem, Frontier Developments published a poem via the official Twitter account of Elite Dangerous to encourage players to respond in poem form.
This is a typical limerick, a 5-line poem with the rhyme scheme AABBA:
There once was a pilot from Lave, Who wasn’t particularly brave. He encountered a Thargoid, Who he tried to avoid, But now he’s one foot in the grave!
The Elite Dangerous fan Tim Wellens reacted and wrote his own poem:
Roses are red, Violets are blue, Thargoid or foe, I will come to kill you.
As a result, his Twitter account was banned. The reason: The tweet allegedly violated the guidelines which prohibit threats of violence.
That’s why the player is angry: Tim Wellens explains that he is furious about this. Because he feels that the ban made him feel judged by a computer.
Even when he complained, it fell on deaf ears. Wellens believes that no human looked into this matter and that he was only communicating with an AI against which he has no chance at all.
Tim Wellens understands that Twitter uses bots to deal with the volume of daily tweets and filter out problematic messages. But he had hoped that at least after a complaint, a human would look into the issue and make a reasonable decision.
Because his tweet was not a direct threat to a person, but a reaction to a poem and “threatened” in that sense only aliens in a computer game or enemies he could encounter while playing. All of this had nothing to do with the real world.
Not an isolated case: The streamer Graeme Crawford was also banned from Twitter when he wrote on October 3rd in response to a friend’s video: “I will kill you when I’m not sick anymore”. Here, too, only bots reacted to his objections, and his account remained banned.
This is how the community reacts: Of course, these bans went viral. The community of Elite Dangerous shows no understanding of how Twitter reacted.
RMJ wrote on PCGamer: “The world is turning into a sad place.”
rep- wrote on Eurogamer: “Moderation on Twitter is a farce.”
Twitter must, of course, respond to threats and uses an algorithm for this. However, the fact that appeals are not reviewed by human employees leaves a bad taste for many.
To navigate the world of Red Dead Redemption 2, you are not reliant on the mini-map. It is said that NPCs will assist you.
This month, Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released, offering a large, open world to explore. According to new information, RDR 2 will feature a mechanic that allows players to immerse themselves even deeper into the virtual world.
NPCs will guide you in Red Dead Redemption 2
According to a tweet from Rockstar Intel, NPCs in Red Dead Redemption 2 will show you the way to important locations when you turn off the mini-map.
What does the tweet say? It is said that non-player characters (NPCs) will alter their dialogue when you disable the mini-map. They will guide you with routes when you approach them.
What does such a feature bring? It enhances the exploration feel when you don’t have an open mini-map in the interface constantly showing you sights or paths. In the impressive landscapes of Red Dead Redemption 2, many special places could be hidden, waiting to be discovered by adventurers.
Players are to be drawn into the story: Rockstar seems very focused on immersing players deeply into the story of Red Dead Redemption 2. With the 1st-person perspective , you will experience the story from the first position, bringing you even closer to the action. By hiding the mini-map, it all becomes even more realistic. Exactly what adventurers want.
Where does the info come from? There are various sources that report on the change in NPC dialogues when the mini-map is turned off. Besides Rockstar Intel, YouTuber LegacyKillaHD also reports on this feature. He claims to have received this information from the Belgian magazine Gameplay, which reportedly covered this feature in their magazine.
Feature is optional: It sounds like this exploration option is optional. Those who prefer to play with a mini-map can continue to do so as a preference.
The best PvE players in the world are competing to see who is the fastest speedrunner in the raid “Last Wish” in Destiny 2. It’s all about rules, short-term changes to those rules, and a lot of drama.
The top players of Destiny 2 are usually not satisfied with just defeating a raid. They work hard to always find new ways to complete raids in record time. One of these speedruns by Slayerage and his clan “The Legend Himself” has caused a stir in the community.
And not even because of the players themselves, but because of a completely different clan.
Top player disqualified for skating
What happened? The clan The Legend Himself recently set a new world record for the raid “Last Wish” with 26 minutes and 22 seconds. The clan and especially the player Slayerage are no strangers when it comes to setting new records or outrageous runs.
The clan decided to submit their run to speedrun.com to have the world record recognized within the community. speedrun.com is a website where all sorts of records for various games are collected. The site is monitored and operated by the various game communities.
Why was there trouble? The Legend Himself was disqualified from their run by the leaderboard on speedrun.com because they used Titan Skating. This allows Titans to move faster with their Catapult Jump.
TLH was accused of using a macro for Titan Skating. It is officially possible to remap the jump key on PC in the Destiny 2 settings to other keys. This includes the mouse wheel, which the clan claims to have used.
The moderators of the leaderboard justified the DQ by stating that consistent rules should apply to all platforms. Titan Skating is not possible on consoles due to the FPS limitation.
TLH defended themselves by stating that the rule only makes sense if you have a team of six Titans. However, the run was completed with only one Titan, two Hunters, and three Warlocks, and the checkpoints load only as fast as the slowest player: therefore, Titan Skating would not benefit mixed teams.

When the referee plays along and changes the rules …
Where is the drama now? The Legend Himself was disqualified by Indica, a member of Clan Redeem, who also moderates the leaderboard for Destiny 2 on speedrun.com. According to the community, this represents a conflict of interest, as Clan Redeem also participates in speedruns and held the world record at the time of TLH’s record attempt.
The rule against Titan Skating was also not visible in the rules on speedrun.com at the time of the record attempt and was only added after TLH submitted their run.
After Indica was pointed out that he had himself violated one of the rules, namely that no more than 10 percent of the Super may be available before the start of the speedrun, this point was quietly removed from the rules.

What does the community think? The Guardians in the Destiny subreddit have almost unanimously sided with Slayerage and TLH. It particularly bothers them that players who themselves participate in speedruns also decide on the runs of others.
Moreover, the actions of Redeem players Indica and Ehroar were not well received in the community. While Indica was allegedly responsible for the rule changes, Ehroar insulted Slayerage and his clan on Twitter.
What impact did the dispute have? The reputation of Clan Redeem has undoubtedly suffered in the community. After the commotion, Indica was excluded from Redeem.

The founder of Redeem stated that Indica has repeatedly been responsible for controversies. Speedruns should be fun and not serve as a stage for childish, toxic behavior.
The Guardians in the subreddit, however, believe this is still not enough. They are calling for Ehroar to be removed from the clan for his toxicity.

Fallout 76 will offer microtransactions. Players can exchange real money for a premium currency, which can then be used to purchase special cosmetic items. Here is what we know so far about the “Atoms.”
As is common in games with online content, Fallout 76 will offer microtransactions (MTX). Through these, special cosmetic items can be purchased directly. Bethesda is following other major titles like Overwatch, Fortnite, or The Division.
You must exchange your money for the premium currency “Atoms”. You can also earn these Atoms in-game through various activities and unlock all cosmetic items this way.
Buying Skins and Outfits – How to Get Atoms
What are Atoms? Atoms are the premium currency of Fallout 76, which can be acquired through real money or earned during gameplay. With this currency, you can buy all sorts of outfits, skins, and other cosmetic items.
Apparently, it will not be a problem to earn Atoms in-game. This was emphasized by Pete Hines, Vice President of Bethesda, in a conversation with “Xbox Live” chief Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb.
You receive them as a small reward for leaving the Vault, the first time you kill a monster, or when you find fruits or vegetables for the first time.
Interesting: The question here is whether there are also “regular” in-game sources of income for Atoms. Hines seems to only mention “one-time” opportunities.
What will the prices be like? There is no further information on this yet. Pre-order customers will receive 500 Atoms. We will probably find out what they are worth only at the beta launch.
Will it also be possible to buy other items such as equipment or perk cards for real money? No, Bethesda has always emphasized that you can only buy cosmetic items.
Bethesda Plans Regular, Free Updates
These are the plans for further content: There will be no season pass or paid DLCs. All expansions are intended to be free.
According to Bethesda, Fallout 76 is designed to be able to deliver weekly and monthly updates. Fallout 76 is attempting to engage its players like an MMO.
The mega project Cyberpunk 2077 has now enlisted help – and these are specialists for multiplayer. Digital Scapes helped create the PvP in Dying Light. Is there hope for a Cyberpunk 2077 Online?
CD Projekt announces: The Polish studio states that it has entered into a “long-term partnership” with Digital Scapes.
The Canadian partner studio will work closely with CD Projekt Red to create and optimize technical solutions that will then be used in the development of Cyberpunk 2077.
Who is Digital Scapes? This is a Canadian studio that employs former employees of BioWare, Relic, and Radical. The studio describes itself (via linkedin) as specialized in
AAA multiplayer for PC and consoles
Cloud computing
and the development of tools
and producing assets
They created the PvP mode for Dying Light. And the “cloud-based online service” that helped developers collect data in real-time.
What could be behind this? It is likely that this is primarily about development tools for which Digital Scapes was brought in.
Cyberpunk 2077 at launch without multiplayer … but afterwards?
New speculation about Cyberpunk Online: However, this news stirs up speculation again about whether Cyberpunk 2077 might actually receive an online mode for multiplayer.
Why is there so much talk about multiplayer? Although there is no mention of multiplayer in CD Projekt Red’s statement about Digital Scapes, it actually seems likely to bring an online mode for a project like Cyberpunk 2077 to monetize it in the long run. For example, Red Dead Redemption 2 does it with “Red Dead Online.”
In the single-player series “The Witcher,” CD Projekt Red separated the in-game card game “Gwent” and made it its own games-as-a-service. CD Projekt Red had announced that it could envision something like that for the future.
But at E3 2018, they then shifted to emphasize the single-player character of Cyberpunk 2077 and have since refrained from online references.
Fortnite: Battle Royale is getting a new weapon this week: the Quad Rocket Launcher is set to come in a new update. At least on paper, this weapon sounds even more powerful than the legendary remote-controlled rockets. Will the new rocket launcher disrupt the meta?
The first new weapon of Season 6:The new Season 6 is only a few days old, and Epic is already bringing a new gun!
Already this ongoing week, Epic will introduce a new weapon in Fortnite: Battle Royale, which has been lurking in the game files for months but is only now being officially introduced.
Presumably, the new Quad Rocket Launcher will be integrated into the game on Wednesday, 10th October, with an appropriate update. And according to the in-game message, a powerful weapon is awaiting us.
The new Quad Rocket Launcher – The Building Nightmare?
Four rockets launched one after the other: If you are already annoyed by the normal rocket launcher, you might not be excited about the new Quad Rocket Launcher. As the name suggests, the new Quadlauncher fires four rockets one after the other.
The wording of the in-game message raises questions: Translated, it means “Fires up to four rockets to deal area explosive damage.” The crucial detail here is the small word “up to.” This indicates that the four rockets are not fired simultaneously, but one after the other.
But how quickly will they be fired one after the other? Will it fire so quickly that your opponent won’t be able to build cover in time? The answer to this question will likely determine whether the new Quadlauncher becomes the new “Must Have” weapon for Fortnite: Battle Royale.
Also considered overpowered – the remote-controlled rocket
But not only the firing rate of the rocket launcher is interesting:
What will the reload time be? Does each rocket need to be loaded individually?
How many rockets can be carried? As the limit for normal rocket launchers is 12 rockets, this will likely apply here as well.
How rare will the rocket launcher be? We will likely see both an epic and a legendary variant.
However, it is certain that the new rocket launcher will obliterate enemy structures (and their occupants in the process) in no time. It will be exciting to see what tactics players come up with to counter the rocket launcher.
As a maximum of twelve rockets can be carried at once, the owner of the rocket launcher must also plan carefully about how to use his three volleys of four rockets. They will likely disappear faster than you would like.
What do you think? Will the new rocket launcher set new standards? Or is the Quadlauncher just another hype weapon that won’t hold up in reality?
In a video, Treyarch talks about 10 years of Zombies in Call of Duty and gives a look at the maps that will be available at launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will also continue the Zombie tradition of the Black Ops series. In this context, the developers at Treyarch look back in a video on 10 years of Zombie experience – from the Easter egg Zombie level in Call of Duty: World at War to Black Ops 4.
What does the video show? After a brief excursion through the history of the Zombie mode, there is also a look at the 3 known Zombie maps that CoD: Black Ops 4 will offer at release. These include:
IX: The map IX (Nine) takes place in ancient Rome – at a time when combat to the death was still seen as a sport. As part of a time travel, players will have to fight in gladiatorial-like battles against hordes of wild zombies. They will use bows, swords, and other ancient weapons.
Voyage of Despair: During a journey through time, players find themselves on the Titanic in the year 1912. After the attempt to steal an ancient artifact fails, they must combat a supernatural threat on the steamship. By the way, Voyage of Despair is the largest Zombie map that Treyarch has ever developed.
Blood of the Dead: In this remake of the popular Zombie map “Mob of the Dead” from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, players must fight against the undead that have overrun the prison island. The map resembles the original “Mob of the Dead” and offers expanded areas and some new locations.
Additional map with the Season Pass: For buyers of the Black Ops Pass (available individually or in certain editions), there will be another previously unknown Zombie map at launch, simply referred to as “Classified.” However, there are already hints that it is a remake of the map V (five), which takes place in the Pentagon. Together with the three other maps, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will offer the most extensive Zombie content of all Call of Duty titles at launch.
Zombies in Call of Duty? What started as an Easter egg almost 10 years ago has developed over time into one of the most popular modes of the Black Ops series. With up to four players, it is cooperative against waves of undead – all on different maps and underscored by a twisted sci-fi story.
