In Fortnite: Battle Royale, since the glider nerf, fall damage has become a real problem. But with this simple trick, you can avoid fatal falls.
Why are so many players dying from falling? In Fortnite, the reusable gliders were recently removed with Update 6.30. Until then, players could activate the handy gliders at any time and safely float down from any height.
Here’s how to avoid fall damage: If you fall from a certain height in Fortnite, you can take heavy damage. Often, such a fall ends fatally. But with a simple trick, you can completely avoid the damage.
All you need is a special item: the balloon. Balloons are actually used to gain height slowly. In the old meta gameplay with the reusable gliders, balloons were frequently used to ascend high and then quickly glide over the map.
The balloon is more important than ever: Without the old gliders, many fans thought the days of the balloons were numbered, as they would be deathtraps without the reusable gliders. After all, you would inevitably fall to your death if the balloons eventually ran out of air.
However, many players overlooked that the balloon also reduces fall speed. Just one balloon is enough to completely negate the fall damage.
You can fall from any height and just before hitting the ground, “ignite” the balloon. Then you float down gently and without significant delay, taking no damage.
So make sure you always have a pack of balloons with you. Then you can fall as often as you want without worrying about damage.
If you have no balloons but can build well, this trick will also help you against fall damage:
The E3 2019 will have to go on without Sony next year. The Japanese company has now stated this in a statement. But what does this step mean for fans and players?
For 24 years now, the gaming industry has presented its innovations like upcoming games or new hardware annually in Los Angeles. However, in 2019, a major and traditional participant will be missing from the world’s most important gaming fair – Sony.
Sony cancels participation in E3 2019
This is what Sony says: Although the company is currently achieving record revenues with its PlayStation 4 console, Sony has now confirmed that it will not participate in E3 2019. In a statement, it says:
As the industry evolves, Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) is looking for original ideas to engage with the community. Playstation fans mean everything to us, and we always want to bring innovation, think differently, and experiment with new ways to inspire gamers.
That’s why we have decided not to participate in E3 2019. We are exploring new and familiar ways to work with our community and can’t wait to share our plans with you.
Sony also cancels another major event: This marks the second major event that Sony has canceled in recent months. Already in September, the chairman of Sony’s in-house game studio announced that there would be no PlayStation Experience in 2018.
This is an annual event for the video game industry held by Sony to showcase PlayStation games.
What does skipping E3 mean?
There is already extensive speculation about the reasons for the decision to skip E3. Two aspects are particularly hotly debated.
Sony does not have enough games to show: The reason cited for this year’s PlayStation Experience (PSX) cancellation was the argument that Sony simply does not have enough games to showcase at the event.
In this regard, Shawn Layden said: “Now that Spiderman is out, we are looking at games like Dreams or Days Gone for 2019. But we just don’t have enough to bring people together and stage an event somewhere in North America. We do not want to raise expectations and then not meet them.”
The SIE chief added: “This year we have made a lot of progress with our games.” However, there is not much that can be shared at this point regarding upcoming titles.
The same argument likely applies to E3 2019. Apparently, there is simply not enough to show. Because currently, there are six exclusive titles from Sony in development. These games include
The Last of Us 2
Days Gone
Ghosts of Tsushima
Death Stranding
Dreams
Concrete Genie
All six titles were already presented at E3 2018. Nothing truly new is known so far. And this very fact raises questions about the future of the PS4.
Is the PlayStation 5 coming in 2020?
Is Sony already focusing on the PlayStation 5? Because another widely circulated opinion is that Sony could already be concentrating on its next console, the PS5.
The cancellation of PSX and E3 2019, along with the obvious absence of other significant PS4 exclusive titles, is interpreted by many as yet another hint. Experts expect that the new console from Sony will be released in 2020.
And just about a month ago, Sony CEO Kenchiro Yoshida fueled the rumors of a soon-to-be successor to the PS4. In an interview with the Financial Times, the Sony chief stated: “What I can say at this point is that next-generation hardware is needed.” Yoshida did not want to confirm whether the next PlayStation console would be named PS5 – although that would be a logical choice.
As Sony stated during the E3 cancellation, they are looking for new ways to stay closer to the community. Possibly, Sony could present its next console at its own event.
Although new consoles were traditionally presented at E3, the PS4 was already unveiled at an event in New York. For fans and players, this could mean that they may already be able to enjoy a new console from Sony in 2020.
However, please note: While the indications are increasing, the matter has not been officially confirmed.
What do you think? Why did Sony cancel two such major events? Do you believe that we will be playing on the PS5 in 2020?

The prayers of many players have been answered: Brigitte has received a nerf on the PTR of Overwatch. However, the players are not entirely satisfied. Even many of her opponents are disturbed by the adjustment.
Brigitte nerf on the PTR: On November 15, early morning our time, a new patch was deployed on the Overwatch PTR. This brought buffs for Bastion and Co. but also a nerf for Brigitte, which is now upsetting players.
Since Brigitte’s release, the hero has been unpopular with many players. Opponents claim she is too easy to play and ruin the game by easily countering heroes like Tracer. Her entire kit is too strong for Overwatch.
Shields stop Brigitte, players are dissatisfied
What has changed? Not much has changed for Brigitte. Only one ability was adjusted, which now behaves differently. From the patch notes of the Overwatch PTR patch:
Shield Bash: Can no longer knock through barriers or stun targets behind barriers.
Many players, especially opponents of Brigitte, have wished for such an adjustment. Criticism of the heroine has been ongoing, and even a movement has formed advocating for Brigitte’s removal from Overwatch.
The reddit user AndyGMB showed in a short clip how Brigitte’s new shield bash works and how it is blocked by barriers from Reinhardt or Winston.

What disturbs the players? However, the change does not come to the satisfaction of the players. Criticism of Brigitte’s new shield bash even comes from those who advocated for this nerf.
What particularly bothers the players is the inaccuracy with which the shield bash now works. Some points are mentioned particularly frequently:
Brigitte’s movement continues after hitting a barrier.
There is no visible or audible indicator when her shield bash has been blocked.
It feels random whether Brigitte stuns a target partially behind a shield.
Even the coach of the professional team Dallas Fuel from the Overwatch League, Justin “Jayne” Conroy, has commented on this on Twitter. According to him, it is a “poor” implementation:
[…] it feels like a terribly inconsistent and poor change. If shields can block a stun, then they should also block movement… and this should also apply to Doomfist’s meteor strike.
Testing is still ongoing: The changes have only just been deployed on the PTR, which is exactly meant to find such issues. The colleagues from Overwatch Central even see it positively that Blizzard “just did it”.
If more players test such changes, a suitable adjustment can be found more quickly. And trolls, who make the community believe that Brigitte will really be removed from Overwatch, have less fodder.
Dragon Hound is a new MMO from Korea where you ride horses and attack dragons with cannons. This curiously resembles a mix between World of Tanks and Monster Hunter.
What is Dragon Hound? At the Korean game fair G-Star 2018, a curious new project called Dragon Hound was presented. The PC game using the Unreal Engine 4 comes from the developers devCat, who are also responsible for the Mabinogi games.

Dragon Hound is a game where you set out on a horse from rolling fortresses to hunt monsters in a team with other players.
Gun Horses Against Dragons
Horses with Howitzers: First gameplay videos from G-Star show a pretty bizarre picture. Your heroes are riding on horses. However, the steeds are heavily armored and equipped with weapons from the World War I era.
In the video, the player has strapped a heavy tank gun to his horse. Other players carry huge chainsaws.
“World of Warhorse”: Originally, Dragon Hound was supposed to take place in a medieval era, and players would have fought against monsters as mounted archers. However, according to the developers, the meager bows would have appeared ridiculous against the gigantic beasts.

Therefore, the technology level was moved to the early 20th century, and heavy artillery was placed on the horses.
This makes the gameplay somewhat reminiscent of a fast-paced World of Tanks or the post-apocalyptic vehicle spectacle Crossout.
You cannot dismount your steed, making you a kind of heavily armed centaur, as one developer noted. By the way, you can upgrade your horse as well as your weapons.
This was the original design concept for Dragon Hound.
Monsters to Hunt: The battles are fast-paced and thrilling. As seen in one video, players gallop around nasty dragon creatures that are brutally shot up with relentless fire.
Later in development, players will even be able to target specific body parts and even internal organs of particularly large monsters as professionals.
Boss creatures are said to be truly gigantic and even larger than in Monster Hunter. As in Monster Hunter, you should be able to gather valuable resources from dead creatures.
New Monsters Every Week: Your base is a city built on a massive tank chassis. It rolls through the game world and is in a new area every week. Therefore, new monsters that need to be hunted are supposed to appear regularly.
In total, there will be about 30 different monster species.
No PvP, but Mega Raid: For game modes, there will initially only be PvE. PvP modes are currently not planned. However, there will be an extremely challenging raid for endgame players. The battle against the large monsters is said to last about 15 minutes.
Rare, powerful items are simply part of MMOs. But some are truly unique. Would you ever use them?
Anyone who wanders the vast worlds of MMOs has surely collected thousands of items. Many of them are junk that goes straight to the next vendor. But some items are unique. This is especially difficult with items that you can never acquire again because the quest is a one-time fulfillment or the source of the item simply no longer exists in the game.
Can you part with such items? Will you ever make that decisive click and use them?
The Elixir Phenomenon
Many gamers call it the “Elixir Phenomenon”, which dates back to the early titles of the “Final Fantasy” series. Here, the Elixir was a rare consumable item that, when used, restored not only the hero’s hit points but also their mana completely.
The problem is: Many players regarded the Elixir as so valuable that they would never use it. The thought constantly in the back of their minds was:
“Maybe there will someday be a bigger emergency when I still need it!”
Of course, that bigger emergency never occurs, and most players end their playthrough with several dozen Elixirs in their inventory that were never used.
Cortyn says: Especially in World of Warcraft, I am very stingy with items that have a limited number of charges or are unique, such as those obtained through a quest.
I’ve had the “Light of Elune” in my inventory for definitely over 12 years. This is a potion that makes the user completely immune for 10 seconds. Will I ever use this potion? Absolutely not!
The same goes for the costumes that can be farmed during the Hallow’s End event. Here, I travel for hours through the whole world just to buy a costume that can, in theory, transform me into Deathwing or Grommash 50 times for one hour each. But since there are only 50 charges, of course, I can’t use them… because there will surely be a better time.
But now it’s your turn! What items do you own that are just too valuable to ever use? Or do you not have such items and just throw them away immediately?
This is an AI-powered translation. Some inaccuracies might exist.
One of the founders of Blizzard, Allen Adham, says in an informal interview that they tried to complete news for Diablo 4 or a game of the main Diablo line. This leads to new speculations.
What exactly does Allen Adham say? In an interview with GameDaily.biz, one of the Blizzard founders, Allen Adham, commented on Diablo. However, this was still during the informal part of the interview.
The interviewer regretted that there was no announcement for a main Diablo game.
Blizzard founder Allen Adham then said: “We tried.”
Without a demo of Diablo 4, no announcement?
What does that mean? Adham did not elaborate further on this statement. However, the interviewer deduces that there was likely a last-minute delay of a demo version of Diablo 4 or another main Diablo game.
The reasoning behind this is that Blizzard usually only presents new things at BlizzCon that are already playable on the convention floor. This was the case with Overwatch at BlizzCon 2015, where attendees could already play 12 of the 21 launch heroes of Overwatch.
Therefore, Daily.biz believes that the demo version of Diablo 4 might have been delayed, and that is why there wasn’t an announcement: Without something playable at the convention, Blizzard did not want to present anything.
Instead of cheers for Diablo, there was a scandal at BlizzCon 2018 when Blizzard introduced the mobile game “Diablo Immortal”. The BlizzCon attendees were largely disappointed by the announcement.
Daily.biz believes, however, that it can’t be long now until information about Diablo 4 comes out. This also fits with Blizzard’s statement: “Good things take time, but bad things often take a little longer.” (via Blizzard)
These hints were also given: The site Kotaku reported shortly after the Diablo Immortal debacle that Blizzard had filmed a video with Allen Adham about Diablo 4. This was supposed to be shown at BlizzCon and announce Diablo 4. The video was reportedly supposed to come after the presentation of Diablo Immortal.
Allegedly, Diablo 4 has been in the works for years but has undergone some directional changes.
This was reported to Kotaku by two sources.
Blizzard denied this: There was no video planned for BlizzCon that was not shown.
Where do we stand now? Adham’s statement, “We tried” now suggests again that Blizzard indeed had another Diablo news in mind for BlizzCon than what actually occurred. At least at some point, Blizzard might have planned differently.
However, it seems clear that even before BlizzCon it was known that they would not succeed, even though they were working hard on it.
On November 27, Season 5 of Destiny 2 begins. With its launch, the Gambit mode will receive some adjustments aimed at making it more appealing.
Recently, the creators of Destiny 2 revealed some information about the future of Gambit during a live stream for the Bungie Bounty. In the current “This Week at Bungie” blog, the studio has now announced more interesting details about the upcoming Gambit changes that players can look forward to when Season 5 begins.
These improvements are intended to make Gambit more appealing in Season 5
With the start of Season 5, several changes will be made to Gambit. Bungie designer Robbie Stevens has now presented them in the current TWaB blog. For this, community reactions and feedback have been closely examined. Based on this, the following adjustments will be made:
The Gambit bounties will be improved: Initially, the Infamy points for all bounties will be doubled. This way, you will rank up faster as you successfully complete these tasks.
Additionally, the requirements for numerous daily and weekly bounties as well as daily challenges have been revised. They are intended to take less time and be easier to complete in Season 5.
Furthermore, starting November 27, a completely new bounty will be added to the daily rotation. Currently, it is only known that this bounty will require kills of the Invader. More specific information has not yet been provided.
Infamy rewards will be improved: The ranking system in Gambit is called Infamy and consists of the following six tiers:
Guardian
Brave
Heroic
Famous
Mythic
Legendary
However, the ranks from Guardian to Mythic are split into three tiers per rank. The tiers should provide players with more short-term goals, including rewards that can be quickly achieved, instead of grinding for several weeks. However, the rewards have been anything but worthwhile until now.
Starting November 27, these tiered rank-ups are set to reward legendary Gambit weapons and armor pieces. According to Bungie, the time of blue items as rewards will then be over.
Ascendant Invader finally fixed: There is a nasty bug in Gambit that causes if you take down your Invader, the final boss of Gambit, first, the victory still credits to the opposing team. Although this issue has been addressed by the developers, it still occurred for some Guardians afterward.
This annoying phenomenon is expected to be a thing of the past with the start of Season 5. According to Bungie, the bug has now been definitively resolved so that it no longer ruins the fun for Guardians in Gambit.
Invader catch-up mechanic: In the Bungie Bounty stream, the studio has already hinted at revising this catch-up mechanic. In its current form, the system is anything but popular among Guardians. In the eyes of many fans, the mechanic gives the trailing team too much of an advantage.
With this system, both teams receive a buff when fighting the Invader. The size of the buff for the trailing team depends on how far they are behind. It is particularly easier for dedicated teams to win when trailing, by saving their power ammo and supers and invoking the final boss later.
The developers have now announced how the specific change will look: Teams that summon the Invader second can only receive one “catch-up” stack of the “Invader Slayer” buff. Previously, the trailing team received several stacks. The number of stacks depends on how far they were behind.
To provide an example: If the leading team received seven “Invader Slayer” stacks, then the trailing team received four. In Season 5, they will only receive one.
Pinnacle weapon for Gambit: During the Bungie Bounty on November 12, Bungie’s Senior Sandbox Designer revealed that there will be a dedicated pinnacle weapon for the Gambit mode in Season 5. So far, no further details have been provided.
However, it is highly likely that it will be a weapon comparable to Redrix’s Claymore, Luna’s Howl, or Not Forgotten. Because these top weapons from PvP have also been referred to as pinnacle weapons by the studio.
By the way: To appropriately celebrate the currently ongoing Season 4 in Gambit, there will soon be increased Infamy points:
From 6 PM on November 20 to 6 PM on November 23, there will be double Infamy in Gambit
From 6 PM on November 23 to 6 PM on November 27, you will receive triple Infamy points there
What do you think of this change list? Is it enough to make the mode more appealing to you? Or do you think further changes are necessary?
In Fallout 76, nuclear missiles are an endgame feature. The bombs are meant to give high-level players something to do. The first nukes have already dropped in the game and have shown what can happen in Fallout 76.
This is how the first bomb fell since release: YouTuber Nickaroo93, shortly after the release of Fallout 76, launched the first nuclear missile on West Virginia with some of his friends. The result was a map-wide raid.
Hard bosses and loot for everyone
What happened? Nickaroo93 obtained a complete launch code for one of the nuclear missiles found in Fallout 76. With this code, he blew up a location in West Virginia just hours after the release of Fallout 76.
A raid boss in the open world: The group chose one of the “tears” that can be found in the game as their target. Tears are dangerous areas where the strongest opponents of Fallout 76 reside, the Scorchbeasts.
Scorchbeasts are flying creatures that resemble grotesque bats and are the reason for the Burnt plague they spread. They are even stronger than the iconic Deathclaws. The Verge describes them as “post-apocalyptic dragons.”
After the nuclear missile strikes in the tear, the entire area is engulfed in radiation and a level 95 elite Scorchbeast Queen appears, along with the event “Burnt Land.”
This is essentially a raid in Fallout 76. Nickaroo93 recorded it all on video.

Intense fights but good loot: The battle against the Scorchbeast Queen lasted over 20 minutes and attracted many players who helped the group. In the end, around a dozen players in power armor were swarming around to kill the Queen.
The Scorchbeast Queen has cost several players their lives multiple times and sparked creative ideas. They even considered moving their C.A.M.P. to bombard her with turrets.
Ultimately, they managed to bring the Queen down multiple times and kill her there. The players were rewarded with Ultracite gear.
Ultracite is currently the strongest material in the game. However, they did not have peace afterward: more level 50 and above Scorchbeasts were waiting in the area to avenge the death of their Queen.

Fortnite: Battle Royale is having issues with the new Mounted Turret. Therefore, it got nerfed after just a few hours. However, there are still many other issues.
What can the new Mounted Turret do?The Turret (Mounted Turret) is a new legendary “trap” in Fortnite. You place the turret like a trap on a ground piece and then get in. With the turret, you can fire without running out of ammo, but eventually, the turret overheats and needs to cool down briefly.
The turret deals about 40 damage per hit and is ideal for defending fortifications. Especially in the new Food Fight mode, the turrets are ubiquitous.
The new turret is way too strong
What is the problem with the turret? The Mounted Turret is a completely new weapon in the game and promotes different tactics. It is nearly impossible to break in direct combat and had to be neutralized through flanking attacks or snipers. In solo mode, this was particularly difficult.
This is what Epic has done: To make the turret somehow destructible, Epic released a hotfix on November 15, 2018. The lightning patch reduced the turret’s hit points from 800 to just 400.
The formerly indestructible turret base was reduced from 5,000 to just 1,000 hit points.
Double turret is the new double shotgun!
There is an even worse bug: The hotfix was supposed to solve the obvious problems with the turret, but there is an even worse issue with the new item. Pro streamer Ninja found out that you can practically shoot indefinitely with the turret.
The continuous fire turret exploit: In a video, Ninja simply places two turrets side by side. As soon as one overheats, he quickly hops over to the second turret and continues firing happily while turret 1 cools down.

When the second turret starts glowing, Ninja simply switches back to the first turret.
Like back in the days with the double pump shotgun: This trick clearly reminds of the infamous double shotgun move that caused a lot of fuss in the early days of Fortnite.
Back then, the long reload time of shotguns was circumvented by quickly switching from one shotgun to another instead of reloading.
Is the next nerf coming soon? Epic prevented this to the dismay of all double pump fans by implementing a delay in weapon switching. It is very likely that such a restriction will come soon for the turrets.
Until then, you should keep a close eye when you see multiple turrets in a row.
To celebrate its 14th anniversary, World of Warcraft is unleashing many world bosses. There’s also a new toy!
Currently, there is a small “holiday event” taking place in World of Warcraft, as World of Warcraft celebrates its 14th birthday. From November 16 to November 29, lasting almost two weeks, there are several bonuses and unique opportunities to get cool transmog gear. This should bridge the time until the release of Patch 8.1 Tides of Vengeance …
For 2 weeks, the nightmare dragons return.
XP and Reputation Bonus: Anyone logging into World of Warcraft should first head to a mailbox. There awaits a package from the developers, enticing with a fancy buff. During the event, the character receives 14% additional XP – but also 14% additional reputation! Those looking to unlock Allied Races should take advantage of these two weeks, as the buff even exceeds that of the Darkmoon Faire.
Llore has a lot of stuff to offer for time-warped badges.
New Toy: New in 2018 is the toy Overly Adjusted Corgi Goggles for 200 Time-Warped Badges. The goggles have a cooldown of 10 minutes and ensure for 30 minutes that all players and NPCs look like cute little corgi dogs! Otherwise, the rewards are identical to those of the previous year.
The Nightmare Dragons and Kazzak: Just like last year, a handful of old world bosses that were relevant to Classic will spawn during the celebrations. These bosses can not only drop solid loot with item level 355, but they also have some very special items that can be used for transmog. Some of these models have not been available since Classic, so all transmog fans can now complete their collection.
Where to find the rewards? You can find the quests and vendors for the birthday rewards either in the castle of Stormwind (Alliance) or in the Valley of Spirits of Orgrimmar (Horde). There you’ll find not only a vendor but also a daily trivia question that rewards Time-Warped Badges, as well as a quest for killing the old world bosses.
Keep in mind that you only have two weeks to grab all these activities. The next opportunity will not come until next year.

In the latest live stream about Anthem, the developers first revealed the customization options for your character. You have extensive options for each of the four Javelin suits.
The customization of the Javelins in the stream: There was again a live stream for the shared-world shooter Anthem. Bioware seems to have picked up the pace, as early November already showcased new gameplay for the Storm Javelin.
This time, however, the focus was completely on the customization of the 4 Javelin classes. The extensive options range from the color and look of your parts to the condition and material of the Javelin.
These are the options you have for customizing your Javelin
The possibilities to visually modify your Javelin are quite extensive. You can customize the various parts and areas of your suits individually.
For almost every area of your suit, there are various options available. You can determine material and color almost down to the smallest detail. Colors can be mixed entirely on your own. Each part, like the helmet or legs, has different variants that can be freely combined.
These options are available for all Javelins:
Helmet
Arms
Chest
Legs
Color
Logos
Condition of the Javelin (Old, dirty, new, clean, etc.)
You will also be able to change the color of the visor in the finished game.
Can logos be created? No, logos are one of the few exceptions that you cannot freely edit.
Can the various designs be saved? With so many options, it can take a while to customize your Javelin. Therefore, you can save all your customizations in loadouts.
This way, you can freely combine and change your appearance without deleting a complex design.
You can check out how it all works in the video from the stream itself. You even get a glimpse of the N7 skin from the Mass Effect series. Additionally, you can see the first emotes available with the Ranger Javelin.
Keep in mind: Not everything you see in this video will be available at the start of the finished game.

Bethesda’s online game Fallout 76 has been criticized since its announcement, especially heavily since its release. What went wrong? Our author Andreas says: Fallout 76 has made a critical mistake.
Is Fallout 76 really bad or is this just the frustration of disappointed Fallout fans who expected something different? Is perhaps Bethesda itself to blame for the whole mess?
An online game from a single-player studio
Why was even the announcement criticized? Bethesda is known for single-player games like The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, Fallout 3, and Fallout 4. Although there exists an MMORPG based on a Bethesda franchise, The Elder Scrolls Online, this was developed by Zenimax Online.
When Fallout 76 was announced at E3 2018, it raised some eyebrows because a studio known for single-player stories was now making an online game.
Moreover, Bethesda had chosen the Fallout series to enter the online gaming market.
Fallout is known for:
Stories about the lone wanderer
The feeling of loneliness in the post-apocalyptic world
Diverse and multi-layered quests
Interesting NPCs
A dark scenario supported by the quests, stories, and NPCs
Now establishing an online game in the Fallout universe, loved by single-player fans, is extremely difficult. It was to be expected that a “Fallout Online” would be criticized. Marketing was therefore crucial. But it was at this point that Bethesda made a major mistake.
https://youtu.be/M9FGaan35s0
Bethesda wants to reach everyone
What mistake did Bethesda make? Bethesda is a studio known for successfully launching games.
For Fallout 76, Bethesda expected similar results. But how do you reach the broadest possible audience with an online game with such a large fan base that actually expects another single-player game and can celebrate great successes with high sales numbers in the early days?
Bethesda wavered for a long time. There was no clear statement about what Fallout 76 should be.
Fallout 76 was essentially supposed to be an online game
It was also said that even single-player fans could have fun
Although there would be no NPCs in Fallout 76, there would still be quests with a story
Open PvP for Fallout 76 was announced, but with heavy penalties for “griefers” and significant restrictions
While survival elements were supposed to play a role, they weren’t really important
What is Fallout 76 now? After release, it became clear that Fallout 76 is essentially “Fallout Online”. An online spin-off where the focus is on multiplayer elements. Group play is the priority.
Particularly single-player fans, who expected something like “Fallout 4.5 with friends” from Bethesda’s statements, are disappointed. It is not only the players who express disappointment, but also the press is saying (via GameStar), that it is precisely the story aspect and the quests that disappoint in Fallout 76.
The fact that there are no NPCs and they have been “replaced” by audio recordings leads to a Fallout that plays and feels different from previous installments. Because NPCs were indeed an important factor in the games. And they are now missing.
Furthermore, similar quests without real story highlights and the absence of decisions during the story have been criticized. These are the things that single-player fans value highly.
As a result, Fallout 76 doesn’t really target single-player fans or at least only to a very minor extent. The entire single-player aspect feels tacked on.
Who is the game aimed at then? Fallout 76 is an online game that marks Bethesda’s entry into the realm of Games as a Service. Accordingly, fans of online games are the primary target audience. And they do not find the game bad at all. On the contrary, they express positive sentiments towards it.
Especially those who enjoy survival games and previously had no connection to Fallout can get excited about Bethesda’s game. And this shows what Fallout 76 is and who it is aimed at: a new audience of online/survival players.
This is also evident in the community ratings on Mein-MMO.de. On a site that primarily caters to online fans, relatively high ratings are given.
A clear statement would have been important: To somewhat mitigate the shitstorm and the many negative ratings on Metacritic, it would have been necessary to make a clear statement about what Fallout 76 really is. Players want to know what they are getting into and what they should invest their money and time in.
By this “waffling” Bethesda has not done itself any favors. Because now, after launch, it is clear what kind of game Fallout 76 is. Single-player fans who felt attracted feel fooled. And they are expressing this frustration by heavily criticizing the game online.
A rescue plan is needed
Can Bethesda still save Fallout 76? When filtering out the positive voices from the community, it seems that Fallout 76 is a good online/survival game with potential.
And this is exactly what Bethesda should focus on now. It is rather unlikely that single-player fans will calm down so much that they will come to appreciate Fallout 76.
Therefore, Bethesda should focus on the following:
Enhancing the online aspect and group play
More group events
More PvE group content
Fewer or no quests for solo players
Further development of the survival aspect
Faction PvP
More options for base building in a group
This is how Bethesda should react: Bethesda should move away from trying to appeal to single-player fans with Fallout 76. Because they expect something completely different.
Insisting that single-player fans can also enjoy the online game would likely be the wrong approach. Because Fallout 76 shows that it cannot reach the level of quests and story that the single-player titles in the series do.
Bethesda needs to focus on the players who enjoy Fallout 76 and offer new content for them. Then the title can exist as a spin-off alongside the main series and potentially be successful.
Furthermore, Bethesda should now also recognize how important single-player titles are to fans and truly focus on that aspect in upcoming games like Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6, without online experiments. Such a marketing mistake will surely not be forgiven by fans a second time.
Together with the Hatching Marathon, Pokémon GO also released new Offer Boxes. We tell you whether the purchase is worth it.
As with every event, Niantic also published new Offer Boxes for the Hatching Marathon. These boxes once again include discounts on items available for purchase in the shop.
Focus on Incubators: This time, the emphasis is primarily on incubators in the boxes. These fit perfectly with the 2km eggs that should be hatched during the event.
We took a look at the boxes for you and will tell you what’s inside and whether purchasing a box is worth it for you.
These items can be found in the boxes
This is how the calculation was made: To determine the savings in the boxes, the individual price of items in the shop was not considered. The item price in an 8-pack was taken and compared to the price of the box.
Who is this box worth it for?: The box is ideal for beginners who do not want to spend much money on Pokémon GO. Especially the combination of raid passes and incubators is great for this box. However, this box is not suitable for players who spend money on the game.
Who is this box worth it for?: The box offers a good deal. However, one must consider that the Hyperbox only costs 700 coins more and offers a better deal. If someone does not want to spend more than 780 coins, they can buy this one. But if someone invests in the game, they should consider buying the Hyperbox.
Who is this box worth it for?: This Hyper Box is a great deal again after a long time! Perfect for the Hatching Marathon, you will find enough incubators in the box. The lure modules are ideal for the cold winter days to sit in a café with lure modules. If you want to invest, you should do it with this box.
Conclusion on the Offer Boxes
Overall, the Offer Boxes are a good deal and far better than the boxes from previous times. Those who want to invest money in the game will be well served with these boxes, as they offer a complete package of the most important items.
Ideal for the event: The many incubators are perfect for hatching the event eggs. This way, you can collect enough candies for all Pokémon that have received an evolution in the 4th generation.
Saving incubators: If you don’t like putting 2km eggs in purchased incubators, you can also just collect them for now. In the 4th generation, more baby Pokémon will come to you that will likely only be hatched from eggs.
Bungie has now revealed the first official information about Season 5 – the Season of the Forge – and the next DLC, Black Armory. We show you what players can expect in the near future around Destiny 2.
The Season of the Lawless, that is Season 4, will end on November 27, 2018. But what comes next for Destiny 2? When does the new Season 5 start? And when will there finally be more information about the first upcoming Annual Pass DLC Black Armory?
Bungie has now revealed this in their current “This Week at Bungie” blog.
Season 5 in Destiny 2 – What is known
When does Season 5 start? As the studio announced, the Season of the Forge will directly follow the end of Season 4. The new season starts on November 27, 2018, and will be ushered in with Update 2.1.0. Some fans speculated that Season 5 could start on December 4, but that is apparently not the case.
When will Black Armory come out? The leak by AntumTheNine has once again proven to be true. Although Bungie did not elaborate on the first premium DLC for Annual Pass owners, an update from the official US Blizzard shop has confirmed that Black Armory will be released on December 4, 2018.
Since Season 5 starts a week earlier, there will be exactly like with the launch of Forsaken a transition period of one week, during which Destiny 2 will be in a transition phase.
The content of Black Armory is supposed to be delivered throughout Season 5 until March 4, 2019. According to the official store description, it includes:
Access to Black Armory
New activity “Lost Forges”
New raid
Exotic weapons
Quests
Triumphs and collections
When will more information about the new Season of the Forge come out? On November 27, at the start of Season 5, Bungie plans to release a ViDoc as well as a complete gameplay calendar that will illustrate how year 2 will continue for you.
They will address all three upcoming seasons that will take place in the second year of Destiny 2. What will each season offer the players? What content does the Annual Pass contribute? These are only some of the questions Bungie aims to answer.
What exactly will be reset with the start of Season 5? Guardians who want to complete seasonal triumphs from Season 4 have until November 27 to do so. With the weekly reset, the Season of the Forge begins on that day. Then ranks will be reset and unfinished triumphs from the Season of the Lawless will expire.
(Source: @saboe627 on Twitter)
The following will be reset:
Nightfall rank
Valor rank
Glory rank
Infamy rank
All unfinished triumphs or quest steps that require completing specific goals in a season
All unfinished triumphs titled with Season 4 will expire. These will be completely removed at the beginning of Season 5
The following will not expire:
Quests for the pinnacle Crucible weapons from Season 4 – that is Redrix’s Claymore, Lunas Howl, and Not Forgotten. If you have the quest in your inventory, it will not be removed
If you are on a step that requires a certain rank or number of rank resets within a season at the time of the reset, that progress will be lost! However, the quest will remain at that step and can be continued and completed in Season 5
All triumph or quest steps that require goals to be met during any season will remain intact
By the way: You still have until November 27 to relatively easily secure the first heavy machine gun in Destiny 2 – the Thunderlord.
Those waiting for an Overwatch boy band might see their dream fulfilled soon. Five male heroes can sing in the game.
Time and again, the developers of Overwatch hide many small details in their patches. These Easter eggs are sometimes only discovered weeks or months later, but this time it happened quickly. On the map Busan, there are new interactions for the heroes Genji and Zenyatta, who can now try their hand at singing.
Where do they sing? One of the spawn rooms on Busan is a karaoke bar, like the thousands found in South Korea. A few of the characters can actually step up to the microphone and start singing a few lines after a few seconds. With the patch currently on the PTR, Genji and Zenyatta follow suit.
Genji is hard to understand and probably only something for native Japanese speakers. Aside from his request for everyone to sing and dance, only Japanese is understandable.

These heroes also sing: Genji and Zenyatta are not the only heroes who can sing a tune. In previous patches, Reinhardt had already sung a bit, and shortly after, McCree and Torbjörn followed.

McCree only gives out a few lines and sounds more like he doesn’t know the lyrics very well. But that doesn’t matter because, according to his own words, he is more into country music.

The latest update of Guild Wars 2 brought a major overhaul of the runes and sigils. However, instead of improving the balance, it has caused unintended interactions. These must primarily be dealt with by the necromancer players.
What went wrong with the patch? During the overhaul of the runes and sigils, the Rune of Refuge was also changed. Its sixth bonus now ensures that players receive a barrier (shield above the hit points) equal to 20% of the healing they cause.
This led to an unintended synergy with the necromancer’s life stealing.
A necromancer was able to permanently generate smaller barriers with simple auto-attacks. With a special trait from the specialization Pestbringer, he automatically gained power for each barrier and removed conditions. This caused problems primarily in PvP.
ArenaNet nerfs the necromancer: As developers, they could have adjusted or disabled the rune. Instead, ArenaNet chose to change the Pestbringer with a hotfix.
They gave the trait “Rolling Pebbles” a cooldown of five seconds. Thus, the Pestbringer only gains power and condition removal at fixed intervals.
Reactions of players to the hotfix
Did the community expect this? Just shortly after the interaction became known, players joked on Reddit that ArenaNet would definitely nerf the necromancer instead of adjusting the rune. Over the past few years, necromancer players have already had to endure some strange nerfs.
After the hotfix was released, the community initially reacted with mockery and scorn.
The problem with the change: The Reddit user Lazarus-TRM has taken a more analytical approach. He particularly criticizes that ArenaNet is weakening a trait that worked flawlessly until the change of another content and was also important.
This trait was part of a support Pestbringer build, which was used in the raids of Guild Wars 2. He also suspects further negative interactions with the Rune of Refuge, which could be best resolved by adjusting the rune.
This change was one of many balance mistakes that ArenaNet has made recently:
Crafting is a central element in Fallout 76. There are countless materials. How to find them and what tips you might need can be found in this guide.
Who doesn’t know that? You want to repair your weapons or equipment in Fallout 76 or build a camp with friends, and you’re missing the required material.
Often it’s simple things like glue or aluminum that are missing. Here’s how to find the material for your equipment.
[toc]
The most important materials and where to find them
This guide focuses on particularly important junk that you will likely need often for your equipment. Some of you may remember Fallout 4, as it often lacked the same materials.
How to find glue
Glue is one of the most frequently needed materials in Fallout 76. Your main sources will primarily be tape, rolls of tape, and super glue. You can find these items in almost every workshop. You can also craft glue from plant starch. For plant starch, you will need
Like glue, aluminum is one of the most important materials. You can mainly obtain aluminum from the following sources:
aluminum cans,
aluminum scrap,
surgical trays,
sensors
and toy rockets
You can find toy rockets primarily at Tyler County Fairgrounds, in the western forest area of Appalachia. You can often find aluminum scrap from destroyed robotrons. On our excursions, we passed through the town of Watoga in the southeast of Appalachia. There are plenty of robotrons there, but they are level 14 and higher.
How to find ballistic fibers
Ballistic fibers are especially important for higher-level armor and power armor. They are quite rare. The best sources for these are US Army ammunition bags and other military equipment that you can find in places like Camp McClintock.
Camp McClintock is not the only camp in Appalachia, but it is also not far from the starting area.
How to find lead
Lead is commonly found but is often needed for ballistic ammunition. You can find lead primarily in ballpoint pens, paint cans, and improvised batteries. Here too, we recommend a trip to Watoga in the Cranberry Bog, as robotrons frequently drop lead scrap.
How to find leather
Leather is also one of the most frequently needed materials. Perhaps you even have trouble finding some. A useful tip: Go hunting. Animals provide hides, which you can process into leather. Additionally, you can obtain leather from teddy bears and baseballs.
How to find plastic
You will need plastic often, and it can be most easily obtained from the following items:
cigarettes
toothpaste
most toys,
some containers (antifreeze and coolant containers)
plastic trays
and boards
You can find most of these items everywhere, so keep your eyes open.
“Mark for search” is extremely useful. It shows you which item contains the required material.
How to find screws
If you’re lucky, you should never run out of screws. However, it can still happen that you have a permanent shortage of screws. You get them by recycling globes and cooktops. However, the most common sources are fans and typewriters. You can find most of these items in almost every building.
Mark needed materials: If you are looking for specific materials, you can mark them. This will always show you whether an item contains the materials you need or not. When you open the repair window, the corresponding option “Mark for search” will be displayed if you are missing materials.
The WP change of Pokémon in Pokémon GO is active. We show you which Pokémon have won and which have lost.
The changes of the values of Pokémon were announced on November 14 and have now been implemented. All Pokémon now have new battle points and modified defense and hit points.
Some Pokémon have benefited from the changes, while others have lost significantly. We tell you which Pokémon those are.
The winners of the WP changes
Niantic wanted to use this change to strengthen Pokémon that had weak defense and hit points. This means that classic attackers benefit from this change.
The glass cannons: Glass cannons benefit the most from the change, meaning Pokémon that had a high attack value but were also quickly defeated.
The defense and hit points of these Pokémon have been significantly increased. They can now deal up to 20% more damage before being defeated.
The following Pokémon are considered glass cannons:
Gengar
Absol
Banette
Noktuska
Scherox
Pinsir
Deoxys is now useful: Another beneficiary is the current EX-Raid boss Deoxys. This Pokémon has an enormous attack value but has always been quickly defeated, which made it rarely useful.
With the change, Deoxys gains 411 battle points and can also deal 34% more damage before being defeated. However, this does not turn it into a top attacker; it simply becomes more useful than before.
Big winner Kapilz: The plant and fighting-type Pokémon was always a solid substitute for Machomei. However, it has never surpassed the four-armed Pokémon. Since it now has over 200 more battle points and a higher hit point value, Kapilz now deals more damage per second than Machomei.
The starters: The starters in Pokémon GO also benefit from the changes:
Glurak now takes the place as the second-best fire attacker, Lohgock ranks third
The plant starter Gewaldro is now among the best plant attackers.
The water starters Impergator and Sumpex could become a solid alternative to Kyogre due to a community day, as they now both have good hit point values and survive longer in battle.
The losers of the WP changes
The losers mainly include the Pokémon that previously had a high hit point and defense value. These now lose many points in these values and thus also a lot of battle points.
The top defenders: The biggest losers are the best defenders Heiteira and Chaneira. They lose about a quarter of their endurance. Nevertheless, they remain the best defenders in the game, despite being easier to defeat now.
Snorlax & Letarking: These two Pokémon gain some hit points, but this only compensates for the lost defense points. The two are now also easier to defeat, although the difference is not as huge as with their pink friends.
Pokémon with high hit points: Other losers are Pokémon that generally have a high hit point value. These include, for example, Hariyama or Entei. They may not necessarily lose attack strength, but their competition is becoming larger and pushing them from their previous positions.
More facts about the changes
Most battle points gained: If you are wondering who gained the most battle points after the change, the answer is Deoxys. It can now achieve +411 battle points. Closely followed by Ninjatom. This Pokémon can now have nearly 400 battle points more than before.
These 10 Pokémon have gained the most battle points:
Deoxys (+411 WP)
Ninjatom (+378 WP)
Alola Digdri (+328 WP)
Starmie (+281 WP)
Magnetilo (+279 WP)
Gengar (+259 WP)
Zwirrklop (+256 WP)
Kapoera (+251 WP)
Magneton (+248 WP)
Alpollo (+247 WP)
Most battle points lost: On the other hand, Heiteira has lost the most battle points with -462 WP. It is also the Pokémon that has been weakened the most.
These 10 Pokémon have lost the most battle points:
Heiteira (-462 WP)
Chaneira (-214 WP)
Snorlax (-130 WP)
Rizeros (-121 WP)
Letarking (-117 WP)
Aquana (-43 WP)
Relicanth (-29 WP)
Rihorn (-28 WP)
Ho-Oh (-26 WP)
Stahlos (-25 WP)
Complete list: If you want to see a complete list of all Pokémon with their new battle points, check out this Google document created by trainers from the community.
No change in IV: Even though the values of Pokémon change, the IV of all Pokémon remains the same. You will still have the same IV on the Pokémon in your collection.

On Reddit, players of The Elder Scrolls Online are discussing the prices of items in the MMO’s Crown Store. Players express opinions both in favor of and against the current prices.
The Elder Scrolls Online is a Buy-To-Play MMO. Players need to purchase it only once and can then play it indefinitely. Those who want to buy cosmetic items and utility goods check out the Crown Store. However, the Crown Store is currently under scrutiny by players on Reddit after a player sparked a discussion about it.
“The prices of the Crown Store are too high”
The following points are criticized: Players are identifying several issues that particularly bother them.
In ESO, most of the special mounts are only available through the Crown Store or Crown crates. Players must pay real money for both. If someone wants to ride a special mount, they have no choice but to pay. However, with the Indrik, there is now a magical mount that can be earned in-game.
For the fact that the special mounts are almost exclusively found in the Crown Store, ESO charges quite a lot. Compared to the MMO giant WoW, ESO also has a much smaller selection of mounts and pets.
Players are annoyed that there are time-limited offers that disappear from the Crown Store after a certain period. While many other games in the industry also do this to increase the demand for an item, this does not justify ESO’s methodology.
The prices for houses are considered too high, as they offer no real benefit. Some players are also bothered that vampire and werewolf bites are sold in the Crown Store. Previously, these bites were something special, and players had to deliberately look for certain NPCs or ask another player to perform the bite. Now, anyone can buy them.
No player is forced to buy
The following is defended: Other players support ESO’s approach. Here is what they say in response to the criticism of other players:
Players are not forced to buy special outfits or hats. There are plenty of opportunities in-game to acquire nicely designed weapons and armor.
The prices for DLCs and chapters are reasonable. ESO does not charge excessively for new regions.
Like other games in the industry, ESO relies on an optional subscription, the sale of cosmetics, DLCs, and expansions. This is common practice and works very well. Additionally, players receive 1650 Crowns each month as part of their membership and full access to all DLC expansions.
Players can buy the desired items from the Crown Store for gold from other players. Ever since players could gift Crown Store items to other players, there have been dedicated communities for this.
ESO Plus members get the chance to buy a $30 mount
Way too expensive: Related to this topic, some players on Reddit are complaining about the exclusive ESO Plus deal of the month. This month, players have the opportunity to purchase a differently colored Dwemer mount for $30. Players do not take this well.
One player writes: “The mount should be free. I am not paying money for the privilege of paying even more money.”
Another comments: “I just started playing ESO recently. If there is one thing I dislike, it is the monetization of the game. In WoW, players can unlock more than 500 mounts just by playing. In ESO, almost everything comes from the Crown Store.”
In addition to new cosmetic content, ESO also regularly expands with new content. The latest major expansion, Summerset, takes a look at the culture of the High Elves.
