Challenge 1 – Build Structures
Super easy: This task is something every Fortnite player can do in passing. Really, everyone will eventually build 250 individual building parts. You will need about 2,500 resources for this and can do it in any number of matches.
Challenge 2 – Visit a Viking Ship, a Camel, and a Crashed Battle Bus
Easy to find: The Viking Ship is clearly visible on a mountain in the southwest. You can find the camel on the road west at the southern end of the desert region. The crashed Battle Bus is west of Lazy Links. Fortunately, you do not have to visit all three locations in the same match, which would have been quite difficult. You can find a guide to the locations of the Viking Ship, Camel, and Battle Bus here.
Challenge 3 – Search 7 Chests in Tilted Towers or Paradise Palms (Hard)
Annoying, but easy: It may take some time to open enough chests, but after a few rounds you should have opened them all.
Challenge 4 – Place Turrets in Different Matches (Battle Pass Only)
A last farewell from the turret? Those hoping for a removal of the turret in Season 6 will be disappointed. Because for this task, the turret must necessarily be present, and Epic won’t make this task impossible. But maybe the controversial turret will finally be removed next season?
Challenge 5 – Phase 1: Land at Lazy Links (Battle Pass Only)
Many landings required: Here, you need to land sequentially at Lazy Links, Snobby Shores, Lucky Landing, Lonely Lodge, and Salty Springs. It’s boring, but easy.
Lots of shooting: Here, you need to get a kill with a shotgun first. Then continue with an assault rifle. Finally, you must take down an opponent with a pistol. Do this preferably in a game mode with respawns.

The online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2 has recently entered beta and features fast travel just like the single-player mode. Unlike in the story, however, you do not have to unlock it. We have compiled where you can find fast travel and how to use it.
How to use fast travel in Red Dead Online
Unlinke in the single-player mode, fast travel in Red Dead Online is available from the beginning. However, there are some things you should keep in mind.
Where can you fast travel? You can find a form of fast travel via a signpost in the world. Interact with it to call up fast travel.
The fast travel signposts in RDO have the same icon as the stagecoach in single-player mode. The icon will also be displayed on the map, but you must be relatively close to the signpost for it to appear.
Select your destination: Simply interact with the signpost, and you will see the places you can travel to. The further you are from the respective location, the more expensive your travel will be. We show you how to quickly make money in Red Dead Online here.
Once you have selected your destination, you will be brought to the signpost at that location. After reaching rank 65 in the online mode, you can even set up a signpost at your camp.
Beware: If you still have pelts or carcasses on your horse, they will disappear when using fast travel.

In 2019, the long-awaited class Mystic is finally set to be playable. Moreover, Neowiz has announced new dungeons and a mysterious threat that poses a danger to players of both factions.
The Mystic class is finally playable
Fans of the MMORPG have been waiting for the Mystic since the Early Access release. In the other version of the MMO, the class was already playable. However, Neowiz decided not to implement the Mystic at launch to better adapt it to the revised combat system.
What can the Mystic do? The Mystic is the second healing class in the game. While the Paladin specializes in instant healing that restores a large amount of health points in one go, the Mystic focuses on healing over time.
Similarly, the damage output looks the same. Most of the Mystic’s skills deal damage over time to enemies. However, Mystics can also use skills that deal direct damage.
They wear light cloth armor and use a wand and a scepter as weapons. Their skills consume mana.
Bless will continue to be expanded with new content
To ensure that players can explore new areas in Bless in the future, Neowiz plans to regularly introduce new content next year.
Players will be able to brave new dungeons in 2019.

You would think that Fallout 76 has enough technical and gameplay issues to deal with. But now there’s trouble with the Power Armor Edition, the most expensive version of Fallout 76. What’s going on?
The Power Armor Edition is the largest and most expensive variant of Fallout 76. It comes with many contents, including a large power helmet and a travel bag. It was very popular with fans and was sold out multiple times in no time.
But now there is trouble with the travel bag, which Bethesda apparently made secret changes to. The bag was supposed to be made of canvas. The reality looks different.
Nylon instead of canvas – Bethesda secretly changes the bag’s material
What happened? The bag from the Power Armor Edition was actively advertised by Bethesda with the slogan: “West Tek travel bag made of canvas”. However, this excerpt no longer corresponds to the truth. A fan discovered that his bag is made of nylon. The owner was not pleased, after all, he had hoped for a high-quality canvas bag.
Therefore, he also contacted Bethesda directly through support to get to the bottom of the matter. The response from store support stated that canvas had simply been too expensive. Nothing could be changed about it afterwards.

The Reddit post by user Fethennor, who publicly revealed the contact with Bethesda’s support, went completely viral. At the time of this news, the post already has 124,000 upvotes and over 10,000 comments.

A team of people at Bethesda apparently believes that 500 units of a fake currency, which is only for purchasing microtransactions, in a game that is broken on all technical levels, is an acceptable response to falsely advertised content of a $200 special edition.
After the problems, bugs, and glitches of the past few weeks, fans are resigned and try to lighten the mood with humor and sarcasm. However, the sentiment seems to be finally gone for some parts of the community. Whether the two planned patches for Fallout 76 will improve the situation remains to be seen.

The servers of the MMORPG WildStar have been shut down. The colorful world of Nexus no longer exists.
Yesterday, on 28.11.2018, the last day for the MMORPG WildStar had arrived. As announced, this was the day when the servers for WildStar were to be shut down. And that is exactly what happened.
On the last day, Nexus was quite well visited. Many players returned for the final hours to stroll on the side of the Dominion or the Exiles across the planet, complete a few challenges, or simply spend the last hours with beloved friends.
5 minutes before the official end, there was a server message that can be translated as follows:
“This is your friendly reminder for COMPLETE DESTRUCTION in 5 minutes. We hope you enjoyed your stay and fulfilled your dreams here on the planet Nexus.”

How is the community reacting? At least on Reddit for WildStar, there is great sorrow, and many players talk about their pleasant experiences they had in the game, and that the farewell was tougher than initially thought. There are also rows of screenshots that take a melancholic look at the farewell.

With the new ray tracing technology, the upcoming MMORPG Justice Online will be significantly enhanced visually. An initial video shows how much ray tracing enhances the game’s graphics.
What is ray tracing? The current Geforce graphics card generation of the 20XX series uses hardware-accelerated ray tracing technology, which calculates light rays and their reflections physically correctly in real-time. This results in more realistic lighting in games and accurate reflections, such as in puddles, that mirror the surroundings.
Ray tracing is also used in the current online shooter Battlefield 5.
What does ray tracing bring to Justice Online?Justice Online is an upcoming Asian martial arts MMORPG by Neatease, which is based on the Wuxing novel “Treacherous Waters.” Neatease aims to graphically realize the picturesque Asian setting of ancient China as impressively as possible. Previous screenshots and videos have already looked stunning.
To add the finishing touch visually, Netease, in collaboration with graphics chip manufacturer Nvidia, employs ray tracing technology RTX. This makes the lighting even more intense and realistic, and especially the reflections create impressive scenes.

In a video, it can be seen how the surroundings are reflected in porcelain vases at a market stall. The metal dishes of a horse also accurately reflect the surroundings. The video shows comparisons between scenes with and without RTX.
Additionally, Justice Online, which is being developed by the creators of Revelation Online, is set to be the first game to support the so-called “Real-Time Ray-Traced Caustic Effects.” This means that even reflected light rays become a new light source that can illuminate the environment and create shadows.

The only unusual aspect of the game is the ISO perspective, which we in Europe associate with Diablo, but which is “normal” for MMORPGs in Asia.
Lost Ark will be fully complete at beta launch. The action MMORPG builds on proven ingredients and combines them into something great and good.
In doing so, Lost Ark offers a colorful mix of all possible styles and directions: Cowboys in a science fiction setting meet classic martial arts fighters or quirky fantasy demons.
The depth of an MMORPG meets the fast-paced play styles of hack’n’slash action MMOs.
What sets Lost Ark apart: Reports from South Korea indicate that Lost Ark is simply fun and a “full-featured MMORPG”: a game that has an incredible amount to offer.
Although many are skeptical here in the West because we find it hard to reconcile “ISO perspective” and MMORPG, Lost Ark is a hit in Korea.
Observers highlight three main points:
It is incredibly polished even in open beta, and feels rounded and coherent
For a Korean free-to-play game, the cash shop is surprisingly fair and subtle
Additionally, Lost Ark simply offers an incredible amount, especially in the endgame

The problem: For most of us, Lost Ark is still not playable. The MMORPG is only available in a South Korean open beta. It is not actually intended for us Westerners to participate.
It is the same problem as with Blade & Soul. That looked fantastic in the first trailers from Asia back in 2010. While we were still playing “WoW: Wrath of the Lich King” here, a new MMORPG era was beginning in South Korea.
However, Blade & Soul only arrived in Europe in 2016. By then, there was nothing left of the “next-gen look” and we were already stuck with new, good-looking titles like Black Desert.
Asian MMORPGs have since developed a reputation for arriving in the West only when it’s already far too late.
Isn’t there any way to play it? It is possible to play Lost Ark as a European via VPN and account purchases, but it’s not really welcomed.
Furthermore, Lost Ark is currently being overrun by foreigners in South Korea. Smilegate is currently trying to keep the Chinese away. After all, South Koreans are already complaining about extremely long waiting times.
For most players from the West, there is no option to play Lost Ark just yet. Only a few people are dealing with account purchases via dubious forums and VPN accounts. Moreover, the language barrier deters most others.
Smilegate is a big name in Asia thanks to the shooter “Crossfire.” The money is mainly made in South Korea and China. However, here in the West, they have very little experience.
But even in the best-case scenario, if Smilegate finds strong partners for publishing, it is likely to be 2020 before we can play Lost Ark in Europe. After all, the MMORPG is still in open beta and ports typically only begin with the release.
A comparable case is Black Desert. It started in July 2014 in South Korea in beta, and arrived here in the West on March 3, 2016. This would mean for Lost Ark that we could aim for approximately summer 2020 if everything goes optimally.
A port of Lost Ark to the West seems certain. But until it arrives, we will probably have to look enviously at South Korea, where they finally get the MMORPG that we have been waiting for years.
I certainly look over with some envy and already imagine how cool it would be to participate. I am already considering which of the classes I will play.
Horror look
Is there an alternative? As an alternative, Lost Ark could actually be preceded by “Project TL.” It strikes a similar chord as Lost Ark, but Project TL isn’t even playable in South Korea yet. However, it comes from NCSoft, a company with its own publishing arm here in the West.
Our author Schuhmann looks back at 2019. This will be heated with Anthem and The Division 2 right in the spring. Even though many are now waiting for Anthem, The Division 2 could ultimately be the more exciting game at launch, believes our author.
This is the current situation: Two blockbusters have already been announced for spring 2019 that hit a similar note:
Both games will bring demos and betas beforehand and are sure to dominate the headlines at the beginning of 2019. But currently, they are still largely unknown titles that hardly anyone has played.
The calm before the storm: It is quiet around both games. Ubisoft and Electronic Arts probably want to let the blockbuster season pass before they really start with the marketing campaigns.
Now in the thunderstorm between Red Dead Redemption 2, Call of Duty, and Battlefield 5, it seems wiser to save the ammunition until the smoke has cleared after Christmas.
It will probably heat up for both games in January.
Anthem and the allure of the new
Much interest in Anthem: I have been observing strong interest in Anthem among our readers for months. Just through Facebook, new bits of information and the trailers for Anthem receive numerous likes and comments.
We are also increasingly being asked to report more on Anthem.
There is a feeling among the readers: There must be more information that nobody has revealed to us yet. For some, there is a great need to start discussing Anthem in depth right now.
That’s why many are excited about Anthem: Anthem promises to combine the fast coop action of Destiny with the narrative depth of BioWare titles. Additionally, it offers a new, alien world.
Anthem radiates the allure of something new. It promises a fresh start. Anthem is a “fresh brand,” a new world.
Players have no concrete ideas of what to expect in Anthem, so Anthem is ideally suited to project their own desires onto the game.
It offers a blank canvas to envision the perfect game.
The Division 2 – the familiar quantity
The Division 2 is quite reserved: In contrast, many feel like they already know “The Division 2” somehow.
So far, only isolated and specific changes compared to The Division 1 have been noticeable. The Division 2 feels like the first game but with a new setting and only a few fresh ideas.
The interest in discussing The Division 2 seems surprisingly low. It feels like they already know everything and just have to wait until it actually starts.
The Division 2 does not offer a blank canvas like Anthem; instead, most people see The Division 1 in summer and in Washington.
However, there is still little known about The Division 2 in detail. And it is ultimately the details regarding progression mechanics, reward systems, and gameplay that determine how successful such an online shooter is.
It is already quite clear how Anthem will fare
The launch phase of Anthem seems clear already: Even though Anthem radiates the allure of the new, I currently feel like I can already see the news from February before my eyes.
Anthem will go through a rough release phase, just like all games of this magnitude before. Just like Destiny, The Division, The Elder Scrolls Online, WildStar, Fallout 76 now, or any other game where a studio transitions from a “normal game” to a “games-as-a-service”.
Every studio, no matter how many veterans it has, ultimately complains about being surprised by the transition and finding it much harder than initially thought to have a “live game” now and handle the new challenges.
Most online games do not resemble the game that fans actually hoped for at launch until a year after the release.
I think it will be the same with Anthem.
This will happen with Anthem:
Bugs, server problems, and lags will occur.
Players will complain about too little content.
The illusions that many had before will crumble because the “blank canvas” is no longer there.
That is not something bad or catastrophic. It is simply normality. It is part of the development cycle that every new online game and every new brand must go through.
The exciting thing about Anthem: How BioWare behaves after the first few weeks will be the exciting part and will determine whether Anthem has a great future ahead like The Elder Scrolls Online or whether it fades like WildStar. They are shutting down the servers in these weeks.
The interesting phase for Anthem will probably start only a few weeks after the launch, when it becomes clear how BioWare will handle the inevitable problems.
The Division with the more exciting launch phase
But how will it be with The Division 2? In contrast, the team from Massive has already gone through this process with the first part.

With the start of the new Season 5, Bungie has nerfed what is probably the best energy weapon in Destiny 2 – the Ikelos shotgun. Our author Robert thinks the nerf is good, but Bungie now has to deliver.
This is what the shotgun can do:The Ikelos shotgun has a unique perk that only exists on this weapon: Barrel-Extension. This perk caused you to deal significant bonus damage for 5 seconds after a melee attack.
Since the shotgun fires automatically, you could unleash a full magazine on the enemy in this short time span. It must be clearly stated that there is no other energy weapon in PvE content that even comes close to this damage output. Even with the nerf, this remains unchanged.
This is how Bungie nerfed the shotgun: After a melee attack, only the first three shots from the shotgun deal bonus damage, after which the Barrel-Extension perk is reset. To reactivate it, another melee attack is necessary.
This change has consequences:
The damage per second (DPS) decreases, and the weapon is no longer as potent as before
The automatic function of the shotgun has become more or less useless
You now even have to be careful not to fire too many shots that no longer benefit from the damage bonus. The crux of the matter is: Even with the nerf, the Ikelos shotgun will likely still be one of the best energy weapons in the game.
Even though weapons like the Lord of Wolves can now match in damage – it is exotic and dependent on its own perk, and the catastrophic ammunition management is not even taken into account. So what has changed? Nothing. Bungie has nerfed a strong weapon and made its handling more difficult for optimal performance.
That’s why the nerf of the Ikelos shotgun was still the right decision
That’s why only the Ikelos shotgun was used: No weapon performed the job as well as the shotgun from the Escalation Protocol. Enemies with yellow health bars and bosses melted away under the influence of the shotgun.
If at all, players only resorted to other weapons in very few situations. And that’s too bad. After all, Bungie has made this mistake before.

Valve released the card game Artifact on November 28, 2018. Just in time for the official release of Artifact, the developers released a trailer for the DOTA 2 card game.
What is Artifact? Artifact is a collectible card game (“Trading Card Game”, TCG for short) set in the universe of the MOBA hit Dota 2. Similar to Hearthstone heroes and spells from Warcraft, Artifact borrows the idea for the cards from Dota 2.
