How Ash saved Charmander and its flame on its tail
In the anime, Ash and his friends were traveling through a forest. On a rock sat a Charmander. Ash wanted to catch this Charmander as his friends noticed that the flame on Charmander’s tail was small.
However, Charmander did not want to be caught and fended off the Poké Balls.
This is why Charmander did not want to be caught: In hindsight, it turned out that Charmander was waiting for its owner, who left it there because it was too weak for him. Nevertheless, Charmander waited hopefully for its trainer.

In the online shooter Fortnite, leaks have been revealing information long before they go live. One of the biggest sites must now put an end to leaking. Epic explains why exactly. But somehow, it’s quite a mess.
Who makes money from Fortnite? An industry has emerged around the online game Fortnite. Not only does Epic make money from the game, but also content creators, toy manufacturers, journalists, some cheaters, and fan sites make their living or at least a part of it with Fortnite.
However, a part of this community exists in a sort of gray area: leakers and dataminers.
He’s just within the legal realm: Ninja
This is what leakers do: There are various leakers who analyze Fortnite’s code (“data mining”) and then reveal what players can expect before the content actually goes live.
For months, there has been a lively leaking scene around Fortnite, but the flow is slowly drying up. And apparently, Epic is keen to keep it that way.
This site is affected: As Eurogamer reports, the site “Fortnite BR Leaks” is now shutting down its Twitter account just before Christmas. The site has been quite successful – it had 243,000 followers on Twitter.
However, there is commotion about this closure. This is not a voluntary closure, but the site is likely following a cease and desist order issued by Epic that circulated on the internet.

This is how the leak site presents it: Staff of the site have stated that a lawyer from Epic Games asked them to close their social media accounts.
Subsequently, FNBRLeaks announced it would delete all social media accounts on Discord, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.
This cease and desist order is said to have been received by the leaker: Furthermore, a picture of a cease and desist order allegedly issued by Epic has circulated, accusing the person behind the site of having spoiled the game for millions of players and thus negatively affected it.
It doesn’t change the fact that the person behind the site is still a teenager.
The US site Variety has supposedly published this cease and desist order from Epic. It shows that the main goal is for the teenager to stop tampering with the code and the security measures that protect this code.

This is how the internet reacts: There was a lot of excitement around this action. Fans found it excessive that Epic responded so harshly against a site.

The site had promoted the sale of tools that allow modification of Fortnite and violate the terms of use.

What happens next with the site? The Twitter account is gone. The Instagram account and the site itself are still active. They apparently want to continue as a pure “news site”.
This is what it’s about: Epic has previously been tough on leakers and dataminers. They sued one for breaking the NDA and leaking secrets.
However, Epic seems to be focused on not generally taking legal action against leaks, but only against the sale of tools that modify Fortnite’s code. In the past, Epic has shown that they will take legal action to set an example.

That’s why the team leaders are so easy to defeat: There are several reasons why the team leaders should not pose a significant threat to any player:
The Pokémon of the team leaders are too weak: When I battle Spark in the Master League, he chooses Voltenso as his first Pokémon. This is a Pokémon from Level 2 raids. Where’s the difficulty? The other team leaders also fight with Pokémon that are simply weak.
The Pokémon of the team leaders are at low levels: Not only are the Pokémon generally weak, but they aren’t even at high levels. If I’m battling in the Master League with my strongest Pokémon, why is my opponent using Pokémon that are not even close to the same level?
The team leaders do not use shields: I can intercept my opponent’s charge attack twice in battle with a shield. But why can’t the team leader do that? Even then, the difficulty is nonexistent. Niantic makes it even easier for us players.
Always the same Pokémon: After two battles, every player knows which Pokémon the team leader uses and can easily counter them, especially thanks to our counter guide to the team leaders. You don’t even need strong Pokémon for this; just the right counters.
This is what I wish for from the team leaders: The team leaders should become harder to defeat. When I was able to test battles a few weeks ago, the team leaders were still significantly harder to defeat, and I even lost against them at times. I want that difficulty back.
The team leaders should use different Pokémon: Having changing Pokémon for the team leaders would make the battles more challenging. If they show up with different Pokémon each time, you won’t know which counters to use, and you will be surprised by your opponent.
Level up your Pokémon, team leaders: If the team leaders always choose the same Pokémon, at least let them be at a level close to mine. If I’m attacking with a level 40 Mewtwo, then the Zapdos opposite me should also be level 40. That would make the battle more interesting.
This is what Niantic neglects: I would find it cool if I could battle new Pokémon daily, or at least weekly.
The team leaders should also choose Pokémon that do not match their emblematic Pokémon. A Spark should not only use electric Pokémon but should also include ice or grass-type Pokémon to surprise me as an opponent.
Players mock team leaders
On Reddit, it has become a trend to defeat team leaders with the worst possible Pokémon. Only then do you truly see how weak the team leaders are. Niantic should see here that their feature is far too easy.
So easy is Blanche to defeat: The team leader of Team Wisdom, Blanche, is said to be the easiest team leader. However, not so easy that a player can defeat her with two starter Pokémon at level 1. The video on YouTube shows the feat:

This is what I think about PvP: These videos once again prove that the team leaders are far too easy to defeat. It cannot be that one can defeat a team leader in the Master League with Pokémon that do not even have 700 CP.
I would like the team leaders to become significantly harder. So that one can actually be proud when defeating a team leader. I have no problem with occasionally losing, but at this strength, the team leaders pose no challenge for me, and I lost interest after the third day.

For those who would like to stock up their supply of upgrade modules, the current Winter Event “The Dawning” is just the thing.
Especially Guardians with little playtime can stock up here faster than usual. Because during the Dawning, you can now essentially collect these coveted materials almost incidentally and with relatively little effort.
You have time until January 1st for this.
Here’s how it works: First, you should masterwork Eva’s Holiday Oven. To do this, you need to have baked each recipe at least once.
This reduces the Dawning Essence cost for each treat from 15 to 10, allowing you to make more cookies.
After that, you basically just need to engage in various activities to earn the corresponding ingredients for the pastries and then play hobby baker. Delivering the finished baked goods has proven to be an excellent additional source for upgrade modules.
If you deliver the treats, you will often be rewarded with the coveted modules in return. While the modules are not guaranteed with every delivery, reports suggest that getting 8-9 out of 10 deliveries is not uncommon.

The Winter’s Day has returned to Guild Wars 2. With it came a new activity for the MMORPG that players may already know from its predecessor, Guild Wars 1. The Secret Lair of the Snowmen is back and this time it comes as a raid.
What is the Lair of the Snowmen? With Winter’s Day 2018 came a significant new feature to the game. This is a raid instance for 10 players, at the end of which the snowman Frostie awaits the players.
Frostie was once built by players in Guild Wars 1. With the blessing of the goddess Dwayna, he brought winter’s joy to the people. Frostie was meant to show that warm friendship can arise even from cold snow.
But since the disappearance of the gods, Frostie’s heart has turned to ice, and Frostie defends his lair mercilessly against intruders.
How hard is the new raid? The developers have made it a bit easier for players in line with Christmas. There were complaints during the last raid instance that the content was too easy.
However, this is nothing compared to the Snowman raid: ArenaNet has lowered the difficulty even further.
So far, there have been no reports anywhere that the instance is unachievable. On Reddit, there are even some people who describe the Snowman raid as a perfect entry point, as the final boss Frostie has many abilities, none of which directly lead to the players’ deaths.
Unlike normal raids, even dead players can be resurrected. Moreover, shortly after the release, there were already groups that completed the instance with only 5 people or even fewer.
What rewards are available? Daily, you can earn an end chest through the raid, which can contain rare and new weapons. Additionally, there are 10 Winter’s Day gifts for every successful completion of the raid, in which you might find the new Toy Shell Infusion with a bit of luck.
This infusion can be applied to a piece of armor. Afterwards, your body will permanently transform into a wooden figure when wearing the piece of armor.
Other activities for Winter’s Day
With the return of Winter’s Day, the city of Lion’s Arch has been decorated for winter once again. Furthermore, there are plenty of activities that you can enter from there. The most important ones are:
Until when does Winter’s Day 2018 run? The Winter’s Day event began with the patch on December 11. It will remain in the game until Wednesday, January 2, 2019.
The Destiny 2 Dawning event has started. It’s time to create all sorts of different treats and let your friends taste them throughout the solar system. But what recipes are there? Where can you find the ingredients? And who gets the baked goods?
Since the weekly reset on December 11, winter has come to Destiny 2. The snowy Tower has donned a festive outfit, and the Dawning event has begun. Everything here revolves around baking. With this guide, your Guardian will become a baking master.
The first step to becoming a baking master: To start baking, you don’t need much. Visit the new NPC Eva Levante in the Tower. She is located in the Bazaar area of the Tower, to the left of Ikora Rey. Her festively decorated stand is hard to miss.

Talk to Eva. There you will find Eva’s festive oven and some ingredients that you can combine for your first recipe.
How baking works: The oven is very simple to operate. It has three different slots. The first two can hold different ingredients, and the third one needs the Dawning Essence, an event-specific consumable.
The Oven
This way, you can mix different ingredients to create different baked goods. You can either unlock the recipes yourself or discover them by experimenting around.
Important: You can turn the oven into a masterpiece. To do so, you need to discover all the recipes. Then it will consume less Dawning Essence.
However, you should only do this after you have crafted and submitted the Burnt Edge Transits, the baked goods for Master Rahool, to the Cryptarch. Otherwise, you won’t receive the corresponding triumph.
How to bake your first treat: Everything you need for your first creation can be obtained from Eva. Simply add all the materials you received into the respective slots. Then you will get the first baked good, which you should take to Commander Zavala in the Tower. As a recognition of your baking skills, you will receive the event machine gun “Avalanche” with random rolls.
Afterwards, visit Eva again: There you will receive two new recipes and a kind of cookbook with all the other recipes that are yet to be discovered. You can also accept bounties there that will provide you with additional ingredients.
Requirements for the Sparrow
Additionally, there is the exotic quest for the new event Sparrow. You can unlock this with increasing baking progress.
