The Elder Scrolls Online is getting an update soon with extensive changes to the races and their bonuses. Many players fear that their chosen races will no longer fit their roles. However, developer Zenimax has now decided to release more change tokens and adds something extra.

The community of Anthem is already divided into two camps before the release. The culprit? Seemingly harmless little creatures called Klauninchen.

With the latest update, Pokémon GO has made several changes to the weather. Pokémon with weather bonuses now spawn more frequently.
In update 0.133.0, Niantic introduced some new features. They reduced visibility in the game and introduced gender-specific evolutions. However, it’s also noticeable that the developers have made several changes to the weather.
On Reddit, numerous players report sightings of Pokémon that usually hardly appear. This happens only because they are enhanced by the weather.
This is now different about the weather
So it was before with the weather: In the last few months, the effect of the weather was hardly noticeable. While you could find Pokémon with weather enhancements in the wild, they were actually just as common as any other Pokémon.
Monsters like Schneppke, Panzaeron, or Loturzel hardly came out during the right weather. There was even speculation for a while that Driftlon might not appear in the wild at all.

What does this mean for players? Especially shiny hunters will benefit from this. If you still have snow in the game, you will find Schneppke more frequently. This Pokémon rarely appears otherwise. In windy weather, you often find Natu or Driftlon. All of these Pokémon can be shiny.
But you will also find Pokémon that are generally rather rare, like Loturzel or Panzaeron, on the right weather conditions. If your PokéDex is not yet full, you can change that with the right weather now.

How much MMORPG is in Legions of War: At first glance, the new Aion may not seem like an MMORPG. The exploreable map is missing, you do not have a created hero, and the entire game actually consists only of arena battles.
But those who take a closer look at the battles and play a few rounds will quickly realize how complex the game and the gameplay are. The combats can go south quickly even at early stages if you do not handle it skillfully and utilize all tactical and strategic options.
This starts even before you enter the battle. Some bosses use skills and properties that can be particularly well countered with certain heroes. Therefore, it is sometimes necessary to reshape the party beforehand.
It quickly becomes apparent that Aion strongly relies on the “Holy Trinity” known from MMORPGs: tank, damage dealer, and healer.
Your tank must always have his taunts and defensive skills ready when bosses begin to deal heavy hits.
DPS classes, in turn, are especially effective when they can interrupt the boss or trigger combos as soon as the boss leaves an opening.
However, even with the best tank, it can quickly happen during battles that hard hits get through and you need healing. Then support characters step in to quickly revive your party. But cooldowns are long, and a too early activated healing could ruin the whole battle.
Anyone who enjoys tinkering with their heroes and optimizing their stats can have a blast after the battles. Aion offers tons of options to upgrade your heroes, level up, equip, and learn new abilities.
This is how beautiful Aion is: Legions of War impresses with extremely slick graphics. The days when mobile games were characterized by pixelated graphics and poor effects are surely over.
Each of the heroes is lovingly and detailed designed, and in battles, it gets intense when your heroes and enemies beat the hell out of each other with cool effects and animations.
Exciting story for Aion fans: The story of Aion is not just an accessory and revolves around your hero Ren and his companions. Between missions, the story is continued in small episodes, some of which are even fully voiced.
During this, you also get to know the different heroes of your team better, especially the banter between your naive priestess and a cynical battle mage is a lot of fun.
There are also many well-known races, regions, references, and Easter eggs that Aion fans will immediately recognize. So there are again Asmodians, winged heroes, weasel-like Shugo, and the dark Balaur.
What bothers players about Aion: Legions of War
That’s why some fans think that Legions of War is not Aion: Some players complain that the game is not a “real” Aion. They expected a game like the original, but here there is only an endless succession of short battles.
Certainly, Aion: Legions of War is not a remake of the original game, and those who want a game with a world to explore in which they can roam around with their winged hero will likely be disappointed with Legions of War.
But that is not what Legions of War aims to be. Instead, the game revolves around battles and group optimization, simply eliminating the downtime between fights.
This is the background behind the Pay2Win allegations: Many online games are accused by players of using Pay2Win mechanisms. That is, the possibility of buying significant in-game advantages with real money. Is this the case with Aion: Legions of War as well?
The game definitely offers the possibility to buy progression in the shop instead of grinding in battles. There is also a controversial energy system that limits your daily progress.
Everything you do in the game costs energy. If you run out, you have to pause until it is full again. Or you spend money to “refuel” immediately.
For casual players, who play for half an hour here and there throughout the day, the energy limit is not too tragic. But for those who seriously dive into Aion, you may hit limits more often and be tempted to spend money.
Additionally, using real money increases your Legion rating, which in turn unlocks additional bonuses.
So those who spend money have clear advantages in the game and progress faster. There is indeed a clear Pay2Progress observable, and those who pay a lot also get a lot. NCSoft could have handled this better.

I actually had no great expectations for Aion: Legions of War and was never a fan of the original Aion. So I approached the game without preconceptions and had no ideas that could turn out to be incorrect.
Because if you do not expect a remake of the original, you get a surprisingly complex tactical combat RPG here where you must optimally use the classes and roles known from MMOs to win.
And then Aion: Legions of War just looks fantastic. I am repeatedly amazed at how beautiful and splendid mobile games have become these days.
If you want an exciting game with gripping battles and if you enjoy optimizing your characters down to the last detail, you should take a look at Aion: Legions of War. As a free-to-play game, it is free anyway.
However, the shop offers leave a bitter aftertaste. Those who want to seriously engage in the game without spending real money should better be prepared to be patient.
For me, however, that is not a problem as I only play mobile games casually when I am on the go or have to wait for someone.
However, I ultimately prefer mobile games with action gameplay, such as Arena of Valor, Vainglory or Royal Blood. Aion will definitely stay on my phone.

If you want to play something new, February has some exciting titles. With Anthem and Far Cry: New Dawn, two new titles are hitting the market. Plus, there are cool updates for familiar games.
The Elder Scrolls Online – Prepare for the Dragons
What’s new in The Elder Scrolls Online: In the first quarter of 2019, something completely new begins in ESO: the Season of the Dragon.
It begins with the Wrathstone DLC, where the backstory to the gripping cinematic trailer seen by players for the big chapter Elsweyr is told.
Somehow, the cunning Abnur Tharn must have come across the mysterious stone tablet “Wrathstone” that unwittingly unleashes dragons upon Elsweyr. This story is told in the Dungeon DLC “Wrathstone”.
The DLC is set to be released in the first quarter of 2019 and has been on the test server since January 21. So it is quite possible that it goes live sometime in February. ZeniMax did not confirm this for us upon request.
But even if February passes without the DLC, a trip to Tamriel is worthwhile.
Why should you play ESO?
If the Wrathstone DLC is released, it will clearly be the big highlight for ESO. In two dungeons, you will assist Abnur Tharn in searching for the two halves of the tablet . One dungeon should be familiar to fans of Oblivion.
In the dungeons, there will be unique loot to further equip your heroes.
Also, the dungeons are not just any instances with no connection to the rest of the game. Rather, the story behind the two dungeons kicks off the major plot of the Season of the Dragon and the Elsweyr addon.
Without revealing too much: Once you have played the dungeons, you will understand why there are dragons again and have good motivation to replay the upcoming addons and DLCs of 2019.
That’s why ESO is also good without DLCs: Even if the DLC doesn’t come in February, a trip to Tamriel is still worthwhile. There are plenty of quests, dungeons, raids, and other content for you to enjoy.

Field Research Yields Numerous Shinys
The field research in March is a paradise for Shiny hunters. Almost every quest offers a chance at a Shiny.
These Shinys can be obtained: The list of possible Shinys is long. The quests offer you shiny forms of Pokémon such as Growlithe or Kabuto, Pokémon that are not frequently found in the wild.
The Ground-type Pokémon Sandshrew can also be obtained from one of the field research tasks. This has only been available globally in shiny form since December and is quite rare in Germany outside of nests.
New Spinda Form Number 2
A new form of Spinda awaits you in March. The form with the number 2 is new to the field research this time. You can obtain this Spinda from the quest “Land 5 great curveball throws in a row.”

This is behind the many Destiny comparisons: People always wonder why Destiny is compared to Anthem. This doesn’t make sense from a gameplay perspective. One is a first-person shooter, the other is a third-person RPG.
To understand, one must know: The comparisons stem from the development of the gaming industry over the last 5 or 6 years. The big trend is called “Games as a Service.”
These are Games-as-a-Service: Two games are considered pioneers in this service trend.
RockStar launched GTA Online in 2013 – a pre-existing franchise was continued with a new service title.
Bungie followed up in 2014 with Destiny – the first new brand to function as such a service title.
The games were later called “service games” or “live games” because they were meant to continue indefinitely – like a service.
The purchase of a game used to be a transaction handled at the counter on consoles: players bought a game at the register and that was it. Business relationship over.
With GTA Online, players entered into a longer business relationship with a game. The developers continually developed the game, and players continually paid for it – like a service.
Therefore, experts thought that other studios would also jump on this trend. They were completely correct – almost every major publisher has shifted towards games-as-service in recent years and praises this wise decision:

Tangoloss
Why Tangoloss is good: This Grass Pokémon not only has a great moveset but also a good defense value. This allows it to withstand a lot in battles. Its solid attack value makes the Pokémon one of the top Grass Pokémon in the game.
What do I use Tangoloss against? With its Grass attacks, it hits types Water, Ground, and Rock very effectively. Monsters like Rhydon or Tyranitar stand no chance in gyms.
How to find Tangoloss: Tangoloss can be developed from Tangela using a Sinnoh Stone. If you don’t have many stones left, you should first use a Sinnoh Stone on Tangela.
Why Yanmega is good: Yanmega will be a true alternative to Pinsir and Scizor. It has comparable values and can also reach nearly 3000 CP. Additionally, it can learn the attack Bug Buzz, making it stronger than its competitors in certain situations. If you don’t have a good Pinsir or Scizor, you should rely on Yanmega.
What do I use Yanmega against? The Bug type is effective against Dark, Psychic, and Grass. If Mewtwo returns in raids, you have a top counter with Yanmega. In gyms, this Pokémon is especially effective against Exeggutor or Tyranitar.
How to find Yanmega: You will evolve this Pokémon from Yanma. You will need a Sinnoh Stone for that. Investing a stone in Yanma is definitely not wrong.
What about Gallade? In terms of CP, Gallade could also be included in this list. However, this Pokémon unfortunately only has very poor attacks, which is why it can’t really compete anywhere. Although it has a pure Psychic moveset, it faces too much competition there.
