In the MMORPG Lost Ark, new clues about a release in the West are emerging. At least, there are glimmers of hope. One lead comes via my.com in Russia, the other through Korean trailers. Will the online role-playing game finally reach us in Germany and Europe?
What is the situation with Lost Ark? The MMORPG Lost Ark is currently playable in some parts of the world, but not here in Germany yet. Those who want to play Lost Ark in Germany have to take some detours.
Now, there are two developments that give new hope.
Hope 1: Russians bring store to Europe – Lost Ark included?
This is the news: The Russian gaming publisher “My.Games” has now announced plans to go “global”. My.Games is the gaming division of “Mail.ru”, a huge Russian corporation.
They want to launch their “My.Games Store” worldwide in Q4 2019, thus offering their free-to-play games and premium titles to an even larger audience.
In the current Russian version of this store, Lost Ark is already visible, alongside titles like Conqueror’s Blade or Warface. We in the West cannot access the version – My.com has installed an IP block.

My.Games claims that they have had a lot of success in Eastern Europe, and now they plan to reach both a Russian and a global audience.
It is said that this step gives their international partners the chance to reach a large audience and players would then have more games to choose from.
Lost ARK – Release still in 2019 with the new shop?
Is Lost Ark included? We do not know that at the moment. Lost Ark has not properly launched in Russia yet. However, My.Games holds the rights in the Russian market via my.com.
It is quite plausible that we could play Lost Ark in the West via the then-international My.com Store in Q4 2019 if My.com comes to an agreement with Smilegate.
This would also explain why we have not heard anything about a West release until now, if they have been planning this deal for a while. However, localization into English would have to be underway by then.

Hope 2: The Koreans are now making trailers in English
This is the news: About two weeks ago, Lost Ark released three TV trailers for the new class “Assassin”. All of them have an English audio track, although they are made for the Korean audience.
This could indicate that Smilegate is planning to bring Lost Ark to the West after all – or the English voice is just in there because English sounds cool to Koreans.
The lead producer of Anthem, Ben Irving, recently announced his departure from BioWare. With this, a well-known and important figure leaves the company. The community is hotly debating Irving’s departure, as the head of Anthem has been highly controversial among players since his days with the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Who is taking their hat off? On August 15, Ben Irving announced via Twitter that he will be leaving BioWare after eight years. He received an “exciting opportunity” to join another game developer.
Irving was previously the lead producer for the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic before taking the same position at Anthem. In this role, he was “the face” of the action RPG and communicated with fans on Twitter and Reddit before the launch and was seen in many live streams.
Irving’s departure is currently a hot topic among Anthem players. The producer had a difficult standing in the community.

This is why Irving was controversial: Before his position at Anthem, Ben Irving was the lead producer for SWTOR (Star Wars: The Old Republic). Currently, a Twitch clip of a league match for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is going viral. It shows a team giving up despite being massively in the lead. The reaction of the Twitch streamer to this mistake is really beautiful.
What does the clip show? As reported by Dexerto , it is about a league match of the FPL in CS:GO, the FACEIT Pro League.
The game is actually already decided – one team is leading 11:1.
Then the player Salim0 excitedly calls out: “Please make a pause, pause, pause, please.”

Team gets baited into surrendering because they follow convention
What happened there? It is common for CS:GO players to immediately agree to a vote when one of the players asks for a pause.
When Salim0 called for a pause and then opened a poll, the team members quickly agreed without checking what the vote was about. They thought it was about whether the game would now be paused.
However, the player did not open a poll for a pause but one about whether to surrender the match. Since evidently no one took the time to check this in the heat of battle, the far superior team ended up surrendering the match.
It is unclear what the player was thinking, whether it was a massive troll attempt on his teammates or if he simply made a mistake because he needed a break so badly.
Streamer’s reaction makes viral Twitch clip so beautiful
The reaction of the Twitch streamer is fantastic; he takes it in stride. In hindsight, he can surely enjoy his mistake: The Twitch clip has already recorded over 130,000 views. The Polish streamer WoznyTV has only about 30 viewers on average and 2,700 followers.
In December 2018, the pirate/survival MMO Atlas was released. The launch was plagued by issues. Now, three-quarters of a year has passed. How is the game doing now?
The launch of Atlas went like this: On December 22, 2018, Atlas was released in Early Access. Prior to that, the release had been postponed three times. Despite this being the fourth release date, the launch was problematic. Many bugs and crashes marred the gaming experience.
The interesting part: Despite many people cursing Atlas, it sold quite well – on Steam, the game was even a top seller. This was likely because, at the time, few new games were being released, especially in the survival genre. Initially, an average of 40,000 players were playing. At that point, it was already considered a hit.
Atlas after 2 months: On MeinMMO, we looked at Atlas two months after the release. From “Mostly Negative”, the Steam ratings improved to “Mixed”. There was still a lot of criticism:

Official servers provided poor performance and many griefers
Positively, private servers were mentioned in February 2019. Here, players could enjoy the game according to their own rules and have fun. At that time, about 14,000 people played the game simultaneously.
Now, we are looking at how Atlas stands in August 2019. Has the game improved? Did player numbers increase again, remain the same, or fall further?
What major updates have there been?
Restart in April – What changed? In April, Atlas introduced a test server where players could eagerly try out new content before it was released. Along with that came 3 new game modes:
Mega-update in May: The big Atlas update in May offered many new contents, such as storage crates on ships and an ice dungeon. Players had been waiting a long time for such new content. However, the mega-update couldn’t get Atlas properly back on track, another idea had to be conceived.
Now there is a single-player mode: Although Atlas is designed for 40,000 players, the announcement of a single-player mode in Atlas came in June. This received a lot of positive feedback from players.

How many players does Atlas have now? According to the Steamcharts database, Atlas has maintained an average of about 3,000 players since June. The trend is downward. While there were still 7,276 players at peak in June, only a maximum of 5,221 players were online at the same time in the past 30 days (as of August 17, 2019).
The embedded graphic clearly shows how low Atlas has fallen. From almost 40,000 average players in December 2018, there are now only 2,685.
It can also be seen that the restart in April brought some players back to Atlas. However, as we moved towards May 2019, the numbers dropped again.
Community feedback
How do the reviews look? The recent reviews, which are 473 votes in the last 30 days, rate Atlas on Steam as “Mixed”. 53% of the submitted reviews are positive.
The total reviews, amounting to 23,766 votes, for Atlas on Steam are 36% positive. This gives the game an overall rating of “Mostly Negative”.

Positively, it is mentioned that there are now many contents that bring variety to the game. One player states that Atlas has improved significantly since its launch.
“After almost 400 hours of gameplay, I must say that it has developed well after the bad start,” writes Prandolin on Steam.
“My first review. I have been playing the game since December 2018. In the beginning, there were major issues, which were mostly fixed by early January, allowing the game to be playable. I still play it now, it is July 27, 2019, and the game is just great. There is always something to do, and it never gets boring. I play daily as much as my time allows. […].” writes satyrus on Steam.

Destiny 2 will experience some changes to PvP with Shadowkeep. Franchise Director Luke Smith addressed changes in the Crucible in the third part of his blog series and also mentioned the Trials. PvP players have been waiting for this mode, the Trials, for a year already. And they will likely have to wait even longer.
What are the Trials? The Trials were a weekly PvP event in Destiny 1 and at the beginning of Destiny 2. With the arrival of Xur, the Trials opened on Friday evening and disappeared again with the Weekly Reset.
While the event was known as “Trials of Osiris” in Destiny 1, it was named “Trials of the Nine” in Destiny 2. Additionally, there were some changes compared to its predecessor that were less well-received by players:
Smith takes responsibility for this himself and writes, if he could turn back time, he would challenge the team to do many things differently. Bungie is determined to learn from the mistakes they make and to make things right.

What other PvP changes are coming? With Shadowkeep, the existing PvP playlists are being overhauled:
The previous Quickplay will be removed and replaced by Classic Mix. The playlist includes the modes Control, Supremacy, and Clash, and has matchmaking based on connection.
Competitive will be replaced with a 3v3 Survival mode that rewards you with Glory points. There will also be a Solo Survival that also awards Glory.
6v6 Control will become a standalone playlist. Bungie believes this mode is the perfect entry point for new players coming to Destiny 2 with New Light.
There will be weekly 6v6 and 4v4 rotation playlists. These include the modes Clash, Supremacy, Showdown, Lockdown, and Countdown.
Some maps that didn’t perform well in PvP will be removed from matchmaking. Which ones they are has not yet been disclosed.
The Widow’s Court, a popular map from Destiny 1, returns with Shadowkeep for Elimination
Additionally, Bungie is currently working on four variants of 3v3 Elimination with different approaches to revives and Heavy ammo. The mode is still being developed, but the developers want feedback from the players, which is why Elimination returns to the Crucible Labs. This is the test playlist for PvP modes.
To test Elimination on familiar terrain, the popular PvP maps Widow’s Court and Midnight from Destiny 1 are returning. So far, the two maps have been mentioned in connection with Crucible Labs. Whether they will also be available for other modes is still unknown.
In the fall, there are also plans for changes to skill-based matchmaking. This is primarily intended to help new players who are expected with the free-to-play transition.
In the MMORPG World of Warcraft, WoW Classic is very popular. Now, a Blizzard employee warns that the US server Herod is massively overcrowded. Players should switch or there will be queues with more than 10,000 players or even more.

The player still shot at the moving metal pile and immediately regretted it: “These Chinese are aggressive and wild. When I hit the robot with a shot, the three of them teleported directly to me and shot at me with the Stun Gun. They didn’t stop at all.”
How can one build something like this? In the Reddit thread, many players are amazed by this construction. Others are wondering what is even going on.
“How can they even glue these tanks together?” asks TurtleSniper on Reddit. In response, a player says that this kind of stuff has been around for a long time. You simply connect objects with a vehicle. It works similarly to building stunt maps. You just have to create it once – then you can save the corresponding code, and anyone with a mod menu can spawn it.
The most important feature of Destiny 2 Shadowkeep – the Armor 2.0 – has a flaw that is currently being discussed. But according to Luke Smith, it’s not that bad.
This is the flaw: The Armor 2.0 is the big new Shadowkeep feature that gives you almost limitless freedom in equipping your Guardian’s armor.
However, Guardians quickly discovered that this freedom is surprisingly limited: Many mods can only be combined with specific armor.
For example, a Void mod cannot be fitted into a Solar or Arc armor. This unnecessarily limits the combination options of mods and armors, as many Guardians find.
With Armor 2.0, all armor pieces receive an energy level that corresponds to one of the elements: Arc, Void, or Solar. If a mod requires a specific element, the armor’s energy must match it; otherwise, the mod cannot be applied. You can read all the information about Armor 2.0 here.
You can’t combine everything, but that’s not so bad
This is being criticized: After the introduction of Armor 2.0, this topic blew up quite a bit. Specifically, it was criticized that
the mod that speeds up the reloading of hand cannons requires a Void armor,
the mod that speeds up the reloading of shotguns requires an Arc armor
and you can’t combine the reloader mods for the weapons you want. If each weapon type requires a different element, that is quite ridiculous, an unnecessary restriction, and a step back compared to now.
Bungie’s response: Game Director Luke Smith has now addressed these reloader mods via Twitter. He explains that this supposed flaw is not that bad because you have even more options to speed up reloading with mods.
The hand cannon reloader mod can only be fitted into Void armor. This costs 3 Void energy.
However, there are also “general mods,” like Sidearm Reloaders, that have no element restriction. You can apply these to any armor piece regardless of the element.
These general mods, like the Sidearm Reloaders, have the exact same effect on the reload speed of hand cannons as the hand cannon reloader (and also on the other sidearms).
The downside of the general mods is that they consume more energy from your armor, namely 4-5 energy.
In total, there are 11 general mods. And these are available to you right away with Shadowkeep, so you can start crafting your armor immediately.
This means: If you want to specialize and optimize your build, you can farm and use the mods that have an armor element requirement. This saves you armor energy that you can invest in other mods.
You can improve the reload speed of any weapons unrestrictedly with general mods on any armor – regardless of the element. However, these general mods consume a bit more energy, which means you’ll have to forgo other mods and so no “perfect builds” are possible.
What does the community say about this? On Reddit, people thank Smith for being transparent and quickly responding to a concern that spread in the community.
People also agree with this functionality: the general mods do not specifically apply to one gun, but to several weapon types. Therefore, it is okay that they cost more energy. This balancing of advantages and disadvantages is what makes an RPG.
In the shooter Apex Legends , the developer Respawn has apologized for the skins in the new event “Iron Crown”. The cosmetic items were only available in loot boxes, and players had to rely on luck. Now Respawn is bringing 12 of the skins to the shop. However, they are quite expensive.
What was the problem? When the “Iron Crown” event started, players quickly became frustrated. There were now 24 new skins for legends and weapons in the game, but they were only available through loot boxes. Players did not know which of the new skins they would get when they bought a box for 700 Apex Coins, about 7 €.

How to defeat Suicune at Level 30
How challenging it is: Although Level 30 is not very high, you can use many counters that work well. It’s important that the Pokémon are indeed at Level 30.

The special thing about the vendor reset: Every week, the vendor reset in The Division 2 takes place on the night from Friday to Saturday. A few days ago, Gamigo, the publisher of the Trion MMORPGs ArcheAge and Rift, released a mysterious teaser. It suggests major changes to one of the MMORPGs.
What kind of teaser is this? Gamigo’s teaser initially consisted of a own website with a countdown that ends on Monday at 7:40 PM our time. This fits well into the window for an announcement at gamescom.
In the meantime, this teaser has been expanded, and player quotes and relevant responses from the developers have been added. Much now suggests that the announcement has to do with ArcheAge.
ArcheAge without Pay2Win and Subscription?
What are the quotes about? The quotes start with “Players said so far” and then quotes are taken that portray the game positively or negatively.
The developers then respond to this quote and hint at upcoming improvements. Given the content about pirates and labor points, it can be assumed that the game is about ArcheAge.
One statement says:
Players said so far: The P2W is strong in this game… Really hard to recommend when something like this ruins the entire experience.
In response, the developers say:
We take our players’ feedback very seriously. Sometimes it takes a while for changes to be implemented. Just have a little patience, what is coming soon could be something you’ve been waiting for.
Many other quotes also focus primarily on the criticism of ArcheAge. This involves housing, which is hidden behind the subscriber model, or labor points, where subscribers also have a significant advantage.
Additionally, the quotes hint at innovations in ship battles. In Korea, ArcheAge 6.0 has already been released, which has introduced a kind of PUBG with ships into the game.

When will the next major update arrive? There is no exact date for this yet. However, the update is supposed to be released before the “Episode 2” DLC. And this is currently vaguely scheduled for Autumn 2019. Fans therefore expect it in September or October.
What’s included? It’s currently unknown whether new content will come with the next Title Update. Probably not. Because the developers at Massive have already announced that this update will address the major issues of The Division 2 – based on player feedback. These include, among other things:
Roleplaying (RPG) in the endgame
The way loot is acquired
Inventory management
How all these changes interact in PvE and PvP

What we know about the “Episode 2” DLC for The Division 2
What’s the deal with the DLCs? For the first year of The Division 2, Massive has planned a total of 3 DLCs in episode format, which will provide the game with new content. Episode 1 has already been released, while Episode 2, titled “Pentagon – The Last Stronghold,” is next in line.
When will Episode 2 be released? An exact date is still pending. All that is known is that the 2nd DLC is supposed to be released in Autumn 2019.
What’s included in the 2nd DLC? Two key aspects about the new episode “Pentagon: The Last Castle” are currently known:
In three new missions, you must defend the namesake Pentagon against the elite mercenaries Black Tusk, who want to seize important military secrets. You must ensure they remain classified.
Additionally, the 2nd 8-man raid of The Division 2 against the True Sons will start during this episode.
What comes next?
What are Massive’s further plans? The developers have not commented yet on further plans for 2019. The only thing currently known is that the third DLC is expected to be released in early 2020. This will likely conclude the first year of The Division 2.
What do we know about Episode 3? The last of the three episodes in Year 1 is called “Episode 3 – Coney Island: Homecoming.” Here, Division agents return to the origin of the outbreak – namely New York. There they are expected to encounter an old enemy, Aaron Keener, whom they must hunt down and stop. He is a former Division agent, a former weapon-brother, who holds the fate of humanity in his hands.
