A player of World of Warcraft apparently loves warriors. So much so that he now has more than three dozen at max level.
When most players in World of Warcraft feel bored and start a new character, it usually belongs to a different class than the main character. Only in the rarest cases will someone create a second rogue, a second paladin, or a second priest.
Not so for DesMephisto, who feels a special bond with one class: the warrior.
What has he done? On Reddit, DesMephisto revealed that he has now achieved the nearly incredible feat of having brought a proud 41 warrior characters in World of Warcraft to max level – that is, 120.
His goal is to have a max-level warrior from each race and then both genders. As it stands, he is only missing one warrior to complete his collection of 42 warriors.
This holds true at least until Blizzard implements new playable races or allied races.
Why is he doing this? According to his own statement, DesMephisto suffers from autism and finds relaxation and peace in the “meditative playstyle” of the warrior. It helps him process the day. Additionally, he simply enjoys warriors, as he likes plate armor and the associated weapons that a warrior can use.
He also chose the warrior because it is the only class that can be played by all races. All other classes have restrictions in race selection.

The coop shooter Remnant: From the Ashes is here and is currently well received. We will tell you what you need to know about the start of the action game.
What is Remnant: From the Ashes about? In the coop shooter, you are exploring a post-apocalyptic world with up to two players to eliminate the dark seed.
The fights remind a bit of Dark Souls, as each type of monster has weaknesses that you need to discover. This makes especially the boss fights tactical
Remnant also aims to tell an exciting story through cutscenes and dialogues. The atmosphere is somewhat reminiscent of Hellgate: London
What is planned for the future? The developers want to expand the game with DLCs. These are supposed to offer new worlds with many challenges. In addition, the team plans to introduce skins.
While new worlds are supposed to be paid, skins will be offered for free. At least that is the current plan.
Who is Remnant: From the Ashes suitable for? The game is likely to be of interest to those who want to play a post-apocalyptic shooter cooperatively in a trio and want to experience fast yet tactical battles with an exciting story.
The German development studio Yager is working with The Cycle on an online shooter that mixes PvP with PvE. And you can check out the action game for free right now.
What is The Cycle? The developers describe the game as a “competitive quest shooter.” This means that while you fight against other players in PvP, you also have to face NPC enemies.
You take on the role of a treasure hunter who mines valuable resources on the planet Fortuna III
You accept missions from factions
As other treasure hunters roam Fortuna III, battles ensue
However, the environment also poses a threat, and you must confront the planet’s aliens
Temporary alliances are necessary to survive
But you shouldn’t really trust anyone, as in the end, everyone fights for themselves to gather the most resources
Your weapons can be upgraded over time, and you gain new abilities
Now and then, a deadly storm sweeps across the landscape. You must try to reach the evacuation ship in time, as the storm will kill you otherwise. This can be seen as a battle royale element.
20 players are involved per match
Fair PvP but no “true” Battle Royale

So why should PvP be fair despite being open? To prevent The Cycle from becoming a game where everyone fights everyone, the developers have implemented some “safeguards.”
You do not receive rewards for killing another player
The matchmaking ensures that peaceful players stay among themselves
Those who constantly attack other players will have a bounty placed on them
There is no leaderboard for PvP kills
This is why the game is important for the studio: At gamescom, it was stated that the German studio Yager (Dreadnought) is taking a big risk with The Cycle, as it is the developer’s first own and self-published game. Therefore, success is very important.
This is why it is not a Battle Royale: We mentioned that The Cycle has battle royale elements, but the developers explain that it is not a real battle royale title.
There are NPC enemies
Your character improves
Cooperating is encouraged
You are exploring a large, open world
You complete missions and collect resources
There are vehicles
You can also try to achieve your goal solo
It is possible to avoid enemies

How is the game funded? It is a free-to-play shooter. The developers plan to introduce paid cosmetic items. You can already purchase bundles with skins and in-game currency.
How is The Cycle received? The initial reactions speak of a good and fast shooter that can be played even during short breaks.
However, the game explains too little. You have to figure a lot out for yourself, such as how crafting works. Some find it confusing that you don’t even know which resources you pick up. Only at the end of the round do you receive a list of the things you collected.
Nevertheless, players see potential, as The Cycle uses elements of battle royale but does not play like one, rather presenting something unique. However, some optimizations are still needed.
In Destiny 2, new Exotics have been revealed. Among them is a rocket launcher reminiscent of a “Void Gjallarhorn.”
Where were the Exotics discovered? Bungie provided juicy information about Shadowkeep at the gamescom kick-off 2019, where crafty Guardians spotted new Exotics in the showcased footage.
This is the rocket launcher: In the gameplay trailer, this rocket launcher can be seen, which is almost certainly exotic given its design and perks:
The special thing about this rocket launcher is that it fires a Void rocket that splits into multiple Void tracking rockets upon impact. These projectiles are somewhat reminiscent of the Nova Bomb of Warlocks or the projectiles of Screebs:
What the tracking rockets also remind one of: The Gjallarhorn from Destiny 1. It was once an overpowered exotic rocket launcher that also released tracking cluster rockets upon impact – the so-called pack missiles.
Therefore, some Guardians are already talking about a “Void Gjallarhorn,” as for example the YouTuber xHOUNDISHx. Although this exotic doesn’t resemble the Gjallarhorn much in external design, its functionality appears similar.
More Exotics in Shadowkeep
Monte Carlo: The Monte Carlo was an exotic auto rifle in Destiny 1. In the new footage, it was directly spotted twice:
Monte Carlo in the gameplay trailer
Here you see the Monte Carlo as an icon in the primary weapon inventory:
This image also shows the icon of a new exotic Hunter helmet.
This is the Hunter Exotic: This helmet is called “Assassin’s Cowl” and is prominently displayed in the following screenshot:
The exotic perk grants you invisibility and restores some health and shield when you defeat a Guardian with a melee attack or take down an enemy with a Finishing Move.
New Titan Exotic: For the Titan, an exotic leg armor called “Phoenix Cradle” has been revealed:
The exotic perk is not fully readable in this screenshot. However, the Exotic has to do with a longer-lasting Sun Warrior bonus and sunspots. Allies also benefit when they run through the spots – it is an Exotic for Solar Titans.

The opening night of gamescom 2019 was an event lasting about two hours, where everyone patted each other on the back. What remains in our author Schuhmann’s memory is the urination, a combine harvester, and Destiny 2 trying to tell everyone: Hey, not everything is recycled.
I’ve only heard legends about Geoff Keighley, the host of the opening night of gamescom. He was involved in a “scandal” in 2012, or whatever you want to call it when it’s not about coke and bribes, but about Doritos and Mountain Dew.
This photo went around the world in 2012 and started a scandal. Source: Eurogamer
The topic back then was: How intertwined journalists and gaming companies are. It was a big deal in 2012. At that time, gaming journalist Keighley had posed for a photo showing him with a Halo 4 poster between Mountain Dew and Doritos.
An accusatory article appeared on an English site, stating that journalists should maintain distance from the subject of their reporting. Back then it was a scandal – today it apparently doesn’t interest anyone anymore.
Keighley as a character in Death Stranding.
Death Stranding the highlight of the evening
There was a big applause as the audience realized that the host Keighley had become a character in Death Stranding.
Overall, Death Stranding was the performance of the opening night of gamescom that remained most in memory.
The trailer began with the character, based on Norman Reedus (Daryl from The Walking Dead), first urinating while the counter ticked down how full his bladder was. This earned applause.
Important info: How full is the bladder?
In that moment I wondered if this was an ironic comment on exaggerated realism in survival MMOs, but the Twitch chat was already chanting “Game of the Year” – so it must be genius.
The next day, the headline of international gaming press was: You can urinate in Death Stranding, but you never see Norman Reedus’s penis.
While they were usually in a hurry at gamescom, Death Stranding and Kojima were given several minutes on stage. As an audience member, a feeling slowly developed that we were really learning something about the game – although the cult of personality around Kojima was irritating.
Rarely has a developer been idolized by the host as much as Kojima was by Keighley that night. There was even a montage of previous events where Keighley couldn’t stop praising and hugging the “industry icon”.
After the Death Stranding appearance, there was a feeling; one must learn more about this game.
Destiny 2 assures: Not everything is recycled
The actual event was a bombardment of trailers – without much connection or disturbing information.
Every 3 minutes you could shove in trailer after trailer – occasionally developers were invited on stage, who then tried to use their few seconds in the spotlight to convey to players: “Our game is already cool and something special.”
Short appearance at gamescom. Clear message: Not everything is recycled!
Especially the poor duo from Bungie tried hard to get their message across: “Hey, yes, it’s again the moon, but not everything is recycled, believe us.”
The chance to leave a lasting impression was taken by the German developers of Iron Harvest, which looked like the most German game of the evening: black-and-white images, mechs in a World War scenario, it was great.
Iron Harvest featured mechs in black and white.
However, it became even more German when at the end of the opening night the “Farming Simulator” made its appearance at gamescom 2019.
Keighley apparently couldn’t believe that we here in Germany treat the simulation of agricultural work as eSports. I find it hard to believe too – how must it affect the poor Canadian?
Overall, the opening night of gamescom was probably what it was supposed to be: a showcase for many games, all of which had only short appearances – but it made you look forward to more in the coming days.
During the gamescom 2019, we will discuss a new shooter today, on Tuesday, in the stream: Synced: Off Planet. The sci-fi shooter combines survival, crafting, and base-building.

The Gamescom showcased new content from the endgame of Borderlands 3. There are familiar modes, but also a few innovations.
The Gamescom has started, and with it, a lot of new information about the big games of the coming months is flowing out. Leading the way is of course Borderlands 3, whose developers present plenty of new features and now talk more specifically about the endgame. In particular, two game modes were discussed: The Circle of Slaughter and the Trial Grounds.
What is the Circle of Slaughter? The Circle of Slaughter is likely familiar to fans of the series. These are various arena modes organized by the weapon manufacturer Torgue. In various arenas, players must defeat opponents in a total of 5 rounds, each consisting of several waves. Those who go down cannot be revived, and only those who survive all 5 rounds continuously will earn a reward at the end. If you want to impress the audience, you meet additional goals, such as melee kills, headshots, or kills via explosions. Torgue certainly appreciates that.
What is the Trial Grounds? At launch, there are 6 different Trial Grounds that players must first discover. Here, the “Overseer”, who belongs to the alien race of the Eridians, assigns players a task. Within a time limit, they must cleanse three areas of enemies for “testing for their master.” If successful, there is a large chest of loot at the end.
However, the quality of the loot can be drastically improved if certain bonus objectives are met. For instance, if you never go down in the Trial Grounds, have a large amount of time left, or take down a particularly tough opponent, you enhance your reward at the end of the round.

Both the Circle of Slaughter and the Trial Grounds place a strong emphasis on “Replayability,” meaning the ability to play these contents repeatedly. Whether they will be engaging enough for players to want to tackle them multiple times remains to be seen.
Is there more to come? In addition to these modes, there are expected to be more endgame contents, which will be discussed in more detail in the coming weeks. There is definitely something like a “Guardian System” which has been referred to as “Badass Ranks 2.0.”
The Badass Ranks were a system in Borderlands 2 where players could complete achievements to earn points. These points could then be distributed to permanent character bonuses that applied to all characters across an account. Raids against particularly nasty monsters are also expected. However, there has been no new information about those.
What do you think of the current plans for the endgame of Borderlands 3 and what you have seen so far? Is that enough for you, or do you need more to buy the game?
A new trailer for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne has appeared. It shows the battle with many monsters and a teaser for a powerful water creature.
This is the new trailer: This trailer is already the second clip related to gamescom 2019 for the DLC Iceborne. Previously, Velkhana was detailed and now we see clips featuring various monsters.
Additionally, there is another insight into the story of Iceborne. It is speculated what secrets the new game world holds.
Check out the trailer for Iceborne here
The clip lasts a full 4 minutes and showcases several monsters that await you in the DLC:

This is what the trailer shows: The clip poses numerous riddles. It seems to revolve around songs related to Velkhana. It should be one of the things you will discover in Iceborne.
Besides the story, there will also be a lot of action. The trailer shows various gameplay snippets of battles with Velkhana, but also with other monsters.
There was a teaser: At the very end of the trailer, there is also a small teaser. A huge monster is shown, which apparently emerges from the water. So, there will likely be some creatures lurking for you in the water as well.
You can’t see much of the monster, but is this Namielle?
On Reddit , the user “wulf_gang” reports that the monster is Namielle. It is an Elder Dragon. However, it remains to be seen whether it actually is Namielle.
About Remnant: From the Ashes (PC, PS4, Xbox One) there was little heard before release, which is why hardly anyone reported on it. Now the shooter is available and can directly excite players. On Steam, the reviews are already raving about the title.
What is Remnant: From the Ashes? The coop shooter places you in a post-apocalyptic world that has been attacked and nearly destroyed by the mysterious “Seed”. You now set out to travel through the dimensions. In doing so, you want to find a way to destroy the Seed and save humanity.

How does Remnant play? It is a coop shooter, where you can go on adventures with two others – or alone. Basically, you create your own version of the world and then invite players to complete missions together. Or you can jump into a friend’s game to help them.
Together, you fight against the Seed, including huge boss monsters
Tactics are important, as each type of enemy has its own weaknesses that you need to discover
Crafting plays an important role in improving your equipment
You choose character classes and can improve your hero based on equipment and through traits
When did Remnant launch? The release is today, August 20, but the game is already unlocked. You can start directly via Steam or get the game for PS4 or Xbox One in the respective store.
How is the shooter received? As soon as Remnant launched with little fanfare, the coop action game received a rating of 94 percent and “Very Positive” on Steam.
What is well received? There are a number of things that players like:
The combination of story and grinding is well executed
Thanks to voice acting and cutscenes, Remnant creates an exciting atmosphere
The performance is very good. The shooter plays very smoothly
The fights feel very good. You have a good feeling with each weapon and it is fun to use them
The combination of the atmosphere from Hellgate: London and the fights from Dark Souls or The Surge is very well received and works
The difficulty level is high but never unfair
Crafting is fun and provides a motivation factor, as it allows you to improve your heroes well
What is not so well received? There are also a few criticisms of the game:
The randomness of the worlds is something some expected differently. The world basically always remains the same until you start a new one
Communication with other players is difficult, as there is no chat
The boss fights are often difficult only because of the additional monster spawns that occur repeatedly. The actual bosses are not intended to be a major challenge
Once you finish the game, everything repeats itself, especially if you do not start a new world
Overall, Remnant: From the Ashes is currently being received very well. However, one must of course wait and see how things develop over the coming days and weeks. The game just launched a few hours ago.
In Apex Legends, the head of the studio, Vince Zampella, apologized for comments made by his employees on Reddit. The Project Lead referred to “assholes” and “freeloaders” – but Zampella explains that there were death threats against developers.
Why did the dispute escalate? Apex Legends released several skins for the “Iron Crown” event. However, they could only be obtained through loot boxes:
If you wanted all the skins and an extra bonus skin, it cost quite a bit – you ended up at around €190
Additionally, there was frustration that you could not purchase skins directly, but had to rely on luck.
After several days of players venting about this, Respawn apologized for this decision and promised to make individual skins directly purchasable in the shop. However, the conflict escalated right after the apology:
Players took to Reddit to express their displeasure. They feared more influence from EA and said the skins in Apex Legends were too expensive – some Reddit users called the developers greedy.
Two developers then defended their position – this happened on Friday and over the weekend, outside of Respawn’s business hours.
Freeloaders, Assholes, Bastards
What were those flames? The Executive Producer, Drew McCoy, responded directly on Friday in several posts, some emotionally, using words in his argument that upset fans:
Freeloader – means something like beggar or freeloader
Dick – literally “penis”, in German one would say something like “bastard”
Ass-Hats – “assholes”
Essentially, Drew McCoy wanted to say: Guys, we messed up. We apologized. But it’s no reason to attack us like this now – give us the chance to do better in the future.
However, this message got lost in the uproar.
Now the topic was how someone from Respawn insulted the players.

Boss says there were death threats – still, the behavior is unacceptable
Here’s what the boss says now: The CEO of Respawn, Vince Zampella, is highly respected in the gaming industry and at EA. Many attribute the great success of Apex Legends to him because he works meticulously and Apex Legends was tested thoroughly before it went live.
He expressed himself in a tweet:
He says some employees crossed the line – that is not the way Respawn wants to present itself
He wants to apologize to all fans who feel attacked
He will always stand behind his team and support them when they stand up against “ugly” comments that include death threats or comments against relatives or friends
But one must lead by example – that did not happen last week
In the future, they want to do better and work towards an open, healthy relationship between the community and Respawn – that is important to everyone
In a 12-hour stream, this streamer raised over €5,000 for charity on Twitch.TV. He tearfully tells his mother about this milestone.
What kind of stream was it? The 14-year-old streamer “averageharry” started a charity stream on August 19. The broadcast lasted 12 hours straight. He played games like Minecraft, Fortnite and mini golf while raising donations for charity.
His viewers were generous during the stream and donated a lot of money. When he shows his mother the current total shortly before the end of the stream, he has already collected £4,288.92. At the current exchange rate, that’s about €4,700.
So emotional shows the streamer: A clip is going viral in the gaming community that shows the streamer in tears. He proudly tells his mother in the video how much money he has raised. “Four thousand, two hundred and eighty,” he says, hugging his mother.
“Mom, there are still 5 minutes. I have collected 4,300,” he says, as tears of joy roll down his face.

In GTA Online the time trial Drainage Canal is active. The race is short and easy to win. Grab the 100,000 GTA dollars as a reward quickly now.
How to win the money? You can find the start of the current time trial on the open map of GTA Online. You do not need to start a race mode with other players, but drive alone from start to finish. Look for the purple stopwatch on the map; that’s the start.
The time for the race is tight. If you make it to the finish on time, you will receive 101,000 GTA dollars.
Which race is active? Currently, you will find the race “Drainage Canal”. You have 38.5 seconds to reach the finish line.
How to win “Drainage Canal” in GTA Online
The course of the track: This track is one of the easier time trials. After the start, you simply follow the canal. You don’t need to take any crazy shortcuts.
This is how the ride goes: After the start, you follow the track on the left side of the canal upwards. Try to steer as lightly as possible to lose little time.
Just before the finish line, there is a jump that you should steer in such a way that you do not fly too far to the right but stay on the path.
Braking is not recommended at any point, as time is really tight.
Video guide: To give you an overview of the route and the small jump just before the finish line, we are embedding a video from GTA-Series for you here.

Can you repeat the race? Yes, you can race it as many times as you want. The 101,000 GTA dollars can only be obtained once per active time trial week.
Which vehicle should you take? Motorcycles are particularly suitable for the track. If you want, you can also use a car with rocket propulsion, like the Vigilante, to reach the finish in time.
In Destiny 2 there are fresh updates about Shadowkeep. A new endgame activity has been revealed, and the new Moon map has been unveiled.
Here’s where the info comes from: On yesterday’s Monday, the opening of the gamescom 2019 took place, during which several livestreams were held. Bungie was well represented:
And in an Xbox stream, the developers talked about finishing moves, while surprisingly much footage of Shadowkeep was shown in the background – including a new endgame activity.

This can be seen in the video: Initially, Bungie’s Game Director Ben Wommack and Community Manager DeeJ introduce the finishing moves. These are new Guardian abilities that allow you to smash enemies once they have little health left. Each Guardian class has its own finishing moves.
In addition, a few artifact perks can be seen. The artifact provides seasonal, unlockable benefits under the Armor 2.0 system, such as these:
Bonus damage for all Arc melee attacks and bonus super energy on “finisher final blows”.
Overshield and reduced cooldown when activating Arc class abilities
And particularly interesting: A finishing move grants heavy ammunition to all team members, but consumes half of the super energy.
This is the new endgame activity: On the Moon map, there are several red symbols marking a fresh endgame activity in Shadowkeep. This is called “Nightmare Hunt: Servitude”:
It states that you must defeat the nightmare of Zydron, the Gate Lord, in one of these 3 Nightmare Hunts.
What we know about the “Nightmare Hunt”:
It is a cooperative activity
A fireteam of 1-3 players can play it
It rewards powerful gear (at level 1). Presumably, powerful gear will feature levels in the future.
The activity has various difficulty levels.
In Nightmare Hunt, you can select one of three “modes” that determine the difficulty:
Adept – Power level 860 is recommended
Hero – Power level 920 is recommended
Legend – Power level 950 is recommended
These tiers feature different modifiers. Additionally, for Adept and Hero, matchmaking is on, while for Legend, you must form a fireteam yourself.
Thus, Nightmare Hunt is expected to be an endgame activity that will present a challenge for all Guardians.
Regarding the nightmares you can hunt therein, it is known that Shadowkeep brings back many enemies from Destiny 1 in nightmare forms, such as Skolas, Omnigul, or Crota. Some nightmares can be seen in this gameplay trailer.
This is likely the new Moon map from: In the video above, snippets of the new Moon map are continuously visible. A user on reddit has already taken the effort to piece together the snippets and thus complete the map. With this result:
For comparison – this was the map of the Moon in Destiny 1:
New Strike: In addition, the name of a new strike on the Moon has been shown: The Scarlet Keep.
Soon World of Warcraft Classic will be launched. Those who have a lot of time or have already made arrangements can play the game “for free.”
In just under a week, it will be time, then World of Warcraft Classic will start and fulfill the fans’ long-standing dream of an Azeroth as it was nearly 15 years ago. However, some returning players or newcomers might not know how the payment for WoW Classic works or that they can pay for their subscription through the “normal” WoW.
No extra costs for WoW Classic, but you need an active subscription
What does WoW Classic cost? To be able to play World of Warcraft Classic, players do not need to purchase an additional game.
World of Warcraft, as the base game with many expansions, has long been free, you only pay the subscription each month – so 11 to 13 Euros, depending on the offer.
Buy WoW tokens and thus the subscription for gold
How can you play WoW Classic for free? You need an active subscription. However, you do not necessarily have to pay for it with money.
For a while now, there has been the principle of the “WoW Token” in World of Warcraft. Players can buy a WoW Token for real money and then sell it for gold in the game. Other players pay this gold and receive a WoW Token, which they can then exchange for 30 days of gameplay time.
So, if you have a lot of gold saved up, you can use this to save your account’s subscription fees. Since there is the same subscription for both the current WoW and WoW Classic, it is possible to finance the gameplay time in Classic through the WoW Token.
If you still have gold, you can use it: It will likely be particularly worthwhile for players who still have large amounts of gold from the time of Warlords of Draenor or Legion. Here, it was easy to acquire large amounts of gold that can now come into play.
This also works if you currently have no active gameplay time left. When you log into WoW and have enough gold, you will be asked if the gold from your account should be used to pay for gameplay time. This way, inactive players can also check if they have enough gold!
What does a WoW Token cost? A single token currently costs between 180,000 and 200,000 gold pieces and is subject to daily fluctuations. The amount of gold is likely too much to be earned “on the side” by most players. Only those who are really active in the retail version of WoW are likely to earn such a sum each month.
Particularly successful players, however, also sell services, such as a particularly difficult dungeon run at a high “Mythic+” level. This way, one can earn a decent amount of gold.
Is it worth it? The answer to that is a clear “It depends.” If someone plans to play both versions of WoW in parallel, paying through the WoW Token could be quite successful. However, those who have little time or are not good at speculating with items from the auction house are likely to invest much more time and energy into the endeavor than it is ultimately worth. Then the 11 to 13 Euros per month might actually be the better investment.
How will you pay for your WoW subscription for Classic? Traditionally? Or do you spend your gold from the retail version of back then?
The Epic Games Store secures another exclusive title that will be interesting for card game fans. However, it’s not really exclusive.
In
light of the upcoming Gamescom 2019, publishers and game developers are providing new information about their titles. One of them concerns Magic: The Gathering Arena (MTGA), one of the most eagerly anticipated card games of the near future. It has now been revealed that MTGA will be released on the Epic Games Store.
What restrictions are there? MTGA is not really exclusive, as the deal has a clear limitation. The Epic Games Store will only be the only “third-party” platform for the card game on PC. Those who do not wish to use the Epic Games Store can still download the game from the official Magic site and won’t need to go through the launcher.
The
deal simply means that MTGA will not be released on other PC platforms like Steam.
When will MTGA be released? However, no exact release date for the card game has been announced yet. The only timeframe given is “this winter,” which suggests early 2020. This date is likely also aimed at the end of the beta, as MTGA is currently still in open beta.
A competitor for Hearthstone? In the scene of digital collectible card games, MTGA is considered the “next big thing” that could dethrone the competitor Hearthstone from Blizzard. Many Hearthstone players find the stagnation of the game terrible and are hoping to find a solid alternative soon. Hopes are pinned on MTGA.
Will you play Magic: The Gathering Arena via the “Epic Games” launcher? Or is that a reason for you to avoid the game?

This is what you see in the video: The footage is an excerpt from a cutscene that you will see again in the Volta story mode of FIFA 20.
Two characters take a seat on a stage to watch a ball artist casually juggling with a ball, acrobatically swirling it around, revealing some pretty cool skills.
Meanwhile, one of the two spectators says: “Hey, how cool is that!” However, in the middle of the cutscene, the video ends and the Volta logo appears.
Cool, but more was expected: While the official gameplay trailer for Volta received overwhelmingly more upvotes than downvotes, this gamescom trailer has been accumulating thumbs down. Currently, nearly a third of the votes are negative ratings.
In the comments, many fans write that this looks pretty “nice”, the skills are intense, and the mode comes across as interesting, but they expected more for a gamescom presentation.
What is the story about? Your avatar has a dream: He wants to be invited to the VOLTA WORLD Championships in Buenos Aires and win the “ultimate small-field prize” there. For this, he must build a team that will help him achieve this.
You will not be a professional footballer like Alex Hunter in The Journey, but a street football player.
Today, on Tuesday, August 20th, you will be prompted to download a new patch for Fortnite on all platforms (PC/Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, iOS, Android). What will be included and what about maintenance? We have the information!
What is happening today in Fortnite? Since the beginning of Season 10, it seems that Epic has reserved Tuesdays for new patches and maintenance work. Last week, the new version 10.10 was supposed to go live on Tuesday, but it had to be postponed due to issues. Instead, there were many discussions about a dog.
Today, you will be prompted to download a patch that will not change the game version 10.10, but is supposed to offer new content. The twist: You won’t have to endure any maintenance.
Content Patch 10.10 in Fortnite – When and How Big?
When does the new patch come? It is expected to be around 2:00 PM German time, possibly a few minutes earlier or later. Then you will be prompted to download a patch. There will be no downtime, so you can immediately jump back in after the download.
How large will the update be? If Epic is not planning any massive features that are still unknown, the download size will be similar to previous content updates and not larger than a few hundred megabytes.
What’s included in the Fortnite Update 10.10?
Here’s what’s new in the Battle Royale mode: According to the in-game message, players can look forward to a new item, the Rifts. The functionality is already clear. Once activated, items will be thrown from the Rift at your enemy.
These items will likely cause damage to your opponents depending on their size. Which objects can come from these Rifts is still unknown, but leaks are already predicting dinosaurs, police cars, and other crazy stuff:
In addition, discussions about the large battle mechs are ongoing. After all, you can also decimate your own enemies blindly with a mech. Will Epic finally make adjustments here? Perhaps the new item could serve as a counter for the mech. It is certain that the usual small bug fixes will come to stabilize the player experience.
What’s included in the update for Save the World mode: According to the developer roadmap for August, only a few new features will be added today:
The rocket launcher Sixshooter
Cloaked Star will be driving the van this week
What do you think of the update and the new Rifts? What tactics might there be for it?

The countdown to the MMORPG ArcheAge has expired and the cat is out of the bag. ArcheAge Unchained is the new product and it does not require a subscription.
What is ArcheAge Unchained? The new MMORPG ArcheAge Unchained is basically the same game, but with adjusted rules. It will be Buy2Play and must thus be purchased only once.
The version will not have a subscription system, thus removing an important aspect of the current Pay2Win problem of the MMO.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ylTvtLdoK8w
In return, there should be a season pass that will include special rewards. However, there should be no gameplay advantages.
How do the two ArcheAge versions differ? According to the official FAQ about Unchained, both games are scheduled to receive the same major content update in autumn.
There seem to be no differences in terms of pure content. However, there are very clear adjustments in areas such as housing or work points.
This way, all players will receive the same number of work points and all are capped at 5,000. Housing is also available to all players. This is different so far.
Subscribers of the first game receive double the number of work points, have an increased cap, and exclusive access to their own residences.
Why was the actual game not changed? The developers originally wanted to make the changes to the monetization in ArcheAge itself.
There were some adjustments already with the new patch Haram, but a complete overhaul was not possible. Thus, they are now planning with two versions of the game that differ only in the business model.
When will ArcheAge Unchained be released and how much will it cost? The developers have not yet announced a specific release date. They are also keeping quiet about the costs in the FAQ.
However, there is a chance that we will learn more during the gamescom.
What do you think of the idea of a new ArcheAge without Pay2Win? Will you take another look at the MMORPG? In addition to ArcheAge, there are also other online games at gamescom 2019:
