Which games are coming to the release list: In the following paragraphs, you will find all upcoming MMO and multiplayer games, as well as major expansions, that will be released in 2019. To be listed among the 2019 releases, there must be a clear commitment from the developer.
This means: The game should have a release date or at least a narrow release timeframe. We will constantly update this list as further announcements or information become available. We have sorted the new releases for the year 2019 by quarters.

What are the highlights? As mentioned, AION: Legions of War is set to be a fully-fledged MMORPG that targets fans of the original. Additionally, there will be outstanding graphics not previously seen in a mobile game.
Another feature is the plethora of heroes that you can collect and combine. Up to one billion combinations are said to be possible.
What is Apex Legends? Apex Legends is a new battle royale game from the creators of Titanfall. The game even shares the setting with the mech shooter. However, there are no mechs and no wall walks. Instead, you start with 8 different heroes, the so-called legends.
What are the highlights? Apex Legends offers a faster gameplay and a more aggressive style than most battle royale games. With various legends, each possessing unique abilities, fights play out differently every time and require more tactics.
Currently, there is only the option to play in a team of three in Apex Legends. However, solo and duo modes are being discussed.
Far Cry: New Dawn (02/15/2019) – PC, PS4, Xbox One
What is Far Cry: New Dawn?Far Cry: New Dawn is the sequel to Far Cry 5. At the end of which, atomic bombs suddenly fell and devastated the land. But 17 years after the “collapse,” survivors begin to rebuild. However, they are disturbed by a psychopathic twin pair.
What are the highlights? Far Cry: New Dawn will offer similar gameplay as its predecessor. You will fight against the twins Mickey and Lou and gradually conquer their territories with the help of your companions. However, this time you can also undertake coop missions in remote regions, allowing you to discover the rest of America.
What is Anthem?Anthem is a coop shooter from Bioware. In it, you control mechanical exosuits in missions that take you into the wilderness outside your fortified outpost. There, monsters and loot await you.

What are the highlights? The cool Javelin exosuits are the stars of Anthem. Each Javelin has its own characteristics and application possibilities. Especially in teams of up to four players, the suits can fully exploit their strengths. Anthem is also supposed to offer a gripping story in Bioware quality.
What is Black Desert Online? This game is a sandbox MMORPG from Korea. You can freely develop and explore a beautiful large world with your heroes. Until now, there has only been Black Desert Online on PC.

What are the highlights? Black Desert Online is one of the most beautiful MMORPGs on the market. Alone the character editor allows you to create extremely detailed heroes. Additionally, there is a huge game world, tons of live skills, crafting, housing, a cool action combat system, and plenty of PvP in the endgame.
Attention: The Xbox version will initially launch with only 6 classes. The PC version already has 17. However, the missing classes are expected to be added gradually.
What is Devil May Cry 5? This is the next installment in Capcom’s hack-and-slash series. This time features Nero, Dante, and the new character V.
What are the highlights? Devil May Cry 5 features an online multiplayer mode for up to three players. In this mode, you can slaughter through hordes of monsters in coop.
The Division 2 (03.15.2019) – PC, PS4, Xbox One
What is The Division 2?The Division 2 is the sequel to Ubisoft’s MMO shooter The Division. The story continues here, and the agents move on to Washington. The second part is supposed to offer more content, especially in the endgame, and continue the story.
What are the highlights? The Division 2 will further develop its loot and equipment system and has drawn inspiration from the Exotics in Destiny. Additionally, there are plenty of new skills and various play styles to tackle missions and raids in the game.
A few games have also been announced for the 2nd quarter. As soon as we know more about the releases, this will be updated.
World War Z (04.16.2019) – PC, PS4, Xbox One
What is World War Z? World War Z is a zombie coop shooter. So if you enjoy mowing down absurd hordes of undead with friends, you will surely have fun here. The game is based on the movie of the same name.

What are the highlights? Zombie shooters are certainly not new, but World War Z aims to spice up the genre with a few new features. The zombies act as an intelligent swarm, finding very creative solutions to take you down.
Additionally, there is a special PvPvE mode where you fight against zombies and other players at the same time.
Similar to the cult classic Left4Dead, you have various classes to choose from, including a melee class, a weapon expert, or a healer.
Pagan Online (Early Access 04.18.2019/Release 08.27.2019) – PC
What is Pagan Online? Pagan Online is an action RPG by Wargaming, the creators of World of Tanks. This time, however, it’s not about tanks and grenades. Rather, you hack and slash your way through a fantasy world inspired by Slavic mythology as a mystical hero.

What are the highlights? Pagan Online mainly provides entertaining gameplay and is suitable for quick, action-packed battles in between. Each of the different heroes has unique skills and requires new tactics in the game.
Since Pagan Online relies on a dynamic action combat system using the WASD keys, your skill in controlling your heroes is particularly important.
The game has been in early access since April 18. The release is planned for August 27, 2019.
What is Mordhau? Mordhau is a so-called “multiplayer slasher,” a game in which you engage in detailed and complex melee combat with medieval weapons. Notable representatives of this genre include For Honor and Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.
As in these games, you roam in a large arena and bash each other’s skulls with all kinds of melee weapons. The martial name comes from a particularly brutal strike technique from the German fencing school of the Middle Ages.

What are the highlights? In Mordhau, realism is paramount. The weapons are implemented with physical accuracy in the game, and the direction of the strike plays a significant role.
Thus, you can perform so-called “feints,” feigning attacks and then changing direction. There are also complex combos and counterattack methods.
Additionally, friendly fire is always active. So those who swing their weapon like an idiot may hit more teammates than opponents.
What is Dauntless?Dauntless is an action MMO where you hunt giant monsters as a team. To defeat the beasts, you need to develop sophisticated tactics and target the weak points of the creatures. Dauntless has already been released for PC, and it is set to launch for PS4, Xbox, and Mobile in summer 2019. It strongly resembles Monster Hunter: World and offers a nice change of pace.
What are the highlights? Dauntless is free to play and can be played by anyone at no cost. Additionally, there is an evolving story and always new challenges with increasingly vicious beasts. You also craft new, stronger gear from the remains of the monsters.
What is Talion?Talion is another mobile MMORPG from the developer Gamevil. Thanks to the Unity engine, the game looks fantastic and offers action-packed battles and challenges such as raids and large PvP fights.

What are the highlights? To fully enjoy the fantastic graphics of Talion, you have a full 360-degree view. In the game, you can engage in raids with up to 20 players.
In PvP, up to 40 players compete in two teams of 20 for victory. Talion is already a hit in Japan and is being received much better than Royal Blood, Gamevil’s first AAA mobile MMORPG.
Conqueror’s Blade (June 03, 2019) – PC
What is Conqueror’s Blade?Conqueror’s Blade is a mix of an action MMO like For Honor and a strategy game. You command medieval troops in a battle, but also engage at the front with special skills and weapons.

What are the highlights? The developers have many different units in the game, each requiring its own playstyle and more or less blending well with your chosen commander hero. Besides battles, you also manage your kingdom and conduct strategic planning on a world map.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Elsweyr (06/04/2019) – PS4, Xbox One, PC
What is The Elder Scrolls Online?ESO is a large MMORPG set in the world of the popular Elder Scrolls games. The story takes place long before the other games in the series, such as Oblivion or Skyrim. ESO is expanded every year with several DLCs and a larger addon. In 2019, the expansion Elsweyr takes you to the cat-like Khajiit. The addon will be released on June 4, 2019, for all platforms, with PC pre-orders able to start on May 20.

What are the highlights? In the Elsweyr addon, the developers offer a ton of new content. You can finally explore the province of Elsweyr, the home of the Khajiit. What are the highlights? You have four different classes to choose from, which share over 180 different skills among themselves. In addition to a campaign, there will be additional modes that you can experience with up to three allies. The classes create unique synergies among each other. Besides online multiplayer, you can enjoy the game offline as well, as Warhammer: Chaosbane can be played entirely offline.
What are the highlights? In Dota Underlords, you face off against each other with well-known heroes from Dota 2 in automatic battles. You collect items and gold, buy heroes and upgrade them, and engage in battles to emerge victorious in the end. Harry Potter: Wizards Unite (06/22/2019) – Android and iOS
What is Wizards Unite?Wizards Unite is somewhat like the Harry Potter version of Pokémon Go. Just like in PoGo, you wander around with your smartphone looking for mysterious encounters in augmented reality. However, instead of looking for Pokémon, you look for magical creatures here.

What are the highlights? In Wizards Unite, the whole world is your playground. The landmarks of your city transform into hotspots for wizards. Numerous magical creatures from the Harry Potter universe have found their way into the game. The game gains special depth through a skill tree and the three professions, which remind of the typical classes from RPGs.
What is Teamfight Tactics? A new autobattler that is riding the hype of this new genre is Teamfight Tactics (Tactical Teamfight) from “League of Legends” developer Riot. Also inspired by Auto Chess, LoL now offers its variant. However, Teamfight Tactics comes as a new mode that expands the base game instead of being its own game.

What are the highlights? Similar to Dota Underlords, Teamfight Tactics offers a selection of unique heroes – here from the ranks of the champions of League of Legends. What are the highlights? The entire gameplay of Wolfenstein: Youngblood is designed for co-op. You play as one of the two sisters, your buddy the other. Together you kill your way through the hordes of Nazis lounging around in Paris.

What are the highlights? For fans of the old WoW, the Classic version is a revelation. Back then, everything went slower, and the game was more complex and had more depth for many players. Also, the game was not as polished and convenient back then.

What is Iceborne? This is a large, paid expansion for the game Monster Hunter World. The main game is also required. The release was in September 2019 for the Xbox and PS4 versions. PC players will get the addon later, in January 2020.

What are the highlights? In Iceborne, you will hunt new, frosty monsters in new, icy areas. There will also be new variants of known creatures. Additionally, there will be new quest ranks, moves, and equipment. The story continues, and possibly the new ultimate hunter rank “G” will be introduced.

As the sole survivor of a botched mission, you fight against a rogue elite squad and their drone machinery on a fictitious island.
What are the highlights? Breakpoint stays true to the successful formula of Ghost Recon. You can use your drones to scout the enemies and then either take them out precisely or charge in like Rambo and take them all down.
New additions include raids and an injury system that physically restricts you. You will limp slowly until you have treated yourself at the field camp.
What is ArcheAge Unchained? The new Unchained version of the MMORPG ArcheAge is essentially the same game.
Unchained is released directly with the new patch 6.0 and also includes all content from the current Free2Play version. The major difference is that you need to spend at least 26 euros for the game account.
What are the highlights? The MMORPG features Season Passes and a shop focused solely on cosmetic items. Pay2Win is said not to be present.
One of the Season Passes is free as a standard version. The other is a premium version that you pay with real money.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (25.10.2019) – PC, Xbox One, PS4
What is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare? The new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, not to be confused with the similarly named game from 2007, is the current installment of the CoD saga 2019.
It is developed by Infinity Ward and aims to deliver grounded shooter experiences in today’s era without much fanfare.
What are the highlights? The new CoD wants to return to the roots of the series. This means there is no science fiction fluff like in the unpopular Infinite Warfare, and pop culture elements like zombies are missing this time.
What is Red Dead Redemption 2? Since October 2018, players can already enjoy this Western adventure from Rockstar Games on PS4 and Xbox One. Fans had to wait a long time for the announcement of a PC version. However, about a year later, it was released and brings joy to PC players.
In Red Dead Redemption 2, you experience the story of an outlaw gang in the Wild West of a fictional America. You play in a vast, open world in 1899, which offers you a main storyline and many side quests. Through the missions, you intensely experience the story of RDR 2 and uncover many details about all characters in Red Dead Redemption 2 .
After a failed robbery in Blackwater, you are on the run as Arthur Morgan with the Van der Linde gang. You are wanted by federal agents and bounty hunters. Due to the many events that the group experiences together, conflicts arise. You must decide whether to act for yourself or in the interest of the gang you grew up with as Arthur Morgan.
Additionally, there’s an online mode that has been continuously filled with new content since release. Just recently, Rockstar Games added an RPG system with the three different roles Bounty Hunter, Trader, and Collector.
What is Sword and Shield? With these two games, the 8th generation arrives in the Pokémon universe. Numerous new Pokémon are waiting to be discovered, and various monsters from previous generations reappear. Pokémon Sword and Shield is the next installment in the Pokémon games, which had great success on the Gameboy back in the 90s.

Luke Smith has introduced players to the work on Destiny 2 with his blog posts in recent weeks. He even provided a small glimpse into the future. He may have even touched on a rumor about Destiny 3 that persists.
What are these rumors? Destiny 2 is still ongoing, but the rumor mill about a supposed Destiny 3 is already stirring. There are many theories about how the franchise will continue after Destiny 2.
Especially the theories about an open world are popular and are mentioned repeatedly.
What does Luke Smith say about it? In his blog series “Director’s Cut,” franchise head Luke Smith has written down his thoughts about the Destiny series. He didn’t go into detail about some things, or only hinted at them, like a possible return of the Trials in Destiny 2.

Soon, Mewtwo will return to Pokémon GO and will also bring the move Psystrike. But how strong will Mewtwo be with this attack?
When will Mewtwo return? The legendary Pokémon is part of the Ultra Bonus, which runs for 3 weeks in September. Mewtwo itself will only come in the last week, from September 16 to September 23.

Statistically, it is a solid attack, but it does not make Mewtwo extremely overpowered. Compared to the previous Psychic move Psyshock, the new attack performs slightly better. This is mainly due to two reasons:

Psystrike has two charge bars, allowing it to be used faster
The new attack is particularly interesting in gym battles. There, it is better to use a fast charge attack rather than a big one that takes a long time to charge.
Is the attack worth it? Psystrike does make Mewtwo better, but the difference to Psyshock is not very large. Having a Mewtwo with Psystrike on the team is definitely a good choice.
Nevertheless, one must consider that a Psychic Pokémon is rarely truly useful. The type is only effective against Fighting and Poison, and there are only a few Pokémon of those types in gyms and raids.
In WoW Classic, Blizzard announced the opening of a second German PvP server, Venoxis. However, this has led to an interesting discussion in the community in the WoW Forum: some fear a kind of self-fulfilling prophecy of a tipping server.
The German community initially fought for 2, then 4 servers for WoW Classic.
To switch or to stay?
This is the discussion about new servers: Even though players had long demanded that more WoW Classic servers come to Germany, the enthusiasm for the two new servers is subdued.
In the German forum of WoW Classic, there are discussions about who really switches, as Blizzard wishes:
Players fear switching to this “new server” only for it to quickly become deserted if the initial hype around WoW Classic dies down.
Other fans of WoW Classic have already settled on the server Lucifron, reserving their names and coordinating with their community.
The German realms are extremely unbalanced.
Some say, however, that they will switch – they don’t like large servers anyway, and on the new server, they would likely be rid of the competitive players.
Others say: I’ll wait and see how the rush looks. If there really are long queues, I will switch – but I don’t want to rush into anything.

This is the specific problem with Venoxis: With the opening of a second German PvP server with Venoxis, a new problem has arisen in WoW Classic: the faction balance on the servers is now important.
Some players fear that a server may “tip”, and if Lucifron has more players on the Horde side than on the Alliance side, playing as an Alliance character would be difficult.
The danger exists that a “tipping German server” could lead to players of the losing Alliance switching to the 2nd server, which could then also tip, in the other direction.
Blackhand, Blackrock, Eredar, Thrall, and Forstwolf were considered distinctly “Horde-friendly”.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available as the first open alpha in the 2vs2 mode on the PlayStation 4 online. Various streamers, including Dr Disrespect, have played it and provided feedback.
What is the alpha all about? From August 23 to 26, 2019, the long-awaited open alpha of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is running on the PlayStation 4. Anyone can participate in the open alpha. Now you have made preparations for leveling. You can either farm massacre bonuses in the Halls of Agony Level 1-3 or enter Nephalem Rifts and clear them.
Every 8-10 levels, you can try to craft a better weapon at the blacksmith.
Check regularly with the vendors in town if they have rings or amulets that grant “+ Damage”.
If you loot a head item with a socket, best place a red gem in there to gain more experience points. In weapon sockets, red gems are also recommended for more damage.
Level 24 – 40
The grinding starts now. You will start leveling in normal rifts. Adjust the difficulty according to your gear from time to time. If you find strong gear, you can ramp up the difficulty. If killing the monsters takes too long, reduce the difficulty.
At level 40, you will fully train the mystic.
Craft a level 70 2H weapon at the blacksmith. Make as many as you can until one of the secondary bonuses has a % affix. (% chance to freeze, blind, etc.)
Once you have such a weapon with a % affix, go to the mystic and roll the other secondary bonus. You want to achieve the reduction of level requirements – as close as possible to 30 levels.
Once you can equip the weapon, increase the difficulty. Start at Torment 6 and slowly adjust downwards.
At this point, you should (if all goes well) have a level 70 weapon at level 40, a legendary property in Kanai’s Cube, and items from Kadala.
Level 40 – 70
With this equipment, you will now fight through the normal rifts on Torment 6. If you notice that killing the monsters takes too long, switch to a lower difficulty.
Do normal rifts until you reach level 70. Some players start farming the last experience points through bounties 2-3 levels before reaching level 70. This way, you will also have some materials at level 70 and a bit of variety in the last stretch.
What build should you play? Once you have freshly reached level 70, play the build that currently fits your gear. Which build you aim for is up to you. The strongest classes and builds in Season 18 are shown in this tier list:
In Korea, the MMORPG Astellia has Gender Lock. There, each class can only be played by one gender. In the western version, this is supposed to change, and the first classes have already been adjusted.

Ratings not yet known: Last year, EA Sports released the Top 100 Ratings of the game in the weeks leading up to the release of FIFA 19. It is likely to happen similarly this year. We expect it in early September.

We were able to talk to the developers of Minecraft Dungeons at gamescom 2019, and they provided us with information about the game’s loot system.
What is Minecraft Dungeons? The premise of Minecraft Dungeons is simple: You fight alone or in co-op mode for up to 4 players through procedurally generated dungeons and collect a ton of loot to improve your character.
The game is best compared to Diablo and similar loot-oriented dungeon crawlers, all wrapped in the iconic Minecraft look.
Minecraft Dungeons will be released on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. It is being developed by a small team led by Dawid Nisshagen and Mans Olsen at Mojang. The two developers shared some information about the game in an interview.
How does the loot system work? While Minecraft Dungeons has no classes that players must commit to, there are still certain archetypes defined by the equipment.
The combination of armor, melee and ranged weapons, and the three artifacts defines your character. Let’s say I want a character who should be a very good ranged fighter. Then I would choose armor that gives me extra arrows.
Then I would take a big bow because it feels like a good weapon for a strong ranged fighter. And for my artifacts, I would take a fire quiver, which gives me fire arrows.

Players have a choice of many different types of weapons, each feeling different.
One of the central conditions of the loot system in Minecraft Dungeons was that players must immediately understand what they are facing. An item that looks like heavy armor should also have corresponding stats, according to Nisshagen.
You must be able to understand it instinctively. You shouldn’t have to think long or look closely at the numbers and instructions, but rather understand it on the spot. That’s one of the great things about the Minecraft franchise. It doesn’t have to be explained a lot, much is simply self-explanatory.

The locations of the items also follow this logic. It depends on the type of item, in which dungeon it can be found. If you’re looking for a pickaxe, you’ll find it in a mine where such items are used. If there are monsters in the area that carry these items, then the drop chance is correspondingly higher, explained Nisshagen.
Here’s how rarity levels work: The different levels of item rarity in games have now become a standard part of many gameplay systems, and Minecraft Dungeons is no exception. The loot in the game is divided into three rarity levels:

Unique items have special effects that permanently enhance you. For example, a sword could grant the player permanent lightning damage, said Mans Olsen.
If people with a specific playstyle want to create a build, they have to return to the specific dungeons [, where the loot drops] and restart the missions to get better versions of these items. And with higher difficulty comes new loot that they haven’t seen before.

What are Enchantments? Every piece of armor in Minecraft Dungeons has slots, and when acquiring items you receive a random selection of several enchantments that customize the item in various ways.
For example, with a bow, you might have the options: “Do I want Rapid Fire? Or would I prefer Multi-Shot? Or something completely different? This means that even if you find two completely identical bows, they will have different enchantment options.

If you’re lucky, you might get a normal weapon, but the enchantment on it is just amazing. And that makes it very, very powerful. However, there are still rare and unique versions of this weapon, and while they are generally better, if you’re unlucky, you might get a rare bow with enchantments that don’t fit your playstyle, explained Nisshagen.

The enchantments have a range of properties:
Items always have a guaranteed enchantment slot and a maximum of 3
The higher the rarity of the item, the higher the likelihood of multiple slots
The enchantments also have three rarity levels: normal, rare, and powerful
The enchantments can be upgraded up to 3 times. Powerful enchantments consume more points, but are accordingly stronger.
The difference between two and three slots [on an item] is huge. This means that even if you find a stronger weapon with higher base damage, but it has fewer enchantments, it will probably be worse.

Olsen explained that the team wanted to make Minecraft Dungeons as accessible as possible: “We are […] big fans of dungeon crawlers like Diablo and wanted to create something that we ourselves enjoy, with enough depth and complexity. Therefore, we try to find a good middle ground.”

What does the search mean? At Dexerto, there is speculation about whether the exact naming of the tasks implies special significance. The plural “missions” could indicate that work is being done on a clear PvE story mode, perhaps even a completely standalone game. After all, there has been speculation for some time about an “Overwatch 2,” which is said to play like a Left 4 Dead – that would then be a co-op game.

How is Zenimax handling the issue? All guilds that received gold through multi-bidding will have the extra gold removed from their guild banks.
If Zenimax needs to take more gold from the bank than is available, the bank will be reduced to 0 gold. If the guild still has no money in the bank, their bids on guild traders this week will be canceled and the outstanding gold will be taken from these bids.
Some guilds and individuals who heavily abused the bug and tried to move, spend, or launder the money will be treated separately. It is said that appropriate measures will be found.

What is special about the trailer? On one hand, the trailer gives the impression that the game is quite far along. This can be misleading, as it seems to be in-game graphics, but no real gameplay is shown.
On the other hand, it is finally a sign of life from the MMORPG part of Ashes of Creation. Currently, there is an impression that the developers are focusing on the battle royale part, Ashes of Creation: Apocalypse. Recently, a test phase started again for this.
Work on the MMORPG continues
What’s new regarding the MMORPG? As the team announced in July, work is continuing on the MMORPG alongside Apocalypse. Creatures for the world are currently being created, including horses. The developers are also working on internal systems that are very important for Alpha 1.
Trade routes are an important aspect of the game. Caravans must be protected, and other players can raid them. Additionally, trade can lead to players building good or bad relations with other cities – even wars are possible.
Work on the MMORPG part of Ashes of Creation is thus progressing, and the new trailer makes it exciting again to finally be able to play the online game.
At gamescom 2019, our author Jürgen had a special mission: to test Google Stadia and see for himself if the game streaming service delivers on its promises.
What is Google Stadia?Google Stadia is a game streaming service. According to the concept, as a Stadia customer, you can stream a lineup of games in their current versions and in high quality directly to a device such as any PC, a television, or a mobile device.
Your hardware is independent of this. Theoretically, you could play high-quality titles, such as Borderlands 3, Cyberpunk, and Doom Eternal on an old computer or even a tablet, wherever you have a sufficient internet connection.
That all sounds great, but does it actually work? At gamescom 2019, I, Jürgen, was able to try out Stadia for the first time.

What did Jürgen play? At the large stand of Google Stadia, one could try out the games Mortal Kombat 11 and the upcoming Doom Eternal for the first time on Google Stadia. I chose Doom, as the shooter has long been on my list of interesting games.
How did the game go? I was placed at a spot where Doom was streamed via a small notebook to a large monitor. Unfortunately, I only had the Stadia controller as an input device. It looks cool, but I just cannot play shooters well with a gamepad.
Yet I struggled through the tutorial and initially enjoyed the stylish opening sequence in which the Doom Slayer strides through the headquarters of the military, and everyone steps back in awe before him.
Shortly thereafter, the action began, typical Doom. And what can I say? The game ran smoothly and looked good. I defeated masses of monsters, caused a lot of explosions, and slaughtered helpless demon spawn with the various special kill moves that Doom Eternal dishes out even more brutally than its predecessor.
Everything ran really smoothly, and one did not feel that everything was not running locally on the computer, but via a distant server farm. However, it was also not known what kind of internet connection Google had provided for Stadia at the fair and whether everything was actually live-streamed.
But if this is the performance that Stadia can deliver with a typical internet connection, then I am convinced.
Jürgen’s Conclusion on Stadia
These are my hopes: I have been considering whether I should pre-order Stadia for a while now, and ultimately Stadia convinced me at gamescom to give it a chance. Whether it’s Borderlands 3, Cyberpunk, ESO, or Doom Eternal: almost every game I want to play in 2019 and 2020 is available in the current game lineup for Stadia.
How awesome would it be to stream these games on a tablet anytime or to start every evening on the computer without annoying updates? Especially as a new father, I have very little time to play, and every minute wasted on updates is a nightmare. With Stadia, however, I could jump right in and wouldn’t have to upgrade my hardware anymore.
And if Stadia ever supports my Samsung mobile devices – which I assume it will – I could even play a round of Doom on the go or complete my daily crafting tasks in the Stadia version of ESO.
These are my concerns: On the other hand, there are still a few worries that no one could dispel at gamescom 2019:
Are accounts and progress on Stadia compatible with the regular versions of the game? If I buy Borderlands or Cyberpunk regularly and later play on Stadia, do I have to start from scratch?
Can I even play with PC or console players, or are Stadia players left to themselves?
Does the stream really work reliably, or does Stadia possibly drop out often, leaving you unable to play for hours?
I hope that these questions will be answered soon and that Stadia could indeed become the promised future of gaming.
But enough about me, have you tested Stadia already or are you planning to get it? Or are you still skeptical?
Shortly before Gamescom, Gamigo announced a new version of the MMORPG ArcheAge. This will feature a Buy2Play model and will no longer include Pay2Win elements. We summarize everything about the new version.
What are the main differences between the versions? The main difference is the monetization:
The regular ArcheAge operates on a Free2Play model with an item shop – there is still an optional subscription
ArcheAge Unchained will be released as a Buy2Play game with an item shop and a season pass
What does the season pass offer? The so-called ArchePass will come in two variants:
The Standard Pass is free and offers a new currency which you can exchange for cosmetic rewards and titles, and you also receive reward potions that provide small advantages in the game
The Premium Pass costs 10 dollars and also offers the new currency, but no reward potions
The ArchePasses are intended to run for three months and then be replaced by new ones. You will have to unlock the contents through daily missions such as fighting against monsters or other players.
What does the in-game shop of ArcheAge Unchained offer? Only cosmetic items should be available for purchase. More detailed information will be provided later. There will be no Pay2Win items. Gamigo aims to create a fair game.
What else is different between the game variants? In ArcheAge Unchained, there will be no Apex, the special currency that grants you credits. Additionally, there is no optional subscription.
You do not need a subscription in Unchained to be able to build houses. Anyone can build.

When does ArcheAge Unchained start? The new version currently does not have a launch date. The new publisher Gamigo will announce this as soon as it is confirmed.
How much does the Buy2Play version cost? There is currently no price.
Will it be possible to transfer characters, items, and credits between the versions? No. Both game versions have a different economy. Therefore, you will need to start completely over if you want to play ArcheAge Unchained.
Why isn’t the existing version of the MMORPG simply switched over? Gamigo explains that ArcheAge has its own economy. A simple switch would affect it significantly, possibly even destroy it.
Will both versions receive new content? Yes. Upcoming updates with new content such as the planned overhaul of the siege system and the Swiftblade skills will be released for both versions.
What are the previous reactions? Generally, ArcheAge Unchained is well received. Fans are excited to see how this Buy2Play variant plays. However, there are still some questions open. In addition to the release date and price, many wonder how building will work if everyone can do it without restrictions.
Moreover, there is the question whether the two versions will not split the players. Additionally, players want to know how hacks and exploits will be handled.
The interest in ArcheAge Unchained is high, and many hope that the MMORPG will play more fairly due to the Buy2Play model. However, Gamigo still has some questions to answer.
ArcheAge Unchained is essentially intended to offer you a new and different way to experience the MMORPG.
The new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was released in October 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. One special feature: players on consoles can choose to play with mouse and keyboard. However, they will then compete against PC players or other console players with a mouse in hand.

What problems can arise here? The pioneer Fortnite faced difficulties with this system.
The problem in Fortnite was that players using certain emulators pretended to be playing with a controller, while they were actually using a mouse and keyboard. This gave them the advantage of both systems: they had aim assist and controller players as opponents, while they were using a mouse and keyboard.
Epic had to patch – the developer of the emulator released counter patches, causing unrest.

In this tier list, you will find the best classes, builds, and gear of Season 18 of Diablo 3. In this season, you can also benefit from changes to the Legacy of Nightmares set.
Season 18 in Diablo 3 starts – what does that mean? All your previous seasonal characters will be converted to non-seasonal characters. Your collected Paragon points will be added to the main account.
This means that you start from “zero” at the beginning of each season. You can create a new character and must complete all levels anew as well as rise through the Paragon ranks again.
In addition, there are again new rewards from Haedrig’s Seasonal Journey, such as a complete set, a new portrait frame, and more.
Therefore, it is all the more important that you level up quickly, as the real endgame begins only at level 70.
What’s new in Season 18? In addition to the new rewards from Haedrig’s Seasonal Journey, there is another change to the previous season: The ring set Legacy of Nightmares provided you with exorbitant bonuses as long as you did not wear set items. In the new Season 18, just a single gem is enough to achieve this effect.
This has the advantage that you can freely choose your rings as long as you have the gem “Legacy of Dreams” socketed. This potentially opens up new ways to become even stronger and achieve higher levels of Greater Nephalem Rifts.
In the following tier list, you will often find the abbreviation “LoN”, which stands for Legacy of Nightmares. As you can see, the respective builds then build on this bonus.
Who actually creates this tier list? Diablo expert Rhykker (Rhykkers YouTube Channel) is now a living legend among Diablo players and has been providing the community with current builds and analyses for each season in Diablo 3 for many years. The basis for creating this list are extensive tests on the PTR of Diablo 3 and theory crafting.
What do the individual tiers of the tier list mean? The “tiers” represent gradations of the best classes and their respective builds. Combinations in Tier S are considered the best in the entire game, while builds in Tier F are regarded as weaker.
Weaker, however, does not mean bad in this case. The differences between the tiers have tended to decrease in the past seasons. Therefore, this tier list does not represent the absolute truth, but rather gives a rough direction of which setup can successfully compete at the top of the leaderboards.

The Witch Doctor made a tremendous leap to the front in the last season and can maintain its positions in the current season as well. All three best builds land in the top categories.

This will be eased: Stage 2 of the Jirachi special research presents you with the task “Evolve a Magikarp”. This can be quite difficult, as the Water Pokémon is not found everywhere and you need a total of 100 candies.

The Water event provides relief here, as Niantic has already confirmed that Magikarp will appear more frequently, especially around bodies of water. So those who do not have enough Magikarp candies will certainly be able to refill their candy stock.
This bonus is also good: Another good thing is that Water Pokémon will find candies twice as fast during the event. Instead of 5 km, you only need to walk 2.5 km for one candy.
How to quickly complete the task: If you are still at the very beginning of the challenge, you should already place a Magikarp as your buddy. This way you can already collect some kilometers for the evolution.
Does the event help in another area? At stage 3, you will need to find a total of 3 candies with your buddy. If you have a Magikarp or Wailmer as your buddy during the event, you only need to walk 500 meters per candy. So the task is completed after 1.5 km.

In Destiny 2, Bungie finally comments on the Solar Week that was discovered in the datamining.
Here’s what the Solar Week is about: In mid-July, a dataminer published information about the summer event “Solstice of Heroes”, which he found in the game data. This information subsequently turned out to be correct.
However, the datamining also revealed two “contents” that have yet to make it into the game:

“We currently have no plans for a Solar Week. Sorry for the bad news, I’m just stating the facts.
We have neither communicated a [Solar Week] nor shown it on a roadmap. If we ever hold one, you will hear it from us.”

This means: It looks grim that a Solar Week in Destiny 2 will start anytime soon – despite the datamining results.
Either Bungie has scrapped the Solar Week because they need to focus on other things right before the Shadowkeep launch.
And it’s also possible that Bungie only included this text in the game files to lead curious Guardians astray.
This is what Bungie says about datamining: In addition to the response quoted above, dmg04 also wrote a note in parentheses. One should not always trust datamining, according to the community manager.
In the past, items or upcoming content have often been discovered in datamining that either did not make it into the game or came much later. One of the most prominent lines is the Wardcliff Coil, which had its first traces in the data as early as year 2 of Destiny 1 and caused speculation for 2 years as a microphone rocket launcher.
