Twitch star Turner “Tfue” Tenney is considered one of the best Fortnite players in the world. What tips does he have for players who want to improve in Fortnite? It’s about ping, controls, and the right controller settings between “linear” and “legacy.”
Unlike most “big Fortnite streamers” who are pure entertainers, Tfue is quite a serious player. He was able to qualify for the World Championship in 2019, although he didn’t play a major role there.

The LoL pro Gao “Tian” Tian-Liang (19) became the world champion in 2019 and was the most valuable player in the finals as a jungler. He tells how his career in League of Legends began: with a dream when he was 15 and with Age of Empires.
Who is that? Just a year ago, even hardcore experts did not know Tian. He was the substitute jungler for Suning, a team in the 2nd Chinese league. After all, Tian is only 19, so he had hardly any time to make a name for himself in LoL.
In December 2018, Tian joined FunPlus Phoenix. They were only fifth in China in 2018 and were just reinventing themselves. In doing so, the 19-year-old Tian shone with consistently world-class performances in the jungle of LoL. He dismantled the world elite in the jungle position one after another, including Broxah from Fnatic and Jankos from G2 Esports. Tian led his team to victory. He was even crowned Finals MVP.
Career started with a dream
This is the story of Tian: Tian tells on “ThePlayerstribune” the story of how he became a professional eSports player. His passion for gaming was ignited early by his father, who was himself a gamer. Tian watched his father play Age of Empires when he was only 6 years old. Gradually, Tian got to play himself.

But the idea of becoming a LoL pro was actually far away. Tian says: Like all Chinese children, he was intensely focused on his education; everything revolved around school. Many in his family were doctors, and it was also expected that he would become a doctor – an idea that Tian did not like at all.
The turning point came in the spring of 2015. Tian was 15 years old and played League of Legends all the time. He was good, even very good, but the idea of becoming a pro was still far away.
At that time, the Chinese jungler Ming “Clearlove” Kai from EDward Gaming was Tian’s great role model. He oriented his own game by that.

Faker was already the “unkillable Demon King” in 2015.
In the finals, EDward Gaming and SKT1 faced each other again. Tian says he was so excited the night before the finals that he dreamed about it. This was not really unusual for him; he played so much LoL late at night that he often dreamed about League of Legends.
Tian dreamed the MSI finals would go to game 5. During the draft, Clearlove picked Evelynn and ultimately won.
When the series actually took place the next day, it went to match 5, and indeed, Clearlove chose the champion Evelynn, and EDward Gaming won the MSI tournament.
Tian says: From that day on, he knew he would become a LoL pro. His mother and relatives did not like the idea, but he found an ally in his father who supported him and was able to convince his mother that their son would become a professional LoL player.
I don’t know how he managed it… but he did.

Setback at 18
How did it go then? Tian ended up in the “LDL,” the 2nd Chinese LoL league with Young Miracles, which is considered a talent factory. Some excellent players come from there. Tian says:
My career started well, I shuffled through a few teams and had decent success.

In 2018, Tian played for Suning in the 2nd league, but had a difficult time here. They lost 3 games in a row with Tian as jungler, so he rotated out of the lineup while mid laner Knight became the star of the team.
Knight was the same age as Tian, and the two were friends. Tian says he was happy for his friend’s success, but he was also jealous, as things were not going well for him at all. He was sitting on the bench while another jungler started for him.
Tian’s career seemed to be over before it even began. Tian says he became depressed, couldn’t sleep anymore, and was plagued by fears. He saw no future for himself in League of Legends. After a disappointing end of the season at Suning, Tian was at rock bottom, but then came the offer to participate in a trial for FunPlus Phoenix.
The team was not particularly good at the time, but it was a new start, a chance.

Tian says:
“I would have played for FPX even without a salary. I would have done whatever it took. All I ever wanted was to show the world what kind of player I could be.”
The time at FunPlus Phoenix then went much better than expected. Tian says:
Slowly I realized, man, we’re good. I mean, really, really good.

Tian believes that what connects the players at FunPlus Phoenix is that they were all somehow cut, deemed failures, and had to hope for a new opportunity.
Ultimately, FunPlus Phoenix won the Worlds and Tian could hardly believe that he was now sitting in Paris and was a world champion while he had sat on the bench at Sunning a year earlier.
What’s behind it: The 2019 World Championship of FunPlus Phoenix is unusual. Normally, teams that consistently compete at the top and gradually improve win.
FunPlus Phoenix was only founded at the end of 2017 and hardly played a role in professional LoL in 2018.
In 2019, they put everything on the Korean mid laner “Doinb”. He has an unconventional style. He doesn’t stay in his lane but is found everywhere. He roams a lot. The until then unknown Tian was brought in as a jungler who could handle this unusual playstyle.
Somehow FunPlus Phoenix struck gold with these 2 recruitments: The two joined the team in 2019, which had achieved nothing in 2018. But suddenly they had an explosive cocktail and the best team in the world. Maybe there was indeed some fate at play.
For 2020, FunPlus Phoenix remains together in this form and adds another world-class player:

Moreover, Sniebel can be Shiny. So if you don’t have one yet, you can hope for one with good IV here. This would also be a good candidate for a lucky trade.

What is GDQ 2020 all about?GDQ stands for Games Done Quick. It is a charity organization that raises funds for charitable causes through speedrunning in games.
During the corresponding GDQ events, games from various genres and generations of video game history are played. The whole event is streamed live. The participants also explain many tricks during their runs, how they achieve the fastest times and give tips to the viewers.
What does Destiny 2 have to do with it? This year at GDQ 2020, Destiny 2 was also included for the first time – with a speedrun in the Forsaken raid Last Wish.
This was completed in just under 30 minutes by the raid team, but that was not the actual highlight of this run.
That was the big highlight at the end: The speedrunners had their show stolen at the end of their run – and it was by RNG-sus himself.
As the raid was basically completed, it came to the 25 infamous chests, from which you can draw raid loot with Aether Keys – all live in the stream. What should you do? Simply run to three of these locations within a match. You will find the bus stops there. Which three places you visit is up to you. Move close to the stops so that the visit counts for you.
The fastest route: The three stops are located close together to the east and south of Craggy Cliffs. If you land there and visit them one after the other, you will complete the task in just a few moments.

Tenacity makes you crawl 50% faster while you can recover at the same time. Thanks to “Unbreakable,” the recovery speed is also increased by 35%. When the killer picks you up from the ground, “Flip-Flop” ensures that 50% of your recovery status is converted into wiggle progress – up to a maximum of 49% of the bar. As a result, the killer can only carry you for a short distance before he has to drop you.
“Boil Over” additionally ensures that this distance becomes a challenge for the killer as it makes him sway more to the sides and simultaneously obscures the aura of hooks within a 14-meter radius.

Honestly, I’m surprised at how often I’ve been able to escape with this combination of perks and what kind of impact “Boil Over” can have on maps with narrow corridors. For me, it’s definitely one of the underrated perks in the game.

Why was Pokémon GO so successful in 2019?
This is behind the success: Not only in terms of revenue was 2019 a true success year for Pokémon GO. Niantic held a total of 3 GO Fests and numerous Safari Zones. For the GO Fests alone, tickets were sometimes over 40 euros each. However, this money should be added on top of the 894 million. Only the revenues from app stores were considered there, while tickets for the GO Fest could be purchased outside the shop.

Additionally, there was the live event with Regigigas, which took place in November 2019. For $7.99, players could participate worldwide in an event that brought a special research with Regigigas and further bonuses. Many players likely jumped at the opportunity and contributed a lot of money.
The introduction of Team GO Rocket was also interesting. This provided Pokémon GO with the fourth and fifth best months in history in August and September. Team Rocket was eagerly awaited by many trainers and likely brought back several returnees and newcomers to the game. Upon release, many players complained about the lack of potions, which were certainly also bought in the shop.
September, in particular, was exceptionally strong with a revenue of 126 million dollars. The Ultra Bonus also took place then, which brought Shiny Mewtwo and new Pokémon from Gen 5. What is the truth of Gladd’s objections? Regardless of how one ultimately views Gladd’s objections – it cannot be denied that he is right about some things.
Even if some new elements have been added over time that clearly address core players, such as Armor 2.0, the additional armor stats, or the random rolls – Destiny 2 has indeed become noticeably easier in many places (but not everywhere) in recent months.
Difficult quests like the Whisper Sniper are currently hard to find. There are also hardly any challenging puzzles, like the Niobe Lab Puzzle. The most challenging activities at the moment seem to be the 980 Nightfall and the raids – aside from that, there is hardly anything left in terms of challenging engagement.
Whereas it used to take entire seasons to obtain some top weapons, many can now be obtained in just weeks or days. And the new ritual weapons cannot compete in terms of quality or the challenge of their quests.
In general, much is handed to players. The power level now essentially plays a secondary role. Recent examples of the trend towards simplification are the legendary sundial activity and the exotic quest (if you can even call it that) for the Devil’s Ruin pistol.
The new difficulty level of the sundial (the hardest activity of Season 9) comes in at power level 950 – 30 levels below the current cap and below the hardest Nightfall from the previous season, which can be further overleveled with the artifact. The activity does not differ much from the regular version apart from some modifiers, poses no real challenge for most guardians, and offers little incentive to play it.
Moreover, the new exotic quest is not well-received by many. Although the great dialogues and Shaxx’ singing compensate for this quest design for some guardians, many are dissatisfied with this way of introducing new exotics into the game. Because as part of the new quest, the new weapon exotic is essentially given for free once you receive the quest. One does not have to do much for it.

The next phase of World of Warcraft Classic has been announced. Soon there will be “new” raids and other exciting content.
For several weeks now, players of World of Warcraft Classic have been engaging in PvP and trying to earn rewards for the highest ranks. This often leads to frustration. But it won’t be long before the next phase begins, bringing even more content. In addition to a new raid, there are fresh reputation rewards, class quests, and the famous Darkmoon Faire.
When does Phase 3 start? The third phase of WoW Classic officially starts on February 12, 2020, which is in a little more than four weeks.
What does Phase 3 include? The release on February 12 will unlock the following content:
Blackwing Lair (engl. Blackwing Lair, short BWL) – A new raid with Nefarian as the final boss. Here, players can earn a significant portion of the popular T2 set.
Class quests – New class quests for all classes starting at level 50. Some of the quests offer rewards that will likely be “Best in Slot” for many characters for a long time.
New reputation rewards – The Argent Dawn, Thorium Brotherhood, and the two Warsong factions will receive new reputation rewards.
Pre-quest available now: To facilitate quick access to the next raid BWL (Blackwing Lair), players must complete a quest chain. This “Attunement Quest” named “Blackhand’s Command” can be started from today, January 10, 2020. The quest starts with the Scarshield Quartermaster, located at the end of a small corridor, right next to the entrance to Blackrock Spire. Kill him and loot the item “Blackhand’s Command” to start the quest.
If you complete the quest chain, you can teleport directly into the raid at the orb at the end of the hallway next to the entrance to Blackrock Spire. Anyone planning to raid here should complete this quest promptly.

What type of mod is this? The mod “Shadows of Skelos – Extended” was created as an extension for the German-speaking roleplay server “Shadows of Skelos” in Conan Exiles. As the author revealed to us, it was switched to English after a database error and due to the growing number of subscribers from its originally bilingual development.
If you want, you can create your own RP server with this and a number of other mods. A link to the community’s Discord servers and further assistance is available on Steam (link further down).
What does it change? “Shadows of Skelos” adds over 900 new items, new talents, and recipe books to the game. This also includes new workbenches for crafting the new items.
Who is the mod for? The mod is primarily aimed at roleplayers, i.e., players who want to embody a character. Many players with the same interests meet on “Shadows of Skelos.”
Those who want to play Conan Exiles with the “Shadows of Skelos” mod should be open to it. In conversation, an admin of the server revealed to us that the community is happy to help newcomers. Interested players can see if they feel comfortable.
Even PvE players like to use the mod to make dungeons more atmospheric.
Usually, anyone who disturbs others during roleplay will quickly be warned or even removed. For private servers, the mod only adds new items, which are mostly cosmetic in nature. If you are only interested in gameplay elements like building and combat, the mod is only worth it to a limited extent.

However, “Roleplay” also introduces features to the game that “Shadows of Skelos” does not offer. The mod is more suitable for the more traditional type of roleplay (like pen-and-paper).
The Överflöd Imorgon is now the most expensive sports car in GTA 5 Online. However, players are dissatisfied with its top speed. Is it worth the purchase?

In the shooter Apex Legends, a new event will take place in January. During the Soiree Arcade, 7 different game modes will appear within 14 days, each lasting only 2 days. You can earn some rewards and even 4 new skins through these.

The legendary Pokémon Regigigas remains in the EX Raids of Pokémon GO for now. This is surprising, as it was actually supposed to disappear a few days ago.
So was the plan with Regigigas: At the announcement as a new EX Raid boss, it was stated that Regigigas should stay until January 7. After that, Niantic planned to replace the raid boss.
Three days after January 7, Niantic now speaks up and confirms that Regigigas will stay a bit longer.

How long will Regigigas stay? Niantic has not provided any information on this yet. So far, only the developers’ support has commented on the topic via Twitter.

They only stated that Regigigas will stay in the raids longer. They did not specify a timeframe.
Are the raids still worth it? From a purely stats perspective, Regigigas is a really strong Pokémon. Unfortunately, it is only a Normal type and does not have a good moveset. As an all-rounder, it is solid, but Regigigas will probably never be an effective counter against another Pokémon. You can find a detailed analysis of Regigigas’s strength here.
Regigigas is therefore not as rewarding as Mewtwo was, for example. All in all, it is better than Deoxys, but you don’t have to try to include it in every raid.
What’s strange about the EX Raids: The communication between Niantic and the players regarding the EX Raids with Regigigas seems a bit odd.
In general, many players were surprised that Regigigas was supposed to be available only until early January. That would only have been about 3 months, relatively short for an EX Raid boss.
Moreover, Niantic has not commented for days about a potential new boss. After all, players have been asking for a while about what happens after Regigigas. Only now, three days after the actual end, does Niantic come forward and extend the EX Raid boss.
What could come after Regigigas? The list of mysterious Pokémon that could be introduced through EX Raids is long. We have already made speculations for a potential successor before Regigigas.
Hot candidates include Arceus or Shaymin.

In 2019, new MMORPGs excelled particularly on mobile platforms. Especially Black Desert Mobile has gathered many positive reviews after a weaker start. PC players primarily received Asian MMORPGs like Astellia or ArcheAge Unchained.

In the current Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, cheaters have found a particularly nasty way to ruin the match for regular players. They hide in walls or outside the map and can easily take out everything they can get in their sights.
A Ground War player didn’t want to put up with this and gave the cheaters what they deserve: a ticket to the spawn screen – and with their own weapons.

Now, the Redditor “xBRITISHxM8x” can officially call himself “certified anti-cheater” on his calling card.
He drove the infantry tank to a typical wall hacker spot, greeted briefly and shot through the walls of the inconspicuous house to take out a total of 3 cheaters. Or rather, out of the wall.
This worked so well because the tank’s gun cheats a bit by sticking partially in the wall of the house.

What else has been discovered? In addition to the confirmation of this quest line, there are also two small in-game cutscenes hidden in the game files. They are named:

In the Alliance, Tyrande is not very pleased with the peace and travels with her Night Warriors to the World Tree Nordrassil to hunt Sylvanas from there. She has turned away from Elune and openly questions the goddess.

What does this mean for the future? With the peace treaty, the foundation for the next expansion “Shadowlands” is laid. There will be little conflict between Alliance and Horde, instead, it will be about solving the issues in the Shadowlands. It is to be expected that the heroes of Horde and Alliance will cooperate from time to time.
