In Pokémon GO a new costumed Pikachu could soon come to the game. Dataminers found avatar outfits that suggest the Wrestler Pikachu.
What exactly was discovered? Dataminer Chrales found a complete outfit for your avatar that could soon be available in the shop. You can dress your avatar like a Wrestler Pikachu.
The outfit suggests that this special costumed Pikachu might soon come to the game. In line with this, some trainers have already made plausible assumptions.

What is suspected for the release: The Wrestler Pikachu could come just in time for the launch of the PvP League. After all, it is a fighter and would fit well with Trainer Battles.
The only two Pokémon that could learn Flying Press in the console games were Resladero and Wrestler Pikachu. Since Resladero is from Generation 6 and will not be appearing yet, Flying Press could be mastered by the special costumed Pikachu.
What to keep in mind: So far, only the avatar outfit has been found. Wrestler Pikachu itself has not yet appeared. This could be introduced at a later date, but that remains to be seen.
What is behind Wrestler Pikachu? Wrestler Pikachu appeared in the console games Ruby and Sapphire. There, you could obtain a Cosplay Pikachu, which could wear the costume of a Wrestler among others. Besides the Wrestler, there were also costumes of a rocker or a professor.
The Wrestler Pikachu is inspired by a luchador; in Mexico, “Lucha Libre” is professional wrestling. There, fighters wear the typical masks.
These are all 5 costumes of the Cosplay Pikachu. Source: PokéWiki
When could the PvP League come? The PvP League and possibly Wrestler Pikachu is expected to appear sometime in Spring 2020.
Echtra Games has given Torchlight Frontiers (PC) the new name Torchlight 3 and is changing the game mechanics to return to its roots. Thus, the game will no longer be an MMO, and the free-to-play model is off the table.
You were supposed to travel in a persistent online world, team up with other players, and fight monsters together. Furthermore, it was planned that the world would continuously evolve.

What has been announced now? As Max Schafer announced, Torchlight Frontiers is now called Torchlight 3. The new name is intended to clarify the direction the game is now taking. Back to the roots is the motto.
When we started the development of Torchlight Frontiers, we focused on creating a shared world. During development, you often discover what kind of game you want to develop, and we realized that Torchlight Frontiers should be a true successor to Torchlight I & II. Based on this insight and the numerous feedback from our alpha testers, we decided to bring the game back to its roots and design it after the classic Torchlight games that have become so popular with ARPG fans. We would like to thank our dedicated player community for their support and constructive feedback during the early development phase.
Max Schaefer, CEO of Echtra Games and co-founder of the Torchlight franchise
Torchlight Frontiers is now called Torchlight 3.
This is how the new Torchlight 3 is supposed to look
What exactly is changing? There are a whole host of changes, ranging from game mechanics to the payment model.
The MMO elements are taking a back seat. Most game areas are now set to private by default. You will not meet other players there.
You can recruit players for your missions in the cities.
The entire character progression system is being changed. There is no more horizontal development. You will improve your hero similarly to Torchlight 1 and Torchlight 2 linearly.
Companions like in the predecessors will support you, including an alpaca, an owl, and a dog.
You will follow the story in the game now based on a classic act structure.
You will choose between an online and an offline mode during character creation. However, an offline hero cannot play online.
There is no in-game store anymore where you can buy with real money.
The game will no longer be released with a free-to-play model, but as a buy-to-play title on Steam.

How are players reacting to the adjustment? Opinions are somewhat divided. Some were looking forward to an MMO in the Torchlight universe and are now disappointed, while others welcome the adjustment.
Urza1234 writes on reddit: “If I wanted to play a classic ARPG, I could have chosen Grim Dawn, Wolcen, Last Epoch, Pagan, or one of the other indie options. I have been waiting for Torchlight Frontiers because the model had a certain longevity, but I guess I won’t be playing it now.”
?? johnny ?? says on Twitter: “This seems like a big step in the right direction, and I am looking forward to trying the ‘new’ game.”
Torchlight 3: Release Summer 2020 on Steam
When will the release occur? The release of Torchlight Frontiers was originally planned for 2019, which did not materialize.
Torchlight 3 is now supposed to be released on Steam this summer. There is no exact date yet.
However, you can participate in a closed alpha starting January 29.
What do you think of this quite significant change in Torchlight Frontiers, respectively Torchlight 3? Would you have preferred to play the MMO version or are you happy that we now get a more classic hack ‘n slash?
Has WoW trolled us all? At least there is a chance. Because perhaps the end of N’Zoth was not the right end…
No matter how you turn it, with the conclusion cinematic after defeating N’Zoth, Blizzard has not made any friends among the fans of World of Warcraft. But could it be that this is not the final end of the old god in patch 8.3? There is still a glimmer of hope. Whether it will prove true, the next days will show. Because in the mythic difficulty, N’Zoth could have a special feature.
What is it about? If you look at the “Dungeon Journal” of World of Warcraft, you can get a rough overview of the fights and find out which abilities bosses use. This way, players can already have a rough idea of what each boss can do before the fight.
These entries are organized by difficulty levels so you can see exactly what bosses can do at LFR difficulty and what they have in store at heroic or mythic difficulty. N’Zoth has a sentence in the mythic variant that gives hope. It says:
As the tentacles of N’Zoth wrap around the heart chamber, Magni and MOTHER unleash the power of the Forge of Origination to put an end to the plans of the Corruptor.
At least they hope so.
It is clear that this sentence points to an additional phase that only exists in mythic mode and about which nothing is known so far. Whether it has a deeper meaning that could even influence the story remains to be seen.
What could be possible? With a bit of imagination, it could be that the previous end cinematic is not the actual end at all. Some players suspect that this cinematic represents the “bad end”, thus another illusion from N’Zoth, making us believe that we have won.
It could be that the “good end”, where the heroes see through and destroy this illusion, is only visible in mythic mode and will then be made accessible to all players.
So it is conceivable that the fight lasts until the point where the hero of Azeroth channels the energy and fires it at N’Zoth. Instead of the previously known (and hated) cinematic, the fight could continue here and show something else.
In the end, this is, of course, just a small hope that requires a medium-sized tinfoil hat to believe in. What is true will likely be discovered as soon as the first professional guilds reach this fight.
Hope dies last – in this case, right after N’Zoth.
The well-known Twitch streamer and former Overwatch pro Daniel “Dafran” Francesco has commented on the Overwatch League’s switch from Twitch to YouTube. He is rather critical, fearing for the league’s “death,” but is open to being surprised.
This is what Dafran says: In his stream from January 26, 2020, the streamer Dafran discussed the future of the Overwatch League with his chat. When asked what he thinks about YouTube Gaming, he says: “Buddy, we might be surprised. There are a lot of normies on YouTube.”
He probably does not mean this negatively. It could well be that he implies: There is a much larger potential audience on YouTube than just gamers. That could be something.
However, Dafran is critical about whether the Overwatch League can maintain the viewership levels on Twitch:
The chance is also high that the Overwatch League simply dies completely. That is very likely, I think. And by dying, I mean: 50,000 viewers.
Who is Dafran? Dafran was previously also active as a player in the Overwatch League. He played for Atlanta Reign. However, he left the league in March 2019, to stream and chill instead, as he says.
So far, Dafran’s streaming career seems to be going well. Dafran had an average of 4,300 viewers in the past 365 days and currently has nearly 520,000 followers. And this, despite having previously drawn attention with questionable content.
Overwatch League and Blizzard on YouTube
This is what it is all about: The reason for the discussion about YouTube Gaming is the recent switch of the Overwatch League to YouTube. Activision Blizzard has now signed a contract with Google after the end of the two-year exclusive contract with Twitch.
The Overwatch League and some other e-sports events from Activision Blizzard are now being streamed on YouTube.
Synergy is one of the most important features in Temtem. We show you how it works and how it affects your battles.
What is synergy? This is an important feature for battles with your Temtems and one of the many differences from Pokémon games. Through synergy, attacks can enhance each other and deal more damage. The types of the attack and the Temtems are crucial.
Here we show you how synergy works and explain why you should definitely rely on this synergy.
What you need to know about synergies in Temtem
This is how synergies work: In Temtem, you always send two monsters into battle, and these two monsters must harmonize with each other for you to take advantage of the synergy.
Synergies occur through the use of both Temtems in battle
Some attacks become stronger in battle if the partner Temtem is of a specific type. That is the synergy. The attack Aqua Stone, a Water type move, becomes stronger when your second Temtem is of Earth type. So if you have a Temtem with Aqua Stone, you should let it fight alongside an Earth Temtem. The same principle works for numerous other Temtems and attacks.
This is how the attack is enhanced: This boost can look very different. In the end, however, it makes you stronger in battle. In the case of Aqua Stone, you can achieve a bonus of 24 damage points thanks to the synergy. However, there are also attacks that become much stronger just because you make use of the synergy.
Are these synergies worth it? Definitely. Depending on the attack and the respective synergy, the attack can be significantly enhanced. Especially at the beginning when you don’t yet have such strong monsters and also don’t have a wide team available, you should rely on synergies. Your starter Temtems can also benefit from the synergies.
Such an enhancement can make the difference in battle and is all the more important for you. So get informed about the attacks and their synergies and use them in the next battle.
Your starter Temtems can also benefit from the synergies
What you should consider: So build two-member teams from your Temtems that create a synergy together. Especially against strong opponents, like your rival Max, you should use the synergies. But also pay attention to the effectiveness of the respective attacks.
It doesn’t help if you have a strong synergy, but the attack itself is not effective against the other monster.
To achieve as many synergies as possible, you need a lot of Temtems. Here you can find all of them in the starting region Deniz:
With Legends of Runeterra, the makers of LoL, Riot, have now introduced their own card game to the market. The open beta has started and is accessible to all interested parties. But how does one actually get started properly? We explain it to you in our comprehensive beginner’s guide.
Legends of Runeterra is a comprehensive and complex game. Anyone looking to start with it can quickly become overwhelmed by the variety of cards, regions, and keywords. Especially those with no experience in card games may find it quite daunting.
However, with a little effort and assistance, you can easily get started and gradually get better over time. Our guide is designed to prepare you well for Legends of Runeterra so that you are not completely lost when you play your first rounds.

What is Legends of Runeterra?
This is the game: Legends of Runeterra is a collectible card game (or CCG) by “League of Legends” makers Riot Games. It is among the six games announced by the company in October 2019 and is currently in open beta.
Legends of Runeterra works roughly similarly to Hearthstone or Magic: The Gathering – Arena. You collect cards, build decks, and compete against other players. However, it comes with features and peculiarities that strongly differentiate it from the aforementioned games, which we will explain in more detail below.
Legends of Runeterra can currently only be played on PC and is free to play. A mobile version is already available for pre-registration in the Google Play Store. For Apple, there is already a reference on the official site, but no entry in the App Store yet. However, there is still no date for the official release of LoR and LoR Mobile.
How to Play Legends of Runeterra
To get started, we will explain how Runeterra is played. This should give you a brief insight into the game and show what you can expect in LoR.
Is There a Tutorial?
Here’s how to start: Legends of Runeterra offers a comprehensive tutorial with 13 different introductory scenarios. In these, you will learn the fundamentals of
how to play a round
what to pay attention to in the game
what keywords are and what they do
what to consider when attacking and defending
how to win a round
We strongly recommend playing all tutorials. You will gain a good overview of what you have to do in Legends of Runeterra, as well as some rewards.
The tutorials should provide you with enough experience points to complete the first tasks and thus establish a small collection of cards and items to get you started.
Attacking, Blocking, Winning
This is how a round goes: In Legends of Runeterra, you play in a continuous exchange with your opponent. Each round is divided into several turns, similar to Magic. Additionally, you gain mana each round, similar to Hearthstone.
In rounds, you can alternately play cards, cast spells, attack, and block. Only the player with the attacking token is allowed to attack. The defender usually chooses how to block.
A round is won when the opposing Nexus is brought down to 0 life points. You start with 20. Some cards have their own win conditions and ignore the life points of the Nexus.
What is Mana? With mana, you can play cards. Each card has mana costs displayed at the top left corner. You gain one more mana each round, and the mana is fully replenished each round.
Excess mana does not dissipate but flows into spell mana. You can store up to three mana and transfer it to subsequent rounds. These maximum three spell mana can only be spent on spells.
What is the attacking token? The attacking token indicates which player may attack. For the attack, they select allies and bring them onto the field. This initiates the attack and prevents the opponent from playing additional cards (except for fast and instant cards).
The Different Game Modes of LoR
These game modes exist: Currently, Legends of Runeterra offers four different game modes. These can fundamentally differ:
Playing against players: You play against real opponents with a self-built deck (“constructed”). Here, you can choose between “normal” (unranked) and “ranked” (ranked).
Against AI: You play unranked games against the computer. Here you can test decks or try out your first games.
Expedition: You build a deck from randomly selected cards and continuously expand it during the expedition. Comparable to “Draft” (Magic) or “Arena” (Hearthstone). More on this can be found in our guide soon.
Introduction: Play the individual tutorials.
If you have never played card games of this type before, we recommend avoiding the expedition for now, as it requires an entry fee. Save your entry tokens and prices for now until you have warmed up to the game.
Building Decks and Getting to Know Cards
The heart of Legends of Runeterra are the various cards. There are dozens of different creatures, spells, and champions that you can assemble into decks and compete against others with.
Champions, Allies, Spells, and More
What types of cards are there? In Legends of Runeterra, there are fundamentally two different types of cards: spells and units. However, these are further divided into various categories.
For units, there are
Champions
and companions
A champion: Fiora.
For spells, there are
slow
fast
and instant spells
More about spells can be found in the spell section. Champions and companions are summarized under the term “Allies” on cards.
Some allies also have groups. These include, for example, “Elite,” “Spider,” or “Poro.” Additionally, all cards fall under the rarities Common, Rare, Epic, and Champion.
Most cards in Legends of Runeterra also possess so-called “keywords.” You can find out more about this in the keywords section.
A special feature of champions: A champion is unique on your side of the field. Excess champions become their corresponding spell.
This means that, for example, if you play Garen and have another Garen card in hand, that Garen in hand becomes the spell “Garen’s Judgment,” his so-called champion spell. If Garen leaves the field, Garen’s Judgment becomes a champion again.
Spells
What are spells? Unlike allies, spells are cards whose effect takes effect immediately and are usually consumed. They can be played with regular mana or spell mana.
They often grant strengthening effects like barriers or status boosts or deal damage. They can also summon units, copy cards, and more.
How are spells played? You can essentially play spells like any other card. However, the order of play is very important for them. The rule of “the stack” or “last in, first out” applies here.
This means that the last spell played is the first to take effect. On the game board, you can roughly remember this by reading the spells from left to right. Once played, the spell on the far left always takes effect first.
These keywords are associated with spells: However, spells also have a special property. They have three special, unique keywords that indicate when and how they are played:
Slow: Can only be played outside of fighting and other spells. The opponent can react.
Fast: Can be played at any time. The opponent can react.
Instant: Can be played at any time. Opponents cannot react.
Buying and Crafting Cards
Your main source for new cards at the beginning will likely be the various journeys of the regions. Here you will receive card packs and more. You can also buy or craft cards directly.
Here’s how to craft new cards with shards: Similar to Hearthstone’s dust, you receive shards in Legends of Runeterra. You get shards when you draw a card from a pack and already own three copies of it. You can also earn them as rewards for the expedition or in chests. However, you cannot destroy cards for shards.
With shards, you can craft cards. The costs are as follows:
Common cards: 100 shards
Rare cards: 300 shards
Epic cards: 1200 shards
Champions: 3000 shards
Right-click on the card in the collection to craft it.
Here’s how to build new cards with wildcards: In addition to shards, there are also wildcards. You receive these, for example, from capsules as rewards for experience points on a journey. Wildcards come in four different rarities. A wildcard can be directly exchanged for a card.
Here’s how to buy new cards: You also have the option to buy a limited number of wildcards weekly in the shop. These cost coins, a real money currency at a rate of about €1.10 for 100 coins (+ bonuses for larger purchases).
The wildcards cost:
Champions: 300 coins
Epic: 120 coins
Rare: 30 coins
Common: 10 coins
The number of wildcards available for purchase resets weekly.
Decks and Regions
These are decks: A deck consists of 40 cards from up to two different regions. You may add a maximum of six champions and a maximum of three copies of the same card to a deck.
In general, decks pursue a specific agenda. This means they have a specific task or a specific way in which you play them and how they function. For example, there are decks that:
aim to eliminate the opponent particularly quickly
focus on powerful allies late in the game
or want to control the opponent’s allies
What are regions and what do they mean? Regions in Legends of Runeterra refer to what colors mean in Magic. You can combine them into decks, but (in “constructed”) never have more than two different regions in the deck.
The regions have different strengths and weaknesses as well as different champions. While they are generally equally strong, they have their specific characteristics that somewhat define them.
These regions exist:
Demacia: Primarily builds on protection, such as with barriers, and strong cards.
Freljord: For control decks (with “freeze”) or horde decks (with Poros).
Ionia: Primarily trick cards that continuously swap, strengthen, and re-play cards.
Noxus: Well-suited for aggressive decks, offering high damage, little defense, and strengthening at the cost of your own life points.
Piltover & Zhaun: Combo cards that primarily synergize with spells. Also builds on direct damage through spells.
Shadow Isles: Primarily “ephemeral” minions and tokens. Shadow Isles decks play with strong attacks without lasting companions. Comparable to graveyard decks from Magic.
Deck Building
What should I consider when building a deck? When building a deck, you should always keep in mind what this deck is supposed to achieve. Do you want to eliminate your opponent quickly? Then take many cheap, strong units and forgo protection. Do you want to play specific combos? Then make sure the opponent can’t overwhelm you first.
The core of a deck is usually the champions. The champions dictate how you should build your deck. If you have no idea where to start, simply choose a champion and try to build a deck that supports them.
However, it is important to maintain a balance of spells and allies as well as your “mana curve.” This means that you typically should not have too many cheap and not too many expensive cards in the deck, and you should not solely play with spells.
A relatively balanced mana curve with a slightly aggressive start.
What are keywords? Most cards in Runeterra have specific keywords. These trigger special effects. For starters, we will briefly show you all the keywords and what they do.
These keywords exist and this is what they do:
Invulnerable: Cannot block.
Barrier: Prevents all damage (once)
Challenger: Can only be blocked by opponents with 3 or more strength.
Stunned: Cannot attack or block this round.
Direct strike: Attacks first during the attack.
Double strike: Attacks twice, first with a direct strike, then normal.
Freeze: Sets an opponent’s strength to 0.
Regeneration: Restores lost health at the beginning of a round.
Ephemeral: Disappears after the round.
Challenger: Can choose a blocker.
Life steal: Heals the own Nexus for the damage dealt.
Last Breath: Triggers an effect upon death.
Robust: Takes 1 less damage from all sources.
Overwhelm: Deals damage exceeding the blocker’s health to the Nexus.
Untouchable: Can only be blocked by other untouchable units.
Supports: Applies the described effect to the attacker left of the card.
Ethereal: Dies after the round or after attacking.
Further keywords and triggers: There are also other important words on cards that describe something. These, however, are triggers. These are words that indicate when a described effect takes place:
Play: Effect takes effect upon playing.
Enlightened: Requires 10 maximum mana.
Loyalty: Triggers when the top card of the deck belongs to the same region.
Nexus Strike: Triggers after an attack against the Nexus.
Strike: Triggers after an attack.
Recall: Returns the card from the board back to the hand of the owner.
How do I progress in Legends of Runeterra? You earn experience points for most battles and activities in Legends of Runeterra. With these, you advance in the regions and unlock new chests, capsules, and cards.
In general, you earn experience with each game. However, there are limitations. For the first ten wins in PvP, you receive 200 experience points. After that, the number of granted XP gradually decreases until after 30 wins you no longer receive XP.
You also earn additional XP for PvP losses, AI wins, and AI losses. You also get XP for the expedition, depending on the number of victories, which you collect at the end of the expedition.
You also earn particularly high amounts of experience through daily missions. You can check these with the “Missions” button in the main menu. The more experience you accumulate per week, the better your weekly vault (on Tuesdays) will be.
In a post from Riot, it is stated that you will only receive significantly less XP if you play about seven to nine hours a day.
Tips for Hearthstone and Magic Players
What you should pay attention to: Anyone with experience in Hearthstone, Magic, or other card games of this type can derive many things for Legends of Runeterra. Especially deck building is almost identical, as many deck archetypes also exist in LoR:
“Rush” or “Aggro” decks (Noxus/Ionia)
Control and counter decks (Freljord/Demacia)
Token and graveyard decks (Shadow Isles/Piltover & Zhaun)
In general, Magic players can loosely orient themselves by the colors. These correspond in Legends of Runeterra loosely to the characteristics that colors also bring in Magic.
By the way, our editor Alex finds Legends of Runeterra to be better than both other competitors:
The League of Legends starts the new season in 2020. A LCS match between the actual star team from the USA, Team Solo Mid, and Immortals turned into a nightmare for both teams. Over more than an hour, shockingly little happened.
This is the situation: Team Solo Mid, TSM, is actually one of the largest and most professional eSports teams in the world. Between 2014 and 2017, they won 5 out of 8 possible championships of League of Legends in the USA.
the development of young German top laner Broken Blade
more power for star mid laner Bjergsen
should bring the turnaround.
Here’s how the game went: The match against “Immortals”, a mid-tier LCS team, lasted over 61 minutes. It was a match with few kills. In the end, it was only 9-9.
While jungler Dardoch died 5 times, TSM-ADC Kobbe managed to not die even once throughout the game.
This is Dardoch, who bore the hopes of TSM.
Both teams were relatively even in gold until minute 55, with slight advantages for TSM, but then Immortals prevailed.
The game was marked by fear on both sides to seek the decisive fight and make a decision. Thus, Immortals missed significant advantages through Baron Buff or Elder Dragons.
In the end, a strange scene decided the match. A teamfight in front of TSM’s base was about to unfold, but Dardoch and Bjergsen avoided the fight and apparently wanted to flank. Dardoch died in the process. The teamfight did not take place.
2 players from Immortals broke through to the Nexus and destroyed it in seconds, without any decisive teamfight occurring.
Teams miss chance after chance
This is the reaction: The match is harshly criticized on Twitter and reddit. A fan even coined a term:
Actually, the LCS is known for a “clown fiesta”, which refers to games where everyone just goes all out, ignoring any tactics
However, this was a “clown siesta”, as players seemed to have taken a nap

In general, it is criticized that both teams put too little pressure. TSM also drafted poorly and had no pressure in the game at all.
The winners Immortals even apologized for taking so long.
Immortals were also confronted with criticism over why they didn’t finish the match with the Elder Dragon buff. The buff is supposed to be precisely for that. However, they casually handled this criticism on Twitter. A second dragon is “insurance.”

In the end, fans said on reddit: No one won the game, not even the fans.
The bitter part: In power rankings before the season, TSM was actually seen in 2nd place, only behind Team Liquid. Immortals, on the other hand, was placed in 9th place.
The legendary cloak in WoW has a hidden effect that you absolutely need. Otherwise, you’ll look quite old in the new raid Ny’alotha…
In World of Warcraft, the Patch 8.3 Visions of N’zoth has been live for nearly 2 weeks, and most players have likely already fought through the quest lines. Those who haven’t done so should do it quickly – otherwise, raid leaders might leave you at home and not take you to the new raid Ny’alotha. Because without the legendary cloak, you’re just dead weight.
What is the legendary cloak? The legendary cloak Ashjra’kamas will be granted to you during the quite long introductory quest line from Furorion. It starts not only at a powerful item level of 470 but also brings some really cool bonuses. Because:
It reduces the corruption that your character suffers. You can wear more corrupted items simultaneously.
It reduces the loss of sanity in the visions of N’Zoth. This way, you can delve deeper into the visions and obtain more loot.
Furorion helps us level up the cloak.
You upgrade the cloak by visiting the visions, continuously enhancing it so that the passive bonuses become even stronger, and in the end, an active ability awaits you that temporarily makes you immune to N’zoth’s corruption. However, the cloak also has another effect that isn’t immediately obvious.
Cloak is needed in the fight against N’zoth: It is not immediately apparent that the cloak is a must in the two last boss fights of the new raid Ny’alotha.
In the battle against “The Corrupted Chassis of N’zoth” and “N’zoth the Corruptor,” the cloak is essential. Otherwise, you will succumb to N’zoth’s corruption.
What happens if you don’t wear a cloak? If you don’t wear your legendary cloak because you don’t have it or simply forgot it, you will be immediately controlled at the start of the two battles against N’zoth. The character will then count as an enemy for the rest of the raid. Your teammates will first have to kill the controlled characters and can then deal with the boss. This will be more difficult, as the fewer players that are alive, the harder it will be to manage the boss.
If you plan to raid in the next few days or at least want to check out the LFR of Ny’alotha, you should complete the quest and obtain the cloak. It is likely the best cloak you can get in this expansion.
Have you already obtained the cloak? Or were you without a cloak when facing N’zoth and experienced your blue wonder?
Are you unable to (re)download the SpecOps mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare? Then try this now. This should work for most users.
This is the problem:The SpecOps mode cannot currently be played by some players. This is frustrating, as it unlocks several blueprints and operators. The culprit is an annoying bug known in the community as the re-download bug.
What exactly does the bug do? Some users cannot currently download the corresponding package from their respective platform store. The download may queue up, but then nothing happens for some players. Or the download starts, but shows corrupted data after a while and cannot be completed.
For others, the package is simply not recognized, and they are redirected to the store, where they only find a placeholder. In short: SpecOps could not be downloaded or launched.
Finally, there is a solution: The solution came without much announcement in the form of a new SpecialOps pack download. This is nearly 16 GB in size and has been available on all platforms since January 26.
What you need to do: Anyone stuck with the old download and still unable to download SpecOps must cancel the old download and remove it from the queue or library if it is still queued there. You can recognize the old one by its requirement of nearly 12 GB of space.
Then go to the respective platform store, search for Modern Warfare, and navigate to the addons. There, you can select and download the new 16 GB SpecOps pack.
Here is an example from the PS Store (Source: Reddit user ageDriver2401)
The (repeated) download should now finally work again, and SpecOps can finally (once again) be played afterwards.
Please note: Even though this method has already helped many affected users, there are still some players for whom it unfortunately does not work. They still see a corrupted download or data.
According to some players, deleting the profile and save in Modern Warfare may help. While this would mean losing single-player progress, all multiplayer achievements and progress would remain intact. This has also helped some.
Here is what is new in Modern Warfare: Besides the repeated download for the operator pack, Modern Warfare recently received the new update 1.13. We have summarized all the important details here for you:
Are you also affected by this problem? Has the new operator pack been able to help you? By the way, with the new update, some mysterious appearances have occurred in the game:
The MMORPG Saga of Lucimia focuses heavily on group play. The start of the third testing phase and a release date have now been announced. A good reason to take a closer look at the sandbox game.
What is Saga of Lucimia?Saga of Lucimia aims to become a challenging MMORPG with pure PvE content. The game includes:
Quests that are meaningful and not merely busywork.
No predefined classes; the choice of skills is supposed to influence the playstyle.
A deep crafting system.
PvE challenges throughout the game world.
No PvP elements.
A subscription system designed to ensure regular income.
The MMORPG has been in development since 2014 by Stormhaven Studios, a small indie team that claimed to consist of 12 full-time employees in 2018 (Source: reddit). The game is currently in a closed beta, with testing taking place only on Wednesday evenings.
The MMORPG for Group Players
What is special about the MMORPG? The focus of Saga of Lucimia is on group play and collaboration with other players:
Tabletop games were taken as a general model for the MMORPG. They are fun because of shared experiences and because the story is not rigidly written in quest logs.
Instead, Saga of Lucimia wants you to write your own stories. And as is common with good stories, every hero needs companions.
It should be important to form a group with other players in the open world to tackle various challenges.
The developers have summarized the fundamental philosophy in a diary.
There is also an increasing desire to form more groups in MMORPGs – something that was once taken for granted. Our reader Nico writes under a survey on MMOs and group content:
I prefer to play in a group. I don’t know of any MMORPGs today that truly deserve the name.
Almost everything can be done solo nowadays, except for most dungeons, which are also becoming fewer. Dungeons are often seen negatively if they take too long.
Nonetheless, in this survey, almost 50% of participants said that they prefer to play MMOs alone.
First Insights into Saga of Lucimia 2020, Release 2021
What’s new in Saga of Lucimia? In a developer update, new information about the MMORPG was shared in January 2020. In April, the game is expected to transition to development phase 3. It will then offer the following features:
A functioning quest system.
A functioning combat system.
The mastery system is implemented.
A rudimentary collecting and crafting system will be introduced.
Much work will still be done on optimizing technical aspects and balancing the game after that.
When will more of the game be seen? With the entry into phase 3, the game is expected to be promoted more vigorously again. Currently, there is an NDA on the MMORPG, meaning there is hardly any content to be seen aside from the official YouTube channel. However, this could change in April:
The pre-sale in the shop will reopen on April 1.
Longer testing weekends will be held in April.
The streamer and partner program will be launched. Some selected partners will be allowed to introduce Saga of Lucimia to their fans.
Regular Q&A sessions with the developers are also planned.
When will Saga of Lucimia be released? With the achievement of stage 3, a release period has now also been named for the first time. The MMORPG is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2021.
The Twitch streamer Imane “Pokimane” Anys caused a stir last weekend after it became known that she rejected a $3 million advertising deal. She openly spoke about the reason for this.
She is the biggest streamer on Twitch and has nearly 4 million followers. This makes her almost as big as the streamer ruffian DrDisrespect.
Now she spoke with fellow streamer Byron “Reckful” Bernstein about a huge advertising deal that she surprisingly refused.
“I am doing well enough not to want to do things for money”
This is the deal in question: Her colleague Reckful mentioned a deal he offered Pokimane while apparently playing the intermediary. The two streamers did not name the provider of the deal but made it clear that Pokimane would have received $3 million in the end.
According to Reckful, Pokimane would have had to do “not even something particularly bad” for the money.
Reckful said he was very surprised by the refusal at first, as he himself had only $1,300 in his account at the age of 23. Pokimane is also now 23 and could have received a huge pile of money with just one deal.

This is how Pokimane justifies herself: The streamer said that she currently does not have $3 million in her account and that this was one of the reasons why she said no.
She also said: “I said no because I am doing well in life. I am doing well enough not to have to do things for money that I normally wouldn’t do, even if it is $3 million.”
The streamer is well aware of herself and does not want to sell out, even when it comes to such large sums.
Pokimane rejected the advertising deal – She prefers to do what she really wants
What is behind these advertising deals? Twitch is a huge platform where thousands of people hang out. Logically, companies look for partners there to advertise through them. Pokimane has over 3.8 million followers and thus many who could hear the companies’ advertisements.
Because Pokimane has a good connection to her fans, she is an attractive advertising spokesperson who can open doors for advertisers.
In Fortnite, a 2-week event has been announced. Hints suggest a crossover with the film Birds of Prey. Will there be a “Harley Quinn” skin in the game soon?
They only provided a hint to watch Fortnite’s social networks. Looking at the social media, there’s an exciting clue.
Update February 5, 2020: Leakers have now found a “Harley Quinn” bundle in Fortnite’s data. Here you can see what it looks like. There will also be challenges associated with it.
The next event is a crossover with Birds of Prey?
Why a crossover with the film Birds of Prey? Warner Bros. Pictures posted a video on Twitter featuring the cast of the film Birds of Prey. The film will be released on February 7, 2020.

Is the constant shooting in Destiny 2 boring for you? We show you how to turn your Titan into a grim Dark Souls sword wielder and become an unstoppable melee fighter.
This is the build: Swords are currently not in a great spot in Destiny 2. In the predecessor, the exotic versions were considered a strong choice for the power slot. Many wished for their return as a reward for the mega puzzle.
YouTuber ChrisPbacon808 proves with his well-thought-out sword build that swords can still make a good impression. He was inspired by the extremely difficult Dark Souls.
As in the popular Souls games, you need to block precisely, initiate devastating counterattacks, and elegantly slice through hordes of enemies. Conveniently, with his build, you become nearly immortal and always have heavy ammo for your sword at hand.
What you need for this sword build: Since you are fully committing to your melee blade, your other weapons essentially don’t matter – but using ranged weapons like a sniper keeps you safe. Choose the lower Sentinel tree “Code of the Aggressor” as your class.
You need these two exotics:
Black Talon (eng. Black Talon) – The sword not only looks stylish, it also offers you decisive advantages in battle. After every second sword kill, you regain ammo. With the special attack “Crow’s Wings”, you gain access to devastating ranged attacks.
The exotic catalyst for Black Talon – With the masterpiece, you create orbs of light on multi-kills, and shots right after blocking deal extra damage.
Stronghold (eng. Stronghold) – These exotic gloves improve your sword block. You do not consume ammo when defending and move faster. If you block exactly when you are hit (parry), your Guardian also heals.
With stylish ornaments, you modify the appearance of your sword
These mods give you the upper hand:
If you want to get the most out of your knight build, you need certain mods on your armor. The modifications make the build quite complex, but also very powerful.
Be careful, some armor pieces require a specific elemental affinity. We provide information on the energy costs of the mods in parentheses.
What to equip in your helmet: The helmet should have the Arc element. Use the following mods:
Sword Ammo Finder (2 energy)
Charge Up (3 energy) – This Obelisk mod charges you with stacks of light as soon as you pick up an orb of light.
What to equip in your gloves: In this slot, you wear your exotic. How you modify it doesn’t matter too much. A intellect mod is recommended, for faster super energy, which we need for finishers.
What to equip in your chest armor: Use a Void armor piece with these mods:
Protective Light (2 energy) – If you are charged with light and your shield breaks, you gain significant damage resistance.
Unstoppable Black Shield Capacitor (2 energy) – This allows you to stagger enemies with Void melee abilities and interrupt champions.
Delicate Touch (3 energy) – If you interrupt an unstoppable champion, you gain a damage buff. This mod, like the previous one, comes from your seasonal artifact.
What to equip in your boots: Choose boots with the Void element. These mods support your build:
Power Ammo Scavenger (5 energy)
Stagger (4 energy) – Whenever you charge with light, you get a second charge free of cost.
What to equip on your class item: You need a Titan mark with Arc affinity. The following mods are required:
Bloody Blade (2 energy)
Heavy Finisher (5 energy) – Whenever you finish an injured enemy, you receive valuable heavy ammo. However, this costs you half a super bar.
Now it gets serious – Fight like in Dark Souls
This is how to play the build: Against small and weaker enemies, use your light attack. If you encounter stronger foes, use an air combo. Jump in their direction and execute a light attack followed by a heavy hit – this triggers Crow’s Wings.
Against bosses, rely on your double projectile combo from a distance. You can also use this attack against many tightly grouped enemies, causing AoE damage .
With the numerous kills from your masterpiece blade, you will gain super energy very quickly. Additionally, double kills replenish power ammo for your sword.
Due to the mods, additional ammo should drop at regular intervals. If you find yourself in acute ammo shortage, commence a finisher. Afterwards, the wild slaughter can continue immediately.
If you ever get into trouble, you can rely on your resilience from the light charges. Those who truly master the build will block or parry at the right moment to deal extra damage and heal.

The developers of Fortnite, Epic Games, have announced that with update 11.50 they will be replacing the physics system of the Unreal Engine. This has generated a lot of excitement. The streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has high expectations for the new “Chaos” system of Unreal Engine 4. He believes it could even reset Fortnite.
This is the announcement: On January 24, Epic announced that at the beginning of February with update 11.50, they will switch Fortnite to the “Chaos” physics system of the Unreal Engine. The announcement coincided with another delay of Season 2.
It is said that the new technology has a lot of potential, but first they want to ensure that Fortnite continues to play like Fortnite.

What kind of technology is this? What the “Chaos” physics system can do was seen in a demo from the developer conference GDC in March 2019. The demo takes place in the world of Robo Recall and shows how Epic claims users can “create scenes at cinematic quality with destruction on a massive scale.” The system gives artists control like never before.
In the trailer, you can see buildings spectacularly breaking apart and the debris realistically breaking away.
Ninja has his own skin in Fortnite.
“Holy shit, this is going to be huge”
This is how Ninja reacts to the news: The Mixer streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, the man with his own skin in Fortnite, has huge hopes for this technology. He says this could change everything.
He speculates that Epic wants to “reset” Fortnite. Fortnite should feel like it used to, back when no one knew what was going on. In 2017, nobody knew what Fortnite was, how it would develop, and how much could be achieved with it.
Today, people would exploit the building system to create creative constructions.
Ninja says he has no insider information; he is just speculating.
Ninja seems to be excited about the announcement. After it has been significantly quieter around Fortnite in recent months, Ninja seems to expect a lot from the update. Especially since the new Fortnite Season 2 is supposed to start afterwards.
Players are asking: What about the performance?
What can we expect? Currently, the mood in the Fortnite community is split. It is assumed that the new “Chaos” physics system of the engine could do quite a bit during events or when building and destructing. However, there is speculation whether Epic actually wants to exploit this right now.
In any case, it is an interesting development; we will probably find out next week how exactly the new “Chaos” physics system will affect Fortnite.
Epic is planning gradual improvements
What’s behind it: Fortnite is not only an incredibly successful game for Epic, but also serves as a showcase and testing ground for the “Unreal Engine.” In the past, live events have been used to show developers what is possible with the engine in real-time.
Many players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare are waiting for new official information about a possible Battle Royale. Until then, the well-known MW leaker “TheGamingRevolution” is sharing some unofficial information and believes that the mode is the reason for the extension of Season 1 and will come with Season 2.
The big first-person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has been dealing with leaks since its release. There are constantly speculations from data miners that later turn out to be true.
Now, further new information has surfaced, spread by the well-known YouTuber and CoD leaker “TheGamingRevolution” with his current English video. He is anticipating the “Battle Royale” mode for Season 2 and provides additional information about the content that may come with the next season.
Battle Royale with Season 2 – Leak suggests this
What does the leak reveal about the Battle Royale? “TheGamingRevolution” received some images from an unnamed data miner. These may show loading screens of the new mode.
The update from January 22 was unusually large, leading the YouTuber to suspect that some content of the BR mode is already in the game. For a while now, you could check out the possible Battle Royale map with a little trick.
The leaker mentions a possible release date of February 12. That would be right after the end of the current Season 1.
A very similar image was found earlier, but this current variation could show another loading screen of the Battle Royale. Source: Video from TheGamingRevolution
What leads him to believe that the BR will come with Season 2? “TheGamingRevolution” supports his assumption with several hints:
The statements from the unknown insider are vague, but it seems certain that the developers are working on a BR mode. Source: Video from TheGamingRevolution
Just last week, the YouTuber published a statement from his unknown source stating that the BR will come either with Season 2 or Season 3. A third possibility, the absence of the mode, would negatively affect the sales of the next CoD and thus is probably not an option.
How reliable is the information? “TheGamingRevolution” has already released several leaks for Modern Warfare and has hit the mark several times. He leaked new maps and the newly released crossbow.
Therefore, the statements should be taken seriously, but they are not certain. Since his unknown source provides rather vague information regarding the release, the release remains uncertain until the official statements from the developers.
Maps, modes, weapons – Leak reveals more
What else does the leaker suspect? In addition to information about the Battle Royale, “TheGamingRevolution” spoke about new weapons, modes, maps, and a familiar operator.
According to “TheGamingRevolution”, these modes, maps, a weapon, and Ghost could come with Season 2.
New modes – The list of possible new game modes is long; for example, a mode could come where a player with a Juggernaut suit has to capture the enemy base.
Maps – Since only MW1 maps came with Season 1, “TheGamingRevolution” suspects MW2 maps for Season 2. Terminal, Scrapyard, and Rust are at the top of his list.
New weapon – Along with the crossbow came a leak for another weapon. The weapon looks like a “Vector” and could be a new SMG.
“Season 2” challenges – From his unknown data miner, he received data about concrete challenges that will be activated during Season 2.
The many leaks of recent months have already led to exaggerated expectations for an update and are very frustrating for the developers. However, what will actually make it into the game and when will have to be determined later.
Are you still excited about the Battle Royale of Modern Warfare, or do you think the developers have already missed the optimal time window for its release?
The Lunar New Year event is running in Pokémon GO and you can find special Pokémon in the 7 km Eggs. The Egg Pool has been thoroughly cleaned up for this. We will show you if the Eggs are worth it.
Here’s what’s new about the Eggs: In line with the Lunar New Year, there are many red Pokémon in the 7 km Eggs. However, almost all Pokémon that are not red had to disappear from the Egg Pool.
Now you will only find 8 different monsters in the Egg Pool. We will show you if the special Eggs are worth it.
The new 7 km Eggs are that good
These Pokémon are included: The 7 km Eggs are actually reserved for baby and Alola Pokémon, but that’s different in the current event. So there are:
Riolu
Vulpix
Flampion
Tarnpignon
Karpador
Pottrott
Magby
Waumpel
The 7 km Eggs have been thoroughly cleaned up
Except for Riolu, all these Pokémon are red and fit the event. Many of them can also be found in the wild.
Is this Egg Pool worth it? There are two major highlights with Riolu and Flampion. In return, the rest of the Egg Pool is quite weak and most of it often appears in the wild.
Flampion is definitely an incentive to hatch. This Pokémon is not available in the wild; it can only be obtained through the Eggs. Flampivian is currently the best Fire attacker in the game and a good Flampion is worth it.
So is hatching worth it? Anyone investing in the 7 km Eggs and even using purchased incubators should be prepared to be disappointed. Walking 7 kilometers to get a Karpador or Tarnpigon, which are currently found everywhere, can be frustrating.
However, there are also two important highlights that cannot be obtained in any other way. Whether the purchased incubators are worth it should be decided by each person themselves. But one should also consider that after the event, Flampion and Riolu will still be available in some ways. The incubators might be more worthwhile then.
How long will the Eggs stay like this? The Egg Pool will likely change with the end of the Lunar New Year. The event ends on February 3 at 10 PM. Until then, you will continue to find the red Pokémon in the 7 km Eggs.
If you want lucky Pokémon, you should take the chance now:
We present to you 6 MMORPGs that were supposed to be released in 2020, or that we had previously assumed would be released, but we, MeinMMO, have doubts about their release this year.
How did the list come about? This list is based on what happened in the games in 2019 and how often updates from the developers regarding the status were received, as well as on the plans that were already announced for 2020. Not all games were explicitly announced for 2020, but in some cases, it was just assumed from the development and statements from the team that they would be released this year.
Ashes of Creation
Genre: Sandbox-MMORPG | Developer: Intrepid Studios | Platform: PC | Release Date: Originally 2020 | Model: Buy2Play with Subscription
What is Ashes of Creation? The MMORPG from Intrepid Studios is essentially a sandbox where you can change the world through your actions. If, for example, you build a city by the sea together with other players and fish like crazy, it might awaken a sea monster that attacks your settlement.
In Ashes of Creation, you also improve your hero, explore dungeons, discover the world, and can establish a trading empire or become the ruler of your own kingdom.
What is the current status of the game?Ashes of Creation is making progress, but is moving forward a bit slower than fans would like. The alpha is supposed to start in 2020.

Why is a release in 2020 questionable? If the alpha starts in 2020, then we might at best only expect the beginning of the beta. The developers are taking their time with the release because they want to deliver a really good game. And such an extensive MMORPG like Ashes of Creation simply requires a lot of development time.
Genre: PvP-MMORPG | Developer: City State Entertainment | Platform: PC | Release Date: 2020 (State where it could be released) | Model: Buy2Play with Subscription
What is Camelot Unchained? The MMORPG is a successor to the classic Dark Age of Camelot and follows a similar gameplay principle. In Camelot Unchained, it’s mainly about PvP battles. Three factions are at war. You belong to one of them and participate in large battles.
In the sieges of castles, it is even possible to bring down walls and towers. However, PvE elements are also present. You fight creatures in the wilderness to improve your hero.
What is the current status of the game? There have been several beta events over the past year, and the team announced something big for January 2020. Perhaps the open beta for Camelot Unchained will start.

Why is a release in 2020 questionable? The developers are taking their time. They are not under time pressure, as they have secured funding for the MMORPG. If the open beta starts in the coming months, then a release in 2020 would still be possible, but the team likely wants to gather a lot of feedback.
Therefore, the start in 2021 appears more realistic. There is not a fixed release date for 2020 anymore, only a “soft” one.
Genre: Sandbox-MMORPG | Developer: Soulbound Studios | Platform: PC | Release Date: Originally 2019, now none | Model: Buy2Play with Subscription
What is Chronicles of Elyria? The sandbox MMORPG features a very special aspect: your guaranteed death. This means your hero ages and eventually dies. It is part of your task to ensure a successor to whom you will inherit your belongings and your trading empire, so you can continue playing.
In addition, Chronicles of Elyria aims to offer classic MMORPG elements such as exploring a large world, crafting, battles, dungeons, character development, and group play.
What is the current status of the game? The development is dragging on. Besides videos without final graphics, little has been seen of the MMORPG. However, there are always events taking place outside the game, in which lands are awarded to the players.

How has it gone so far? In a 2017 released roadmap, it was stated that Chronicles of Elyria would be released at the end of 2019. But nothing came of it. In 2019, the team asserted that the storm would break with the release of the pre-alpha in the same year. This indicated that development had made good progress. However, nothing happened in 2019. Since then, the developers have been holding back statements regarding the release.
Why is a release in 2020 questionable? The roadmap released in 2017 indicated the release of Chronicles of Elyria for 2019. But so far, there is nothing playable. The development continues to delay.
Therefore, it is to be assumed that there will be no release of the MMORPG in 2020. Perhaps we will see the alpha; that would probably be a success.
Genre: Sandbox-Themepark-MMORPG | Developer: Visionary Realms | Platform: PC | Release Date: None| Model: Buy2Play with Subscription
What is Pantheon? Pantheon is a classic MMORPG that orients itself towards the early days of the genre, particularly the first Everquest from 1999. Group play and PvE are at the forefront. You explore a vast fantasy world together with friends and experience numerous adventures there.
Fighting, quests, and the development of characters are important in the MMORPG. Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen aims to show how the genre could have developed if it had continued to follow Everquest 1.
What is the current status of the game? The alpha for Project Faerthale is supposed to begin still in 2020, showing how Pantheon looks as a whole. Recently, the team suffered a major setback when studio founder Brad McQuaid unexpectedly passed away.

How has it gone so far? The developers have not announced a specific release date yet, as they want to take the necessary time for development, but we had been assumed that a release in 2020 was expected. After all, the game has been in development since 2014 and has made good progress. For 2020, the release of the alpha was recently announced.
Why is a release in 2020 questionable? The team behind Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is relatively small. However, they have set themselves very high goals. This year, the alpha is supposed to start, which will certainly run for a while. With some luck, we might see the start of the closed beta towards the end of the year. A release in 2020 seems very unlikely.
What is Project TL? The MMORPG evolved from Lineage Eternal and aims to combine hack ‘n slash with MMORPG. You experience the action from an isometric perspective similar to Diablo and also fight a lot of enemies in action-packed battles, but you also explore a large world together with many players where numerous quests await you.
Project TL looks stunning based on the first trailer. It could be exactly what fans of Diablo are waiting for, who want a bit more than just hack ‘n slash action.
Why is a release in 2020 questionable? Since the 2019 release was delayed with no explanation of what happened, a launch in 2020 also seems doubtful. It is now said that a beta will begin in the first half of 2020 for Korea.
Given how slowly development is progressing, one might reasonably doubt that Project TL will be released this year.
Genre: Action-MMORPG | Developer: Smilegate | Platform: PC | Release Date: In the West: Still open| Model: Free2Play with Item Shop
What is Lost Ark:Lost Ark places you in a fantasy world that you explore similarly to a hack ‘n slash from an isometric perspective. Together with friends, you experience quests, explore dungeons, and fight against many enemies, including gigantic boss monsters.
Lost Ark skillfully mixes action RPG and MMORPG elements, making the online game a very interesting gaming experience.
What is the current status of the game? The developer studio Smilegate has started a beta in Russia. The next step is the release in Japan. Meanwhile, the MMORPG continues to receive more updates and expansions in Korea.

How has it gone so far?The developers of Lost Ark stated in 2019 that they would continue their offensive abroad, i.e., the release of the game in more countries, as soon as the MMORPG is released in Japan. This is expected to happen in early 2020. Although no official announcement was made regarding a release of the game here at home for 2020, job postings suggested that it could happen.
Why is a release in 2020 questionable? There has been no word from the developers regarding a release in Europe and the USA. Although it was long said that a “global” release was planned, it then went quiet.
This raises doubts about whether Lost Ark will really be released in Europe and the USA in 2020. If a release occurs in the West in 2020, it will likely only be for one of the areas, USA or Europe.
Why is Lost Ark a special case? Lost Ark is the only MMORPG on the list that has already been released, just not in the West.
Mein-MMO author Alexander Leitsch predicted that in his opinion Lost Ark would make an impact in 2020. And if only in an open beta. This might very well be true, but at the moment a release seems rather questionable. Opinions on Lost Ark’s west release in 2020, therefore, differ.
Our reader heathcliff63 has given a lot of thought to the current status of Destiny 2 and compiled a list of suggestions for improvement, which we present to you in this guest contribution.
After I already shared my thoughts about the ominous Destiny “community” in a review some time ago and concluded that it is nearly impossible to satisfy all the different player types, I would now like to touch on a few topics that I believe could contribute significantly to improving the game.
I believe that the game has enormous potential and is still a lot of fun for me. Therefore, here are a few suggestions for improvement in no particular order.
I assume that every player who has ever participated in a PvP match has a K/D. This is clearly unique per account and is stored in the game as well.
I would propose three groups for matchmaking that cover a specific range. Since I do not have access to statistical data from Bungie, the classification has been done arbitrarily and is only meant to serve as an example:
Group 1 (Beginners/Casual Players): for players with a K/D of 0.0 to 1.0. All modes are active and rotate randomly. Fireteams are not allowed, level advantages disabled.
Group 2 (Advanced): for players with a K/D between 1.0 and 2.0. All modes are active and can be selected individually. Fireteams are allowed, level advantages disabled.
Group 3 (Pros): for players with a K/D >2.0. Restriction to one or two modes only, fireteams are allowed, level advantages activated. Possibly further tightening of conditions by banning exotics, restrictions on certain weapon classes, or disabling supers (which could be activated alternately every week). This would be seen as a replacement for the Trials and Comp, with its own loot pool.
Basically, players with a higher K/D should not be allowed to play in a lower group, which would make matchmaking easier and allow a focus solely on connection quality.
Players with a lower K/D can indeed participate in the “stronger” groups to improve their K/D. The K/D is calculated depending on the opponent’s K/D.
If I eliminate a Guardian who has a significantly better K/D than I do, it gives me more points than if I eliminate a weaker player.
The Iron Banner would only be held once per season, but over two weeks instead. Level advantages would be enabled and all players can participate, much like a Grand Slam tournament. If it were up to me, the weapons and gear from D1 could also make a return here.
This should not be a new insight, thus the game needs new loot at regular intervals. I would at least overhaul the entire loot pool (including NPCs) twice a year, with alternating seasonal availability. Loot pool 1 would be active in Season 1 and 3, and loot pool 2 in Season 2 and 4.
This way, every player would have the opportunity to earn everything, there would be variety, and it would provide an additional motivation to play all seasons. Destiny 2 already offers significantly more activities than its predecessor. The problem is, however, that these activities will eventually become boring for even the biggest fans without an updated loot pool.
The “mini-raid” for everyone
The raids in Destiny are clearly the pinnacle of the game, but are only entered and completed by a small fraction of all players. On the other hand, the game now features some very interesting multiplayer activities that – see loot pool – are languishing.
Therefore, I would suggest a “new” activity composed of three or four randomly generated boss phases from the activities Escalation Protocol, Reckoning, Blind Well, Vex Offensive, possibly a Forge, Menagerie, and Sundial (I hope I haven’t forgotten any). Of course, with matchmaking and its own loot pool (but loot only at the end, so that players don’t drop out too early).
If we’re recycling, then let’s do it right
Since Bungie is bringing back weapons and armor from Destiny 1 anyway, why not gradually bring everything back? This could be story-wise justified by saying that all of our gear was stolen by a rogue Cabal gang during the destruction of the Tower (and our vault) and sold throughout the universe.
Thus, in each season, one or two items could be reactivated, ideally tied to a small story mission or, for all I care, in one of the lost sectors or a strike at a higher level, where you can earn the gear piece from the end boss. Of course, this shouldn’t be widely announced as new content; otherwise, a shitstorm would be pre-programmed.
Bungie has designed 4 great and challenging dungeons, in my opinion. It’s a shame that these largely become useless after completing the quest.
It would be great if suddenly (without major announcement) an exotic scout rifle designed like the Whisper would appear or an auto rifle in the Siva design in the Zero Hour mission.
But please without time limitations, because I find that just creates unnecessary stress that dampens my enjoyment. The difficulty alone and the fact that you usually need a fireteam should already provide enough challenge.
Perhaps if the mission is completed within a certain time, it could be tied as a triumph with a unique emblem for hardcore players.
There it is!
The “SRL World Championship”
I was a big fan of the SRL in Destiny 1. On the one hand, it allowed for high-level gear, and on the other, it was a varied and fun event. Especially now, with so many sparrows featuring cool designs, this would be a great opportunity.
The tracks from D1, plus two new courses, would already set the stage for a new engagement.
You could hold your own championship, with in-game visible leaderboards or even a world championship of its own. Qualification would depend on the best times you achieved on each track, which could be broadcast live on Twitch or elsewhere.
Add in shaders that are color-themed after famous Formula 1 race cars, and armor ornaments inspired by racing suits. If it were up to me, I’d be happy to buy these with Glimmer to ensure that the Eververse benefits from it too.
We don’t want anything for free, but give us achievable goals
Bungie has always had a problem with the drop rate of exotics. It’s an ongoing pendulum between the extremes. Sometimes, exotics are thrown at you, and sometimes they seem to barely exist.
When I read that some players have 50 or more raid completions and still don’t have a raid exotic, while others get one on their first or second try, it only leads to frustration and envy.
Especially with the raids, which are very time-consuming, the drop rate must noticeably increase with the growing number of completions, so that a drop must be guaranteed after, for example, the tenth completion.
On the other hand, exotics are devalued when they can be obtained with such little effort, like Eriana, Symmetry, Devil’s Ruin, and others. You don’t have to be a psychologist to know that a fair reward system and clearly recognizable goals are crucial for motivation.
Of course, random drops belong in a game like Destiny; they add spice and suspense, but I want to know that, for example, after 100 strikes, the chance of a particular exotic increases. This way, I can work towards a goal, and the reward feels satisfying.
Eververse yes, but lower the costs
I have absolutely no problem with Bungie wanting to generate additional revenue through the Eververse. I would be willing to spend real money on cool ornaments, ships, and sparrows, but the prices are sometimes outrageous and are not proportional to the rest of the game.
I am also convinced that revenue would be significantly higher if the prices were at a reasonable level, appropriate to what is being offered.
Further systems of Destiny 2
What I think about strikes: I do not understand why Bungie so persistently ignores the demand for strike-exclusive loot. Strikes are an immensely important part of the game, but even I am slowly finding it boring because it simply does not feel rewarding anymore.
As far as I remember, the situation was similar after some time in Destiny 1, and when strike-exclusive loot was introduced, it boosted that activity immensely.
What I think about the factions: The factions, which had a greater significance in D1, have now totally disappeared and will probably be completely unknown to newcomers.
Even though I preferred the leveling system from D1 with an exotic at level 25 and its own loot pool, I believe that the faction rallies, at least as they were at the beginning of D2, could easily be revived. Anything would be better than the current status of nearly non-existence.
What I think about the level system: I would also urgently suggest reworking the current level system. Why should I earn top loot with great difficulty in one season if every blue drop is higher at the beginning of the next season?
Just to feel “more powerful” for 1 to 2 months, because game-wise the power level is rarely truly relevant. To be honest, I lack the motivation when everything then seems wasted.
Conclusion
I am convinced that there are still many possibilities for us to improve the gaming experience. However, I would be satisfied with the aforementioned expansions, which, in my opinion, would not require a huge programming effort.
I personally do not need a new raid or multiplayer activity every season. Of course, raids are the prestige object and the crowning achievement in Destiny 2, and it is great that they exist.
But the cost-benefit ratio is likely quite low. Almost every car manufacturer has its “showcase model,” but most profit comes from the mass market of “bread-and-butter” cars.
Now and then new strikes or PvP and Gambit maps, and above all new loot, new loot, and yet more new loot. Then player numbers in D2 could approach the glorious past again.
Additionally, more open communication, faster bug fixes, and a little less “awesomeness,” meaning marketing speech. We all love Destiny, invest a lot of money and time, so we deserve an open and honest approach.
Making mistakes is human, and admitting them is not a weakness. However, covering up, concealing, or lying is reprehensible in every respect and inevitably leads to negative sentiment and distrust.
I would be glad if you could share your thoughts on the above suggestions or suggest new ways to enhance the gaming experience.
Recently, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare received a massive update that fixed numerous issues in the game. However, not everyone was pleased. A professional player heavily criticized the patch because it apparently ruined an important league match for his team.
This update is about: A few days ago, Modern Warfare received the major Update 1.13. Among other things, it included the new weapon crossbow as well as numerous bug fixes for various issues.
Who is criticizing the patch? The criticism now comes from the well-known CoD professional player and two-time world champion Ian “Crimsix” Porter. He is a member of the professional team Dallas Empire, which competes in the CDL (Call of Duty League), the professional league of Call of Duty.

Last weekend, Dallas Empire started the CDL season 2020 with two losses and Crimsix used the official post-match press conference to express his displeasure with the latest Modern Warfare patch.
This is why the patch is causing discontent among the professional team: In short, Crimsix believes the update was probably beneficial for the game itself, but brought significant disadvantages for his team.
As background: The update came just 2 days after the start of the CDL 2020 (on January 24) and brought a lot of adjustments that also impacted the competitive ruleset.
For example, the “Slide Cancel” exploit was fixed, which many professionals used to prepare their weapon faster after a sprint. Furthermore, adjustments were made to the Trophy system and certain weapons, and the field upgrade Dead Silence was nerfed. The headshot multiplier was also reduced.
In general, these changes were also welcomed by the pros, but the timing of the adjustments was heavily criticized. Basically, there was no time to train with the new features before the league’s start event kicked off. This was supposed to be a factor for Dallas Empire as well. Although they had trained very well before, the league start failed with 0-2.
This is what Crimsix said in detail: In the press conference, Crimsix elaborated: “Infinity Ward, you guys release a patch two weeks before an event. I strongly urge you not to play this patch then.”
He then further criticized the patch policy: “This patch fixed everything, but in other e-sports, it’s considered a joke to do what we did. So, Infinity Ward, get your shit together because it’s just annoying.”

However, he then collected himself a bit and explained that not only Infinity Ward is responsible: “I mean, it’s not just Infinity Ward. Every single year, we have a patch before a major event. Three or four times, every single year. That shouldn’t happen.”
Crimsix went on to explain that while he does not solely blame the patch for his team’s performance, it definitely was a factor and hit the team hard. The changes to slide canceling, the trophy system, and the adjustment of the headshot multipliers completely changed the meta and created hundreds of new, strong positions.
For example, before the patch, fast SMG players were encouraged to challenge slower players through head glitches. However, after the patch, that was no longer possible, and the way teams played changed completely.
In conclusion, he criticized that the preparation and work in the pre-season were completely in vain: “It’s just annoying because we probably played the most of all teams here, and that was not even relevant. Thanks again, Infinity Ward.”
The interesting part is: Dallas Empire was allegedly the first team to know about the slide canceling bug and actively integrated this into their strategy. It strongly appears that they had prepared to utilize slide canceling, head glitches with SMGs, or other exploits, and are now angry that it ultimately did not work out.
What do you think about this topic? Does Crimsix have a point, and should the developers give the pros more lead time with new patches, or better align patch times with major events? Or is this just a sore loser whining because he could no longer exploit some mechanics?
A new leak hinted at a changed map for Season 2 in Fortnite. The leak quickly spread across the internet. While this change would be cool, it is a fake. A video now shows how the images were created.
What kind of leak is this? Images surfaced on the 4chan message board, showing what we might expect before the end/start of the next season. The images showed a changed map and 2 scenes from the trailer.
The images from the alleged trailer showed a few Battle Pass skins that looked quite shocked. The images looked surprisingly poor and grainy, to enhance the “leaks must look bad” effect.
The leaked map mainly shows changes to the location Steamy Stacks in the northeastern part of the map.
It seems that the reactors exploded and the purple liquid spilled into the sea:
The leak would be cool, but unfortunately, it is fake
Although the images show a cool story for a live event at the end of Season 1 Chapter 2 when the reactor explodes, it has now been revealed that the images were faked.
YouTuber shows how he faked the images
How were the images created? The YouTuber KinaKingy admitted that he faked the images. In his YouTube video, he shows how he created the images.
For explanation, he uses a speech generator since he does not speak fluent English.
In this video by KinaKingy, you can see how he edited and faked the images:

The majority of people agreed that the images were a fake. However, there were also some who believed the images were real.
A cool live event would surely have been created, but now we have to wait and see what awaits us at the end of the Season 1, which ends on 20.02.2020.
What is it with leaks and Fortnite? In the past, leaks about Fortnite have repeatedly appeared that no one believed at the time, but later turned out to be true.
