These are the sources for Powerful Loot in Season 11 of Destiny 2
This is how Powerful Loot is structured in Destiny 2: Powerful Loot comes in several tiers that grant you various power boosts. Accordingly, higher tiers also provide higher power boosts.
Tier 1 (up to +3 above the current power level)
Tier 2 (up to +4 above the current power level)
Tier 3 (up to +5 above the current power level)
Top gear (+5 or more above the power level. The only gear that goes above 1050 and up to a maximum of 1060)
For your information: Power levels gained from the new artifact “Seed of the Silver Wings” are not considered in the calculation of your drops’ power levels. Here, the average of the gear and weapons is decisive.

The party game Fall Guys currently entertains thousands of players and viewers. However, Twitch star shroud believes that this won’t last long. At least not if the developers don’t quickly change two things: more maps and more party.
This is what shroud says: In one of his recent streams – shroud is now back on Twitch – the top streamer talked about the new hit Fall Guys. However, he sees quite a bleak future for it.
In a conversation with his teammates, he says: “Fall Guys will surely die quickly. After playing, it is impossible for it to remain interesting for long. Unless the developers bring new maps.” After a short pause, he adds quite insistently: “Quickly!”

The second important thing he mentions a little later is that Fall Guys needs to become “more of a party game” than it currently is. It would help if private lobbies could be created without random players. “I don’t want to play with damn strangers, man.”
What bothers him about it? Fall Guys is fun, but also his teammates say that they couldn’t play it for hours. Since it’s still all about winning, even resorting to nasty tricks for the players, it quickly becomes competitive. This somehow stands in the way of the party aspect.
At least for the new maps, there are already hints that something will indeed come soon. Twitter user Shiina shares images of several new game modes that data miners have already found:

Recently, Fall Guys with the update “Spicy” has already received some improvements. New modes, if they indeed come, would at least be what the game needs according to shroud.
Success and Problems of Fall Guys
The party game has proven to be a huge hit, both with players and viewers. A streamer winning in Fall Guys even set a new record on Twitch. MeinMMO author Jürgen Horn is also thrilled about the title:
However, the popularity and the desire to win also brings cheaters with it. For some time now, cheaters have been making the game unsafe and ensuring that other players no longer have fun. It seems that there are even more of them.
Fortunately, there are still plenty of fair players who simply block these cheaters. They even forgo victory to troll the cheaters and prevent them from winning. Instead of fighting for the win, they block and tug at the cheaters. While these are cool actions, it seems that there is still room for improvement from the developers.

So far, the upcoming loot shooter Outriders has kept quite a secret about its fourth and final playable class. Now it has been revealed – and tested in new cooperative scenes.
This is the last class: Outriders – the game that looks like a mix of Diablo and Anthem – is getting closer. During the recent Outriders broadcast, the developers unveiled the secret of the fourth missing class. The “Technomancer” rounds out the quartet that you can play in Outriders. Previously known were:
The Pyromancer
The Devastator
And the Trickster
This is what the Technomancer can do: The Technomancer relies heavily on technological tools. He has a whole arsenal of gadgets at his disposal that he can unleash on his enemies. These include among others:
Turrets
Mines
Rocket Launchers
Miniguns
He is the tactical specialist among the Outriders and also has the ability to heal his teammates. He is extremely valuable in co-op – which is why he was also introduced with new co-op gameplay. You can watch the trailer for the Technomancer (from minute 2:40) and the new gameplay (from minute 6:55) here:

This is what you can see: In the video, the explosive gameplay can be seen that was expected during the presentation of Outriders. In the co-op video, you can see, among other things, the Technomancer working together with the Devastator class.
There is a shift between battles in open terrain and close duels in the trenches – all quite explosive and loud.
It quickly becomes clear that in Outriders there are several paths to victory. A wild mix of skills comes into play – just a moment ago a magical firestorm was unleashed, shortly after that an automatic turret mows down the enemies. Meanwhile, there is plenty of shooting going on.
Can everything be played in co-op? During the broadcast, it was explained in a Q&A that Outriders has a drop-in/drop-out multiplayer system. As soon as the prologue is finished, you can play everything with friends – optionally with strangers or alone.
In Outriders, you can cause chaos together
If you end up in a lobby where players have progressed further in the story, the game will warn you in advance.
What else was shown? The broadcast also provided a closer look at the Devastator class. Here, you could admire the abilities of the Devastator, who resembles a mix of Hulk and Earthbender.
In the trailer, the Devastator stopped bullets in the air, Neo-style
The Devastator can throw boulders and gains health when he mows down nearby enemies. He can create a rock that pulls enemies like a black hole, and he can shoot dangerous spikes out of the ground.
Last but not least, he can also stop bullets in the air like Neo from the Matrix and throw them back at his enemies – quite versatile.
Those who have already surpassed level 30 in Pokémon GO and think they will be at the top soon are mistaken: the road to maximum level 40 is still quite long.
This is the maximum level: “Gotta catch ’em all” is the motto of Pokémon. In Pokémon GO, however, you can not only pursue the completion of the Pokédex as your highest goal, but also the maximum level 40. At least until an increase in the level cap comes.
If you have reached the highest level, you have probably seen pretty much everything in Pokémon GO. Because reaching level 40 takes a hell of a long time.
Reaching level 40 takes a long time
How much XP do you need for level 40?
How long does it take to reach level 40? How long it ultimately takes depends entirely on how intensely you play. One thing is certain: it takes a long while. To find out how long it approximately takes for you, there is even a level calculator.
A calculation from the site “Dexerto” results in 460 weeks to reach level 40. This assumes an average day that proceeds as follows:
10 spun PokéStops
10 caught Pokémon
Completed a tier 3 raid
Hatched a 2km egg
Defeated a gym with 4 Pokémon
This is a quite simple mix of activities that brings in 5,500 XP per day. Due to bonuses, an additional 500 is added over the week. This would mean 43,500 XP per week. It actually sounds like quite a lot. Why would it still take so long to reach the top level with this output?
This is how to achieve level-ups: To increase the level in Pokémon GO, trainers must collect XP. At first, this goes relatively quickly and you will see the “Level Up” screen repeatedly. But over time, it takes longer and longer to reach the next level – the gaps grow with the levels. You can see exactly what this looks like here in the table:

A long way to level 40: As seen in the table, the gaps keep getting larger. While you need to collect only 10,000 XP to jump from level 10 to level 11, from level 20 to 21, it’s already a full 50,000 XP.
From level 30 to 31 it is then a whole 500,000 – and at level 34, the required XP breaks the million mark. At the latest, it gets really tough. If you have made it to level 35, you have only just accumulated a little over a quarter of the required XP for level 40.
How do I get the XP? Almost every action in the game earns you XP – just not necessarily much. For example, you earn XP for:
Spinning PokéStops (50 XP)
Catching new Pokémon (500) and already known monsters (100)
Throw bonuses like Curveball (10 extra XP) or great throw (100)
Hatching eggs (10km eggs give 1000 XP)
Daily bonuses like the first PokéStop of the day (500 XP)
Many points are also awarded for completing raids – 3000 for a tier 1, and 10,000 for tier 5. Additionally, there are XP bonuses for forming friendships with trainers. It is worthwhile to find new Pokémon friends: the highest level “best friend” brings a whopping 100,000 XP. One trainer used exactly this method, to collect 19.3 million XP in an incredibly short time.
Where can I get more XP? The item “Lucky Egg” doubles the XP gained per action, but is time-limited. There are also events like the Spotlight Hour, where you can earn bonus XP. You should definitely take advantage of these.
Today, on August 25th, the preview event for New World started at 6:00 PM. However, many players are still reporting issues and cannot access the game.
Update August 26th: Although there are still complaints about individual bugs and crashes, the release of the preview was generally quiet. Many were able to play completely without hindrance according to their reports.
What bugs are there so far? As originally announced, many players were able to start the New World client on Steam at 6:00 PM our time, but from that point on, various problems occurred. So far, players mainly report three issues:
A bug with the authentication of the person.
No active servers are available for selection.
Login queues.
However, there are also many players who were already able to start New World. They can explore the world of Aeternum and get to know the game. However, please note that not all cutscenes and content are yet provided with a German voice or text output.
Below, we explain what you can do about the problems.
This bug seems to occur most frequently and gives you the option to try again by clicking “YES”. This has already resolved the problem for some.
As MeinMMO reader “Dr. h. c. Iggy Bear the Eleventh” reported on Discord, the bug also appeared in the Alpha. There, developers recommended restarting the PC completely.
2. No Active Worlds
Another bug is that no active worlds are displayed. Here, a restart of the game is the only immediate help.
However, if you participated in the preview event for the war beforehand, you should disable the Alpha settings that you had made specifically. The special test servers for the event have been taken offline.
This is what the server selection should look like when everything is running correctly.
3. Queues
Some players report queues when joining European servers. Here, you can only line up. However, you can bypass the problem by playing on an American server. The ping to US-East is at least acceptable.
At the end of the month, the new freebies for PlayStation Plus are always presented. Players are currently discussing which games it could be in September.
PS Plus had in August 2020 offered two strong games with Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered.
PS Plus Games September: These 6 games are being discussed
Currently, there are discussions about the following six games that could possibly be part of PS Plus. We present to you the 6 games here that are being most discussed.

Reasons for this: Days Gone is a PS4 exclusive title, which has faced criticism. Our colleagues at GamePro in their review of Days Gone write that the game is “far from the usual quality of a PS4 exclusive.” The game is also heavily debated among fans and critics (via GamePro.de).
Reasons for this: There have been rumors before about Dark Souls Remastered coming to PlayStation Plus. However, in July this did not happen.
Furthermore, the game has been around for about 2 years, as it was released on May 24, 2018. Many players have already played it in its original version. So it could very well be that Dark Souls Remastered gets a chance this time.
Reasons for this: Sony regularly distributes various Call of Duty games with PlayStation Plus. Just in August, there was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered.
However, there are also users on reddit who are not too keen on another Call of Duty. For instance, Elvis503 wrote on reddit: “Please no another CoD.”
Call of Duty Black Ops 4 focuses on a pure multiplayer experience and also offers a nice battle royale mode with Blackout if you have played enough CoD Warzone.
Uncharted: Lost Legacy

Reasons for this: Uncharted: Lost Legacy is the only Uncharted game that has not yet been included in PlayStation Plus. A possible reason why the game might come in September. Uncharted: Lost Legacy is also one of the often mentioned titles on reddit.
Additionally, Lost Legacy is not as extensive as the other titles, and Nathan Drake is not part of it this time.
Watch Dogs 2
Genre: Action-Adventure | Developer: Ubisoft Montreal | Release Date: November 15, 2016 | Model: Buy-to-play

Reasons for this: With Watch Dogs: Legion, the sequel to Watch Dogs 2, is coming on October 29, 2020. A good opportunity for Sony and Ubisoft to let players play the predecessor extensively. Forbes.com considers Watch Dogs 2 to be quite likely.
Ubisoft had given away Watch Dogs 2 this year for free on PC and the action game is also regularly offered for around 15 euros. Players could definitely consider it, especially thanks to its exciting multiplayer mode.
Remnant: From the Ashes was the surprising co-op hit of 2019 and is experiencing a second spring. MeinMMO author Benedict Grothaus spoke with Senior Combat Designer Taylor Denison and received some useful tips for fighting bosses and playing in multiplayer.
Where do the tips come from? Taylor Denison is primarily responsible for the design of the bosses in Remnant: From the Ashes as well as the fights you will have to face. Some of the bosses he has designed include:
Ixillis
the Iskal Queen
Riphide
The Unclean One
Ikro, The Ice Conjurer
the final boss Harsgaard from the new and final DLC Subject 2923
With The Unclean One, he is responsible for the ability to be killed even through walls. This is probably one of those moments when you bite into your controller or keyboard. To make this happen less often, I asked him for some tips and how he actually works on his bosses.
The Unclean One is one of Taylor’s bosses and can be quite unfair.
Tips for Playing Together with Friends
From our conversation, I learned three important lessons that I will definitely keep in mind for the next co-op session:
the composition of the group
coordination
and learning from mistakes.
For each of these points, Taylor has some interesting tips.
Play Remnant Like an MMORPG
The co-op shooter offers many ways to build your character, whether it’s an immortal build or a healing supporter. This makes it suitable to take on classic roles like tank, DPS, and healer in a group.
That is probably the smartest way to play Remnant. Taylor explains to me:
Ideally, it should be a mixed group. It’s cool to have those supportive characters, and the items really allow that. One player can buff the group, control mechanics, bind enemies to one place, block projectiles… That is probably the smart way to play: One takes care of the boss mechanics and supports, while the others deal damage.
At the same time, I like to play aggressive and risky styles where we all go full damage and have to avoid any damage in some way. [The group play] is therefore versatile, in many ways as you like. But I think it’s smarter to have some people as supporters and others as damage dealers.
Since you can play Remnant in co-op with up to three players, it makes sense to coordinate. At least if you are playing it safe. Those who want to deal full damage can also do that – but it will be trickier.
Not Every Boss is Easier Together – But More Exciting
However, Taylor also emphasized that it is not necessarily easier to defeat every boss in a group. Even bosses that seem like they have to be fought in co-op can prove to be more difficult in a group.
One of these bosses is designed by him: Ixillis, who is regarded as one of the hardest bosses in the game. You will have to fight multiple enemies at once. This sounds easier in multiplayer, but actually requires much more communication.
Ixillis is considered one of the toughest bosses in the game. Image source: YouTube.
Taylor says: “In reality, it becomes much harder in co-op because I designed it to be a coordination challenge in multiplayer where each player has to manage their own mechanics.”
If you know you can coordinate well with your friends and everyone knows what to do, it can definitely be more exciting, maybe even easier. However, defeating a boss with mass instead of class does not work.
Learn from Your Mistakes – That’s What Your Deaths Are For
If a boss doesn’t work on the first attempt, that’s your opportunity to do better. Because the bosses are designed in such a way that you can learn from your mistakes, as Taylor explains to me.
If a mechanic kills you, it should be clear why it killed you and how you can prevent it. That way, you should be prepared to avoid your death in the next attempt, at least from that one mechanic.
This repeats until you defeat the boss – even though this can sometimes take quite a long time. But I am now used to long sessions in Remnant:
When I played Dark Souls and Bloodborne, most bosses really destroyed me. In Remnant, it is different; they are still challenging but not unfair. So I asked: how do you balance the bosses so well?
Taylor’s answer:
From Software [the makers of Dark Souls and Bloodborne] aims for a higher difficulty. We try a lot, test a lot, to hit the difficulty at the point where it ideally is. It should be hard, challenging, but not frustrating. […]
I think clarity is one of the most important things in this. When you die, you should know what happened and do better next time. That is more or less the definition of whether something is frustrating or not. If I just die and think I need to get better magically, that’s really frustrating.
He also told me that he will be watching a lot of streams soon to see what players come up with new builds or where they have difficulties. This then results in buffs and nerfs for equipment and bosses.
The Rat Mage Ikro is quite tricky – will he get a nerf?
By the way, some bosses require not only your gaming skill but also solving puzzles. The world boss Ravager, for instance, does not have to be fought but can alternatively be put to sleep. To do this, you need to play a melody with bells, similar to the bell puzzles in Yaesha.
More Options with the New DLC Subject 2923
On August 20, the new and final DLC of Remnant, Subject 2923 was released. It contains a ton of new enemies, bosses, and weapons – and thus also new possibilities for groups to assemble combos.
Especially melee fans should be able to have a lot of fun with Subject 2923. Some of the new weapons and armors grant life steal in melee or increased damage. When asked what kind of new builds would be possible, Taylor excitedly explains to me:
Oh boy, there is really a lot. What you are wearing, for example, allows for some pretty crazy melee builds with life steal. Especially melee fighters have probably received a lot of cool stuff. […]. I don’t know all the new items, but I have seen that many people on reddit are building different builds that deal alternating heavy damage in melee and then in ranged combat.
My “Warlord’s Armor” prevents healing from dragon hearts and instead increases life steal while I take damage myself. Ideal for aggressive, interesting melee builds.
However, he has the luxury of not needing to know everything about the game himself but can still discover much on his own. He is only responsible for the bosses. However, he has created a nasty opponent in Ikro, the Rat Mage, who will provide tough fights especially in the new Survival Mode of the “Swamps of Corsus” DLC with its frost mechanics.
However, he still has a lot to see in Subject 2923 that he does not yet know and puzzles to solve that he has not yet cracked. The puzzle of Dr. Weisskopf for instance, through which I have already felt so dumb, he has not yet cracked either.
So How Do I Best Play Co-op?
In short, here are some tips for playing together with friends from someone who must know how it works:
Coordinate how you play in the group. Do you want to assign roles or play riskily?
Properly coordinate. Not every boss will be easier if more people are shooting at it.
Get the right equipment and refine your build. If you’re missing something, collect the corresponding gear in adventure mode.
Don’t get frustrated. Learn from your mistakes or your teammates’ mistakes and do better.
Remnant has a unique place in Soulslike games with the ability to create supportive builds. This makes the co-op aspect even deeper and more interesting. If you need a little help, you can find tips for getting started in Remnant: From the Ashes in our special. But let us know: How do you play Remnant with friends? What are your tips for teamwork?
This is an AI-powered translation. Some inaccuracies might exist.
The MMO shooter Destiny 2 will push large parts of the base game and the expansions from 2018 into the “Content Vault” on November 10th. Content that players have purchased will no longer be playable. Although the “Beyond Light” expansion is not Destiny 3, it is also no longer a Destiny 2, says our author Schuhmann.
What is happening? Bungie refers to the mechanic as harmlessly the “DIT” – the “Destiny Content Vault.” This ultimately means that older content from Destiny 2 will disappear and cannot be played until Bungie might someday retrieve it from the vault.
Emperor Calus – his hour strikes in November. Then he will be removed from Destiny 2.
With the locations, all PvE activities and the associated rewards will disappear. Bungie has now precisely listed what will go away from Destiny 2 and into the vault (via bungie). They are:
the 5 locations listed above
7 Strikes
2 Gambit maps
11 PvP maps
7 PvP modes
5 Raids (4 of which are in Leviathan)
11 Exotics Catalysts
Additionally, the “complete entry experience” of Destiny 2 will initially disappear into the vault: What you can currently play for free as “New Light,” is gone: the Red War, Curse of Osiris, and Warmind. Bungie wants to offer players a new “Guardian Origin Story,” essentially a new entry point.
The seasonal content of Season 2, the forges, the reckoning, and the menagerie are completely going into the vault. The story campaign of Forsaken and the 2019 expansion “Season of Dawn” will remain in the game as long as players have purchased them.
Forsaken remains from 2018 – but not much else.
In short: Bungie is throwing away almost all content from the first 2 years of Destiny 2 out of the game.
The move to the “Content” vault is not a final goodbye. The content is expected to come back later, at least theoretically.
As a bonus, players have been promised that old content from Destiny 1 will come to Destiny 2, such as some strikes from the Cosmodrome or the cult raid “The Glass “.
That was probably the plan that publisher Activision Blizzard favored. But Bungie separated from them – probably over this very conflict:
Activision seemed to want Destiny 3 as a launch title for the PS5
Bungie preferred to continue with Destiny 2
Luke Smith (left) and Mark Noseworthy (right) are setting the direction for the “new Destiny”.
We don’t know for sure, the internal matters are closed. But it seems likely that “Call of Duty” Activision insisted on having a new title on the shelves every year.
While as early as 2017 it was heard that Destiny lead Luke Smith didn’t see many reasons to start fresh with “Destiny 2.” Smith was certainly very unhappy with Destiny 2 in hindsight.
For the new places and content of these campaigns to fit in Destiny 2, old content must disappear, or else the game would burst at the seams.
Therefore, Bungie is now putting two years of paid content into the Content Vault.
Eramis. She will be the new Ghaul.
This is the problem: These are contents that players purchased and paid for in 2017 and 2018. No one made it clear to them that these contents had an expiration date and that they only had limited access to the content.
No one said: “Play this right away, or it will be gone.”
Normally, it is assumed that “Games as a Service” games will grow larger over time, but Destiny 2 will be significantly smaller on November 10th. This was not communicated to players before. Only in the last few months has it become clear that Bungie will remove content.
Destiny creates an interesting precedent, as the U.S. site Forbes explains in detail. This is a new era of gaming. Destiny 2 is compared to a subscription service like Netflix. Everything is only for a limited time.
Ultimately, it is the ultimate “Fear of Missing Out” content: What you did not play when it was relevant can no longer be played. You missed it.
Needs space: The Exo-Stranger and Beyond Light.
Beyond Light is not Destiny 3, but a Destiny 2.5
What’s behind this: Stripping half of the game is actually a huge move, but in a way, it feels almost normal for Destiny. Because Destiny 1 and the content players paid for from 2014 to 2016 are currently also not accessible in Destiny 2, making them irrelevant.
Destiny has already become significantly smaller when a new game came out and all “old content” disappeared.
What is really happening here is that Bungie is leaving behind the first 2 years of Destiny 2 and moving on. Just as they did before with Destiny 1.
Only this time it is being packaged and sold differently: But “Beyond Light” is in many ways a Destiny 2.5.
He is now in charge of Destiny 2: Luke Smith.
Starting November 2020, things will change a lot in Destiny 2. The game’s director Luke Smith has analyzed the last years, drawn his conclusions, and announced a shift in the fundamental direction of Destiny.
Many aspects of the game will no longer be so easy to miss. Ironically, considering what will happen to the old contents on November 10th:
Borderlands 3 has introduced its fourth and currently final DLC. It apparently takes place entirely in the mind of the Psycho Krieg – no wonder things get pretty wild there!
When is the 4th DLC coming out? The DLC “Psycho Krieg and the Fantastic Fustercluck” will be released on September 10. Thus, Borderlands 3 remains true to its three-month plan, after the 3rd DLC was released in June.
With a trailer, Gearbox has now presented the new content. And as one could expect from the title, it’s going to be quite – well, psycho indeed:

Who is Krieg? After a teaser hinted at the crazy Psycho Krieg, the trailer puts the poor madman right in the spotlight. Fans of the series will remember Krieg from Borderlands 2, where he stormed into the hearts of fans as the sixth playable character in the form of a DLC.
However, he is not completely insane; he also has a sane side that is constantly at war with the psycho side. This inner conflict could also be observed a bit through echo logs in Borderlands 3.
What does the DLC offer? In the new DLC, scientist Tannis has her sights set on the place “Vaulthalla” – she sees it as the reason for the madness of the psychos. Since you can’t really ask Krieg about it – he usually just screams at you – you travel into the mind of the madman. Of course.
Maya was also shown in the trailer – Krieg had a special relationship with her
There, you will now have to face all manner of horrors from Krieg’s insane imagination. These include completely crazy enemies, a train called “Locomöbius,” and manifestations of old acquaintances. Among others, Brick and Lilith are shown – and of course Maya, with whom Krieg had a very special connection.
In addition, you will find plenty of weapons, gear, and cosmetics – which should also work outside of Krieg’s mind. With the 4th DLC, the season pass of Borderlands 3 will be fulfilled for now. However, it’s possible that there will still be more to come.

On May 5, the survival MMO Population Zero launched in Early Access on Steam. Now, at the end of August, the player numbers do not look good. At one point, it actually had 0 players, thus living up to its name.
What kind of game is it? Population Zero is a survival game from the Russian developer Enplex, which aimed to shake up the genre with some cool ideas:
There are various game modes, including pure PvE or PvP.
Each mode runs over a specific cycle (usually 7 days) and is then reset.
Within the cycle, you are supposed to complete tasks and can unlock permanent progress for your account.
How is the MMO doing today? Already at launch, Population Zero faced issues. Due to the lack of important features like playing in groups or guilds, the first reviews were very negative.
In the weeks following, the developers announced many updates and shared a short-term and a long-term roadmap. But the player numbers look bad today, on August 25, on Steam.
At the time of the article, at 4:00 PM, 0 players were playing Population Zero. In the last 24 hours, there were still 2. Since Population Zero was only released on Steam, this is the complete population of the MMO.
Does Population Zero have a future? The reviews in the last 30 days paint a very negative picture of the game. Of the 19 reviews, only 31% (6) were positive.
Players still complain that fundamental features such as custom key binding are missing and that the grind is too heavy. Additionally, the low player count is now a significant drawback.
The developers themselves tried to turn things around with some updates. At the end of July, they even announced Twitch Drops to get attention.
Population Zero relies on a sci-fi setting, but with medieval weapons like spears instead of futuristic laser weapons.
However, since this announcement on July 25, there has been silence. Whether Population Zero will receive another update is currently unknown. Whether a new update can save the game is also uncertain.
In Pokémon GO today, on August 25, the Spotlight Hour with Geodude is taking place. We will show you the bonuses and tell you if the hour is worth it.
What is a Spotlight Hour? This event occurs every Tuesday in Pokémon GO. In August all Spotlight Hours and their Pokémon were known. We are currently waiting for an overview for September.
During the Spotlight Hour, a Pokémon is highlighted and appears everywhere. In addition, there is a bonus.
This time it’s all about Geodude from Generation 1. The Alolan version is not available, according to players from Australia, whose hour has already taken place.
All info about the Spotlight Hour with Geodude
When does the event start? The Spotlight Hour starts today at 6:00 PM local time. For exactly one hour, until 7:00 PM, you can take advantage of the bonuses.
What bonuses are there? Of course, the increased spawns are again the most important feature. You will encounter Geodude everywhere.
Additionally, you will receive double Stardust for catching Pokémon. You will get 200 Stardust per Pokémon. If you use a Star Piece, you’ll even get 300.
Is there Shiny Geodude? Yes, Geodude is a Shiny and can be caught in this special version during the event. This is interesting for collectors because you need 3 Shinies to complete the family.
The Geodude family in the Shiny version.
Is the Spotlight Hour worth it? Of the Spotlight Hours in August, this event is one of the better ones. You have a chance at a Shiny and also receive double Stardust.
So take advantage of the hour to benefit from the strong bonuses.
Just before the official reveal of CoD 2020, fresh details about the new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War were leaked – including information about the campaign and the Zombies mode. We summarize the most important points for you.
This was discovered: In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone, there was a major Mid-Season Update for the current Season 5 today. This patch not only brought various new features for MW and the accompanying battle royale into the game, but also proved to be a goldmine of information for the new CoD 2020.
How reliable is this information? These are not officially confirmed details, so you should treat them with caution. However, the information comes directly from the current CoD installment. The likelihood is therefore quite high that these details could prove to be true.
With the release of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, there are now numerous theories being discussed, and they are becoming more accurate. Several reasons now suggest a release on November 10 – however, one also speaks against it.
While this is not a concrete statement, a release in November would come after important events like Gamescom and Blizzcon, and just in time for the Christmas season. This already makes it a likely month.
Additionally, the beta of Shadowlands started in July. Traditionally, the beta of a new expansion in World of Warcraft lasts exactly 4 months, with few exceptions. This would also point to November 10 as a possible date.
The third reason is that in the currently running beta of Shadowlands, the first PvP brawl has been assigned a date. It is set to start in 98 days from the time of writing, on December 1.
Could this information possibly leak the release of Shadowlands?
By then, Shadowlands would already need to be released. Furthermore, a brawl typically begins with the first season, which appears three weeks after the release of an expansion.
Counting three weeks back from December 1, we again arrive at November 10.
What reason speaks against it? Only the already deployed pre-patch on the PTR disrupts this calculation. Pre-patches traditionally stay on the PTR for about four weeks before they go live and remain active for another 2-4 weeks.
Based on these dates, Shadowlands would already have to release a month earlier, in mid-October. A release before October is already virtually ruled out, as some mechanics from Battle for Azeroth will still definitely be active by then. That makes mid-October also quite unlikely, as it would be strange to take something away from players that they have just received.
Many rumors and theories surround the release of the new expansion; however, nothing has been confirmed so far. Our date here is also based on assumptions that have not yet been confirmed. Nevertheless, the release on November 10 seems to become increasingly likely.
In endgame, New World currently focuses not only on various PvE events but also on fortress battles in PvP, the so-called wars. MeinMMO editor Alexander Leitsch had the opportunity to play such a war in advance. He had a lot of fun in the battle, but some points also worry him.
What are the wars? The game world of the MMO is divided into many zones with settlements and fortresses. The fortresses are under the control of a company (the guilds in New World) and can be attacked and captured by another company.
As the owner of a fortress, you can choose specific times when you become attackable. If a company then challenges you, a 50v50 fight takes place in an instanced area.
The battle lasts 30 minutes and includes several capture points, fortress walls and gates, as well as siege weapons on both sides. Either the attacking guild succeeds in penetrating the fortress and capturing the capture point, or the defenders win after the time has elapsed.
In front of the defenders’ gates, there are capture points that attackers can use for respawning after death. However, the goal is to capture the point in the fortress.
Which event did I participate in? I had the chance to participate in a war on August 24, just before the preview event for pre-order customers. Since the focus was solely on the battle, we were given characters at level 60 with the best equipment.
In this scenario, 50 attackers faced off against 50 defenders. Employees from Amazon were present on both sides, providing us with strategies and explanations.
The event gave me a good insight into the battles for fortresses. And while the war was really fun, it also highlighted some problems for me.
If you are more interested in the PvE of New World, we have summarized everything important here:
The preparation: To participate in a war, you must register at a board in the settlement belonging to the fortress. In our case, the registrations were limited, and everyone got a spot. However, if more than 50 players register on each side, the governors of the respective companies decide who can participate and who cannot.
The participating players are divided into 10 groups of 5 players each. We also used this division as attackers to coordinate with each other. Because tactics play a significant role in the wars.
Before the war actually begins, I had 15 minutes to listen to the tactical meeting, equip gear, and buy ammunition and potions from merchants. And since I wanted to go into battle as an archer, a large number of arrows was important. And then it finally started.
In the armory, you can equip yourself appropriately before the battle.
The battle begins: At the start, we all ran together to capture point B first. After that, groups 1 to 5 went to point A, while groups 6-10 went to point B.
From the captured points, we tried to break down several of the 5 gates of the fortress. Siege weapons like cannons are helpful in this. But the defenders also have access to machines, including a Gatling gun, a horn for buffs, and oil pots that create a flaming inferno in front of the gates.
I found my first death due to a huge explosion at capture point B, caused by siege weapons and several fire spells from enemy players. The effect storm is not as bad as, for example, in World vs. World in Guild Wars 2, but especially the smoke grenades from the hunters and the siege weapons are overwhelming in the first minutes.
Deaths in the sieges are not your end in the battle, by the way. In waves that get longer as the fight progresses, you return to the fray.
If you die during the battle for the fortresses, you return in waves. In this case, I had to wait 9 seconds.
The fight for the gates: While we were able to capture the outer points relatively quickly, breaching the fortress was significantly more challenging. The defenders held their ground well and achieved many kills while standing on the walls in a relatively safe position.
However, over time, I learned to handle my bow better and also with the 3 skills that go with it. Aiming, especially with the AoE ability, was not easy at all. This, along with the learning curve of the other attackers, gradually drove the defenders off the walls and led to the first destroyed gates.
However, defenders can repair the gates, which was utilized multiple times.
The defenders stood securely on their walls. Charging against them was really exhausting.
The breakthrough: After a painfully long 16 minutes, we actually managed to keep two of the gates permanently in ruins and make an advance into the fortress. I, as an archer in light armor, kept myself in the background for a long time.
Because directly in the fortress lurked many enemies who repeatedly hurled their AoE and ranged abilities at the narrow passageways.
Particularly enjoyable for me was to engage in smaller ranged duels with the defenders. Again and again, I targeted enemies on the walls or behind the gates and tried to take them out with some shots from a great distance. In New World, you have to aim very carefully with your bow.
A ranged duel between me and the defender.
The end: In the last 5 minutes, we became increasingly anxious and ran almost aimlessly toward the center of the fortress. After all, we attackers wanted to win the game.
The battle was really cool, but I still have concerns
How did I find the war? Although the first minutes were total chaos, we as attackers sometimes ran around a bit aimlessly, and the war was not won, I really had fun during the battle.
Throughout my time in MMOs, I have participated in several sieges, especially in GW2, ESO, and Black Desert. Compared to those, New World makes a good impression, though not an outstanding one:
As in many other MMOs, all attackers can buy and freely place the siege weapons. Defenders, on the other hand, only have weapons at certain locations.
A big advantage is that the battles take place instanced, balancing player numbers.
Additionally, there are relatively few skills per player, making direct duels a bit more skillful. Dodging and blocking play a significant role; one-shots are not common, aside from siege weapons. A player from the alpha praised this and described the combat system as the best part of the MMO.
Another cool aspect is that you can already participate in the fights at level 10, after joining one of the 3 factions. While you become more useful at higher levels, gaining access to more skills, there is a scaling system, so you’re not completely useless at level 10.
However, the war also highlighted some issues for me.
What bothers me about the combat system? While the combat system is action-packed due to the dodge roll, blocking, switching between 3 different weapon sets, and targeting opponents, the attacks are slow, and the animations are sometimes very long. As a result, everything feels sluggish.
I also have a personal problem with the ammunition for muskets and bows. While melee weapons and spells can be used almost continuously, this weapon requires ammunition that you can craft or buy. During the fight, I frequently ran out of arrows and had to continue fighting with a wand. Because melee combat with light armor would likely have been my immediate death.
In New World, there are no classes; your armor and weapons determine your play style.
What is wrong with the performance? Another drawback for me was the performance, which also plagues the 3 above-mentioned MMORPGs. Whenever many players stand in one place, my FPS dropped significantly.
In one situation, the game froze for 3 seconds, which led to my death. I could have avoided it otherwise with a dodge roll. This can be very frustrating in crucial situations.
What concerns do I have about the players? The war with the developers was in perfect balance. 50 players fought against 50 players. But will that always be the case in the endgame?
From my own experience, I know how difficult it is to always get even 10 people together for a raid in GW2. A battle for fortresses depends on several factors. Especially as an attacker, you always have to adhere to the times of the defenders. A consistent schedule every week will likely be hard to maintain.
While you can fill your group with random players, if they don’t want to participate in the communication and strategy of the company, you still play at a disadvantage.
Another concern is that, in the end, a few large guilds will control everything, and smaller guilds will have no chance against the established teams. It’s questionable how long the established guilds will still enjoy New World.
Not only does New World rely on fortress sieges.
Interestingly, I currently have the same three concerns in Crowfall, a PvP MMORPG that is in beta. Here, too, sieges are the focus, and here too there are issues with the combat system and performance.
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a colorful, fun battle royale, but when it comes to cheaters, honest players show no mercy! Therefore, they would rather heroically sacrifice themselves than let the cheater win. Meanwhile, the developers continue to work on solutions to the cheating problem.
What do players do against cheaters? Hard to believe, but the colorful and fun battle royale game Fall Guys is plagued by massive amounts of cheaters. These despicable individuals must win even in a colorful party game, and since they can’t do it on their own, they use speed hacks or flight cheats to guarantee being the first wobbly figure at the crown in the end.
Since cheaters are just terrible and the developers have only had moderate success in combating them, players take the law into their own hands. Therefore, there are two unwritten golden rules in Fall Guys:
“If you see a cheater, take them down!”
“If a cheater is on your team, you will lose!”
A true Fall Guy would rather die honorably than win through cheating!
Players make a great effort to troll cheaters
These are the latest anti-cheater actions by players: Examples of this honorable behavior, where players sacrifice their own victory rather than letting the cheater enjoy it, abound. For instance, in this tweet, you can see the blue team actively supporting the opposing team to troll the cheater in their ranks.

Especially heroic are the sacrifices of honest players when it comes to the final round, where you are permanently eliminated if you are not the first one. Here, there’s a post where players have a cheater in the final round who has grabbed the tail and is flying around, practically unreachable.

Eventually, he comes within reach of a player who immediately steals the tail from him. The other players then do their best to hold and hinder the cheater so that he ends up losing.
What are the official measures against cheaters? Currently, the developers have announced a major offensive against cheaters. Additionally, they plan to find ways to kick discovered hackers directly from the game and not just issue a ban at the end of a round.
The German team Schalke 04 unexpectedly becomes the favorite-killer in League of Legends . After a disastrous start to the 2020 LEC season, the Royals have been sweeping aside everything that crosses their path on the Summoner’s Rift for weeks. They remain undefeated in the playoffs as well. Even the supporter of the best team in Europe, G2 Esports, is a little scared.
Here’s what the competition says about Schalke: The support player of the European top team and 2019 World Championship finalists, G2 Esports, is Mihael “Mikyx” Mehle. The 21-year-old Slovenian spoke in an interview with Inven. The conversation turned to Schalke 04’s miraculous run.
When asked if he was afraid of Schalke, he opened his eyes wide and laughed.
„I think I’m afraid they might make it to the finals and wipe out every opponent 3-0 that stands in their way. They look pretty unstoppable right now. So I hope someone else takes them out. They’re really quite scary right now.”

Schalke wins first playoff series decisively with 3-0
What’s going on with Schalke? The season started poorly for Schalke. They lost the first 8 of 18 league matches in a row. At that point, the series was practically over. Especially since they suffered 2 more losses and stood at 1-10, looking hopeless.
But suddenly everything was different: Schalke turned it around and won the last 7 matches of the regular season, miraculously qualifying as the 6th and last team for the playoffs.
Somehow Erberk “Gilius” Demir had become one of the best junglers in the world overnight, and strange things were happening at Schalke.
Now everything was suddenly different at Schalke: The team that couldn’t win had become a team that couldn’t lose.
Gilius: The jungler is considered the star of the team and is currently in top form.
Schalke started the playoffs over the weekend and confidently swept aside their first opponents, SK Gaming, with a 3-0 victory. Right now, Schalke seems to be doing everything right. This even scares the stars of G2 Esports.
In the clip, you can see how cleverly and patiently Schalke sets up a teamfight with SK, which they then win securely.

Schalke close to qualifying for the LoL Worlds 2020
This is the situation in European LoL for the Worlds: In the summer playoffs of the LEC, the league champion is determined, but also who will travel to the Worlds 2020 in Shanghai, China:
The 3 best-placed teams in the playoffs get guaranteed spots
Team No. 4 gets a spot in the preliminary round
With Fnatic and G2 Esports already qualifying for the 2020 World Championship, they are certainly among the last 3. The team “Rogue” is at least certain to be 4th and thus has secured at least a spot in the Play-Ins.
In the coming weeks, it will be decided whether Schalke will go to the World Championship and whether they will have to go through the preliminary round or start directly in the main event.
These are the stars of Fnatic and G2 Esports: They are definitely at the World Championship.
Schalke is still competing for the LEC 2020 championship title
This is the situation in the championship: But actually, Schalke is currently competing for the championship title. Due to their poor placement in the current season, they start directly from the Loser’s Bracket. To win the LEC title from the Loser’s Bracket, they need to overcome many obstacles and beat each of the other 6 participating teams.
While the top teams only need to win 3 series to become champions
Schalke 04 must win 5 times in a best of 5 to crown themselves the LoL champions of Europe
First, they face the Mad Lions. If they beat them, Rogue awaits. These were the two most successful teams of the current LEC season.
And even if they manage to overcome these obstacles, Fnatic and G2 Esports are still waiting for them: the giants of European LoL.
Let’s see how dangerous Schalke really is in 2020.
The Schalke team is on a winning streak.
How strong and rare such a run from Schalke 04 from the bottom of the league to the top is, can also be seen in the extraordinary reactions that the “Miracle Run” evoked.
Everyone loves a good Cinderella story, including the fans of League of Legends:
In Valorant there is a serious problem with the assault rifle Vandal’s aim. The first shot is often extremely inaccurate. This strange random factor seems to be intentional, but many players find it way too extreme and hope that Riot will change something.
What is the problem with the Vandal? The assault rifle Vandal is popular among players in Valorant and has been firmly in the S-Tier Super Weapons list since the beta, which every player wants to get eventually as soon as they can afford it in the shop.
But the Vandal is currently frustrating many players with its erratic shooting behavior. Because even though you clearly aim at the opponent in the crosshair, the first shot often seems to follow a random deviation pattern. It often happens that what should be clear headshots miss, leaving players wondering what just happened.
The spray pattern of the Vandal is rough, but many players feel that the first shot should ideally be precise.
This strange inaccuracy frustrates many players. Currently, there is a discussion on reddit about why a tactical shooter like Valorant has such an extreme random factor with one of its top-weapons. Especially for professionals and players in the higher ranked area, such a random factor is a major annoyance.
Developer Explains “First Shot Accuracy”
This is what the developers say: Since the debate about the Vandal’s inaccuracy has been quite civil, a developer has also spoken up and tried to explain the matter. In a lengthy post, developer Classick explained that some weapons were deliberately designed with such deviation patterns.
In VALORANT, each weapon has a value for base deviation (deviation from the center). Some weapons have none (Guardian, zoomed Marshal, zoomed Operator), while others have quite a bit (Bucky, Judge, Ares). Weapons that are accurate but not perfectly accurate (Vandal / Phantom / Bulldog) have a certain unreliability at very long distances to compensate them against more precise weapons designed for those very long distances.
The first shot is therefore deliberately provided with a random factor. There is no “First Shot Accuracy” for the Vandal – meaning there is no guarantee that you will always hit the aimed spot with the first shot. However, according to Classick, you can negate the deviation by crouching and aiming down sights.

This video explains the issue with the Vandal again.
Players Find Deviation Too Extreme Regardless: The explanation from the Riot employee generally makes sense, but some players still think that the deviation in the case of the Vandal is too much. It just doesn’t feel right that a top-tier weapon like the Vandal behaves so unpredictably when shooting. Especially since this seems to occur even at medium distances and not just at the mentioned long ranges.
It remains to be seen whether the repeated complaints from players on this topic might prompt a change in the Vandal’s shooting behavior. In the meantime, you should consider whether you might want to use the more precise Phantom, even though it deals less damage at long range.

A streamer took on the challenge of completing the story of Diablo 3 without dealing damage through abilities or weapon attacks. We show you how he achieved this.
What kind of challenge is this? The streamer Chitor completed the campaign of Diablo 3 in a “pacifistic” manner. In Blizzard’s hack and slash game, the goal is generally to decimate hordes of monsters with attacks and abilities. But Chitor had an unusual plan.
His rules were:
Do not use attacks
Do not use abilities
Do not take companions (Scoundrel, Templar, Sorceress)
Do not use pets
Do not allocate Paragon points (except for movement speed)
The “trick” to this is that the player sets up their gear for Thorns damage. This means: damage dealt by enemies to him is reflected back, thus affecting the attacking enemies.
He used a legendary amulet into which he socketed a special gem. The gem is called Boyarsky’s Shard and increases the Thorns damage of the character wearing it. Additionally, there is a passive talent that increases the Thorns damage of the Barbarian class by 100%. So he chose a Barbarian for the adventure and aptly named him “AFK”.
A Door Was His Greatest Enemy in the Project
How did it go? Chitor positioned himself near enemies or intentionally walked into their attacks so that their damage would be reflected back onto them, meaning they effectively died from their own attacks. He did not actively use attacks or abilities but simply watched.
Accordingly, the boss fights were also quite “calm” for him. In the video, you see him with his arms behind his head simply watching as the bosses are slowly defeated without his active involvement.
That was a problem: Early on in his adventures, however, he encountered a problem. He was playing the campaign and had to destroy a door for a quest. Unlike other doors in the game that can be opened by clicking, this one had to be destroyed. As we all know, doors are not the most aggressive objects. And there were no enemies with area damage that could open the door for him.
This door was a big problem for Chitor
So Chitor had to awkwardly obtain Flamewalkers boots. These automatically burn the ground beneath the character and can open such doors. However, this only became possible after he reached Max Level 70 in Nephalem Rifts, away from the campaign. This detour cost him about 20 hours of gameplay and was, by his own admission, extremely boring.
With his new boots, he could finally open the door and continue his campaign. From there, things went smoothly, and he even managed to defeat Diablo at the end. We embed the video of his adventure here:

For the streamer, the project doesn’t end here. He wants to complete Act 5, which belongs to the Reaper of Souls expansion, with his pacifistic playstyle. We are curious about what challenges await him in this act and whether there will be similar problems as with the door.
Would you take on such a challenge in Diablo 3, or is it too boring for you?
Since Season 5 Reloaded, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and CoD Warzone have received some new content. One of them is the new LMG FiNN. MeinMMO explains how you can get the new weapon.
How do I get the FiNN? The new weapon has been available since the midseason update on August 24. Currently, there are two ways to unlock it:
you buy the “Mainframe” bundle in the shop
or you complete a challenge
The bundle is not yet available in the shop and will likely come with the new operator Morte. As an operator bundle, it will likely cost 2,400 CoD Points (about €20). This gives you the weapon immediately, including a blueprint that you can use for it. If you don’t want to spend money, you can simply complete the challenge.
The new LMG FiNN.
You must complete this challenge: To unlock the FiNN for free, you need to kill an enemy in melee combat with an LMG in seven different matches. Build an LMG loadout that allows you to move quickly – we recommend the Bruen Mk9 despite the nerf.
The challenge is easiest to complete in one of the multiplayer modes of Modern Warfare. Especially in the faster rounds on Shipment or Shoot House, you can easily get kills. The round does not necessarily have to be finished afterwards.
If you play for free, it might take a while, as melee kills with an LMG in Warzone are not that easy. Also, be aware that you should not have the “Quick Melee” perk on the weapon while carrying a throwing knife. While it makes melee attacks faster, it has not counted towards the challenges in the past, as you are technically using a knife and not the weapon itself.
The perk promises faster melee attacks but replaces the buttstock hit with a knife when you’re carrying one – which usually doesn’t count for challenges.
This is what the new LMG can do: The FiNN is a mobile LMG that measures its speed more in line with assault rifles than with machine guns. This property already made the Bruen very powerful before it was ultimately nerfed.
The advantage of such hybrid weapons is that you can combine the strength of an LMG with the speed of an assault rifle. However, this often comes with more difficult control or longer reload times, which can be mitigated through practice and larger magazines. Possibly, the FiNN will soon rank among our best weapons for Modern Warfare.

One of the biggest streamers right now is Jaryd “summit1g” Lazar. He recently streamed a sponsored segment for the new co-op game Marvel’s Avengers on Twitch and had a confrontation with his chat afterwards: they should keep their negative opinions to themselves. The negativity during advertising streams makes him and the channel look bad. He threatened his viewers with bans.
What was this sponsored stream about? Companies make deals with streamers to showcase their game in a “sponsored segment”. Especially the large variety streamers on Twitch, who entertain many regular viewers, are attractive for such deals.
Payment is rarely discussed. But in cases where money has been mentioned, figures in the range of over a hundred thousand dollars circulate that big streamers receive for advertising streams. Some top streamers earn in a few hours what others make as an annual salary.
This “sponsored segment” he inserted into his normal stream, between two sessions of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The sponsored streams are clearly marked as advertising.

The chat was quite negative about the game during the sponsored streams. In the chat, one could read things like:
“I’ve never seen a game that was so lacklusterly tossed together”
“I definitely won’t be playing this”
“The co-op missions look like they will just keep repeating”
“The game should be delayed until 2022”
“The game looks terrible”
“This is going to be a total flop”
summit1g scolds the Twitch chat, threatens with bans
This is how summit1g reacted: After the stream, summit1g had a serious word to say to his chat. He said he doesn’t want to hear such negativity anymore.
People could express their opinions elsewhere, that would be perfectly fine, but this is his Twitch channel. Here he makes the rules and he can ban anyone:
“You shouldn’t feel like you have the right to express your opinion here. It’s my channel. I don’t care.”

On the other hand, they are also business people who want to provide an attractive advertising environment for clients.
Both interests apparently clash starkly in summit1g’s case.
