“Nightmare isn’t fun and is unmanageable” is the criticism of many players in Back 4 Blood. Now the developers should show it themselves.
The Nightmare mode in Back 4 Blood is a really tough nut to crack, even for shooter veterans and long-time coop fans. In addition to nearly perfect coordination, clear communication, and a good dose of skill, it also takes luck to handle the Nightmare mode. Sometimes only exploits or “creative solutions” help to make any progress.
Now came the November patch – and it has made the problem even worse. Players are demanding: “Hey, developers – play it yourselves and show us, because we can’t manage it.”
Why is Nightmare so hard? There are a whole range of reasons. First of all, the difficulty level is simply high. Normal zombies deal 10 damage per hit and special zombies like Exploder can knock out Cleaners with a single blow if their special attack succeeds.
What is “a bit annoying” on Veteran and Recruit quickly becomes a death trap in Nightmare. Often, it takes less than 10 seconds for a completely healthy team to collectively lie dead on the ground.
One reason for this is also the extreme Corruption Cards, which are the negative “affixes” that exist in Nightmare. They can be so severe that a seemingly easy map becomes nearly impossible without a perfectly optimized deck to counter precisely that combination.
The frustration among players runs deep. Even weeks after the release, Nightmare seems too hard for even good players. So hard that some are now asking: Have the developers ever played this themselves and did they enjoy it?
The latest patch was supposed to correct the spawn of special zombies and prevent excessive amounts of these enemies from appearing. However, initial clips already show: It didn’t work. Up to 10 special zombies still spawn at short intervals.

Developers should show how it’s done: User SmokeyAmp demands in the Back 4 Blood subreddit that the developers should just demonstrate how to play this mode. He is at the end of his abilities. The demand has received nearly 4,000 upvotes. The post even refers to another game, Dead by Daylight, where something like that helped:
They [the developers] apparently have a much better idea of how to approach the game than the thousands of players who play it every day. Let’s see why these absurd changes in the patch were well thought out.
Vote in the comments [,whether the developers should demonstrate it].
Behaviour, the creators behind Dead by Daylight, previously refused to fix a problem with the flashlight that could instantly blind, until one of the developers was eliminated in a stream by exactly that tactic. The next day the problem was fixed. Let’s see how long Turtle Rock takes to adjust the spawn of special zombies if they actually play their game on Nightmare.
There is also a lot of support for the idea in the comments. The video about Dead by Daylight that is referenced is this one:

Many are dissatisfied and sarcastic: That Back 4 Blood has made the Nightmare mode even harder through various map nerfs and adjustments has caused backlash in the community. No-Collection-7394 wrote a post with over 1,000 upvotes on Reddit that sarcastically reflects the current state of the patch:
I see the November patch as a step in the right direction. The game was far too easy, even Nightmare didn’t offer a real challenge. But there is still a lot to do.
The first thing I want to see in the December update is a significant increase in the damage from Tallboys, Bruisers, and Crushers. For example, Bruisers should be able to kill players with one hit, even if they still have extra lives.
Then the fire rate of Stingers needs to be increased. They should fire more like a Vector. Even the Stalker isn’t a big problem, one shot every 0.25 seconds seems to me to be the right cooldown.
Waves of special zombies should be constant on every map. 10 special zombies every 30 seconds seems reasonable to me.
The health points of the bosses are now good, but you should have 2 of them appear per map, preferably simultaneously.
Finally, weapons. You nerfed melee, but forgot about firearms. I think no weapon should deal more than 10 damage.
Thanks, that’s all from me. Keep up the good work.
Will the developers respond to this? That seems rather unlikely. It’s usually an “urban legend” that developers and designers are particularly good in their own game, as some people in the subreddit point out. Developers typically don’t have the time to engage with the game as intensively as players do.
Even though the demand may not be entirely serious, it does highlight how frustrated many players currently are with the Nightmare mode.
Have you mastered Nightmare in Back 4 Blood? Or do you also have no chance in this mode?

Genre: First-Person Shooter | Developer: Sledgehammer Games | Platform: PC (Battle.net), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X | Release: November 5, 2021
With our “Find Your Next Game” format, we want to introduce you to new and older games over a period of 2 weeks that we enjoy and that you might like. This also applies to the new Call of Duty: Vanguard, which you shouldn’t dismiss just because of its setting.
What is the problem with the setting of Call of Duty: Vanguard? Old, boring, overused – these are common buzzwords associated with the setting in World War II. For Call of Duty, it makes sense to regularly return to the original setting of the series – at least many players see it differently this year.
However, if you can get a bit into the multiplayer mode of the CoD series, you shouldn’t dismiss Vanguard too quickly. As part of our “Find Your Next Game” campaign, we want to show you why Vanguard is a top CoD and can be worth it for every shooter fan:
What is Vanguard for a Call of Duty? The new CoD does not only go back to old paths regarding the setting. While there is no jetpack gameplay, the pace of the matches is very high and good movement is rewarded. Vanguard features an upgraded graphics engine from CoD MW, the CoD from 2019, and plays very similarly.
However, the multiplayer maps are designed much clearer and more open. Vanguard relies on the tried and tested 3-lane system, providing a structured layout for most maps at launch. For example, there is the chaos map “The House”, which completely lacks additional levels and offers no verticality. As you move across the map, you fire left and right from all sides and almost certainly hit an enemy who is trying to do the same.
The high pace and clear designs of the maps result in camper gameplay being less advantageous. Aggressive and tactical approaches are rewarded – those who sit in the corner and wait rarely get kills, and instead usually get shot.
If you are a fan of CoD MW but found the camping – especially at launch – one of the biggest problems of Modern Warfare 2019, then Vanguard might be the CoD you’ve been waiting for.

Everything you need to know about the new Call of Duty: Vanguard – in 2 minutes
If we exclude the setting, Vanguard is very strong
What does Vanguard do well? The multiplayer of the latest CoD offers the usual high quality in terms of graphics and gunplay, straightforward action with a lot of speed, plenty of content, and relies on established concepts for maps and modes:
Top graphics and gunplay
Although the graphical quality in multiplayer does not match that of the single-player campaign, the PvP matches are visually stunning as well. The typical high budget of a CoD gives you a stable multiplayer mode with great visuals – you can find details everywhere, even the smallest link of a tank track is distinctly visible, and the weapon and character models are brimming with additional elements to admire.
Additionally, there is the strong CoD gunplay that equips each weapon with its own feel, even though the recoil is very low. You feel the weapon with every bullet that flies from your barrel towards the enemy, and upon hitting, you receive visual and auditory feedback to emphasize the sense of strength.
While Vanguard is not entirely free of bugs after launch, the technology and gameplay feel are right and allow you to immerse yourself in a fast-paced weapons spectacle.
Everywhere you can discover small details.
Weather effects create atmosphere.
Almost every scene appears engaging.
And from a window wall in the kitchen …
… you can turn into a shooting gallery with a few bullets.
High Action Factor
In terms of gameplay, Vanguard emphasizes its claim to be one of the fastest current shooters on the market. The time-to-kill is significantly lower compared to its predecessor Cold War.
This helps players who prefer to take it a bit easier, as they have to land fewer hits. On the other hand, players with higher demands will also find satisfaction, as quick reflexes and good movement are required. Aggressive gameplay is more supported than in recent years, which thwarts chronic campers.
Moreover, the launch maps for the 6v6 modes are almost all very open, with clear paths. This means that you rarely wander around the map for a long time without encountering an opponent.
A new feature in Vanguard even allows you to choose how many players you want to approach the match with. This is called “Combat Pacing” and allows up to 48 players in a normal CoD mode on large maps. This way, you can turn almost any map into a Shipment or Nuketown experience, and every match becomes a ruthless test of your will.
Lots of Content
At launch, Vanguard loads up on content in multiplayer compared to its dripping predecessors. 16 key 6v6 maps are available after release, and with the popular map Shipment, new content arrives on November 17.
Black Ops Cold War launched with only 8 standard maps, and Modern Warfare had only 6. Compared to the last two years, there is much more content available for standard modes, even though a major mode like “Ground War” or “Combined Arms” is missing.
The layout of most maps at launch is based on the 3-lane system. This usually means that there are different paths across the map that offer opportunities for all play styles to express themselves. The simplest example is the small map “The House”:
One of the paths on the edge offers plenty of cover and smaller rooms for close combatants
The center is completely open and provides long sightlines for long-range fighters
The other path opposite the close combat lane offers larger rooms and areas for medium combat distances
With Vanguard, this concept has been fully implemented again, creating a clear structure and leading to fun battles.
At launch, you’ll also find classic game modes like Search & Destroy, Domination, or Team Deathmatch. Here, Vanguard remains rather conservative after release and introduces only one new mode for the 6v6 battles – a variation of the game mode “Hardpoint” with a capture point that moves throughout the match.
However, Vanguard hasn’t forgotten the fans of small fire-fight battles. In “Champions Hill,” you can fight as a duo or trio against 7 other teams until all lives are exhausted and it all comes down to the finale.
Completely not relying on innovations, Vanguard has also included leveling for your operators, a new anti-cheat system is being established, and killstreaks are back in the game. You can find more about the innovations here:
What issues are there after launch in multiplayer? However, the multiplayer is not without its errors. Although most matches run smoothly, there are occasional connection drops in the first week after release. One or another mechanic still has a quirk – the first update with bug fixes has since been rolled out.
Also, the spawns are not always optimal. Especially when Combat Pacing throws several dozen players onto the map, the spawn points tend to mess up. Additionally, Combat Pacing itself has received a little criticism, as it can lead to matches that you actually don’t want to play. The spawns are a high priority for the developers – but there have been no announcements regarding issues with Combat Pacing so far.
Some challenges for weapon camos are also not quite on point, and the camos themselves look somewhat cheap. Whether anything will be done here remains unknown for now.
Grinding for hours for one of the worst diamond skins.
What about the other game modes? The highlight of Vanguard is definitely the multiplayer – the campaign and zombie mode offer few surprises and are even considered worse than last year with Cold War.
The solo campaign provides the expected action and also variety, but is filled with flat clichés and is only over after 4 to 6 hours. You can read more about the campaign here:
A complete test by the colleagues at GamePro (via gamepro.de)
There’s not much good to say about the zombie mode after release either. The first zombie experience “The Beginning” attempts a new match flow and comes without any major Easter egg to explore.
Currently, the mode is a very repetitive completion of the same missions, and only after 15 or 16 rounds does the difficulty level increase. However, even then, it’s just mindless shooting at the 3 different types of zombies without much replay value.
What’s next for Vanguard? The live seasons system from past years continues with CoD 2021. Every few weeks, Vanguard will deliver an update with new content such as fresh maps, cosmetics, and modes. Additionally, small playlist updates highlighting certain modes and maps will come every few days.
The Battle Pass is also back in the game, and in each season, you can secure plenty of cosmetics in exchange for 1,000 CoD points (about €10) and playtime. However, gameplay-relevant content is always free, and the Battle Pass offers a few free unlocks as well.
Currently, it’s quite possible that Vanguard will offer more than 40 6v6 maps by the end of its life cycle. However, with the release of the next CoD in 2022, Vanguard will effectively come to an end – the focus will then shift completely to the new Call of Duty.
During the live season, Vanguard will increasingly merge with the Battle Royale Warzone. The two shooters share content, events, and all Vanguard weapons will also come to Warzone. Even the polished graphics engine will take over the battle royale, and if you are warmed up in Vanguard, you can start directly in Warzone.
The highlight of this “merger” is the new map “Caldera,” which will be introduced with the start of the first season on December 2. You can take a first look at the map here:

How great a fast CoD can be without campers
The “Call of Duty” series has held a steady place on my hard drive for many years, and although I haven’t always agreed with the gameplay decisions, I’m very pleased with the current development.
The setting has never been important to me. My focus has always been on the playability and the feeling when I slide across the map at full speed and shoot wildly around me. And it is precisely here that Vanguard has convinced me.
If you detach yourselves from the setting and just want to experience a good CoD with few campers and lots of action, then I advise you: Try Vanguard, even if the setting feels outdated and out of fashion.
Because while you hunt down your enemies across the map with killstreak tunnel vision and fire several magazines through your barrel, you don’t care if the weapon comes from the 1940s or the 2040s – it’s just fun. And the outlook for a year full of new content rounds off my good overall impression, despite minor flaws.

More and more well-known WoW faces are switching to the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV or at least taking a brief look at it. Many new and exciting opinions about the game are coming to light. The streamer Pyromancer even says the game is like therapy for him.
Who is Pyromancer? Pyromancer is a 25-year-old Twitch streamer, primarily known for the MMORPG World of Warcraft. He currently has 67,000 followers on Twitch and averages 3,110 viewers at the same time (via sullygnome).
He has been active on Twitch since 2015 and originally gained fame through the MMORPG World of Warcraft, which he has increasingly gotten frustrated with. For some time now, Pyromancer has been active in Final Fantasy XIV and feels very comfortable there.
Where do the statements come from? On November 9th, the streamer released a video on YouTube, in which he talks about the positive aspects FFXIV has on him and his life.
Originally, it was about the delay of the Endwalker expansion and answering the question of whether he would play Endwalker at release. He answered with no and explained why not.
This explanation turned into a sincere love letter to Final Fantasy XIV, even though it has its flaws here and there.
“It’s crazy, but it’s a kind of therapy for me”
What does he say in the video? Pyromancer explains that he does not want to play Endwalker at release and may not even be able to. He is currently still in the story of Stormblood and even if he tried hard, he might not reach Endwalker in time, he says.
After that, he discusses the emotional side of the delay and MMORPG in general and explains that FFXIV trusts him, something he had lost before.
Here you can see the video yourself:

How does the game affect him? Pyromancer explains in the video that he is not an angry person by nature, but tends to lose control of his anger sometimes on certain topics.
Final Fantasy XIV helps him regain that control. He is thrilled about what the game brings out in him.
Through Final Fantasy XIV, I feel better about myself; it helps me control my anger better. It’s crazy, really. It’s a kind of therapy for me. […] The game actually teaches me to control my anger. It helps me not to be so hard on myself when I make mistakes. […] The game is really therapy and it works, really well.
Pyromancer in the video
He seems genuinely relieved in the video as he reads these lines about Final Fantasy XIV. He recommends all players and viewers to take another look at FFXIV if they feel they are an angry person, because he is not, Pyromancer says further.
The story and narratives in FFXIV help him cope better with himself. He seems genuinely enthusiastic while talking about it. He is surprised himself that a game could have such an effect on him.
But the developers do not only focus on the mental health of the players, as Pyromancer finds:
“You can immediately see that they [Square Enix] care about the players. The self-image of the players, the mental health of the players, and the players’ time is highly valued by the developers.”
What he says about the developers: This enormous effect can only be achieved in Final Fantasy XIV because the developers love the game as much as the players do. Pyromancer is convinced that Square Enix and especially Yoshi-P, one of the lead developers of the game, want nothing but the best for FFXIV and for Endwalker.
This feeling is entirely new for him as a WoW player. Why that is, he elaborates:
I’m a newer player, just to clarify that. But I can tell you that I have great trust in Square Enix and Yoshi-P. I have trust and confidence that they are executing this [Endwalker] in a way that is best for the players. And that is kind of creepy for me, because World of Warcraft and Blizzard have completely destroyed my trust in developers.
Pyromancer in the video
Then he goes into more detail about the delay of Endwalker, which he very much supports. However, he is sorry for all the players who took time off work for it.
He has different feelings about the delay from Square Enix than he did with his “old” MMORPG World of Warcraft because the developers at Square truly love their game:
If Blizzard were to do this expansion, I would be talking nonsense and mocking it. Because we have experienced in the past how little value a delay has at Blizzard. […] You all saw how disappointed Yoshi was about having to delay Endwalker. He loves the game, he loves the community. After A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, and Stormblood, I can really feel how much love they put into FFXIV.
Pyromancer in the video
“The entire start of Stormblood was extremely frustrating”
What are his problems with FFXIV? Even though the overall tone of the video is very positive, FFXIV is not perfect. Especially the expansion Stormblood was very challenging for Pyromancer at first.
He complained that the characters in Stormblood seem very bland at the beginning and only later gain real character traits and become interesting. This doesn’t make the addon or game bad, but it can be unnecessarily lengthy at some points.
“Stormblood is solid so far. It’s incredibly difficult to follow up on Heavensward, we all know that. But in direct comparison, we have dropped from 100 at Heavensward to about 30 at Stormblood in terms of story speed. It [the story] really starts slowly, to be honest. The entire start of Stormblood was extremely frustrating.”
However, he emphasizes that this beginning improves as players progress in Stormblood, and it is probably simply because Heavensward ended with so much energy that Stormblood can hardly follow that up.
What do you think about this? Do you share Pyromancer’s views and can you fully agree with what the streamer says? Do you perhaps also feel that FFXIV could be a kind of therapy for you? Feel free to leave us a comment here at MeinMMO.

In FIFA 22 Season 2 has begun. However, players in Ultimate Team are reporting issues with the Weekend League qualification for this weekend.
Update, 1:00 PM: In a series of tweets, EA states that the issues have apparently now been resolved – at least mostly. Accordingly, players who log in for the first time now should not have any problems.
Those who had already logged in and missed access to the finals (i.e., the Weekend League) should have it now.
For players who had qualified for the Play-Offs, access should also be granted. However, it appears that EA is still identifying the affected players to unlock access. So it may take some time.

In the SF-MMO Star Citizen the Alpha Update 3.15 went live on November 10th. The patch brings several new features – players rave that it is a “game-changer”. A gameplay trailer on YouTube receives a lot of applause.
What does the new update bring? The patch 3.15 in Star Citizen is called “Deadly Consequences”. Highlights of the patch include:
New hospitals
Medicine and healing as a gameplay element
A revised healing system
New dangerous missions
We have already reported on a bizarre concept of the update on MeinMMO. In the testing phase, players could use healing guns to overdose other players with a drug, causing them to be incapacitated.

The update is very well received: The trailer is praised.
Star Citizen: Especially the new missions are praised
What are the reactions? The reactions are overwhelmingly positive, especially towards the new trailer for update 3.15 – it already has 5,100 likes and only 120 dislikes on YouTube:
The trailer is especially praised for showing current gameplay.
A user on YouTube says it is the “most important patch” since 3.0.
The game is slowly picking up pace now
Although there are still some bugs, it already looks very good
This is how a user raves on reddit: A user on reddit is apparently completely fascinated by the patch. He recounts that he was on a mission with a friend, carefully exploring the area and gradually eliminating the enemy NPCs.
During the mission, they found a dead player and decided to do what any decent person would do in such a situation: They loaded the corpses of the enemy NPCs and the player, flew into space, ceremonially looted the corpses, and used them for target practice.
In his view, the patch is “pretty dope” and a real game-changer.
What’s behind it: Even if many point out that the patch still has some bugs and needs fine-tuning, 3.15 is apparently an update that moves the huge SF project Star Citizen significantly closer to becoming a “real game” with the missions and expanded systems.
This is apparently very well received by fans. It is noticeable that many perceive the development of Star Citizen as a journey that has been ongoing for several years.
Alongside the patch, the news also came that Star Citizen is opening a new mega-studio in Manchester, which is expected to employ 1,000 people.
The vision of Chris Roberts seems to be gradually becoming a reality:
In Battlefield Portal, you can create your own game modes for the new shooter Battlefield 2042. However, although the game will start Early Access on Friday, you can already download Portal now and create your own map for the game.
What kind of mode is this? In Portal, you have access to content and maps from three Battlefield classics:
Battlefield 3
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Battlefield 1942
From these contents and those from Battlefield 2042, you can use weapons, vehicles, and factions to create your own game mode in an editor.
The editor is web-based and can be used on various devices like tablets or smartphones via browser. You don’t even have to buy Battlefield 2042 to use the builder.
What has happened now? The website for Battlefield Portal is already live, and any user who has an EA account can already start building their own game modes there.
Event is supposed to be the reason for the start of Battlefield Portal
Why is the mode already live? Our colleagues from GameStar suspect that a capture event might be the reason for the early release of Battlefield Portal.
Also, the fact that the URL review.portal.battlefield.com indicates that the website was supposed to be tested by selected users. Now it is available to all users.
What can you do with Battlefield Portal now? If you like, you can now log in on the website and create your own mode where troops from World War II can fight against troops from Battlefield 3.
For each game, there are 2 maps and 7 from Battlefield 2042 to choose from. You even have the option to shrink the map area to make the fights more intense.
What do you think about Battlefield Portal? Will you use it now to build modes for Battlefield 2042 in advance?
Everything about the new shooter can be found here:
At a large playable event by publisher Electronic Arts, developer DICE, and Ripple Effect, MeinMMO author Tarek Zehrer finally got a closer look at Battlefield 2042. The impressions are quite mixed.
What exactly could we play? Together with colleagues from GameStar, GamePro, and Gameswelt, I was able to play in a squad. At the event, we were able to test the early access version of Battlefield 2042, which will also be available to some players starting tomorrow, November 12.
We were able to take a look at all modes of the shooter:
All-Out Warfare with Breakthrough and Conquest.
The new mode Hazard Zone, reminiscent of Escape from Tarkov and Hunt: Showdown.
In total, we spent about 10 hours in multiplayer, around 4 hours in All-Out Warfare, 2 in Hazard Zone, and another 4 hours in Portal mode.
We played on PC. Here you can find out what my impressions of Battlefield 2042 are and why I still have major concerns.
Here I quickly and compactly summarize my impressions of the play event. If you’re looking for more detailed info about the modes, you can check our overview.
Who is writing here? Tarek Zehrer is a freelance author for MeinMMO, a fan of the Battlefield series since Bad Company 2, and has invested hundreds of hours into the series.
Aside from that, he has experience with numerous multiplayer shooters. Large maps, material battles, and team play are his thing. That’s why he typically plays as a medic in Battlefield, or he plays as an engineer, the fool who runs behind your tanks on foot to repair them.
Info on hardware: Played on a PC with Nvidia GTX 1650 with 4 GB VRAM, AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor with 6 cores, and 16 GB of RAM.

Classic Battlefield moments and a lot of fun in All-Out Warfare
Our first session focused on All-Out Warfare and was thus the classic Battlefield experience on the new maps. We were allowed to try the 7 new maps like Hourglass or Kaleidoscope.
After just a bit of acclimatization, we were right in the middle of the battle, especially Breakthrough was intense, and we were able to start directly in the attacking team. By “we” I mean colleagues Dimitri Halley (GameStar), Annika Bavendiek (GamePro), and Sascha Göddenhoff (Gameswelt).
As a fixed squad, we were able to play most of the different modes together, and the war quickly forged us together. The frustration over technical issues contributed to this, but more on that later.
Our first session in Breakthrough was a lot of fun, and we had glorious moments, such as when we stormed the enemy defense point with a mini-tank, while two of us had to take a seat on the roof due to lack of space. These are the crazy moments I love Battlefield for.
Conquest was also fun, and it was interesting to get to know the new maps and find out which spots are critical and where the most fierce battles occur.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t form a comprehensive opinion on the maps yet, there simply wasn’t enough time. I can say for sure: They look damn good and each one is unique. I noticed negatively the many wide and empty areas where there is almost no cover.
In some places, you were therefore potentially defenseless against enemy snipers. This especially concerns maps like Orbital, Hourglass, or Renewal. How heavy this weighs, I cannot say yet.
Here you see the map “Renewal” from above.
Hazard Zone is interesting but has balance issues
If you’re not familiar with Hazard Zone, here’s a brief overview: The mode is a variation of the battle royale principle and also mixes PvE with PvP.
You are dropped onto a map where you encounter both human opponents and AI enemies. The goal is to collect data drives and extract.
This gives you credits, with which you can buy weapons and tactical upgrades for the next round. If you die, you lose almost everything. If you have no credits and thus cannot buy anything, you start with standard equipment in the match.
If you successfully extract, you get refunded the purchase price for the items bought. Streaks and other elements are added, which the developers call the meta-game of Hazard Zone.
While I find the idea of Hazard Zone not bad and believe that the mode could bring variety to the usual Battlefield modes, I also have some concerns.
Thus, my impression after a few rounds is that weapons are quite expensive. If you have difficulties at the beginning and can’t manage any extractions, you usually remain stuck with standard equipment, especially since there is no loot in the form of equipment, unlike what you might expect from Hazard Zone.
This could quickly lead to good players being permanently better equipped, while players with lower skill levels get stuck.
It may be a conscious decision by the developers, but it could quickly lead to a loss of motivation for players. The standard weapon is at a disadvantage in most situations, lacking any sight.
The spawn points at the beginning of a match are also sometimes suboptimal. We were frequently dropped in open areas where we immediately came under sniper fire. Despite the criticisms, I had fun, and with a few adjustments, the mode could keep players engaged longer.
I personally see it more as a nice addition, because I certainly wouldn’t buy Battlefield 2042 just for Hazard Zone. There are simply too many great competitors.
Thus, Hazard Zone feels a bit like an outsider, disconnected from the classic Battlefield experience. Apart from a jeep, there are neither vehicles nor aircraft, which means typical elements are missing. Thanks to All-Out Warfare and Portal, that’s not a problem though. Especially the Portal mode could be the big deal for the shooter.
Finally, we were able to test the new ice map “Upheaval”.
Battlefield Portal brings custom modes and offers you a lot of freedom
Portal has been the most interesting mode for me right from the beginning. Because it is not just a mode, but also a toolbox for players who want to create their own Battlefield modes.
Moreover, Portal brings back content from previous installments of the series:
Battlefield 1942
Battlefield Bad Company 2
Battlefield 3
The content includes 6 classic maps, numerous weapons, all classes, and vehicles as well as aircraft. A huge package that will already provide a lot of fun in its standard version. With the editor, creators also have various options to create their own Battlefield experience.
While we were able to take a look at the editor, we couldn’t try out any modes created by us yet. This is understandable, as chaos would be preprogrammed. At the start, we played a mode in which two teams faced off against each other. Each team had a VIP, continuously highlighted to the enemy.
The goal was to eliminate this VIP. It was quite entertaining, but the classes were not selectable, and the spawn points were completely random, resulting in being shot at from everywhere.
But that was nothing, as the developers gave us two modes that are rather atypical for Battlefield to try out.
“Arica Harbor” from Bad Company 2 is back.
Free-for-all + rockets = absolute chaos
First, there was a free-for-all where players competed against each other in a limited part of a map in a classic everyone-against-everyone format. The chaos began from the very first second, where dozens of players attacked each other simultaneously.
Sometimes players spawned side by side, and there were reports of three players appearing right in front of a colleague, who just had to take them out.
In the next round, it was taken a step further: they called it everyone-against-everyone 2.0. The “brilliant” idea: every player got a rocket launcher with just one shot. Anyone who wanted to regain ammo had to jump 5 times. Thus, the map was filled with bouncing crazy people shooting around with rocket launchers, or with people who simply pulled out knives and went into melee combat.
This is absurd and is fun for a while, but for me, it was more of a wasted opportunity to showcase the possibilities of the Portal mode. Because apart from the FFA modes, there were no other custom modes to test.
Overall, Portal convinced me, but unfortunately, the presentation left me and my squad rather frustrated. At least there was a classic round of Rush with Bad Company 2 classes and Conquest with the classes and maps from Battlefield 3 afterwards.
Map remakes are absolutely successful
While the start with the self-created modes in Portal was initially unconvincing, the classic round fully compensated for me. Bad Company 2 was my first Battlefield, and the maps Arica Harbor and Valparaiso look absolutely fantastic.
Everything is there, and even the destruction is at the level of back then. Even though the team balance at the event was very uneven, and our team was mercilessly overrun, it was a cool feeling to be back on two of my favorite maps. The Conquest rounds on Caspian Border and Noshahr Canals brought back many memories of Battlefield 3 and I enjoyed them a lot.
In conclusion, I can say about Portal: For me, the mode has the greatest potential. I can’t wait to see what players will create with the editor, and the standard scope is already enough to keep players engaged for hours. Pure nostalgia. Overall, I had a lot of fun at the event, but now comes the big BUT.
If it were up to me, Battlefield 2042 could be postponed for another 6 months
While I have no major criticisms of gameplay and scope (there was simply too little time for that), there are still plenty of technical issues to complain about.
I can at least mention a positive aspect: There are fewer “gamebreaking” bugs and glitches in the game than in the open beta. That’s something, because for me, it was periodically unplayable back then.
Surprisingly, I encountered a new issue: While the performance in the open beta was no problem at all, it is quite concerning in the early access version for me.
Yes, my GPU is certainly not a high-end graphics card. Nevertheless, it meets the system requirements of Battlefield 2042, and as I said: In the open beta, I had hardly any performance issues; my FPS rarely dropped below 60. I wasn’t the only one affected either. Participants of the event with significantly stronger hardware also complained of similar issues.
In the early access version, I had significant drops in FPS depending on the map. On the map Discarded, it was so bad that the FPS occasionally dropped from 60 to 15 and fluctuated constantly in that range. This problem primarily occurred in the Conquest mode but varied in strength across all modes.
Notably, performance degradation depended heavily on the specific map, and weather effects like tornadoes had a significant impact on it.
There are still issues with the game’s physics. Vehicle wreckage often flies strangely around, collisions seem to overwhelm the game.
At times, players simply ran in the air, could shoot through walls, and so on.
Particularly annoying for people like me, who usually play as medics: if players died too close to a wall, you simply couldn’t revive them.
Too often, my squad and I ended up losing our lives because I was foolishly flailing around a wall while trying repeatedly to revive someone.
Along with the severe performance issues, the many other problems added up to a large pile of difficulties that the game still has. The most severe issues may have been fixed, but I still don’t see a smooth release happening.
Other participants of the event also reported various technical problems they experienced.
Conclusion: Battlefield 2042 has the potential to become a really good Battlefield game. With Portal and All-Out Warfare, the basic ingredients are already present. How Hazard Zone fits into all this remains to be seen. For me, it is currently more than a bonus.
The biggest obstacle for me is clearly the technology, and I am curious how the official release on November 19 will unfold. As it stands, I fear a rough start for Battlefield 2042, especially in the early access version that we were able to play.
Therefore, I could not yet give a recommendation from a technical standpoint at launch.
It should be mentioned once again: All of this is based on 10 hours of gameplay. It is still far too early for a conclusive verdict. Questions about balance, map design, and other aspects can only be comprehensively assessed with the release and significantly more time.
When does the early access phase actually start? On November 12, participants can already start playing. The preload has been running since November 10.
Who can participate? Pre-order customers of the Gold and Ultimate Editions receive access to Early Access. Additionally, those who are subscribers to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or have an EA Play Pro subscription also get early access. The actual release will then be on November 19.
Battlefield 2042 is coming soon and just before the release, EA has published a blog post to hype things up. MeinMMO summarizes the 5 most important pieces of information from the post for you.
What kind of information is this? In the new blog post, EA goes over all the important points of Battlefield 2042 and explains the features of the new shooter. In doing so, many already known pieces of information are repeated. Some were even known from leaks.
For those who haven’t kept up to date or have been distracted by Call of Duty: Vanguard in recent days, this is the perfect opportunity to prepare.
Battlefield 2042 officially releases on November 19, 2021, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. The kick-off is at 9:00 AM German time. However, those who pre-order the Gold or Ultimate Edition can play a week earlier.
If you are playing on PC, your computer needs to have decent specs. You will need at least an AMD Ryzen 5 3600/Intel Core i5 6600K and a whopping 100 GB of hard drive space. Here you can find the system requirements for Battlefield 2042 in detail.
Specialists
Battlefield 2042 does not come with the known, generic soldiers, but offers specialists. These new, unique characters all have special abilities that are added to the loadout.
A total of 10 specialists will be playable at launch. However, they do not correspond to the classes from previous games, as you can combine them freely with weapons and even customize these weapons in the game.
The specialists are one of the big innovations in Battlefield 2042 and one of those that is not necessarily well-received. Since both sides in a match can use the same specialists, confusion between friend and foe seems to occur more frequently in matches.
Furthermore, some veterans and fans of the series miss the class system, which is part of Battlefield’s DNA. Despite the criticism, the developers are sticking to the specialists.
Mackay is one of the new specialists.
Maps and Game Modes
In Battlefield 2042, you can compete in matches with up to 128 players, depending on the platform. At release, you will be able to play on 7 maps. In the Conquest mode, you must capture sectors to fully claim areas.
During matches, natural disasters like tornadoes or map events like launching rockets can change the dynamics. Depending on the map, different events can occur. We have already summed up all the new maps and natural disasters for you.
In game modes, Conquest and Breakthrough return in “All-Out Warfare”. Additionally, with the Portal mode, there is also the possibility to play custom matches created by the community, in which contents from various Battlefield titles collide.
There is also a completely new mode called Hazard Zone, where you must rescue data from a contested zone with a small elite task force. Look for the drives and bring them out of the area without being stopped by NPCs or other players.
This is because the new generations and PC support matches with 128 players. The old consoles will have smaller 64-player matches. However, progression remains retained across platforms and generations.
If you have Battlefield for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, any progress will be carried over when you switch from the old to the new generation. With the cross-gen bundle, you won’t even have to purchase the game again.
New Content After Release
EA has revealed that Battlefield 2042 will receive 4 seasons in the first year with one Battle Pass each. In the first year, there will also be 4 new specialists, new locations, and additional content.
In addition, updates for the Portal mode are expected to create even more possibilities. However, we do not yet know what this will look like. However, only the preseason will start with the release; Season 1 will come later.
During the preseason, there will be weekly missions and rewards and limited-time modes, similar to what you know from the playlist updates of Call of Duty.
If you’re still contemplating whether to buy Battlefield 2042, we have all the versions compared for you:
In South Korea, publisher Nexon has introduced a new shooter. Project D is a third-person game featuring a destructible environment and 8 unique heroes. The gameplay is reminiscent of Valorant, but with more dynamism and better graphics. Check out what awaits you in the game here on MeinMMO.
What is Project D? Project D comes from the Korean publisher Nexon, who were also responsible for the shooter Sudden Attack, which was extremely popular in Korea.
With Project D, they are venturing into a team-oriented, tactical third-person shooter. You get to choose between 8 unique heroes, referred to as agents. The gameplay seems to correspond with tactical shooters like Counter Strike or Valorant, based on the material released so far.
So, two teams of 5 players each try to eliminate the enemy or complete a mission objective, such as defusing a bomb. Between rounds, you can buy new equipment based on your performance.
https://youtu.be/ZEnxmeUODoY
Here you see the gameplay in action.
Tactical third-person shooter like Valorant with heroes and a lot of pace
What are the features of Project D? First, it’s noticeable that Project D is played in third-person. You see your agent from a slightly behind angle. Only during sniper shots does the game switch to first-person perspective.
The next highlight is the beautiful graphics. They impress with vibrant colors, details, well-executed animations, and nice effects. Compared to the rather subdued CS:GO and the comic-like Valorant, this is a refreshing change. Project D can indeed be described as CS:GO or Valorant in a stylish version.
Another feature of Project D is the destructible environment. If you equip special ammunition, you can spectacularly blast walls, vehicles, and various other objects in the game world to smithereens. Even heavily armored battle suits earned in-game can quickly be shredded.
Also cool: Project D seems to play very dynamically and quickly. Your heroes are true acrobats who can effortlessly climb walls or skillfully glide over obstacles. Parkour elements are thus firmly embedded in the gameplay and reward a fast, dynamic playstyle.
What can the heroes do? Project D offers 8 different heroes. They all have different skills. Some are introduced in the gameplay video. Among them are a scout who reveals enemies to the team, a grumpy sniper, and a punk with dyed hair who can steal money from dead opponents for the shop between rounds.
The heroes are all designed to be very diverse and have their own visual style.
When is the game coming out? Currently, Project D is still in the alpha testing phase. Until November 30, you can register as a tester on the Project D homepage. If selected, you can play the game from December 2 to December 15.
A release date is not known yet, but there is to be a global launch. Project D will initially only be available on PC. Information regarding a console launch is not currently known.
Riot Games has announced that it will change the rules for transfers in League of Legends . This is due to the fact that the European top team G2 has sneaked a strange clause into the contract of their player Perkz, which dealt a blow to their rival Fnatic.
This is the reason for the rule change:
The US site Dotesports has obtained the documents for the sale of Perkz from G2 to Cloud 9 and discovered an interesting clause in the “Buyout” agreement.
As an addendum in the transfer, the contract stated that Cloud 9 is not allowed to sell the player to Fnatic for 3 years. Fnatic is G2’s archrival: Fnatic and G2 have been competing for the championship in Europe for years. G2 poached Fnatic’s best player, midlaner Caps, in 2019.
When Fnatic learned about the clause, they filed an official complaint. This was then escalated to higher authorities, as Dotesports knows. The result is now a rule change.
“Incompatible with the values and ideals of our sport”
This is Riot Games’ response: Tom Martell, the head of e-sports at Riot Games, issued an official statement via Twitter (via twitter).
The statement says that a clause concerning future transfers represents a new development that has not yet appeared in the rules of professional League of Legends. Consequently, G2 and Cloud 9 will not be penalized.
However, Riot has informed G2, Fnatic, and Cloud 9 that they will not participate in the enforcement of this rule. They would accept it if Perkz moves to any team that submits the necessary paperwork. That would be a matter for the respective teams.
In the future, however, Riot will prohibit such agreements. They are incompatible with the interests and values of the sport. The rules will be updated accordingly.
He is somewhat the villain of LoL: Ocelote, the head of G2.
“I won’t be tricked so easily, Bitch”
This is what G2’s mastermind says: Apparently, Ocelote, the team leader of G2, is behind the clause. He stated on Twitter: The clause was a safeguard to ensure that Cloud 9 couldn’t buy Perkz and sell him to Fnatic on the same day. Such a rule is “standard and within the rules”.
He says he won’t be tricked so easily, “Bitch” (via twitter).
How is this being discussed? The rivalry between G2 and Fnatic is well known. And G2’s head, Carlos “Ocelote” Rodriguez, is known for stoking the flames and increasing the tension.
G2 has already poached two star players from Fnatic: Caps and Rekkles.
Ocelote always feels unfairly criticized: When he sells players to the USA, it is a huge issue, and he is insulted. When other teams sell their star players to the USA, nobody cares, he claims.
On Twitter it now says:
Ocelote is now finally playing the LoL supervillain.
A Fnatic fan is angry about the decision and calls for a punishment.
Ocelote himself says he finds Riot Games’ decision completely correct.
And the affected player Perkz says: Esports offers better drama than Mexican telenovelas.
Where will Perkz go now? It seems that Perkz will actually return to Europe, but not to Fnatic.
The November patch of Back 4 Blood is causing frustration. Many players are quitting. “It’s just not fun like this.”
The first really big patch for Back 4 Blood since its release is here. The big November update brought many changes, but the player base of the zombie shooter is furious. “Do the devs actually play their game?” is often asked, as some things are now harder than before.
What’s going on with Back 4 Blood? Although the launch of Back 4 Blood went relatively well, not everything was perfect. A small patch had previously eliminated some of the worst bugs. Now there was the first planned update, and it was supposed to alleviate the most pressing issues.
The update did bring some useful additions. All Cleaners are now playable from the start, the solo mode has been renamed to “Training,” and the swarm PvP mode has received many balance adjustments to make the rounds a bit more exciting.
Especially cool and useful is that first aid stations now show a preview of how many health points they will restore. So you no longer have to guess what exactly a healing does and waste a lot of copper.
Also, some maps that were considered overpowered, such as “Money Grubbers,” have been significantly nerfed and now grant less copper.

In Pokémon GO, numerous gyms and PokéStops have appeared in recent weeks. Now, however, some of them are to be removed again. We have looked into what has happened and explain to you why the trainers are so upset.
What is it about? About two weeks ago, reports increased on social media that more and more gyms are appearing in Pokémon GO. However, these did not follow the usual patterns. Now Niantic has also commented on this situation.
They announced on the evening of November 10, 2021, via their Twitter account, that there was a bug in the game, causing gyms and PokéStops to be placed in the game that do not comply with their rules.
For this reason, they want to fix the issue in Pokémon GO, which is why some of these gyms and PokéStops will be deleted or changed. In another tweet, they address the trainers who have been pleased with the new locations and promise to keep as many of them as possible.

According to their blog post, they began these changes last night in a small area and it is now to be implemented in all other parts of the world (via nianticlabs.com).
These are the first reactions from the community
The trainers of Pokémon GO are upset and express sharp criticism mainly on Twitter. For example, animefanatic781 writes: “Instead of focusing on such things, you should rather concentrate on the number of bugs in the game” (via twitter.com).
Other players also harshly criticize this decision:
David Gil: “This will be your downfall. If these changes are reversed, you will lose a lot of players. It’s better to touch nothing and leave this bug, which helps many trainers who don’t even have a PokéStop or a gym near them.”
depessedlapras: “I appreciate the transparency here, but what I don’t understand is why you are ‘fixing’ this? Something that benefits everyone, while the GO battle league is basically unplayable”
vieiraj(oão): “I can’t understand why you keep upsetting your players”
Jason: “The players are irrelevant to them. The games are just a side income for the AR world map they are creating.”
Isio Vielen: “As always, they react quickly in the way that annoys the players the most.”
Some trainers, on the other hand, primarily express concerns about their monsters still sitting in the respective gyms with this news.
Susie Bush writes: “I hope you find a way to get the Pokémon out of a gym before you remove it, because that is an discouraging loss for the people in gyms when you remove it and their Pokémon don’t come back” (via twitter.com).
Old gyms and PokéStops changed
Meanwhile, in the first regions, a change or even deletion of the faulty gyms and PokéStops has occurred. This has now caused renewed frustration among some trainers. Not only have the new gyms been changed or deleted into PokéStops, but also ones that have existed for a long time.
Joao Sequeira angrily writes: “Thanks to your fantastic update, one of my oldest gyms is now a PokéStop…. Thanks for nothing! We are working hard to improve our area and you are ruining it!” (via twitter.com).
And this phenomenon is also reported on reddit. There, ottoguy82 writes: “A gym that has been a gym for months was just turned back into a PokéStop. I wonder if they have removed more than the bug caused?” (via reddit.com).
repo_sado agrees and writes: “I see that new gyms that violate the rules were created today, none of the new bug gyms have been removed, but an older gym has been removed” (via reddit.com).
So far, Niantic has not commented on the problem itself. Whether these places will again become gyms in the future remains open. Wayfarer, the site through which trainers can submit their suggestions for new PokéStops, has only announced maintenance for tonight from 00:30 to 05:00 local time (via nianticlabs.com).
What do you think of Niantic’s approach? Do you wish that the new PokéStops and gyms would just remain? Or are you also affected by erroneous changes, which is why old gyms are now PokéStops? Please share your opinion and experiences here on MeinMMO in the comments and exchange ideas with other trainers about it.
In New World, the PTR has launched late in the evening. On this test server, players can try out the next patch. Data miners have thoroughly searched the client and found some interesting new features. However, a change in the crafting system is already hated by many players.
What kind of change is this? According to the reddit user m4rx, there is a change in the client regarding the experience points for crafting.
The experience points needed for leveling up within life skills are said to increase significantly:
For blacksmithing at level 2, you will now need 120 instead of 100 experience points
For blacksmithing at level 200, you will now need 176,400 instead of 43,300 experience points
The experience points at the maximum level have approximately quadrupled, but the XP has also been adjusted so that items in the endgame give more XP.
This change is expected to apply to all life skills
Note: In an original version of the article, it was stated that character EP would increase. That was wrong; instead, the EP for crafting content were increased, which mitigates the overall change, but a disadvantage remains. Thanks to community members thoxx and dieselman for pointing out the error.
What does the change look like specifically? The reddit user DenidilCascadia has created a table for this. It shows that the XP granted by certain materials has roughly doubled to tripled. Thus, the change is not so drastic.
An example looks like this:
Item
Tier
XP Live
XP PTR
Increase
Linen Shirt
2
420
420
1
Satin Shirt
3
1050
1757
1.67
Silk Shirt
4
2625
5880
2.2
Treated Silk Shirt
5
5425
17460
3.22
Additionally, DenidilCascadia points out that Arcana as a profession will become a bit easier, as different materials will be used for T4 potions in the future.
More crafting XP brings nothing for characters at level 60
How is the change received? Not well. Many users on reddit criticize that it is already a strong grind to reach level 200 in a life skill, especially in crafting professions like blacksmithing or engineering. That is now increased even further.
The user PrimeTimeMKTO writes:
If this comes into the game, it’s bad for everyone who has not yet reached level 200.
Some players understand the basic idea behind the change. Many professions are currently leveled with low-level materials, such as jewel crafting with silver or blacksmithing with iron weapons. Since they give the same amount of experience at every level, you just have to craft more of them.
With the new system, endgame materials like star metal could become more important, as weapons here give significantly more XP for crafting progress.
The user ClassicKova sees it the same way:
It seems like they are trying to force players to use higher-level materials for leveling, whereas leveling with a massive amount of iron was the most efficient previously.
Adjustments to healing, a winter event, and login rewards
What else has been found in data mining? In addition to the changes to the crafting system, there are a whole range of other innovations that user m4rx has discovered.
A highlight is that healing is supposed to scale with your equipment. In medium armor, you should now distribute 15% more healing, and a bonus is also planned for light armor.
Additionally, he found the following items:
There are reward chests for reaching crafting level 200 in life skills
A type of event calendar has been found, which seems to provide daily login rewards
The experience points required for territory levels have been increased by 1.25%
Factions will be able to be changed every 60 days in the future
13 new emotes were discovered
An initial holiday event with an XP modifier has been found
You can no longer set up camps during invasions
There were numerous balance changes to the weapons
New ways to track bots and gold sellers have been introduced
The expeditions and the new area Brimstone Sands found in an older data mining have been polished
There has been work on the possibly upcoming weapon Greatsword
8 new armor skins, 3 skins for tents, a new decoration set for housing, and skins for gathering tools have been found. They are all expected to become shop items.
However, keep in mind that all these changes are based on data mining, which also took place on a test server. There is always a chance that details may change or that the adjustment will be completely removed before it reaches the live server.
What changes are guaranteed? The PTR is primarily intended to test the new major patch in November. This will bring, among other things, the new weapon Unheilsstulpen, new enemies, new quests, and linked trading posts.
On Wednesday, November 10th, Activision Blizzard (WoW, CoD) was for some time no longer the most valuable gaming company in the USA. The game Roblox, popular among children and teenagers, had a strong boost in its market value and surpassed the struggling company Activision Blizzard.
How is the most valuable gaming company in the USA measured? The “value” of a company is determined by the prices on the US stock exchange Nasdaq. By multiplying all outstanding shares of a company by the current stock price, you get the value of a company on the stock market, the market capitalization.
As the US site Gamespot reports, there was a point on Wednesday when the market value of the largest gaming companies in the USA looked like this:
Activision Blizzard was worth 52 billion US dollars
The company Roblox was worth 62 billion US dollars
Electronic Arts stands at about 40 billion US dollars for comparison
However, the situation did not last long – as stock prices fluctuate greatly and the value of Roblox dropped by nearly 18 billion US dollars within a few hours.
We extensively covered the future of Blizzard on MeinMMO:

Roblox is a gaming platform, primarily aimed at children and teenagers. The game has grown significantly in recent years and is now huge. It is referred to as a “new Minecraft.”
The company has only been on the stock exchange since March 2021 and is becoming a favorite among investors. On Tuesday, extremely strong company profits were presented in an earnings call: The company far exceeded expectations for Q3 2021. The stock market reacted euphorically – especially since everyone is talking about the “metaverse” without knowing what it actually means.
On Tuesday, the stock price rose by 42% – a surge that created billions in market value.
However, on Wednesday, the stock lost another 13% in value after the market corrected downward.
At the moment, the market value is again “only” 44 billion US dollars.
Activision Blizzard loses over 28 billion US dollars
Why is Activision Blizzard not doing so well anymore? Unlike Roblox, Activision Blizzard has lost significant market value in recent months:
On February 12, 2021, Activision Blizzard reached its peak value of 80 billion US dollars
Today, on November 11, 2021, the market capitalization stands at 52 billion US dollars
The stock value of Activision Blizzard has significantly declined after the last financial report. While the company’s results, especially due to Call of Duty, were good – Blizzard had to postpone Overwatch 2 and Diablo 4. This lowered investor expectations for the upcoming quarters and consequently the stock price.
Currently, players are hunting streamers in Destiny 2, known as Bungie Bounties, to snag a coveted emblem. Those watching the livestream can see when the bounty starts and also participate. However, the Bungie Bounty target LeopardStealth tricked everyone.
There is an emblem in Destiny 2 that can only be obtained through a special event. You can earn it through the so-called Bungie Bounties. This gives you the unique opportunity to play against or with named YouTubers, Twitch streamers, or even Bungie employees. If you manage to join the designated activity with the target person, you will receive an exclusive emblem in Destiny 2.
The Bungie Bounty event has existed since Destiny 1.
It is international and assigns targets all over the world.
The named bounties are spread between Crucible and Gambit.
Only those who manage to get matched with the target and win the game automatically earn the special emblem. It doesn’t matter whether the Bungie Bounty was on your team or not.
The first target of the Bungie Bounties on November 8 was streamer LeopardStealth. He didn’t want to make it easy for the players and trolled his community with a nasty trick.
This is how the streamer trolled Destiny 2 players: When the Twitch streamer LeopardStealth became the target of the Bungie Bounties on November 8, he already had a master plan. He didn’t want to be “caught” easily and had prepared a little trick for that.
Before it started, he had already recorded the mode selection and player search of the Crucible. He then laid this over his actual livestream.
While the Destiny 2 players were unknowingly “sniping” his Twitch stream and waiting for him to finally join, Leopard was already comfortably playing his PvP match and grinning to himself. As a result, anyone trying to join his Destiny 2 PvP match was unable to participate in time and thus could not earn the exclusive emblem.

After the prank, it continued live: After his little fun, he casually pushes his recording aside to put on his virtual sunglasses again. The bewildered fans had fallen into his trap.
Of course, the chance for the emblem was possible again afterward. A large part of the chat on his Twitch channel constantly demanded clear proof of his matchmaking in real-time. Many enjoyed it, and the gag was well received.
What does the community say about his troll action? He definitely created a great highlight of the Bungie event and brought many laughs with his action. The players didn’t hold it against him that he initially fooled them.
This emblem is what Destiny 2 players are hunting during the Bungie Bounty events.
Definitely, his action was refreshing and a great inspiration for future Bungie Bounties to come up with something for the event as well. After all, it should not be too easy when hunting for an exclusive emblem.
How long does the action last? In the current TWaB (via bungie.net), targets marked for you to hunt are still available until November 20.

Patch 9.2 of World of Warcraft is closer than we all thought. Today, Blizzard shows something new – and has already released a first teaser.
World of Warcraft has just received its Patch 9.1.5, but that alone cannot save the game – the developers know this too. Although Patch 9.1.5 brings many good adjustments, new content is needed, as most players have already seen everything that the Shadowlands have to offer. Fortunately, Blizzard is bringing fresh information, and that already today.
What has been announced? This evening, on November 11, 2022, at 7:00 PM, the developers will release a preview video for Patch 9.2. The video is scheduled to go live on the YouTube channel of Warcraft.
Since it is probably “only” a presentation video, no questions will be answered there, but rather a preview of the next major content patch will be given.
Are there already clues? Yes. Along with the announcement, a short video snippet was also shown. There, various runes with geometric shapes can be seen. Unlike the domination runes, which glow blue, these shapes are golden – possibly filled with Light.

Steve Danuser, the story chief at World of Warcraft, also made a somewhat cryptic tweet and says:
So much awaits discovery in geometry. So many truths lie in its intersections. The fractals.
This is a quote from a book that players can find in Tazavesh. The book is about the six cosmic powers of the universe and a possible seventh power that holds everything together. It is therefore assumed that we will learn more about this power in Patch 9.2 – and how Zovaal, the Jailor, intends to use it to achieve his goals.
Anyone wanting to experience what Patch 9.2 is about should tune in today at 7:00 PM (via YouTube).

When can we expect Patch 9.2? Even though it seems unlikely that Blizzard will announce a concrete release date for Patch 9.2 tonight, some speculation can already be made.
If the patch is announced today, then the PTR will probably go online sometime this week or at the latest next week. It usually takes about 3 months until the patch is fully ready for release. In the best case, the release of the patch could then be expected around mid-February 2022.
As soon as information is available, we will of course report about it on MeinMMO.

Mounts have been and still are a major topic in New World. However, there will be no mounts for the time being. Instead, the developers have now brought a change to the PTR that the players themselves suggested. In the future, you will run faster on roads.
What exactly is changing? If you are currently exploring the test server in New World, you may notice an interesting change. On the official paths in the game, you will receive a speed boost.
This means you will run 10% faster while sprinting on roads. This should make it easier to quickly reach your desired destination in some places.
Why is this change so interesting? As early as October, players expressed some ideas on how New World could make exhausting and often very long travels easier.
It states that the developers want an “immersive experience” and that port stones fit this experience better than mounts. However, she also emphasized that “nothing is off the table.” So there is a possibility that mounts may find their way to New World in the future.
However, it will be difficult to explain mounts to the characters in the world. Because according to lore, they are actually forbidden:
Call of Duty: Vanguard has brought its first update live and fixes some annoying bugs in the game. MeinMMO shows you the official patch notes in German.
Although the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard went off without too many issues, a few annoying bugs have slipped in here and there.
Sometimes a camo challenge does not count the progress, sometimes there are issues with the evacuation after a few rounds in Zombie mode. With the new update 1.05, some bugs disappear, and we show you which ones they are.
Vanguard: Update 1.05 from 10.11. – Patch Notes
Which problems were fixed? In total, the CoD developers list 16 minor and major bugs in the patch notes that they have worked on:

The deploy shield did not protect from behind when you carried it on your back
Invisible player models in “Play of the Game” and MVP voting were fixed
Progress issues with the operator Constanze
Fully leveled operators appeared as if they were at level 0
Inaccurate descriptions for some weapon challenges were revised
Progress with the 1911 pistol now goes beyond level 50
There were issues accessing loadouts/the gunsmith after level 66
Further unnamed bug fixes and performance improvements
Zombie Mode
All camo challenges for pistols can now be completed correctly
The zombie kill tracker works correctly during evacuation now
If you go down in zombie mode, the use of self-revive is now displayed correctly
If you go down during the skull escort in zombie mode and are outside the damage circle, you no longer take extra damage
All players should now be offered legendary alliances at the altar of alliances
If you check your unlocks in the after-action report, you should no longer get kicked out of the lobby
If you were downed and someone revived you, you sometimes could not use field upgrades anymore
If you want to take a look at the patch notes yourself, you need to start the game. The information about the update is currently only available in-game.
With the first major update, Vanguard apparently forgoes balance adjustments in multiplayer. Many players would have wished for overpowered options to disappear from the game, such as the extremely powerful 2-shot STG.
But it remains to be seen how the developers at Sledgehammer are handling this, whether there were possibly secret changes or if another update is already on the way in the coming days.
