After a long wait, FIFA 22 has started to distribute the next-generation gifts. However, due to an error with the Mbappé card, no one is currently receiving one of the cards.
Update, December 16, 2021: On the night of December 15 to 16, the problem has apparently been resolved. This was announced by the FIFA Direct Communication channel via Twitter. The next-generation pack should now be available to everyone in the shop.
How do you get the cards? Ideally, this should be a simple matter: The only requirement is that you need to be logged into FIFA 22 by January 14, 2022, to randomly receive one of the cards.
Today, on December 15, the distribution of the cards to players was supposed to start. And for a short time, it did – but right now, it has been disabled again.
You should receive one of these players
Players pull striker Mbappé – Next Generation is currently unavailable
This is the problem: Apparently, there has been an error with the Mbappé card: The Frenchman was supposed to be included as “LW”, that is, as a left winger in the next-generation pack. However, players drew the Frenchman as ST, which means striker, from the pack.
On Twitter, the “FIFA Direct Communication Channel” has already addressed the issue: “We have temporarily disabled the distribution of the Next Generation Player Item Pack while we work to fix a problem,” it states from the official side (via Twitter).
They are now working to equip the “Next Generation Player Item Pack” with the correct version before the pack is made accessible to everyone again. However, how long this will take is still unclear – we will keep you updated on this matter.
What will happen to Mbappé? Players who drew the wrong Mbappé are supposed to receive the correct LW variant as soon as it is determined which players are affected. However, this may take a little time, according to FIFA Direct Communication.
Today, on December 16, the new patch 1.2 for New World will be released. The major December update introduces the winter event and significant changes to the endgame. We from MeinMMO summarize the highlights of the patch notes for you and reveal how long the maintenance will take.
What are the highlights of the update? The biggest new feature in the December patch is the overhaul of the watermark system. This means that proficiency and value will now be displayed directly in your inventory next to your armor. In addition, the so-called Gypsum system is introduced, through which you can easily and specifically increase your proficiency.
Crafting now rewards items beyond level 200 in a Life Skill.
Expedition rewards have been improved. There, you get not only Gypsum but also a guaranteed proficiency boost for completing Lazarus Instrumentum and Garden of Genesis, as well as the new resource Timeless Shards, which allows for more targeted crafting of equipment.
Some areas in the endgame have been revamped in terms of difficulty. The enemies in Myrkgard, which were secretly strengthened with patch 1.1, will now be slightly weakened, while other points of interest have been raised to level 66.
16 new quests have been released in the Mourningdale and 13 new tasks in the Unstable Coast.
The damage formula in PvP is being revised, so that now the actual armor value is calculated instead of an average when a character with a lower level fights against a strong enemy. In compensation, the damage from players with lower levels is increased.
Fast travel points will now also be displayed even if you have not discovered them yet.
Some weapons have seen a reduction in “Recovery Time”, which is the time after an action has been performed before the next can activate. The heavy attack from the sword, for example, now has 5 frames less recovery time.
In Outpost Rush, the opposing faction can no longer enter the base.
The hit points of the Source Guardian, a boss in the story, have been halved.
What about the winter event? The winter event will start immediately with the patch’s release. Originally, the event was announced for December 14.
It will run from December 16, 2021, to January 11, 2022.
You can find detailed information about the contents, quests, and rewards in our guide:
What about the release and server downtime? The new patch 1.2 will be applied today, December 16, at 1:00 PM. This will result in extended maintenance.
The server maintenance is expected to take 3 hours. By 4:00 PM, the server downtime should be over as scheduled.
New World Update 1.2 – The official patch notes
As usual, we have embedded the patch notes from the official New World website. The PTR notes, which were appended at the very end, are currently only available in English (via New World).
Winter Convergence
It is the time of the festive Winter Convergence in Aeternum! It is marked by increased snowfall and northern lights in the sky. It’s a time of duality and contrast, as winter wanderers and winter warriors come to the land. The icy winds and the winter wanderers bring new armor, weapons, furniture, skins, and consumables, as well as a charming “Gift Giving” emote.
The Winter Convergence lasts in Aeternum from December 16, 2021, to January 11, 2022.
The winter warrior’s desire for eternal winter causes ice caves to appear throughout Aeternum. If the winter warrior is not stopped, he will turn all of Aeternum into a vast ice desert. These caves will remain as scars in the land after the event – sources of winter magic that will not melt even if the warrior is defeated.
Endgame Innovations
Based on feedback about the High-Watermark system and the desire to make endgame content exciting and diverse, this update implements some major changes to the endgame. More about our vision and future changes can be found in the developer article about proficiency in our official forums.
“High Watermark” will be renamed to “Proficiency” and its values will now be displayed in the user interface.
For each slot on the character model in the inventory, its current proficiency level will now be displayed.
Above the average armor value, the average proficiency value will also be shown in the inventory.
Players will see a proficiency leveling banner whenever they increase their proficiency.
The new resource Gypsum will be introduced, which can be acquired through a variety of activities (named bosses in the open world, expedition bosses, Outpost Rush, arenas, corruption breaches, etc.). Each activity yields a different type of Gypsum, which can then be crafted into Gypsum Orbs of every weapon, armor, or jewelry type. Opening a Gypsum Orb guarantees a proficiency boost and equipment of that type.
Obsidian Gypsum: Obtained for defeating named enemies at level 60+ in the open world; generally found in elite landmarks.
Sapphire Gypsum: Obtained for defeating final bosses in Lazarus Instrumentum and Garden of Genesis.
Rubin Gypsum: Obtained in secret caches in Outpost Rush.
Emerald Gypsum: Obtained in proficiency reward chests.
Citrine Gypsum: Obtained in secret arena caches.
Amethyst Gypsum: Obtained in secret caches in breaches.
Topaz Gypsum: Obtained from hostile creatures at level 55+, but only after consuming a special attunement potion that can be crafted in a Rank 5 campsite. Craft the potion, drink it, and defeat hostile creatures at level 55+ in the world to receive Topaz Gypsum. This potion can only be crafted once a week!
Diamond Gypsum: Only available during major events in Aeternum. During the Winter Convergence, players at level 60 can receive the rare Diamond Gypsum from the first three Trees of Light they interact with during the event.
We have introduced forges in all endgame zones where players can craft Gypsum Orbs from the different types of Gypsum.
We have decreased the overall chance for a proficiency boost as a compensation for the new guaranteed boosts through Gypsum. The chance for elite chests has been slightly lowered and that for bosses in the open world significantly. No changes have been made to expedition bosses.
We have adjusted the potential range of proficiency increases based on proficiency level. Overall, the ranges in the higher progression area are slightly wider, meaning that in total fewer “boost moments” are needed to reach the maximum value (i.e., on average, most should need fewer boosts for that).
Rewards for expeditions have increased
In addition to Gypsum, expedition bosses also guarantee a random proficiency boost (arena bosses also guarantee a boost).
All chests in Lazarus Instrumentum and Garden of Genesis have been revamped to provide a certain chance of proficiency boosts for the endgame.
We have added Timeless Shards to expeditions (see details below).
We have introduced Timeless Shards, a new crafting resource that can guarantee certain values for weapons and armor.
Timeless Shards are crafting artifacts that allow players to craft an item with a specific attribute bonus, while still allowing them to use crafting mods to guarantee an effect.
Timeless Shards are guaranteed from expedition bosses and also have a certain chance of dropping from elite chests in expeditions and elite points of interest.
2 points of interest are becoming endgame content
The elite point of interest “Cunning” in Edenhain has been made level 66 content and now has 6 elite chests that can all provide proficiency boosts in the endgame.
The elite points of interest “Imperial Palace” and “Northern Dynasty Shrine” in Evenbane have been made level 66 content and now have 8 elite chests that can all provide proficiency boosts in the endgame.
We have increased the level of corruption breaches in the endgame to 66.
We have made a series of adjustments to the difficulty in the endgame to compensate for some exaggerated changes in the November patch. Our goal is to find the golden mean between the too easy endgame content before November and the exaggerated GES sponges afterward.
Adjustments in Duskenheim: We have lowered the difficulty of corrupted acolytes, cooks, priests, ogres, and commanders.
We have added an elite chest in Ueegge in Duskenheim, near the named commander “Archos-Imperator”.
Adjustments in Evenbane: We have lowered the difficulty of a number of named AI enemies in the open world, including alligators, wild boars, bears, and lazy ruffians.
Adjustments in the Imperial Palace / Northern Palace Shrine: We have lowered the difficulty of named bears, corrupted tigers, and dynasty spearmen, dynasty conjurers, and dynasty warriors.
We have relocated Daisy the Dancing Bear to a new location.
We have renamed Morgolf and relocated it to a new spot.
The point of interest “Forbidden Ritual” has been removed from the game and replaced with a fast travel option.
Several elite chests have been moved to the final boss fights in the Imperial Palace and Northern Palace Shrine.
Difficulty adjustment at Scorpion: We have lowered the difficulty of elite ranks and hell holes and of the named corrupted grobians.
Ambusti Superior / Inferior: We have replaced 2 large supply chests with elite chests.
In both points of interest, there are now additional corrupted musketeers.
Tomb of the Dead: We have lowered the difficulty of the named ghosts.
Lightwood Island: We have lowered the difficulty of the 2 named ghosts.
Periheim: We have lowered the difficulty of the named alligator, ghost, and undead hunter.
Distorted Heights: We have lowered the difficulty of the corrupted deer and corrupted acolytes.
Eridanus: We have lowered the difficulty of the dryad shamans.
Caminus: We have moved an existing elite chest to the boss fight with the Caminus Gatekeeper.
Svikin Camp: We have lowered the difficulty of the two named acolytes and the named worker.
Eternal Pond: We have lowered the difficulty of the dryad shamans.
There is also a new platform, stairs, and walls to allow Viridulon the Rooted to reach players outside of the combat area.
Game World
Quests
Improvements to the main storyline quests:
“Dug-up Fate” can now also be completed solo.
The level design in “Always Follow Your Nose” has been improved, and there are new tasks related to acquiring the “Ingredients” for the bear repellent.

There are additional tasks in areas:
16 new tasks in Mourningdale.
13 new tasks in the Unstable Coast.
New “Housing Tasks”
7 new tasks that unlock when players level up in the area call. They can assist an idealistic architect who aims to build new houses in the wilderness of Aeternum. The architect will sing the praises of home ownership and reward players with new furniture and decorations.
To start these tasks, visit Giacomo Altovoli in the settlement in First Light, Everfall, Monarch’s Bluffs, or Windcircle (completion of “Creeping Corruption” is required).
Key Bug Fixes
There is now more information about player kills in PvP faction missions not being reset upon death.

Combat and AI
Combat
A bug in our original formula for PvP damage led to lower equipment being more effective at damage defense. Therefore, we have revised the formula. We look forward to your feedback on these changes.
Revised formula for PvP damage
When calculating damage defense through armor, the opponent’s armor value is now used instead of your average armor value.
As compensation for the difference in defense through armor, we have increased the damage that players with lower levels deal to those with higher levels and decreased damage players with higher levels deal to those with lower levels.
Critical damage bonuses
Critical damage bonuses through mastery or effects now apply additively, rather than multiplicatively. On average, this reduces the damage bonus received by 3 to 5 %.
Buffer
We have looked at all weapons and adjusted the buffer for dodging, skills, and basic attacks. The revised buffer begins at the first frame of the attack that will deal damage or with the first casting frame of skills that do not deal damage.
Dodging
A bug has been fixed that allowed players to repeatedly dodge while exhausted if no directional keys were pressed.
Skills that previously only prevented dodging (such as Ice Rain) now also prevent jumping.
Control
Crouching and lying down can no longer be activated while the block button is pressed.
A bug has been fixed that created a short pause in movement while using auto-run and auto-crossing.

A bug has been fixed that caused no further damage to be dealt while standing on the Ripper.
Economy, Progress, and Loot
Proficiency
We continue to want to reward efforts in crafting items for you, your friends, or trading in the trading post. Therefore, we have introduced proficiency.
When you reach level 200 in a skill, 3 markers will be displayed at equal intervals in the leveling circle in the user interface.
When you earn XP for skills, you progress in this circle and when you reach one of the markers, you get a container with useful items that are (mainly) relevant to skills, such as crafting mods, special ingredients, and even blueprints and other plans!
With each marker, the containers become more spectacular and bring more rewards.
If you collect enough XP to fill the whole circle, the boon counter will increase by 1. The counter indicates how many times you have leveled up at the highest level.
With this system, we have also introduced a new type of reward: Equipment Schematics.
Equipment Schematics are crafting artifacts that allow you to guarantee an item with an armor value of 600 and special appearance.
Schematics require a large amount of powerful crafting materials, but guarantee an item with RW 600.
Effects are also rolled for schematics, and players can influence the outcome as usual with crafting mods and Azoth.
There is a small chance that equipment schematics will appear in Arcana, Weaponsmithing, Armorsmithing, and Engineering reward chests.
Refinement
Plans have been added that allow you to refine 250 pieces of raw ore, wood, fiber, or raw leather with rank 5 into a legendary material. For example, now you can convert 250 orichalcum ore into 1 tollyum.
Orichalcum bars can now be crafted with platinum as well as with star metal.
Loot
There are a number of knights in the game who carry valuable items for players level 20 to 25. Seek them out and take their treasures!
The named ring “Cut” previously had the wrong gem attached (a weapon gem) and now correctly has an armor gem.
We have added amulet, ring, and earring drops with rank 5 to all level 60+ content, which randomly roll all attributes and armor values. Before, only named jewelry dropped at this rank. This should accelerate the jewelry proficiency as well.
Faction shields no longer have a damage effect (Enchanted). Round shields now have “Refreshing Protection,” longspear shields have “Eager Empowerment,” and tower shields have “Hated.”
Corruption Gauntlets “Moonless Night” have been renamed to “Dark Wine Night.”
The Primordial Weapon Set was missing the tower shield and the ice gauntlets. These have now been added and drop in the same activities as other primordial weapons.
Boots of Channeling Energy had the wrong effect (Siphoning). This effect is only available on weapons and has been replaced with the Affliction effect.
The named AI enemy “Desecrated Soul of Duskenheim” previously had no drops. He now drops 3 named items: a spear, a life staff, and an amulet.
More female armor now drops in the game world.
Crafting
We have removed corrupted shards and magnetite as required resources for crafting arena keys and added 5 runestones to their recipe. We did this so that arena keys do not compete for the same resources as expedition keys.
Fishing
The stone catfish now produces stone catfish venom, which can be used in alchemy (there is also a chance of fish fat when disassembling).
A range of fishing armor items can now be bought and sold in the trading post. These are items that players may not receive as rewards in fishing quests since reward chests sometimes randomly deliver one of two or three parts. With this update, all players will have access to all armor pieces to complete all sets, should they wish to do so.
Key Bug Fixes
The brand and taler cost of the R2 health and mana potions of the Syndicate have now been aligned with those of the other factions: 50 and 30 marks instead of 100.
The war previously did not provide war corruption gauntlets. Corruption gauntlets have now been added as a possible reward.
A bug has been fixed that caused corruption gauntlets not to naturally roll their skill-specific bonuses when dropped and crafted.
A bug has been fixed that caused chests in Lazarus Instrumentum and Garden of Genesis not to consider the armor value of the expedition.
A bug has been fixed where in Outpost Rush, the overview at the end of the game showed 0 for all assists.
A bug has been fixed that caused the Outpost Rush compass symbols to disappear. This should also fix some other issues related to the compass.
A bug has been fixed that caused the acquisition tax in the trading post to go to the settlement where an item was offered for sale instead of to the settlement where it was purchased.
A bug has been fixed where the crafting of the corruption gauntlets “The Nothing” required Eternal Ice instead of an Empty Heart.
A bug has been fixed where tallow forms could not be used as crafting mods. (The effects in question are: “Precision,” “Deadly Refreshment,” and “Refreshing Drink Fun”).
UX/UI and Social
Loading Screen System Overhauled
The system has been overhauled and now loads different screens depending on where players are loaded into.
Tips have been added to the loading screens, both general tips and specific tips for your destination.
Social and Navigation Bar Overhauled
We have revamped the graphics and layout of the menu to improve readability.
We have made the notification numbers more visible.
We have created additional space for the “Social” window and made it more readable.
Key Bug Fixes
We have improved the logic of the warnings regarding the Azoth limit so that they are only displayed at certain thresholds and you are not overwhelmed with notifications.
A number of bugs in the compass have been fixed that should make it more reliable when changing game modes.
The icons for crafting in city projects have been corrected. They now show the blue icon for city projects instead of the yellow standard icon for tasks.
The message that you cannot deal damage to other players without a PvP marker will now only display once. These messages have been annoying in PvE play with other faction members.
We have added sounds to a number of actions in the user interface as a sign that the action was successful. This includes repairing equipment, opening housing submenus, changing submenus in the company area, expanding and collapsing lists at crafting stations, “From” filter boxes and switching chat feeds.
A bug has been fixed that caused pings in some expeditions to be displayed underground.
Various crafting and refining stations have now gained ambient sound.
Setups with multiple monitors are now better supported.
A rare bug has been fixed that caused the game to mistakenly disassemble a random item of the type under your cursor while quickly disassembling.
A bug has been fixed that caused players sometimes not to receive notification banners for friendship, group, and company invitations.
Players now have more description options when reporting insults in chat. Players can now choose between text chat or voice chat insults.
PTR Notes
The following notes were added or changed as a direct result of internal testing efforts and players submitting feedback in the PTR. Thanks to all those who participated!
Winter Convergence
Each day, the first three interactions with the Tree of Light in settlements will grant presents that will also grant a lockbox with a gift of appreciation for participating in the festivities!
Daily interactions with the Tree of Light have the rare chance to drop event weapon and armor patterns as rewards.
As with any openable container, luck does not apply here.
December Endgame Update
Introduced a new type of Gypsum. Diamond Gypsum can only be found during certain events in Aeternum. During the Winter Convergence Festival, level 60 players will earn this Gypsum when interacting with their first 3 Trees of Light each day.
Our goal is to give players even more options to progress their Expertise, as well as improve the rewards of the Winter and future events
Reduced the cost of crafting a Gypsum Orb from 100 coin to 2.5, and Gypsum Cast from 475 coin to 5. We decided there was no need to add another coin expense for our level 60 players, but kept a minimal amount so end game territory owners can earn a little more tax income.
Reduced cooldown on Topaz Gypsum Attunement Potion from weekly down to daily, which means players will now be able to earn enough Topaz Gypsum to craft an orb each day. We also reduced the crafting ingredients to make it less difficult to craft and increased the drop rate of Topaz Gypsum when the potion is in effect.
Reduced Gypsum earn cooldown timers from 22hrs to 18hrs just to give a little more leeway to people’s play schedules.
Adjusted the way Expertise bumps work so there is a minimum, as well as a maximum. The minimum is set to 2, and maximum starts at 5 and ramps down to 2. Our goal is to average around 35 bumps required to get from min to max Expertise.
Gypsum is now rewarded for completing an event, rather than given in the reward cache from the event. A few activities such as Outpost Rush, Corrupted Breaches, Arenas, and Aptitude granted Gypsum in the reward cache in the PTR. This leads to hoarding and uncertainty if using a cache is past the cooldown timer. This change should resolve both of those concerns.

Since December 15, the new free update of GTA Online is available. To unlock the new content of the “The Contract” update, you need to purchase an agency. MeinMMO shows you which ones are available and which is the best choice.
What do agencies bring? This is a new form of ownership in GTA Online. A total of four agencies were added with the update.
There you can build an armory and a workshop for your cars with enough cash. However, these agencies are not cheap: You won’t get any of the properties for under 2 million.
To start the story, you first need to buy one of the newly available agencies. We will show you which one is the best. Before that, you can watch a trailer here:
New agency for entering the business – and the new story
How to buy an agency? Open the browser in-game and go to Dynasty8 Executive. There you will find the list with prices and upgrades.
Which one should you choose? The cheapest option is located in Little Seoul.
At 2,010,000 GTA dollars, it is cheaper than the others.
You can save between 135,000 and 820,000 dollars compared to the other agencies.
You can invest that in other things, like decoration or an armory or car workshop.
In addition, it is centrally located in Los Santos, which can shorten travel times:
Here you can see the agency in Little Seoul.
If money is not an issue for you, it probably doesn’t matter much which of the four agencies you take. Nevertheless, a central location is likely to be advantageous. All of them certainly offer sufficient space.
What kind of update was released with the agencies? In The Contract, everything revolves around music, even rapper and producer Dr. Dre returns. Franklin and Lamar, whom you know from the story, also play important roles.
What else is in the update? In addition to the story surrounding Franklin and Dr. Dre’s stolen songs, there are also new weapons and vehicles.
In total, there are 7 vehicles with their own tuning options. If you also have an armory in your apartment, you even get a discount on the new weapons that are now available for purchase:
Blizzard has announced the new Patch 2.4 for Diablo 2 Resurrected. This is intended to make some balance adjustments and also bring the long-awaited ladders. New rune words have also been announced.
What exactly is in the new update?
4 different ladders, as were present in Diablo 2
New rune words
New recipes for the Horadric Cube, which can increase the quality of set items
A revision of the mercenaries to provide more incentives to use different characters
Balance adjustments to the various classes
When will the patch be released? The new update 2.4 is expected to be released in early 2022.
Before that, there will be a livestream on December 16 at 8:00 PM, in which the developers want to present the update in more detail. According to the developers, the blog post will only scratch the surface of the patch.
4 ladders with brand new rune words
What do the ladders look like? With the update, 4 ladders are to be introduced:
Standard ladder – For the normal version of the 4 acts
Hardcore ladder – For the hardcore version of the 4 acts
Standard ladder expansion – For the normal version with the 4 acts + the expansion
Hardcore ladder expansion – For the hardcore version of the 4 acts + the expansion
Together with the ladders, a lot of new rune words will also be unlocked, which have never existed in the game before. At the end of a season, the characters will be shifted to the normal version of the game, so you can use the rune words outside of the ladder as well.
What do the rune words look like? The developers cannot reveal that yet. However, there will be a first glimpse of the rune words in the stream.
More about Diablo and hack’n’slash games on MeinMMO:
What changes for the classes? The developers have given only rough insights on this point as well, however, each class will receive a boost to rarely used abilities:
Certain melee skills of the Amazon, including Impale and Counter, are to be strengthened. Additionally, the requirement for synergies of melee attacks should be slightly relaxed, so that more skill points are available for other combinations.
The Assassin will receive a buff to martial arts skills that have been rarely used.
The Barbarian will also receive buffs for skills that have been used less frequently. Additionally, the throwing barbarian will be strengthened.
For the Druid, fire skills and summoning skills will be strengthened. A buff for werebear skills has also been announced.
For the Necromancer, rarely used summoning skills are to be strengthened. Also, rarely summoned golems should become “more efficient”.
What do you think about the announced update? Do the ladders and new rune words appeal to you? Or have you already moved on to another game from Diablo 2 Resurrected?
At the beginning of December, the latest update 2.3 was released. What was included, we reveal to you here:
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis was released on Steam, PC, and Xbox in June 2021. However, there was criticism at launch for the lack of mid and endgame content. This is exactly what the first major update addresses, which was released on December 15.
What kind of game is it? New Genesis is essentially an extension of Phantasy Star Online 2. You play as an independent character exploring a brand new world within the same universe. This world, however, resembles an MMORPG more than the original game did.
Both games run through the same launcher, and you can even transfer your character back and forth, with only the appearance remaining, but not the attributes or equipment.
At launch, New Genesis reached nearly 60,000 concurrent players on Steam at its peak. Although players praised the classes and modes of movement in the game – you can even fly and jump very far and high – the numbers dropped significantly just one month after release.
The main reasons cited were the lack of content. After about 30 hours, players should have seen the majority of the game’s content.
What has happened now? Today, on December 15, the first major patch has been deployed, which includes several significant new features, including a completely new area. An overview of the update can be found in this video:

The update also includes:
A new story chapter
An increase in the level cap from 20 to 35
New skills for each class
New events and login rewards
For those who haven’t tried Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis yet, now is a great time to check out the MMORPG.
What does PSO2 cost? Nothing, as both the old version and New Genesis are Free2Play. You can choose to install them through Steam, Epic Games, or the Microsoft Store on PC or play on Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S.

The Free2Play MMO Warframe has released a new, free update with The New War. There is now a new trailer. MeinMMO summarizes for you what is included in the new DLC.
What kind of DLC is this? “The New War” was released today, on December 15, and it aims to conclude the most important storylines of Warframe up to now. The expansion marks the first major story progression after nearly 4 years.
Why The New War seems like a kickoff to a Warframe 2.0 has been thoroughly summarized by MeinMMO author Marko Jevtic based on his first impressions:
The New War brings a new story chapter and new Warframe
What is included in the new Warframe DLC? In The New War, you will find a new story chapter. Unlike previous updates, the new story content can only be played solo. In this, you will control both your Tenno and other characters from the story.
The developers place a lot of emphasis on the story in this DLC and portray it from the perspectives of multiple characters. It concludes many of the ongoing plotlines and is supposed to leave “scars in the world of Warframe”, as Community Manager Rebecca Ford puts it.
How much playtime does the story offer? The New War itself is supposed to take about 5 hours. New players will need about 30 hours of playtime to get to The New War, as you must complete all chapters of the main storyline beforehand.
In addition to the free story chapter, a new Warframe named Caliban joins the game.
What kind of Warframe is this? It is a Sentient Warframe, a mix of Sentient and Tenno, with special abilities. The Caliban collection includes the following items:
Caliban Warframe
Venato Sense, created from a part of a fallen Eidolon
Neurovyre Syandana
Sporavyre Sugatra
You will receive the Warframe as part of one of the supporter packs available for purchase. Depending on the package, you will also receive some additional bonuses along with the Warframe:
When will the expansion be released? “The New War” has already been released on Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, and Nintendo Switch.
What do you think about the expansion? Do you like the new story approach? In which direction could Warframe go now?

The Icon Swaps were a popular way for players to access strong rewards in the past. What do they bring in FIFA 22?
When do the Icon Swaps come to FIFA 22? The Icon Swaps started on Wednesday, December 15 at 7:00 PM.
The Icon Swaps in FIFA 22 start on December 15 at 7:00 PM
With this, you can now start the Swaps. How exactly they will unfold this year, we will show you here.
What are Icon Swaps? “Icon Swaps” are a way to secure icons without the use of coins or exchanging teams in SBCs.
They consist of a series of tasks that must be completed. For completing these challenges, you receive tokens that can be exchanged for rewards.
Last year, the Swaps caused an interesting phenomenon among players, which became known as the “Golden Goal Mode” and effectively consisted of players helping each other with the challenge objectives.
In FIFA 21, there were not only pure icon rewards, but also various packs. Among other things, the Icon Swaps offered two Ultimate Packs for 2 tokens or a Mid/Base Icon Pack for 10 tokens. But there were also direct icon rewards like Rijkaard for 14 tokens or Henry for 17 tokens.
Important: There are never enough tokens to receive all rewards. Therefore, you have to weigh which ones you want to secure.
These rewards are offered by Icon Swaps 1 in FIFA 22
What you can get: In total, there will be 18 tokens for the first round of Icon Swaps. However, you cannot earn them all at once.
You can earn the first 9 tokens between December 15 and January 10
The second 9 tokens will be available between January 10 and February 7
The following opportunities are available as rewards:
2 tokens: 81+ x25 Pack
3 tokens: 82+ x25 Pack
5 tokens: 83+ x25 Pack
6 tokens: Mid Icon Iker Casillas
7 tokens: Mid Icon Rio Ferdinand
8 tokens: Base/Mid Icon Pack
9 tokens: Prime Icon Marc Overmars
10 tokens: Mid Icon Pack
11 tokens: Mid Icon Marcel Desailly
12 tokens: Base Icon Del Piero
13 tokens: 89+ Mid Icon Pack
14 tokens: Base/Mid Icon Player Pick (from 2 icons)
14 tokens: Prime Icon Gianluca Zambrotta
16 tokens: Mid/Prime Icon Pack
17 tokens: Base/Mid/Prime Icon Player Pick (from 2 players)

When thinking of professional players in League of Legends, players from Korea or China likely come to mind first. However, when it comes to Western players, Germany is one of the strongest nations, having sent 12 players to World Championships. We reveal how German players are performing in LoL and which ones you should definitely know.
How does Germany stand in the international comparison? Generally, eSports in LoL is dominated by teams from China and Korea. Since Season 1, no team from the West has won the World Championship. Accordingly, players from these regions are well-known.
However, over 30 LoL professionals have also come from Germany, who have made it to either the highest American or European leagues. This makes us the European country with the most LoL professionals overall, as the Twitter user ExpressLoL vividly shows:
In the LEC, 30 different German professionals have played so far, earning us the 2nd place in the LEC ranking. Only Korea has had more players (40).
In the LCS, at least 7 German professionals have played (6th place among all nations in the LCS), with many overlaps, such as Abbedagge or PowerOfEvil, who both played in Europe and America. Most EU players in the LCS come from Denmark, with 12 active players here (via Twitter).

A total of 14 players from Germany have already participated in a World Championship in LoL, and two have even won: Manuel “LaMiaZeaLoT” Mildenberger and Peter “Mellisan” Meisrimel. Both competed for Team Fnatic in the first season but also retired from their professional careers in 2012 and 2013, respectively.
This puts Germany in a good position regarding participation in the Worlds. Only the countries China, Korea, USA, Canada, and Taiwan have sent more different players to the World Championships. Denmark, by the way, also has 14 different players, just like Germany.
In this article, we would like to introduce you to 5 players you should definitely know about, as they belong to the most successful players in the scene. Some of them are still active, while others have left their prime years behind.
If you want to learn more about the mentioned World Champions from Germany, you can find the appropriate article here:

He began his career as a support player in 2011 with Team GAMED.DE.
For which teams did he play? At the end of 2011, Nyph transferred from GAMED to SK Gaming. He spent 2.5 successful years there. In 2013, he moved to Alliance, which later renamed itself to Elements, and remained loyal to the team until May 2016. However, he briefly took on the coach role in 2015 before returning to his support position.
For a year, from 2016 to 2017, he served as a coach at Schalke 04. What Nyph has done since then is not known, but he seems to still be involved with the eSports team Alliance, although not anymore in the LoL department.
How successful was he? Nyph participated in the World Championships in LoL three times:
In 2011, he achieved 6th place with Team GAMED.DE at the first World Championship.
With SK Gaming, he finished only in 11th/12th place in 2012.
In 2014, he once again qualified for the Worlds with Team Alliance, where they shared places 9 to 11 with SK Gaming.
However, he could not win any major title either internationally or nationally.

For the upcoming season, he is contracted with Team G2 Esports.
How successful was he? While his first season in 2019 at TSM was rather disappointing, Broken Blade won the Summer Playoffs of the LCS in 2020. This secured TSM a spot at the Worlds, where they, however, exited disappointingly with 0 wins and 6 losses in the group stage.

How successful was he? Amazing reached the Worlds twice:
In 2014, he made it to the round of 16 with the American team SoloMid.
In 2015, he even reached 3rd/4th place with the European team Origen.
His biggest successes outside of the Worlds were winning with Origen at the Intel Extreme Masters 10 in San Jose and the MVP title in the 4th week of the Summer Split in the LCS. However, he did not secure a significant national title in the LEC or LCS.
Upset

After that, Upset played a season with Origen and transferred to Fnatic at the end of 2020, where he is still active.
How successful was he? In 2020, Fnatic secured second place in the Summer Playoffs 2021, and Upset had a significant part in that. This success also led to their participation in the Worlds.
Who is this? Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage was born in 1997 in Bad Soden, Germany, and played games like Warcraft 3 and Age of Empires 2 in his childhood.
In League of Legends, he is among the strongest mid-laners in the world.

In 2021, he achieved first place in the group stage in the Summer Split with TSM. However, in the final championship to qualify for the Worlds, he only managed to place 4th.

The YouTuber HandOfBlood has now founded a new eSports team. With Eintracht Spandau, he wants to create a team for the Prime League that aims to develop a fan culture similar to that of football clubs:
Fractured is a new sandbox MMORPG that successfully funded through Kickstarter. It has now gained a publisher and plans to launch its beta in early 2022. MeinMMO was able to speak with Jacopo Pietro Gallelli, the CEO of Dynamight Studios, about the current state of the game and the general hurdles of the sandbox genre.
What kind of game is Fractured? Fractured is a sandbox game that fundamentally resembles Ultima Online. You experience the MMORPG in an isometric perspective and are supposed to be able to play however you want. Fractured relies on a very special concept.
There are 3 playable races that correspond to your player types:
Those who play as Beastmen live on a planet with only PvE content.
Those who choose to play as humans get a planet with limited PvP and a karma system for griefers.
Those who play as demons enter a world focused entirely on PvP. Here, constant action and full loot are the focus.
Each planet has its own biomes, assets, and a tailored geography. While it will be possible to switch between worlds, this will be subject to strong limitations.
Fractured also does away with fixed classes and instead offers you a talent tree. There, you can distribute the earned points according to your preferences and suit your play style. The MMORPG also aims to reduce the grind aspect by constantly inviting you to explore and kill new monsters through a knowledge system to level your abilities instead of experiencing the same activities repeatedly.
In the endgame, the focus is on cities that can be controlled by various guilds and conquered in PvP. There are said to be 30 large and over 90 small cities for players to fight over.
A first look at the gameplay and content of Fractured is provided by this video from YouTuber Idodmg:

What state is Fractured in currently? Currently, the sandbox MMORPG is in an alpha state and can be tested at specific times. A guaranteed access is available through founder packages, while Fractured itself will be a buy-to-play game. However, all registered players can participate in some tests.
According to Jacopo Pietro Gallelli, the CEO of developer Dynamight Studios, the first beta is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022. The beta is also aimed at buyers of the founder package.
The German company Gamigo will assist the developers in the implementation and upcoming release, which officially announced on December 15 its take on publishing the MMORPG.
As part of this announcement, we were able to conduct an interview with Gallelli. We asked him about the typical issues of sandbox games, the PvE and PvP content, as well as the influence of Gamigo.
A new tutorial and quests to prevent new players from being lost
MeinMMO: Sandbox MMORPGs are viewed critically by some players. There is too much to do, but they don’t know where to start or what to actually do. Many lose motivation before they have properly played the content. What do you plan to do to prevent players from losing their orientation?
Gallelli: That’s a very good question, because many new players who are used to sandbox MMOs and are now coming to Fractured have exactly this problem. We had already implemented a tutorial that was helpful in this regard. But it’s not enough to just teach how progression works in a sandbox MMO. Many still get lost.
We are currently overhauling the tutorial, which is actually supposed to be completed before the beta starts. This will take place on private islands and will become increasingly profound and fun.
We are also planning quests that will guide players beyond the tutorial and show what the main activities in the game are when you want to progress. Namely exploring new areas, defeating creatures to unlock new abilities, joining a city, and acquiring land, and so on.
It is important to provide such guidance that goes beyond the tutorial. Of course, it cannot go on forever, otherwise, we wouldn’t be a sandbox MMORPG, but I think the most important thing is that players really understand what the activities in the game are and what they should do after completing the tutorial.
This is what it looks like Ingame in Fractured after the latest graphical update.
Worlds completely without PvP or with full loot
MeinMMO: Many players are also critical of PvP. In your initial announcement, it was stated that there would also be a bit of PvP for the Beastmen. Can you elaborate on that and what PvP content is generally available?
Gallelli: The basic concept of Fractured is that there are 3 worlds. Each of these worlds has different rules when it comes to PvP. Players have the choice. They can play as the evil demons, where there are basically no rules at all. There, full-loot PvP is everywhere.
On the opposite side are the Beastmen, the good ones. They cannot attack other players, except in agreed duels. This is the ideal choice for players who enjoy sandbox and RPGs but want nothing to do with PvP. In other sandbox games, it is often the case that you spend the first hours in PvE but then have to play PvP in the endgame. However, in the world of the Beastmen, you can experience the entire character development without being involved in non-consensual PvP.
Then there is the middle ground, the human planet. There, there is a possibility to become criminal, but also a punishing system if one decides to do so. You can be killed by a bounty hunter and end up in a prison. A physically real prison created by the players who own the city. And there you have to spend a certain number of hours or pay a lot of money to get out. However, in this world, there is theoretically a possibility of being killed by other players, but this happens rather rarely.
If you are a bad player in the human world, you can lose items, receive less loot, and sometimes end up in prison.
MeinMMO: And is there full loot in the human world as well?
Gallelli: We are currently discussing that. It was previously planned that there would also be full loot in the human world of Syndesia. In the last tests, we made some adjustments. We changed it from full loot to inventory loss. However, the loss of equipment should depend on how bad the reputation is. The worse the players were, the more equipment they would lose. However, we are still working on finding the right balance.
This planet is actually the hardest one since the other two are clear: no PvP and full loot PvP.
PvE endgame focuses on world bosses, events, and exploration
MeinMMO: What can PvE players expect? What do the gameplay loop and endgame look like?
Gallelli: For PvE players, I would say that world bosses are the biggest thing. They will be really challenging. You will encounter them in high-level areas. Eventually, we will also have more after the full release, as this is not a high priority right now.
But we will implement things like dungeons and more world bosses. At the moment, we still have no content like raids planned, which you normally find in theme park games, but our world is already quite challenging. There are also world events where various creatures suddenly appear that you have to defeat.
You can also search for and loot chests in the world. We will further expand the whole system. The game is called “Dynamic” for a reason. We are trying to change the world constantly so that there is always a reason to explore areas because you can find interesting events that weren’t there the day before.
Like in New World, there are points of interest on the maps that you can explore, where bosses and loot await you.
30v30 battles for cities are an important endgame content – Here’s how it works
MeinMMO: A significant part of the PvP is the battles for cities in the game world. Are they also present in the human world?
Gallelli: Absolutely, a major focus is on city vs. city and guild vs. guild combat. You can lay siege to a city and bring catapults while the defenders can build walls. As attackers, you then have to break into the city, capture banners, and control points. The whole system was inspired by games like Shadow Pain.
MeinMMO: A major problem in territorial battles is the balance between the guilds. In New World, for example, one faction often dominates, and in other games, I know of mass guilds that own many cities. What are you doing to keep the balance in your game?
Gallelli: When it comes to territorial control, I find managing cities already quite challenging. It is time-consuming, and you would need an impossible number of players to control many cities.
There are also strict requirements for citizens to level up a city. These restrictions are already embedded in the game’s mechanics. Furthermore, fighting in large groups is not particularly advantageous in Fractured. Because in PvP areas, there is friendly fire, at least with AoE abilities. So if you shoot a fireball and it leads to an explosion, you hurt your friends as much as your enemies.
The concept of how and in what ways cities can develop (via YouTube).
MeinMMO: So can I always accidentally hurt other players?
Gallelli: If you participate in PvP, whether you were attacked or you are the attacker, you have friendly fire. However, if you are a human not flagged for PvP and have not been attacked, you do not hurt other players with AoE.
You can already see this in initial videos about Fractured. You never really see a group of 20 players moving side by side. If too many players are clustered, they would kill each other with important skills. Players therefore tend to spread out, and I believe this is an important point in balancing player numbers.
MeinMMO: How exactly does a siege work? Do the guilds have time to respond to a declaration of war?
Gallelli: Yes, they do. When you declare a siege, you first need to pay with gold, the in-game currency. Then you have two or three days to prepare, though we still need to decide on the exact preparation phase. In the last test, it was two days during which the defenders could build a wall. However, it mainly depends on the attackers bringing the siege weapons into the area.
Once the preparation is over, the battle can begin. When the battle starts, only a limited number of participants can take part in the fight. Anyone who is not an attacker or defender will be kicked out of the city area. Currently, the battle size is 30 vs. 30, but we could also make that number larger.
Sieges are supposed to play an important role in Fractured.
During the battle, the attackers have one hour to capture the town hall of the city. To do this, the walls must be destroyed, which is only possible with catapults. Attacks from players or magic will not help. If the attackers succeed in capturing the town hall, they will win. If the hour runs out, the defenders win.
If the attackers take the city, all previous citizens are ejected, and the city will elect a new mayor.
In addition to the capture, there is also a raid system. If a guild starts a raid on a city, they only get resources and gold. If the city does not have enough, it will be downgraded. Explaining the whole system would take too much time now. However, we are constantly working on improving the battles and the way checkpoints work. A basic version of it was already playable in the last test.
Two planets are still missing, but there are new areas and over 300 hours of content
MeinMMO: We had an extensive interview with you back in the summer of 2020, and back then you introduced us to the basic game content and SpatialOS, the “wonder technology” used by you. What has changed in the 1.5 years since our last conversation?
Gallelli: A lot. Alongside the new publishing partnership, I would say that the development of the game has progressed well, even though we are still in the alpha phase. We have implemented most core functions aside from the other two planets and the two races.
The city system has been significantly expanded compared to 2020, with large PvP battles and sieges. We also made a graphical update with a post-processing shader in early 2021 that made the content prettier and improved performance.
We have greatly increased the number of skills and character progression. There is a new talent tree, and I believe we have tripled the number of skills. We have also introduced new world bosses, called legends, from which you can gain additional knowledge.
Additionally, we have revamped the type of the continent. The base of the continent is now procedurally generated, but the points of interest on the map are handmade. We have increased the number of these hand-made areas by fivefold or even tenfold.
Together with the engineers from Improbable, the developers of SpatialOS, we have implemented a more stable and powerful version.
These have been the most important changes. Overall, we have tried to bring Fractured to a point where there are about 300 to 400 hours of content available until you complete your character, learn all the skills, and upgrade your gear to the highest possible level.

Gamigo exerts no influence on monetization or shop content
MeinMMO: You have already mentioned the collaboration with the German company Gamigo. What is the reason for the collaboration and what do you hope to achieve from it?
Gallelli: We have always been open with our community about the fact that we were looking for a publisher. We always stated two reasons for this.
One is, of course, financing, to be able to expand our team. We have always been able to sustain ourselves through our revenue from the sales of the founders. That was fine, but it has never allowed us to expand our team to more than 7 or 8 employees.
The second reason is that we lacked the internal capabilities to conduct marketing. We have always been very weak when it came to decent PR and community management. It’s just crazy to manage a major MMORPG with 7 or 8 people. And we also didn’t have the financial means to implement marketing campaigns.
For these two reasons, we have always looked for a publisher who would support us before the release and who has strong experience in PR, marketing, and community management, like Gamigo, which has engaged very actively with MMOs.
Everything matched very well, especially because of the experience and sheer size that the publisher has. The history with us and Gamigo already goes back some time, as far back as 2017. It was the very first publisher that approached us to discuss a potential partnership. They have been following the development of the game, testing it themselves, and giving us feedback for 3 years before we finally signed a contract in the summer of 2021.
MeinMMO: And what changes now for players due to Gamigo? Will you continue to stay true to your payment model? And does the collaboration have impacts on the in-game shop?
Gallelli: The business model will not change. It is still planned to be a buy-to-play title with founder packages, just as it has been the case. And as far as the creative direction is concerned, we have full control over it. Of course, we discuss things like monetization with Gamigo, but they have never tried to impose things on us that we hadn’t already planned ourselves.
Fractured is a buy-to-play game with an item shop where cosmetic content is sold and a VIP subscription that offers discounts, both cosmetic and non-cosmetic content, some small time savings and convenience, but no additional power.
It is primarily aimed at players who have less time, and that has always been the plan and has always been stated, even back to the Kickstarter launch. However, we have not yet established complete content for the VIP subscription [editor’s note: According to the FAQ, it should provide an increased gain in knowledge points that are important for the talent tree, as well as further “vanity rewards”].
MeinMMO: You had stated in the last interview that it was dependent on the publisher whether you would launch on Steam or not. Is there any new information on that?
Gallelli: The current plan is not to wait until the beta to launch on Steam. After that, we will see. I think we will probably appear on Steam, but it will happen later. When we were on our own, our plan was to launch on Steam sometime during the beta, but now that we have the support of a publisher, we can delay the Steam launch to a time when the game is more complete.
A rendering of the human characters in Fractured.
The beta starts in Q1 2022, the full release could take place by the end of 2022
MeinMMO: Can you already tell us more accurate details about the start of the beta? Or even about the release?
Gallelli: I cannot reveal the exact start of the beta yet, but in the best case, it should start in Q1 2022. We have not set a specific date yet. But yes, Q1 it will likely be.
As for the full release, I would say it will probably be around the end of 2022. However, it is more difficult to give an estimate there. We still need at least 6 more months of data. This primarily relates to the introduction of the new planets. That is the biggest thing that requires a lot of work in terms of artistic design and world building.
Developers have analyzed the market, combating dull grind and PvP coercion
MeinMMO: The market for sandbox MMORPGs and MMORPGs in general is highly competitive. Why do you think Fractured will succeed there?
Gallelli: I believe Fractured has many unique features. When we started developing Fractured in early 2017, we carefully analyzed the sandbox game market to find the biggest pitfalls.
One of the biggest issues we identified was the amount of grind players had to go through in sandboxes. To level up things, you often had to repeat the same action over a very long period, often in the same area. It was so boring that players would often resort to a macro because it simply wasn’t fun.
Even Ultima Online, a game that I still admire today, falls into this trap with progression that is not enjoyable.
We developed a completely new form of progression with the knowledge system and the fact that you have to learn from knowledge. You cannot always learn from the same creature; you have to actively move around the world and learn from the abilities of creatures. The system is too large to explain completely, but it is meant to incentivize exploration and ensure it is pointless to stay in the same area for four days.
Moreover, the system is designed such that you can become competitive in a short amount of time. You can thus participate in high-level PvP and high-level challenges after a few days. Of course, you will not be as effective as an experienced player, but you can reach a usable level.
Another factor is, of course, PvP. We have already talked about how you can completely forgo it on one planet. This is an advantage of Fractured.
MeinMMO: Thank you very much for taking the time for the interview!
What do you think of Fractured? Does the concept of the sandbox MMORPG appeal to you, or does it rather put you off? What do you think is good and what bothers you about the ideas? Feel free to write it in the comments.
In June 2020, we at MeinMMO wrote a preview report for Fractured. You can read it here:
Arataki Itto has been in Genshin Impact since December 14, 2021. The strong 5-star Geo fighter deals heavy damage when he picks up his club. MeinMMO shows you how to best equip Itto.
The Geo hero is a classic “smash it” character that can be played quite easily with a bit of practice. You just need to make sure to execute his deadly slashes at the right time.
[toc]
How to properly use Itto’s skills: Itto’s goal is to use his “Arataki Kesagiri” slashes as often as possible. If you hit enemies with the 2nd and 4th hit of Itto’s standard attack combo, you collect 1 and 2 stacks of “super strong superpower” respectively. The 1st and 3rd hits do not have to hit opponents for the 2nd and 4th hits to accumulate stacks.
You need to gather 5 stacks to execute the complete “Arataki Kesagiri” slash combo. By holding down the mouse button, he performs this combo and strikes faster than usual. Additionally, Itto does not consume stamina while doing this.
A finisher follows that also deals considerable damage.
You can see on the image of Arataki Itto’s back how many stacks of “super strong superpower” he already has.
You can gain additional stacks of “super strong superpower” by using Itto’s elemental skill. The little bull “Ushi” that you summon draws the attention of enemies and grants Itto 1 stack each time:
He gets hit,
hits an enemy
or disappears from the field.
So it’s worth calling Ushi during standard attacks to reach 5 stacks faster.
Tip: The combo with his standard attacks is not interrupted by running or using the elemental skill.
Itto’s important abilities, talents, and constellations
Which abilities are relevant? In addition to his normal attacks and the heavy blows with the “Arataki Kesagiri” slashes, his special ability is another damage output that Itto does not want to do without.
During the special ability, each 1st and 3rd hit with his club grants 1 stack of “super strong superpower” respectively. When possible, you want to activate his special ability with 5 previously gathered stacks to deal massive damage immediately.
Which talents should you level up first? Prioritize his standard attacks and his special ability. Ushi comes last, but it’s worth leveling all talents to at least level 6 and higher.
Which constellations benefit Itto the most? Itto has excellent potential at 0 unlocked constellations (C0). However, his C1 can be practical: It grants you 2 stacks of “super strong superpower” directly when you use Itto’s special ability.
Additionally, you get 3 more stacks shortly afterwards, in no time. With C1, you don’t necessarily have to pay attention to bringing 5 stacks into the special ability, as you get them almost immediately anyway.
His C2 further boosts his special ability and reduces the cooldown. You also gain extra elemental energy, making it easier to recharge his special ability. The bonuses depend on the number of Geo characters in the team.
For those of you with enough original resin: C6 increases the critical damage of Itto’s heavy blows by 70% and he does not consume stacks of “super strong superpower” by 50%. An extremely strong buff, in addition to his already high damage.
Useful weapons for Arataki Itto
The weapons are sorted by strength and usefulness. We have also always assumed refinement level 1.
– Rothorn Crusher: The signature weapon is the best weapon for Itto. It grants massive critical damage and increases your defense by 28%. Additionally, standard attacks and heavy blows scale based on 40% of Itto’s defense.
–Available in the Battle Pass, Bone Sword: Increases critical hit rate (CHR) in addition to Itto’s own CHR value. Together, you already get a value of 51.8% CHR when the sword and Itto are level 90. Additionally, with a shielder, you can easily utilize the attack buff of the Bone Sword: If you stay on the field for 20 seconds and take no damage, your damage increases by 30%.
– Pride of the Skies: Gives Itto necessary recharge rate when you fail to achieve it with artifacts and deals additional valuable damage with its vacuum blades.
– As a Free2Play variant, craftable at the blacksmith, White Shadow: Can increase your defense and attack by a total of 24% when you hit with standard attacks and heavy blows.
– Available in the Paimon Shop, Blackstone Cutter: Primarily grants you additional critical damage.
– White Iron Greatsword: For beginners who are at the beginning of the game or those who don’t have a suitable other weapon.
These artifacts are worth it on Itto
Which artifact set is the best? The “Bowl of Bountiful Dreams” set is the best set for Itto.
2-piece set bonus: Increases defense (DEF) by 30%.
4-piece set bonus: If the character equipped with this set is active, they collect 6% DEF and Geo damage as a bonus every 0.3 seconds when dealing Geo damage. If the character is inactive, they receive the bonus every 3 seconds. The bonus can only be triggered 4 times in a row. This means the maximum potential is 24%. If the effect is no longer triggered, a bonus of 6% disappears every 6 seconds.
Flower of the “Bowl of Bountiful Dreams” set
Are there alternatives? An alternative could be the “Inverted Meteor” artifact set. If you have a character in the team that distributes shields, Itto could meaningfully utilize the 4-piece set bonus. This gives 40% more damage when attacking with standard attacks and heavy blows. That’s what Itto does primarily.
However, it does not outshine the “Bowl of Bountiful Dreams” set. Its bonuses are too valuable.
What stats do the artifacts need? Since Itto’s strength is primarily based on Geo damage and defense, it is worth investing in that direction. Attack is not completely useless for him to deal decent base damage, but it is much less important than in regular main DPS.

Arataki Itto as a team member
Which teams does Itto fit in? Itto fits particularly well in teams with additional Geo characters. Also, you need to make sure to provide him with a battery if you notice that your special ability is not charging quickly enough.
It’s important that he can use his special ability uninterrupted or gather stacks of “super strong superpower” while on the field. Zhongli or Diona can help him as a shielder.
Additionally, it’s not wrong to have a healer on the team. While Gorou can heal with C4, that may not be enough against strong enemies or the corrosion effect.
Diona provides a valuable addition as she grants shields and heals to the team.
Geo Team:
Arataki Itto, as main DPS.
Gorou, as supporter and sub-DPS – he buffs both defense and Geo damage once at least 3 Geo characters are in the team. Gorou himself counts towards that.
Albedo, as an additional sub-DPS, or Zhongli as a shielder and sub-DPS.
Mobility unit.
The “mobility unit” can be filled either with a 4th Geo team member or another character. Diona is a good fit as she can heal and provide shields to her allies. Equipped with the Favonius bow, she can generate additional useful elemental energy particles, assisting her teammates in recharging their special abilities more quickly.
More builds for characters from Genshin Impact on MeinMMO
Kazuha/Sucrose/Venti: To gather opponents and comfortably smash them with Itto. Itto even hits the enemies in Venti’s special attack. Sucrose can equip the book “The Deeds of the Dragon Slayers” to boost the damage when switching to Itto.
Jean: Also has crowd control and can heal her teammates.
Geo/Electro Traveler: Additional battery and sub-DPS.
Bennett: Provides healing and increases their damage. C6 Bennett can be counterproductive if you want to perform neutral attacks with Itto, as he converts them into Pyro attacks in his special attack field.
Barbara: Heals the team and can also equip the book “The Deeds of the Dragon Slayers” to boost Itto’s attacks.
Fischl or Xingqiu: Additional off-field damage.
Ningguang: Additional damage and buff potential for Geo damage through her abilities.
Arataki Itto is definitely THE new main DPS in Geo teams and can deal considerable damage. However, he needs support from other Geo characters to unleash his full potential. In elemental teams, the hero tends to be overshadowed.

The finale of the expansion World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is practically known. On the PTR, you can see how the machinery of death is being repaired.
In the latest version of the test realm of Patch 9.2, there are fresh hints about the state of the Shadowlands – and how the problems will be solved. Someone has to replace the Arbiter so that the machinery of death works again. Who that is – and also why – has now been revealed.
Spoiler alert: This article deals with content from Patch 9.2 that is currently only playable on the test realm. If you don’t want to be spoiled, stop reading here.
The red projectile had deactivated the Arbiter.
What’s it about? On the PTR of Patch 9.2, further chapters of the campaign are playable. These deal with the development of the Shadowlands. After all, the fundamental system of the afterlives is still disrupted. Without the Arbiter, souls flow endlessly into the Maw.
For the Shadowlands to function as usual again, a new Arbiter is needed – and this role will be assigned over the course of the campaign.
New Arbiter is an old acquaintance: The role of the Arbiter will henceforth be taken by Pelagos. He is a character that players already know from Bastion. He is one of the Kyrians and is still striving for his ascension – in contrast to his soulbind Kleia, who has already ascended and been appointed as the hand of a Paragon.
There is an emotional farewell between the two, but Pelagos assures that their souls will be forever connected.
In the second cinematic, we see Pelagos already in his new form as the Arbiter. From now on, he ensures that the flow of souls is directed and that all souls are sent to the correct realm of the Shadowlands. The original problem of the Shadowlands is thus likely resolved.

What “deactivated” the Arbiter? A major mystery behind the Shadowlands expansion has been what exactly was behind the reddish projectile that took the Arbiter out of commission. This too has now been clarified – apparently. As speculated by some players, it is the World Soul of Argus, who was killed in Legion.
During the course of the campaign, the Nathrezim attempt to pour the soul of Argus into the “vessel” of a new Arbiter to make Argus an “Eternal.” The attempt fails, and instead, Pelagos ultimately becomes the new Arbiter.
Whether Argus was really responsible for deactivating the Arbiter is not 100% clear – however, the evidence now increasingly points in that direction.
More news about World of Warcraft can be found here:
It does seem a bit surprising that Blizzard has revealed all these rather explosive story details already on the PTR and not – as often in the past – only disclosed when the patch goes live. This now leads to numerous spoilers, but in return, the contents are tested more thoroughly and the occurrence of bugs is significantly minimized.
What do you think of this “rescue” of the Shadowlands? Is Pelagos well-suited as Arbiter? Or would you have preferred a different resolution?

The game mode Battlefield 2042 Rush is in the game since the major update 3. It was well received right away but has always had a catch – Rush was time-limited. The developers are now responding to fan feedback and extending the mode. Thus, Rush can also be played over the Christmas holidays. However, fans demand: Make the game mode permanent.
What is the game mode? With update 3, the mode “Battlefield 2042 Rush” was added to the official Battlefield Portal playlist. This was the first time the classic game mode was playable on the maps of Battlefield 2042.
Rush is best understood as a smaller version of Breakthrough. Instead of 128 players, here 32 players (16 per team) compete against each other. On smaller versions of the gigantic maps, 2 teams fight for sectors on the map. Attackers try to plant bombs to take over map control; defenders want to prevent them from doing so.
Rush first appeared in this form in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Immediately, it became the flagship of the game and a new favorite mode in the community.
How do fans find the game mode? The Rush version on the maps and with the specialists from Battlefield 2042was immediately well received. However, there has been a catch from the beginning: The game mode is time-limited. Rush was originally supposed to be playable only until December 14.
Since then, fans have been demanding on Reddit and Twitter that Rush be made a permanent game mode. A user on Reddit said, “The fact that Rush 2042 is not a permanent game mode in All-Out-Warfare is one of the dumbest decisions [the developers] could make” (via reddit).
How are the developers reacting? Ripple Effect Studios are the developers responsible for Battlefield Portal. Their Senior Design Director, Justin Wiebe, responded to fan wishes in a tweet:
“After hearing the passionate reactions from all of you that you want Rush 2042 to be in the game longer, we wanted to let you know that it will no longer be removed on the planned date.”

Fans are happy but want Rush to stay in the game forever
On Reddit, the excitement over this announcement is initially so great that Wiebe’s statement was misread. Although Wiebe only says that Rush will no longer be removed at the planned time, fans mistakenly believed: The mode will stay forever (via reddit). However, this statement was never made.
2042 Rush is expected to remain playable over the holidays. So it is to be expected that the mode will be removed again this year – at least according to current plans.
Even if fans are happy about the extension: The community’s wish was for the game to stay forever and be integrated into the main game.
@ItheGuardiansI on Twitter says: “Please just make it permanent. I would even be happy if you occasionally switched from 32 to 64 players to make it a bit crazier, but please just keep the mode.” (via Twitter)
@Bigsweatysock tweets: “Just leave it in, period. It’s the only mode worth playing.” (via Twitter)
@Crille8900 complains: “I don’t understand. Rush has been a part of Battlefield for a long time. And now it is only limited. WTF, Dice? The game needs more options, not everyone wants to play Conquest and Breakthrough every day.” (via Twitter)
Fans wish that this game mode stays forever in Battlefield 2042
A overwhelmingly large part of the community wishes for their favorite mode to be permanently integrated into the game. It is still unclear whether the developers of Battlefield 2042 will fulfill this wish beyond Christmas.
Rush bypasses the biggest problems of the main game
Why is the game mode so popular? The Rush version on the maps and with the specialists from Battlefield 2042was immediately well received. This is also due to the fact that the game mode bypasses fundamental problems of the main game:
In Rush, the too large maps are reduced. This leads to more action in smaller spaces.
Battlefield 2042 Rush was a beacon of hope for the community upon its introduction. The game mode was a sign for many that the game can indeed be fun – under the right circumstances. Now they hope that the many developers of Battlefield 2042 will recognize this too. And for the long term.
The Battlefield community is also unanimous regarding the specialists. In our survey, we collected almost 5,000 of your votes and established a consensus:
Diablo 2 Resurrected attracts not only veterans but also new players and fans of other Diablo games. However, newcomers to Diablo 2 might be taken by surprise by death, as it works a bit differently here. MeinMMO explains what happens when you die.
This is what happens when you die in Diablo 2: Unlike in Diablo III, death in Diablo II is a real punishment. When you die, you lose a lot of what you have earned so far:
all equipped items are gone, you start naked in the town of the respective act
your gold completely disappears from your pockets
the mercenary you had with you also dies
Depending on your character level, you can permanently lose up to 20% of your gold as a “punishment.” The rest lies next to your corpse at the place of your death. You can regain the lost items by looting the corpse, and you can also pick up the gold again.
Items in your chests are generally protected. A larger chest is part of the changes in Diablo 2 Resurrected. As long as you are in the game, up to 16 corpses can be generated.
What happens at higher difficulty levels? Once you reach the difficulty levels “Nightmare” or “Hell,” death is punished even more severely. Every time you die, you lose a portion of your experience points. However, you can never lose a level entirely. You will regain 75% of the lost experience when you pick up the corpse.
Death is particularly severe in Hardcore mode. Because Diablo 2 makes a distinction in the types of characters.
Hardcore vs. Softcore – What is Permadeath?
This is what happens when a Hardcore character dies: If you chose to play “Hardcore” when creating your character, you activate permanent death. This means: if your character dies, you will not be resurrected in the town.
Instead, the character becomes unplayable. It doesn’t matter whether you play online or offline; Hardcore characters remain dead. Consequently, you cannot get back collected items and gold – technically, however, you also do not lose XP at higher difficulty levels.
By the way: The same can happen if you’re not careful when creating new characters. Some players accidentally delete their heroes in the menu, even though this should happen less often due to one of the patches. If your character has “disappeared” due to server issues, just try again. Usually, it is not completely deleted.
This is how you secure your items: If you don’t want to or can’t run back to your corpse, there’s a simple trick. Save and log out. Once you reenter the game, your corpse with your gear will lie at your feet and you can loot it. However, this has 2 disadvantages:
the gold that lay next to your corpse is gone
the map resets and you have to explore everything anew
Also, you must be careful not to die again. Only the corpse with the highest converted gold value will be saved. This means: if you use your “emergency gear” and die again, it may happen that when you log out, you only find the second corpse.
Certain items like legendary items and weapons can have a higher gold value than, for example, the coveted runewords from Diablo 2, which are actually stronger. Be careful not to lose your best items.
If you find the wrong corpse, you cannot change anything about it. The items from your first death will be gone.
This is how you secure your gold: The amount of gold deducted from you is calculated based on the gold you carry and the amount in your personal chest. The more you have on you or stored, the more you will lose. Even gold from the chest can be reduced.
To prevent this, you can distribute the gold into the shared chest slots. These do not count towards the base amount. You should always have a little emergency cash to resurrect your mercenary or to buy potions for the return journey after death.
Other players can collect the gold lying next to your corpse in a multiplayer game, by the way. However, the items on your body are normally protected. Teammates can also guard your corpse to make the return safer. However, you should always be careful when managing your items:
Graphics cards are a rare commodity and currently cost a lot of money. Some people are resorting to particularly bold methods because they cannot buy graphics cards. MeinMMO explains what it’s about.
Imagine you run a computer store and, in broad daylight, someone simply removes the graphics cards from your computers. And this is not just a thought experiment; it has actually happened.
What is the current situation? The current shortage of semiconductors continues to keep prices for graphics cards far too high. Even at the end of 2021, there seems to be no improvement in the situation. However, the demand is very high – so high that now some fraudsters are resorting to particularly bold actions.
Stores are securing their gaming PCs against thieves and fraudsters
What exactly has happened? Some electronics retailers currently show a peculiar picture, as the sellers have gone ahead and wrapped gaming PCs with cable ties. But this security measure has a sad reason, as the news magazine TheNextWeb reports (via thenextweb.com).
A user explained to the news magazine that one must secure all computers in the store with cable ties or similar measures: ‘They secured the devices because people would pull GPU, CPU, and RAM out of the computers.’
And on reddit, a user explains that this is not an exception. A friend of his bought a pre-built PC in an electronics store, and the computer was missing both the graphics card and the processor: ‘My buddy sent it back and told customer service, but they said they didn’t care.’

But it is not only retailers who are affected by such bold actions. There are also other cases where graphics cards are stolen.
These images of secured PCs were shared on reddit (via reddit.com).
Internet cafes are being raided to get rare graphics cards
How bad the current situation is can also be seen from the case of an internet café. These are particularly popular in the Asian region as they are extensively equipped. In addition to fast gaming PCs, there are often showers and sleeping options for gamers.
In China, people have gone so far as to raid such an internet café while distracting the owner. While the owner was getting new bins for the users, the suspected thieves removed the graphics cards including motherboards from the computers. The owner explained that he suffered a loss of more than 7,000 euros (via tomshardware.com).
Not only graphics cards affected: A similar case of sought-after gaming hardware recently occurred in Japan. There, a brazen woman sold a customer a PlayStation 5, but only water bottles were in the package. Here, the deceived buyer complained, and the case ended up with the police. Nevertheless, it is shocking what some people are willing to do to make money with sought-after hardware like graphics cards or game consoles.
What do you think about the current situation? Do you also find it shocking how far some people go to get a coveted graphics card? Discuss with us in the comments!

On November 2, initial tests for the new Boost feature on Twitch began. Streamer and YouTuber Zach Bussey has now analyzed the numbers from the paid Boost feature and shows how reasonable this ‘Pay2Win’ mechanic really is.
How did the Boost feature work? In exchange for money, viewers could promote their favorite streamers. However, this money did not go to the streamer but to Twitch. Subsequently, the streamer was promoted on the main page of the streaming platform. Depending on the amount, it was shown to more or fewer users:
0.88 euros for 1,000 impressions
2.63 euros for 3,000 impressions
4.63 euros for 5,000 impressions
There was also an additional test that worked without money: viewers were supposed to complete community challenges on the respective Twitch streamers’ channels. The challenge could be completed if enough channel points were sacrificed. Channel points are continuously collected by a viewer when they watch the stream, leave a follow, or interact with the stream in other ways.
In the test, only streamers with fewer than 250 average viewers could use this feature. Previously, there were concerns that the gap between large and small streamers would become even larger. However, Zach Bussey is very confident that even with a potential official release, a limit based on average viewers would exist (via YouTube).
The test of the Boost feature has so far only taken place in America. Details about the 125 Twitch streamers who participated in the test:
107 affiliates.
18 partners.
A total of 27 average viewers, calculated across all 125 streamers.
Many of the streamers had about 5 viewers on average.
The channel with the highest average viewership had 353. Although this did not meet the requirements of 250, the person was selected before they received the increase in viewers through raids and hosts.

In his video, Zach Bussey analyzed the Boost test starting from November 2. From October 2 to November 2, he collected data from the test participants and compared it with data from November 2 to December 2. Bussey aimed to analyze the success or failure of the Boost test and included this data from Twitch streamers:
Average viewers.
The highest number of viewers.
Channel views.
Receiving followers.
Hours the streamer was live.
The result: Overall, a negative trend can be observed. Both the average viewers decreased by 6.73% and the channel views decreased by 49.46%. However, the streamers were only live 4.79% fewer hours than the previous month, so it cannot be due to participation.
Bussey emphasized that the goal of such a feature should rather be positive than negative. Therefore, the Boost feature completely missed its target and apparently had almost no impact on the streamers.
Sure, some Twitch streamers had better numbers than the previous month, but that is completely normal for a growing, active streamer, said Bussey. The Boost feature was probably less involved.
Whether Twitch will introduce or test the new ‘Pay2Win’ mechanic in Germany is currently unknown. But starting in December, the free variant via channel points will be tested with us (via Twitch). We do not yet know whether it has started, which streamers will participate, and how it has been received in Germany so far.

In Fortnite there is a popular mode called ‘Team Rumble’. However, this was changed in Chapter 2, causing players to shy away from the mode. With Chapter 3 bringing many changes, fans hoped for a comeback of the favorite, but it only got worse.
What is Team Rumble? In Team Rumble, you were placed in a team of 20 players. Your task was to reach a predetermined score to win the match. The uniqueness of the mode was the looting across the entire map and respawning after death.
You were flown over the map in a Battle Bus and had the choice to land anywhere you wanted, without restrictions from the storm. After that, you had enough time to gather your equipment and loot places.
Unfortunately, Team Rumble is not what it used to be. Many things have changed, and the mode is no longer enjoyable for many.
No weapons, moving storms, and no time to explore and loot
This is what the map looks like when you want to spawn
What has changed? In the middle of Chapter 2, the mode was altered. You were dropped onto the map with random weapons and a storm that was getting faster without time to loot. Many found this annoying, as the fun and relaxation were lost. People wanted the old mode back, but it only got worse.
After further updates, the preset loadout was even removed, and moving storms were introduced. You now spawn in a smaller map, without weapons and with a storm that constantly changes direction. Therefore, players are wondering who thought it was a good idea to change a functioning mode so negatively. There were no necessary changes.
What do players say? The fans of Fortnite do not understand the continuous deteriorations. They cannot comprehend why such changes as a moving storm or spawning on a smaller map were deemed good. Players write on reddit:
Yes, they have made this chapter worse. Instead of spawning with some weapons, you now spawn without weapons. Want to know how many players are on your team? We won’t tell you. I literally played one match to collect a few Shanta shards and then left. It is a literal shell of its former self.
This shows that nobody approves of these changes, and many want to return to the roots of Team Rumble. How the mode will continue to evolve remains questionable. However, the fact is that hardly any player agrees with the changes.
What do you think of the changes? Do you also find that the mode has become unplayable since the last updates? Let us know in the comments.
