With the start of the event, you can look forward to a new shiny in Pokémon GO: Bithora. This Rock- and Water-type Pokémon comes from the 6th generation of games and can evolve into Thanathora.
You can recognize the shiny version by its red and white striped body and the green leaf-like headpiece. During the event, you should look for it in the wilderness. Alternatively, you can hatch it from 7 km eggs and find it in field research.

All Bonuses for the Water Festival
As you are used to from other events in Pokémon GO, there will be the odd bonus during the Water Festival. In addition to a global challenge and the special research for the island Poni, which will be available to you before the actual event starts, you can expect the following bonuses during the event:
What is this challenge? As you already know from other events, like the GO Fest, there will be a global challenge for the Water Festival. In this, all trainers (worldwide) must achieve a specific goal together to earn a special bonus for the rest of the event.

When does the global challenge run? Unlike most other bonuses, the global challenge runs from May 11, 2022, at 8:00 PM to May 21, 2022, at 10:00 AM German time.
If you complete this and the research from the previous three islands in time, you will receive a free bonus special research at the end of the season starting May 25.
