In Diablo 4, many pieces of information have been published far too early because some testers did not adhere to their confidentiality agreements. Fans took a closer look at the gameplay and summarized what they could find out about loot and inventory.
What features are there? According to the leak, Diablo 4 will have several ways to manage your inventory more easily. Among other things, fans have found tabs that allow the inventory to be sorted by equipment, consumables, quest items, and essences.
Additionally, it is said that it will be possible to mark items as “trash” to quickly sell them to the vendor with a click, and there should be a function to melt down items by rarity, as was already the case in Diablo 3.
Some of the content was already known before. Details about the loot, for example, emerged after the first alpha leak. Back then, however, there was not nearly as much to see as now, which is why part of the community sees it as confirmation.
However, we cannot say for certain whether the content will actually be in the game. These are early tests and much can still change. Soon you may be able to get a glimpse of the current state of the game yourself as the closed beta will start.
In June, Blizzard presented the release timeframe for Diablo 4 with a new gameplay showcase. It is set to release in 2023:

Diablo 4 starts closed beta, invites more players
Diablo 4 will soon start its closed beta, in which endgame features are to be tested. Only content will be available that you will be spending time with at the maximum level in the upcoming hack and slash.
Among the contents are particularly challenging nightmare dungeons, the detailed Paragon system, or hell floods that make enemies stronger in certain zones – similar to the terror zones currently in Diablo 2.
You have a chance to participate if you sign up for the beta and have previously spent a lot of time in Diablo 2 Resurrected, Diablo 3, and Diablo Immortal. Blizzard primarily wants to invite veterans who already have experience in endgame.
However, the beta will take place under an NDA, so you will not be allowed to share your experiences. The information Blizzard has provided so far is already enough to unsettle some fans. This is likely due to a single phrasing:
Many are now looking at the competition. Even some users who have bought Nvidia for years are now considering trying AMD.
Prices of the RTX 4000 discourage many gamers
What exactly is the problem? Anyone wanting to buy a new graphics card from the 4000 series must pay at least 1099 euros. In comparison, the RTX 3080 cost “only” 729 euros, although prices were higher at release due to mining and resource shortages. For many users, the price has reached a limit they do not wish to exceed.
Additionally, AMD has seen its components integrated into more gaming systems over the past months, gaining market share.
What are users discussing? For instance, there are currently discussions on reddit about whether to consider AMD. There is a thread on reddit where users want to know which manufacturer offers the best AMD graphics cards. Others even believe that AMD with the RX 7000 could have the chance to overtake Nvidia – just as AMD did with Intel thanks to Ryzen processors (via reddit.com).
What is another point in favor of AMD? AMD has always focused strongly on price. It offered similar performance to Nvidia but always at a slightly lower price.
The fact that AMD has officially reduced prices for the current generation 6000 by up to 30% reinforces gamers’ hopes (via reddit.com) that AMD will not adopt the same pricing strategy as Nvidia is currently implementing.
For many, therefore, “Team Red” is the hope of getting a future graphics card without spending 1,000 euros or more for current features. However, there is still a catch that could dampen those hopes.
RX 7000: Price and release are still completely unknown
What could the problems be? So far, AMD has only briefly teased its latest graphics card generation during the Ryzen 7000 presentation. Nothing is known about performance, efficiency, or even pricing.
If Nvidia is aiming for realistic prices for components, as some speculate, then AMD graphics cards could become similarly expensive in the future.
It then depends on how important it is for AMD to gain more market share with the next generation of graphics cards. If they go high-end on prices, it could be costly for AMD, but could pay off. With more customers, they could also position themselves better in the long run.
Additionally, AMD’s most recent affordable graphics card did not do it any favors: The RX 6500 XT disappointed many, as AMD stripped away many features. Moreover, the RX 6500 XT offered less performance and fewer features than graphics cards that are several years old.
What do you think? Are you considering switching to AMD or will you wait to see how the situation develops? More information about the next generation of AMD and Nvidia can be found in the following article here on MeinMMO:
The 19-year-old Twitch streamer and grandmaster Hans Niemann is shaking up the chess world. World champion Magnus Carlsen had to play against Niemann again on Monday, September 19, made one move, and then resigned the game. There are allegations that 19-year-old Niemann is cheating. However, there is no evidence for this.
What happened?
Magnus Carlsen faced Hans Niemann in a tournament on September 19: In the 6th round of the “Julius Bear Generation Cup”, the two were paired against each other. The match was played online and broadcast live.
But instead of completing the match, Carlsen moved a knight, then resigned and turned off the camera.
A commentator said: “This has never happened before. I can’t believe it. Magnus refuses to play against Hans. He will participate in the tournament, but he says: I’m not playing against him.”
Magnus Carlsen, the five-time world champion.
Casters are completely shocked by the action
This is the scene: You can see the whole action in the video. After 2 moves from Niemann, Carlsen’s camera just turns off. The casters are flabbergasted.
One said when Carlsen appeared for the match, people thought: Good, now we can concentrate on chess again. But the opposite was the case:

Why is this important? Magnus Carlsen is the five-time world champion and is considered by many to be the best chess player who has ever lived. He rarely loses. Before the match against Niemann two weeks ago, Carlsen had not lost 53 games in a row.
Carlsen implies that Niemann could be cheating – but never says it directly
What problem does he have with Niemann? Carlsen surprisingly lost to the underdog Niemann with White in a chess duel two weeks ago. After that, Carlsen withdrew from the tournament.
There were implied allegations that the Twitch streamer Hans Niemann must have cheated somehow. Some speculated that he could have circumvented the strict security measures with a sex toy that was in his butt and sent vibrations. However, it seems that an absurd joke has gotten out of hand.
Niemann had been banned twice as a child and teenager for cheating from the chess.com platform, but he insists that everything is above board now and he has never cheated at the “board”.
Does Carlsen say that the Twitch streamer is cheating? Not directly. In a statement, Carlsen says:
Unfortunately, I can’t speak about it in detail, but people will draw their own conclusions, and they surely have. I must say: I am very impressed with Niemann’s play, and I think his mentor, Maxim Dlugy, must be doing a great job.
Carlsen also said: Whether it is currently a massive problem or not, it is quite easy to cheat in chess – so generally speaking. He believes that cheaters should not be taken lightly in the future, neither online nor over the board.
Twitch is always good for a surprise:

Integrity of the chess game in discussion
What is the problem? To cheat live, a player actually only needs access to a chess computer that has an absurdly high playing strength, like Stockfish. A top player only needs to consult such an engine once or twice in a match to gain significant advantages.
The question is how Niemann could have gained access to such information live at the board. However, it seems that Carlsen suspects that Niemann is cheating, and his rise in rating from 2484 (January 2021) to 2688 (September 2022) can only be explained that way.
How Niemann could have cheated during the live tournament at the board remains a mystery.
In any case, the behavior of the world champion suggests that the chess sport may have an integrity problem if the allegation constantly looms: He won, so he must have cheated.
Since the success of “The Queen’s Gambit” on Netflix, chess has been experiencing a surge on Twitch. Individual chess players have become influencers and use the streaming platform Twitch to reach a new audience:
Blizzard released the new Patch 2.5 for Diablo 2: Resurrected on September 22, 2022. The biggest new feature is the Terror Zones, which make monsters stronger in various areas. In addition, there are over 70 bug fixes and adjustments, as well as a preview of Season 2.
What does the update change? With Patch 2.5, Terror Zones are introduced. When activated, these strengthen an area in the game every hour. Monsters in terrorized zones become stronger, depending on their type, between +2 to +5 levels compared to you.
You can identify terrorized zones by special icons on the monsters and the keyword “Terrorized” on the minimap. Additionally, terrorized zones are bathed in a special light.
Waypoints closest to the zone are highlighted in purple. You can activate Terror Zones for your game once you have defeated Baal at least once with the corresponding character and on the appropriate difficulty.
This is what the Terror Zones look like.
What do Terror Zones bring me? Enemies grant you more loot and experience based on their “new” level. The goal is to offer you an alternative leveling method that does not solely consist of dull Baal runs.
Repeatedly killing Baal has been one of the most common methods for leveling since the release of Lord of Destruction in July 2001. In the 21 years players have developed other methods, but Baal runs are still the go-to method today. At least until now.
Here you can see the legendary cinematic for Act V of Diablo 2 with the final boss Baal:

2. Ladder starts soon – Removes immunities from enemies for the first time
What’s included in the 2. Ladder? With the 2. Ladder, you will be able to obtain new spells (“Charms”), the Sunder Charms. These allow you for the first time to deal elemental damage to enemies against which they are normally immune.
From Hell, enemies can have such high resistances to magic, physical damage, or elemental damage that they become immune to it. Many builds, such as the Sorceress builds, rely on particularly strong spells of a specific element – such as frost or fire.
However, if an enemy is immune to that element, you can hardly kill them. The new spells reduce the resistance to 95%, even before other modifiers are calculated. This allows you to deal damage, but you will also receive correspondingly more damage of that type in return. The new spells are:
The Black Cleft – Breaks magic immunity and reduces your resistance by 45-60 %
The Bone Break – Breaks physical immunity and reduces your resistance by 10-30 %
The Cold Rupture – Breaks cold immunity and reduces your resistance by 70-90 %
The Crack of the Heavens – Breaks lightning immunity and reduces your resistance by 70-90 %
The Flame Rift – Breaks fire immunity and reduces your resistance by 70-90 %
The Rotting Fissure – Breaks poison immunity and reduces your resistance by 70-90 %
The spells come in corresponding colors for easy identification.
What exactly is the Ladder? Ladders are the feature that makes Diablo 2 so popular and are essentially the same as seasons that you might know from Diablo 3. You need to create a new character. The idea behind the system is that you measure yourself against other players to be the first to reach level 99.
Ladder characters have access to special loot, such as the new Sunder Charms, Horadrim recipes, or rune words. After the Ladder, your characters will be transferred to the standard games list and retain their special loot.
When does the Ladder start? The Patch 2.5 is already live, but the new Ladder will start on October 6 at 2:00 AM German time.
The new Diablo 4 is also already on the starting blocks and will soon launch its first closed beta, where endgame features will be tested. You might have a chance to be selected if you have played Diablo 2: Resurrected extensively. However, fans are already concerned:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28 and before that, there will be closed and open beta phases. Currently, the second beta weekend is underway, with pre-orders on PC and Xbox getting access now, and there is even an open beta on PlayStation. MeinMMO has all the information.
Here we will post the available modes of the beta: – Team Deathmatch – Domination – Prisoner Rescue – Knock-Out – Third-Person Mosh Pit – Invasion (32vs32) – Search & Destroy – Ground War – Hardpoint
For players on PlayStation, an open beta is running directly. We list the most important information for you. With a click, you can go to the desired section in the article:

CoD MW2: Beta – When and how can I participate?
When does the beta of CoD MW2 start?
The second beta weekend is online. Here are the dates:
PlayStation dates – Open Beta 2: September 22 / 6 PM to September 26 / 7 PM
Xbox/PC dates – Early Access: September 22 / 6 PM to September 24 / 7 PM – Open Beta: September 24 / 7 PM to September 26 / 7 PM
The open beta starts on Saturday at 7 PM and lasts for 48 hours.
How can I participate?
During the ‘open beta’ phases, you can download the beta for free from your respective shops. If you have a pre-order, you either need to redeem the code on your platform or you are already automatically unlocked. Then look for the beta in your respective store.
Do I need PS Plus or Xbox Live?
PS Plus is not necessary, but you need Xbox Live on Microsoft consoles.
How can I access Early Access?
The only reliable way is a pre-order. With each version you pre-order, you get exclusive access to the early access phases.
However, you can really only get into the beta for the first weekend with a PlayStation. Pre-ordering on Xbox won’t help.
On which platforms can I participate?
On the second weekend, all supported platforms can play: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Steam, and Battle.net launcher.
How do I get keys/codes?
Keep an eye on the official social media channels of Call of Duty – especially Twitter and Instagram. Shortly before the beta starts, the developers like to give away many codes for participating in early access.
However, many content creators also receive codes to give away. Pay attention to creators who produce a lot of content for Call of Duty.
Otherwise, you can get keys/codes for the beta through the physical edition of Modern Warfare 2. Each CD packaging also provides a key. You can find offers on eBay that promise access for just a few euros. You’ll have to decide for yourself if it’s worth it.
Where do I download the beta? If you have a digital pre-order, the download is automatically activated for you. On consoles, you can simply search for “modern warfare beta” in the store.
If you have a beta key, you will first need to activate it (www.callofduty.com/betaredeem) and select your desired platform.
On Steam, there is a dedicated Steam page for the beta. Search here for “modern warfare beta” as well.
In the Battle.net launcher, select the game Modern Warfare 2 and on the left side, where it usually says “Download” or “Install”, you will find a small drop-down menu above with the “Game Version” – here you choose the beta.
How large is the download for the beta? The beta is not quite 30 GB on PS4 and PS5, around 35 GB on Xbox consoles, and significantly smaller on PC:
PS4: 25,305 GB
PS5: 27,583 GB
Xbox: 35.4 GB
Steam: about 17 GB
CoD MW2: Beta – All about content and rewards
What content does the beta offer? Old and new multiplayer modes as well as the large “Ground War” mode will be part of the beta. We list the content for you:
32vs32 “Ground War” Map: Sarrif Bay
New large mode Invasion
6vs6 maps
Valderas Museum (removed)
Breenbergh Hotel (new)
Farm 18
Mercado Las Almas
6vs6 modes
Team Deathmatch
Domination
Other known modes
New: Knock-Out
New: Prisoner Rescue
Update: The new map Marina Bay Grand Prix was actually announced to be part of the beta. However, the announcement has now been removed by the developers.
The new mode Knock-Out is a fast version of “Search & Destroy” without respawns but with revives. In Prisoner Rescue, one team must rescue a hostage, and respawns are disabled. Invasion supports matches up to 32vs32 and is a kind of team deathmatch including NPCs and respawns.
Besides that, many new gadgets from CoD MW2 are already in the game. These include a deployable camera, an EMP stick for throwing, a “drill charge” (grenade that penetrates walls), and the DDoS – a field upgrade that temporarily disables electronic devices.
The “Vault weapons” can also be tested, and the new gunsmith. You can find details about them here:
Will I keep the beta progress? No, your achievements and statistics from the beta will not carry over to the main game. However, there is a “reward” system for participants.
How do the “rewards” of the beta work? As you level up, there are rewards for the finished game. The beta goes up to level 30 and at many stages, there is a cosmetic reward.
You can also earn the rewards from the first week in the second week, here’s a look at the gifts:
CoD MW2: Beta – The system requirements
What does my PC need to have? Here you can find the necessary system requirements for the beta test. It is still unclear whether the requirements for the full game will change:
The Twitch streamer Karen Liao was apparently dissatisfied with the amount a viewer donated to her. She threatened to ban him if he didn’t dig deeper into his pockets.
Who is it about? Karen Liao is an influencer who is active on various social media platforms. She runs a TikTok account with 435,500 followers. On Twitch, she is still quite new: about 4,000 people follow her there. To increase the number of her subscribers, she uses unusual methods.
A real game changer for many streamers was Prime Gaming. What it’s all about you can see in the video.

Prime Gaming, the secret behind Twitch’s success
How does Liao want to achieve her sub goal? It is not unusual for streamers on Twitch to ask for subs, or subscriptions to their channels. But Liao is practically extorting her viewers. In one stream, she received a $1 donation from a viewer, after which she confronted him.
“Did you just send me a dollar? What am I supposed to buy with that?” asked the streamer. After all, she only receives 60 cents from it. Karen thought: The viewer shouldn’t be so poor.
Liao urged the viewer to subscribe to her channel – and threatened to ban him if he did not comply with her demand: “Okay, if you don’t sub immediately, you will be banned in 3, 2, 1.”
The clip quickly spread on Twitter and reddit. While some users are shocked by the behavior of the streamer, others believe that Liao’s viewers actually want this kind of content. They already sense a new meta that could take Twitch by storm (via reddit).

What did Liao have to say? The streamer has now commented on the situation and said that the viewer was banned for a completely different reason. She criticized that the footage was taken out of context.
Why the viewer should have been banned: Liao explained that the viewer had behaved toxic in her chat and insulted other viewers. At the same time, he boasted about wanting to donate a lot of money. So she asked him to back up his words with actions – or to leave.
You can watch Liao’s explanation here in English:

Liao is not the first female streamer to ask her viewers for money in clear terms. The Canadian streamer InvaderVie also got into trouble when she demanded her viewers to gift her a subscription. She also did not accept unemployment and poverty as excuses, as everyone presumably has the money available.
The official FIFA 23 soundtrack has been announced. As usual, it’s quite a colorful mix – here you can find all the songs.
FIFA and its soundtracks: Although things like improved features or player ratings are always in focus before a new FIFA release, the soundtrack also generates excitement for many fans.
The FIFA series is known for quite mixed soundtracks with songs from all possible genres. Many musicians, who you might not recognize from the mainstream, also get a chance.
So you can quickly find a new favorite song over a few rounds of FIFA. Especially, when playing Career Mode and the music is playing in the background while you plan the next transfers.
Now the FIFA 23 soundtrack is officially known – just a week before the game is supposed to be released.
All songs in the FIFA 23 playlist
What kind of songs are included? The list is long. Once again, the playlist is divided into “Menu Soundtrack” and “Volta Soundtrack”. While the menu is a colorful mix, the Volta list is rather dominated by beats that fit the street football vibe.

With a weekly/daily system, the optimal way is to log in daily and play for 2-3 hours. Miss a day, and you miss progress. Want to play more than 3 hours? Too bad, progress will be throttled; better log in tomorrow. This is a terrible system that controls how you approach the game.
In Diablo 2/3, I can play 10 hours on a weekday or 5 hours on 2 days a week and make the same progress. You have the freedom to play as much or as little as you want, without losing progress.
Hopefully, they will just reflect the season journey of Diablo 3 and make the battle pass based on time, as COD does.
Timegating seems to bother core fans the most, who like to play a lot but cannot do so daily. If work does not allow you to log in daily but catch up on weekends, such limits do not permit that.
Will it really be that bad? Some counterarguments on reddit explain that the whispers could simply be rotating bounties. Nowhere has it been stated that there is a daily system, and the tasks are simply available 24/7.
Only the fact that bounties might generally not be fun could potentially be a problem.
How exactly these whispers or bounties and the other endgame activities will look can only be confirmed at release. The content will be tested and possibly adjusted during the beta.
Those who want to get a glimpse in advance must hope for an invitation. Blizzard will distribute these to players with a lot of playtime in Diablo 2: Resurrected, Diablo 3, and Diablo Immortal until mid-October. The beta itself, however, will run under an NDA, so no information may be shared.
That this does not always protect is already shown by the currently ongoing family & friends test of Diablo 4. Some players simply do not follow the rules:

Blizzard recently announced the first closed beta test of Diablo 4. Veteran players are expected to test endgame content there. However, one of these features is already facing major rejection before the test.
What feature is it? Diablo 4 will have a similar system to the bounties that Diablo 3 currently has. Blizzard introduced the feature along with the content of the closed beta of Diablo 4.
The Whispers of the Dead is one of those endgame features that are to be tested. Tasks will regularly appear on the map, granting you loot and experience points, as well as a new currency: Horrific Gifts. These can be exchanged at the Whispering Tree for even more rewards.
In a similar way, bounties currently work in Diablo 3, only that the Whispering description states: “New [Whispers] will be available throughout the day for you to pursue.”
Fans see this as a daily system they do not want to engage with. They express their concerns, among other places, on reddit.

The FIFA 23 Companion App is here. Here you will learn everything about the update, download, and login.
This is the FIFA 23 Companion App: The Companion App is the app version for iOS and Android. However, it is content-wise identical to the already available web app.
Update, 19:24: Now the Companion App is available for FIFA 23 for iOS and Android. Here you will find the links to download.
Where can I download the Companion App? You can download the app from the respective stores or get the update there.
Update, 16:50: So far, the Companion App is still missing, so one has to continue to rely on the web app. Everything indicates a release in the evening – then one can solve additional SBCs in the app. However, some SBCs in FIFA 23 don’t seem to work.
When will the FIFA 23 Companion App be released? So far, there is no official release time for the Companion App. However, one can assume that it will be released this evening, based on the past.
In FIFA 22, the Companion App started at 19:10.
In FIFA 21, it started at 20:00.
Even the launch of the web app yesterday is an indicator. It went live around 19:45.
A start between 19:00 and 20:00 for the Companion App is therefore likely.
FIFA 23: How do I access the Companion App? Download & Login
Does the FIFA 23 Companion App require a download? Yes, this app has to be downloaded from the store. In contrast, the web app can simply be played in the browser.
Who does not have to download? If you already have the FUT 22 app, you only need to update to the new version.
Who can log in to the FIFA 23 Companion App? In principle, players can start using the Companion App from today who:
Created a FUT club in FIFA 22 and logged into it on their platform before August 1, 2022
The FUT 22 account must still exist, the club must not be deleted
The account must be “in good standing”, meaning no rule violations

Destiny 2 is going offline today for an update, and players can expect some server downtime. MeinMMO will keep you updated on the maintenance times and explain what changes to expect afterwards.
What you need to know today: Although Tuesday is still the current “maintenance day” in Destiny 2, today’s maintenance is again happening on a Thursday. The reason is a shift that Bungie communicated to players on Twitter on September 17.
The servers will go offline today so that Bungie can roll out the already prepared Update 6.2.0.6 from the background maintenance. We will guide you through the hotfix and update this article with fresh information. So stay tuned for regular updates.
Update History: for Hotfix 6.2.0.6
7:10 PM: Bungie is serving the patch notes for Update 6.2.0.6 right after. We will link them for you further down in the article. The maintenance is still running in the background until 8 PM. However, you can already start playing again. Have fun.
7:00 PM: Welcome back. Bungie has just brought their systems online again and deployed Hotfix 6.2.0.6 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Google Stadia. The download on PC is 113.4 MB in size.
6:15 PM: Time to say goodbye. The Destiny 2 servers have just been taken offline for maintenance. Players will need to wait a little while now. Time for a hot drink.
5:00 PM: The maintenance period is now running. In a little more than an hour, the Destiny 2 servers will go offline for maintenance. Players should prepare to finish their ongoing activities before then.
Arrrr, players in Destiny 2 are currently going on part-time pirate adventures.
Maintenance on 22.09. – All Times and Server Downtime
As always, Bungie has published a precise schedule for players so that you are prepared and know when you can’t play.
These times are important today:
At 5:00 PM German time, maintenance will begin in the background on all platforms.
From 6:15 PM, the servers will go offline, and you will be automatically kicked from all activities.
Around 7:00 PM, the servers are expected to come back online, and Update 6.2.0.6 will be rolled out for all platforms. You can then log back in to play.
Even though the servers are back online, maintenance officially continues until 8:00 PM.
It’s important to note: Even if you have downloaded the update and are back in the game, there may be connection problems until maintenance is over. You might also have to deal with queues when logging in. Additionally, note that third-party applications as well as the official companion app might not be functioning correctly.
What Changes with Update 6.2.0.6 in Season 18
What the update bringstoday: Although Bungie has yet to provide details about the latest bug fixes, there are still a few issues that might be addressed in the new update.
The loading times on the Tower are still slow. Players will therefore have to continue avoiding the H.E.L.M. to bypass this issue.
Bungie is investigating reports from players who have no access to Destiny 2 on PS4.
There is a missing option for the 120 Hz refresh rate on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Triumphs are missing in the Lost Sector “The Rift” and shields are not displaying correctly.
The key combination for a charged melee ability does not work properly with the Titan melee ability “Thundercrash” when near enemies.
The Exotic Sparrow “Hyperborean Wing” cannot be selected in the collection.
The Exotic Helm “Dawn Chorus” is not displayed in the collection and is likely no longer dropping in Lost Sectors.
The Expedition activity shows no stats in the activity overview.
The Exotic quest “Xenology” does not account progress in playlist activities.
Repeatable star chart bounties can still be purchased even if players have a full quest inventory.
Player name changes are still not customizable via bungie.net. Players are still waiting for the option to change their usernames multiple times instead of just once.
If you notice any issues in the game, the recommendation is to report them directly through the official Bungie Help Forum to make the developers aware of them.
What do you think about the new “maintenance day” on Thursday? Is that convenient for you, or did you prefer Tuesday? Feel free to leave a comment below.
Currently, Destiny 2 is also facing its own difficulties as a major cheat provider is now taking legal action against Bungie:
A completely ridiculous game has appeared on Steam. In Trombone Champ, you are supposed to hit notes with a trombone, which apparently turns out to be quite complicated. Tens of thousands are celebrating the failures of various players on Twitter and the strange notes that come out.
What kind of game is this? Actually, Trombone Champ is a rather simple rhythm game. Notes appear on the right side of the screen that you need to press and hold according to the beat.
So it isn’t much different from classic Guitar Hero, just with a trombone and two special features. For one, the notes are not strictly bound by chords but flow into each other. This leads to some bizarre intermediate tones, just like with a trombone.
On the other hand, the trombone sounds a bit… different. While the sound is definitely classified as a brass instrument, with just a little good will, it can also be interpreted as quite a childish fart sound.
Accordingly, the laughter and joy surrounding the new game on Twitter and Co. is immense. A user’s tweet, who poorly mutilated the famous overture from William Tell, reached over 160 thousand likes and tens of thousands of retweets on Twitter within a few hours:

What particularly amuses people is that poorly hit notes are rated as “nasty” – a word often used for both negative and suggestive remarks.
Surprisingly, Trombone Champ has not achieved much success on Steam yet. According to steamcharts, a maximum of 1,028 people played simultaneously since the release on September 16. However, the reviews are “very positive” at 95%. Here you can find Trombone Champ on Steam.
Many of the reviews praise that you can have a few hours of fun with Trombone Champ for just 12.49 Euros. The game isn’t very long, offering only 20 playable tracks, but it brings many laughs when you play as poorly as the Twitter user mentioned above.
The most praised review on Steam even mentions that the game accurately represents how it feels to be a real trombonist:
I am a classically trained trombonist with 27 years of experience […] You have to believe me when I say that this is not just a rhythm game. It is a simulation. All those countless hours of practice, lessons, rehearsals, and performances have been rendered meaningless by Trombone Champ.
It is real. All of it. The stroboscopic light. The ‘accidental’ glissandos. The disappointed look of the conductor. The roaring applause. The faint antagonism from all the other instruments. And the baboons. ABOVE ALL the baboons.
Everything is fitting – except that you don’t learn how to count your pauses until the next entrance correctly. Others jokingly say that they have thrown Rocksmith off the record for this game.
Negative reviews only advise against the game because you have to torture yourself through your own inability to unlock everything. But if you want to push through it, you will be well propelled to keep going.
Gord on Steam – 16 Minutes of Gameplay with Developer Commentary
Indie games like Trombone Champ for such a low price often have the potential to become a viral hit, especially because of their accessibility and humor. Exciting gameplay often plays a significant role here. There are already several examples from the past:
In FIFA 23, you also have the chance to see how high your chance is to pull high-rated cards from packs. We take a look at your possible chances.
Every FUT player wants to improve their team with strong stars. Unfortunately, it’s not so easy to get them: The packs with such cards cost a lot of coins and the chances of getting good players are usually very low.
Alternatively, you can buy strong players on the transfer market. But the cards with the best ratings generally cost a lot of coins. While you can earn a lot of coins through smart trading or good rewards from Division Rivals, Weekend League, or other new modes in FUT, it takes a lot of patience to buy top cards like Mbappé.
Many players therefore hope to get good cards faster through pack openings. But what do the chances look like?
Top cards slightly less likely than last year
Here are the chances: In the FUT store, players can take a closer look at all current packs. The probabilities for strong cards are displayed, so you can at least see somewhat how high the chance is for a card with good ratings.
When you take a close look at the chances in FUT 23, you will find that the probabilities have gotten slightly worse than at the start of FIFA 22.
Here are the differences:
Premium Gold Pack in FIFA 22 – Gold Players (84+) – 7.7 % (As of 03.10.2021)
Premium Gold Pack in FIFA 23 – Gold Players (84+) – 7.4 % (As of 22.09.2022)
So don’t expect a top card to appear in every pack. With 7.4 % in FIFA 23, your chance looks somewhat worse than last year.
It should also be noted that it is unclear how the distribution within that 7.4 % looks. It is assumed that the chance of an 84-rated player is significantly higher than, for example, that of a 91-rated player.
Probabilities in the Premium Gold Pack
In FIFA 23, there is currently a Premium Gold Pack. The pack costs just like last year 7,500 coins, but includes, as shown in our comparison, a slightly lower probability of pulling top cards. For players with an 84+ rating, you have a 7.4 % chance to get one.
Once again, there is a Premium Silver Pack. The probability of getting a silver player with a 74+ rating is 11%.
Premium Silver Pack
Probabilities in the Premium Bronze Pack
Finally, there is the Premium Bronze Pack. Through this pack, you have the chance to get bronze players for a very low price. The cost is 750 coins, with a 41 % probability of getting a 64+ bronze player.
Premium Bronze Pack
What about other packs and special cards? Currently, there are only these three packs in the FIFA 23 Web App – and a preview version of the Premium Gold Pack. However, it is assumed that different additional promo packs will be added. These will then have different probabilities.
Furthermore, over time, additional special cards will be added. These will also have their own probability values.
Are Packs worth it? Comparing the values from previous years with those of this year, one quickly realizes that the chance of popular top cards is even lower.
Whether you want to spend your coins on packs or even invest real money in the game is up to you. However, considering this year’s probabilities, it quickly becomes clear that you shouldn’t hope for high player ratings from packs. Generally, the investment is rarely worth it.
Most of the time, it’s wiser to earn packs purely through gameplay – as rewards from modes like Rivals, Squad Battles, Champions, and more. You should rather spend coins on the transfer market and directly buy the players you need – instead of relying on luck.
The exception is the preview pack: Here, you can check every day what contents are actually inside. So, you are taking no risk of getting something that is not worth it.

Two affixes have caused the community of World of Warcraft a lot of frustration – they will likely no longer be part of the “Mythic+” system in Dragonflight.
The “Mythic+” feature can be considered one of the biggest successes in recent years in World of Warcraft. With changing affixes every week, there are always new challenges in the dungeons, and the adventures feel fresh and challenging for a long time.
However, the different affixes are not equally popular among the community. Two affixes in particular caused long faces and exasperated sighs: “Necrotic” and “Inspiring”.
What was the problem with the affixes? “Necrotic” and “Inspiring” were among the most problematic affixes:
Necrotic causes every melee attack from enemies to leave a stackable negative effect on players. Each stack reduces the character’s healing received and simultaneously causes damage over time. The effect can stack infinitely, so that healing becomes 0 with too many stacks.
Inspiring affects some mobs in the dungeon and causes them to emit an aura. The aura protects all other nearby enemies from control and interrupt effects. This means that enemies cannot be stopped while casting.
Both affixes are largely considered game enjoyment killers by the community. They are not just additional challenges but drastically change how a dungeon needs to be played in order to succeed.
In the current version of the beta for Dragonflight, both “Necrotic” and “Inspiring” have disappeared from the database. It seems that these affixes will not return.
Tank shortage was extreme during Necrotic weeks: Necrotic was especially unpopular among tanks, causing many players to choose not to participate in those weeks at all. Tanks are traditionally in short supply in World of Warcraft, and this issue was only exacerbated during the Necrotic weeks.
Tanks who just have to run away – this is hardly enjoyable for any tank.
This is mainly because “Necrotic” virtually ruins the tank fantasy. Instead of being able to hold enemies and take hits as a tank, you are forced to run away from enemies with the affix “Necrotic” and often kite them over longer distances. While tanks are used to having to kite enemies occasionally, when that is the case with every mob group in the dungeon, it significantly detracts from the enjoyment of the game.
However, keep in mind that this information is from the beta. Things could change before the release.
Do you think it’s good that Blizzard is removing these affixes? Or did you enjoy the special challenges that came with Necrotic and Inspiring?
This is an AI-powered translation. Some inaccuracies might exist.
In Destiny 2 the spooky season is coming soon along with the “Festival of the Lost.” Players can earn Halloween armor again in 2022. A leak has also revealed that there will be fun new masks and a super cool sniper rifle. MeinMMO shows what it can do and what loot you can expect for Halloween.
What can players expect at the “Festival of the Lost”? As every year, Bungie will celebrate its traditional Halloween event next month, likely on October 18th.
For this, the Guardians were asked back in March 2022 to decide which new Halloween armors Bungie should implement. However, more information about the upcoming spooky event has not been available until now.
Therefore, some data miners have once again diligently tried to find out more concrete details about the upcoming “Festival of the Lost” from the Destiny API. Obviously with success. They found hints of new, themed cosmetics, fun masks, and a new Halloween event weapon with a unique origin trait.
We show you what the players have discovered. But please keep in mind, these are still unconfirmed details about the Halloween event that are not officially from Bungie. So enjoy them with caution.
What is the Festival of the Lost?
This event has its roots in Destiny 1 and is held in honor of fallen Guardians. Basically, it is the Destiny version of Halloween.
All players come together in the Tower of the Last City to commemorate their loved ones, friends, and comrades who fell in battle. Here, the Guardians should reflect and remember what they stand for and fight for during the event.
Bungie transforms the Tower into a festive place with decorations and lights during the event. Through the event map, the Guardians then receive event-specific tasks, activities, and themed rewards.
Zavala is expected to welcome spooky Guardians again in 2022.
Which weapon was leaked for the Halloween event? Cunning Guardians have dug through the data from light.gg and discovered a new Arc sniper rifle. This is supposed to be the new event weapon for the “Festival of the Lost.”
A schematic 3D model of the weapon, its origin trait, and perks were seen. It seems to be a legendary sniper with an aggressive frame that also offers insane stats. So it could be worth hunting this new “carrot” in October.
First Perk Slot: Perpetual Motion, Triple Tap, Snapshot Sights, No Distractions, Clown Cartridge, and Auto-Loading Holster.
Second Perk Slot: Vorpal Weapon, First Shot, Through-the-Scope Rounds, Moving Target, Practical Frame, and Skillful Transfer.
What are origin traits on weapons?
With the expansion “The Witch Queen,” Destiny 2 introduced so-called origin traits on its weapons. These are additional and unique advantages, which show the origin of a weapon and provide players with significant benefits.
During the Solstice 2022, weapons had the unique origin perk “Dream Job,” which allowed the magazine to overflow.
Furthermore, it seems that the weapon is not just pure recycling. While there are minor similarities to the well-known sniper “The Perilous Venture,” the appearance of the new event weapon looks visually much better and significantly reworked.
In addition to the new sniper rifle, players can probably look forward to new cosmetics as well. Here, too, early information has been gleaned from Bungie’s API.
Players can expect a recycled Savathun mask with a trash can on its head and three green button eyes.
There will be a blue and glittery star horse mask, referencing Xur’s impossible horse buddy from the “30 Years of Bungie” DLC.
A curious toast helmet.
The Fynch mask, a paper design of the new Throne World vendor.
In 2022, players can become the weapon with the most bugs in the game by putting on the new Telesto mask. After the Banshee meme, it is another funny tribute from Bungie for a great exotic “with a mind of its own.”

What do the new “Festival of the Lost” armors look like? Of course, there will also be new armors again. For this, Bungie has once again put the players in front of the choice of which armors they would like: monster or mecha.
The voting period was from April 7th to 13th. After that, it was clear that with nearly 52 % to 48 % of the votes, the Guardians will receive new Mecha ornaments during the “Festival of the Lost”. The result of the vote was published on Twitter.
This is what the Halloween Mecha armors for 2022 look like in an initial concept.
Is anything known about the event activity? Unfortunately not. Last year, however, Bungie sent the Guardians into Haunted instead of Lost Sectors. These were spooky decorated and the goal was to hunt headless beings that appeared in the form of Cabal Knights with pumpkin heads. That and a unique storybook provided a bit of pleasant, fresh air to the event in 2021.
Whether players should explore sectors again this year, if the Haunted Forest returns, or if Bungie has planned a new, spooky activity remains to be seen shortly before the event starts on October 18th.
What activity will be active in 2022 for Halloween is still unknown.
How do you get these new items and armors? The masks and cosmetics can likely be picked up again from Space-Omi Eva Levante. She is still fit and not ready to retire. So she will probably continue to be your quest giver for upcoming Destiny events.
By completing the various challenges on the new event map, as was the case in the summer event “Solstice,” more event cosmetics will likely be available.
The armor ornament sets will, however, not be earnable as always but will come directly to the Eververse. There, you can either earn them with Bright Dust or buy them with Silver. In 2021, prices for each set were either 6,000 Bright Dust or correspondingly 1,500 Silver. It is quite possible that Bungie will maintain this in 2022.
You can find more cool news about Destiny 2 regularly on MeinMMO:
Who can participate in the Halloween event 2022? In Destiny 2 events, it does not matter whether you have purchased a DLC or a season or not.All players can participate in the event using the free-to-play version Destiny 2: New Light. So you are invited to join in and turn your Guardian into a Mecha or get the event sniper.
What do you think about the new sniper with the origin trait? Is that a reason for you to visit the Halloween event? Or do you think there are better alternatives than this new “piece of gun”? And which of the Mecha armors do you like the most? Let us know in the comments what you think about it.
Anyone wanting to play Destiny 2 tonight should also consider the server downtime:
FIFA 23 is not out yet, but you can already earn some rewards in the web app. However, there is a significant change with some popular SBCs.
These are the SBCs in question: In “Squad Building Challenges”, you exchange a team of players that must meet certain requirements for a reward. These can be packs, for example.
If you check the FIFA 23 web app under the “Advanced” tab in the Squad Building Challenges, you will find three sets of complicated SBCs:
The Hybrid Leagues
The Hybrid Nations
The League/Nation Hybrid Challenge
All three sets have always been present in FIFA in previous years and have always been very popular, as you could earn some strong rewards here.
The good packs from the challenges always gave hope for top players for your own team, at the very least for a decent profit on the transfer market when selling the rest of the players from the packs.
However, players will have to say goodbye to the latter in FIFA 23: The rewards from the “advanced” SBCs are untradeable this time – and therefore useless on the transfer market.
Popular Starter SBCs yield better packs, but you can’t sell anything from them
What does untradeable mean? If something is “untradeable” in FIFA, you cannot sell it on the transfer market. An untradeable player is essentially useless if you actually want coins.
These players can still be used in your own team or in SBCs, but they must either fit directly into your own team or into the corresponding SBCs. However, that is not so easy considering the new chemistry system in FIFA 23.
All rewards from the challenge are untradeable – including the partial SBCs
What kind of packs do the SBCs bring? The packs you get from the challenges have been improved this year. For example, completing the full groups provides a Jumbo Rare Players Pack for both Hybrid Leagues and Hybrid Nations instead of a Rare Mega Pack like last year. These packs are worth about twice as much. There are also better packs in the partial challenges than last year.
The chance of pulling something good has therefore increased. But you definitely can’t sell it.
Getting started in FIFA 23 may pose a relatively high hurdle regarding collecting coins. The SBCs have always been a good place to build up a coin cushion to form good starter teams. At the same time, this could also mean that many players won’t have as many coins at the beginning – and thus fewer over-teams running around at the start.
It remains to be seen how other SBCs that will come into the game over time will look. In the past, more and more SBC rewards have become “untradeable”.
The streaming service Twitch has just been praised for the restriction of gambling streams, now criticism is pouring in. Especially larger streamers are said to receive less money in the future. We at MeinMMO show you what it’s all about.
What is going on? Most Twitch streamers receive 50% of their subscription revenue. However, larger streamers have so far received special treatment, where the revenues were split 70/30. This has recently led to increasing discontent, as smaller streamers demanded this division for everyone.
Now the streaming platform is reacting, but not in the way many would have wished. Instead, starting from June 2023, all streamers, regardless of the size of their channel, will receive the standard division of 50/50, as Twitch announced on September 21 (via Twitch).
Really everyone? There is one exception: Streamers who currently have the premium deal of 70/30 will be allowed to keep these conditions, but only up to an annual revenue maximum of $100,000.
For revenue from subs that exceed this threshold, the 50/50 division will also apply for the remainder of the 12-month period – at least for “Tier 1” subscriptions. For “Tier 2” and “Tier 3” subs, 60% and 70% go to the streamer.
How does Twitch justify this: First of all, the new division is supposed to ensure more transparency and fairness among streamers. Additionally, Twitch argues with the rising costs of providing their services.
The resulting loss of revenue for some streamers is to be compensated by a higher share of advertising revenue and a lowered withdrawal threshold starting at $50.
In this context, Twitch also mentions the subscriptions that are included for Amazon users in their Prime membership. You can see what this model is all about in the video.

Prime Gaming, the secret behind Twitch’s success
German streamers are concerned about the development
How are the reactions? On Twitter, opinions vary widely. After all, the change only affects the larger – and hence higher-earning – streamers. But it’s not that simple.
After all, streamers of this size have completely different expenses, so the argument goes. From the money that comes in through Twitch, employees and any premises must be paid (via Twitter). The streamer Olli, part of the Twitch Trio DoktorFroid, elaborates on this further.
The cap of $100,000 is not what would land with the streamer. Rather, it is how much is paid to Twitch. Of that, only $1.50 per sub would arrive at the streamer, from which costs for taxes, insurance, and electricity would then be deducted.
Olli finds the changes “worrisome” and says he is “extremely sad and disappointed”. He fears that in the long run the quantity and quality of content could decline. You can find the entire thread here:

And some smaller streamers criticize the changes as well. Twitch would be sending a signal that effort and growth do not pay off.
btw I’m miles away from an annual earning of 100k on Twitch, but it just shows me that if I work harder, there will still be no support. I think to myself, on YouTube I already get the 70/30 share on my very first livestream!
Some users, on the other hand, see hypocrisy among the proponents of the new regulation: The supposedly “rich” streamers are not to be allowed to keep the money, but the fact that revenues end up with the billion-dollar Amazon corporation is irrelevant to the people (via Twitter).
Is there now a mass exodus to YouTube?
What’s next for streamers? In light of these developments, some streamers are considering whether Twitch is still the right platform for them. Many seem to be contemplating the idea of jumping ship to competitors like YouTube.
Others warn against a hasty switch: On YouTube, it is significantly harder to be discovered by potential viewers.
What do you think of the decision? Have the “rich” streamers had it too good for too long and are the changes just fair? Or does every streamer lose out while Amazon profits? Feel free to leave us a comment with your opinion.
2022 seems to be the year of major changes for Twitch: Just in August, it became easier for partners to reach a larger audience – under certain conditions.

A new single-player city-building game is coming to Steam soon that many probably don’t have on their radar. Gord, a town manager, lets you build your own village in a dark atmosphere reminiscent of Diablo.
What kind of game is this? In Gord, you take on the responsibility of a village in a dark environment built around Slavic mythology. Your task is to keep your residents happy, expand your village, complete quests, and safely navigate your residents through exploration tours.
But beware, many dreadful monsters roam the lands. You must be careful not to lead your village to ruin. Although the game is not from Blizzard, the setting and graphics bear striking similarities to Diablo.
Dark setting with quests and exciting battles
This is what makes Gord special: In Gord, the safety of your residents is a key aspect of the game. You must continue to expand your village and ensure that your people are satisfied and safe. To do this, you can build various facilities.
You can catch a closer look at Gord in this 16-minute trailer:

Gord on Steam – 16 Minutes of Gameplay with Developer Commentary
Defensive structures, as well as baths and other monuments can be built. They ensure that residents can be retrained as fighters and can relax after their expeditions.
Gord also emphasizes a lot of freedom, as your residents are not doomed to remain in their roles after training. If you need more archers, you can retrain your axe fighters at any time. However, keep in mind the skills your people already possess. The higher they are in combat, for example, the more effective and deadly they will fight.
Your careful selection will benefit you during various expeditions in quests and simple looting. You will encounter many monsters, humans, or animals that want to get you. You can then either defeat them strategically in battle or even annihilate them with spells.
In the game, you follow a single-player story that is divided into several chapters. However, you can also create a custom scenario. In this, you can set weather conditions, available POIs, a goal, and other modifiers. As you can see, there is much to do in Gord, and you are the boss of the whole story.
When will Gord be released? Unfortunately, that is not known yet. The release timeframe was targeted for 2022. Whether that plan will change or when exactly the title will appear on Steam is still unknown.
What do you think of Gord? Do you find it cool and want to try it out? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
Are you looking for more games like Diablo? Then we have just the right thing for you:
For the very first time, World of Warcraft is looking for a single hero who is superior to all others in the arena. Who will be the best solo champion of Azeroth?
In World of Warcraft, eSports have long been a part of the game, especially the PvP matches in the arena, which are always a spectator magnet, as well as the dungeon tournaments. But for the first time, Blizzard is not looking for a team that dominates the arena successfully – but for solo players.
In the big “Solo Shuffle Showdown”, 72 fighters will compete against each other, and in the end, only two of them can receive the coveted title of Champion – one DPS character and one healer.
What is Solo Shuffle? The “Solo Shuffle” (or “Mixed Solo” in German) is a PvP mode that was introduced to World of Warcraft with Shadowlands. It is a very fast-paced PvP variant where basically everyone fights for themselves, although there is indeed a team component.
In a match, there will be 2 healers and 4 DPS players. The two healers act as the “team captains” and can never be on the same team. The 4 DPS players, on the other hand, switch teams merrily after each round, so there is a different combination of players every time.
In “Solo Shuffle”, everyone fights for themselves – even though there are teams.
The goal of each match is simple: to kill a single player. Typically, the player with the worst gear is chosen, who is then targeted by the whole team while the healer frantically tries to keep that player alive.
The winner at the end is the one who can achieve the most victories.
In a tournament, the gear will be balanced so that there is no “obviously” weakest character.
How does the tournament work? A total of 72 players will compete against each other, first in the knockout round and the winners from there will compete in the final.
In the two knockout rounds, 36 players will be divided into 6 groups and then play 3 matches. Each victory will be rewarded with a point.
The 8 best DPS characters and 4 best healers (by points) from each region will then advance to the final.
In the final, the points will be reset, and the 12 best players from each region will be randomly split into 2 groups.
The 4 best DPS and 2 best healers will then play one last match.
The player who has collected the most points as a DPS or healer character on the final day will then be crowned the tournament winner.
How can you follow the tournament? Those who want to watch the tournament live should keep the upcoming weekend (September 23 – 25) and the evening hours free.
The broadcast will start at 7:00 PM German time and will likely go late into the night. In German, the whole event will be accompanied by Streamer Naiikaii on Twitch, and in English, you can also follow the tournament on YouTube.
What is special about it? This is quite clear: Blizzard is looking for strong solo players this time. Normally, PvP tournaments always aim for the best teams that work nearly perfectly together. However, this time it is different.
Even though team play is indeed necessary in Solo Shuffle, at the end of the day, everyone fights for themselves, and only one player from each category (DPS or healer) can win. As the teams continuously change, quick adaptation is necessary.
With Dragonflight, Solo Shuffle will become a permanent, ranked game mode. This fulfills a long-time wish of PvP fans for a “solo queue” so that one is not necessarily dependent on a team to achieve high performance in PvP.
What do you think of such a PvP tournament that seeks solo champions? An interesting innovation that also benefits solo players? Or should PvP in WoW always be focused on team performance?

A covered face can be a good marketing tool, as we also know in Germany. Rapper Cro and Sido also only showed themselves with masks at the beginning of their careers and benefited from that.
For one’s private life, this can also be advantageous. Dream is probably one of the few YouTubers with over 30 million subs who can still casually walk through a large shopping street without being immediately swarmed by fans.
