An invisible hero caused frustration in Overwatch but Blizzard reacted quickly.
Soldier: 76 in camo
During a beta test, small glitches occur more often, but the latest bug in Overwatch was a bit more serious. With the previous patch, many heroes received new skins that can be unlocked through the extensive progression system.
The hero Soldier: 76 enjoyed the two new skins “Commando: 76” and “Night Ops: 76” and seemed to have taken the camo a bit too seriously. Instead of being able to show off with his new skin, the character simply became completely invisible.
Many players surely wondered why enemies simply walked past them. However, Blizzard reacted swiftly and had to pull the emergency brake: It was not possible to temporarily disable just the two skins, but Soldier: 76 was completely locked.
In the meantime, Blizzard has fixed the bug, and a new patch was released last night that repaired the two skins and unlocked Soldier: 76 for all players again. Now the soldier just has to manage with his aimbot (his ultimate), as he will have to forgo the invisible hack.
