The multifaceted heroes give depth to the team shooter Overwatch. For some time now, fans have been particularly interested in Genji’s story – and his body. There is now an official statement regarding the functionality of Genji’s lower body.
Who is Genji? Who was he before?
Genji Shimada, the youngest scion of the Shimada clan, was a pampered playboy in his youth. Instead of focusing on his ninja training, he preferred to indulge in the pleasures of life rather than the criminal activities of his family. This led to him incurring the wrath of his brother Hanzo after their father’s death – who seemingly killed him.
He was taken in and saved by Overwatch while severely injured. This transformed him into the cyborg ninja we know today. Genji’s new body is largely made of metal.
The lore of the character Genji interests many fans. Since his “Blackwatch” skin became available, there have been explicit questions about his past. After all, he was once a womanizer.
The question of all questions: Does Genji have a penis?
The skin clearly shows that Genji’s lower body has been artificially renewed. Members of the fanart site DeviantArt, writers of fanfiction, directors of… certain “Source Filmmaker” short films, and fans have long wondered: Is Genji’s penis still real? And does it still work?
The Thai gaming site “Online Station” has dealt more intensively with this query. The authors pushed for so long that a response came directly from lead writer Michael Chu:
“If you take a closer look at Genji’s ‘Blackwatch’ skin, you can see that parts of his body are missing. However, I hereby confirm that his ‘lower body’ is completely intact and ‘normal’!”
Concerned fans can breathe easy! Everything on Genji works as it should. And Dr. Ziegler may have had a specific reason for saving the ninja’s best piece…
