Blizzard’s online team shooter Overwatch piques curiosity about the next hero, a former weightlifter.
In games that are still so early in development, like Blizzard’s Overwatch, it’s always a bit strange when new heroes are announced. Most players haven’t yet interacted with the strange existing roster. There are still many unknowns: outside of the talking monkey Winston, many likely still remember him from the trailer. But few know what the Asian archer is called or what the guy in the grim reaper outfit is like at such an early stage.
This doesn’t stop Blizzard from mysteriously announcing the next hero with a former weightlifter. In a shadow cut, he is advertised on the cover of a fictional sports magazine – along with various tips for muscle building.
We will probably learn more about it on March 6, then Blizzard will present Overwatch and the plans for it in more detail at Pax East in Boston. It is also expected that a new map will be shown.
