Normally, Snorlax and Lapras are rarely found in the wild of Pokémon GO, but due to a bug, these monsters could be found everywhere in the world in nests.
Here’s how the bug occurred: Yesterday at 10 PM, the event around Pokémon Day started. During this, the nests changed as well. Pokémon from the 1st generation became more frequent in nests.
However, it seems that Niantic made a mistake, and rare Pokémon like Snorlax or evolutions like Jolteon got their own nests. This caused these Pokémon to spawn everywhere in parks and made them very easy to catch.
What are nests? Nests can be found in almost every park or green space. There, a species of Pokémon appears particularly frequently. Some Pokémon do not get nests. These include evolutions and rare Pokémon like Larvitar, Snorlax, or Dratini.
These Pokémon were affected
Which Pokémon spawned in nests? Not every monster was affected by this bug. The following Pokémon were found in nests:
- Snorlax
- Lapras
- Aerodactyl
- Vaporeon
- Jolteon
- Flareon
This is how players found out: Many trainers were astonished when they had several rare Pokémon on their Nearby List right at the start of the event. On Reddit , they shared their findings, and it turned out that such nests appeared all over the world.
These are the highlights: It is particularly amusing when a Pokémon like Snorlax gathers in large numbers at one spot. This happened to “zeflind,” as he showed on Reddit:
Eevee evolutions are very rare in the wild. Therefore, it is even funnier when you have 4 Vaporeon nearby:
Even though it is just a small nest, Aerodactyl was also found in nests:
How long did this last? The whole fun did not last very long. It lasted only about an hour for lucky players to take advantage of these nests. Niantic fixed the bug and allowed other Pokémon to spawn in the parks.
Were you affected as well? Did you find such a nest?
