In Pokémon GO today is the Community Day Classic. Unfortunately, Niantic made a mistake with the appropriate showcase Pokémon.
Today, Voltulamm is the focus in Pokémon GO. All information about the Community Day Classic with Voltulamm can be found with us. However, there is a small inconsistency with the corresponding showcase. As Niantic reports, they unfortunately made a small mistake. So, the showcase Pokémon today is not, as one would expect, Voltulamm – but rather Schiggy.
In this regard, Niantic writes on X (formerly Twitter): “Trainers, please note that Schiggy will appear in PokéStop showcases during the Voltulamm Community Day Classic today instead of Voltulamm. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
Standard settings for the Niantic showcase not adjusted?
On Reddit, a discussion is taking place about how such a mistake can happen. The user Brock_Hard_Canuck has a fitting explanation that seems understandable in this context.
He writes: “Schiggy seems to be the standard showcase Pokémon. So if Niantic sets up a showcase and forgets to set the Pokémon type correctly, it will default to Schiggy.”
The switch to Voltulamm was probably forgotten today, which means that you need a good Schiggy today to win the showcases, not Voltulamm.
