The rarest achievement in World of Warcraft is so confusing that even the owners do not know why they have it.
There are now several thousand achievements in World of Warcraft. The so-called achievements can be earned for all sorts of accomplishments in the game: exploring an area, defeating enemies in PvP, or even just reaching a certain level. However, one achievement is so hard to get and so hidden that only a handful of players have obtained it so far.
The curious thing? The affected players have no idea why they received the achievement.
Which achievement is it? We are talking about the feat “Employee of the Month”. This is not openly visible, but rather a hidden feat that only appears in the overview when it is obtained. However, it is readable through data mining — and by the fact that a few characters have already obtained the feat.
The description of the feat states that you must prove yourself as “the most valuable employee of the last pay period for C.H.E.T.T.”.
Particularly frustrating is that this feat also comes with an interesting title, namely “Character name, Employee of the Month”. And if the community is annoyed by something, it is interesting titles where one does not know how to obtain them.
What is C.H.E.T.T.? The C.H.E.T.T. machine (or “CHETT”) can be found on the upper floor of the central hotel of Lorenhall. Here you can receive a list of tasks every week that you can then complete. For this, there are Valor Stones and at the end a decision: Do you want to hand in the list at CHETT to receive more Valor Stones? Or do you give the list to one of the Goblin cartels for additional reputation?
Why do some have the feat? If you look at sites like dataforazeroth, it is obvious that the feat is obtainable. Because 0.0005% of all accounts seen there have achieved this feat – that corresponds to 6 accounts.
The few who have this feat cannot explain why they were chosen. Allegedly, when talking to CHETT, they suddenly had a new option where the machine would blink red – clicking on this option grants the feat and the title.
What exactly triggers this interaction is controversial, and no one knows exactly why it appeared.
What theories exist? Although there are no reliable information yet, several theories exist about how to obtain the feat. Some of them have already been proven wrong, while others are nearly impossible to verify.
The theory that for “Employee of the Month” one must submit a CHETT list every day for an entire month has already been refuted. Several people claim to have tried this and were ultimately disappointed after much work.
Another theory is that within a month you must be the person who has submitted the most CHETT lists in the entire region (Europe, USA, Asia). Verifying this is nearly impossible, as there are no traceable records of how many CHETT lists other characters have submitted.
This is what the community hopes for: In the game’s community, a lot of frustration has built up over this feat by now. Because after over 3 months without concrete leads, one wishes for clarity from Blizzard about how this feat works — if it indeed works as intended.
Do you have an idea of how one could be named Employee of the Month by CHETT? Have you undertaken efforts to obtain this feat or does it seem like a futile endeavor to you?
How you can earn more reputation with CHETT, we have explained here.
