The anime adaptation of One Piece has now surpassed the 1,000-episode mark. Newcomers have a hard time catching up with this massive amount of episodes. There used to be an episode that summarized an entire arc to make catching up easier. But now, that episode can no longer be found.
Which episode is it about? Between Skypia and Water 7, there was an arc where Luffy and his crew landed on Long Ring Long Land. There, they participated in the Davy Back Fight, hosted by the Foxy Pirate Crew.

Actually, the arc spans from episode 207 to 219. However, the production team of the anime, Toei Animation, released a special episode on the occasion of the Japanese TV premiere of One Piece: Adventure on Nebulandia, which summarizes the storyline of the arc in just one episode.
The Davy Back Fight is considered one of the least popular arcs of the entire anime. In rankings like on 1Screen Magazine, the arc almost always occupies one of the lower spots. Accordingly, the special episode was also unpopular and can no longer be found.

Why is the episode nowhere to be found? The episode was aired once on Fuji TV. Those who wanted to see the episode had to either turn on the TV or own a Garapon TV. This is a TV program recorder for Japan that could record the episode for later viewing.
However, the episode was not available to watch all over Japan, and Japanese viewers had to make a reservation to see the episode. Therefore, it was difficult to watch the episode at all.

The challenger determines how the individual games of the competition will be structured. The loser of the Davy Backfight loses a member of their crew to the other team. Foxy and Luffy face off in such a competition in the anime. But Luffy must find out that Foxy does not play by fair means.
