The online shooter Star Wars Battlefront 2 is already considered an immensely improved game in 2020. Today, on February 26th, Battlefront 2 receives a comprehensive update that introduces new maps and an Ewok as an additional hero.
What kind of update is this? Age of Rebellion revolves around the original trilogy of Star Wars and introduces some maps featured in episodes 4 to 6. New reinforcements are also included: The Ewok Hunter.
Lots of New Features
What are the highlights of the update? In addition to bug fixes and balance adjustments, the update for the online shooter Star Wars Battlefront 2 introduces some major new features. These include:
- The Ewok Hunter as a new reinforcement unit for the Rebels
- ISB Agent as reinforcement for the Empire
- Co-op on the maps Endor, Death Star II, Hoth, Yavin 4, Kessel, and Tatooine – Mos Eisley as well as Jabba’s Palace
- Heroes vs. Villains can now be played on MC85 Star Cruiser and Resurgent-Class Star Destroyer
- Hero Showdown is available on the maps MC85 Star Cruiser, Resurgent-Class Star Destroyer, Republic Attack Cruiser, and Separatist Dreadnought, Felucia
- New weapons for Trooper classes can be unlocked, including blasters!
Fans of Ewoks, who are known to have nearly single-handedly brought down the Empire, can now summon a hunter for reinforcement. This cuddly teddy bear takes down the stormtroopers just as we know Ewoks to do.
Especially interesting is the co-op mode, which you will play on maps inspired by the original Star Wars trilogy. Racing through Jabba’s Palace or Mos Eisley together is a lot of fun.
Several other improvements such as bug fixes and balance adjustments as well as optimizations for some heroes are also coming. They are meant to make Star Wars Battlefront 2 feel even smoother.
