The DLC for Elden Ring brings a whole load of new weapons into the game. Among them is one that deals a lot of damage – provided you know how to use it.

A particular focus is on an inconspicuous perfume bottle that at first glance doesn’t look like a weapon at all. After all, most of you don’t associate perfumes with fighting, dying, resurrecting – the eternal cycle of Elden Ring.
But the harmless appearance of the small bottles should not deceive. As the content creator SYROBE shows in a video on YouTube, the bottles have some serious power.
Boses have little chance against perfume
Why is the weapon so strong? Overall, there are five different perfume bottles to find in the DLC. For the build that the YouTuber shows in a video, he uses the lightning perfume bottle.
He combines it with the war ash “Rolling Sparks.” This causes the explosions from the bottle to be fired in a line in front of the player character, significantly increasing the range.
However, if you aim it at the ground, the explosions stack on top of each other and cause an impressive amount of damage. The build also utilizes additional talismans and equipment that further increase the damage.
Combined, this ensures that the bosses of the expansion meet their demise within seconds. Even the final boss of Shadow of the Erdtree only lasts about 13 seconds against the build.

Does it work in the main game as well? The answer is yes. All weapons from the DLC can also be used in the main game, and likely work even more effectively there. After all, the expansion is significantly harder than the rest.
However, FromSoftware has already announced balance patches. So it’s possible that the deadly perfume bottle will receive a nerf and will no longer be as strong. The last patch, on the other hand, made the game easier – likely also because many user reviews were dissatisfied.
