In Once Human, there are scenarios on the servers that run like Seasons. Outside of that, there is the “Eternaland” – your own island where you can unleash your creativity. We explain where to find it and how it works.
What is Eternaland? Eternaland is your safe haven in the post-apocalyptic world of Once Human. There are no mutants wanting to take you out, but also no cute mutations that help you in your base. Additionally, you are not affected by star dust pollution there. Your buildings are permanent and never disappear. Upon entering, the NPC says “V” to you: It’s as if time stands still here.
Different rules apply in Eternaland:
- Buildings have no height and size restrictions. They do not collapse if you remove supporting elements.
- You determine who may visit your island and can invite friends.
- You can select the weather conditions and the time of day.
- You decide whether to allow PvP and which weapons and vehicles are permitted.
- You can toggle LP, energy, hydration, and sanity on and off.
How do I access Eternaland? In Once Human, you receive the quest “Eternaland One” at Level 20, which prompts you to visit Eternaland. Once there, you should go to the building in the center of the island. You enter Eternaland through the game menu by clicking on the small palm in the top right corner. In the main menu, you also have the option to enter Eternaland directly instead of a scenario.
You also exit Eternaland through the game menu by clicking on “Leave Eternaland” at the bottom. You can travel back and forth at any time. In Eternaland, there are “space-time canvases” that allow you to teleport to different locations on your island.
Eternaland: Building and Selling
How do I build in Eternaland? In the building menu, you have access to all the elements that you have unlocked in the current scenario through the memetics. In Eternaland, you cannot simply use materials from the “outside world”; instead, Astralsand is required for building. However, you do not have to farm resources here, unlike in the normal scenario.
There are various ways to obtain Astralsand:
- You disassemble elements in Eternaland in build mode, such as trees and buildings
- You sell items from your backpack (seasonal/Eternaland) in Eternaland
- You complete quests in Eternaland
In addition to build mode, there is an island market that you can open with “F8”. There you can sell your collected items from Eternaland, such as berries and seeds. In return, you receive Astralsand. You can also exchange items from your seasonal backpack for Astralsand. In the island market, you can also buy items like fishing rods, bait, seeds, and even rare artifacts for Astralsand.
How do scenarios play out? On the servers in Once Human, there are various scenarios. Each lasts six weeks. During these six weeks, also referred to as phases, new content is gradually introduced into the game. At the end of a season, you can send items to Eternaland via the territory terminal. Items in your backpack and territory storage are automatically sent there. Energy connections turn into Astralsand.
At the beginning of a new season, you receive material points, which allow you to transfer items from Eternaland into the new season.
