11:06 PM: A small addendum. According to Sony, you can pre-order the PS5 – starting tomorrow (September 17) with selected retailers.
10:50 PM: The PS5 event is now over. Finally, Sony has let the cat out of the bag.
10:48 PM: Finally, after a gameplay collection, there was another cool little teaser – for the new God of War 5 Ragnarok, which is set to be released in 2021.
10:44 PM: Now, the most important thing: The price and release date of the PS5 have been announced!
- The disc version of the PS5 costs 499.99€
- The digital version without Blu-ray drive costs 399.99€
In Germany, the new PS5 consoles will be available from November 19. In the USA, Japan, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, and South Korea starting on November 12, 2020.
10:40 PM: The PS Plus Collection has been introduced – a large collection of 18 PS4 hits such as Resident Evil Biohazard or Days Gone, which will be available to all PS Plus subscribers at launch of the PS5. Just download and play, it is said.

10:34 PM: After Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach – a point-and-click horror survival game, now an ARPG highlight is being shown – Demon’s Souls. It looks not only stunning, but it will likely cause some sweating among Soulslike fans.
Unfortunately, there are still no signs of the price and release date of the PS5. But there is still time.
10:28 PM: This will probably cause great joy among some PlayStation gamers. The trailer for Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition for the PS5 is running. As usual, the spectacular battles are very effective and action-packed.
10:25 PM: Now, a new shooter in the colorful 80s look is being introduced – Deathloop. The game is set to be released in Q2 2021 and combines cool gunplay with teleporting abilities.
10:22 PM: Now it’s getting spooky. There seems to be a look at the new Resident Evil Village. Behind the horror story from the village, there is apparently more to it than previously believed.
10:16 PM: Now there’s an exclusive look at a mission from the new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. This takes place at night on a military airfield and is action-rich as usual – especially for a secret, illegal military operation.
By the way, this Friday, according to the developers, the alpha for players on PS4 should start streaming already.
10:13 PM: Now there’s something really magical to see. The game is called Hogwarts Legacy and transports you into the world of Harry Potter, complete with dragons, wizards, and the eponymous Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
10:06 PM: Now there’s ingame footage of the PS5 – and from Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales! The graphics and detail density already look very nice. The fights and the environment are filled with effects, everything is almost cinematic. The gameplay looks promising at first glance.
10:01 PM: Now it’s starting. There are gameplay clips from various games for the PS5. The first trailer follows soon after. It is a new Final Fantasy – in an unusually dark look. It’s Final Fantasy XVI.
10:00 PM: Now it should actually start. But nothing is happening yet. “Stay tuned” has been displayed for a while.
