In a good match with players at the same level, sometimes you wish it would go on forever. What happens when that wish comes true is shown by a new glitch in Call of Duty: Warzone. Small spoiler: It’s total chaos.
What is this glitch? Whatever mechanic in Call of Duty: Warzone was feeling playful with this new glitch, it led to all players respawning over and over.
The player “b6109” posted a clip on reddit that shows the chaos in full:

What was going on? In the clip, you see the Redditor “b6109” who is “Lefty” in the Warzone, just before the end of a solo round. At least that’s what he believes. But something seems off with the Gulag, the respawn mechanic of the CoD battle royale.
With the closure of the 4th gas circle, the Gulag phase ends and players who have fallen for the first time no longer have a chance to return to the match. The soldiers are warned with a big “Gulag is closed” in the middle of their screens. The message usually disappears after a few seconds. However, “Lefty” is already in the 7th gas circle and the message is still prominently displayed.
Apparently, striking inmates have taken over the Gulag, causing all players who go down to respawn directly above Verdansk. Here are some tips on how to get out of the Gulag legally.
The result of this respawn loop is fatal and is no longer comparable to a normal match. The soldiers continuously fall from the sky and fight each other with whatever they can find – initially with firearms, later they just beat each other up.
The clip ends when there is no more playing field and “Lefty” disappointingly lands on the “gravel slide tower” at the old train yard near “Quarry” and dies miserably due to the gas. More about the effects of the gas can be found here:
Was there really no winner? In such a broken match, probably no one wins. “Lefty” racked up 27 kills during the round but then left the match. Theoretically, the team with the most endurance wins. Because once there are no living opponents left, a winner is determined.
But how long the most enduring team held out, we will probably never know. “Lefty” also comments under the reddit clip about his fellow sufferers: “They could still be in there!”.
The Warzone occasionally struggles with such absurd glitches – sometimes there is a snake glitch where players change their field of view, sometimes soldiers come out of the Gulag with a speed and health buff.
But the developers are on it and are trying to fix the worst issues as quickly as possible. Currently, there are 11 bugs on the list for CoD MW & Warzone that may be fixed in Season 5. Such absurd incidents can definitely be annoying.
