Visual Improvements for PC and Consoles
How do you get the remaster for free? You will get the remaster versions of the three games for free if you already own the games – which is likely the case for fans. For example, if you already have “Shadow of Chornobyl” in your library, you will receive its Enhanced Edition as a free update.
What’s included in the updates? In addition to graphical improvements, there is also controller support for PC. Additionally, the Steam Workshop will be integrated, making it easier to share and download mods. Those playing on the Steam Deck can also expect the games to run smoothly there.
In terms of graphics, you can expect:
- improved lighting and reflections
- New textures and models for NPCs, weapons, and environmental objects
- better rendering of water and wetness as well as a renewed skybox
- cutscenes in 4K and an improved field-of-view for weapons
On PC, you can get the games on Steam, in the Epic Games Store, and on GOG. On the consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the remasters will also be available. There you can expect several quality modes – depending on whether you prefer the best possible graphics or more FPS.
