New World has announced a crossover with the TV series Wheel of Time, which is also part of Amazon. Through the crossover, you will be able to obtain new outfits, skins for your weapons, and crests for your guilds. All you have to do is watch Twitch.
This is the crossover: The MMO New World from Amazon Game Studios will launch its first crossover in December with the new TV series Wheel of Time.
As part of the crossover, players can receive a total of 6 different cosmetic items. These include:
- Outfits of the characters from the series: Red Aja Cloak, Children of the Light Cloak, Egwene’s Cloak, and Nynaeve’s Coat
- Weapon skins: Tam’s Blade and Shadowspawn Blade
- The Ouroboros crest from the series, which they can use for their guilds.
How to get the items: The crossover items are, as is often the case with Amazon, available as Twitch drops. To receive them, you need to watch a channel that streams New World and has the drops active.
The longer you watch, the more drops you earn. To get all the items, you must have watched a total of 7 hours of New World content on Twitch.
The crossover starts on December 23 and ends on January 12. So you have plenty of time to collect all the items.
What is Wheel of Time? Wheel of Time is originally a book series written by the American author Robert Jordan. The story revolves around the eternal conflict between good and evil and follows the character Rand al’Thor.
He is a farmer’s son who grows up in an idyllic rural area known as the Two Rivers. But he and some of his friends have to flee when they are attacked and pursued by beastmen known as Trollocs.
On November 21, Wheel of Time premiered as a TV series on Amazon Prime and has received relatively good ratings so far, with 83% on Rotten Tomatoes and 7.5 stars on IMDb.
