New World was not live for server maintenance on October 14, 2025. The maintenance is now over. Here you can read what is in the patch.
What is in the patch? The maintenance of New World took place from 8 to 9 AM German time on October 14, 2025. The game was therefore unavailable for about an hour.
According to X.com, the developers made the following changes live:
- Fixed various crashing issues
- Re-enabled the blunderbuss weapon
Are the servers live again? According to the official New World website, all servers are now live again. Therefore, it can be played as usual:

Season 10 excites players with new region – Causes new peak
What is currently happening in New World? After not much happened recently in New World, the new Season 10 is exciting the players. This went live on October 13, 2025. Even before the release, there was great praise for the update and upon release, it caused a new player peak: The current 24-hour maximum player count is at 41,065 – more than twice as much as last time (via SteamDB).
