New World offers several professions that you can level up to level 200 and beyond. In this guide, we from MeinMMO would like to explain how you can level Arcana especially quickly and what special tricks you should pay attention to.
What does Arcana do? This profession focuses on the creation of magical weapons as well as potions and elemental reagents. As a mage, this profession is essential and can also be very useful otherwise.
How to level Arcana effectively? Arcana is relatively straightforward in the leveling process. You primarily start with weapons, switch to potions in between, and at the end, you create weapons again.
It is important to pay attention to the prices of the elemental particles on your server. Air, earth, fire, water, soul, life, and death differ significantly in prices depending on the server.
Leveling Arcana – Here’s how
From Level 1 to 50: For the first levels, you have the choice between fire staff or life staff made of iron, depending on whether fire particles or life particles are cheaper. You create 44 of these staffs and need:
- 1,408x Freshwood
- 880x Iron ore
- 176x Coarse leather
- 264x Fire particles or life particles
Level 50 to 100: Starting from level 50, you stick to this pattern but switch to the steel variant of both staffs.
For the full levels, you need 136 staffs:
- 1,088x Raw wood
- 2,729x Iron ore
- 544x Coarse leather
- 816x Fire particles or life particles
Level 100 to 150: From this level onwards, it is advisable to either create powerful health potions or switch to ice gloves or cursed gloves. This is because wyrdwood is relatively expensive and is required for the two staffs. However, powerful alkahest for the potions is very cheap on many servers.
Ideally, you should proceed as follows. First, you create 86 powerful health potions. For this, you need:
- 86x Powerful alkahest
- 86x Cattail flower
- 86x Earth particles
- 86x Summoning bloom
With this, you reach level 108. From there on, you switch to powerful concentration potions. For this, you need 1,034 pieces or the following materials:
- 1,034x Powerful alkahest
- 1,034x Water particles
- 1,034x Summoning bloom
- 1,034x Earth particles

Level 150 to 200: For the last levels, we recommend the production of 280 ice gloves or cursed gloves, again depending on the costs of the water or death particles. You need:
- 17,920x Resilient animal hide
- 20,677x Thick animal hide
- 6,892x Coarse leather
- 5,686x Mature tanning agent
- 5,600x Fibers
- 4,480x Iron ore
- 1,680x Water particles
Additionally, you can also create treated health potions or treated mana potions in between, as both are also useful for you since you can use them in combat.
