Where can you get salt? You can get salt from supply crates, stash spots, and supply caches in two specific areas of the open world, as well as from various packages and crates containing crafting materials. However, for all these contents, a drop of salt is not guaranteed, and you will always need some luck.
You will best get salt from chests in the areas of Everfall and Windsward. You can often find the chests hidden at the Points of Interest marked on the map.
The crates in the open world have a respawn timer of 30 to 60 minutes, so you can farm them regularly.

How expensive is salt at the trading post? On the server Styx, salt is currently traded for 12 coins per piece, and on the server Arcturus for 13.5 coins. Salt can also theoretically be used to make a bit of money.
