The Briar Branches are useful in New World for a quest, but also for making potions. We at MeinMMO reveal where you can best find Briar Branches.
What are Briar Branches used for? Most of you will first notice the Briar Branches through the quest “A Thorny Matter”. For this quest, you need to gather the Briar Branches along with other materials and bring them to Matthis Cormack in Windkreis.
However, they can also be used to make potions that you can consume or use for city quests. For example, you can create a Weak Mana Potion. While it provides only a small amount of Mana, it is offered for good money at the trading post through city quests.
Where to find Briar Branches? They can be found at Briar bushes in New World. These grow near bodies of water such as rivers or lakes.
One of the best places to get Briar Branches is the Windkreis area. There you will find several plants around the fast travel point for the main quest, as our map shows:
At what level can you gather Briar Branches? Briar Branches are neither trees nor plants, so you don’t need a specific level to gather them, unlike for example the Rivercress, which can also be easily gathered in the area.
However, the Briar Branches do not contribute to progress in any of the Life Skills and are not listed on typical maps like the New World Resource Map. This makes them harder to find.
